بسملة

بِسْمِ In (the) name ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ the Most Gracious ٱلرَّحِيمِ the Most Merciful

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

٣٢:١

الٓمٓ Alif Lam Meem ١ (1)

Alif, Lām, Meem.

٣٢:٢

تَنزِيلُ (The) revelation ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ (of) the Book لَا (there is) no رَيْبَ doubt فِيهِ about it مِن from رَّبِّ (the) Lord ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ (of) the worlds ٢ (2)

[This is] the revelation of the Book about which there is no doubt from the Lord of the worlds.

٣٢:٣

أَمْ Or يَقُولُونَ (do) they say ٱفْتَرَىٰهُ ۚ He invented it بَلْ Nay هُوَ it ٱلْحَقُّ (is) the truth مِن from رَّبِّكَ your Lord لِتُنذِرَ that you may warn قَوْمًۭا a people مَّآ not أَتَىٰهُم has come to them مِّن any نَّذِيرٍۢ warner مِّن before you قَبْلِكَ before you لَعَلَّهُمْ so that they may يَهْتَدُونَ be guided ٣ (3)

Or do they say, "He invented it"? Rather, it is the truth from your Lord, [O Muḥammad], that you may warn a people to whom no warner has come before you [so] perhaps they will be guided.

٣٢:٤

ٱللَّهُ Allah ٱلَّذِى (is) the One Who خَلَقَ created ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضَ and the earth وَمَا and whatever بَيْنَهُمَا (is) between them فِى in سِتَّةِ six أَيَّامٍۢ periods ثُمَّ Then ٱسْتَوَىٰ established Himself عَلَى on ٱلْعَرْشِ ۖ the Throne مَا Not لَكُم for you مِّن besides Him دُونِهِۦ besides Him مِن any وَلِىٍّۢ protector وَلَا and not شَفِيعٍ ۚ any intercessor أَفَلَا Then will not تَتَذَكَّرُونَ you take heed ٤ (4)

It is Allāh who created the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them in six days; then He established Himself above the Throne. You have not besides Him any protector or any intercessor; so will you not be reminded?

٣٢:٥

يُدَبِّرُ He regulates ٱلْأَمْرَ the affair مِنَ of ٱلسَّمَآءِ the heaven إِلَى to ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth ثُمَّ then يَعْرُجُ it will ascend إِلَيْهِ to Him فِى in يَوْمٍۢ a Day كَانَ (the) measure of which is مِقْدَارُهُۥٓ (the) measure of which is أَلْفَ a thousand سَنَةٍۢ years مِّمَّا of what تَعُدُّونَ you count ٥ (5)

He arranges [each] matter from the heaven to the earth; then it will ascend to Him in a Day, the extent of which is a thousand years of those which you count.

٣٢:٦

ذَٰلِكَ That عَـٰلِمُ (is the) Knower ٱلْغَيْبِ (of) the hidden وَٱلشَّهَـٰدَةِ and the witnessed ٱلْعَزِيزُ the All-Mighty ٱلرَّحِيمُ the Most Merciful ٦ (6)

That is the Knower of the unseen and the witnessed, the Exalted in Might, the Merciful,

٣٢:٧

ٱلَّذِىٓ The One Who أَحْسَنَ made good كُلَّ every شَىْءٍ thing خَلَقَهُۥ ۖ He created وَبَدَأَ and He began خَلْقَ (the) creation ٱلْإِنسَـٰنِ (of) man مِن from طِينٍۢ clay ٧ (7)

Who perfected everything which He created and began the creation of man from clay.

٣٢:٨

ثُمَّ Then جَعَلَ He made نَسْلَهُۥ his progeny مِن from سُلَـٰلَةٍۢ an extract مِّن of مَّآءٍۢ water مَّهِينٍۢ despised ٨ (8)

Then He made his posterity out of the extract of a liquid disdained.

