In (the) name ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah l-lahi
(of) Allah ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ the Most Gracious l-raḥmāni
the Most Gracious ٱلرَّحِيمِ the Most Merciful l-raḥīmi
the Most Merciful
In (the) name ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah l-lahi
(of) Allah ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ the Most Gracious l-raḥmāni
the Most Gracious ٱلرَّحِيمِ the Most Merciful l-raḥīmi
the Most Merciful
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
105:1
أَلَمْ
Have not
alam
Have not تَرَ you seen tara
you seen كَيْفَ how kayfa
how فَعَلَ dealt faʿala
dealt رَبُّكَ your Lord rabbuka
your Lord بِأَصْحَـٰبِ with (the) Companions bi-aṣḥābi
with (the) Companions ٱلْفِيلِ (of the) Elephant l-fīli
(of the) Elephant ١ (1)

Have not تَرَ you seen tara
you seen كَيْفَ how kayfa
how فَعَلَ dealt faʿala
dealt رَبُّكَ your Lord rabbuka
your Lord بِأَصْحَـٰبِ with (the) Companions bi-aṣḥābi
with (the) Companions ٱلْفِيلِ (of the) Elephant l-fīli
(of the) Elephant ١ (1)

Have you not considered, [O Muḥammad], how your Lord dealt with the companions of the elephant?
105:2
أَلَمْ
Did not

Did not يَجْعَلْ He make yajʿal
He make كَيْدَهُمْ their plan kaydahum
their plan فِى go fī
go تَضْلِيلٍۢ astray taḍlīlin
astray ٢ (2)

Did not يَجْعَلْ He make yajʿal
He make كَيْدَهُمْ their plan kaydahum
their plan فِى go fī
go تَضْلِيلٍۢ astray taḍlīlin
astray ٢ (2)

Did He not make their plan into misguidance?
105:3
وَأَرْسَلَ
And He sent
wa-arsala
And He sent عَلَيْهِمْ against them ʿalayhim
against them طَيْرًا birds ṭayran
birds أَبَابِيلَ (in) flocks abābīla
(in) flocks ٣ (3)

And He sent عَلَيْهِمْ against them ʿalayhim
against them طَيْرًا birds ṭayran
birds أَبَابِيلَ (in) flocks abābīla
(in) flocks ٣ (3)

And He sent against them birds in flocks,
105:4
تَرْمِيهِم
Striking them
tarmīhim
Striking them بِحِجَارَةٍۢ with stones biḥijāratin
with stones مِّن of min
of سِجِّيلٍۢ baked clay sijjīlin
baked clay ٤ (4)

Striking them بِحِجَارَةٍۢ with stones biḥijāratin
with stones مِّن of min
of سِجِّيلٍۢ baked clay sijjīlin
baked clay ٤ (4)

Striking them with stones of hard clay,
105:5
فَجَعَلَهُمْ
Then He made them
fajaʿalahum
Then He made them كَعَصْفٍۢ like straw kaʿaṣfin
like straw مَّأْكُولٍۭ eaten up makūlin
eaten up ٥ (5)
(5)
Then He made them كَعَصْفٍۢ like straw kaʿaṣfin
like straw مَّأْكُولٍۭ eaten up makūlin
eaten up ٥ (5)
(5)
And He made them like eaten straw.
