بِسْمِ In (the) name bis'mi
In (the) name
ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah l-lahi
(of) Allah
ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ the Most Gracious l-raḥmāni
the Most Gracious
ٱلرَّحِيمِ the Most Merciful l-raḥīmi
the Most Merciful
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
45:1
حمٓ Ha Meem hha-meem
Ha Meem
١ (1)
(1)
Ḥā, Meem.
45:2
تَنزِيلُ (The) revelation tanzīlu
(The) revelation
ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ (of) the Book l-kitābi
(of) the Book
مِنَ (is) from mina
(is) from
ٱللَّهِ Allah l-lahi
Allah
ٱلْعَزِيزِ the All-Mighty l-ʿazīzi
the All-Mighty
ٱلْحَكِيمِ the All-Wise l-ḥakīmi
the All-Wise
٢ (2)
(2)
The revelation of the Book is from Allāh, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
45:3
إِنَّ Indeed inna
Indeed
فِى in
in
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ the heavens l-samāwāti
the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضِ and the earth wal-arḍi
and the earth
لَـَٔايَـٰتٍۢ surely (are) Signs laāyātin
surely (are) Signs
لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ for the believers lil'mu'minīna
for the believers
٣ (3)
(3)
Indeed, within the heavens and earth are signs for the believers.
45:4
وَفِى And in wafī
And in
خَلْقِكُمْ your creation khalqikum
your creation
وَمَا and what wamā
and what
يَبُثُّ He disperses yabuthu
He disperses
مِن of min
of
دَآبَّةٍ (the) moving creatures dābbatin
(the) moving creatures
ءَايَـٰتٌۭ (are) Signs āyātun
(are) Signs
لِّقَوْمٍۢ for a people liqawmin
for a people
يُوقِنُونَ who are certain yūqinūna
who are certain
٤ (4)
(4)
And in the creation of yourselves and what He disperses of moving creatures are signs for people who are certain [in faith].
45:5
وَٱخْتِلَـٰفِ And (in the) alternation wa-ikh'tilāfi
And (in the) alternation
ٱلَّيْلِ (of) the night al-layli
(of) the night
وَٱلنَّهَارِ and the day wal-nahāri
and the day
وَمَآ and what wamā
and what
أَنزَلَ Allah sends down anzala
Allah sends down
ٱللَّهُ Allah sends down l-lahu
Allah sends down
مِنَ from mina
from
ٱلسَّمَآءِ the sky l-samāi
the sky
مِن of min
of
رِّزْقٍۢ (the) provision riz'qin
(the) provision
فَأَحْيَا and gives life fa-aḥyā
and gives life
بِهِ thereby bihi
thereby
ٱلْأَرْضَ (to) the earth l-arḍa
(to) the earth
بَعْدَ after baʿda
after
مَوْتِهَا its death mawtihā
its death
وَتَصْرِيفِ and (in) directing wataṣrīfi
and (in) directing
ٱلرِّيَـٰحِ (the) winds l-riyāḥi
(the) winds
ءَايَـٰتٌۭ (are) Signs āyātun
(are) Signs
لِّقَوْمٍۢ for a people liqawmin
for a people
يَعْقِلُونَ who reason yaʿqilūna
who reason
٥ (5)
(5)
And [in] the alternation of night and day and [in] what Allāh sends down from the sky of provision [i.e., rain] and gives life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness and [in His] directing of the winds are signs for a people who reason.
45:6
تِلْكَ These til'ka
These
ءَايَـٰتُ (are the) Verses āyātu
(are the) Verses
ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah l-lahi
(of) Allah
نَتْلُوهَا We recite them natlūhā
We recite them
عَلَيْكَ to you ʿalayka
to you
بِٱلْحَقِّ ۖ in truth bil-ḥaqi
in truth
فَبِأَىِّ Then in what fabi-ayyi
Then in what
حَدِيثٍۭ statement ḥadīthin
statement
بَعْدَ after baʿda
after
ٱللَّهِ Allah l-lahi
Allah
وَءَايَـٰتِهِۦ and His Verses waāyātihi
and His Verses
يُؤْمِنُونَ will they believe yu'minūna
will they believe
٦ (6)
(6)
These are the verses of Allāh which We recite to you in truth. Then in what statement after Allāh and His verses will they believe?