٣٢:٩

ثُمَّ Then سَوَّىٰهُ He fashioned him وَنَفَخَ and breathed فِيهِ into him مِن from رُّوحِهِۦ ۖ His spirit وَجَعَلَ and made لَكُمُ for you ٱلسَّمْعَ the hearing وَٱلْأَبْصَـٰرَ and the sight وَٱلْأَفْـِٔدَةَ ۚ and feelings قَلِيلًۭا little مَّا [what] تَشْكُرُونَ thanks you give ٩ (9)

Then He proportioned him and breathed into him from His [created] soul and made for you hearing and vision and hearts [i.e., intellect]; little are you grateful.

٣٢:١٠

وَقَالُوٓا۟ And they say أَءِذَا Is (it) when ضَلَلْنَا we are lost فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth أَءِنَّا will we لَفِى certainly be in خَلْقٍۢ a creation جَدِيدٍۭ ۚ new بَلْ Nay هُم they بِلِقَآءِ in (the) meeting رَبِّهِمْ (of) their Lord كَـٰفِرُونَ (are) disbelievers ١٠ (10)

And they say, "When we are lost [i.e., disintegrated] within the earth, will we indeed be [recreated] in a new creation?" Rather, they are, in the meeting with their Lord, disbelievers.

٣٢:١١

۞ قُلْ Say يَتَوَفَّىٰكُم Will take your soul مَّلَكُ (the) Angel ٱلْمَوْتِ (of) the death ٱلَّذِى the one who وُكِّلَ has been put in charge بِكُمْ of you ثُمَّ Then إِلَىٰ to رَبِّكُمْ your Lord تُرْجَعُونَ you will be returned ١١ (11)

Say, "The angel of death who has been entrusted with you will take you. Then to your Lord you will be returned."

٣٢:١٢

وَلَوْ And if تَرَىٰٓ you (could) see إِذِ when ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ the criminals نَاكِسُوا۟ (will) hang رُءُوسِهِمْ their heads عِندَ before رَبِّهِمْ their Lord رَبَّنَآ Our Lord أَبْصَرْنَا we have seen وَسَمِعْنَا and we have heard فَٱرْجِعْنَا so return us نَعْمَلْ we will do صَـٰلِحًا righteous (deeds) إِنَّا Indeed, we مُوقِنُونَ (are now) certain ١٢ (12)

If you could but see when the criminals are hanging their heads before their Lord, [saying], "Our Lord, we have seen and heard, so return us [to the world]; we will work righteousness. Indeed, we are [now] certain."

٣٢:١٣

وَلَوْ And if شِئْنَا We (had) willed لَـَٔاتَيْنَا surely We (would) have given كُلَّ every نَفْسٍ soul هُدَىٰهَا its guidance وَلَـٰكِنْ but حَقَّ (is) true ٱلْقَوْلُ the Word مِنِّى from Me لَأَمْلَأَنَّ that I will surely fill جَهَنَّمَ Hell مِنَ with ٱلْجِنَّةِ the jinn وَٱلنَّاسِ and the men أَجْمَعِينَ together ١٣ (13)

And if We had willed, We could have given every soul its guidance, but the word from Me will come into effect [that] "I will surely fill Hell with jinn and people all together.

٣٢:١٤

فَذُوقُوا۟ So taste بِمَا because نَسِيتُمْ you forgot لِقَآءَ (the) meeting يَوْمِكُمْ (of) this Day of yours هَـٰذَآ (of) this Day of yours إِنَّا Indeed, We نَسِينَـٰكُمْ ۖ have forgotten you وَذُوقُوا۟ And taste عَذَابَ (the) punishment ٱلْخُلْدِ (of) eternity بِمَا for what كُنتُمْ you used (to) تَعْمَلُونَ do ١٤ (14)

So taste [punishment] because you forgot the meeting of this, your Day; indeed, We have [accordingly] forgotten you. And taste the punishment of eternity for what you used to do."

٣٢:١٥

إِنَّمَا Only يُؤْمِنُ believe بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا in Our Verses ٱلَّذِينَ those who إِذَا when ذُكِّرُوا۟ they are reminded بِهَا of them خَرُّوا۟ fall down سُجَّدًۭا prostrating وَسَبَّحُوا۟ and glorify بِحَمْدِ (the) praises رَبِّهِمْ (of) their Lord وَهُمْ and they لَا are not arrogant يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ ۩ are not arrogant ١٥ (15)

Only those believe in Our verses who, when they are reminded by them, fall down in prostration and exalt [Allāh] with praise of their Lord, and they are not arrogant.

