الفيل

Surah Al-Fil (الفيل) is chapter 105 of the Holy Quran — a Meccan surah of 5 verses (ayahs). Meccan surahs were revealed before the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) migrated to Medina and most often emphasise faith, the oneness of God and the hereafter.

Bismillah
بِسْمِIn (the) namebis'miٱللَّهِ(of) Allahl-lahiٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِthe Most Graciousl-raḥmāniٱلرَّحِيمِthe Most Mercifull-raḥīmi
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
105:1
أَلَمْHave notalamتَرَyou seentaraكَيْفَhowkayfaفَعَلَdealtfaʿalaرَبُّكَyour Lordrabbukaبِأَصْحَـٰبِwith (the) Companionsbi-aṣḥābiٱلْفِيلِ(of the) Elephantl-fīli١
Have you not considered, [O Muḥammad], how your Lord dealt with the companions of the elephant?
105:2
أَلَمْDid notalamيَجْعَلْHe makeyajʿalكَيْدَهُمْtheir plankaydahumفِىgofīتَضْلِيلٍۢastraytaḍlīlin٢
Did He not make their plan into misguidance?
105:3
وَأَرْسَلَAnd He sentwa-arsalaعَلَيْهِمْagainst themʿalayhimطَيْرًاbirdsṭayranأَبَابِيلَ(in) flocksabābīla٣
And He sent against them birds in flocks,
105:4
تَرْمِيهِمStriking themtarmīhimبِحِجَارَةٍۢwith stonesbiḥijāratinمِّنofminسِجِّيلٍۢbaked claysijjīlin٤
Striking them with stones of hard clay,
105:5
فَجَعَلَهُمْThen He made themfajaʿalahumكَعَصْفٍۢlike strawkaʿaṣfinمَّأْكُولٍۭeaten upmakūlin٥
And He made them like eaten straw.
