القصص
La sourate Al-Qasas (القصص) est le 28e chapitre du Saint Coran — une sourate Mecquoise de 88 versets. Les sourates mecquoises ont été révélées avant l'émigration du Prophète Muhammad (paix sur lui) à Médine et mettent souvent l'accent sur la foi, l'unicité de Dieu et l'au-delà.

بِسْمِIn (the) namebis'miٱللَّهِ(of) Allahl-lahiٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِthe Most Graciousl-raḥmāniٱلرَّحِيمِthe Most Mercifull-raḥīmi
Au nom d'Allah, le Tout Miséricordieux, le Très Miséricordieux
28:1
طسٓمٓTa Seem Meemtta-seen-meem١
Tâ, Sîn, Mîm. .
28:2
تِلْكَThesetil'kaءَايَـٰتُ(are the) Versesāyātuٱلْكِتَـٰبِ(of) the Bookl-kitābiٱلْمُبِينِthe clearl-mubīni٢
Voici les versets du Livre explicite.
28:3
نَتْلُوا۟We recitenatlūعَلَيْكَto youʿalaykaمِنfromminنَّبَإِ(the) newsnaba-iمُوسَىٰ(of) Musamūsāوَفِرْعَوْنَand Firaunwafir'ʿawnaبِٱلْحَقِّin truthbil-ḥaqiلِقَوْمٍۢfor a peopleliqawminيُؤْمِنُونَwho believeyu'minūna٣
Nous te racontons en toute vérité l’histoire de Moïse et de Pharaon, à l’intention de gens qui croient.
28:4
إِنَّIndeedinnaفِرْعَوْنَFiraunfir'ʿawnaعَلَاexalted himselfʿalāفِىinfīٱلْأَرْضِthe landl-arḍiوَجَعَلَand madewajaʿalaأَهْلَهَاits peopleahlahāشِيَعًۭا(into) sectsshiyaʿanيَسْتَضْعِفُoppressingyastaḍʿifuطَآئِفَةًۭa groupṭāifatanمِّنْهُمْamong themmin'humيُذَبِّحُslaughteringyudhabbiḥuأَبْنَآءَهُمْtheir sonsabnāahumوَيَسْتَحْىِۦand letting livewayastaḥyīنِسَآءَهُمْ ۚtheir womennisāahumإِنَّهُۥIndeed, heinnahuكَانَwaskānaمِنَofminaٱلْمُفْسِدِينَthe corruptersl-muf'sidīna٤
Pharaon était hautain sur Terre et il avait réparti en clans ses habitants afin d’abuser de la faiblesse de l’un d’eux : Il égorgeait leurs fils et laissait vivantes leurs femmes. Il était vraiment parmi les fauteurs de désordre.
28:5
وَنُرِيدُAnd We wantedwanurīduأَنtoanنَّمُنَّbestow a favornamunnaعَلَىuponʿalāٱلَّذِينَthose whoalladhīnaٱسْتُضْعِفُوا۟were oppressedus'tuḍ'ʿifūفِىinfīٱلْأَرْضِthe landl-arḍiوَنَجْعَلَهُمْand make themwanajʿalahumأَئِمَّةًۭleadersa-immatanوَنَجْعَلَهُمُand make themwanajʿalahumuٱلْوَٰرِثِينَthe inheritorsl-wārithīna٥
Mais Nous voulions favoriser ceux qui avaient été faibles sur Terre et en faire des dirigeants et en faire les héritiers.
28:6
وَنُمَكِّنَAnd [We] establishwanumakkinaلَهُمْthemlahumفِىinfīٱلْأَرْضِthe landl-arḍiوَنُرِىَand showwanuriyaفِرْعَوْنَFiraunfir'ʿawnaوَهَـٰمَـٰنَand Hamanwahāmānaوَجُنُودَهُمَاand their hostswajunūdahumāمِنْهُمthrough themmin'humمَّاwhatmāكَانُوا۟they werekānūيَحْذَرُونَfearingyaḥdharūna٦
Et Nous voulions aussi les établir puissamment sur Terre, et faire voir à Pharaon, à Hâmân, et à leurs soldats, ce qu'ils redoutaient.
28:7
وَأَوْحَيْنَآAnd We inspiredwa-awḥaynāإِلَىٰٓ[to]ilāأُمِّ(the) motherummiمُوسَىٰٓ(of) Musamūsāأَنْthatanأَرْضِعِيهِ ۖSuckle himarḍiʿīhiفَإِذَاbut whenfa-idhāخِفْتِyou fearkhif'tiعَلَيْهِfor himʿalayhiفَأَلْقِيهِthen cast himfa-alqīhiفِىin(to)fīٱلْيَمِّthe riverl-yamiوَلَاand (do) notwalāتَخَافِىfeartakhāfīوَلَاand (do) notwalāتَحْزَنِىٓ ۖgrievetaḥzanīإِنَّاIndeed, Weinnāرَآدُّوهُ(will) restore himrāddūhuإِلَيْكِto youilaykiوَجَاعِلُوهُand (will) make himwajāʿilūhuمِنَofminaٱلْمُرْسَلِينَthe Messengersl-mur'salīna٧
Et Nous révélâmes à la mère de Moïse [ceci] : "Allaite-le ! Et quand tu craindras pour lui, jette-le dans le flot ! Et n’aie pas peur et ne t’attriste pas ! Nous te le rendrons et ferons de lui un Messager."
28:8
فَٱلْتَقَطَهُۥٓThen picked him upfal-taqaṭahuءَالُ(the) familyāluفِرْعَوْنَ(of) Firaunfir'ʿawnaلِيَكُونَso that he might becomeliyakūnaلَهُمْto themlahumعَدُوًّۭاan enemyʿaduwwanوَحَزَنًا ۗand a griefwaḥazananإِنَّIndeedinnaفِرْعَوْنَFiraunfir'ʿawnaوَهَـٰمَـٰنَand Hamanwahāmānaوَجُنُودَهُمَاand their hostswajunūdahumāكَانُوا۟werekānūخَـٰطِـِٔينَsinnerskhāṭiīna٨
Alors, les gens de Pharaon le recueillirent, pour qu’il leur soit un ennemi et une source d’affliction ! Pharaon, Hâmân et leurs soldats étaient fautifs.
28:9
وَقَالَتِAnd saidwaqālatiٱمْرَأَتُ(the) wifeim'ra-atuفِرْعَوْنَ(of) Firaunfir'ʿawnaقُرَّتُA comfortqurratuعَيْنٍۢ(of the) eyeʿayninلِّىfor melīوَلَكَ ۖand for youwalakaلَا(Do) notlāتَقْتُلُوهُkill himtaqtulūhuعَسَىٰٓperhapsʿasāأَن(that)anيَنفَعَنَآhe may benefit usyanfaʿanāأَوْorawنَتَّخِذَهُۥwe may take himnattakhidhahuوَلَدًۭا(as) a sonwaladanوَهُمْAnd theywahumلَا(did) notlāيَشْعُرُونَperceiveyashʿurūna٩
Et la femme de Pharaon dit : "(Cet enfant) réjouira mon œil et le tien ! Ne le tuez pas. Il pourrait nous être utile ou le prendrons-nous pour enfant." Et ils ne pressentaient rien.
28:10
وَأَصْبَحَAnd becamewa-aṣbaḥaفُؤَادُ(the) heartfuāduأُمِّ(of the) motherummiمُوسَىٰ(of) Musamūsāفَـٰرِغًا ۖemptyfārighanإِنThatinكَادَتْshe was nearkādatلَتُبْدِى(to) disclosinglatub'dīبِهِۦabout himbihiلَوْلَآif notlawlāأَنthatanرَّبَطْنَاWe strengthenedrabaṭnāعَلَىٰ[over]ʿalāقَلْبِهَاher heartqalbihāلِتَكُونَso that she would belitakūnaمِنَofminaٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَthe believersl-mu'minīna١٠
Et le cœur de la mère de Moïse devient vide. Peu s’en fallut qu’elle ne divulguât tout, si Nous n’avions pas renforcé son cœur pour qu’elle restât du nombre des croyants.
