In (the) name ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah l-lahi
(of) Allah ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ the Most Gracious l-raḥmāni
the Most Gracious ٱلرَّحِيمِ the Most Merciful l-raḥīmi

Dengan nama Allah Yang Maha Pemurah, Maha Penyayang
101:1
ٱلْقَارِعَةُ
The Striking Calamity

Hari yang menggemparkan,
101:2
مَا
What
mā
What ٱلْقَارِعَةُ (is) the Striking Calamity l-qāriʿatu
(is) the Striking Calamity ٢ (2)

What ٱلْقَارِعَةُ (is) the Striking Calamity l-qāriʿatu
(is) the Striking Calamity ٢ (2)

Apa dia hari yang menggemparkan itu?
101:3
وَمَآ
And what
wamā
And what أَدْرَىٰكَ will make you know adrāka
will make you know مَا what mā
what ٱلْقَارِعَةُ (is) the Striking Calamity l-qāriʿatu
(is) the Striking Calamity ٣ (3)

And what أَدْرَىٰكَ will make you know adrāka
will make you know مَا what mā
what ٱلْقَارِعَةُ (is) the Striking Calamity l-qāriʿatu

Dan apa jalannya engkau dapat mengetahui kedahsyatan hari yang menggemparkan itu? -
101:4
يَوْمَ
(The) Day
yawma
(The) Day يَكُونُ will be yakūnu
will be ٱلنَّاسُ the mankind l-nāsu
the mankind كَٱلْفَرَاشِ like moths kal-farāshi
like moths ٱلْمَبْثُوثِ scattered l-mabthūthi
scattered ٤ (4)

(The) Day يَكُونُ will be yakūnu
will be ٱلنَّاسُ the mankind l-nāsu
the mankind كَٱلْفَرَاشِ like moths kal-farāshi
like moths ٱلْمَبْثُوثِ scattered l-mabthūthi

(4)
(Hari itu ialah: hari kiamat), hari manusia menjadi seperti kelkatu yang terbang berkeliaran,
101:5
وَتَكُونُ
And will be
watakūnu
And will be ٱلْجِبَالُ the mountains l-jibālu
the mountains كَٱلْعِهْنِ like wool kal-ʿih'ni
like wool ٱلْمَنفُوشِ fluffed up l-manfūshi
fluffed up ٥ (5)

And will be ٱلْجِبَالُ the mountains l-jibālu
the mountains كَٱلْعِهْنِ like wool kal-ʿih'ni
like wool ٱلْمَنفُوشِ fluffed up l-manfūshi
fluffed up ٥ (5)

Dan gunung-ganang menjadi seperti bulu yang dibusar berterbangan.
101:6
فَأَمَّا
Then as for
fa-ammā
Then as for مَن (him) whose man
(him) whose ثَقُلَتْ (are) heavy thaqulat
(are) heavy مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ his scales mawāzīnuhu
his scales ٦ (6)

Then as for مَن (him) whose man
(him) whose ثَقُلَتْ (are) heavy thaqulat
(are) heavy مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ his scales mawāzīnuhu
his scales ٦ (6)

Setelah berlaku demikian, maka (manusia akan diberikan tempatnya menurut amal masing-masing); adapun orang yang berat timbangan amal baiknya, -
101:7
فَهُوَ
Then he

Then he فِى (will be) in fī
(will be) in عِيشَةٍۢ a life ʿīshatin
a life رَّاضِيَةٍۢ pleasant rāḍiyatin
pleasant ٧ (7)

Then he فِى (will be) in fī
(will be) in عِيشَةٍۢ a life ʿīshatin
a life رَّاضِيَةٍۢ pleasant rāḍiyatin

Maka ia berada dalam kehidupan yang senang lenang.
101:8
وَأَمَّا
But as for
wa-ammā
But as for مَنْ (him) whose man
(him) whose خَفَّتْ (are) light khaffat
(are) light مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ his scales mawāzīnuhu
his scales ٨ (8)

But as for مَنْ (him) whose man
(him) whose خَفَّتْ (are) light khaffat
(are) light مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ his scales mawāzīnuhu

Sebaliknya orang yang ringan timbangan amal baiknya, -
101:9
فَأُمُّهُۥ
His abode
fa-ummuhu
His abode هَاوِيَةٌۭ (will be the) Pit hāwiyatun
(will be the) Pit ٩ (9)

His abode هَاوِيَةٌۭ (will be the) Pit hāwiyatun
(will be the) Pit ٩ (9)
(9)
Maka tempat kembalinya ialah "Haawiyah"
101:10
وَمَآ
And what
wamā
And what أَدْرَىٰكَ will make you know adrāka
will make you know مَا what mā
what هِيَهْ it is hiyah
it is ١٠ (10)

And what أَدْرَىٰكَ will make you know adrāka
will make you know مَا what mā
what هِيَهْ it is hiyah
it is ١٠ (10)

Dan apa jalannya engkau dapat mengetahui, apa dia "Haawiyah" itu?
101:11
نَارٌ
A Fire

A Fire حَامِيَةٌۢ intensely hot ḥāmiyatun

(Haawiyah itu ialah): api yang panas membakar.
