Bismillah
بِسْمِ In (the) name bis'mi
In (the) name
ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah l-lahi
(of) Allah
ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ the Most Gracious l-raḥmāni
the Most Gracious
ٱلرَّحِيمِ the Most Merciful l-raḥīmi
the Most Merciful
Im Namen Allahs, des Allerbarmers, des Barmherzigen
12:1
الٓر ۚ Alif Laam Ra alif-lam-ra
Alif Laam Ra
تِلْكَ These til'ka
These
ءَايَـٰتُ (are the) Verses āyātu
(are the) Verses
ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ (of) the Book l-kitābi
(of) the Book
ٱلْمُبِينِ [the] clear l-mubīni
[the] clear
١ (1)
(1)
Alif-Lam-Ra. Dies sind die Zeichen des deutlichen Buches.
12:2
إِنَّآ Indeed, We innā
Indeed, We
أَنزَلْنَـٰهُ We have sent it down anzalnāhu
We have sent it down
قُرْءَٰنًا (as) a Quran in Arabic qur'ānan
(as) a Quran in Arabic
عَرَبِيًّۭا (as) a Quran in Arabic ʿarabiyyan
(as) a Quran in Arabic
لَّعَلَّكُمْ so that you may laʿallakum
so that you may
تَعْقِلُونَ understand taʿqilūna
understand
٢ (2)
(2)
Wir haben es als einen arabischen Qur’an hinabgesandt, auf daß ihr begreifen möget.
12:3
نَحْنُ We naḥnu
We
نَقُصُّ relate naquṣṣu
relate
عَلَيْكَ to you ʿalayka
to you
أَحْسَنَ the best aḥsana
the best
ٱلْقَصَصِ of the narrations l-qaṣaṣi
of the narrations
بِمَآ in what bimā
in what
أَوْحَيْنَآ We have revealed awḥaynā
We have revealed
إِلَيْكَ to you ilayka
to you
هَـٰذَا (of) this hādhā
(of) this
ٱلْقُرْءَانَ the Quran l-qur'āna
the Quran
وَإِن although wa-in
although
كُنتَ you were kunta
you were
مِن before it min
before it
قَبْلِهِۦ before it qablihi
before it
لَمِنَ surely among lamina
surely among
ٱلْغَـٰفِلِينَ the unaware l-ghāfilīna
the unaware
٣ (3)
(3)
Wir berichten dir die schönsten Geschichten dadurch, daß Wir dir diesen Qur’an (als Offenbarung) eingegeben haben, obgleich du zuvor wahrlich zu den Unachtsamen gehörtest.
12:4
إِذْ When idh

يَـٰٓأَبَتِ O my father yāabati

إِنِّى Indeed, I innī
Indeed, I
رَأَيْتُ I saw ra-aytu
I saw
أَحَدَ eleven aḥada
eleven
عَشَرَ eleven ʿashara
eleven
كَوْكَبًۭا stars kawkaban
stars
وَٱلشَّمْسَ and the sun wal-shamsa
and the sun
وَٱلْقَمَرَ and the moon wal-qamara
and the moon
رَأَيْتُهُمْ I saw them ra-aytuhum
I saw them
لِى to me
to me
سَـٰجِدِينَ prostrating sājidīna
prostrating
٤ (4)
(4)
Als Yusuf zu seinem Vater sagte: O mein Vater, ich sah elf Sterne und die Sonne und den Mond, ich sah sie sich vor mir niederwerfen.
12:5
قَالَ He said qāla
He said
يَـٰبُنَىَّ O my son yābunayya
O my son
لَا (Do) not
(Do) not
تَقْصُصْ relate taqṣuṣ
relate
رُءْيَاكَ your vision ru'yāka
your vision
عَلَىٰٓ to ʿalā
to
إِخْوَتِكَ your brothers ikh'watika
your brothers
فَيَكِيدُوا۟ lest they plan fayakīdū
lest they plan
لَكَ against you laka
against you
كَيْدًا ۖ a plot kaydan
a plot
إِنَّ Indeed inna
Indeed
ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنَ the Shaitaan l-shayṭāna
the Shaitaan
لِلْإِنسَـٰنِ (is) to man lil'insāni
(is) to man
عَدُوٌّۭ an enemy ʿaduwwun
an enemy
مُّبِينٌۭ open mubīnun
open
٥ (5)
(5)
Er sagt: O mein lieber Sohn, erzähle dein (Traum)gesicht nicht deinen Brüdern, sonst werden sie eine List gegen dich schmieden. Gewiß, der Satan ist dem Menschen ein deutlicher Feind.
12:6
وَكَذَٰلِكَ And thus wakadhālika
And thus
يَجْتَبِيكَ will choose you yajtabīka
will choose you
رَبُّكَ your Lord rabbuka
your Lord
وَيُعَلِّمُكَ and will teach you wayuʿallimuka
and will teach you
مِن of min
of
تَأْوِيلِ (the) interpretation tawīli
(the) interpretation
ٱلْأَحَادِيثِ (of) the narratives l-aḥādīthi
(of) the narratives
وَيُتِمُّ and complete wayutimmu
and complete
نِعْمَتَهُۥ His Favor niʿ'matahu
His Favor
عَلَيْكَ on you ʿalayka
on you
وَعَلَىٰٓ and on waʿalā
and on
ءَالِ (the) family āli
(the) family
يَعْقُوبَ (of) Yaqub yaʿqūba
(of) Yaqub
كَمَآ as kamā
as
أَتَمَّهَا He completed it atammahā
He completed it
عَلَىٰٓ on ʿalā
on
أَبَوَيْكَ your two forefathers abawayka
your two forefathers
مِن before min
before
قَبْلُ before qablu
before
إِبْرَٰهِيمَ Ibrahim ib'rāhīma
Ibrahim
وَإِسْحَـٰقَ ۚ and Isaac wa-is'ḥāqa
and Isaac
إِنَّ Indeed inna
Indeed
رَبَّكَ your Lord rabbaka
your Lord
عَلِيمٌ (is) All-Knower ʿalīmun
(is) All-Knower
حَكِيمٌۭ All-Wise ḥakīmun
All-Wise
٦ (6)
(6)
Und so wird dein Herr dich erwählen und dich etwas von der Deutung der Geschichten lehren und Seine Gunst an dir und an der Sippe Ya’qubs vollenden, wie Er sie zuvor an deinen beiden Vätern Ibrahim und lshaq vollendet hat. Gewiß, dein Herr ist Allwissend und Allweise.
12:7
۞ لَّقَدْ Certainly laqad
Certainly
كَانَ were kāna