٣٢:١٦

تَتَجَافَىٰ Forsake جُنُوبُهُمْ their sides عَنِ from ٱلْمَضَاجِعِ (their) beds يَدْعُونَ they call رَبَّهُمْ their Lord خَوْفًۭا (in) fear وَطَمَعًۭا and hope وَمِمَّا and out of what رَزَقْنَـٰهُمْ We have provided them يُنفِقُونَ they spend ١٦ (16)

Their sides part [i.e., they arise] from [their] beds; they supplicate their Lord in fear and aspiration, and from what We have provided them, they spend.

٣٢:١٧

فَلَا And not تَعْلَمُ knows نَفْسٌۭ a soul مَّآ what أُخْفِىَ is hidden لَهُم for them مِّن of قُرَّةِ (the) comfort أَعْيُنٍۢ (for) the eyes جَزَآءًۢ (as) a reward بِمَا for what كَانُوا۟ they used (to) يَعْمَلُونَ do ١٧ (17)

And no soul knows what has been hidden for them of comfort for eyes [i.e., satisfaction] as reward for what they used to do.

٣٢:١٨

أَفَمَن Then is one who كَانَ is مُؤْمِنًۭا a believer كَمَن like (him) who كَانَ is فَاسِقًۭا ۚ defiantly disobedient لَّا Not يَسْتَوُۥنَ they are equal ١٨ (18)

Then is one who was a believer like one who was defiantly disobedient? They are not equal.

٣٢:١٩

أَمَّا As for ٱلَّذِينَ those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believe وَعَمِلُوا۟ and do ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ righteous deeds فَلَهُمْ then for them جَنَّـٰتُ (are) Gardens ٱلْمَأْوَىٰ (of) Refuge نُزُلًۢا (as) hospitality بِمَا for what كَانُوا۟ they used (to) يَعْمَلُونَ do ١٩ (19)

As for those who believed and did righteous deeds, for them will be the Gardens of Refuge as accommodation for what they used to do.

٣٢:٢٠

وَأَمَّا But as for ٱلَّذِينَ those who فَسَقُوا۟ are defiantly disobedient فَمَأْوَىٰهُمُ then their refuge ٱلنَّارُ ۖ (is) the Fire كُلَّمَآ Every time أَرَادُوٓا۟ they wish أَن to يَخْرُجُوا۟ come out مِنْهَآ from it أُعِيدُوا۟ they (will) be returned فِيهَا in it وَقِيلَ and it (will) be said لَهُمْ to them ذُوقُوا۟ Taste عَذَابَ (the) punishment ٱلنَّارِ (of) the Fire ٱلَّذِى which كُنتُم you used (to) بِهِۦ [in it] تُكَذِّبُونَ deny ٢٠ (20)

But as for those who defiantly disobeyed, their refuge is the Fire. Every time they wish to emerge from it, they will be returned to it while it is said to them, "Taste the punishment of the Fire which you used to deny."

٣٢:٢١

وَلَنُذِيقَنَّهُم And surely, We will let them taste مِّنَ of ٱلْعَذَابِ the punishment ٱلْأَدْنَىٰ the nearer دُونَ before ٱلْعَذَابِ the punishment ٱلْأَكْبَرِ the greater لَعَلَّهُمْ so that they may يَرْجِعُونَ return ٢١ (21)

And We will surely let them taste the nearer punishment short of the greater punishment that perhaps they will return [i.e., repent].

٣٢:٢٢

وَمَنْ And who أَظْلَمُ (is) more unjust مِمَّن than (he) who ذُكِّرَ is reminded بِـَٔايَـٰتِ of (the) Verses رَبِّهِۦ (of) his Lord ثُمَّ then أَعْرَضَ he turns away عَنْهَآ ۚ from them إِنَّا Indeed, We مِنَ from ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ the criminals مُنتَقِمُونَ (will) take retribution ٢٢ (22)

And who is more unjust than one who is reminded of the verses of his Lord; then he turns away from them? Indeed We, from the criminals, will take retribution.

