Dengan nama Allah Yang Maha Pemurah, Maha Penyayang
105:1
أَلَمْ
Have not
alam
Have not تَرَ you seen tara
you seen كَيْفَ how kayfa
how فَعَلَ dealt faʿala
dealt رَبُّكَ your Lord rabbuka
your Lord بِأَصْحَـٰبِ with (the) Companions bi-aṣḥābi
with (the) Companions ٱلْفِيلِ (of the) Elephant l-fīli
(of the) Elephant ١ (1)

Tidakkah engkau mengetahui bagaimana Tuhanmu telah melakukan kepada angkatan tentera (yang dipimpin oleh pembawa) Gajah, (yang hendak meruntuhkan Kaabah)?
105:2
أَلَمْ

Bukankah Tuhanmu telah menjadikan rancangan jahat mereka dalam keadaan yang rugi dan memusnahkan mereka?
105:3
وَأَرْسَلَ
And He sent
wa-arsala
And He sent عَلَيْهِمْ against them ʿalayhim
against them طَيْرًا birds ṭayran
birds أَبَابِيلَ (in) flocks abābīla

Dan Ia telah menghantarkan kepada mereka (rombongan) burung berpasuk-pasukan, -
105:4

Yang melontar mereka dengan batu-batu dari sejenis tanah yang dibakar keras, -

فَجَعَلَهُمْ
Then He made them
fajaʿalahum
Then He made them كَعَصْفٍۢ like straw kaʿaṣfin
like straw مَّأْكُولٍۭ eaten up makūlin

Lalu Ia menjadikan mereka hancur berkecai seperti daun-daun kayu yang dimakan ulat.