فِى in

يُوسُفَ Yusuf yūsufa
Yusuf
وَإِخْوَتِهِۦٓ and his brothers wa-ikh'watihi
and his brothers
ءَايَـٰتٌۭ signs āyātun
signs
لِّلسَّآئِلِينَ for those who ask lilssāilīna
for those who ask
٧ (7)
(7)
Wahrlich, in Yusuf und seinen Brüdern sind Zeichen für diejenigen, die (nach der Wahrheit) fragen.
12:8
إِذْ When idh
When
قَالُوا۟ they said qālū
they said
لَيُوسُفُ Surely Yusuf layūsufu
Surely Yusuf
وَأَخُوهُ and his brother wa-akhūhu
and his brother
أَحَبُّ (are) more beloved aḥabbu
(are) more beloved
إِلَىٰٓ to ilā
to
أَبِينَا our father abīnā
our father
مِنَّا than we minnā
than we
وَنَحْنُ while we wanaḥnu
while we
عُصْبَةٌ (are) a group ʿuṣ'batun
(are) a group
إِنَّ Indeed inna
Indeed
أَبَانَا our father abānā
our father
لَفِى (is) surely in lafī
(is) surely in
ضَلَـٰلٍۢ an error ḍalālin
an error
مُّبِينٍ clear mubīnin
clear
٨ (8)
(8)
Als sie sagten: Wahrlich, Yusuf und sein Bruder sind unserem Vater lieber als wir, obwohl wir eine (ansehnliche) Schar sind. Unser Vater befindet sich fürwahr in deutlichem Irrtum.
12:9
ٱقْتُلُوا۟ Kill uq'tulū
Kill
يُوسُفَ Yusuf yūsufa
Yusuf
أَوِ or awi
or
ٱطْرَحُوهُ cast him iṭ'raḥūhu
cast him
أَرْضًۭا (to) a land arḍan
(to) a land
يَخْلُ so will be free yakhlu
so will be free
لَكُمْ for you lakum
for you
وَجْهُ (the) face wajhu
(the) face
أَبِيكُمْ (of) your father abīkum
(of) your father
وَتَكُونُوا۟ and you will be watakūnū
and you will be
مِنۢ after that min
after that
بَعْدِهِۦ after that baʿdihi
after that
قَوْمًۭا a people qawman
a people
صَـٰلِحِينَ righteous ṣāliḥīna
righteous
٩ (9)
(9)
Tötet Yusuf oder werft ihn ins Land hinaus, so wird das Gesicht eures Vaters sich nur noch euch zuwenden, und danach werdet ihr rechtschaffene Leute sein.
12:10
قَالَ Said qāla
Said
قَآئِلٌۭ a speaker qāilun
a speaker
مِّنْهُمْ among them min'hum
among them
لَا (Do) not
(Do) not
تَقْتُلُوا۟ kill taqtulū
kill
يُوسُفَ Yusuf yūsufa
Yusuf
وَأَلْقُوهُ but throw him wa-alqūhu
but throw him
فِى in
in
غَيَـٰبَتِ the bottom ghayābati
the bottom
ٱلْجُبِّ (of) the well l-jubi
(of) the well
يَلْتَقِطْهُ will pick him yaltaqiṭ'hu
will pick him
بَعْضُ some baʿḍu
some
ٱلسَّيَّارَةِ [the] caravan l-sayārati
[the] caravan
إِن if in
if
كُنتُمْ you are kuntum
you are
فَـٰعِلِينَ doing fāʿilīna
doing
١٠ (10)
(10)
Einer von ihnen sagte: Tötet Yusuf nicht, sondern werft ihn in die verborgene Tiefe des Brunnenlochs, so werden ihn schon einige der Reisenden auflesen, wenn ihr doch etwas tun wollt.
12:11
قَالُوا۟ They said qālū
They said
يَـٰٓأَبَانَا O our father yāabānā
O our father
مَا Why
Why
لَكَ (do) you laka
(do) you
لَا not
not
تَأْمَ۫نَّا trust us tamannā
trust us
عَلَىٰ with ʿalā
with
يُوسُفَ Yusuf yūsufa
Yusuf
وَإِنَّا while indeed, we wa-innā
while indeed, we
لَهُۥ (are) for him lahu
(are) for him
لَنَـٰصِحُونَ surely well-wishers lanāṣiḥūna
surely well-wishers
١١ (11)
(11)
Sie sagten: O unser Vater, warum vertraust du uns Yusuf nicht an? Wir werden ihm wahrlich aufrichtig zugetan sein.
12:12
أَرْسِلْهُ Send him arsil'hu
Send him
مَعَنَا with us maʿanā
with us
غَدًۭا tomorrow ghadan
tomorrow
يَرْتَعْ (to) enjoy yartaʿ
(to) enjoy
وَيَلْعَبْ and play wayalʿab
and play
وَإِنَّا And indeed, we wa-innā
And indeed, we
لَهُۥ for him lahu
for him
لَحَـٰفِظُونَ (will) surely (be) guardians laḥāfiẓūna
(will) surely (be) guardians
١٢ (12)
(12)
Sende ihn morgen mit uns, daß er Spaß und Spiel finde; wir werden ihn fürwahr behüten.
12:13
قَالَ He said qāla
He said
إِنِّى Indeed, [I] innī
Indeed, [I]
لَيَحْزُنُنِىٓ it surely saddens me layaḥzununī
it surely saddens me
أَن that an
that
تَذْهَبُوا۟ you should take him tadhhabū
you should take him
بِهِۦ you should take him bihi
you should take him
وَأَخَافُ and I fear wa-akhāfu
and I fear
أَن that an
that
يَأْكُلَهُ would eat him yakulahu
would eat him
ٱلذِّئْبُ a wolf l-dhi'bu
a wolf
وَأَنتُمْ while you wa-antum
while you
عَنْهُ of him ʿanhu
of him
غَـٰفِلُونَ (are) unaware ghāfilūna
(are) unaware
١٣ (13)
(13)
Er sagte: Es macht mich fürwahr traurig, daß ihr ihn mitnehmt. Und ich fürchte, daß ihn der Wolf frißt, während ihr seiner unachtsam seid.
12:14
قَالُوا۟ They said qālū
They said
لَئِنْ If la-in
If
أَكَلَهُ eats him akalahu
eats him
ٱلذِّئْبُ the wolf l-dhi'bu
the wolf
وَنَحْنُ while we wanaḥnu
while we
عُصْبَةٌ (are) a group ʿuṣ'batun
(are) a group
إِنَّآ indeed, we innā
indeed, we
إِذًۭا then idhan
then
لَّخَـٰسِرُونَ surely (would be) losers lakhāsirūna
surely (would be) losers
١٤ (14)
(14)
Sie sagten: Wenn ihn der Wolf fressen sollte, wo wir doch eine (ansehnliche) Schar sind, dann wären wir fürwahr Verlierer.
12:15
فَلَمَّا So when falammā
So when
ذَهَبُوا۟ they took him dhahabū
they took him
بِهِۦ they took him bihi
they took him
وَأَجْمَعُوٓا۟ and agreed wa-ajmaʿū
and agreed
أَن that an
that
يَجْعَلُوهُ they put him yajʿalūhu
they put him
فِى in
in
غَيَـٰبَتِ (the) bottom ghayābati
(the) bottom
ٱلْجُبِّ ۚ (of) the well l-jubi
(of) the well
وَأَوْحَيْنَآ But We inspired wa-awḥaynā
But We inspired
إِلَيْهِ to him ilayhi
to him
لَتُنَبِّئَنَّهُم Surely, you will inform them latunabbi-annahum
Surely, you will inform them
بِأَمْرِهِمْ about this affair bi-amrihim
about this affair
هَـٰذَا about this affair hādhā
about this affair
وَهُمْ while they wahum
while they
لَا (do) not
(do) not
يَشْعُرُونَ perceive yashʿurūna
perceive
١٥ (15)
(15)
Als sie ihn mitnahmen und sich geeinigt hatten, ihn in die verborgene Tiefe des Brunnenlochs zu stecken, gaben Wir ihm ein: Du wirst ihnen ganz gewiß noch diese ihre Tat kundtun, ohne daß sie merken.
12:16
وَجَآءُوٓ And they came wajāū
And they came
أَبَاهُمْ (to) their father abāhum
(to) their father
عِشَآءًۭ early at night ʿishāan
early at night
يَبْكُونَ weeping yabkūna
weeping
١٦ (16)
(16)
Und am Abend kamen sie weinend zu ihrem Vater.
12:17
قَالُوا۟ They said qālū
They said
يَـٰٓأَبَانَآ O our father yāabānā
O our father
إِنَّا Indeed, we innā
Indeed, we
ذَهَبْنَا [we] went dhahabnā
[we] went
نَسْتَبِقُ racing each other nastabiqu
racing each other
وَتَرَكْنَا and we left wataraknā
and we left
يُوسُفَ Yusuf yūsufa
Yusuf
عِندَ with ʿinda
with
مَتَـٰعِنَا our possessions matāʿinā
our possessions
فَأَكَلَهُ and ate him fa-akalahu
and ate him
ٱلذِّئْبُ ۖ the wolf l-dhi'bu
the wolf
وَمَآ But not wamā
But not
أَنتَ you anta
you
بِمُؤْمِنٍۢ (will) believe bimu'minin
(will) believe
لَّنَا us lanā
us
وَلَوْ even if walaw
even if
كُنَّا we are kunnā
we are
صَـٰدِقِينَ truthful ṣādiqīna
truthful
١٧ (17)
(17)
Sie sagten: O unser Vater, wir gingen, um einen Wettlauf zu machen, und ließen Yusuf bei unseren Sachen zurück. Da fraß ihn der Wolf. Aber du glaubst uns wohl nicht, auch wenn wir die Wahrheit sagen.
12:18
وَجَآءُو And they brought wajāū
And they brought
عَلَىٰ upon ʿalā
upon
قَمِيصِهِۦ his shirt qamīṣihi
his shirt
بِدَمٍۢ with false blood bidamin
with false blood
كَذِبٍۢ ۚ with false blood kadhibin
with false blood
قَالَ He said qāla
He said
بَلْ Nay bal
Nay
سَوَّلَتْ has enticed you sawwalat
has enticed you
لَكُمْ has enticed you lakum
has enticed you
أَنفُسُكُمْ your souls anfusukum
your souls
أَمْرًۭا ۖ (to) a matter amran
(to) a matter
فَصَبْرٌۭ so patience faṣabrun
so patience
جَمِيلٌۭ ۖ (is) beautiful jamīlun
(is) beautiful
وَٱللَّهُ And Allah wal-lahu
And Allah
ٱلْمُسْتَعَانُ (is) the One sought for help l-mus'taʿānu
(is) the One sought for help
عَلَىٰ against ʿalā
against
مَا what
what
تَصِفُونَ you describe taṣifūna
you describe
١٨ (18)
(18)
Sie brachten falsches Blut auf seinem Hemd. Er sagte: Nein! Vielmehr habt ihr selbst euch etwas eingeredet. (So gilt es,) schöne Geduld (zu üben). Allah ist Derjenige, bei Dem Hilfe zu suchen ist gegen das, was ihr beschreibt.
12:19
وَجَآءَتْ And there came wajāat
And there came
سَيَّارَةٌۭ a caravan sayyāratun
a caravan
فَأَرْسَلُوا۟ and they sent fa-arsalū
and they sent
وَارِدَهُمْ their water drawer wāridahum
their water drawer
فَأَدْلَىٰ then he let down fa-adlā
then he let down
دَلْوَهُۥ ۖ his bucket dalwahu
his bucket
قَالَ He said qāla
He said
يَـٰبُشْرَىٰ O good news yābush'rā
O good news
هَـٰذَا This hādhā
This
غُلَـٰمٌۭ ۚ (is) a boy ghulāmun
(is) a boy
وَأَسَرُّوهُ And they hid him wa-asarrūhu
And they hid him
بِضَـٰعَةًۭ ۚ (as) a merchandise biḍāʿatan
(as) a merchandise
وَٱللَّهُ And Allah wal-lahu
And Allah
عَلِيمٌۢ (is) All-Knower ʿalīmun
(is) All-Knower
بِمَا of what bimā
of what
يَعْمَلُونَ they do yaʿmalūna
they do
١٩ (19)
(19)
Reisende kamen vorbei. Sie sandten ihren Wasserschöpfer, und er ließ seinen Eimer hinunter. Er sagte: O frohe Botschaft! Da ist ein Junge. Sie verbargen ihn als Ware. Und Allah wußte wohl, was sie taten.
12:20
وَشَرَوْهُ And they sold him washarawhu
And they sold him
بِثَمَنٍۭ for a price bithamanin
for a price
بَخْسٍۢ very low bakhsin
very low
دَرَٰهِمَ dirhams darāhima
dirhams
مَعْدُودَةٍۢ few maʿdūdatin
few
وَكَانُوا۟ and they were wakānū
and they were
فِيهِ about him fīhi
about him
مِنَ of mina
of
ٱلزَّٰهِدِينَ those keen to give up l-zāhidīna
those keen to give up
٢٠ (20)
(20)
Und sie verkauften ihn für einen zu niedrigen Preis, einige gezählte Dirhams. Und sie übten Verzicht in Bezug auf ihn.
12:21
وَقَالَ And said waqāla
And said
ٱلَّذِى the one who alladhī
the one who
ٱشْتَرَىٰهُ bought him ish'tarāhu
bought him
مِن of min
of
مِّصْرَ Egypt miṣ'ra
Egypt
لِٱمْرَأَتِهِۦٓ to his wife li-im'ra-atihi
to his wife
أَكْرِمِى Make comfortable akrimī
Make comfortable
مَثْوَىٰهُ his stay mathwāhu
his stay
عَسَىٰٓ Perhaps ʿasā
Perhaps
أَن that an
that
يَنفَعَنَآ (he) will benefit us yanfaʿanā
(he) will benefit us
أَوْ or aw
or
نَتَّخِذَهُۥ we will take him nattakhidhahu
we will take him
وَلَدًۭا ۚ (as) a son waladan
(as) a son
وَكَذَٰلِكَ And thus wakadhālika
And thus
مَكَّنَّا We established makkannā
We established
لِيُوسُفَ Yusuf liyūsufa
Yusuf
فِى in
in
ٱلْأَرْضِ the land l-arḍi
the land
وَلِنُعَلِّمَهُۥ that We might teach him walinuʿallimahu
that We might teach him
مِن (the) interpretation of min
(the) interpretation of
تَأْوِيلِ (the) interpretation of tawīli
(the) interpretation of
ٱلْأَحَادِيثِ ۚ the events l-aḥādīthi
the events
وَٱللَّهُ And Allah wal-lahu
And Allah
غَالِبٌ (is) Predominant ghālibun
(is) Predominant
عَلَىٰٓ over ʿalā
over
أَمْرِهِۦ His affairs amrihi
His affairs
وَلَـٰكِنَّ but walākinna
but
أَكْثَرَ most akthara
most
ٱلنَّاسِ (of) the people l-nāsi
(of) the people
لَا (do) not
(do) not
يَعْلَمُونَ know yaʿlamūna
know
٢١ (21)
(21)
Und derjenige aus Ägypten, der ihn gekauft hatte, sagte zu seiner Frau: Bereite ihm einen gastfreundlichen Aufenthalt. Vielleicht wird er uns nützlich sein, oder nehmen wir ihn als Kind an. So verliehen Wir Yusuf eine feste Stellung im Land. Und Wir wollten ihn etwas von der Deutung der Geschichten lehren. Und Allah ist in Seiner Angelegenheit überlegen. Aber die meisten Menschen wissen nicht.
12:22
وَلَمَّا And when walammā
And when
بَلَغَ he reached balagha
he reached
أَشُدَّهُۥٓ his maturity ashuddahu
his maturity
ءَاتَيْنَـٰهُ We gave him ātaynāhu
We gave him
حُكْمًۭا wisdom ḥuk'man
wisdom
وَعِلْمًۭا ۚ and knowledge waʿil'man
and knowledge
وَكَذَٰلِكَ And thus wakadhālika
And thus
نَجْزِى We reward najzī
We reward
ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ the good-doers l-muḥ'sinīna
the good-doers
٢٢ (22)
(22)
Als er seine Vollreife erlangt hatte, gaben Wir ihm Urteil(skraft) und Wissen. So vergelten Wir den Gutes Tuenden.
12:23
وَرَٰوَدَتْهُ And sought to seduce him warāwadathu
And sought to seduce him
ٱلَّتِى she who allatī
she who
هُوَ he (was) huwa
he (was)
فِى in
in
بَيْتِهَا her house baytihā
her house
عَن from ʿan
from
نَّفْسِهِۦ his self nafsihi
his self
وَغَلَّقَتِ And she closed waghallaqati
And she closed
ٱلْأَبْوَٰبَ the doors l-abwāba
the doors
وَقَالَتْ and she said waqālat
and she said
هَيْتَ Come on hayta
Come on
لَكَ ۚ you laka
you
قَالَ He said qāla
He said
مَعَاذَ I seek refuge in Allah maʿādha
I seek refuge in Allah
ٱللَّهِ ۖ I seek refuge in Allah l-lahi
I seek refuge in Allah
إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, he innahu
Indeed, he
رَبِّىٓ (is) my lord rabbī
(is) my lord
أَحْسَنَ (who has) made good aḥsana
(who has) made good
مَثْوَاىَ ۖ my stay mathwāya
my stay
إِنَّهُۥ Indeed innahu
Indeed
لَا not
not
يُفْلِحُ will succeed yuf'liḥu
will succeed
ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ the wrongdoers l-ẓālimūna
the wrongdoers
٢٣ (23)
(23)
Und diejenige, in deren Haus er war, versuchte, ihn zu verführen. Sie schloß die Türen ab und sagte: Da bin ich für dich! Er sagte: Allah schütze mich (davor)! Er, mein Herr, hat mir einen schönen Aufenthalt bereitet. Gewiß, den Ungerechten wird es nicht wohl ergehen.
12:24
وَلَقَدْ And certainly walaqad
And certainly
هَمَّتْ she did desire hammat
she did desire
بِهِۦ ۖ him bihi

رَبِّهِۦ ۚ (of) his Lord rabbihi

كَذَٰلِكَ Thus kadhālika
Thus
لِنَصْرِفَ that We might avert linaṣrifa
that We might avert
عَنْهُ from him ʿanhu
from him
ٱلسُّوٓءَ the evil l-sūa
the evil
وَٱلْفَحْشَآءَ ۚ and the immorality wal-faḥshāa
and the immorality
إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, he innahu
Indeed, he
مِنْ (was) of min
(was) of
عِبَادِنَا Our slaves ʿibādinā
Our slaves
ٱلْمُخْلَصِينَ the sincere l-mukh'laṣīna
the sincere
٢٤ (24)
(24)
Es verlangte sie nach ihm, und es hätte ihn nach ihr verlangt, wenn er nicht den Beweis seines Herrn gesehen hätte. Dies (geschah), damit Wir das Böse und das Schändliche von ihm abwendeten. Er gehört ja zu Unseren auserlesenen Dienern.
12:25
وَٱسْتَبَقَا And they both raced wa-is'tabaqā
And they both raced
ٱلْبَابَ (to) the door l-bāba
(to) the door
وَقَدَّتْ and she tore waqaddat
and she tore
قَمِيصَهُۥ his shirt qamīṣahu
his shirt
مِن from min
from
دُبُرٍۢ the back duburin
the back
وَأَلْفَيَا and they both found wa-alfayā
and they both found
سَيِّدَهَا her husband sayyidahā
her husband
لَدَا at ladā
at
ٱلْبَابِ ۚ the door l-bābi
the door
قَالَتْ She said qālat
She said
مَا What
What
جَزَآءُ (is) the recompense jazāu
(is) the recompense
مَنْ (of one) who man
(of one) who
أَرَادَ intended arāda
intended
بِأَهْلِكَ for your wife bi-ahlika
for your wife
سُوٓءًا evil sūan
evil
إِلَّآ except illā
except
أَن that an
that
يُسْجَنَ he be imprisoned yus'jana
he be imprisoned
أَوْ or aw
or
عَذَابٌ a punishment ʿadhābun
a punishment
أَلِيمٌۭ painful alīmun
painful
٢٥ (25)
(25)
Sie versuchten beide als erster zur Tür zu gelangen. Sie zerriß ihm von hinten das Hemd. Und sie fanden ihren Herrn bei der Tür vor. Sie sagte: Der Lohn dessen, der deiner Familie Böses (antun) wollte, ist nur, daß er ins Gefängnis gesteckt wird, oder schmerzhafte Strafe.
12:26
قَالَ He said qāla

هِىَ She hiya

رَٰوَدَتْنِى sought to seduce me rāwadatnī

وَشَهِدَ And testified washahida

أَهْلِهَآ her family ahlihā

كَانَ [is] kāna
[is]
قَمِيصُهُۥ his shirt qamīṣuhu
his shirt
قُدَّ (is) torn qudda
(is) torn
مِن from min

قُبُلٍۢ the front qubulin
the front
فَصَدَقَتْ then she has spoken the truth faṣadaqat
then she has spoken the truth
وَهُوَ and he wahuwa
and he
مِنَ (is) of mina
(is) of
ٱلْكَـٰذِبِينَ the liars l-kādhibīna
the liars
٢٦ (26)
(26)
Er sagte: Sie war es, die versucht hat, mich zu verführen. Und ein Zeuge aus ihrer Familie bezeugte: Wenn sein Hemd vorn zerrissen ist, dann hat sie die Wahrheit gesprochen, und er gehört zu den Lügnern.
12:27
وَإِن But if wa-in

Wenn sein Hemd aber hinten zerrissen ist, dann hat sie gelogen, und er gehört zu den Wahrhaftigen.
12:28

(28)
Als er nun sah, daß sein Hemd hinten zerrissen war, sagte er: Das gehört zu euren Listen. Eure List ist gewaltig.
12:29
يُوسُفُ Yusuf yūsufu
Yusuf
أَعْرِضْ turn away aʿriḍ

عَنْ from ʿan

هَـٰذَا ۚ this hādhā

وَٱسْتَغْفِرِى And ask forgiveness wa-is'taghfirī
And ask forgiveness
لِذَنۢبِكِ ۖ for your sin lidhanbiki