45:7
وَيْلٌۭ Woe waylun
Woe
لِّكُلِّ to every likulli
to every
أَفَّاكٍ liar affākin
liar
أَثِيمٍۢ sinful athīmin
sinful
٧ (7)
(7)
Woe to every sinful liar
45:8
يَسْمَعُ Who hears yasmaʿu
Who hears
ءَايَـٰتِ (the) Verses āyāti
(the) Verses
ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah l-lahi
(of) Allah
تُتْلَىٰ recited tut'lā
recited
عَلَيْهِ to him ʿalayhi
to him
ثُمَّ then thumma
then
يُصِرُّ persists yuṣirru
persists
مُسْتَكْبِرًۭا arrogantly mus'takbiran
arrogantly
كَأَن as if ka-an
as if
لَّمْ not lam
not
يَسْمَعْهَا ۖ he heard them yasmaʿhā
he heard them
فَبَشِّرْهُ So give him tidings fabashir'hu
So give him tidings
بِعَذَابٍ (of) a punishment biʿadhābin
(of) a punishment
أَلِيمٍۢ painful alīmin
painful
٨ (8)
(8)
Who hears the verses of Allāh recited to him, then persists arrogantly as if he had not heard them. So give him tidings of a painful punishment.
45:9
وَإِذَا And when wa-idhā
And when
عَلِمَ he knows ʿalima
he knows
مِنْ of min
of
ءَايَـٰتِنَا Our Verses āyātinā
Our Verses
شَيْـًٔا anything shayan
anything
ٱتَّخَذَهَا he takes them ittakhadhahā
he takes them
هُزُوًا ۚ (in) ridicule huzuwan
(in) ridicule
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ Those ulāika
Those
لَهُمْ for them lahum
for them
عَذَابٌۭ (is) a punishment ʿadhābun
(is) a punishment
مُّهِينٌۭ humiliating muhīnun
humiliating
٩ (9)
(9)
And when he knows anything of Our verses, he takes them in ridicule. Those will have a humiliating punishment.
45:10
مِّن Before them min
Before them
وَرَآئِهِمْ Before them warāihim
Before them
جَهَنَّمُ ۖ (is) Hell jahannamu
(is) Hell
وَلَا and not walā
and not
يُغْنِى will avail yugh'nī
will avail
عَنْهُم them ʿanhum
them
مَّا what
what
كَسَبُوا۟ they had earned kasabū
they had earned
شَيْـًۭٔا anything shayan
anything
وَلَا and not walā
and not
مَا what
what
ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ they had taken ittakhadhū
they had taken
مِن besides min
besides
دُونِ besides dūni
besides
ٱللَّهِ Allah l-lahi
Allah
أَوْلِيَآءَ ۖ (as) protectors awliyāa
(as) protectors
وَلَهُمْ And for them walahum
And for them
عَذَابٌ (is) a punishment ʿadhābun
(is) a punishment
عَظِيمٌ great ʿaẓīmun
great
١٠ (10)
(10)
Before them is Hell, and what they had earned will not avail them at all nor what they had taken besides Allāh as allies. And they will have a great punishment.
45:11
هَـٰذَا This hādhā
This
هُدًۭى ۖ (is) guidance hudan
(is) guidance
وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who wa-alladhīna
And those who
كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieve kafarū
disbelieve
بِـَٔايَـٰتِ in (the) Verses biāyāti
in (the) Verses
رَبِّهِمْ (of) their Lord rabbihim
(of) their Lord
لَهُمْ for them lahum
for them
عَذَابٌۭ (is) a punishment ʿadhābun
(is) a punishment
مِّن of min
of
رِّجْزٍ filth rij'zin
filth
أَلِيمٌ painful alīmun
painful
١١ (11)
(11)
This [Qur’ān] is guidance. And those who have disbelieved in the verses of their Lord will have a painful punishment of foul nature.
