Bismillah

بِسْمِ In (the) name ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ the Most Gracious ٱلرَّحِيمِ the Most Merciful

Au nom d'Allah, le Tout Miséricordieux, le Très Miséricordieux

58:1

قَدْ Indeed سَمِعَ Allah has heard ٱللَّهُ Allah has heard قَوْلَ (the) speech ٱلَّتِى (of one) who تُجَـٰدِلُكَ disputes with you فِى concerning زَوْجِهَا her husband وَتَشْتَكِىٓ and she directs her complaint إِلَى to ٱللَّهِ Allah وَٱللَّهُ And Allah يَسْمَعُ hears تَحَاوُرَكُمَآ ۚ (the) dialogue of both of you إِنَّ Indeed ٱللَّهَ Allah سَمِيعٌۢ (is) All-Hearer بَصِيرٌ All-Seer ١ (1)

Allah a bien entendu la parole de celle qui discutait avec toi à propos de son époux et se plaignait à Allah. Et Allah entendait votre conversation, car Allah est Audient et Clairvoyant.

58:2

ٱلَّذِينَ Those who يُظَـٰهِرُونَ pronounce zihar مِنكُم among you مِّن [from] نِّسَآئِهِم (to) their wives مَّا not هُنَّ they أُمَّهَـٰتِهِمْ ۖ (are) their mothers إِنْ Not أُمَّهَـٰتُهُمْ (are) their mothers إِلَّا except ٱلَّـٰٓـِٔى those who وَلَدْنَهُمْ ۚ gave them birth وَإِنَّهُمْ And indeed, they لَيَقُولُونَ surely say مُنكَرًۭا an evil مِّنَ [of] ٱلْقَوْلِ [the] word وَزُورًۭا ۚ and a lie وَإِنَّ But indeed ٱللَّهَ Allah لَعَفُوٌّ (is) surely, Oft-Pardoning غَفُورٌۭ Oft-Forgiving ٢ (2)

Ceux d’entre vous qui répudient leurs femme, en déclarant qu’elles sont pour eux comme le dos de leur mères... alors qu’elles ne sont nullement leur mères, car ils n’ont pour mères que celles qui les ont enfantés. Ils prononcent certes une parole blâmable et mensongère. Allah cependant est Indulgent et Pardonneur.

58:3

وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who يُظَـٰهِرُونَ pronounce zihar مِن [from] نِّسَآئِهِمْ (to) their wives ثُمَّ then يَعُودُونَ go back لِمَا on what قَالُوا۟ they said فَتَحْرِيرُ then freeing رَقَبَةٍۢ (of) a slave مِّن before قَبْلِ before أَن [that] يَتَمَآسَّا ۚ they touch each other ذَٰلِكُمْ That تُوعَظُونَ you are admonished بِهِۦ ۚ to it وَٱللَّهُ And Allah بِمَا of what تَعْمَلُونَ you do خَبِيرٌۭ (is) All-Aware ٣ (3)

Ceux qui comparent leurs femmes au dos de leurs mères, puis reviennent sur ce qu’ils ont dit, doivent affranchir un esclave avant d’avoir aucun contact [conjugal] avec leur femme. C’est ce dont on vous exhorte. Et Allah est Parfaitement Connaisseur de ce que vous faites.

58:4

فَمَن Then whoever لَّمْ (does) not يَجِدْ find فَصِيَامُ then fasting شَهْرَيْنِ (for) two months مُتَتَابِعَيْنِ consecutively مِن before قَبْلِ before أَن [that] يَتَمَآسَّا ۖ they both touch each other فَمَن But (he) who لَّمْ not يَسْتَطِعْ is able فَإِطْعَامُ then (the) feeding سِتِّينَ (of) sixty مِسْكِينًۭا ۚ needy one(s) ذَٰلِكَ That لِتُؤْمِنُوا۟ so that you may believe بِٱللَّهِ in Allah وَرَسُولِهِۦ ۚ and His Messenger وَتِلْكَ and these حُدُودُ (are the) limits ٱللَّهِ ۗ (of) Allah وَلِلْكَـٰفِرِينَ and for the disbelievers عَذَابٌ (is) a punishment أَلِيمٌ painful ٤ (4)

Mais celui qui n’en trouve pas les moyens doit jeûner alors deux mois consécutifs avant d’avoir aucun contact [conjugal] avec sa femme. Mais s’il ne peut le faire non plus, alors qu’il nourrisse soixante pauvres. Cela, pour que vous croyiez en Allah et en Son Messager. Voilà les limites imposées par Allah. Et les mécréants auront un châtiment douloureux.