إِنَّكِ Indeed, you innaki
Indeed, you
كُنتِ are kunti
are
مِنَ of mina
of
ٱلْخَاطِـِٔينَ the sinful l-khāṭiīna
the sinful
٢٩ (29)
(29)
Yusuf, lasse davon ab! Und (du, jene,) bitte um Vergebung für deine Sünde! Du gehörst ja zu denjenigen, die Verfehlungen begangen haben.
12:30
۞ وَقَالَ And said waqāla
And said
نِسْوَةٌۭ women nis'watun
women
فِى in
in
ٱلْمَدِينَةِ the city l-madīnati
the city
ٱمْرَأَتُ The wife of im'ra-atu
The wife of
ٱلْعَزِيزِ Aziz l-ʿazīzi
Aziz
تُرَٰوِدُ (is) seeking to seduce turāwidu
(is) seeking to seduce
فَتَىٰهَا her slave boy fatāhā
her slave boy
عَن about ʿan
about
نَّفْسِهِۦ ۖ himself nafsihi
himself
قَدْ indeed qad
indeed
شَغَفَهَا he has impassioned her shaghafahā
he has impassioned her
حُبًّا ۖ (with) love ḥubban
(with) love
إِنَّا Indeed, we innā
Indeed, we
لَنَرَىٰهَا [we] surely see her lanarāhā
[we] surely see her
فِى in
in
ضَلَـٰلٍۢ an error ḍalālin
an error
مُّبِينٍۢ clear mubīnin
clear
٣٠ (30)
(30)
(Einige) Frauen in der Stadt sagten: Die Frau des hohen Herrn versucht, ihren Burschen zu verführen. Er hat sie in leidenschaftliche Liebe versetzt. Wir sehen wahrlich, sie befindet sich in deutlichem Irrtum.
12:31
فَلَمَّا So when falammā

سَمِعَتْ she heard samiʿat
she heard
بِمَكْرِهِنَّ of their scheming bimakrihinna
of their scheming
أَرْسَلَتْ she sent arsalat
she sent
إِلَيْهِنَّ for them ilayhinna
for them
وَأَعْتَدَتْ and she prepared wa-aʿtadat
and she prepared
لَهُنَّ for them lahunna
for them
مُتَّكَـًۭٔا a banquet muttaka-an
a banquet
وَءَاتَتْ and she gave waātat
and she gave
كُلَّ each kulla
each
وَٰحِدَةٍۢ one wāḥidatin
one
مِّنْهُنَّ of them min'hunna
of them
سِكِّينًۭا a knife sikkīnan
a knife
وَقَالَتِ and she said waqālati
and she said
ٱخْرُجْ Come out ukh'ruj
Come out
عَلَيْهِنَّ ۖ before them ʿalayhinna
before them
فَلَمَّا Then when falammā
Then when
رَأَيْنَهُۥٓ they saw him ra-aynahu
they saw him
أَكْبَرْنَهُۥ they greatly admired him akbarnahu
they greatly admired him
وَقَطَّعْنَ and cut waqaṭṭaʿna
and cut
أَيْدِيَهُنَّ their hands aydiyahunna
their hands
وَقُلْنَ they said waqul'na
they said
حَـٰشَ Forbid ḥāsha
Forbid
لِلَّهِ Allah lillahi
Allah
مَا not
not
هَـٰذَا (is) this hādhā
(is) this
بَشَرًا a man basharan
a man
إِنْ not in
not
هَـٰذَآ (is) this hādhā
(is) this
إِلَّا but illā
but
مَلَكٌۭ an angel malakun
an angel
كَرِيمٌۭ noble karīmun
noble
٣١ (31)
(31)
Als sie nun von ihren Ränken hörte, sandte sie zu ihnen und bereitete ihnen ein Gastmahl. Sie gab einer jeden von ihnen ein Messer und sagte (zu Yusuf): Komm zu ihnen heraus. Als sie ihn sahen, fanden sie ihn groß(artig), und sie zerschnitten sich ihre Hände und sagten: Allah behüte! Das ist kein Mensch, das ist nur ein ehrenvoller Engel.
12:32
قَالَتْ She said qālat
She said
فَذَٰلِكُنَّ That fadhālikunna
That
ٱلَّذِى (is) the one alladhī
(is) the one
لُمْتُنَّنِى you blamed me lum'tunnanī
you blamed me
فِيهِ ۖ about him fīhi
about him
وَلَقَدْ And certainly walaqad
And certainly
رَٰوَدتُّهُۥ I sought to seduce him rāwadttuhu
I sought to seduce him
عَن [from] ʿan
[from]
نَّفْسِهِۦ [himself] nafsihi
[himself]
فَٱسْتَعْصَمَ ۖ but he saved himself fa-is'taʿṣama
but he saved himself
وَلَئِن and if wala-in
and if
لَّمْ not lam
not
يَفْعَلْ he does yafʿal
he does
مَآ what
what
ءَامُرُهُۥ I order him āmuruhu
I order him
لَيُسْجَنَنَّ surely, he will be imprisoned layus'jananna
surely, he will be imprisoned
وَلَيَكُونًۭا and certainly will be walayakūnan
and certainly will be
مِّنَ of mina
of
ٱلصَّـٰغِرِينَ those who are disgraced l-ṣāghirīna
those who are disgraced
٣٢ (32)
(32)
Sie sagte: Seht, das ist der, dessentwegen ihr mich getadelt habt. Ich habe allerdings versucht, ihn zu verführen, doch er widerstand. Und wenn er nicht tut, was ich ihm befehle, wird er ganz gewiß ins Gefängnis gesteckt werden, und er wird gewiß zu den Geringgeachteten gehören.
12:33
قَالَ He said qāla

رَبِّ My Lord rabbi

ٱلسِّجْنُ the prison l-sij'nu

أَحَبُّ (is) dearer aḥabbu
(is) dearer
إِلَىَّ to me ilayya
to me
مِمَّا than what mimmā

يَدْعُونَنِىٓ they invite me yadʿūnanī
they invite me
إِلَيْهِ ۖ to it ilayhi
to it
وَإِلَّا And unless wa-illā
And unless
تَصْرِفْ You turn away taṣrif
You turn away
عَنِّى from me ʿannī
from me
كَيْدَهُنَّ their plot kaydahunna
their plot
أَصْبُ I might incline aṣbu
I might incline
إِلَيْهِنَّ towards them ilayhinna
towards them
وَأَكُن and [I] be wa-akun
and [I] be
مِّنَ of mina
of
ٱلْجَـٰهِلِينَ the ignorant l-jāhilīna
the ignorant
٣٣ (33)
(33)
Er sagte: Mein Herr, das Gefängnis ist mir lieber als das, wozu sie mich auffordern. Und wenn Du ihre List von mir nicht abwendest, werde ich mich zu ihnen hingezogen fühlen und zu den Toren gehören.
12:34
فَٱسْتَجَابَ So responded fa-is'tajāba
So responded
لَهُۥ to him lahu

رَبُّهُۥ his Lord rabbuhu
his Lord
فَصَرَفَ and turned away faṣarafa
and turned away
عَنْهُ from him ʿanhu
from him
كَيْدَهُنَّ ۚ their plot kaydahunna
their plot
إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, [He] innahu
Indeed, [He]
هُوَ He huwa
He
ٱلسَّمِيعُ (is) All-Hearer l-samīʿu
(is) All-Hearer
ٱلْعَلِيمُ All-Knower l-ʿalīmu
All-Knower
٣٤ (34)
(34)
Da erhörte ihn sein Herr und wendete ihre List von ihm ab. Er ist ja der Allhörende und Allwissende.
12:35
ثُمَّ Then thumma
Then
بَدَا (it) appeared badā
(it) appeared
لَهُم to them lahum
to them
مِّنۢ after min
after
بَعْدِ after baʿdi
after
مَا [what]
[what]
رَأَوُا۟ they had seen ra-awū
they had seen
ٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِ the signs l-āyāti
the signs
لَيَسْجُنُنَّهُۥ surely they should imprison him layasjununnahu
surely they should imprison him
حَتَّىٰ until ḥattā
until
حِينٍۢ a time ḥīnin
a time
٣٥ (35)
(35)
Hierauf schien es ihnen angebracht, nachdem sie die Zeichen (seiner Unschuld) gesehen hatten, ihn für eine gewisse Zeit ins Gefängnis zu stecken.
12:36
وَدَخَلَ And entered wadakhala

مَعَهُ with him maʿahu

ٱلسِّجْنَ (in) the prison l-sij'na

فَتَيَانِ ۖ two young men fatayāni

قَالَ Said qāla

أَحَدُهُمَآ one of them aḥaduhumā

إِنِّىٓ Indeed, I innī
Indeed, I
أَرَىٰنِىٓ [I] see myself arānī
[I] see myself
أَعْصِرُ pressing aʿṣiru
pressing
خَمْرًۭا ۖ wine khamran
wine
وَقَالَ And said waqāla
And said
ٱلْـَٔاخَرُ the other l-ākharu
the other
إِنِّىٓ Indeed, I innī
Indeed, I
أَرَىٰنِىٓ [I] see myself arānī
[I] see myself
أَحْمِلُ [I am] carrying aḥmilu
[I am] carrying
فَوْقَ over fawqa
over
رَأْسِى my head rasī
my head
خُبْزًۭا bread khub'zan
bread
تَأْكُلُ (were) eating takulu
(were) eating
ٱلطَّيْرُ the birds l-ṭayru
the birds
مِنْهُ ۖ from it min'hu
from it
نَبِّئْنَا Inform us nabbi'nā
Inform us
بِتَأْوِيلِهِۦٓ ۖ of its interpretation bitawīlihi
of its interpretation
إِنَّا indeed, we innā
indeed, we
نَرَىٰكَ [we] see you narāka
[we] see you
مِنَ of mina
of
ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ the good-doers l-muḥ'sinīna
the good-doers
٣٦ (36)
(36)
Mit ihm kamen zwei Burschen ins Gefängnis. Der eine von ihnen sagte: Ich sah mich Wein auspressen. Der andere sagte: Ich sah mich auf dem Kopf Brot tragen, von dem die Vögel fraßen. Tue uns die Deutung hiervon kund. Wir sehen, daß du zu den Gutes Tuenden gehörst.
12:37
قَالَ He said qāla
He said
لَا Not
Not
يَأْتِيكُمَا (will) come to both of you yatīkumā
(will) come to both of you
طَعَامٌۭ food ṭaʿāmun
food
تُرْزَقَانِهِۦٓ you are provided with tur'zaqānihi
you are provided with
إِلَّا but illā
but
نَبَّأْتُكُمَا I will inform both of you nabbatukumā
I will inform both of you
بِتَأْوِيلِهِۦ of its interpretation bitawīlihi
of its interpretation
قَبْلَ before qabla
before
أَن [that] an
[that]
يَأْتِيَكُمَا ۚ [it] comes to both of you yatiyakumā
[it] comes to both of you
ذَٰلِكُمَا That dhālikumā
That
مِمَّا (is) of what mimmā
(is) of what
عَلَّمَنِى has taught me ʿallamanī
has taught me
رَبِّىٓ ۚ my Lord rabbī
my Lord
إِنِّى Indeed, I innī
Indeed, I
تَرَكْتُ [I] abandon taraktu
[I] abandon
مِلَّةَ (the) religion millata
(the) religion
قَوْمٍۢ (of) a people qawmin
(of) a people
لَّا not
not
يُؤْمِنُونَ they believe yu'minūna
they believe
بِٱللَّهِ in Allah bil-lahi
in Allah
وَهُم and they wahum
and they
بِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ in the Hereafter bil-ākhirati
in the Hereafter
هُمْ [they] hum
[they]
كَـٰفِرُونَ (are) disbelievers kāfirūna
(are) disbelievers
٣٧ (37)
(37)
Er sagte: Es wird euch kein Essen gebracht, mit dem ihr versorgt werdet, ohne daß ich euch die Deutung davon kundgetan habe, bevor es euch gebracht wird. Seht, das ist etwas von dem, was mich mein Herr gelehrt hat. Verlassen habe ich das Glaubensbekenntnis von Leuten, die nicht an Allah glauben, und (verlassen habe, ich) sie, die sie das Jenseits verleugnen,
12:38
وَٱتَّبَعْتُ And I follow wa-ittabaʿtu
And I follow
مِلَّةَ (the) religion millata
(the) religion
ءَابَآءِىٓ (of) my forefathers ābāī
(of) my forefathers
إِبْرَٰهِيمَ Ibrahim ib'rāhīma
Ibrahim
وَإِسْحَـٰقَ and Isaac wa-is'ḥāqa
and Isaac
وَيَعْقُوبَ ۚ and Yaqub wayaʿqūba
and Yaqub
مَا Not
Not
كَانَ was kāna
was
لَنَآ for us lanā
for us
أَن that an
that
نُّشْرِكَ we associate nush'rika
we associate
بِٱللَّهِ with Allah bil-lahi
with Allah
مِن any min
any
شَىْءٍۢ ۚ thing shayin
thing
ذَٰلِكَ That dhālika
That
مِن (is) from min
(is) from
فَضْلِ (the) Grace faḍli
(the) Grace
ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah l-lahi
(of) Allah
عَلَيْنَا upon us ʿalaynā
upon us
وَعَلَى and upon waʿalā
and upon
ٱلنَّاسِ the mankind l-nāsi
the mankind
وَلَـٰكِنَّ but walākinna
but
أَكْثَرَ most akthara
most
ٱلنَّاسِ (of) the men l-nāsi
(of) the men
لَا (are) not
(are) not
يَشْكُرُونَ grateful yashkurūna
grateful
٣٨ (38)
(38)
und ich bin dem Glaubensbekenntnis meiner Väter Ibrahim, Ishaq und Ya’qub gefolgt. Es steht uns nicht zu, Allah etwas beizugesellen. Das ist etwas von Allahs Huld gegen uns und gegen die Menschen. Aber die meisten Menschen sind nicht dankbar.
12:39
يَـٰصَـٰحِبَىِ O my two companions yāṣāḥibayi
O my two companions
ٱلسِّجْنِ (of) the prison l-sij'ni
(of) the prison
ءَأَرْبَابٌۭ Are lords a-arbābun
Are lords
مُّتَفَرِّقُونَ separate mutafarriqūna
separate
خَيْرٌ better khayrun
better
أَمِ or ami
or
ٱللَّهُ Allah l-lahu
Allah
ٱلْوَٰحِدُ the One l-wāḥidu
the One
ٱلْقَهَّارُ the Irresistible l-qahāru
the Irresistible
٣٩ (39)
(39)
O meine beiden Gefängnisgefährten! Sind verschiedene Herren besser oder Allah, der Eine, der Allbezwinger?
12:40
مَا Not

