الجن

سورة الجن (الجن) هي السورة رقم ٧٢ في القرآن الكريم — وهي سورة مكية تتألف من ٢٨ آية. السور المكية نزلت قبل هجرة النبي محمد ﷺ إلى المدينة، وتركّز غالبًا على الإيمان وتوحيد الله والآخرة.

بِسْمِIn (the) namebis'miٱللَّهِ(of) Allahl-lahiٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِthe Most Graciousl-raḥmāniٱلرَّحِيمِthe Most Mercifull-raḥīmi
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
٧٢:١
قُلْSayqulأُوحِىَIt has been revealedūḥiyaإِلَىَّto meilayyaأَنَّهُthatannahuٱسْتَمَعَlistenedis'tamaʿaنَفَرٌۭa groupnafarunمِّنَofminaٱلْجِنِّthe jinnl-jiniفَقَالُوٓا۟and they saidfaqālūإِنَّاIndeed, weinnāسَمِعْنَاheardsamiʿ'nāقُرْءَانًاa Quranqur'ānanعَجَبًۭاamazingʿajaban١
Say, [O Muḥammad], "It has been revealed to me that a group of the jinn listened and said, 'Indeed, we have heard an amazing Qur’ān [i.e., recitation].
٧٢:٢
يَهْدِىٓIt guidesyahdīإِلَىtoilāٱلرُّشْدِthe right wayl-rush'diفَـَٔامَنَّاso we believefaāmannāبِهِۦ ۖin itbihiوَلَنand neverwalanنُّشْرِكَwe will associatenush'rikaبِرَبِّنَآwith our Lordbirabbināأَحَدًۭاanyoneaḥadan٢
It guides to the right course, and we have believed in it. And we will never associate with our Lord anyone.
٧٢:٣
وَأَنَّهُۥAnd that He wa-annahuتَعَـٰلَىٰExalted istaʿālāجَدُّ(the) Majestyjadduرَبِّنَا(of) our Lord rabbināمَاnotٱتَّخَذَHe has takenittakhadhaصَـٰحِبَةًۭa wifeṣāḥibatanوَلَاand notwalāوَلَدًۭاa sonwaladan٣
And [it teaches] that exalted is the nobleness of our Lord; He has not taken a wife or a son
٧٢:٤
وَأَنَّهُۥAnd that hewa-annahuكَانَused tokānaيَقُولُspeak yaqūluسَفِيهُنَاthe foolish among ussafīhunāعَلَىagainstʿalāٱللَّهِAllahl-lahiشَطَطًۭاan excessive transgressionshaṭaṭan٤
And that our foolish one [i.e., Iblees]1 has been saying about Allāh an excessive transgression.
٧٢:٥
وَأَنَّاAnd that wewa-annāظَنَنَّآthoughtẓanannāأَنthatanلَّنneverlanتَقُولَwill saytaqūlaٱلْإِنسُthe menl-insuوَٱلْجِنُّand the jinnwal-jinuعَلَىagainstʿalāٱللَّهِAllahl-lahiكَذِبًۭاany liekadhiban٥
And we had thought that mankind and the jinn would never speak about Allāh a lie.
٧٢:٦
وَأَنَّهُۥAnd thatwa-annahuكَانَ(there) werekānaرِجَالٌۭmenrijālunمِّنَamongminaٱلْإِنسِmankindl-insiيَعُوذُونَwho sought refugeyaʿūdhūnaبِرِجَالٍۢin (the) menbirijālinمِّنَfromminaٱلْجِنِّthe jinnl-jiniفَزَادُوهُمْso they increased themfazādūhumرَهَقًۭا(in) burdenrahaqan٦
And there were men from mankind who sought refuge in men from the jinn, so they [only] increased them in burden [i.e., sin].
٧٢:٧
وَأَنَّهُمْAnd that theywa-annahumظَنُّوا۟thoughtẓannūكَمَاaskamāظَنَنتُمْyou thoughtẓanantumأَنthatanلَّنneverlanيَبْعَثَwill raiseyabʿathaٱللَّهُAllahl-lahuأَحَدًۭاanyoneaḥadan٧
And they had thought, as you thought, that Allāh would never send anyone [as a messenger].
