Bismillah
بِسْمِ In (the) name bis'mi
In (the) name ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah l-lahi
(of) Allah ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ the Most Gracious l-raḥmāni
the Most Gracious ٱلرَّحِيمِ the Most Merciful l-raḥīmi
the Most Merciful
Au nom d'Allah, le Tout Miséricordieux, le Très Miséricordieux
52:1
وَٱلطُّورِ By the Mount wal-ṭūri
By the Mount ١ (1)
(1)
Par At-Tûr !
52:2
وَكِتَـٰبٍۢ And by (the) Book wakitābin
And by (the) Book مَّسْطُورٍۢ written masṭūrin
written ٢ (2)
(2)
Et par un Livre écrit.
52:3
فِى In fī
In رَقٍّۢ parchment raqqin
parchment مَّنشُورٍۢ unrolled manshūrin
unrolled ٣ (3)
(3)
Sur un parchemin déployé !
52:4
وَٱلْبَيْتِ By the House wal-bayti
By the House ٱلْمَعْمُورِ frequented l-maʿmūri
frequented ٤ (4)
(4)
et par la Maison peuplée !
52:5
وَٱلسَّقْفِ By the roof wal-saqfi
By the roof ٱلْمَرْفُوعِ raised high l-marfūʿi
raised high ٥ (5)
(5)
Et par la Voûte élevée !
52:6
وَٱلْبَحْرِ By the sea wal-baḥri
By the sea ٱلْمَسْجُورِ filled l-masjūri
filled ٦ (6)
(6)
Et par la Mer portée à ébullition ! (au Jour dernier)
52:7
إِنَّ Indeed inna
Indeed عَذَابَ (the) punishment ʿadhāba
(the) punishment رَبِّكَ (of) your Lord rabbika
(of) your Lord لَوَٰقِعٌۭ (will) surely occur lawāqiʿun
(will) surely occur ٧ (7)
(7)
Le châtiment de ton Seigneur aura lieu inévitablement.
52:8
مَّا Not mā
Not لَهُۥ for it lahu
for it مِن any min
any دَافِعٍۢ preventer dāfiʿin
preventer ٨ (8)
(8)
Nul ne pourra le repousser.
52:9
يَوْمَ (On the) Day yawma
(On the) Day تَمُورُ will shake tamūru
will shake ٱلسَّمَآءُ the heaven l-samāu
the heaven مَوْرًۭا (with violent) shake mawran
(with violent) shake ٩ (9)
(9)
Le jour où le ciel sera agité d’un tourbillonnement,
52:10
وَتَسِيرُ And will move away watasīru
And will move away ٱلْجِبَالُ the mountains l-jibālu
the mountains سَيْرًۭا (with an awful) movement sayran
(with an awful) movement ١٠ (10)
(10)
et les montagnes se mettront en marche.
52:11
فَوَيْلٌۭ Then woe fawaylun
Then woe يَوْمَئِذٍۢ that Day yawma-idhin
that Day لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ to the deniers lil'mukadhibīna
to the deniers ١١ (11)
(11)
Ce jour-là, malheur à ceux qui traitent (les signes d’Allah) de mensonges,
52:12
ٱلَّذِينَ Who alladhīna
Who هُمْ [they] hum
[they] فِى in fī
in خَوْضٍۢ (vain) discourse khawḍin
(vain) discourse يَلْعَبُونَ are playing yalʿabūna
are playing ١٢ (12)
(12)
ceux qui s’ébattent dans des discours frivoles.
52:13
يَوْمَ (The) Day yawma
(The) Day يُدَعُّونَ they will be thrust yudaʿʿūna
they will be thrust إِلَىٰ (in)to ilā
(in)to نَارِ (the) Fire nāri
(the) Fire جَهَنَّمَ (of) Hell jahannama
(of) Hell دَعًّا (with) a thrust daʿʿan
(with) a thrust ١٣ (13)
(13)
Le jour où ils seront brutalement poussés au feu de l’Enfer:
52:14
هَـٰذِهِ This hādhihi
This ٱلنَّارُ (is) the Fire l-nāru
(is) the Fire ٱلَّتِى which allatī
which كُنتُم you used to kuntum
you used to بِهَا [of it] bihā
[of it] تُكَذِّبُونَ deny tukadhibūna
deny ١٤ (14)
(14)
Voilà le feu que vous traitiez de mensonge.