28:11
وَقَالَتْAnd she saidwaqālatلِأُخْتِهِۦto his sisterli-ukh'tihiقُصِّيهِ ۖFollow himquṣṣīhiفَبَصُرَتْSo she watchedfabaṣuratبِهِۦhimbihiعَنfromʿanجُنُبٍۢa distancejunubinوَهُمْwhile theywahumلَا(did) notlāيَشْعُرُونَperceiveyashʿurūna١١
Elle dit à sa sœur : "Suis-le !" Elle l’aperçut alors de loin sans qu’ils ne s’en rendent compte.
28:12
۞ وَحَرَّمْنَاAnd We had forbiddenwaḥarramnāعَلَيْهِfor himʿalayhiٱلْمَرَاضِعَthe wet nursesl-marāḍiʿaمِنbeforeminقَبْلُbeforeqabluفَقَالَتْso she saidfaqālatهَلْShall Ihalأَدُلُّكُمْdirect youadullukumعَلَىٰٓtoʿalāأَهْلِ(the) peopleahliبَيْتٍۢ(of) a housebaytinيَكْفُلُونَهُۥwho will rear himyakfulūnahuلَكُمْfor youlakumوَهُمْwhile theywahumلَهُۥto himlahuنَـٰصِحُونَ(will be) sincerenāṣiḥūna١٢
Et Nous lui avions interdit auparavant (le sein) des nourrices. Elle (la sœur de Moïse) dit donc : "Voulez-vous que je vous indique les gens d’une maison qui s’en chargeront pour vous tout en étant bienveillants à son égard ?"
28:13
فَرَدَدْنَـٰهُSo We restored himfaradadnāhuإِلَىٰٓtoilāأُمِّهِۦhis motherummihiكَىْthatkayتَقَرَّmight be comfortedtaqarraعَيْنُهَاher eyeʿaynuhāوَلَاand notwalāتَحْزَنَshe may grievetaḥzanaوَلِتَعْلَمَand that she would knowwalitaʿlamaأَنَّthatannaوَعْدَthe Promise of Allahwaʿdaٱللَّهِthe Promise of Allahl-lahiحَقٌّۭ(is) trueḥaqqunوَلَـٰكِنَّButwalākinnaأَكْثَرَهُمْmost of themaktharahumلَا(do) notlāيَعْلَمُونَknowyaʿlamūna١٣
Ainsi Nous le rendîmes à sa mère, afin que son œil se réjouisse, qu’elle ne s’affligeât pas et qu’elle sût que la promesse d’Allah est vraie. Mais la plupart d’entre eux ne savent pas.
28:14
وَلَمَّاAnd whenwalammāبَلَغَhe reachedbalaghaأَشُدَّهُۥhis full strengthashuddahuوَٱسْتَوَىٰٓand became maturewa-is'tawāءَاتَيْنَـٰهُWe bestowed upon himātaynāhuحُكْمًۭاwisdomḥuk'manوَعِلْمًۭا ۚand knowledgewaʿil'manوَكَذَٰلِكَAnd thuswakadhālikaنَجْزِىWe rewardnajzīٱلْمُحْسِنِينَthe good-doersl-muḥ'sinīna١٤
Et quand il eut atteint sa maturité et sa pleine formation, Nous lui donnâmes la faculté de juger et une science. C’est ainsi que Nous récompensons les bienfaisants.
28:15
وَدَخَلَAnd he enteredwadakhalaٱلْمَدِينَةَthe cityl-madīnataعَلَىٰatʿalāحِينِa timeḥīniغَفْلَةٍۢ(of) inattentionghaflatinمِّنْofminأَهْلِهَاits peopleahlihāفَوَجَدَand foundfawajadaفِيهَاthereinfīhāرَجُلَيْنِtwo menrajulayniيَقْتَتِلَانِfighting each otheryaqtatilāniهَـٰذَاthishādhāمِنofminشِيعَتِهِۦhis partyshīʿatihiوَهَـٰذَاand thiswahādhāمِنْofminعَدُوِّهِۦ ۖhis enemyʿaduwwihiفَٱسْتَغَـٰثَهُAnd called him for helpfa-is'taghāthahuٱلَّذِىthe one whoalladhīمِن(was) fromminشِيعَتِهِۦhis partyshīʿatihiعَلَىagainstʿalāٱلَّذِىthe one whoalladhīمِنْ(was) fromminعَدُوِّهِۦhis enemyʿaduwwihiفَوَكَزَهُۥso Musa struck him with his fistfawakazahuمُوسَىٰso Musa struck him with his fistmūsāفَقَضَىٰand killed himfaqaḍāعَلَيْهِ ۖand killed himʿalayhiقَالَHe saidqālaهَـٰذَاThis (is)hādhāمِنْofminعَمَلِ(the) deedʿamaliٱلشَّيْطَـٰنِ ۖ(of) Shaitaanl-shayṭāniإِنَّهُۥIndeed, heinnahuعَدُوٌّۭ(is) an enemy ʿaduwwunمُّضِلٌّۭone who misleadsmuḍillunمُّبِينٌۭclearlymubīnun١٥
Il entra dans la ville à un moment d’inattention de ses habitants ; il y trouva deux hommes qui se battaient, l’un était de ses partisans et l’autre de ses adversaires. L’homme de son parti l’appela au secours contre son ennemi. Moïse lui donna alors un coup de poing qui l’acheva. - [Moïse] dit : "Cela est l’œuvre du Diable (Satan). C’est vraiment un ennemi, un égareur évident."
28:16
قَالَHe saidqālaرَبِّMy LordrabbiإِنِّىIndeed, Iinnīظَلَمْتُ[I] have wrongedẓalamtuنَفْسِىmy soulnafsīفَٱغْفِرْso forgivefa-igh'firلِى[for] melīفَغَفَرَThen He forgavefaghafaraلَهُۥٓ ۚ[for] himlahuإِنَّهُۥIndeed HeinnahuهُوَHe (is)huwaٱلْغَفُورُthe Oft-Forgivingl-ghafūruٱلرَّحِيمُthe Most Mercifull-raḥīmu١٦
Il dit : "Seigneur ! Je me suis fait du tort à moi-même; pardonne-moi !" Et Il lui pardonna. C’est Lui vraiment le Pardonneur, le Miséricordieux !
28:17
قَالَHe saidqālaرَبِّMy LordrabbiبِمَآBecausebimāأَنْعَمْتَYou have favoredanʿamtaعَلَىَّ[on] meʿalayyaفَلَنْso notfalanأَكُونَI will beakūnaظَهِيرًۭاa supporterẓahīranلِّلْمُجْرِمِينَ(of) the criminalslil'muj'rimīna١٧
Il dit : "Seigneur ! Grâce aux bienfaits dont tu m’as comblé, jamais je ne soutiendrai les criminels."