45:12
۞ ٱللَّهُ Allah al-lahu
Allah
ٱلَّذِى (is) the One Who alladhī
(is) the One Who
سَخَّرَ subjected sakhara
subjected
لَكُمُ to you lakumu
to you
ٱلْبَحْرَ the sea l-baḥra
the sea
لِتَجْرِىَ that may sail litajriya
that may sail
ٱلْفُلْكُ the ships l-ful'ku
the ships
فِيهِ therein fīhi
therein
بِأَمْرِهِۦ by His Command bi-amrihi
by His Command
وَلِتَبْتَغُوا۟ and that you may seek walitabtaghū
and that you may seek
مِن of min
of
فَضْلِهِۦ His Bounty faḍlihi
His Bounty
وَلَعَلَّكُمْ and that you may walaʿallakum
and that you may
تَشْكُرُونَ give thanks tashkurūna
give thanks
١٢ (12)
(12)
It is Allāh who subjected to you the sea so that ships may sail upon it by His command and that you may seek of His bounty; and perhaps you will be grateful.
45:13
وَسَخَّرَ And He has subjected wasakhara
And He has subjected
لَكُم to you lakum
to you
مَّا whatever
whatever
فِى (is) in
(is) in
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ the heavens l-samāwāti
the heavens
وَمَا and whatever wamā
and whatever
فِى (is) in
(is) in
ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth l-arḍi
the earth
جَمِيعًۭا all jamīʿan
all
مِّنْهُ ۚ from Him min'hu
from Him
إِنَّ Indeed inna
Indeed
فِى in
in
ذَٰلِكَ that dhālika
that
لَـَٔايَـٰتٍۢ surely are Signs laāyātin
surely are Signs
لِّقَوْمٍۢ for a people liqawmin
for a people
يَتَفَكَّرُونَ who give thought yatafakkarūna
who give thought
١٣ (13)
(13)
And He has subjected to you whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth - all from Him. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought.
45:14
قُل Say qul
Say
لِّلَّذِينَ to those who lilladhīna
to those who
ءَامَنُوا۟ believe āmanū
believe
يَغْفِرُوا۟ (to) forgive yaghfirū
(to) forgive
لِلَّذِينَ those who lilladhīna
those who
لَا (do) not
(do) not
يَرْجُونَ hope yarjūna
hope
أَيَّامَ (for the) days ayyāma
(for the) days
ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah l-lahi
(of) Allah
لِيَجْزِىَ that He may recompense liyajziya
that He may recompense
قَوْمًۢا a people qawman
a people
بِمَا for what bimā
for what
كَانُوا۟ they used to kānū
they used to
يَكْسِبُونَ earn yaksibūna
earn
١٤ (14)
(14)
Say, [O Muḥammad], to those who have believed that they [should] forgive those who expect not the days of Allāh [i.e., of His retribution] so that He may recompense a people for what they used to earn.
45:15
مَنْ Whoever man
Whoever
عَمِلَ does ʿamila
does
صَـٰلِحًۭا a righteous deed ṣāliḥan
a righteous deed
فَلِنَفْسِهِۦ ۖ then it is for his soul falinafsihi
then it is for his soul
وَمَنْ and whoever waman
and whoever
أَسَآءَ does evil asāa
does evil
فَعَلَيْهَا ۖ then it (is) against it faʿalayhā
then it (is) against it
ثُمَّ Then thumma
Then
إِلَىٰ to ilā
to
رَبِّكُمْ your Lord rabbikum
your Lord
تُرْجَعُونَ you will be returned tur'jaʿūna
you will be returned
١٥ (15)
(15)
Whoever does a good deed - it is for himself; and whoever does evil - it is against it [i.e., the self or soul]. Then to your Lord you will be returned.
45:16
وَلَقَدْ And certainly walaqad
And certainly
ءَاتَيْنَا We gave ātaynā
We gave
بَنِىٓ (the) Children of Israel banī
(the) Children of Israel
إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ (the) Children of Israel is'rāīla
(the) Children of Israel
ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ the Book l-kitāba
the Book
وَٱلْحُكْمَ and the wisdom wal-ḥuk'ma
and the wisdom
وَٱلنُّبُوَّةَ and the Prophethood wal-nubuwata
and the Prophethood
وَرَزَقْنَـٰهُم and We provided them warazaqnāhum
and We provided them
مِّنَ of mina
of
ٱلطَّيِّبَـٰتِ the good things l-ṭayibāti
the good things
وَفَضَّلْنَـٰهُمْ and We preferred them wafaḍḍalnāhum
and We preferred them
عَلَى over ʿalā
over
ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ the worlds l-ʿālamīna
the worlds
١٦ (16)
(16)
And We did certainly give the Children of Israel the Scripture and judgement and prophethood, and We provided them with good things and preferred them over the worlds.