٧٢:٨
وَأَنَّاAnd that wewa-annāلَمَسْنَاsought to touchlamasnāٱلسَّمَآءَthe heavenl-samāaفَوَجَدْنَـٰهَاbut we found itfawajadnāhāمُلِئَتْfilled (with)muli-atحَرَسًۭاguardsḥarasanشَدِيدًۭاsevereshadīdanوَشُهُبًۭاand flaming fireswashuhuban٨
And we have sought [to reach] the heaven but found it filled with powerful guards and burning flames.
٧٢:٩
وَأَنَّاAnd that wewa-annāكُنَّاused tokunnāنَقْعُدُsitnaqʿuduمِنْهَاthere inmin'hāمَقَـٰعِدَpositionsmaqāʿidaلِلسَّمْعِ ۖfor hearinglilssamʿiفَمَنbut (he) whofamanيَسْتَمِعِlistensyastamiʿiٱلْـَٔانَnowl-ānaيَجِدْwill findyajidلَهُۥfor himlahuشِهَابًۭاa flaming fireshihābanرَّصَدًۭاwaitingraṣadan٩
And we used to sit therein in positions for hearing, but whoever listens now will find a burning flame lying in wait for him.
٧٢:١٠
وَأَنَّاAnd that we wa-annāلَاnotنَدْرِىٓwe knownadrīأَشَرٌّwhether evilasharrunأُرِيدَis intendedurīdaبِمَنfor (those) whobimanفِى(are) inٱلْأَرْضِthe earthl-arḍiأَمْoramأَرَادَintendsarādaبِهِمْfor thembihimرَبُّهُمْtheir Lordrabbuhumرَشَدًۭاa right pathrashadan١٠
And we do not know [therefore] whether evil is intended for those on earth or whether their Lord intends for them a right course.
٧٢:١١
وَأَنَّاAnd that [we]wa-annāمِنَّاamong usminnāٱلصَّـٰلِحُونَ(are) the righteousl-ṣāliḥūnaوَمِنَّاand among uswaminnāدُونَ(are) other thandūnaذَٰلِكَ ۖthatdhālikaكُنَّاWekunnāطَرَآئِقَ(are on) waysṭarāiqaقِدَدًۭاdifferentqidadan١١
And among us are the righteous, and among us are [others] not so; we were [of] divided ways.
٧٢:١٢
وَأَنَّاAnd that wewa-annāظَنَنَّآ[we] have become certainẓanannāأَنthatanلَّنneverlanنُّعْجِزَwe will cause failurenuʿ'jizaٱللَّهَ(to) Allahl-lahaفِىinٱلْأَرْضِthe earthl-arḍiوَلَنand neverwalanنُّعْجِزَهُۥwe can escape Himnuʿ'jizahuهَرَبًۭا(by) flightharaban١٢
And we have become certain that we will never cause failure to Allāh upon earth, nor can we escape Him by flight.
٧٢:١٣
وَأَنَّاAnd that [we]wa-annāلَمَّاwhenlammāسَمِعْنَاwe heardsamiʿ'nāٱلْهُدَىٰٓthe Guidancel-hudāءَامَنَّاwe believedāmannāبِهِۦ ۖin itbihiفَمَنAnd whoeverfamanيُؤْمِنۢbelievesyu'minبِرَبِّهِۦin his Lordbirabbihiفَلَاthen notfalāيَخَافُhe will fearyakhāfuبَخْسًۭاany lossbakhsanوَلَاand notwalāرَهَقًۭاany burdenrahaqan١٣
And when we heard the guidance [i.e., the Qur’ān], we believed in it. And whoever believes in his Lord will not fear deprivation or burden.