تَعْبُدُونَ you worship taʿbudūna
you worship
مِن besides Him min
besides Him
دُونِهِۦٓ besides Him dūnihi
besides Him
إِلَّآ but illā
but
أَسْمَآءًۭ names asmāan
names
سَمَّيْتُمُوهَآ which you have named them sammaytumūhā
which you have named them
أَنتُمْ you antum
you
وَءَابَآؤُكُم and your forefathers waābāukum
and your forefathers
مَّآ not
not
أَنزَلَ (has) sent down anzala
(has) sent down
ٱللَّهُ Allah l-lahu
Allah
بِهَا for it bihā
for it
مِن any min
any
سُلْطَـٰنٍ ۚ authority sul'ṭānin
authority
إِنِ Not ini
Not
ٱلْحُكْمُ (is) the command l-ḥuk'mu
(is) the command
إِلَّا but illā
but
لِلَّهِ ۚ for Allah lillahi
for Allah
أَمَرَ He has commanded amara
He has commanded
أَلَّا that not allā
that not
تَعْبُدُوٓا۟ you worship taʿbudū
you worship
إِلَّآ but illā
but
إِيَّاهُ ۚ Him Alone iyyāhu
Him Alone
ذَٰلِكَ That dhālika
That
ٱلدِّينُ (is) the religion l-dīnu
(is) the religion
ٱلْقَيِّمُ the right l-qayimu
the right
وَلَـٰكِنَّ but walākinna
but
أَكْثَرَ most akthara
most
ٱلنَّاسِ [the] men l-nāsi
[the] men
لَا (do) not
(do) not
يَعْلَمُونَ know yaʿlamūna
know
٤٠ (40)
(40)
Ihr dient außer Ihm nur Namen, die ihr genannt habt, ihr und eure Väter, für die Allah (jedoch) keine Ermächtigung herabgesandt hat. Das Urteil ist allein Allahs. Er hat befohlen, daß ihr nur Ihm dienen sollt. Das ist die richtige Religion. Aber die meisten Menschen wissen nicht.
12:41
يَـٰصَـٰحِبَىِ O my two companions yāṣāḥibayi
O my two companions
ٱلسِّجْنِ (of) the prison l-sij'ni
(of) the prison
أَمَّآ As for ammā
As for
أَحَدُكُمَا one of you aḥadukumā
one of you
فَيَسْقِى he will give drink fayasqī
he will give drink
رَبَّهُۥ (to) his master rabbahu
(to) his master
خَمْرًۭا ۖ wine khamran
wine
وَأَمَّا and as for wa-ammā
and as for
ٱلْـَٔاخَرُ the other l-ākharu
the other
فَيُصْلَبُ he will be crucified fayuṣ'labu
he will be crucified
فَتَأْكُلُ and will eat fatakulu
and will eat
ٱلطَّيْرُ the birds l-ṭayru
the birds
مِن from min
from
رَّأْسِهِۦ ۚ his head rasihi
his head
قُضِىَ Has been decreed quḍiya
Has been decreed
ٱلْأَمْرُ the matter l-amru
the matter
ٱلَّذِى about which alladhī
about which
فِيهِ about which fīhi
about which
تَسْتَفْتِيَانِ you both inquire tastaftiyāni
you both inquire
٤١ (41)
(41)
O meine beiden Gefangnisgefährten! Was den einen von euch angeht, so wird er seinem Herrn Wein zu trinken geben. Was aber den anderen angeht, so wird er gekreuzigt, und die Vögel werden von seinem Kopf fressen. Entschieden ist die Angelegenheit, über die ihr um Auskunft fragt.
12:42
وَقَالَ And he said waqāla
And he said
لِلَّذِى to the one whom lilladhī
to the one whom
ظَنَّ he thought ẓanna
he thought
أَنَّهُۥ that he annahu
that he
نَاجٍۢ (would be) saved nājin
(would be) saved
مِّنْهُمَا of both of them min'humā
of both of them
ٱذْكُرْنِى Mention me udh'kur'nī
Mention me
عِندَ to ʿinda
to
رَبِّكَ your master rabbika
your master
فَأَنسَىٰهُ But made him forget fa-ansāhu
But made him forget
ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ the Shaitaan l-shayṭānu
the Shaitaan
ذِكْرَ (the) mention dhik'ra
(the) mention
رَبِّهِۦ (to) his master rabbihi
(to) his master
فَلَبِثَ so he remained falabitha
so he remained
فِى in
in
ٱلسِّجْنِ the prison l-sij'ni
the prison
بِضْعَ several biḍ'ʿa
several
سِنِينَ years sinīna
years
٤٢ (42)
(42)
Und er sagte zu dem von beiden, von dem er glaubte, daß er entkommen werde: Erwähne mich bei deinem Herrn. Aber der Satan ließ ihn vergessen, ihn bei seinem Herrn zu erwähnen, (und) so blieb er noch einige Jahre im Gefängnis.
12:43
وَقَالَ And said waqāla
And said
ٱلْمَلِكُ the king l-maliku
the king
إِنِّىٓ Indeed, I innī
Indeed, I
أَرَىٰ [I] have seen arā
[I] have seen
سَبْعَ seven sabʿa
seven
بَقَرَٰتٍۢ cows baqarātin
cows
سِمَانٍۢ fat simānin
fat
يَأْكُلُهُنَّ eating them yakuluhunna
eating them
سَبْعٌ seven sabʿun
seven
عِجَافٌۭ lean ones ʿijāfun
lean ones
وَسَبْعَ and seven wasabʿa
and seven
سُنۢبُلَـٰتٍ ears (of corn) sunbulātin
ears (of corn)
خُضْرٍۢ green khuḍ'rin
green
وَأُخَرَ and others wa-ukhara
and others
يَابِسَـٰتٍۢ ۖ dry yābisātin
dry
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا O yāayyuhā
O
ٱلْمَلَأُ chiefs l-mala-u
chiefs
أَفْتُونِى Explain to me aftūnī
Explain to me
فِى about
about
رُءْيَـٰىَ my vision ru'yāya
my vision
إِن if in
if
كُنتُمْ you can kuntum
you can
لِلرُّءْيَا of visions lilrru'yā
of visions
تَعْبُرُونَ interpret taʿburūna
interpret
٤٣ (43)
(43)
Und der König sagte: Ich sah sieben fette Kühe, die von sieben mageren gefressen wurden, und sieben grüne Ähren und (sieben) andere dürre. O ihr führende Schar, gebt mir Auskunft über mein (Traum)gesicht, wenn ihr ein (Traum)gesicht auslegen könnt.
12:44
قَالُوٓا۟ They said qālū
They said
أَضْغَـٰثُ Confused aḍghāthu
Confused
أَحْلَـٰمٍۢ ۖ dreams aḥlāmin
dreams
وَمَا and not wamā
and not
نَحْنُ we naḥnu
we
بِتَأْوِيلِ (are) in the interpretation bitawīli
(are) in the interpretation
ٱلْأَحْلَـٰمِ (of) the dreams l-aḥlāmi
(of) the dreams
بِعَـٰلِمِينَ learned biʿālimīna
learned
٤٤ (44)
(44)
Sie sagten: (Das ist) ein Bündel von wirren Träumen. Wir wissen über die Deutung der Träume nicht Bescheid.
12:45
وَقَالَ But said waqāla
But said
ٱلَّذِى the one who alladhī
the one who
نَجَا was saved najā
was saved
مِنْهُمَا of the two min'humā
of the two
وَٱدَّكَرَ and remembered wa-iddakara
and remembered
بَعْدَ after baʿda
after
أُمَّةٍ a period ummatin
a period
أَنَا۠ I anā
I
أُنَبِّئُكُم [I] will inform you unabbi-ukum
[I] will inform you
بِتَأْوِيلِهِۦ of its interpretation bitawīlihi
of its interpretation
فَأَرْسِلُونِ so send me forth fa-arsilūni
so send me forth
٤٥ (45)
(45)
Derjenige von beiden, der entkommen war und sich nach einiger Zeit erinnerte, sagte: Ich werde euch seine Deutung kundtun. Darum entsendet mich.
12:46
يُوسُفُ Yusuf yūsufu

لَّعَلِّىٓ that I may laʿallī

أَرْجِعُ return arjiʿu

إِلَى to ilā

ٱلنَّاسِ the people l-nāsi
the people
لَعَلَّهُمْ so that they may laʿallahum
so that they may
يَعْلَمُونَ know yaʿlamūna
know
٤٦ (46)
(46)
Yusuf, du Wahrhaftiger, gib uns Auskunft über sieben fette Kühe, die von sieben mageren gefressen werden, und über sieben grüne Ähren und (sieben) andere dürre, auf daß ich zu den Leuten zurückkehre, auf daß sie wissen mögen.
12:47
قَالَ He said qāla

تَزْرَعُونَ You will sow tazraʿūna

سَبْعَ (for) seven sabʿa

سِنِينَ years sinīna

دَأَبًۭا as usual da-aban
as usual
فَمَا and that which famā

حَصَدتُّمْ you reap ḥaṣadttum
you reap
فَذَرُوهُ so leave it fadharūhu
so leave it
فِى in
in
سُنۢبُلِهِۦٓ its ears sunbulihi
its ears
إِلَّا except illā
except
قَلِيلًۭا a little qalīlan
a little
مِّمَّا from which mimmā
from which
تَأْكُلُونَ you (will) eat takulūna
you (will) eat
٤٧ (47)
(47)
Er sagte: Ihr werdet unablässig sieben Jahre wie gewohnt säen. Was ihr erntet, das laßt in seinen Ähren, bis auf ein weniges, wovon ihr eßt.
12:48
ثُمَّ Then thumma
Then
يَأْتِى will come yatī
will come
مِنۢ after min
after
بَعْدِ after baʿdi
after
ذَٰلِكَ that dhālika
that
سَبْعٌۭ seven sabʿun

شِدَادٌۭ hard (years) shidādun
hard (years)
يَأْكُلْنَ (which will) consume yakul'na
(which will) consume
مَا what
what
قَدَّمْتُمْ you advanced qaddamtum
you advanced
لَهُنَّ for them lahunna
for them
إِلَّا except illā
except
قَلِيلًۭا a little qalīlan
a little
مِّمَّا of what mimmā
of what
تُحْصِنُونَ you (will) store tuḥ'ṣinūna
you (will) store
٤٨ (48)
(48)
Hierauf werden nach alledem sieben harte (Jahre) kommen, die das aufzehren werden, was ihr für sie vorbereitet habt, bis auf ein weniges von dem, was ihr aufbewahrt.
12:49
ثُمَّ Then thumma

يَأْتِى will come yatī
will come
مِنۢ after min
after
بَعْدِ after baʿdi
after
ذَٰلِكَ that dhālika
that
عَامٌۭ a year ʿāmun
a year
فِيهِ in it fīhi
in it
يُغَاثُ will be given abundant rain yughāthu
will be given abundant rain
ٱلنَّاسُ the people l-nāsu
the people
وَفِيهِ and in it wafīhi
and in it
يَعْصِرُونَ they will press yaʿṣirūna
they will press
٤٩ (49)
(49)
Hierauf wird nach alledem ein Jahr kommen, in dem die Menschen Regen haben und in dem sie (Früchte) auspressen werden.
12:50
وَقَالَ And said waqāla
And said
ٱلْمَلِكُ the king l-maliku
the king
ٱئْتُونِى Bring him to me i'tūnī
Bring him to me
بِهِۦ ۖ Bring him to me bihi
Bring him to me
فَلَمَّا But when falammā
But when
جَآءَهُ came to him jāahu
came to him
ٱلرَّسُولُ the messenger l-rasūlu
the messenger
قَالَ he said qāla
he said
ٱرْجِعْ Return ir'jiʿ
Return
إِلَىٰ to ilā
to
رَبِّكَ your lord rabbika
your lord
فَسْـَٔلْهُ and ask him fasalhu
and ask him
مَا what
what
بَالُ (is the) case bālu
(is the) case
ٱلنِّسْوَةِ (of) the women l-nis'wati
(of) the women
ٱلَّـٰتِى who allātī
who
قَطَّعْنَ cut qaṭṭaʿna
cut
أَيْدِيَهُنَّ ۚ their hands aydiyahunna
their hands
إِنَّ Indeed inna
Indeed
رَبِّى my Lord rabbī
my Lord
بِكَيْدِهِنَّ of their plot bikaydihinna
of their plot
عَلِيمٌۭ (is) All-Knower ʿalīmun
(is) All-Knower
٥٠ (50)
(50)
Der König sagte: Bringt ihn zu mir. Als der Bote zu ihm kam, sagte er: Kehr zu deinem Herrn zurück und frag ihn, wie es mit den Frauen steht, die sich ihre Hände zerschnitten. Mein Herr weiß doch über ihre List Bescheid.
12:51
قَالَ He said qāla

خَطْبُكُنَّ (was) your affair khaṭbukunna

إِذْ when idh

رَٰوَدتُّنَّ you sought to seduce rāwadttunna
you sought to seduce
يُوسُفَ Yusuf yūsufa

نَّفْسِهِۦ ۚ himself nafsihi

قُلْنَ They said qul'na
They said
حَـٰشَ Allah forbid ḥāsha
Allah forbid
لِلَّهِ Allah forbid lillahi
Allah forbid
مَا Not
Not
عَلِمْنَا we know ʿalim'nā
we know
عَلَيْهِ about him ʿalayhi
about him
مِن any min
any
سُوٓءٍۢ ۚ evil sūin
evil
قَالَتِ Said qālati
Said
ٱمْرَأَتُ (the) wife im'ra-atu
(the) wife
ٱلْعَزِيزِ (of) Aziz l-ʿazīzi
(of) Aziz
ٱلْـَٔـٰنَ Now l-āna
Now
حَصْحَصَ (is) manifest ḥaṣḥaṣa
(is) manifest
ٱلْحَقُّ the truth l-ḥaqu
the truth
أَنَا۠ I anā
I
رَٰوَدتُّهُۥ sought to seduce him rāwadttuhu
sought to seduce him
عَن from ʿan
from
نَّفْسِهِۦ himself nafsihi
himself
وَإِنَّهُۥ and indeed, he wa-innahu
and indeed, he
لَمِنَ (is) surely of lamina
(is) surely of
ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ the truthful l-ṣādiqīna
the truthful
٥١ (51)
(51)
Er sagte: Was war da mit euch, als ihr versuchtet, Yusuf zu verführen? Sie sagten: Allah behüte! Wir wissen nichts Böses gegen ihn (anzugeben). Die Frau des hohen Herrn sagte: Jetzt ist die Wahrheil ans Licht gekommen. Ich habe versucht, ihn zu verführen. Und er gehört fürwahr zu den Wahrhaftigen.
12:52
ذَٰلِكَ That dhālika
That
لِيَعْلَمَ he may know liyaʿlama
he may know
أَنِّى that I annī
that I
لَمْ not lam
not
أَخُنْهُ [I] betray him akhun'hu
[I] betray him
بِٱلْغَيْبِ in secret bil-ghaybi
in secret
وَأَنَّ and that wa-anna
and that
ٱللَّهَ Allah l-laha
Allah
لَا (does) not
(does) not
يَهْدِى guide yahdī
guide
كَيْدَ (the) plan kayda
(the) plan
ٱلْخَآئِنِينَ (of) the betrayers l-khāinīna
(of) the betrayers
٥٢ (52)
(52)
Dies ist, damit er weiß, daß ich ihn nicht in seiner Abwesenheit verraten habe und daß Allah die List der Verräter nicht gelingen läßt.
12:53
۞ وَمَآ And not wamā
And not
أُبَرِّئُ I absolve ubarri-u
I absolve
نَفْسِىٓ ۚ myself nafsī
myself
إِنَّ Indeed inna
Indeed
ٱلنَّفْسَ the soul l-nafsa
the soul
لَأَمَّارَةٌۢ (is) a certain enjoiner la-ammāratun
(is) a certain enjoiner
بِٱلسُّوٓءِ of evil bil-sūi
of evil
إِلَّا unless illā
unless
مَا [that]
[that]
رَحِمَ bestows Mercy raḥima
bestows Mercy
رَبِّىٓ ۚ my Lord rabbī
my Lord
إِنَّ Indeed inna
Indeed
رَبِّى my Lord rabbī
my Lord
غَفُورٌۭ (is) Oft-Forgiving ghafūrun
(is) Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمٌۭ Most Merciful raḥīmun
Most Merciful
٥٣ (53)
(53)
Und ich spreche mich nicht selbst frei. Die Seele gebietet fürwahr mit Nachdruck das Böse, außer daß mein Herr Sich erbarmt. Mein Herr ist Allvergebend und Barmherzig.
12:54
وَقَالَ And said waqāla
And said
ٱلْمَلِكُ the king l-maliku