45:17
وَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُم And We gave them waātaynāhum
And We gave them
بَيِّنَـٰتٍۢ clear proofs bayyinātin
clear proofs
مِّنَ of mina
of
ٱلْأَمْرِ ۖ the matter l-amri
the matter
فَمَا And not famā
And not
ٱخْتَلَفُوٓا۟ they differed ikh'talafū
they differed
إِلَّا except illā
except
مِنۢ after min
after
بَعْدِ after baʿdi
after
مَا [what]
[what]
جَآءَهُمُ came to them jāahumu
came to them
ٱلْعِلْمُ the knowledge l-ʿil'mu
the knowledge
بَغْيًۢا (out of) envy baghyan
(out of) envy
بَيْنَهُمْ ۚ between themselves baynahum
between themselves
إِنَّ Indeed inna
Indeed
رَبَّكَ your Lord rabbaka
your Lord
يَقْضِى will judge yaqḍī
will judge
بَيْنَهُمْ between them baynahum
between them
يَوْمَ (on the) Day yawma
(on the) Day
ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ (of) the Resurrection l-qiyāmati
(of) the Resurrection
فِيمَا about what fīmā
about what
كَانُوا۟ they used to kānū
they used to
فِيهِ therein fīhi
therein
يَخْتَلِفُونَ differ yakhtalifūna
differ
١٧ (17)
(17)
And We gave them clear proofs of the matter [of religion]. And they did not differ except after knowledge had come to them - out of jealous animosity between themselves. Indeed, your Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that over which they used to differ.
45:18
ثُمَّ Then thumma
Then
جَعَلْنَـٰكَ We put you jaʿalnāka
We put you
عَلَىٰ on ʿalā
on
شَرِيعَةٍۢ an ordained way sharīʿatin
an ordained way
مِّنَ of mina
of
ٱلْأَمْرِ the matter l-amri
the matter
فَٱتَّبِعْهَا so follow it fa-ittabiʿ'hā
so follow it
وَلَا and (do) not walā
and (do) not
تَتَّبِعْ follow tattabiʿ
follow
أَهْوَآءَ (the) desires ahwāa
(the) desires
ٱلَّذِينَ (of) those who alladhīna
(of) those who
لَا (do) not
(do) not
يَعْلَمُونَ know yaʿlamūna
know
١٨ (18)
(18)
Then We put you, [O Muḥammad], on an ordained way concerning the matter [of religion]; so follow it and do not follow the inclinations of those who do not know.
45:19
إِنَّهُمْ Indeed, they innahum
Indeed, they
لَن never lan
never
يُغْنُوا۟ will avail yugh'nū
will avail
عَنكَ you ʿanka
you
مِنَ against mina
against
ٱللَّهِ Allah l-lahi
Allah
شَيْـًۭٔا ۚ (in) anything shayan
(in) anything
وَإِنَّ And indeed wa-inna
And indeed
ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ the wrongdoers l-ẓālimīna
the wrongdoers
بَعْضُهُمْ some of them baʿḍuhum
some of them
أَوْلِيَآءُ (are) allies awliyāu
(are) allies
بَعْضٍۢ ۖ (of) others baʿḍin
(of) others
وَٱللَّهُ and Allah wal-lahu
and Allah
وَلِىُّ (is the) Protector waliyyu
(is the) Protector
ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ (of) the righteous l-mutaqīna
(of) the righteous
١٩ (19)
(19)
Indeed, they will never avail you against Allāh at all. And indeed, the wrongdoers are allies of one another; but Allāh is the protector of the righteous.
45:20
هَـٰذَا This hādhā
This
بَصَـٰٓئِرُ (is) enlightenment baṣāiru
(is) enlightenment
لِلنَّاسِ for mankind lilnnāsi
for mankind
وَهُدًۭى and guidance wahudan
and guidance
وَرَحْمَةٌۭ and mercy waraḥmatun
and mercy
لِّقَوْمٍۢ for a people liqawmin
for a people
يُوقِنُونَ who are certain yūqinūna
who are certain
٢٠ (20)
(20)
This [Qur’ān] is enlightenment for mankind and guidance and mercy for a people who are certain [in faith].