28:18
فَأَصْبَحَIn the morning he wasfa-aṣbaḥaفِىinfīٱلْمَدِينَةِthe cityl-madīnatiخَآئِفًۭاfearfulkhāifanيَتَرَقَّبُ(and) was vigilantyataraqqabuفَإِذَاwhen beholdfa-idhāٱلَّذِىThe one whoalladhīٱسْتَنصَرَهُۥsought his helpis'tanṣarahuبِٱلْأَمْسِthe previous daybil-amsiيَسْتَصْرِخُهُۥ ۚcried out to him for helpyastaṣrikhuhuقَالَSaidqālaلَهُۥto himlahuمُوسَىٰٓMusamūsāإِنَّكَIndeed, youinnakaلَغَوِىٌّۭ(are) surely a deviatorlaghawiyyunمُّبِينٌۭclearmubīnun١٨
Le lendemain matin, il se trouva en ville, craintif et regardant autour de lui, quand voilà que celui qui lui avait demandé secours la veille, l’appela à grand cris. Moïse lui dit : “Tu es certes un provocateur déclaré !”
28:19
فَلَمَّآThen whenfalammāأَنْ[that]anأَرَادَhe wantedarādaأَنtoanيَبْطِشَstrikeyabṭishaبِٱلَّذِىthe one whobi-alladhīهُوَ[he] (was)huwaعَدُوٌّۭan enemyʿaduwwunلَّهُمَاto both of themlahumāقَالَhe saidqālaيَـٰمُوسَىٰٓO MusayāmūsāأَتُرِيدُDo you intendaturīduأَنtoanتَقْتُلَنِىkill metaqtulanīكَمَاaskamāقَتَلْتَyou killedqataltaنَفْسًۢاa personnafsanبِٱلْأَمْسِ ۖyesterdaybil-amsiإِنNotinتُرِيدُyou wantturīduإِلَّآbutillāأَنthatanتَكُونَyou becometakūnaجَبَّارًۭاa tyrantjabbāranفِىinfīٱلْأَرْضِthe earthl-arḍiوَمَاand notwamāتُرِيدُyou wantturīduأَنthatanتَكُونَyou betakūnaمِنَofminaٱلْمُصْلِحِينَthe reformersl-muṣ'liḥīna١٩
Quand il voulut porter un coup à leur ennemi commun, il (l’Israélite) dit: “Ô Moïse ! Veux-tu me tuer comme tu as tué un homme hier ? Tu ne veux être qu’un tyran sur Terre ; et tu ne veux pas être parmi les réconciliateurs.”
28:20
وَجَآءَAnd camewajāaرَجُلٌۭa manrajulunمِّنْfromminأَقْصَا(the) farthest endaqṣāٱلْمَدِينَةِ(of) the cityl-madīnatiيَسْعَىٰrunningyasʿāقَالَHe saidqālaيَـٰمُوسَىٰٓO MusayāmūsāإِنَّIndeedinnaٱلْمَلَأَthe chiefsl-mala-aيَأْتَمِرُونَare taking counselyatamirūnaبِكَabout youbikaلِيَقْتُلُوكَto kill youliyaqtulūkaفَٱخْرُجْso leavefa-ukh'rujإِنِّىindeed, I aminnīلَكَto youlakaمِنَofminaٱلنَّـٰصِحِينَthe sincere advisorsl-nāṣiḥīna٢٠
Et c’est alors qu’un homme vint du bout de la ville en courant et dit : "Ô Moïse ! Les notables sont en train de se concerter à ton sujet pour te tuer. Quitte (la ville). C’est le conseil que je te donne."
28:21
فَخَرَجَSo he leftfakharajaمِنْهَاfrom itmin'hāخَآئِفًۭاfearingkhāifanيَتَرَقَّبُ ۖ(and) vigilantyataraqqabuقَالَHe saidqālaرَبِّMy LordrabbiنَجِّنِىSave menajjinīمِنَfromminaٱلْقَوْمِthe people l-qawmiٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَthe wrongdoersl-ẓālimīna٢١
Il sortit de là, craintif, regardant autour de lui. Il dit : "Seigneur ! Sauve-moi de [ce] peuple injuste !"
28:22
وَلَمَّاAnd whenwalammāتَوَجَّهَhe turned his facetawajjahaتِلْقَآءَtowardstil'qāaمَدْيَنَMadyanmadyanaقَالَhe saidqālaعَسَىٰPerhapsʿasāرَبِّىٓmy Lordrabbīأَن[that]anيَهْدِيَنِىwill guide meyahdiyanīسَوَآءَ(to the) soundsawāaٱلسَّبِيلِwayl-sabīli٢٢
Et lorsqu’il se dirigea vers Madyan, il dit : “Il se peut que mon Seigneur me guide sur la voie droite.”
28:23
وَلَمَّاAnd whenwalammāوَرَدَhe camewaradaمَآءَ(to the) watermāaمَدْيَنَ(of) Madyanmadyanaوَجَدَhe foundwajadaعَلَيْهِon itʿalayhiأُمَّةًۭa groupummatanمِّنَofminaٱلنَّاسِmenl-nāsiيَسْقُونَwateringyasqūnaوَوَجَدَand he foundwawajadaمِنbesides themminدُونِهِمُbesides themdūnihimuٱمْرَأَتَيْنِtwo womenim'ra-atayniتَذُودَانِ ۖkeeping backtadhūdāniقَالَHe saidqālaمَاWhatmāخَطْبُكُمَا ۖ(is the) matter with both of youkhaṭbukumāقَالَتَاThey saidqālatāلَاWe cannot waterlāنَسْقِىWe cannot waternasqīحَتَّىٰuntilḥattāيُصْدِرَtake awayyuṣ'diraٱلرِّعَآءُ ۖthe shepherdsl-riʿāuوَأَبُونَاand our fatherwa-abūnāشَيْخٌۭ(is) a very old manshaykhunكَبِيرٌۭ(is) a very old mankabīrun٢٣
Et quand il fut arrivé au point d’eau de Madyan, il y trouva un attroupement de gens abreuvant [leur bêtes] et il trouva aussi deux femmes se tenant à l’écart et retenant [leurs bêtes]. Il dit : "Que voulez-vous ?" Elles dirent : "Nous n’abreuverons que quand les bergers seront partis; et notre père est fort âgé."
28:24
فَسَقَىٰSo he wateredfasaqāلَهُمَاfor themlahumāثُمَّThenthummaتَوَلَّىٰٓhe turned backtawallāإِلَىtoilāٱلظِّلِّthe shadel-ẓiliفَقَالَand saidfaqālaرَبِّMy LordrabbiإِنِّىIndeed, I aminnīلِمَآof whateverlimāأَنزَلْتَYou sendanzaltaإِلَىَّto meilayyaمِنْofminخَيْرٍۢgoodkhayrinفَقِيرٌۭ(in) needfaqīrun٢٤
Il abreuva [les bêtes] pour elles, puis retourna à l’ombre et dit : "Seigneur ! J’ai grand besoin du bien que tu feras descendre vers moi."
28:25
فَجَآءَتْهُThen came to himfajāathuإِحْدَىٰهُمَاone of the two womeniḥ'dāhumāتَمْشِىwalkingtamshīعَلَىwithʿalāٱسْتِحْيَآءٍۢshynessis'tiḥ'yāinقَالَتْShe saidqālatإِنَّIndeedinnaأَبِىmy fatherabīيَدْعُوكَcalls youyadʿūkaلِيَجْزِيَكَthat he may reward youliyajziyakaأَجْرَ(the) rewardajraمَا(for) whatmāسَقَيْتَyou wateredsaqaytaلَنَا ۚfor uslanāفَلَمَّاSo whenfalammāجَآءَهُۥhe came to himjāahuوَقَصَّand narratedwaqaṣṣaعَلَيْهِto himʿalayhiٱلْقَصَصَthe storyl-qaṣaṣaقَالَhe saidqālaلَا(Do) notlāتَخَفْ ۖfeartakhafنَجَوْتَYou have escapednajawtaمِنَfromminaٱلْقَوْمِthe people l-qawmiٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَthe wrongdoersl-ẓālimīna٢٥
Puis, l’une des deux femmes vint à lui, d’une démarche timide, et lui dit : "Mon père t’appelle pour te récompenser pour avoir abreuvé pour nous." Et quand il fut venu auprès de lui et qu’il lui eut raconté son histoire, il (le vieillard) dit : "N’aie aucune crainte ! Tu as échappé aux gens injustes."