52:15
أَفَسِحْرٌ Then is this magic afasiḥ'run
Then is this magic هَـٰذَآ Then is this magic hādhā
Then is this magic أَمْ or am
or أَنتُمْ you antum
you لَا (do) not lā
(do) not تُبْصِرُونَ see tub'ṣirūna
see ١٥ (15)
(15)
Est-ce que cela est de la magie ? Ou bien ne voyez-vous pas clair ?
52:16
ٱصْلَوْهَا Burn in it iṣ'lawhā
Burn in it فَٱصْبِرُوٓا۟ then be patient fa-iṣ'birū
then be patient أَوْ or aw
or لَا (do) not lā
(do) not تَصْبِرُوا۟ be patient taṣbirū
be patient سَوَآءٌ (it is) same sawāon
(it is) same عَلَيْكُمْ ۖ for you ʿalaykum
for you إِنَّمَا Only innamā
Only تُجْزَوْنَ you are being recompensed tuj'zawna
you are being recompensed مَا (for) what mā
(for) what كُنتُمْ you used to kuntum
you used to تَعْمَلُونَ do taʿmalūna
do ١٦ (16)
(16)
Brûlez dedans ! Supportez ou ne supportez pas, ce sera égal pour vous : vous n’êtes rétribués que selon ce que vous faisiez.
52:17
إِنَّ Indeed inna
Indeed ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ the righteous l-mutaqīna
the righteous فِى (will be) in fī
(will be) in جَنَّـٰتٍۢ Gardens jannātin
Gardens وَنَعِيمٍۢ and pleasure wanaʿīmin
and pleasure ١٧ (17)
(17)
Les pieux seront dans des Jardins et dans des délices,
52:18
فَـٰكِهِينَ Enjoying fākihīna
Enjoying بِمَآ in what bimā
in what ءَاتَىٰهُمْ has given them ātāhum
has given them رَبُّهُمْ their Lord rabbuhum
their Lord وَوَقَىٰهُمْ and protected them wawaqāhum
and protected them رَبُّهُمْ their Lord rabbuhum
their Lord عَذَابَ (from the) punishment ʿadhāba
(from the) punishment ٱلْجَحِيمِ (of) Hellfire l-jaḥīmi
(of) Hellfire ١٨ (18)
(18)
se réjouissant de ce que leur Seigneur leur aura donné, et leur Seigneur les aura protégés du châtiment de la Fournaise.
52:19
كُلُوا۟ Eat kulū
Eat وَٱشْرَبُوا۟ and drink wa-ish'rabū
and drink هَنِيٓـًٔۢا (in) satisfaction hanīan
(in) satisfaction بِمَا for what bimā
for what كُنتُمْ you used to kuntum
you used to تَعْمَلُونَ do taʿmalūna
do ١٩ (19)
(19)
"En récompense de ce que vous faisiez, mangez et buvez en toute sérénité,
52:20
مُتَّكِـِٔينَ Reclining muttakiīna
Reclining عَلَىٰ on ʿalā
on سُرُرٍۢ thrones sururin
thrones مَّصْفُوفَةٍۢ ۖ lined up maṣfūfatin
lined up وَزَوَّجْنَـٰهُم and We will marry them wazawwajnāhum
and We will marry them بِحُورٍ to fair ones biḥūrin
to fair ones عِينٍۢ (with) large eyes ʿīnin
(with) large eyes ٢٠ (20)
(20)
accoudés sur des lits bien rangés", et Nous leur ferons épouser des femmes (des houris) aux grands yeux noirs.
