العصر

بِسْمِ In (the) name bis'mi
In (the) name ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah l-lahi
(of) Allah ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ the Most Gracious l-raḥmāni
the Most Gracious ٱلرَّحِيمِ the Most Merciful l-raḥīmi
the Most Merciful

وَٱلْعَصْرِ By the time wal-ʿaṣri
By the time ١ (1)
(1)

إِنَّ Indeed inna
Indeed ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ mankind l-insāna
mankind لَفِى (is) surely, in lafī
(is) surely, in خُسْرٍ loss khus'rin
loss ٢ (2)
(2)

إِلَّا Except illā
Except ٱلَّذِينَ those who alladhīna
those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe āmanū
believe وَعَمِلُوا۟ and do waʿamilū
and do ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ righteous deeds l-ṣāliḥāti
righteous deeds وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ and enjoin (each other) watawāṣaw
and enjoin (each other) بِٱلْحَقِّ to the truth bil-ḥaqi
to the truth وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ and enjoin (each other) watawāṣaw
and enjoin (each other) بِٱلصَّبْرِ to [the] patience bil-ṣabri
to [the] patience ٣ (3)