28:26
قَالَتْSaidqālatإِحْدَىٰهُمَاone of themiḥ'dāhumāيَـٰٓأَبَتِO my fatheryāabatiٱسْتَـْٔجِرْهُ ۖHire himis'tajir'huإِنَّIndeedinnaخَيْرَ(the) bestkhayraمَنِwhommaniٱسْتَـْٔجَرْتَyou (can) hireis'tajartaٱلْقَوِىُّ(is) the strongl-qawiyuٱلْأَمِينُthe trustworthyl-amīnu٢٦
L’une d’elles dit : "Ô mon père ! Engage-le [à ton service] moyennant salaire, car le meilleur à engager c’est celui qui est fort et digne de confiance."
28:27
قَالَHe saidqālaإِنِّىٓIndeed, Iinnīأُرِيدُ[I] wishurīduأَنْtoanأُنكِحَكَmarry you tounkiḥakaإِحْدَىoneiḥ'dāٱبْنَتَىَّ(of) my daughtersib'natayyaهَـٰتَيْنِ(of) these twohātayniعَلَىٰٓonʿalāأَنthatanتَأْجُرَنِىyou serve metajuranīثَمَـٰنِىَ(for) eightthamāniyaحِجَجٍۢ ۖyearsḥijajinفَإِنْbut iffa-inأَتْمَمْتَyou completeatmamtaعَشْرًۭاtenʿashranفَمِنْthen fromfaminعِندِكَ ۖyouʿindikaوَمَآAnd notwamāأُرِيدُI wishurīduأَنْtoanأَشُقَّmake it difficultashuqqaعَلَيْكَ ۚfor youʿalaykaسَتَجِدُنِىٓYou will find mesatajidunīإِنifinشَآءَAllah willsshāaٱللَّهُAllah willsl-lahuمِنَofminaٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَthe righteousl-ṣāliḥīna٢٧
Il dit : "Je voudrais te marier à l’une de mes deux filles que voici, à condition que tu travailles à mon service durant huit ans. Si tu achèves dix [années], ce sera de ton bon gré; je ne veux cependant rien t’imposer d’excessif. Tu me trouveras, si Allah le veut, du nombre des gens de bien."
28:28
قَالَHe saidqālaذَٰلِكَThatdhālikaبَيْنِى(is) between mebaynīوَبَيْنَكَ ۖand between youwabaynakaأَيَّمَاWhicheverayyamāٱلْأَجَلَيْنِ(of) the two termsl-ajalayniقَضَيْتُI completeqaḍaytuفَلَاthen nofalāعُدْوَٰنَinjusticeʿud'wānaعَلَىَّ ۖto meʿalayyaوَٱللَّهُand Allahwal-lahuعَلَىٰoverʿalāمَاwhatmāنَقُولُwe saynaqūluوَكِيلٌۭ(is) a Witnesswakīlun٢٨
"C’est (conclu) entre toi et moi, dit [Moïse]. Quel que soit celui des deux termes que je m’assigne, il n’y aura nulle pression sur moi. Et Allah est Garant de ce que nous disons."
28:29
۞ فَلَمَّاThen whenfalammāقَضَىٰMusa fulfilledqaḍāمُوسَىMusa fulfilledmūsāٱلْأَجَلَthe terml-ajalaوَسَارَand was travelingwasāraبِأَهْلِهِۦٓwith his familybi-ahlihiءَانَسَhe sawānasaمِنinminجَانِبِ(the) directionjānibiٱلطُّورِ(of) Mount Turl-ṭūriنَارًۭاa firenāranقَالَHe saidqālaلِأَهْلِهِto his familyli-ahlihiٱمْكُثُوٓا۟Stay hereum'kuthūإِنِّىٓindeed, Iinnīءَانَسْتُ[I] perceiveānastuنَارًۭاa firenāranلَّعَلِّىٓPerhapslaʿallīءَاتِيكُمI will bring youātīkumمِّنْهَاfrom theremin'hāبِخَبَرٍsome informationbikhabarinأَوْorawجَذْوَةٍۢa burning woodjadhwatinمِّنَfromminaٱلنَّارِthe firel-nāriلَعَلَّكُمْso that you maylaʿallakumتَصْطَلُونَwarm yourselvestaṣṭalūna٢٩
Puis, lorsque Moïse eut accompli la période convenue et qu’il se mit en route avec sa famille, il vit un feu du côté du Mont. Il dit à sa famille : "Demeurez ici ! J’ai vu du feu. Peut-être vous en apporterai-je une nouvelle ou un tison de feu afin que vous vous réchauffiez.
28:30
فَلَمَّآBut whenfalammāأَتَىٰهَاhe came (to) itatāhāنُودِىَhe was callednūdiyaمِنfromminشَـٰطِئِ(the) sideshāṭi-iٱلْوَادِ(of) the valley l-wādiٱلْأَيْمَنِthe rightl-aymaniفِىinfīٱلْبُقْعَةِthe place evenl-buq'ʿatiٱلْمُبَـٰرَكَةِblessedl-mubārakatiمِنَfromminaٱلشَّجَرَةِthe treel-shajaratiأَنthatanيَـٰمُوسَىٰٓO MusayāmūsāإِنِّىٓIndeedinnīأَنَاI AmanāٱللَّهُAllahl-lahuرَبُّ(the) Lordrabbuٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ(of) the worldsl-ʿālamīna٣٠
Puis quand il y arriva, on l’appela, du flanc droit de la vallée, dans la place bénie, à partir de l’arbre : "Ô Moïse ! C’est Moi Allah, le Seigneur de l’Univers".
28:31
وَأَنْAnd [that]wa-anأَلْقِthrowalqiعَصَاكَ ۖyour staffʿaṣākaفَلَمَّاBut whenfalammāرَءَاهَاhe saw itraāhāتَهْتَزُّmovingtahtazzuكَأَنَّهَاas if itka-annahāجَآنٌّۭ(were) a snakejānnunوَلَّىٰhe turnedwallāمُدْبِرًۭا(in) flightmud'biranوَلَمْand (did) notwalamيُعَقِّبْ ۚreturnyuʿaqqibيَـٰمُوسَىٰٓO MusayāmūsāأَقْبِلْDraw nearaqbilوَلَاand (do) notwalāتَخَفْ ۖfeartakhafإِنَّكَIndeed, youinnakaمِنَ(are) ofminaٱلْـَٔامِنِينَthe securel-āminīna٣١
Et : "Jette ton bâton !" Puis, quand il le vit remuer comme si c’était un serpent, il tourna le dos sans même se retourner." ô Moïse ! Approche et n’aie pas peur ! Tu es du nombre de ceux qui sont en sécurité.
28:32
ٱسْلُكْInsertus'lukيَدَكَyour handyadakaفِىinfīجَيْبِكَyour bosomjaybikaتَخْرُجْit will come forthtakhrujبَيْضَآءَwhitebayḍāaمِنْwithoutminغَيْرِwithoutghayriسُوٓءٍۢany harmsūinوَٱضْمُمْAnd drawwa-uḍ'mumإِلَيْكَto yourselvesilaykaجَنَاحَكَyour handjanāḥakaمِنَagainstminaٱلرَّهْبِ ۖfearl-rahbiفَذَٰنِكَSo thesefadhānikaبُرْهَـٰنَانِ(are) two evidencesbur'hānāniمِنfromminرَّبِّكَyour LordrabbikaإِلَىٰtoilāفِرْعَوْنَFiraunfir'ʿawnaوَمَلَإِي۟هِۦٓ ۚand his chiefswamala-ihiإِنَّهُمْIndeed, theyinnahumكَانُوا۟arekānūقَوْمًۭاa peopleqawmanفَـٰسِقِينَdefiantly disobedientfāsiqīna٣٢
Introduis ta main dans l’ouverture de ta tunique ! Elle sortira blanche sans aucun mal. Et serre ton bras contre toi pour ne pas avoir peur. Voilà donc deux preuves de ton Seigneur pour Pharaon et ses notables. Ce sont vraiment des gens pervers."