ٱئْتُونِى Bring him to me i'tūnī
Bring him to me
بِهِۦٓ Bring him to me bihi
Bring him to me
أَسْتَخْلِصْهُ I will select him astakhliṣ'hu
I will select him
لِنَفْسِى ۖ for myself linafsī
for myself
فَلَمَّا Then when falammā
Then when
كَلَّمَهُۥ he spoke to him kallamahu
he spoke to him
قَالَ he said qāla
he said
إِنَّكَ Indeed, you innaka
Indeed, you
ٱلْيَوْمَ (are) today l-yawma
(are) today
لَدَيْنَا with us ladaynā
with us
مَكِينٌ firmly established makīnun
firmly established
أَمِينٌۭ (and) trusted amīnun
(and) trusted
٥٤ (54)
(54)
Und der König sagte: Bringt ihn zu mir. Ich will ihn mir selbst vorbehalten. Als er mit ihm sprach, sagte er: Du bist (von) heute (an) bei uns in fester Stellung und vertrauenswürdig.
12:55
قَالَ He said qāla
He said
ٱجْعَلْنِى Appoint me ij'ʿalnī
Appoint me
عَلَىٰ over ʿalā
over
خَزَآئِنِ (the) treasuries khazāini
(the) treasuries
ٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ (of) the land l-arḍi
(of) the land
إِنِّى Indeed, I innī
Indeed, I
حَفِيظٌ (will be) a guardian ḥafīẓun
(will be) a guardian
عَلِيمٌۭ knowing ʿalīmun
knowing
٥٥ (55)
(55)
Er sagte: Setze mich über die Vorratskammern des Landes ein; ich bin ein kenntnisreicher Hüter.
12:56
وَكَذَٰلِكَ And thus wakadhālika
And thus
مَكَّنَّا We established makkannā
We established
لِيُوسُفَ [to] Yusuf liyūsufa
[to] Yusuf
فِى in
in
ٱلْأَرْضِ the land l-arḍi
the land
يَتَبَوَّأُ to settle yatabawwa-u
to settle
مِنْهَا therein min'hā
therein
حَيْثُ where ever ḥaythu
where ever
يَشَآءُ ۚ he willed yashāu
he willed
نُصِيبُ We bestow nuṣību
We bestow
بِرَحْمَتِنَا Our Mercy biraḥmatinā
Our Mercy
مَن (on) whom man
(on) whom
نَّشَآءُ ۖ We will nashāu
We will
وَلَا And not walā
And not
نُضِيعُ We let go waste nuḍīʿu
We let go waste
أَجْرَ (the) reward ajra
(the) reward
ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ (of) the good-doers l-muḥ'sinīna
(of) the good-doers
٥٦ (56)
(56)
So verliehen Wir Yusuf eine feste Stellung im Land, so daß er sich darin aufhalten konnte, wo immer er wollte. Wir treffen mit Unserer Barmherzigkeit, wen Wir wollen, und Wir lassen den Lohn der Gutes Tuenden nicht verlorengehen.
12:57
وَلَأَجْرُ And surely (the) reward wala-ajru
And surely (the) reward
ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ (of) the Hereafter l-ākhirati
(of) the Hereafter
خَيْرٌۭ (is) better khayrun
(is) better
لِّلَّذِينَ for those who lilladhīna
for those who
ءَامَنُوا۟ believe āmanū
believe
وَكَانُوا۟ and are wakānū
and are
يَتَّقُونَ God conscious yattaqūna
God conscious
٥٧ (57)
(57)
Aber der Lohn des Jenseits ist wahrlich besser für diejenigen, die glauben und gottesfürchtig sind.
12:58
وَجَآءَ And came wajāa
And came
إِخْوَةُ (the) brothers ikh'watu
(the) brothers
يُوسُفَ (of) Yusuf yūsufa
(of) Yusuf
فَدَخَلُوا۟ and they entered fadakhalū
and they entered
عَلَيْهِ upon him ʿalayhi
upon him
فَعَرَفَهُمْ and he recognized them faʿarafahum
and he recognized them
وَهُمْ but they wahum
but they
لَهُۥ knew him not lahu
knew him not
مُنكِرُونَ knew him not munkirūna
knew him not
٥٨ (58)
(58)
Und da kamen Yusufs Brüder und traten bei ihm ein. Er erkannte sie, während sie ihn nicht erkannten.
12:59
وَلَمَّا And when walammā
And when
جَهَّزَهُم he had furnished them jahhazahum
he had furnished them
بِجَهَازِهِمْ with their supplies bijahāzihim
with their supplies
قَالَ he said qāla
he said
ٱئْتُونِى Bring to me i'tūnī
Bring to me
بِأَخٍۢ a brother bi-akhin
a brother
لَّكُم of yours lakum
of yours
مِّنْ from min
from
أَبِيكُمْ ۚ your father abīkum
your father
أَلَا Do not alā
Do not
تَرَوْنَ you see tarawna
you see
أَنِّىٓ that I annī
that I
أُوفِى [I] give full ūfī
[I] give full
ٱلْكَيْلَ [the] measure l-kayla
[the] measure
وَأَنَا۠ and that I am wa-anā
and that I am
خَيْرُ (the) best khayru
(the) best
ٱلْمُنزِلِينَ (of) the hosts l-munzilīna
(of) the hosts
٥٩ (59)
(59)
Als er sie nun mit ihrem Bedarf ausgestattet hatte, sagte er: Bringt mir einen (Halb)bruder von euch väterlicherseits. Seht ihr denn nicht, daß ich volles Maß gebe und daß ich der beste Obdachgeber bin?
12:60
فَإِن But if fa-in

تَأْتُونِى you bring him to me tatūnī

بِهِۦ you bring him to me bihi
you bring him to me
فَلَا then (there will be) no falā
then (there will be) no
كَيْلَ measure kayla

لَكُمْ for you lakum

عِندِى from me ʿindī
from me
وَلَا and not walā
and not
تَقْرَبُونِ you will come near me taqrabūni
you will come near me
٦٠ (60)
(60)
Wenn ihr ihn mir nicht bringt, so bekommt ihr bei mir kein Maß mehr, und ihr sollt nicht in meine Nähe kommen.
12:61
قَالُوا۟ They said qālū
They said
سَنُرَٰوِدُ We will try to get permission sanurāwidu
We will try to get permission
عَنْهُ for him ʿanhu
for him
أَبَاهُ (from) his father abāhu
(from) his father
وَإِنَّا and indeed we wa-innā
and indeed we
لَفَـٰعِلُونَ surely will do lafāʿilūna
surely will do
٦١ (61)
(61)
Sie sagten: Wir werden versuchen, seinen Vater in Bezug auf ihn zu bewegen, und wir werden es bestimmt tun.
12:62
وَقَالَ And he said waqāla
And he said
لِفِتْيَـٰنِهِ to his servants lifit'yānihi
to his servants
ٱجْعَلُوا۟ Put ij'ʿalū
Put
بِضَـٰعَتَهُمْ their merchandise biḍāʿatahum
their merchandise
فِى in
in
رِحَالِهِمْ their saddlebags riḥālihim
their saddlebags
لَعَلَّهُمْ so that they laʿallahum
so that they
يَعْرِفُونَهَآ may recognize it yaʿrifūnahā
may recognize it
إِذَا when idhā
when
ٱنقَلَبُوٓا۟ they go back inqalabū
they go back
إِلَىٰٓ to ilā
to
أَهْلِهِمْ their people ahlihim
their people
لَعَلَّهُمْ so that they may laʿallahum
so that they may
يَرْجِعُونَ return yarjiʿūna
return
٦٢ (62)
(62)
Und er sagte zu seinen Burschen: Steckt ihre (Tausch)ware (zurück) in ihr Gepäck, so daß sie sie (wieder)erkennen, wenn sie zu ihren Angehörigen zurückgekehrt sind, auf daß sie wiederkommen mögen.
12:63
فَلَمَّا So when falammā

رَجَعُوٓا۟ they returned rajaʿū

إِلَىٰٓ to ilā
to
أَبِيهِمْ their father abīhim
their father
قَالُوا۟ they said qālū
they said
يَـٰٓأَبَانَا O our father yāabānā
O our father
مُنِعَ Has been denied muniʿa
Has been denied
مِنَّا to us minnā
to us
ٱلْكَيْلُ the measure l-kaylu
the measure
فَأَرْسِلْ so send fa-arsil
so send
مَعَنَآ with us maʿanā
with us
أَخَانَا our brother akhānā
our brother
نَكْتَلْ (that) we will get measure naktal
(that) we will get measure
وَإِنَّا And indeed, we wa-innā
And indeed, we
لَهُۥ for him lahu
for him
لَحَـٰفِظُونَ (will) surely (be) guardians laḥāfiẓūna
(will) surely (be) guardians
٦٣ (63)
(63)
Als sie zu ihrem Vater zurückkamen, sagten sie: O unser Vater, ein (weiteres) Maß ist uns verweigert worden. Darum lasse unseren Bruder mit uns gehen, so bekommen wir ein (weiteres) Maß zugeteilt; wir werden ihn fürwahr behüten.
12:64
قَالَ He said qāla
He said
هَلْ Should hal
Should
ءَامَنُكُمْ I entrust you āmanukum
I entrust you
عَلَيْهِ with him ʿalayhi
with him
إِلَّا except illā
except
كَمَآ as kamā
as
أَمِنتُكُمْ I entrusted you amintukum
I entrusted you
عَلَىٰٓ with ʿalā
with
أَخِيهِ his brother akhīhi
his brother
مِن before min
before
قَبْلُ ۖ before qablu
before
فَٱللَّهُ But Allah fal-lahu
But Allah
خَيْرٌ (is) the best khayrun
(is) the best
حَـٰفِظًۭا ۖ Guardian ḥāfiẓan
Guardian
وَهُوَ and He wahuwa
and He
أَرْحَمُ (is the) Most Merciful arḥamu
(is the) Most Merciful
ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ (of) the merciful l-rāḥimīna
(of) the merciful
٦٤ (64)
(64)
Er sagte: Kann ich ihn euch etwa anders anvertrauen, als ich euch zuvor seinen Bruder anvertraut habe? Allah ist besser als Behütender, und Er ist der Barmherzigste der Barmherzigen.
12:65
وَلَمَّا And when walammā
And when
فَتَحُوا۟ they opened fataḥū
they opened
مَتَـٰعَهُمْ their baggage matāʿahum
their baggage
وَجَدُوا۟ they found wajadū
they found
بِضَـٰعَتَهُمْ their merchandise biḍāʿatahum
their merchandise
رُدَّتْ returned ruddat
returned
إِلَيْهِمْ ۖ to them ilayhim
to them
قَالُوا۟ They said qālū
They said
يَـٰٓأَبَانَا O our father yāabānā
O our father
مَا What
What
نَبْغِى ۖ (could) we desire nabghī
(could) we desire
هَـٰذِهِۦ This hādhihi
This
بِضَـٰعَتُنَا (is) our merchandise biḍāʿatunā
(is) our merchandise
رُدَّتْ returned ruddat

وَنَحْفَظُ and we will protect wanaḥfaẓu

أَخَانَا our brother akhānā

وَنَزْدَادُ and get an increase wanazdādu
and get an increase
كَيْلَ measure kayla
measure
بَعِيرٍۢ ۖ (of) a camel's (load) baʿīrin
(of) a camel's (load)
ذَٰلِكَ That dhālika
That
كَيْلٌۭ (is) a measurement kaylun
(is) a measurement
يَسِيرٌۭ easy yasīrun
easy
٦٥ (65)
(65)
Und als sie ihre Sachen öffneten, fanden sie, daß ihre Ware ihnen zurückgegeben worden war. Sie sagten: O unser Vater, was begehren wir (mehr)? Das ist unsere Ware, sie ist uns zurückgegeben worden. Wir werden Vorrat für unsere Angehörigen bringen, unseren Bruder behüten und das Maß (der Last) eines Kamels mehr haben. Das ist ein leicht(erhältlich)es Maß.
12:66
قَالَ He said qāla
He said
لَنْ Never lan