52:21
وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who wa-alladhīna
And those who ءَامَنُوا۟ believed āmanū
believed وَٱتَّبَعَتْهُمْ and followed them wa-ittabaʿathum
and followed them ذُرِّيَّتُهُم their offspring dhurriyyatuhum
their offspring بِإِيمَـٰنٍ in faith biīmānin
in faith أَلْحَقْنَا We will join alḥaqnā
We will join بِهِمْ with them bihim
with them ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ their offspring dhurriyyatahum
their offspring وَمَآ and not wamā
and not أَلَتْنَـٰهُم We will deprive them alatnāhum
We will deprive them مِّنْ of min
of عَمَلِهِم their deeds ʿamalihim
their deeds مِّن (in) any min
(in) any شَىْءٍۢ ۚ thing shayin
thing كُلُّ Every kullu
Every ٱمْرِئٍۭ person im'ri-in
person بِمَا for what bimā
for what كَسَبَ he earned kasaba
he earned رَهِينٌۭ (is) pledged rahīnun
(is) pledged ٢١ (21)
(21)
Ceux qui auront cru et que leurs descendants auront suivis dans la foi, Nous ferons que leurs descendants les rejoignent. Et Nous ne diminuerons en rien le mérité de leurs œuvres, chacun étant tenu responsable de ce qu’il aura acquis.
52:22
وَأَمْدَدْنَـٰهُم And We will provide them wa-amdadnāhum
And We will provide them بِفَـٰكِهَةٍۢ with fruit bifākihatin
with fruit وَلَحْمٍۢ and meat walaḥmin
and meat مِّمَّا from what mimmā
from what يَشْتَهُونَ they desire yashtahūna
they desire ٢٢ (22)
(22)
Nous les pourvoirons abondamment des fruits et des viandes qu’ils désireront.
52:23
يَتَنَـٰزَعُونَ They will pass to one another yatanāzaʿūna
They will pass to one another فِيهَا therein fīhā
therein كَأْسًۭا a cup kasan
a cup لَّا no lā
no لَغْوٌۭ ill speech laghwun
ill speech فِيهَا therein fīhā
therein وَلَا and no walā
and no تَأْثِيمٌۭ sin tathīmun
sin ٢٣ (23)
(23)
Là, ils se passeront les uns les autres une coupe qui ne provoquera ni vanité ni incrimination.
52:24
۞ وَيَطُوفُ And will circulate wayaṭūfu
And will circulate عَلَيْهِمْ among them ʿalayhim
among them غِلْمَانٌۭ boys ghil'mānun
boys لَّهُمْ for them lahum
for them كَأَنَّهُمْ as if they (were) ka-annahum
as if they (were) لُؤْلُؤٌۭ pearls lu'lu-on
pearls مَّكْنُونٌۭ well-protected maknūnun
well-protected ٢٤ (24)
(24)
Et parmi eux circuleront des garçons à leur service, pareils à des perles bien conservées.
52:25
وَأَقْبَلَ And will approach wa-aqbala
And will approach بَعْضُهُمْ some of them baʿḍuhum
some of them عَلَىٰ to ʿalā
to بَعْضٍۢ others baʿḍin
others يَتَسَآءَلُونَ inquiring yatasāalūna
inquiring ٢٥ (25)
(25)
et ils se tourneront les uns vers les autres s’interrogeant ;
52:26
قَالُوٓا۟ They will say qālū
They will say إِنَّا Indeed, we innā
Indeed, we كُنَّا [we] were kunnā
[we] were قَبْلُ before qablu
before فِىٓ among fī
among أَهْلِنَا our families ahlinā
our families مُشْفِقِينَ fearful mush'fiqīna
fearful ٢٦ (26)
(26)
Ils diront : "Nous vivions au milieu des nôtres dans la crainte [d’Allah] ;
52:27
فَمَنَّ But Allah conferred favor famanna
But Allah conferred favor ٱللَّهُ But Allah conferred favor l-lahu
But Allah conferred favor عَلَيْنَا upon us ʿalaynā
upon us وَوَقَىٰنَا and protected us wawaqānā
and protected us عَذَابَ (from the) punishment ʿadhāba
(from the) punishment ٱلسَّمُومِ (of) the Scorching Fire l-samūmi
(of) the Scorching Fire ٢٧ (27)
(27)
Puis Allah nous a favorisés et protégés du châtiment du Samûm .