28:33
قَالَHe saidqālaرَبِّMy LordrabbiإِنِّىIndeedinnīقَتَلْتُI killedqataltuمِنْهُمْof themmin'humنَفْسًۭاa mannafsanفَأَخَافُand I fearfa-akhāfuأَنthatanيَقْتُلُونِthey will kill meyaqtulūni٣٣
"Seigneur, dit [Moïse], j’ai tué un des leurs et je crains qu’ils ne me tuent.
28:34
وَأَخِىAnd my brotherwa-akhīهَـٰرُونُHarunhārūnuهُوَhehuwaأَفْصَحُ(is) more eloquentafṣaḥuمِنِّىthan meminnīلِسَانًۭا(in) speechlisānanفَأَرْسِلْهُso send himfa-arsil'huمَعِىَwith memaʿiyaرِدْءًۭا(as) a helperrid'anيُصَدِّقُنِىٓ ۖwho will confirm meyuṣaddiqunīإِنِّىٓIndeedinnīأَخَافُI fearakhāfuأَنthatanيُكَذِّبُونِthey will deny meyukadhibūni٣٤
Mais Aaron, mon frère, est plus éloquent que moi. Envoie-le donc avec moi comme auxiliaire, pour déclarer ma véracité ! Je crains, vraiment, qu’ils ne me traitent de menteur."
28:35
قَالَHe saidqālaسَنَشُدُّWe will strengthensanashudduعَضُدَكَyour armʿaḍudakaبِأَخِيكَthrough your brotherbi-akhīkaوَنَجْعَلُand We will makewanajʿaluلَكُمَاfor both of youlakumāسُلْطَـٰنًۭاan authoritysul'ṭānanفَلَاso notfalāيَصِلُونَthey will reachyaṣilūnaإِلَيْكُمَا ۚto both of youilaykumāبِـَٔايَـٰتِنَآThrough Our Signsbiāyātināأَنتُمَاyou twoantumāوَمَنِand (those) whowamaniٱتَّبَعَكُمَاfollow youittabaʿakumāٱلْغَـٰلِبُونَ(will) be the dominantl-ghālibūna٣٥
[Allah] dit : "Nous allons t'apporter le soutien de ton frère, et vous donner, à vous deux, des arguments irréfutables ; ils ne sauront vous atteindre, grâce à Nos signes [Nos miracles]. Vous deux et ceux qui vous suivront serez les vainqueurs.
28:36
فَلَمَّاBut whenfalammāجَآءَهُمcame to themjāahumمُّوسَىٰMusamūsāبِـَٔايَـٰتِنَاwith Our Signsbiāyātināبَيِّنَـٰتٍۢclearbayyinātinقَالُوا۟they saidqālūمَاNotmāهَـٰذَآ(is) thishādhāإِلَّاexceptillāسِحْرٌۭa magicsiḥ'runمُّفْتَرًۭىinventedmuf'taranوَمَاand notwamāسَمِعْنَاwe heardsamiʿ'nāبِهَـٰذَاof thisbihādhāفِىٓamongfīءَابَآئِنَاour forefathersābāināٱلْأَوَّلِينَour forefathersl-awalīna٣٦
Puis, quand Moïse vint à eux avec Nos prodiges évidents, ils dirent : "Ce n’est là que magie inventée. Jamais nous n’avons entendu parler de cela chez nos premiers ancêtres."
28:37
وَقَالَAnd Musa saidwaqālaمُوسَىٰAnd Musa saidmūsāرَبِّىٓMy Lordrabbīأَعْلَمُknows bestaʿlamuبِمَنof whobimanجَآءَhas comejāaبِٱلْهُدَىٰwith [the] guidancebil-hudāمِنْfrom Himminعِندِهِۦfrom Himʿindihiوَمَنand who wamanتَكُونُwill betakūnuلَهُۥfor himlahuعَـٰقِبَةُthe good end in the Hereafterʿāqibatuٱلدَّارِ ۖthe good end in the Hereafterl-dāriإِنَّهُۥIndeedinnahuلَاnotlāيُفْلِحُwill be successfulyuf'liḥuٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَthe wrongdoersl-ẓālimūna٣٧
Et Moïse dit : "Mon Seigneur connaît mieux qui est venu de Sa part avec la guidée, et à qui appartiendra la Demeure finale. Vraiment, les injustes ne réussiront pas."
28:38
وَقَالَAnd Firaun saidwaqālaفِرْعَوْنُAnd Firaun saidfir'ʿawnuيَـٰٓأَيُّهَاO chiefsyāayyuhāٱلْمَلَأُO chiefsl-mala-uمَاNotmāعَلِمْتُI knowʿalim'tuلَكُمfor youlakumمِّنْanyminإِلَـٰهٍgodilāhinغَيْرِىother than meghayrīفَأَوْقِدْSo kindlefa-awqidلِىfor melīيَـٰهَـٰمَـٰنُO HamanyāhāmānuعَلَىUponʿalāٱلطِّينِthe clayl-ṭīniفَٱجْعَلand makefa-ij'ʿalلِّىfor melīصَرْحًۭاa lofty towerṣarḥanلَّعَلِّىٓso that [I]laʿallīأَطَّلِعُI may lookaṭṭaliʿuإِلَىٰٓatilāإِلَـٰهِ(the) Godilāhiمُوسَىٰ(of) MusamūsāوَإِنِّىAnd indeed, Iwa-innīلَأَظُنُّهُۥ[I] think that hela-aẓunnuhuمِنَ(is) ofminaٱلْكَـٰذِبِينَthe liarsl-kādhibīna٣٨
Et Pharaon dit : "Ô notables ! Je ne connais pas de divinité pour vous, autre que moi. Hâmân, allume-moi du feu sur l’argile, puis construis-moi une tour peut-être alors monterai-je jusqu’au Dieu de Moïse. Et je pense plutôt qu’il est du nombre des menteurs."
28:39
وَٱسْتَكْبَرَAnd he was arrogantwa-is'takbaraهُوَAnd he was arroganthuwaوَجُنُودُهُۥand his hostswajunūduhuفِىinfīٱلْأَرْضِthe landl-arḍiبِغَيْرِwithoutbighayriٱلْحَقِّrightl-ḥaqiوَظَنُّوٓا۟and they thoughtwaẓannūأَنَّهُمْthat theyannahumإِلَيْنَاto Usilaynāلَاnotlāيُرْجَعُونَwill be returnedyur'jaʿūna٣٩
Et il s’enfla d’orgueil sur terre ainsi que ses soldats, sans aucun droit. Et ils pensèrent qu’ils ne seraient pas ramenés vers Nous.
28:40
فَأَخَذْنَـٰهُSo We seized himfa-akhadhnāhuوَجُنُودَهُۥand his hostswajunūdahuفَنَبَذْنَـٰهُمْand We threw themfanabadhnāhumفِىinfīٱلْيَمِّ ۖthe seal-yamiفَٱنظُرْSo seefa-unẓurكَيْفَhowkayfaكَانَwaskānaعَـٰقِبَةُ(the) endʿāqibatuٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ(of) the wrongdoersl-ẓālimīna٤٠
Nous le saisîmes donc, ainsi que ses soldats, et les jetâmes dans le flot. Regarde donc quelle a été l’issue finale des injustes.