أُرْسِلَهُۥ will I send him ur'silahu

مَعَكُمْ with you maʿakum

حَتَّىٰ until ḥattā

تُؤْتُونِ you give to me tu'tūni

مِّنَ by mina

ٱللَّهِ Allah l-lahi

لَتَأْتُنَّنِى that surely you will bring him to me latatunnanī
that surely you will bring him to me
بِهِۦٓ that surely you will bring him to me bihi
that surely you will bring him to me
إِلَّآ unless illā
unless
أَن that an
that
يُحَاطَ you are surrounded yuḥāṭa
you are surrounded
بِكُمْ ۖ you are surrounded bikum
you are surrounded
فَلَمَّآ And when falammā
And when
ءَاتَوْهُ they had given him ātawhu
they had given him
مَوْثِقَهُمْ their promise mawthiqahum
their promise
قَالَ he said qāla
he said
ٱللَّهُ Allah l-lahu
Allah
عَلَىٰ over ʿalā
over
مَا what
what
نَقُولُ we say naqūlu
we say
وَكِيلٌۭ (is) a Guardian wakīlun
(is) a Guardian
٦٦ (66)
(66)
Er sagte: Ich werde ihn nicht mit euch senden, bis ihr mir ein verbindliches Versprechen vor Allah gebt, daß ihr ihn mir ganz gewiß wiederbringt, es sei denn, ihr werdet umringt. Als sie ihm ihr verbindliches Versprechen gegeben hatten, sagte er: Allah ist Sachwalter über das, was wir (hier) sagen.
12:67
وَقَالَ And he said waqāla
And he said
يَـٰبَنِىَّ O my sons yābaniyya
O my sons
لَا (Do) not
(Do) not
تَدْخُلُوا۟ enter tadkhulū
enter
مِنۢ from min
from
بَابٍۢ one gate bābin
one gate
وَٰحِدٍۢ one gate wāḥidin
one gate
وَٱدْخُلُوا۟ but enter wa-ud'khulū
but enter
مِنْ from min
from
أَبْوَٰبٍۢ gates abwābin
gates
مُّتَفَرِّقَةٍۢ ۖ different mutafarriqatin
different
وَمَآ And not wamā
And not
أُغْنِى I can avail ugh'nī
I can avail
عَنكُم you ʿankum
you
مِّنَ against mina
against
ٱللَّهِ Allah l-lahi
Allah
مِن any min
any
شَىْءٍ ۖ thing shayin
thing
إِنِ Not ini
Not
ٱلْحُكْمُ (is) the decision l-ḥuk'mu
(is) the decision
إِلَّا except illā
except
لِلَّهِ ۖ with Allah lillahi
with Allah
عَلَيْهِ upon Him ʿalayhi
upon Him
تَوَكَّلْتُ ۖ I put my trust tawakkaltu
I put my trust
وَعَلَيْهِ and upon Him waʿalayhi
and upon Him
فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ let put (their) trust falyatawakkali
let put (their) trust
ٱلْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ the ones who put trust l-mutawakilūna
the ones who put trust
٦٧ (67)
(67)
Und er sagte: O meine Kinder, geht nicht (alle) durch ein einziges Tor hinein, sondern geht durch verschiedene Tore hinein. Ich kann euch gegen Allah nichts nützen. Das Urteil ist allein Allahs. Auf Ihn verlasse ich mich; und auf Ihn sollen sich diejenigen verlassen, die sich (überhaupt auf jemanden) verlassen (wollen).
12:68
وَلَمَّا And when walammā

ٱللَّهِ Allah l-lahi

شَىْءٍ thing shayin

حَاجَةًۭ (it was) a need ḥājatan
(it was) a need
فِى of
of
نَفْسِ Yaqub's soul nafsi
Yaqub's soul
يَعْقُوبَ Yaqub's soul yaʿqūba
Yaqub's soul
قَضَىٰهَا ۚ which he carried out qaḍāhā
which he carried out
وَإِنَّهُۥ And indeed, he wa-innahu
And indeed, he
لَذُو (was) a possessor ladhū
(was) a possessor
عِلْمٍۢ (of) knowledge ʿil'min
(of) knowledge
لِّمَا because limā
because
عَلَّمْنَـٰهُ We had taught him ʿallamnāhu
We had taught him
وَلَـٰكِنَّ but walākinna
but
أَكْثَرَ most akthara
most
ٱلنَّاسِ (of) the people l-nāsi
(of) the people
لَا (do) not
(do) not
يَعْلَمُونَ know yaʿlamūna
know
٦٨ (68)
(68)
Als sie hineingingen, wie ihr Vater ihnen befohlen hatte, konnte es ihnen vor Allah nichts nützen. (Es war) nur ein Bedürfnis in der Seele Ya’qubs, das er (damit) erfüllte. Und er besaß fürwahr Wissen, weil Wir es ihn gelehrt hatten. Aber die meisten Menschen wissen nicht.
12:69
وَلَمَّا And when walammā

ءَاوَىٰٓ he took āwā

قَالَ He said qāla

إِنِّىٓ Indeed, I innī
Indeed, I
أَنَا۠ [I] am anā
[I] am
أَخُوكَ your brother akhūka
your brother
فَلَا so (do) not falā
so (do) not
تَبْتَئِسْ grieve tabta-is
grieve
بِمَا for what bimā
for what
كَانُوا۟ they used (to) kānū
they used (to)
يَعْمَلُونَ do yaʿmalūna
do
٦٩ (69)
(69)
Als sie bei Yusuf eintraten, zog er seinen Bruder zu sich. Er sagte: Gewiß, ich bin dein Bruder. So sei nicht bekümmert wegen dessen, was sie getan haben.
12:70
فَلَمَّا So when falammā

جَهَّزَهُم he had furnished them jahhazahum

بِجَهَازِهِمْ with their supplies bijahāzihim
with their supplies
جَعَلَ he put jaʿala
he put
ٱلسِّقَايَةَ the drinking cup l-siqāyata

فِى in

رَحْلِ the bag raḥli
the bag
أَخِيهِ (of) his brother akhīhi
(of) his brother
ثُمَّ Then thumma
Then
أَذَّنَ called out adhana
called out
مُؤَذِّنٌ an announcer mu-adhinun
an announcer
أَيَّتُهَا O you ayyatuhā
O you
ٱلْعِيرُ (in) the caravan l-ʿīru
(in) the caravan
إِنَّكُمْ Indeed, you innakum
Indeed, you
لَسَـٰرِقُونَ surely (are) thieves lasāriqūna
surely (are) thieves
٧٠ (70)
(70)
Als er sie nun mit ihrem Bedarf ausgestattet hatte, steckte er das Trinkgefäß in das Gepäck seines Bruders. Hierauf rief ein Rufer aus: Ihr (da, von der) Karawane, ihr seid fürwahr Diebe.
12:71
قَالُوا۟ They said qālū
They said
وَأَقْبَلُوا۟ turning towards wa-aqbalū
turning towards
عَلَيْهِم them ʿalayhim
them
مَّاذَا What (is it) mādhā
What (is it)
تَفْقِدُونَ you miss tafqidūna
you miss
٧١ (71)
(71)
Sie sagten, indem sie sich ihnen zuwandten: Was vermißt ihr?
12:72
قَالُوا۟ They said qālū
They said
نَفْقِدُ We are missing nafqidu
We are missing
صُوَاعَ (the) cup ṣuwāʿa
(the) cup
ٱلْمَلِكِ (of) the king l-maliki
(of) the king
وَلِمَن And for (one) who waliman
And for (one) who
جَآءَ brings jāa
brings
بِهِۦ it bihi
it
حِمْلُ (is) a load ḥim'lu
(is) a load
بَعِيرٍۢ (of) a camel baʿīrin
(of) a camel
وَأَنَا۠ and I wa-anā
and I
بِهِۦ for it bihi
for it
زَعِيمٌۭ (is) responsible zaʿīmun
(is) responsible
٧٢ (72)
(72)
Sie sagten: Wir vermissen den Kelch des Königs. Wer ihn wiederbringt, erhält die Last eines Kamels, und dafür bin ich Bürge.
12:73
قَالُوا۟ They said qālū
They said
تَٱللَّهِ By Allah tal-lahi
By Allah
لَقَدْ certainly laqad
certainly
عَلِمْتُم you know ʿalim'tum
you know
مَّا not
not
جِئْنَا we came ji'nā
we came
لِنُفْسِدَ that we cause corruption linuf'sida
that we cause corruption
فِى in
in
ٱلْأَرْضِ the land l-arḍi
the land
وَمَا and not wamā
and not
كُنَّا we are kunnā
we are
سَـٰرِقِينَ thieves sāriqīna
thieves
٧٣ (73)
(73)
Sie sagten: Bei Allah, ihr wißt doch, wir sind nicht gekommen, um im Land Unheil zu stiften, und wir sind keine Diebe.
12:74
قَالُوا۟ They said qālū
They said
فَمَا Then what famā
Then what
جَزَٰٓؤُهُۥٓ (will be the) recompense (of) it jazāuhu
(will be the) recompense (of) it
إِن if in
if
كُنتُمْ you are kuntum
you are
كَـٰذِبِينَ liars kādhibīna
liars
٧٤ (74)

Sie sagten: Was soll dann die Vergeltung dafür sein, wenn ihr Lügner seid?
12:75
قَالُوا۟ They said qālū
They said
جَزَٰٓؤُهُۥ Its recompense jazāuhu
Its recompense
مَن (is that one) who man
(is that one) who
وُجِدَ it is found wujida
it is found
فِى in
in
رَحْلِهِۦ his bag raḥlihi
his bag
فَهُوَ then he fahuwa
then he
جَزَٰٓؤُهُۥ ۚ (will be) his recompense jazāuhu
(will be) his recompense
كَذَٰلِكَ Thus kadhālika
Thus
نَجْزِى (do) we recompense najzī
(do) we recompense
ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ the wrongdoers l-ẓālimīna
the wrongdoers
٧٥ (75)
(75)
Sie (die Brüder) sagten: Die Vergeltung dafür soll sein, daß derjenige, in dessen Gepäck er gefunden wird, selbst das Entgelt dafür sein soll. So vergelten wir den Ungerechten.
12:76
فَبَدَأَ So he began fabada-a
So he began
بِأَوْعِيَتِهِمْ with their bags bi-awʿiyatihim
with their bags
قَبْلَ before qabla

وِعَآءِ (the) bag wiʿāi
(the) bag
أَخِيهِ (of) his brother akhīhi
(of) his brother
ثُمَّ then thumma

ٱسْتَخْرَجَهَا he brought it out is'takhrajahā
he brought it out

وِعَآءِ (the) bag wiʿāi
(the) bag
أَخِيهِ ۚ (of) his brother akhīhi
(of) his brother
كَذَٰلِكَ Thus kadhālika
Thus
كِدْنَا (did) We plan kid'nā
(did) We plan
لِيُوسُفَ ۖ for Yusuf liyūsufa
for Yusuf
مَا He could not
He could not
كَانَ He could not kāna
He could not
لِيَأْخُذَ take liyakhudha
take
أَخَاهُ his brother akhāhu
his brother
فِى by
by
دِينِ the law dīni
the law
ٱلْمَلِكِ (of) the king l-maliki
(of) the king
إِلَّآ except illā
except
أَن that an
that
يَشَآءَ Allah willed yashāa
Allah willed
ٱللَّهُ ۚ Allah willed l-lahu
Allah willed
نَرْفَعُ We raise narfaʿu
We raise
دَرَجَـٰتٍۢ (in) degrees darajātin
(in) degrees
مَّن whom man
whom
نَّشَآءُ ۗ We will nashāu
We will
وَفَوْقَ but over wafawqa
but over
كُلِّ every kulli
every
ذِى possessor dhī
possessor
عِلْمٍ (of) knowledge ʿil'min
(of) knowledge
عَلِيمٌۭ (is) the All-Knower ʿalīmun
(is) the All-Knower
٧٦ (76)
(76)
Er begann (zu suchen) in ihren Behältern vor dem Behälter seines Bruders. Hierauf holte er es aus dem Behälter seines Bruders hervor. So führten Wir für Yusuf eine List aus. Nach dem Gesetz des Königs hätte es ihm nicht zugestanden, seinen Bruder (als Sklaven) zu nehmen, außer daß Allah es wollte. Wir erhöhen, wen Wir wollen, um Rangstufen. Und über jedem, der Wissen besitzt, steht einer, der (noch mehr) weiß.
12:77
۞ قَالُوٓا۟ They said qālū

سَرَقَ stole saraqa

أَخٌۭ a brother akhun
a brother
لَّهُۥ of his lahu

فَأَسَرَّهَا But Yusuf kept it secret fa-asarrahā

يُوسُفُ But Yusuf kept it secret yūsufu
But Yusuf kept it secret
فِى within

نَفْسِهِۦ himself nafsihi
himself
وَلَمْ and (did) not walam
and (did) not
يُبْدِهَا reveal it yub'dihā
reveal it
لَهُمْ ۚ to them lahum
to them
قَالَ He said qāla
He said
أَنتُمْ You antum
You
شَرٌّۭ (are the) worse sharrun
(are the) worse
مَّكَانًۭا ۖ (in) position makānan
(in) position
وَٱللَّهُ and Allah wal-lahu
and Allah
أَعْلَمُ knows best aʿlamu
knows best
بِمَا of what bimā
of what
تَصِفُونَ you describe taṣifūna
you describe
٧٧ (77)
(77)
Sie sagten: Wenn er stiehlt, so hat ein Bruder von ihm schon zuvor gestohlen. Aber Yusuf hielt es in seinem Innersten geheim und legte es ihnen nicht offen. Er sagte: Ihr befindet euch in einer (noch) schlechteren Lage. Und Allah weiß sehr wohl, was ihr beschreibt.
12:78
قَالُوا۟ They said qālū
They said
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا O yāayyuhā
O
ٱلْعَزِيزُ Aziz l-ʿazīzu
Aziz
إِنَّ Indeed inna
Indeed
لَهُۥٓ he has lahu
he has
أَبًۭا a father aban
a father
شَيْخًۭا old shaykhan
old
كَبِيرًۭا [great] kabīran
[great]
فَخُذْ so take fakhudh
so take
أَحَدَنَا one of us aḥadanā
one of us
مَكَانَهُۥٓ ۖ (in) his place makānahu
(in) his place
إِنَّا Indeed, we innā
Indeed, we
نَرَىٰكَ [we] see you narāka
[we] see you
مِنَ of mina
of
ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ the good-doers l-muḥ'sinīna
the good-doers
٧٨ (78)
(78)
Sie sagten: O hoher Herr, er hat einen Vater, einen hochbetagten Greis. So nimm einen von uns an seiner Stelle. Wir sehen, daß du zu den Gutes Tuenden gehörst.
12:79
قَالَ He said qāla
He said
مَعَاذَ Allah forbid maʿādha
Allah forbid
ٱللَّهِ Allah forbid l-lahi
Allah forbid
أَن that an
that
نَّأْخُذَ we take nakhudha
we take
إِلَّا except illā
except
مَن (one) who man
(one) who
وَجَدْنَا we found wajadnā
we found
مَتَـٰعَنَا our possession matāʿanā
our possession
عِندَهُۥٓ with him ʿindahu
with him
إِنَّآ Indeed, we innā
Indeed, we
إِذًۭا then idhan
then
لَّظَـٰلِمُونَ surely (would be) wrongdoers laẓālimūna
surely (would be) wrongdoers
٧٩ (79)
(79)
Er sagte: Allah schütze uns (davor), daß wir einen anderen nehmen als denjenigen, bei dem wir unsere Sachen gefunden haben! Wir würden sonst wahrlich zu den Ungerechten gehören.
12:80
فَلَمَّا So when falammā