٧٢:١٤
وَأَنَّاAnd that wewa-annāمِنَّاamong usminnāٱلْمُسْلِمُونَ(are) Muslimsl-mus'limūnaوَمِنَّاand among uswaminnāٱلْقَـٰسِطُونَ ۖ(are) unjustl-qāsiṭūnaفَمَنْAnd whoeverfamanأَسْلَمَsubmitsaslamaفَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَthen thosefa-ulāikaتَحَرَّوْا۟have soughttaḥarrawرَشَدًۭا(the) right pathrashadan١٤
And among us are Muslims [in submission to Allāh], and among us are the unjust. And whoever has become Muslim - those have sought out the right course.
٧٢:١٥
وَأَمَّاAnd as forwa-ammāٱلْقَـٰسِطُونَthe unjustl-qāsiṭūnaفَكَانُوا۟they will befakānūلِجَهَنَّمَfor Helllijahannamaحَطَبًۭاfirewoodḥaṭaban١٥
But as for the unjust, they will be, for Hell, firewood.'
٧٢:١٦
وَأَلَّوِAnd that ifwa-allawiٱسْتَقَـٰمُوا۟they had remainedis'taqāmūعَلَىonʿalāٱلطَّرِيقَةِthe Wayl-ṭarīqatiلَأَسْقَيْنَـٰهُمsurely We (would) have given them to drinkla-asqaynāhumمَّآءًwatermāanغَدَقًۭا(in) abundanceghadaqan١٦
And [Allāh revealed] that if they had remained straight on the way, We would have given them abundant rain [i.e., provision].
٧٢:١٧
لِّنَفْتِنَهُمْThat We might test themlinaftinahumفِيهِ ۚthereinfīhiوَمَنAnd whoeverwamanيُعْرِضْturns awayyuʿ'riḍعَنfromʿanذِكْرِthe Remembrancedhik'riرَبِّهِۦ(of) his LordrabbihiيَسْلُكْهُHe will make him enteryasluk'huعَذَابًۭاa punishmentʿadhābanصَعَدًۭاsevereṣaʿadan١٧
So We might test them therein. And whoever turns away from the remembrance of his Lord He will put into arduous punishment.
٧٢:١٨
وَأَنَّAnd thatwa-annaٱلْمَسَـٰجِدَthe masjidsl-masājidaلِلَّهِ(are) for Allahlillahiفَلَاso (do) notfalāتَدْعُوا۟calltadʿūمَعَwithmaʿaٱللَّهِAllahl-lahiأَحَدًۭاanyoneaḥadan١٨
And [He revealed] that the masjids are for Allāh, so do not invoke with Allāh anyone.
٧٢:١٩
وَأَنَّهُۥAnd thatwa-annahuلَمَّاwhenlammāقَامَstood upqāmaعَبْدُ(the) slaveʿabduٱللَّهِ(of) Allahl-lahiيَدْعُوهُcalling (upon) Himyadʿūhuكَادُوا۟they almostkādūيَكُونُونَbecameyakūnūnaعَلَيْهِaround himʿalayhiلِبَدًۭاa compacted masslibadan١٩
And that when the Servant [i.e., Prophet] of Allāh stood up supplicating Him, they almost became about him a compacted mass."1
٧٢:٢٠
قُلْSayqulإِنَّمَآOnlyinnamāأَدْعُوا۟I call uponadʿūرَبِّىmy Lordrabbīوَلَآand notwalāأُشْرِكُI associateush'rikuبِهِۦٓwith Himbihiأَحَدًۭاanyoneaḥadan٢٠
Say, [O Muḥammad], "I only invoke my Lord and do not associate with Him anyone."
٧٢:٢١
قُلْSayqulإِنِّىIndeed, Iinnīلَآ(do) notأَمْلِكُpossessamlikuلَكُمْfor youlakumضَرًّۭاany harmḍarranوَلَاand notwalāرَشَدًۭاright pathrashadan٢١
Say, "Indeed, I do not possess for you [the power of] harm or right direction."
٧٢:٢٢
قُلْSayqulإِنِّىIndeed Iinnīلَنneverlanيُجِيرَنِىcan protect meyujīranīمِنَfromminaٱللَّهِAllahl-lahiأَحَدٌۭanyoneaḥadunوَلَنْand neverwalanأَجِدَcan I findajidaمِنfromminدُونِهِۦbesides Himdūnihiمُلْتَحَدًاany refugemul'taḥadan٢٢
Say, "Indeed, there will never protect me from Allāh anyone [if I should disobey], nor will I find in other than Him a refuge.