28:41
وَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمْAnd We made themwajaʿalnāhumأَئِمَّةًۭleadersa-immatanيَدْعُونَinvitingyadʿūnaإِلَىtoilāٱلنَّارِ ۖthe Firel-nāriوَيَوْمَand (on the) Daywayawmaٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ(of) the Resurrectionl-qiyāmatiلَاnotlāيُنصَرُونَthey will be helpedyunṣarūna٤١
Nous fîmes d’eux des dirigeants qui appellent les gens au Feu. Et au Jour de la Résurrection ils ne seront pas secourus.
28:42
وَأَتْبَعْنَـٰهُمْAnd We caused to follow themwa-atbaʿnāhumفِىinfīهَـٰذِهِthishādhihiٱلدُّنْيَاworldl-dun'yāلَعْنَةًۭ ۖa curselaʿnatanوَيَوْمَand (on the) Daywayawmaٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ(of) the Resurrectionl-qiyāmatiهُمtheyhumمِّنَ(will be) ofminaٱلْمَقْبُوحِينَthe despisedl-maqbūḥīna٤٢
Nous les fîmes suivre, dans cette vie ici-bas, d’une malédiction. Et au Jour de la Résurrection, ils seront parmi les honnis.
28:43
وَلَقَدْAnd verilywalaqadءَاتَيْنَاWe gaveātaynāمُوسَىMusamūsāٱلْكِتَـٰبَthe Scripturel-kitābaمِنۢafter [what]minبَعْدِafter [what]baʿdiمَآafter [what]māأَهْلَكْنَاWe had destroyedahlaknāٱلْقُرُونَthe generationsl-qurūnaٱلْأُولَىٰformerl-ūlāبَصَآئِرَ(as) an enlightenmentbaṣāiraلِلنَّاسِfor the mankindlilnnāsiوَهُدًۭىand a guidancewahudanوَرَحْمَةًۭand mercywaraḥmatanلَّعَلَّهُمْthat they maylaʿallahumيَتَذَكَّرُونَrememberyatadhakkarūna٤٣
Nous avons en effet, donné le Livre à Moïse, - après avoir fait périr les premières générations, - en tant que preuves illuminantes pour les gens, ainsi que guidée et miséricorde afin qu’ils se souviennent.
28:44
وَمَاAnd notwamāكُنتَyou werekuntaبِجَانِبِon (the) sidebijānibiٱلْغَرْبِىِّwesternl-gharbiyiإِذْwhenidhقَضَيْنَآWe decreedqaḍaynāإِلَىٰtoilāمُوسَىMusamūsāٱلْأَمْرَthe Commandmentl-amraوَمَاand notwamāكُنتَyou werekuntaمِنَamongminaٱلشَّـٰهِدِينَthe witnessesl-shāhidīna٤٤
Tu n’étais pas sur le versant ouest (du Sinaï), quand Nous avons décrété les commandements à Moïse, et tu n’étais pas parmi les témoins.
28:45
وَلَـٰكِنَّآBut Wewalākinnāأَنشَأْنَا[We] producedanshanāقُرُونًۭاgenerationsqurūnanفَتَطَاوَلَand prolongedfataṭāwalaعَلَيْهِمُfor themʿalayhimuٱلْعُمُرُ ۚthe lifel-ʿumuruوَمَاAnd notwamāكُنتَyou werekuntaثَاوِيًۭاa dwellerthāwiyanفِىٓamongfīأَهْلِ(the) peopleahliمَدْيَنَ(of) Madyanmadyanaتَتْلُوا۟recitingtatlūعَلَيْهِمْto themʿalayhimءَايَـٰتِنَاOur Versesāyātināوَلَـٰكِنَّاbut Wewalākinnāكُنَّا[We] werekunnāمُرْسِلِينَthe Sendersmur'silīna٤٥
Mais Nous avons fait naître des générations dont l’âge s’est prolongé. Et tu n’étais pas [non plus] résident parmi les gens de Madyan leur récitant Nos versets ; mais c’est Nous qui envoyons les Envoyés.
28:46
وَمَاAnd notwamāكُنتَyou werekuntaبِجَانِبِat (the) sidebijānibiٱلطُّورِ(of) the Turl-ṭūriإِذْwhenidhنَادَيْنَاWe callednādaynāوَلَـٰكِنButwalākinرَّحْمَةًۭ(as) a mercyraḥmatanمِّنfromminرَّبِّكَyour Lordrabbikaلِتُنذِرَso that you warnlitundhiraقَوْمًۭاa peopleqawmanمَّآnotmāأَتَىٰهُم(had) come to thematāhumمِّنanyminنَّذِيرٍۢwarnernadhīrinمِّنbefore youminقَبْلِكَbefore youqablikaلَعَلَّهُمْso that they maylaʿallahumيَتَذَكَّرُونَrememberyatadhakkarūna٤٦
Et tu n’étais pas au flanc du Mont Tûr quand Nous avons appelé. Mais (tu es venu comme) une miséricorde de ton Seigneur, pour avertir un peuple à qui nul avertisseur avant toi n’est venu, afin qu’ils se souviennent.
28:47
وَلَوْلَآAnd if notwalawlāأَن[that]anتُصِيبَهُمstruck themtuṣībahumمُّصِيبَةٌۢa disastermuṣībatunبِمَاfor whatbimāقَدَّمَتْhad sent forthqaddamatأَيْدِيهِمْtheir handsaydīhimفَيَقُولُوا۟and they would sayfayaqūlūرَبَّنَاOur LordrabbanāلَوْلَآWhy notlawlāأَرْسَلْتَYou sentarsaltaإِلَيْنَاto usilaynāرَسُولًۭاa Messengerrasūlanفَنَتَّبِعَso we (could have) followedfanattabiʿaءَايَـٰتِكَYour Versesāyātikaوَنَكُونَand we (would) have beenwanakūnaمِنَofminaٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَthe believersl-mu'minīna٤٧
Si un malheur les atteignait en rétribution de ce que leurs propres mains avaient préparé, ils diraient : "Seigneur ! Pourquoi ne nous as-Tu pas envoyé un Messager ? Nous aurions alors suivi Tes versets et nous aurions été croyants."
28:48
فَلَمَّاBut whenfalammāجَآءَهُمُcame to themjāahumuٱلْحَقُّthe truthl-ḥaquمِنْfrom Usminعِندِنَاfrom Usʿindināقَالُوا۟they saidqālūلَوْلَآWhy notlawlāأُوتِىَhe was givenūtiyaمِثْلَ(the) likemith'laمَآ(of) whatmāأُوتِىَwas givenūtiyaمُوسَىٰٓ ۚ(to) MusamūsāأَوَلَمْDid notawalamيَكْفُرُوا۟they disbelieveyakfurūبِمَآin whatbimāأُوتِىَwas givenūtiyaمُوسَىٰ(to) Musamūsāمِنbeforeminقَبْلُ ۖbeforeqabluقَالُوا۟They saidqālūسِحْرَانِTwo magic (works)siḥ'rāniتَظَـٰهَرَاsupporting each othertaẓāharāوَقَالُوٓا۟And they saidwaqālūإِنَّاIndeed, weinnāبِكُلٍّۢin allbikullinكَـٰفِرُونَ(are) disbelieverskāfirūna٤٨
Mais quand la vérité leur est venue de Notre part, ils ont dit: "Si seulement il avait reçu la même chose que Moïse !" Est-ce qu’ils n’ont pas nié ce qui auparavant fut apporté à Moïse ? Ils dirent: "Deux magies se sont mutuellement soutenues !" Et ils dirent: "Nous n’avons foi en aucune."
