Al-Kafirun

الكافرون

Surah Al-Kafirun (الكافرون) is chapter 109 of the Holy Quran — a Meccan surah of 6 verses (ayahs). Meccan surahs were revealed before the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) migrated to Medina and most often emphasise faith, the oneness of God and the hereafter.

Bismillah
بِسْمِIn (the) namebis'miٱللَّهِ(of) Allahl-lahiٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِthe Most Graciousl-raḥmāniٱلرَّحِيمِthe Most Mercifull-raḥīmi
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
109:1
قُلْSayqulيَـٰٓأَيُّهَاOyāayyuhāٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَdisbelieversl-kāfirūna١
Say, "O disbelievers,
109:2
لَآNotlāأَعْبُدُI worshipaʿbuduمَاwhatmāتَعْبُدُونَyou worshiptaʿbudūna٢
I do not worship what you worship.
109:3
وَلَآAnd notwalāأَنتُمْyouantumعَـٰبِدُونَ(are) worshippersʿābidūnaمَآ(of) whatmāأَعْبُدُI worshipaʿbudu٣
Nor are you worshippers of what I worship.
109:4
وَلَآAnd notwalāأَنَا۠I amanāعَابِدٌۭa worshipperʿābidunمَّا(of) whatmāعَبَدتُّمْyou worshipʿabadttum٤
Nor will I be a worshipper of what you worship.
109:5
وَلَآAnd notwalāأَنتُمْyouantumعَـٰبِدُونَ(are) worshippersʿābidūnaمَآ(of) whatmāأَعْبُدُI worshipaʿbudu٥
Nor will you be worshippers of what I worship.
109:6
لَكُمْFor youlakumدِينُكُمْ(is) your religiondīnukumوَلِىَand for mewaliyaدِينِ(is) my religiondīni٦
For you is your religion, and for me is my religion."
