الليل

سورة الليل (الليل) هي السورة رقم ٩٢ في القرآن الكريم — وهي سورة مكية تتألف من ٢١ آية. السور المكية نزلت قبل هجرة النبي محمد ﷺ إلى المدينة، وتركّز غالبًا على الإيمان وتوحيد الله والآخرة.

بسملة
بِسْمِIn (the) namebis'miٱللَّهِ(of) Allahl-lahiٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِthe Most Graciousl-raḥmāniٱلرَّحِيمِthe Most Mercifull-raḥīmi
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
٩٢:١
وَٱلَّيْلِBy the nightwa-al-layliإِذَاwhenidhāيَغْشَىٰit coversyaghshā١
By the night when it covers
٩٢:٢
وَٱلنَّهَارِAnd the daywal-nahāriإِذَاwhenidhāتَجَلَّىٰit shines in brightnesstajallā٢
And [by] the day when it appears
٩٢:٣
وَمَاAnd He Whowamāخَلَقَcreatedkhalaqaٱلذَّكَرَthe malel-dhakaraوَٱلْأُنثَىٰٓand the femalewal-unthā٣
And [by] He who created the male and female,
٩٢:٤
إِنَّIndeedinnaسَعْيَكُمْyour effortssaʿyakumلَشَتَّىٰ(are) surely diverselashattā٤
Indeed, your efforts are diverse.
٩٢:٥
فَأَمَّاThen as forfa-ammāمَنْ(him) whomanأَعْطَىٰgivesaʿṭāوَٱتَّقَىٰand fearswa-ittaqā٥
As for he who gives and fears Allāh
٩٢:٦
وَصَدَّقَAnd believeswaṣaddaqaبِٱلْحُسْنَىٰin the bestbil-ḥus'nā٦
And believes in the best [reward],
٩٢:٧
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥThen We will ease himfasanuyassiruhuلِلْيُسْرَىٰtowards [the] easelil'yus'rā٧
We will ease him toward ease.
٩٢:٨
وَأَمَّاBut as forwa-ammāمَنۢ(him) whomanبَخِلَwithholdsbakhilaوَٱسْتَغْنَىٰand considers himself free from needwa-is'taghnā٨
But as for he who withholds and considers himself free of need
٩٢:٩
وَكَذَّبَAnd denieswakadhabaبِٱلْحُسْنَىٰthe bestbil-ḥus'nā٩
And denies the best [reward],
٩٢:١٠
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥThen We will ease himfasanuyassiruhuلِلْعُسْرَىٰtowards [the] difficultylil'ʿus'rā١٠
We will ease him toward difficulty.
٩٢:١١
وَمَاAnd notwamāيُغْنِىwill availyugh'nīعَنْهُhimʿanhuمَالُهُۥٓhis wealthmāluhuإِذَاwhenidhāتَرَدَّىٰٓhe fallstaraddā١١
And what will his wealth avail him when he falls?
٩٢:١٢
إِنَّIndeedinnaعَلَيْنَاupon Usʿalaynāلَلْهُدَىٰ(is) the guidancelalhudā١٢
Indeed, [incumbent] upon Us is guidance.
٩٢:١٣
وَإِنَّAnd indeedwa-innaلَنَاfor Uslanāلَلْـَٔاخِرَةَ(is) the Hereafterlalākhirataوَٱلْأُولَىٰand the first (life)wal-ūlā١٣
And indeed, to us belongs the Hereafter and the first [life].
٩٢:١٤
فَأَنذَرْتُكُمْSo I warn youfa-andhartukumنَارًۭا(of) a Firenāranتَلَظَّىٰblazingtalaẓẓā١٤
So I have warned you of a Fire which is blazing.
٩٢:١٥
لَاNotlāيَصْلَىٰهَآwill burn (in) ityaṣlāhāإِلَّاexceptillāٱلْأَشْقَىthe most wretchedl-ashqā١٥
None will [enter to] burn therein except the most wretched one
٩٢:١٦
ٱلَّذِىThe one whoalladhīكَذَّبَdeniedkadhabaوَتَوَلَّىٰand turned awaywatawallā١٦
Who had denied and turned away.
٩٢:١٧
وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَاBut will be removed from itwasayujannabuhāٱلْأَتْقَىthe righteousl-atqā١٧
But the righteous one will avoid it
٩٢:١٨
ٱلَّذِىThe one whoalladhīيُؤْتِىgivesyu'tīمَالَهُۥhis wealthmālahuيَتَزَكَّىٰ(to) purify himselfyatazakkā١٨
[He] who gives [from] his wealth to purify himself
٩٢:١٩
وَمَاAnd notwamāلِأَحَدٍfor anyoneli-aḥadinعِندَهُۥwith himʿindahuمِنanyminنِّعْمَةٍۢfavorniʿ'matinتُجْزَىٰٓto be recompensedtuj'zā١٩
And not [giving] for anyone who has [done him] a favor to be rewarded
٩٢:٢٠
إِلَّاExceptillāٱبْتِغَآءَseekingib'tighāaوَجْهِ(the) Countenancewajhiرَبِّهِ(of) his Lordrabbihiٱلْأَعْلَىٰthe Most Highl-aʿlā٢٠
But only seeking the face [i.e., acceptance] of his Lord, Most High.
٩٢:٢١
وَلَسَوْفَAnd soon, surelywalasawfaيَرْضَىٰhe will be pleasedyarḍā٢١
And he is going to be satisfied.