45:21
أَمْ Do am
Do
حَسِبَ think ḥasiba
think
ٱلَّذِينَ those who alladhīna
those who
ٱجْتَرَحُوا۟ commit ij'taraḥū
commit
ٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِ evil deeds l-sayiāti
evil deeds
أَن that an
that
نَّجْعَلَهُمْ We will make them najʿalahum
We will make them
كَٱلَّذِينَ like those who ka-alladhīna
like those who
ءَامَنُوا۟ believed āmanū
believed
وَعَمِلُوا۟ and did waʿamilū
and did
ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ righteous deeds l-ṣāliḥāti
righteous deeds
سَوَآءًۭ equal sawāan
equal
مَّحْيَاهُمْ (in) their life maḥyāhum
(in) their life
وَمَمَاتُهُمْ ۚ and their death wamamātuhum
and their death
سَآءَ Evil is sāa
Evil is
مَا what
what
يَحْكُمُونَ they judge yaḥkumūna
they judge
٢١ (21)
(21)
Or do those who commit evils think We will make them like those who have believed and done righteous deeds - [make them] equal in their life and their death? Evil is that which they judge [i.e., assume].
45:22
وَخَلَقَ And Allah created wakhalaqa
And Allah created
ٱللَّهُ And Allah created l-lahu
And Allah created
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ the heavens l-samāwāti
the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضَ and the earth wal-arḍa
and the earth
بِٱلْحَقِّ in truth bil-ḥaqi
in truth
وَلِتُجْزَىٰ and that may be recompensed walituj'zā
and that may be recompensed
كُلُّ every kullu
every
نَفْسٍۭ soul nafsin
soul
بِمَا for what bimā
for what
كَسَبَتْ it has earned kasabat
it has earned
وَهُمْ and they wahum
and they
لَا will not be wronged
will not be wronged
يُظْلَمُونَ will not be wronged yuẓ'lamūna
will not be wronged
٢٢ (22)
(22)
And Allāh created the heavens and earth in truth and so that every soul may be recompensed for what it has earned, and they will not be wronged.
45:23
أَفَرَءَيْتَ Have you seen afara-ayta
Have you seen
مَنِ (he) who mani
(he) who
ٱتَّخَذَ takes ittakhadha
takes
إِلَـٰهَهُۥ (as) his god ilāhahu
(as) his god
هَوَىٰهُ his desire hawāhu
his desire
وَأَضَلَّهُ and Allah lets him go astray wa-aḍallahu
and Allah lets him go astray
ٱللَّهُ and Allah lets him go astray l-lahu
and Allah lets him go astray
عَلَىٰ knowingly ʿalā
knowingly
عِلْمٍۢ knowingly ʿil'min
knowingly
وَخَتَمَ and He sets a seal wakhatama
and He sets a seal
عَلَىٰ upon ʿalā
upon
سَمْعِهِۦ his hearing samʿihi
his hearing
وَقَلْبِهِۦ and his heart waqalbihi
and his heart
وَجَعَلَ and puts wajaʿala
and puts
عَلَىٰ over ʿalā
over
بَصَرِهِۦ his vision baṣarihi
his vision
غِشَـٰوَةًۭ a veil ghishāwatan
a veil
فَمَن Then who faman
Then who
يَهْدِيهِ will guide him yahdīhi
will guide him
مِنۢ after min
after
بَعْدِ after baʿdi
after
ٱللَّهِ ۚ Allah l-lahi
Allah
أَفَلَا Then will not afalā
Then will not
تَذَكَّرُونَ you receive admonition tadhakkarūna
you receive admonition
٢٣ (23)
(23)
Have you seen he who has taken as his god his [own] desire, and Allāh has sent him astray due to knowledge and has set a seal upon his hearing and his heart and put over his vision a veil? So who will guide him after Allāh? Then will you not be reminded?