52:28
إِنَّا Indeed, we innā
Indeed, we كُنَّا [we] used to kunnā
[we] used to مِن before min
before قَبْلُ before qablu
before نَدْعُوهُ ۖ call Him nadʿūhu
call Him إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, He innahu
Indeed, He هُوَ [He] huwa
[He] ٱلْبَرُّ (is) the Most Kind l-baru
(is) the Most Kind ٱلرَّحِيمُ the Most Merciful l-raḥīmu
the Most Merciful ٢٨ (28)
(28)
Antérieurement, nous L’invoquions. C’est Lui certes, le Charitable, le Très Miséricordieux."
52:29
فَذَكِّرْ Therefore remind fadhakkir
Therefore remind فَمَآ for not famā
for not أَنتَ you anta
you بِنِعْمَتِ (are) by (the) grace biniʿ'mati
(are) by (the) grace رَبِّكَ (of) your Lord rabbika
(of) your Lord بِكَاهِنٍۢ a soothsayer bikāhinin
a soothsayer وَلَا and not walā
and not مَجْنُونٍ a madman majnūnin
a madman ٢٩ (29)
(29)
Rappelle donc et par la grâce de ton Seigneur tu n’es ni un devin ni un possédé ;
52:30
أَمْ Or am
Or يَقُولُونَ (do) they say yaqūlūna
(do) they say شَاعِرٌۭ A poet shāʿirun
A poet نَّتَرَبَّصُ we wait natarabbaṣu
we wait بِهِۦ for him bihi
for him رَيْبَ a misfortune of time rayba
a misfortune of time ٱلْمَنُونِ a misfortune of time l-manūni
a misfortune of time ٣٠ (30)
(30)
Ou bien ils disent : "C’est un poète! Attendons pour lui le coup de la mort."
52:31
قُلْ Say qul
Say تَرَبَّصُوا۟ Wait tarabbaṣū
Wait فَإِنِّى for indeed I am fa-innī
for indeed I am مَعَكُم with you maʿakum
with you مِّنَ among mina
among ٱلْمُتَرَبِّصِينَ those who wait l-mutarabiṣīna
those who wait ٣١ (31)
(31)
Dis : "Attendez! Je suis avec vous parmi ceux qui attendent."
52:32
أَمْ Or am
Or تَأْمُرُهُمْ command them tamuruhum
command them أَحْلَـٰمُهُم their minds aḥlāmuhum
their minds بِهَـٰذَآ ۚ this bihādhā
this أَمْ or am
or هُمْ they hum
they قَوْمٌۭ (are) a people qawmun
(are) a people طَاغُونَ transgressing ṭāghūna
transgressing ٣٢ (32)
(32)
Est-ce leur raison qui leur commande cela? Ou sont-ils des gens outranciers ?
52:33
أَمْ Or am
Or يَقُولُونَ (do) they say yaqūlūna
(do) they say تَقَوَّلَهُۥ ۚ He has made it up taqawwalahu
He has made it up بَل Nay bal
Nay لَّا not lā
not يُؤْمِنُونَ they believe yu'minūna
they believe ٣٣ (33)
(33)
Ou bien ils disent : "Il l’a inventé lui-même ?" Non... mais ils ne croient pas.
52:34
فَلْيَأْتُوا۟ Then let them bring falyatū
Then let them bring بِحَدِيثٍۢ a statement biḥadīthin
a statement مِّثْلِهِۦٓ like it mith'lihi
like it إِن if in
if كَانُوا۟ they are kānū
they are صَـٰدِقِينَ truthful ṣādiqīna
truthful ٣٤ (34)
(34)
Eh bien, qu’ils produisent un récit pareil à lui (le Coran), s’ils sont véridiques.
52:35
أَمْ Or am
Or خُلِقُوا۟ they were created khuliqū
they were created مِنْ of min
of غَيْرِ nothing ghayri
nothing شَىْءٍ nothing shayin
nothing أَمْ or am
or هُمُ (are) they humu
(are) they ٱلْخَـٰلِقُونَ the creators l-khāliqūna
the creators ٣٥ (35)
(35)
Ont-ils été créés à partir de rien ou sont-ils eux les créateurs ?