ٱسْتَيْـَٔسُوا۟ they despaired is'tayasū

مِنْهُ of him min'hu

خَلَصُوا۟ they secluded themselves khalaṣū

نَجِيًّۭا ۖ (in) private consultation najiyyan

قَالَ Said qāla

كَبِيرُهُمْ the eldest among them kabīruhum
the eldest among them
أَلَمْ Do not alam
Do not
تَعْلَمُوٓا۟ you know taʿlamū
you know
أَنَّ that anna
that
أَبَاكُمْ your father abākum
your father
قَدْ has taken qad
has taken
أَخَذَ has taken akhadha
has taken
عَلَيْكُم upon you ʿalaykum
upon you
مَّوْثِقًۭا a promise mawthiqan
a promise
مِّنَ by mina
by
ٱللَّهِ Allah l-lahi
Allah
وَمِن and before wamin
and before
قَبْلُ and before qablu
and before
مَا that
that
فَرَّطتُمْ you failed farraṭtum
you failed
فِى concerning
concerning
يُوسُفَ ۖ Yusuf yūsufa
Yusuf
فَلَنْ So never falan

أَبْرَحَ will I leave abraḥa
will I leave
ٱلْأَرْضَ the land l-arḍa
the land
حَتَّىٰ until ḥattā
until
يَأْذَنَ permits yadhana
permits
لِىٓ me
me
أَبِىٓ my father abī
my father
أَوْ or aw
or
يَحْكُمَ Allah decides yaḥkuma
Allah decides
ٱللَّهُ Allah decides l-lahu
Allah decides
لِى ۖ for me
for me
وَهُوَ and He wahuwa
and He
خَيْرُ (is) the Best khayru
(is) the Best
ٱلْحَـٰكِمِينَ (of) the judges l-ḥākimīna
(of) the judges
٨٠ (80)
(80)
Als sie die Hoffnung an ihm aufgegeben hatten, zogen sie sich zurück zu einem vertraulichen Gespräch. Der Älteste von ihnen sagte: Wißt ihr (denn) nicht, daß euer Vater von euch ein verbindliches Versprechen vor Allah entgegengenommen hat und daß ihr zuvor (eure Pflicht) gegenüber Yusuf vernachlässigt habt? Ich werde das Land nicht verlassen, bis mein Vater es mir erlaubt oder Allah ein Urteil für mich fällt. Er ist der Beste derer, die Urteile fällen.
12:81
ٱرْجِعُوٓا۟ Return ir'jiʿū
Return
إِلَىٰٓ to ilā

أَبِيكُمْ your father abīkum

فَقُولُوا۟ and say faqūlū
and say
يَـٰٓأَبَانَآ 'O our father yāabānā
'O our father
إِنَّ Indeed inna
Indeed
ٱبْنَكَ your son ib'naka
your son
سَرَقَ has stolen saraqa
has stolen
وَمَا and not wamā
and not
شَهِدْنَآ we testify shahid'nā
we testify
إِلَّا except illā
except
بِمَا of what bimā
of what
عَلِمْنَا we knew ʿalim'nā
we knew
وَمَا And not wamā
And not
كُنَّا we were kunnā
we were
لِلْغَيْبِ of the unseen lil'ghaybi
of the unseen
حَـٰفِظِينَ guardians ḥāfiẓīna
guardians
٨١ (81)
(81)
Kehrt zu eurem Vater zurück und sagt: ,O unser Vater, dein Sohn hat gestohlen, und wir bezeugen nur das, was wir wissen, und wir sind nicht Hüter über das Verborgene.
12:82
وَسْـَٔلِ And ask wasali
And ask
ٱلْقَرْيَةَ the town l-qaryata
the town
ٱلَّتِى where allatī
where
كُنَّا we were kunnā
we were
فِيهَا [in it] fīhā
[in it]
وَٱلْعِيرَ and the caravan wal-ʿīra
and the caravan
ٱلَّتِىٓ which allatī
which
أَقْبَلْنَا we returned aqbalnā
we returned
فِيهَا ۖ [in it] fīhā
[in it]
وَإِنَّا And indeed, we wa-innā
And indeed, we
لَصَـٰدِقُونَ surely (are) truthful.' laṣādiqūna
surely (are) truthful.'
٨٢ (82)
(82)
Frag die Stadt, in der wir waren, und die Karawane, mit der wir angekommen sind. Wir sagen gewiß die Wahrheit’.
12:83
قَالَ He said qāla

بَلْ Nay bal
Nay
سَوَّلَتْ have enticed sawwalat
have enticed
لَكُمْ you lakum
you
أَنفُسُكُمْ your souls anfusukum
your souls
أَمْرًۭا ۖ something amran
something
فَصَبْرٌۭ so patience faṣabrun
so patience
جَمِيلٌ ۖ (is) beautiful jamīlun
(is) beautiful
عَسَى Perhaps ʿasā
Perhaps
ٱللَّهُ Allah l-lahu
Allah
أَن will bring them to me an
will bring them to me
يَأْتِيَنِى will bring them to me yatiyanī
will bring them to me
بِهِمْ will bring them to me bihim
will bring them to me
جَمِيعًا ۚ all jamīʿan
all
إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, He innahu
Indeed, He
هُوَ He huwa
He
ٱلْعَلِيمُ (is) the All-Knower l-ʿalīmu
(is) the All-Knower
ٱلْحَكِيمُ All-Wise l-ḥakīmu
All-Wise
٨٣ (83)
(83)
Er sagte: Nein! Vielmehr habt ihr selbst euch etwas eingeredet. (Es gilt) schöne Geduld (zu üben). Aber vielleicht wird Allah sie mir alle wiederbringen. Er ist ja der Allwissende und Allweise.
12:84
وَتَوَلَّىٰ And he turned away watawallā
And he turned away
عَنْهُمْ from them ʿanhum

وَقَالَ and said waqāla
and said
يَـٰٓأَسَفَىٰ Alas, my grief yāasafā
Alas, my grief
عَلَىٰ over ʿalā
over
يُوسُفَ Yusuf yūsufa
Yusuf
وَٱبْيَضَّتْ And became white wa-ib'yaḍḍat
And became white
عَيْنَاهُ his eyes ʿaynāhu
his eyes
مِنَ from mina
from
ٱلْحُزْنِ the grief l-ḥuz'ni
the grief
فَهُوَ and he (was) fahuwa
and he (was)
كَظِيمٌۭ a suppressor kaẓīmun
a suppressor
٨٤ (84)
(84)
Und er kehrte sich von ihnen ab und sagte: O mein Kummer um Yusuf! Und seine Augen wurden weiß vor Trauer, und so hielt er (seinen Kummer) zurück.
12:85
قَالُوا۟ They said qālū

Sie sagten: Bei Allah, du hörst nicht auf, Yusufs zu gedenken, bis du hinfällig geworden bist oder zu denen gehörst, die umkommen.
12:86
قَالَ He said qāla
He said
إِنَّمَآ Only innamā

أَشْكُوا۟ I complain ashkū
I complain
بَثِّى (of) my suffering bathī
(of) my suffering
وَحُزْنِىٓ and my grief waḥuz'nī
and my grief
إِلَى to ilā
to
ٱللَّهِ Allah l-lahi

وَأَعْلَمُ and I know wa-aʿlamu
and I know
مِنَ from mina
from
ٱللَّهِ Allah l-lahi
Allah
مَا what

تَعْلَمُونَ you know taʿlamūna
you know

Er sagte: Ich klage meinen unerträglichen Kummer und meine Trauer nur Allah (allein), und ich weiß von Allah her, was ihr nicht wißt.
12:87
يَـٰبَنِىَّ O my sons yābaniyya
O my sons
ٱذْهَبُوا۟ Go idh'habū

فَتَحَسَّسُوا۟ and inquire fataḥassasū
and inquire

(the) Mercy of Allah
إِنَّهُۥ Indeed innahu

يَا۟يْـَٔسُ despairs yāy'asu
despairs
مِن of min
of
رَّوْحِ (the) Mercy of Allah rawḥi
(the) Mercy of Allah
ٱللَّهِ (the) Mercy of Allah l-lahi
(the) Mercy of Allah
إِلَّا except illā
except
ٱلْقَوْمُ the people l-qawmu
the people
ٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَ the disbelievers l-kāfirūna
the disbelievers
٨٧ (87)
(87)
O meine Kinder, geht und erkundigt euch über Yusuf und seinen Bruder. Und gebt nicht die Hoffnung auf das Erbarmen Allahs auf. Es gibt die Hoffnung auf das Erbarmen Allahs nur das ungläubige Volk auf.
12:88
فَلَمَّا So when falammā

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا O Aziz yāayyuhā

مَسَّنَا Has touched us massanā
Has touched us
وَأَهْلَنَا and our family wa-ahlanā
and our family
ٱلضُّرُّ the adversity l-ḍuru
the adversity
وَجِئْنَا and we have come waji'nā
and we have come
بِبِضَـٰعَةٍۢ with goods bibiḍāʿatin
with goods
مُّزْجَىٰةٍۢ (of) little value muz'jātin
(of) little value
فَأَوْفِ but pay (in) full fa-awfi
but pay (in) full
لَنَا to us lanā
to us
ٱلْكَيْلَ the measure l-kayla
the measure
وَتَصَدَّقْ and be charitable wataṣaddaq
and be charitable
عَلَيْنَآ ۖ to us ʿalaynā
to us
إِنَّ Indeed inna
Indeed
ٱللَّهَ Allah l-laha
Allah
يَجْزِى rewards yajzī
rewards
ٱلْمُتَصَدِّقِينَ the charitable l-mutaṣadiqīna
the charitable
٨٨ (88)
(88)
Als sie (wieder) bei ihm eintraten, sagten sie: O hoher Herr, Unheil ist uns und unseren Angehörigen widerfahren. Und wir haben (nur) Ware von geringem Wert gebracht. So gib uns (dennoch) volles Maß und gib (es) uns als Almosen. Allah vergilt denjenigen, die Almosen geben.
12:89

Er sagte: Wißt ihr (noch), was ihr Yusuf und seinem Bruder damals in eurer Torheit antatet?
12:90
قَالُوٓا۟ They said qālū

أَءِنَّكَ Are you indeed a-innaka

لَأَنتَ surely you la-anta
surely you
يُوسُفُ ۖ Yusuf yūsufu

قَالَ He said qāla

أَنَا۠ I am anā

وَهَـٰذَآ and this wahādhā

أَخِى ۖ (is) my brother akhī

قَدْ Indeed qad

مَنَّ Allah has been gracious manna

ٱللَّهُ Allah has been gracious l-lahu
Allah has been gracious
عَلَيْنَآ ۖ to us ʿalaynā

إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, he innahu
Indeed, he
مَن who man
who
يَتَّقِ fears Allah yattaqi
fears Allah
وَيَصْبِرْ and (is) patient wayaṣbir
and (is) patient
فَإِنَّ then indeed fa-inna
then indeed
ٱللَّهَ Allah l-laha
Allah
لَا (does) not
(does) not
يُضِيعُ let go waste yuḍīʿu
let go waste
أَجْرَ (the) reward ajra
(the) reward
ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ (of) the good-doers l-muḥ'sinīna
(of) the good-doers
٩٠ (90)
(90)
Sie sagten: Bist du denn wirklich Yusuf? Er sagte: Ich bin Yusuf, und das ist mein Bruder. Allah hat uns eine Wohltat erwiesen. Gewiß, wer gottesfürchtig und standhaft ist -- gewiß, Allah läßt den Lohn der Gutes Tuenden nicht verlorenge hen.
12:91

ءَاثَرَكَ Allah has preferred you ātharaka

and indeed
كُنَّا we have been kunnā
we have been
لَخَـٰطِـِٔينَ sinners lakhāṭiīna
sinners
٩١ (91)

Sie sagten: Bei Allah, Allah hat dich uns vorgezogen. Und wir haben wahrlich Verfehlungen begangen.
12:92
قَالَ He said qāla
He said
لَا No
No
تَثْرِيبَ blame tathrība
blame
عَلَيْكُمُ upon you ʿalaykumu
upon you
ٱلْيَوْمَ ۖ today l-yawma
today
يَغْفِرُ Allah will forgive yaghfiru
Allah will forgive
ٱللَّهُ Allah will forgive l-lahu
Allah will forgive
لَكُمْ ۖ you lakum
you
وَهُوَ and He wahuwa
and He
أَرْحَمُ (is) the Most Merciful arḥamu
(is) the Most Merciful
ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ (of) those who show mercy l-rāḥimīna
(of) those who show mercy
٩٢ (92)
(92)
Er sagte: Keine Schelte soll heute über euch kommen. Allah vergibt euch, Er ist ja der Barmherzigste der Barmherzigen.
12:93
ٱذْهَبُوا۟ Go idh'habū

بِقَمِيصِى with this shirt of mine biqamīṣī
with this shirt of mine
هَـٰذَا with this shirt of mine hādhā
with this shirt of mine
فَأَلْقُوهُ and cast it fa-alqūhu
and cast it
عَلَىٰ over ʿalā
over
وَجْهِ (the) face wajhi
(the) face
أَبِى (of) my father abī
(of) my father
يَأْتِ he will regain sight yati
he will regain sight
بَصِيرًۭا he will regain sight baṣīran
he will regain sight
وَأْتُونِى And bring to me watūnī
And bring to me
بِأَهْلِكُمْ your family bi-ahlikum
your family
أَجْمَعِينَ all together ajmaʿīna
all together
٩٣ (93)
(93)
Geht mit diesem meinem Hemd und legt es auf das Gesicht meines Vaters, so wird er sein Augenlicht (wieder)erlangen. Und bringt eure Angehörigen allesamt zu mir.
12:94
وَلَمَّا And when walammā

لَوْلَآ if not lawlā

تُفَنِّدُونِ you think me weakened in mind tufannidūni
you think me weakened in mind
٩٤ (94)

Als nun die Karawane aufgebrochen war, sagte ihr Vater: Wahrlich, ich nehme Yusufs Geruch war. Wenn ihr mich nur nicht bezichtigen würdet, Unsinn zu reden!
12:95
قَالُوا۟ They said qālū

تَٱللَّهِ By Allah tal-lahi
By Allah
إِنَّكَ indeed, you innaka
indeed, you
لَفِى surely (are) in lafī
surely (are) in
ضَلَـٰلِكَ your error ḍalālika
your error
ٱلْقَدِيمِ old l-qadīmi
old
٩٥ (95)

Sie sagten: Bei Allah, du befindest dich fürwahr in deinem alten Irrtum.
12:96
فَلَمَّآ Then when falammā

فَٱرْتَدَّ then returned (his) sight fa-ir'tadda

بَصِيرًۭا ۖ then returned (his) sight baṣīran

قَالَ He said qāla
He said
أَلَمْ Did not alam
Did not
أَقُل I say aqul
I say
لَّكُمْ to you lakum
to you
إِنِّىٓ indeed, I innī
indeed, I
أَعْلَمُ [I] know aʿlamu
[I] know
مِنَ from mina
from
ٱللَّهِ Allah l-lahi
Allah
مَا what