45:24
وَقَالُوا۟ And they say waqālū
And they say
مَا Not
Not
هِىَ it hiya
it
إِلَّا (is) but illā
(is) but
حَيَاتُنَا our life ḥayātunā
our life
ٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the world l-dun'yā
(of) the world
نَمُوتُ we die namūtu
we die
وَنَحْيَا and we live wanaḥyā
and we live
وَمَا and not wamā
and not
يُهْلِكُنَآ destroys us yuh'likunā
destroys us
إِلَّا except illā
except
ٱلدَّهْرُ ۚ the time l-dahru
the time
وَمَا And not wamā
And not
لَهُم for them lahum
for them
بِذَٰلِكَ of that bidhālika
of that
مِنْ any min
any
عِلْمٍ ۖ knowledge ʿil'min
knowledge
إِنْ not in
not
هُمْ they hum
they
إِلَّا (do) but illā
(do) but
يَظُنُّونَ guess yaẓunnūna
guess
٢٤ (24)
(24)
And they say, "There is not but our worldly life; we die and live, and nothing destroys us except time." And they have of that no knowledge; they are only assuming.
45:25
وَإِذَا And when wa-idhā
And when
تُتْلَىٰ are recited tut'lā
are recited
عَلَيْهِمْ to them ʿalayhim
to them
ءَايَـٰتُنَا Our Verses āyātunā
Our Verses
بَيِّنَـٰتٍۢ clear bayyinātin
clear
مَّا not
not
كَانَ is kāna
is
حُجَّتَهُمْ their argument ḥujjatahum
their argument
إِلَّآ except illā
except
أَن that an
that
قَالُوا۟ they say qālū
they say
ٱئْتُوا۟ Bring i'tū
Bring
بِـَٔابَآئِنَآ our forefathers biābāinā
our forefathers
إِن if in
if
كُنتُمْ you are kuntum
you are
صَـٰدِقِينَ truthful ṣādiqīna
truthful
٢٥ (25)
(25)
And when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, their argument is only that they say, "Bring [back] our forefathers, if you should be truthful."
45:26
قُلِ Say quli
Say
ٱللَّهُ Allah l-lahu
Allah
يُحْيِيكُمْ gives you life yuḥ'yīkum
gives you life
ثُمَّ then thumma
then
يُمِيتُكُمْ causes you to die yumītukum
causes you to die
ثُمَّ then thumma
then
يَجْمَعُكُمْ He will gather you yajmaʿukum
He will gather you
إِلَىٰ to ilā
to
يَوْمِ (the) Day yawmi
(the) Day
ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ (of) the Resurrection l-qiyāmati
(of) the Resurrection
لَا no
no
رَيْبَ doubt rayba
doubt
فِيهِ about it fīhi
about it
وَلَـٰكِنَّ But walākinna
But
أَكْثَرَ most akthara
most
ٱلنَّاسِ (of) the people l-nāsi
(of) the people
لَا (do) not
(do) not
يَعْلَمُونَ know yaʿlamūna
know
٢٦ (26)
(26)
Say, "Allāh causes you to live, then causes you to die; then He will assemble you for the Day of Resurrection, about which there is no doubt, but most of the people do not know."
45:27
وَلِلَّهِ And for Allah walillahi
And for Allah
مُلْكُ (is the) dominion mul'ku
(is the) dominion
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ (of) the heavens l-samāwāti
(of) the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ and the earth wal-arḍi
and the earth
وَيَوْمَ and (the) Day wayawma
and (the) Day
تَقُومُ is established taqūmu
is established
ٱلسَّاعَةُ the Hour l-sāʿatu
the Hour
يَوْمَئِذٍۢ that Day yawma-idhin
that Day
يَخْسَرُ will lose yakhsaru
will lose
ٱلْمُبْطِلُونَ the falsifiers l-mub'ṭilūna
the falsifiers
٢٧ (27)
(27)
And to Allāh belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And the Day the Hour appears - that Day the falsifiers will lose.
45:28
وَتَرَىٰ And you will see watarā
And you will see
كُلَّ every kulla
every
أُمَّةٍۢ nation ummatin
nation
جَاثِيَةًۭ ۚ kneeling jāthiyatan
kneeling
كُلُّ Every kullu
Every
أُمَّةٍۢ nation ummatin
nation
تُدْعَىٰٓ will be called tud'ʿā
will be called
إِلَىٰ to ilā
to
كِتَـٰبِهَا its record kitābihā
its record
ٱلْيَوْمَ Today l-yawma
Today
تُجْزَوْنَ you will be recompensed tuj'zawna
you will be recompensed
مَا (for) what
(for) what
كُنتُمْ you used to kuntum
you used to
تَعْمَلُونَ do taʿmalūna
do
٢٨ (28)
(28)
And you will see every nation kneeling [from fear]. Every nation will be called to its record [and told], "Today you will be recompensed for what you used to do.