52:36
أَمْ Or am
Or خَلَقُوا۟ (did) they create khalaqū
(did) they create ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ the heavens l-samāwāti
the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضَ ۚ and the earth wal-arḍa
and the earth بَل Nay bal
Nay لَّا not lā
not يُوقِنُونَ they are certain yūqinūna
they are certain ٣٦ (36)
(36)
Ou ont-ils créé les cieux et la Terre ? Mais ils n’ont plutôt aucune conviction.
52:37
أَمْ Or am
Or عِندَهُمْ with them ʿindahum
with them خَزَآئِنُ (are the) treasures khazāinu
(are the) treasures رَبِّكَ (of) your Lord rabbika
(of) your Lord أَمْ or am
or هُمُ (are) they humu
(are) they ٱلْمُصَۣيْطِرُونَ the controllers l-muṣayṭirūna
the controllers ٣٧ (37)
(37)
Possèdent-ils les trésors de ton Seigneur? Ou sont-ils eux les maîtres souverains ?
52:38
أَمْ Or am
Or لَهُمْ for them lahum
for them سُلَّمٌۭ (is) a stairway sullamun
(is) a stairway يَسْتَمِعُونَ they listen yastamiʿūna
they listen فِيهِ ۖ therewith fīhi
therewith فَلْيَأْتِ Then let bring falyati
Then let bring مُسْتَمِعُهُم their listener mus'tamiʿuhum
their listener بِسُلْطَـٰنٍۢ an authority bisul'ṭānin
an authority مُّبِينٍ clear mubīnin
clear ٣٨ (38)
(38)
Ont-ils une échelle d’où ils écoutent ? Que celui des leurs qui reste à l’écoute apporte une preuve évidente !
52:39
أَمْ Or am
Or لَهُ for Him lahu
for Him ٱلْبَنَـٰتُ (are) daughters l-banātu
(are) daughters وَلَكُمُ while for you walakumu
while for you ٱلْبَنُونَ (are) sons l-banūna
(are) sons ٣٩ (39)
(39)
[Allah] : aurait-Il les filles, tandis que vous, les fils ?
52:40
أَمْ Or am
Or تَسْـَٔلُهُمْ (do) you ask from them tasaluhum
(do) you ask from them أَجْرًۭا a payment ajran
a payment فَهُم so they fahum
so they مِّن from min
from مَّغْرَمٍۢ a debt maghramin
a debt مُّثْقَلُونَ (are) overburdened muth'qalūna
(are) overburdened ٤٠ (40)
(40)
Ou leur demandes-tu un salaire, de sorte qu’ils soient grevés d’une lourde dette ?
52:41
أَمْ Or am
Or عِندَهُمُ with them ʿindahumu
with them ٱلْغَيْبُ (is) the unseen l-ghaybu
(is) the unseen فَهُمْ so they fahum
so they يَكْتُبُونَ write (it) down yaktubūna
write (it) down ٤١ (41)
(41)
Ou bien détiennent-ils l’Inconnaissable pour le mentionner par écrit ?
52:42
أَمْ Or am
Or يُرِيدُونَ (do) they intend yurīdūna
(do) they intend كَيْدًۭا ۖ a plot kaydan
a plot فَٱلَّذِينَ But those who fa-alladhīna
But those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieve kafarū
disbelieve هُمُ themselves humu
themselves ٱلْمَكِيدُونَ (are in) the plot l-makīdūna
(are in) the plot ٤٢ (42)
(42)
Ou cherchent-ils un stratagème ? Mais ce sont ceux qui ont mécru qui sont victimes de leur propre stratagème.