58:5

إِنَّ Indeed ٱلَّذِينَ those who يُحَآدُّونَ oppose ٱللَّهَ Allah وَرَسُولَهُۥ and His Messenger كُبِتُوا۟ (will) be disgraced كَمَا as كُبِتَ were disgraced ٱلَّذِينَ those مِن before them قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ before them وَقَدْ And certainly أَنزَلْنَآ We have sent down ءَايَـٰتٍۭ Verses بَيِّنَـٰتٍۢ ۚ clear وَلِلْكَـٰفِرِينَ And for the disbelievers عَذَابٌۭ (is) a punishment مُّهِينٌۭ humiliating ٥ (5)

Ceux qui s’opposent à Allah et à Son Messager seront culbutés comme furent culbutés leurs devanciers. Nous avons déjà fait descendre des preuves explicites, et les mécréants auront un châtiment avilissant,

58:6

يَوْمَ (On the) Day يَبْعَثُهُمُ (when) Allah will raise them ٱللَّهُ (when) Allah will raise them جَمِيعًۭا all فَيُنَبِّئُهُم and inform them بِمَا of what عَمِلُوٓا۟ ۚ they did أَحْصَىٰهُ Allah has recorded it ٱللَّهُ Allah has recorded it وَنَسُوهُ ۚ while they forgot it وَٱللَّهُ And Allah عَلَىٰ (is) over كُلِّ all شَىْءٍۢ things شَهِيدٌ a Witness ٦ (6)

le jour où Allah les ressuscitera tous, puis les informera de ce qu’ils ont fait. Allah l’a dénombré et ils l’auront oublié. Allah est témoin de toute chose.

58:7

أَلَمْ Do not تَرَ you see أَنَّ that ٱللَّهَ Allah يَعْلَمُ knows مَا whatever فِى (is) in ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ the heavens وَمَا and whatever فِى (is) in ٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ the earth مَا Not يَكُونُ there is مِن any نَّجْوَىٰ secret counsel ثَلَـٰثَةٍ (of) three إِلَّا but هُوَ He (is) رَابِعُهُمْ (the) fourth of them وَلَا and not خَمْسَةٍ five إِلَّا but هُوَ He (is) سَادِسُهُمْ (the) sixth of them وَلَآ and not أَدْنَىٰ less مِن than ذَٰلِكَ that وَلَآ and not أَكْثَرَ more إِلَّا but هُوَ He مَعَهُمْ (is) with them أَيْنَ wherever مَا wherever كَانُوا۟ ۖ they are ثُمَّ Then يُنَبِّئُهُم He will inform them بِمَا of what عَمِلُوا۟ they did يَوْمَ (on the) Day ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ ۚ (of) the Resurrection إِنَّ Indeed ٱللَّهَ Allah بِكُلِّ of every شَىْءٍ thing عَلِيمٌ (is) All-Knower ٧ (7)

Ne vois-tu pas qu’Allah sait ce qui est dans les cieux et sur la terre? Pas de conversation secrète entre trois sans qu’Il ne soit leur quatrième, ni entre cinq sans qu’Il n’y ne soit leur sixième, ni moins ni plus que cela sans qu’Il ne soit avec eux, là où ils se trouvent. Ensuite, Il les informera, au Jour de la Résurrection, de ce qu’ils faisaient, car Allah est Omniscient.

58:8

أَلَمْ Do not تَرَ you see إِلَى [to] ٱلَّذِينَ those who نُهُوا۟ were forbidden عَنِ from ٱلنَّجْوَىٰ secret counsels ثُمَّ then يَعُودُونَ they return لِمَا to what نُهُوا۟ they were forbidden عَنْهُ from [it] وَيَتَنَـٰجَوْنَ and they hold secret counsels بِٱلْإِثْمِ for sin وَٱلْعُدْوَٰنِ and aggression وَمَعْصِيَتِ and disobedience ٱلرَّسُولِ (to) the Messenger وَإِذَا And when جَآءُوكَ they come to you حَيَّوْكَ they greet you بِمَا with what لَمْ not يُحَيِّكَ greets you بِهِ therewith ٱللَّهُ Allah وَيَقُولُونَ and they say فِىٓ among أَنفُسِهِمْ themselves لَوْلَا Why (does) not يُعَذِّبُنَا Allah punish us ٱللَّهُ Allah punish us بِمَا for what نَقُولُ ۚ we say حَسْبُهُمْ Sufficient (for) them جَهَنَّمُ (is) Hell يَصْلَوْنَهَا ۖ they will burn in it فَبِئْسَ and worst is ٱلْمَصِيرُ the destination ٨ (8)

Ne vois-tu pas ceux à qui les conversations secrètes ont été interdites ? Puis, ils retournent à ce qui leur a été interdit, et se concertent pour pécher, transgresser et désobéir au Messager. Et quand ils viennent à toi, ils te saluent d’une façon dont Allah ne t’a pas salué, et disent en eux- mêmes : "Pourquoi Allah ne nous châtie pas pour ce que nous disons ?" L’Enfer leur suffira, où ils brûleront. Et quelle mauvaise destination !

58:9

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا O you who believe ٱلَّذِينَ O you who believe ءَامَنُوٓا۟ O you who believe إِذَا When تَنَـٰجَيْتُمْ you hold secret counsel فَلَا then (do) not تَتَنَـٰجَوْا۟ hold secret counsel بِٱلْإِثْمِ for sin وَٱلْعُدْوَٰنِ and aggression وَمَعْصِيَتِ and disobedience ٱلرَّسُولِ (to) the Messenger وَتَنَـٰجَوْا۟ but hold secret counsel بِٱلْبِرِّ for righteousness وَٱلتَّقْوَىٰ ۖ and piety وَٱتَّقُوا۟ And fear ٱللَّهَ Allah ٱلَّذِىٓ the One Who إِلَيْهِ to Him تُحْشَرُونَ you will be gathered ٩ (9)

Ô vous qui avez cru ! Quand vous tenez des conversations secrètes, ne vous concertez pas pour pécher, transgresser et désobéir au Messager, mais concertez-vous dans la bonté et la piété. Et craignez Allah vers qui vous serez rassemblés.