٧٢:٢٣
إِلَّاButillāبَلَـٰغًۭا(the) notificationbalāghanمِّنَfromminaٱللَّهِAllahl-lahiوَرِسَـٰلَـٰتِهِۦ ۚand His MessageswarisālātihiوَمَنAnd whoeverwamanيَعْصِdisobeysyaʿṣiٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaوَرَسُولَهُۥand His Messengerwarasūlahuفَإِنَّthen indeedfa-innaلَهُۥfor himlahuنَارَ(is the) Firenāraجَهَنَّمَ(of) Helljahannamaخَـٰلِدِينَ(they will) abidekhālidīnaفِيهَآthereinfīhāأَبَدًاforeverabadan٢٣
But [I have for you] only notification from Allāh, and His messages." And whoever disobeys Allāh and His Messenger - then indeed, for him is the fire of Hell; they will abide therein forever.
٧٢:٢٤
حَتَّىٰٓUntilḥattāإِذَاwhenidhāرَأَوْا۟they seera-awمَاwhatيُوعَدُونَthey are promisedyūʿadūnaفَسَيَعْلَمُونَthen they will knowfasayaʿlamūnaمَنْwhomanأَضْعَفُ(is) weakeraḍʿafuنَاصِرًۭا(in) helpersnāṣiranوَأَقَلُّand fewerwa-aqalluعَدَدًۭا(in) numberʿadadan٢٤
[The disbelievers continue] until, when they see that which they are promised, then they will know who is weaker in helpers and less in number.
٧٢:٢٥
قُلْSayqulإِنْNotinأَدْرِىٓI knowadrīأَقَرِيبٌۭwhether is nearaqarībunمَّاwhatتُوعَدُونَyou are promisedtūʿadūnaأَمْor (whether)amيَجْعَلُwill appointyajʿaluلَهُۥfor itlahuرَبِّىٓmy Lordrabbīأَمَدًاa (distant) termamadan٢٥
Say, "I do not know if what you are promised is near or if my Lord will grant for it a [long] period."
٧٢:٢٦
عَـٰلِمُ(The) All-Knowerʿālimuٱلْغَيْبِ(of) the unseenl-ghaybiفَلَاso notfalāيُظْهِرُHe revealsyuẓ'hiruعَلَىٰfromʿalāغَيْبِهِۦٓHis unseenghaybihiأَحَدًا(to) anyoneaḥadan٢٦
[He is] Knower of the unseen, and He does not disclose His [knowledge of the] unseen to anyone
٧٢:٢٧
إِلَّاExceptillāمَنِwhommaniٱرْتَضَىٰHe has approvedir'taḍāمِنofminرَّسُولٍۢa Messengerrasūlinفَإِنَّهُۥand indeed, Hefa-innahuيَسْلُكُmakes to marchyaslukuمِنۢfromminبَيْنِbeforebayniيَدَيْهِhimyadayhiوَمِنْand fromwaminخَلْفِهِۦbehind himkhalfihiرَصَدًۭاa guardraṣadan٢٧
Except whom He has approved of messengers, and indeed, He sends before him [i.e., each messenger] and behind him observers
٧٢:٢٨
لِّيَعْلَمَThat He may make evidentliyaʿlamaأَنthatanقَدْindeedqadأَبْلَغُوا۟they have conveyedablaghūرِسَـٰلَـٰتِ(the) Messagesrisālātiرَبِّهِمْ(of) their Lordrabbihimوَأَحَاطَand He has encompassedwa-aḥāṭaبِمَاwhatbimāلَدَيْهِمْ(is) with themladayhimوَأَحْصَىٰand He takes accountwa-aḥṣāكُلَّ(of) allkullaشَىْءٍthingsshayinعَدَدًۢا(in) numberʿadadan٢٨
That he [i.e., Muḥammad (ﷺ)] may know that they have conveyed the messages of their Lord; and He has encompassed whatever is with them and has enumerated all things in number.