45:29
هَـٰذَا This hādhā
This
كِتَـٰبُنَا Our Record kitābunā
Our Record
يَنطِقُ speaks yanṭiqu
speaks
عَلَيْكُم about you ʿalaykum
about you
بِٱلْحَقِّ ۚ in truth bil-ḥaqi
in truth
إِنَّا Indeed, We innā
Indeed, We
كُنَّا [We] used to kunnā
[We] used to
نَسْتَنسِخُ transcribe nastansikhu
transcribe
مَا what
what
كُنتُمْ you used to kuntum
you used to
تَعْمَلُونَ do taʿmalūna
do
٢٩ (29)
(29)
This, Our record, speaks about you in truth. Indeed, We were having transcribed whatever you used to do."
45:30
فَأَمَّا Then as for fa-ammā
Then as for
ٱلَّذِينَ those who alladhīna
those who
ءَامَنُوا۟ believed āmanū
believed
وَعَمِلُوا۟ and did waʿamilū
and did
ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ [the] righteous deeds l-ṣāliḥāti
[the] righteous deeds
فَيُدْخِلُهُمْ will admit them fayud'khiluhum
will admit them
رَبُّهُمْ their Lord rabbuhum
their Lord
فِى in(to)
in(to)
رَحْمَتِهِۦ ۚ His mercy raḥmatihi
His mercy
ذَٰلِكَ That dhālika
That
هُوَ [it] huwa
[it]
ٱلْفَوْزُ (is) the success l-fawzu
(is) the success
ٱلْمُبِينُ clear l-mubīnu
clear
٣٠ (30)
(30)
So as for those who believed and did righteous deeds, their Lord will admit them into His mercy. That is what is the clear attainment.
45:31
وَأَمَّا But as for wa-ammā
But as for
ٱلَّذِينَ those who alladhīna
those who
كَفَرُوٓا۟ disbelieved kafarū
disbelieved
أَفَلَمْ Then were not afalam
Then were not
تَكُنْ Then were not takun
Then were not
ءَايَـٰتِى My Verses āyātī
My Verses
تُتْلَىٰ recited tut'lā
recited
عَلَيْكُمْ to you ʿalaykum
to you
فَٱسْتَكْبَرْتُمْ but you were proud fa-is'takbartum
but you were proud
وَكُنتُمْ and you became wakuntum
and you became
قَوْمًۭا a people qawman
a people
مُّجْرِمِينَ criminals muj'rimīna
criminals
٣١ (31)
(31)
But as for those who disbelieved, [it will be said], "Were not Our verses recited to you, but you were arrogant and became a criminal people?
45:32
وَإِذَا And when wa-idhā
And when
قِيلَ it was said qīla
it was said
إِنَّ Indeed inna
Indeed
وَعْدَ (the) Promise waʿda
(the) Promise
ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah l-lahi
(of) Allah
حَقٌّۭ (is) true ḥaqqun
(is) true
وَٱلسَّاعَةُ and the Hour wal-sāʿatu
and the Hour
لَا (there is) no
(there is) no
رَيْبَ doubt rayba
doubt
فِيهَا about it fīhā
about it
قُلْتُم you said qul'tum
you said
مَّا Not
Not
نَدْرِى we know nadrī
we know
مَا what
what
ٱلسَّاعَةُ the Hour (is) l-sāʿatu
the Hour (is)
إِن Not in
Not
نَّظُنُّ we think naẓunnu
we think
إِلَّا except illā
except
ظَنًّۭا an assumption ẓannan
an assumption
وَمَا and not wamā
and not
نَحْنُ we naḥnu
we
بِمُسْتَيْقِنِينَ (are) convinced bimus'tayqinīna
(are) convinced
٣٢ (32)
(32)
And when it was said, 'Indeed, the promise of Allāh is truth and the Hour [is coming] - no doubt about it,' you said, 'We know not what is the Hour. We assume only assumption, and we are not convinced.'"