52:43
أَمْ Or am
Or لَهُمْ for them lahum
for them إِلَـٰهٌ a god ilāhun
a god غَيْرُ other than ghayru
other than ٱللَّهِ ۚ Allah l-lahi
Allah سُبْحَـٰنَ Glory be sub'ḥāna
Glory be ٱللَّهِ (to) Allah l-lahi
(to) Allah عَمَّا from what ʿammā
from what يُشْرِكُونَ they associate (with Him) yush'rikūna
they associate (with Him) ٤٣ (43)
(43)
Ou ont-ils une autre divinité à part Allah ? Qu’Allah soit glorifié et purifié de tout ce qu’ils associent !
52:44
وَإِن And if wa-in
And if يَرَوْا۟ they were to see yaraw
they were to see كِسْفًۭا a portion kis'fan
a portion مِّنَ from mina
from ٱلسَّمَآءِ the sky l-samāi
the sky سَاقِطًۭا falling sāqiṭan
falling يَقُولُوا۟ they will say yaqūlū
they will say سَحَابٌۭ Clouds saḥābun
Clouds مَّرْكُومٌۭ heaped up markūmun
heaped up ٤٤ (44)
(44)
Et s’ils voient tomber des fragments du ciel, ils disent : "Ce sont des nuages superposés."
52:45
فَذَرْهُمْ So leave them fadharhum
So leave them حَتَّىٰ until ḥattā
until يُلَـٰقُوا۟ they meet yulāqū
they meet يَوْمَهُمُ their Day yawmahumu
their Day ٱلَّذِى which alladhī
which فِيهِ in it fīhi
in it يُصْعَقُونَ they will faint yuṣ'ʿaqūna
they will faint ٤٥ (45)
(45)
Laisse-les donc, jusqu’à ce qu’ils rencontrent leur jour où ils seront foudroyés,
52:46
يَوْمَ (The) Day yawma
(The) Day لَا not lā
not يُغْنِى will avail yugh'nī
will avail عَنْهُمْ to them ʿanhum
to them كَيْدُهُمْ their plotting kayduhum
their plotting شَيْـًۭٔا (in) anything shayan
(in) anything وَلَا and not walā
and not هُمْ they hum
they يُنصَرُونَ will be helped yunṣarūna
will be helped ٤٦ (46)
(46)
le jour où leur ruse ne leur servira à rien, où ils ne seront pas secourus.
52:47
وَإِنَّ And indeed wa-inna
And indeed لِلَّذِينَ for those who lilladhīna
for those who ظَلَمُوا۟ do wrong ẓalamū
do wrong عَذَابًۭا (is) a punishment ʿadhāban
(is) a punishment دُونَ before dūna
before ذَٰلِكَ that dhālika
that وَلَـٰكِنَّ but walākinna
but أَكْثَرَهُمْ most of them aktharahum
most of them لَا (do) not lā
(do) not يَعْلَمُونَ know yaʿlamūna
know ٤٧ (47)
(47)
Les injustes auront un châtiment préalable. Mais la plupart d’entre eux ne savent pas.
52:48
وَٱصْبِرْ So be patient wa-iṣ'bir
So be patient لِحُكْمِ for (the) Command liḥuk'mi
for (the) Command رَبِّكَ (of) your Lord rabbika
(of) your Lord فَإِنَّكَ for indeed, you fa-innaka
for indeed, you بِأَعْيُنِنَا ۖ (are) in Our Eyes bi-aʿyuninā
(are) in Our Eyes وَسَبِّحْ And glorify wasabbiḥ
And glorify بِحَمْدِ (the) praise biḥamdi
(the) praise رَبِّكَ (of) your Lord rabbika
(of) your Lord حِينَ when ḥīna
when تَقُومُ you arise taqūmu
you arise ٤٨ (48)
(48)
Et supporte patiemment la décision de ton Seigneur. Car en vérité, tu es sous Nos yeux. Et célèbre la gloire de ton Seigneur quand tu te lèves ;
52:49
وَمِنَ And of wamina
And of ٱلَّيْلِ the night al-layli
the night فَسَبِّحْهُ glorify Him fasabbiḥ'hu
glorify Him وَإِدْبَـٰرَ and after wa-id'bāra
and after ٱلنُّجُومِ the stars l-nujūmi
the stars ٤٩ (49)
(49)
Glorifie-Le une partie de la nuit et au déclin des étoiles.