٣٢:٢٣

وَلَقَدْ And certainly ءَاتَيْنَا We gave مُوسَى Musa ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ the Scripture فَلَا so (do) not تَكُن be فِى in مِرْيَةٍۢ doubt مِّن about لِّقَآئِهِۦ ۖ receiving it وَجَعَلْنَـٰهُ And We made it هُدًۭى a guide لِّبَنِىٓ for the Children of Israel إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ for the Children of Israel ٢٣ (23)

And We certainly gave Moses the Scripture, so do not be in doubt over his meeting. And We made it [i.e., the Torah] guidance for the Children of Israel.

٣٢:٢٤

وَجَعَلْنَا And We made مِنْهُمْ from them أَئِمَّةًۭ leaders يَهْدُونَ guiding بِأَمْرِنَا by Our Command لَمَّا when صَبَرُوا۟ ۖ they were patient وَكَانُوا۟ and they were بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا of Our Verses يُوقِنُونَ certain ٢٤ (24)

And We made from among them leaders guiding by Our command when they were patient and [when] they were certain of Our signs.

٣٢:٢٥

إِنَّ Indeed رَبَّكَ your Lord هُوَ [He] يَفْصِلُ will judge بَيْنَهُمْ between them يَوْمَ (on the) Day ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ (of) Resurrection فِيمَا in what كَانُوا۟ they used (to) فِيهِ [in it] يَخْتَلِفُونَ differ ٢٥ (25)

Indeed, your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that over which they used to differ.

٣٢:٢٦

أَوَلَمْ Does it not يَهْدِ guide لَهُمْ [for] them كَمْ (that) how many أَهْلَكْنَا We have destroyed مِن before them قَبْلِهِم before them مِّنَ of ٱلْقُرُونِ the generations يَمْشُونَ they walk about فِى in مَسَـٰكِنِهِمْ ۚ their dwellings إِنَّ Indeed فِى in ذَٰلِكَ that لَـَٔايَـٰتٍ ۖ surely, are Signs أَفَلَا Then do not يَسْمَعُونَ they hear ٢٦ (26)

Has it not become clear to them how many generations We destroyed before them, [as] they walk among their dwellings? Indeed in that are signs; then do they not hear?

٣٢:٢٧

أَوَلَمْ Do not يَرَوْا۟ they see أَنَّا that We نَسُوقُ drive ٱلْمَآءَ water إِلَى to ٱلْأَرْضِ the land ٱلْجُرُزِ [the] barren فَنُخْرِجُ then We bring forth بِهِۦ thereby زَرْعًۭا crops تَأْكُلُ eat مِنْهُ from it أَنْعَـٰمُهُمْ their cattle وَأَنفُسُهُمْ ۖ and they themselves أَفَلَا Then do not يُبْصِرُونَ they see ٢٧ (27)

Have they not seen that We drive water [in clouds] to barren land and bring forth thereby crops from which their livestock eat and [they] themselves? Then do they not see?

٣٢:٢٨

وَيَقُولُونَ And they say مَتَىٰ When (will be) هَـٰذَا this ٱلْفَتْحُ decision إِن if كُنتُمْ you are صَـٰدِقِينَ truthful ٢٨ (28)

And they say, "When will be this conquest, if you should be truthful?"

٣٢:٢٩

قُلْ Say يَوْمَ (On the) Day ٱلْفَتْحِ (of) the Decision لَا not يَنفَعُ will benefit ٱلَّذِينَ those who كَفَرُوٓا۟ disbelieve إِيمَـٰنُهُمْ their belief وَلَا and not هُمْ they يُنظَرُونَ will be granted respite ٢٩ (29)

Say, [O Muḥammad], "On the Day of Conquest the belief of those who had disbelieved will not benefit them, nor will they be reprieved."

٣٢:٣٠

فَأَعْرِضْ So turn away عَنْهُمْ from them وَٱنتَظِرْ and wait إِنَّهُم Indeed, they مُّنتَظِرُونَ (are) waiting ٣٠ (30)

So turn away from them and wait. Indeed, they are waiting.