45:33
وَبَدَا And (will) appear wabadā
And (will) appear
لَهُمْ to them lahum
to them
سَيِّـَٔاتُ (the) evil sayyiātu
(the) evil
مَا (of) what
(of) what
عَمِلُوا۟ they did ʿamilū
they did
وَحَاقَ and (will) envelop waḥāqa
and (will) envelop
بِهِم them bihim
them
مَّا what
what
كَانُوا۟ they used kānū
they used
بِهِۦ [at it] bihi
[at it]
يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ (to) mock yastahziūna
(to) mock
٣٣ (33)
(33)
And the evil consequences of what they did will appear to them, and they will be enveloped by what they used to ridicule.
45:34
وَقِيلَ And it will be said waqīla
And it will be said
ٱلْيَوْمَ Today l-yawma
Today
نَنسَىٰكُمْ We forget you nansākum
We forget you
كَمَا as kamā
as
نَسِيتُمْ you forgot nasītum
you forgot
لِقَآءَ (the) meeting liqāa
(the) meeting
يَوْمِكُمْ (of) this Day of yours yawmikum
(of) this Day of yours
هَـٰذَا (of) this Day of yours hādhā
(of) this Day of yours
وَمَأْوَىٰكُمُ and your abode wamawākumu
and your abode
ٱلنَّارُ (is) the Fire l-nāru
(is) the Fire
وَمَا and not wamā
and not
لَكُم for you lakum
for you
مِّن any min
any
نَّـٰصِرِينَ helpers nāṣirīna
helpers
٣٤ (34)
(34)
And it will be said, "Today We will forget you as you forgot the meeting of this Day of yours, and your refuge is the Fire, and for you there are no helpers.
45:35
ذَٰلِكُم That dhālikum
That
بِأَنَّكُمُ (is) because you bi-annakumu
(is) because you
ٱتَّخَذْتُمْ took ittakhadhtum
took
ءَايَـٰتِ (the) Verses āyāti
(the) Verses
ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah l-lahi
(of) Allah
هُزُوًۭا (in) ridicule huzuwan
(in) ridicule
وَغَرَّتْكُمُ and deceived you wagharratkumu
and deceived you
ٱلْحَيَوٰةُ the life l-ḥayatu
the life
ٱلدُّنْيَا ۚ (of) the world l-dun'yā
(of) the world
فَٱلْيَوْمَ So this Day fal-yawma
So this Day
لَا not
not
يُخْرَجُونَ they will be brought forth yukh'rajūna
they will be brought forth
مِنْهَا from it min'hā
from it
وَلَا and not walā
and not
هُمْ they hum
they
يُسْتَعْتَبُونَ will be asked to appease yus'taʿtabūna
will be asked to appease
٣٥ (35)
(35)
That is because you took the verses of Allāh in ridicule, and worldly life deluded you." So that Day they will not be removed from it, nor will they be asked to appease [Allāh].
45:36
فَلِلَّهِ Then for Allah falillahi
Then for Allah
ٱلْحَمْدُ (is) all the praise l-ḥamdu
(is) all the praise
رَبِّ (the) Lord rabbi
(the) Lord
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ (of) the heavens l-samāwāti
(of) the heavens
وَرَبِّ and (the) Lord warabbi
and (the) Lord
ٱلْأَرْضِ (of) the earth l-arḍi
(of) the earth
رَبِّ (the) lord rabbi
(the) lord
ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ (of) the worlds l-ʿālamīna
(of) the worlds
٣٦ (36)
(36)
Then, to Allāh belongs [all] praise - Lord of the heavens and Lord of the earth, Lord of the worlds.
45:37
وَلَهُ And for Him walahu
And for Him
ٱلْكِبْرِيَآءُ (is) the greatness l-kib'riyāu
(is) the greatness
فِى in
in
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ the heavens l-samāwāti
the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ and the earth wal-arḍi
and the earth
وَهُوَ and He wahuwa
and He
ٱلْعَزِيزُ (is) the All-Mighty l-ʿazīzu
(is) the All-Mighty
ٱلْحَكِيمُ the All-Wise l-ḥakīmu
the All-Wise
٣٧ (37)
(37)
And to Him belongs [all] grandeur within the heavens and the earth, and He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise.