28:49
قُلْSayqulفَأْتُوا۟Then bringfatūبِكِتَـٰبٍۢa Bookbikitābinمِّنْfrom Allahminعِندِfrom Allahʿindiٱللَّهِfrom Allahl-lahiهُوَwhichhuwaأَهْدَىٰ(is) a better guideahdāمِنْهُمَآthan both of themmin'humāأَتَّبِعْهُthat I may follow itattabiʿ'huإِنifinكُنتُمْyou arekuntumصَـٰدِقِينَtruthfulṣādiqīna٤٩
Dis-leur : "Apportez donc un Livre venant d’Allah qui soit meilleur guide que ces deux-là, et je le suivrai si vous êtes véridiques."
28:50
فَإِنBut iffa-inلَّمْnotlamيَسْتَجِيبُوا۟they respondyastajībūلَكَto youlakaفَٱعْلَمْthen knowfa-iʿ'lamأَنَّمَاthat onlyannamāيَتَّبِعُونَthey followyattabiʿūnaأَهْوَآءَهُمْ ۚtheir desiresahwāahumوَمَنْAnd whowamanأَضَلُّ(is) more astrayaḍalluمِمَّنِthan (one) whomimmaniٱتَّبَعَfollowsittabaʿaهَوَىٰهُhis own desirehawāhuبِغَيْرِwithoutbighayriهُدًۭىguidancehudanمِّنَfromminaٱللَّهِ ۚAllahl-lahiإِنَّIndeedinnaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaلَا(does) notlāيَهْدِىguideyahdīٱلْقَوْمَthe people l-qawmaٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَthe wrongdoersl-ẓālimīna٥٠
Mais s’ils ne te répondent pas, sache alors que c’est seulement leurs passions qu’ils suivent. Et qui est plus égaré que celui qui suit sa passion sans une guidée d’Allah ? Allah vraiment, ne guide pas les gens injustes.
28:51
۞ وَلَقَدْAnd indeedwalaqadوَصَّلْنَاWe have conveyedwaṣṣalnāلَهُمُto themlahumuٱلْقَوْلَthe Wordl-qawlaلَعَلَّهُمْso that they maylaʿallahumيَتَذَكَّرُونَrememberyatadhakkarūna٥١
Nous leur avons déjà exposé la Parole (le Coran) afin qu’ils se souviennent.
28:52
ٱلَّذِينَThose whoalladhīnaءَاتَيْنَـٰهُمُWe gave themātaynāhumuٱلْكِتَـٰبَthe Scripturel-kitābaمِنbefore itminقَبْلِهِۦbefore itqablihiهُمtheyhumبِهِۦin itbihiيُؤْمِنُونَbelieveyu'minūna٥٢
Ceux à qui, avant lui [le Coran], Nous avons apporté le Livre, y croient .
28:53
وَإِذَاAnd whenwa-idhāيُتْلَىٰit is recitedyut'lāعَلَيْهِمْto themʿalayhimقَالُوٓا۟they sayqālūءَامَنَّاWe believeāmannāبِهِۦٓin itbihiإِنَّهُIndeed, itinnahuٱلْحَقُّ(is) the truthl-ḥaquمِنfromminرَّبِّنَآour LordrabbināإِنَّاIndeed, weinnāكُنَّا[we] werekunnāمِنbefore itminقَبْلِهِۦbefore itqablihiمُسْلِمِينَMuslimsmus'limīna٥٣
Et quand on le leur récite, ils disent : "Nous y croyons. Ceci est bien la vérité émanant de notre Seigneur. Déjà avant son arrivée, nous étions soumis."
28:54
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَThoseulāikaيُؤْتَوْنَwill be givenyu'tawnaأَجْرَهُمtheir rewardajrahumمَّرَّتَيْنِtwicemarratayniبِمَاbecausebimāصَبَرُوا۟they are patientṣabarūوَيَدْرَءُونَand they repelwayadraūnaبِٱلْحَسَنَةِwith good bil-ḥasanatiٱلسَّيِّئَةَthe evill-sayi-ataوَمِمَّاand from whatwamimmāرَزَقْنَـٰهُمْWe have provided themrazaqnāhumيُنفِقُونَthey spendyunfiqūna٥٤
Voilà ceux qui recevront deux fois leur récompense pour leur endurance, pour avoir répondu au mal par le bien, et pour avoir dépensé de ce que Nous leur avons attribué ;
28:55
وَإِذَاAnd whenwa-idhāسَمِعُوا۟they hearsamiʿūٱللَّغْوَvain talkl-laghwaأَعْرَضُوا۟they turn awayaʿraḍūعَنْهُfrom itʿanhuوَقَالُوا۟and saywaqālūلَنَآFor uslanāأَعْمَـٰلُنَاour deedsaʿmālunāوَلَكُمْand for youwalakumأَعْمَـٰلُكُمْyour deedsaʿmālukumسَلَـٰمٌPeace (be)salāmunعَلَيْكُمْon youʿalaykumلَاnotlāنَبْتَغِىwe seeknabtaghīٱلْجَـٰهِلِينَthe ignorantl-jāhilīna٥٥
et quand ils entendent des futilités, ils s’en détournent et disent : "A nous nos actions, et à vous les vôtres. Paix sur vous. Nous ne recherchons pas les ignorants."
28:56
إِنَّكَIndeed, youinnakaلَا(can) notlāتَهْدِىguidetahdīمَنْwhommanأَحْبَبْتَyou loveaḥbabtaوَلَـٰكِنَّbutwalākinnaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaيَهْدِىguidesyahdīمَنwhommanيَشَآءُ ۚHe willsyashāuوَهُوَAnd Hewahuwaأَعْلَمُ(is) most knowingaʿlamuبِٱلْمُهْتَدِينَ(of) the guided onesbil-muh'tadīna٥٦
Tu (Mohammed) ne guides pas celui que tu aimes, mais c’est Allah qui guide qui Il veut. Et Il connaît mieux cependant les bien-guidés.
28:57
وَقَالُوٓا۟And they saywaqālūإِنIfinنَّتَّبِعِwe follownattabiʿiٱلْهُدَىٰthe guidancel-hudāمَعَكَwith youmaʿakaنُتَخَطَّفْwe would be sweptnutakhaṭṭafمِنْfromminأَرْضِنَآ ۚour landarḍināأَوَلَمْHave notawalamنُمَكِّنWe establishednumakkinلَّهُمْfor themlahumحَرَمًاa sanctuaryḥaramanءَامِنًۭاsecureāminanيُجْبَىٰٓare broughtyuj'bāإِلَيْهِto itilayhiثَمَرَٰتُfruitsthamarātuكُلِّ(of) allkulliشَىْءٍۢthingsshayinرِّزْقًۭاa provisionriz'qanمِّنfromminلَّدُنَّاUsladunnāوَلَـٰكِنَّButwalākinnaأَكْثَرَهُمْmost of themaktharahumلَا(do) notlāيَعْلَمُونَknowyaʿlamūna٥٧
Et ils dirent : "Si nous suivons avec toi la bonne voie, on nous arrachera de notre terre." - Ne les avons-Nous pas établis dans une enceinte sacrée, sûre, vers laquelle des produits de toute sorte sont apportés comme attribution de Notre part ? Mais la plupart d’entre eux ne savent pas.