لَا not
not
تَعْلَمُونَ you know taʿlamūna
you know
٩٦ (96)

Als nun der Frohbote kam, legte er es auf sein Gesicht, und da hatte er sein Augenlicht wiedererlangt. Er sagte: Habe ich euch nicht gesagt, daß ich von Allah her weiß, was ihr nicht wißt?
12:97
قَالُوا۟ They said qālū
They said
يَـٰٓأَبَانَا O our father yāabānā
O our father
ٱسْتَغْفِرْ Ask forgiveness is'taghfir
Ask forgiveness
لَنَا for us lanā
for us
ذُنُوبَنَآ (of) our sins dhunūbanā
(of) our sins
إِنَّا Indeed, we innā
Indeed, we
كُنَّا have been kunnā
have been
خَـٰطِـِٔينَ sinners khāṭiīna
sinners
٩٧ (97)
(97)
Sie sagten: O unser Vater, bitte für uns um Vergebung unserer Sünden, denn wir haben gewiß Verfehlungen begangen.
12:98
قَالَ He said qāla

سَوْفَ Soon sawfa
Soon
أَسْتَغْفِرُ I will ask forgiveness astaghfiru
I will ask forgiveness
لَكُمْ for you lakum
for you
رَبِّىٓ ۖ (from) my Lord rabbī
(from) my Lord
إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, He innahu
Indeed, He
هُوَ He huwa
He
ٱلْغَفُورُ (is) the Oft-Forgiving l-ghafūru
(is) the Oft-Forgiving
ٱلرَّحِيمُ the Most Merciful l-raḥīmu
the Most Merciful
٩٨ (98)

Er sagte: Ich werde meinen Herrn um Vergebung für euch bitten. Er ist ja der Allvergebende und Barmherzige.
12:99
فَلَمَّا Then when falammā

ءَامِنِينَ safe āminīna

٩٩ (99)

Als sie nun bei Yusuf eintraten, zog er seine Eltern an sich und sagte: Betretet Ägypten, wenn Allah will, in Sicherheit.
12:100
وَرَفَعَ And he raised warafaʿa
And he raised
أَبَوَيْهِ his parents abawayhi
his parents
عَلَى upon ʿalā
upon
ٱلْعَرْشِ the throne l-ʿarshi
the throne
وَخَرُّوا۟ and they fell down wakharrū

لَهُۥ to him lahu

سُجَّدًۭا ۖ prostrate sujjadan

وَقَالَ And he said waqāla
And he said
يَـٰٓأَبَتِ O my father yāabati
O my father
هَـٰذَا This hādhā

تَأْوِيلُ (is the) interpretation tawīlu
(is the) interpretation
رُءْيَـٰىَ (of) my dream ru'yāya
(of) my dream
مِن (of) before min
(of) before
قَبْلُ (of) before qablu
(of) before
قَدْ Verily qad
Verily
جَعَلَهَا has made it jaʿalahā
has made it
رَبِّى my Lord rabbī
my Lord
حَقًّۭا ۖ true ḥaqqan
true
وَقَدْ And indeed waqad
And indeed
أَحْسَنَ He was good aḥsana
He was good
بِىٓ to me
to me
إِذْ when idh
when
أَخْرَجَنِى He took me out akhrajanī
He took me out
مِنَ of mina
of
ٱلسِّجْنِ the prison l-sij'ni
the prison
وَجَآءَ and brought wajāa
and brought
بِكُم you bikum
you
مِّنَ from mina
from
ٱلْبَدْوِ the bedouin life l-badwi
the bedouin life
مِنۢ after min
after
بَعْدِ after baʿdi
after
أَن [that] an
[that]
نَّزَغَ had caused discord nazagha
had caused discord
ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ the Shaitaan l-shayṭānu
the Shaitaan
بَيْنِى between me baynī
between me
وَبَيْنَ and between wabayna
and between
إِخْوَتِىٓ ۚ my brothers ikh'watī
my brothers
إِنَّ Indeed inna
Indeed
رَبِّى my Lord rabbī
my Lord
لَطِيفٌۭ (is) Most Subtle laṭīfun
(is) Most Subtle
لِّمَا to what limā
to what
يَشَآءُ ۚ He wills yashāu
He wills
إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, He innahu
Indeed, He
هُوَ He huwa
He
ٱلْعَلِيمُ (is) the All-Knower l-ʿalīmu
(is) the All-Knower
ٱلْحَكِيمُ the All-Wise l-ḥakīmu
the All-Wise
١٠٠ (100)
(100)
Und er hob seine Eltern auf den Thron empor. Und sie fielen vor ihm ehrerbietig nieder. Er sagte: O mein lieber Vater, das ist die Deutung meines (Traum)gesichts von zuvor. Mein Herr hat es wahrgemacht. Und Er hat mir Gutes erwiesen, als Er mich aus dem Gefängnis herauskommen ließ und euch aus dem nomadischen Leben hierherbrachte, nachdem der Satan zwischen mir und meinen Brüdern (zu Zwietracht) aufgestachelt hatte. Gewiß, mein Herr ist feinfühlig (in der Durchführung dessen), was Er will. Er ist ja der Allwissende und Allweise.
12:101
۞ رَبِّ My Lord rabbi

ءَاتَيْتَنِى you have given me ātaytanī

ٱلْمُلْكِ the sovereignty l-mul'ki
the sovereignty
وَعَلَّمْتَنِى and taught me waʿallamtanī

تَأْوِيلِ the interpretation tawīli
the interpretation
ٱلْأَحَادِيثِ ۚ of the events l-aḥādīthi
of the events
فَاطِرَ Creator fāṭira
Creator
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ (of) the heavens l-samāwāti
(of) the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth wal-arḍi
and the earth
أَنتَ You anta
You
وَلِىِّۦ (are) my Protector waliyyī
(are) my Protector
فِى in
in
ٱلدُّنْيَا the world l-dun'yā
the world
وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ ۖ and the Hereafter wal-ākhirati
and the Hereafter
تَوَفَّنِى Cause me to die tawaffanī
Cause me to die
مُسْلِمًۭا (as) a Muslim mus'liman
(as) a Muslim
وَأَلْحِقْنِى and join me wa-alḥiq'nī
and join me
بِٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ with the righteous bil-ṣāliḥīna
with the righteous
١٠١ (101)
(101)
Mein Herr, Du hast mir etwas von der Herrschaft gegeben und mich etwas von der Deutung der Sprüche gelehrt. (O Du) Erschaffer der Himmel und der Erde, Du bist mein Schutzherr im Diesseits und Jenseits. Berufe mich als (Dir) ergeben ab und nimm mich unter die Rechtschaffenen auf.
12:102
ذَٰلِكَ That dhālika
That
مِنْ (is) from min

أَنۢبَآءِ the news anbāi
the news
ٱلْغَيْبِ (of) the unseen l-ghaybi
(of) the unseen
نُوحِيهِ which We reveal nūḥīhi
which We reveal
إِلَيْكَ ۖ to you ilayka
to you
وَمَا And not wamā
And not
كُنتَ you were kunta
you were
لَدَيْهِمْ with them ladayhim
with them
إِذْ when idh
when
أَجْمَعُوٓا۟ they put together ajmaʿū
they put together
أَمْرَهُمْ their plan amrahum
their plan
وَهُمْ while they wahum
while they
يَمْكُرُونَ (were) plotting yamkurūna
(were) plotting
١٠٢ (102)
(102)
Dies gehört zu den Nachrichten vom Verborgenen, das Wir dir (als Offenbarung) eingeben. Denn du warst nicht bei ihnen, als sie sich einigten, indem sie Ränke schmiedeten.
12:103
وَمَآ And not wamā
And not
أَكْثَرُ most aktharu
most
ٱلنَّاسِ (of) the mankind l-nāsi
(of) the mankind
وَلَوْ even though walaw
even though
حَرَصْتَ you desire ḥaraṣta
you desire
بِمُؤْمِنِينَ (will be) believers bimu'minīna
(will be) believers
١٠٣ (103)

Aber die meisten Menschen werden, auch wenn du noch so sehr (danach) trachtest, nicht gläubig sein.
12:104
وَمَا And not wamā
And not
تَسْـَٔلُهُمْ you ask them tasaluhum
you ask them
عَلَيْهِ for it ʿalayhi
for it
مِنْ any min
any
أَجْرٍ ۚ reward ajrin
reward
إِنْ Not in
Not
هُوَ (is) it huwa
(is) it
إِلَّا but illā
but
ذِكْرٌۭ a reminder dhik'run
a reminder
لِّلْعَـٰلَمِينَ to the worlds lil'ʿālamīna
to the worlds
١٠٤ (104)

Und du verlangst von ihnen keinen Lohn dafür. Es ist nur eine Ermahnung für die Weltenbewohner.
12:105
وَكَأَيِّن And how many waka-ayyin
And how many
مِّنْ of min
of
ءَايَةٍۢ a Sign āyatin
a Sign
فِى in
in
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ the heavens l-samāwāti
the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth wal-arḍi
and the earth
يَمُرُّونَ they pass yamurrūna
they pass
عَلَيْهَا over it ʿalayhā
over it
وَهُمْ while they wahum
while they
عَنْهَا (are) from them ʿanhā
(are) from them
مُعْرِضُونَ the ones who turn away muʿ'riḍūna
the ones who turn away
١٠٥ (105)

Wie viele Zeichen gibt es in den Himmeln und auf der Erde, an denen sie vorbeigehen, wobei sie sie unbeachtet lassen!
12:106
وَمَا And not wamā
And not
يُؤْمِنُ believe yu'minu
believe
أَكْثَرُهُم most of them aktharuhum
most of them
بِٱللَّهِ in Allah bil-lahi
in Allah
إِلَّا except illā
except
وَهُم while they wahum
while they
مُّشْرِكُونَ associate partners with Him mush'rikūna
associate partners with Him
١٠٦ (106)

Und die meisten von ihnen glauben nicht an Allah, ohne (Ihm andere) beizugesellen.
12:107
أَفَأَمِنُوٓا۟ Do they then feel secure afa-aminū

تَأْتِيَهُمْ comes to them tatiyahum

غَـٰشِيَةٌۭ an overwhelming ghāshiyatun

تَأْتِيَهُمُ comes to them tatiyahumu

ٱلسَّاعَةُ the Hour l-sāʿatu
the Hour
بَغْتَةًۭ suddenly baghtatan
suddenly
وَهُمْ while they wahum
while they
لَا (do) not
(do) not
يَشْعُرُونَ perceive yashʿurūna
perceive
١٠٧ (107)

Glauben sie denn, sicher zu sein davor, daß eine überdeckende Strafe von Allah über sie kommt oder daß plötzlich die Stunde über sie kommt, ohne daß sie merken?
12:108
قُلْ Say qul

هَـٰذِهِۦ This hādhihi

سَبِيلِىٓ (is) my way sabīlī

أَدْعُوٓا۟ I invite adʿū

إِلَى to ilā

ٱللَّهِ ۚ Allah l-lahi

بَصِيرَةٍ insight baṣīratin

أَنَا۠ I anā

وَمَنِ and whoever wamani
and whoever
ٱتَّبَعَنِى ۖ follows me ittabaʿanī

وَسُبْحَـٰنَ And Glory be wasub'ḥāna

Sag: Das ist mein Weg: Ich rufe zu Allah aufgrund eines sichtbaren Hinweises, ich und diejenigen, die mir folgen. Preis sei Allah! Und ich gehöre nicht zu den Götzendienern.
12:109

نُّوحِىٓ We revealed nūḥī

أَهْلِ (the) people ahli

ٱلْقُرَىٰٓ ۗ (of) the townships l-qurā
(of) the townships
أَفَلَمْ So have not afalam
So have not
يَسِيرُوا۟ they traveled yasīrū
they traveled
فِى in
in
ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth l-arḍi
the earth
فَيَنظُرُوا۟ and seen fayanẓurū
and seen
كَيْفَ how kayfa
how
كَانَ was kāna
was
عَـٰقِبَةُ (the) end ʿāqibatu
(the) end
ٱلَّذِينَ (of) those who alladhīna
(of) those who
مِن (were) before them min
(were) before them
قَبْلِهِمْ ۗ (were) before them qablihim
(were) before them
وَلَدَارُ And surely the home waladāru
And surely the home
ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ (of) the Hereafter l-ākhirati
(of) the Hereafter
خَيْرٌۭ (is) best khayrun
(is) best
لِّلَّذِينَ for those who lilladhīna
for those who
ٱتَّقَوْا۟ ۗ fear Allah ittaqaw
fear Allah
أَفَلَا Then will not afalā
Then will not
تَعْقِلُونَ you use reason taʿqilūna
you use reason

Und Wir haben vor dir nur Männer gesandt von den Bewohnern der Städte, denen Wir (Offenbarungen) eingaben. Sind sie denn nicht auf der Erde umhergereist, so daß sie schauen (konnten), wie das Ende derjenigen war, die vor ihnen waren? Die Wohnstätte des Jenseits ist wahrlich besser für diejenigen, die gottesfürchtig sind. Begreift ihr denn nicht?
12:110
حَتَّىٰٓ Until ḥattā

جَآءَهُمْ then came to them jāahum

نَصْرُنَا Our help naṣrunā

فَنُجِّىَ and was saved fanujjiya

مَن whom man
whom
نَّشَآءُ ۖ We willed nashāu
We willed
وَلَا And not walā
And not
يُرَدُّ (can) be repelled yuraddu
(can) be repelled
بَأْسُنَا Our punishment basunā
Our punishment
عَنِ from ʿani
from
ٱلْقَوْمِ the people l-qawmi
the people
ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ (who are) criminals l-muj'rimīna
(who are) criminals

Erst dann, als die Gesandten die Hoffnung aufgegeben hatten und sie meinten, daß sie belogen worden seien, kam Unsere Hilfe zu ihnen. Und so wird errettet, wen Wir wollen. Aber vom übeltätigen Volk wird Unsere Gewalt nicht abgewandt.

بَيْنَ (was) before it bayna

يَدَيْهِ (was) before it yadayhi

وَتَفْصِيلَ and a detailed explanation watafṣīla
and a detailed explanation
كُلِّ (of) all kulli
(of) all
شَىْءٍۢ things shayin
things
وَهُدًۭى and a guidance wahudan
and a guidance
وَرَحْمَةًۭ and mercy waraḥmatan
and mercy
لِّقَوْمٍۢ for a people liqawmin
for a people
يُؤْمِنُونَ who believe yu'minūna
who believe

In ihren Geschichten ist wahrlich eine Lehre für diejenigen, die Verstand besitzen. Es ist keine Aussage, die ersonnen wird, sondern die Bestätigung dessen, was vor ihm war, und die ausführliche Darlegung aller Dinge und eine Rechtleitung und Barmherzigkeit für Leute, die glauben.