28:58
وَكَمْAnd how manywakamأَهْلَكْنَاWe have destroyedahlaknāمِنofminقَرْيَةٍۭa townqaryatinبَطِرَتْwhich exultedbaṭiratمَعِيشَتَهَا ۖ(in) its means of livelihoodmaʿīshatahāفَتِلْكَAnd thesefatil'kaمَسَـٰكِنُهُمْ(are) their dwellingsmasākinuhumلَمْnotlamتُسْكَنhave been inhabitedtus'kanمِّنۢafter themminبَعْدِهِمْafter thembaʿdihimإِلَّاexceptillāقَلِيلًۭا ۖa littleqalīlanوَكُنَّاAnd indeed, [We]wakunnāنَحْنُWenaḥnuٱلْوَٰرِثِينَ(are) the inheritorsl-wārithīna٥٨
Et combien avons-Nous fait périr des cités qui étaient ingrates (alors que leurs habitants vivaient dans l’abondance), et voilà qu’après eux leurs demeures ne furent que très peu habitées, et c’est Nous qui en fûmes l’héritier.
28:59
وَمَاAnd notwamāكَانَwaskānaرَبُّكَyour Lordrabbukaمُهْلِكَ(the) one to destroymuh'likaٱلْقُرَىٰthe townsl-qurāحَتَّىٰuntilḥattāيَبْعَثَHe (had) sentyabʿathaفِىٓinfīأُمِّهَاtheir mother (town)ummihāرَسُولًۭاa Messengerrasūlanيَتْلُوا۟recitingyatlūعَلَيْهِمْto themʿalayhimءَايَـٰتِنَا ۚOur VersesāyātināوَمَاAnd notwamāكُنَّاWe would bekunnāمُهْلِكِى(the) one to destroymuh'likīٱلْقُرَىٰٓthe townsl-qurāإِلَّاexceptillāوَأَهْلُهَاwhile their peoplewa-ahluhāظَـٰلِمُونَ(were) wrongdoersẓālimūna٥٩
Et ton Seigneur ne fait pas périr des cités avant d’avoir envoyé dans leur métropole un Messager pour leur réciter Nos versets. Et Nous ne faisons périr les cités que lorsque leurs habitants sont injustes.
28:60
وَمَآAnd whateverwamāأُوتِيتُمyou have been givenūtītumمِّنfromminشَىْءٍۢthingsshayinفَمَتَـٰعُ(is) an enjoymentfamatāʿuٱلْحَيَوٰةِ(of the) lifel-ḥayatiٱلدُّنْيَا(of) the worldl-dun'yāوَزِينَتُهَا ۚand its adornmentwazīnatuhāوَمَاAnd whatwamāعِندَ(is) withʿindaٱللَّهِAllahl-lahiخَيْرٌۭ(is) betterkhayrunوَأَبْقَىٰٓ ۚand more lastingwa-abqāأَفَلَاSo (will) notafalāتَعْقِلُونَyou use intellecttaʿqilūna٦٠
Tout ce qui vous a été donné est une jouissance éphémère de la vie ici-bas et sa parure, alors que ce qui est auprès d’Allah est meilleur et plus durable... Ne raisonnez-vous donc pas ?
28:61
أَفَمَنThen is (he) whomafamanوَعَدْنَـٰهُWe have promised himwaʿadnāhuوَعْدًاa promisewaʿdanحَسَنًۭاgoodḥasananفَهُوَand hefahuwaلَـٰقِيهِ(will) meet itlāqīhiكَمَنlike (the one) whomkamanمَّتَّعْنَـٰهُWe provided himmattaʿnāhuمَتَـٰعَenjoymentmatāʿaٱلْحَيَوٰةِ(of the) lifel-ḥayatiٱلدُّنْيَا(of) the worldl-dun'yāثُمَّthenthummaهُوَhehuwaيَوْمَ(on the) Dayyawmaٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ(of) the Resurrectionl-qiyāmatiمِنَ(will be) amongminaٱلْمُحْضَرِينَthose presentedl-muḥ'ḍarīna٦١
Celui à qui Nous avons fait une belle promesse dont il verra l’accomplissement, est-il comparable à celui à qui Nous avons accordé la jouissance de la vie présente et qui sera ensuite, le Jour de la Résurrection, de ceux qui comparaîtront (devant Nous) ?
28:62
وَيَوْمَAnd (the) DaywayawmaيُنَادِيهِمْHe will call themyunādīhimفَيَقُولُand sayfayaqūluأَيْنَWhereaynaشُرَكَآءِىَ(are) My partnersshurakāiyaٱلَّذِينَwhomalladhīnaكُنتُمْyou used (to)kuntumتَزْعُمُونَclaimtazʿumūna٦٢
Et le jour où Il les appellera, Il dira : "Où sont ceux que vous prétendiez être Mes associés ?"
28:63
قَالَ(Will) sayqālaٱلَّذِينَthose alladhīnaحَقَّ(has) come trueḥaqqaعَلَيْهِمُagainst whomʿalayhimuٱلْقَوْلُthe Wordl-qawluرَبَّنَاOur LordrabbanāهَـٰٓؤُلَآءِThesehāulāiٱلَّذِينَ(are) those whomalladhīnaأَغْوَيْنَآwe led astrayaghwaynāأَغْوَيْنَـٰهُمْWe led them astrayaghwaynāhumكَمَاaskamāغَوَيْنَا ۖwe were astrayghawaynāتَبَرَّأْنَآWe declare our innocencetabarranāإِلَيْكَ ۖbefore YouilaykaمَاNotmāكَانُوٓا۟they used (to)kānūإِيَّانَاworship usiyyānāيَعْبُدُونَworship usyaʿbudūna٦٣
Ceux contre qui la Parole se réalisera diront : "Voici, Seigneur, ceux que nous avons séduits. Nous les avons séduits comme nous nous sommes dévoyés nous-mêmes. Nous les désavouons devant Toi ! Ce n’est pas nous qu’ils adoraient."
28:64
وَقِيلَAnd it will be saidwaqīlaٱدْعُوا۟Callid'ʿūشُرَكَآءَكُمْyour partnersshurakāakumفَدَعَوْهُمْAnd they will call themfadaʿawhumفَلَمْbut notfalamيَسْتَجِيبُوا۟they will respondyastajībūلَهُمْto themlahumوَرَأَوُا۟and they will seewara-awūٱلْعَذَابَ ۚthe punishmentl-ʿadhābaلَوْIf onlylawأَنَّهُمْ[that] theyannahumكَانُوا۟had beenkānūيَهْتَدُونَguidedyahtadūna٦٤
Et on [leur] dira : "Appelez vos associés !" Ils les appelleront, mais ceux-ci ne leur répondront pas. Et quand ils verront le châtiment, ils désireront alors avoir suivi le chemin droit (dans la vie d’ici-bas).
28:65
وَيَوْمَAnd (the) DaywayawmaيُنَادِيهِمْHe will call themyunādīhimفَيَقُولُand sayfayaqūluمَاذَآWhatmādhāأَجَبْتُمُdid you answerajabtumuٱلْمُرْسَلِينَthe Messengersl-mur'salīna٦٥
Et le jour où Il les appellera et qu’Il dira : “Qu’avez-vous répondu aux Envoyés ? ”
28:66
فَعَمِيَتْBut (will) be obscurefaʿamiyatعَلَيْهِمُto themʿalayhimuٱلْأَنۢبَآءُthe informationl-anbāuيَوْمَئِذٍۢthat dayyawma-idhinفَهُمْso theyfahumلَاwill not ask one anotherlāيَتَسَآءَلُونَwill not ask one anotheryatasāalūna٦٦
Ce jour-là, leurs arguments deviendront obscurs et ils ne se poseront point de questions.
28:67
فَأَمَّاBut as forfa-ammāمَن(him) whomanتَابَrepentedtābaوَءَامَنَand believedwaāmanaوَعَمِلَand didwaʿamilaصَـٰلِحًۭاrighteousnessṣāliḥanفَعَسَىٰٓthen perhapsfaʿasāأَن[that]anيَكُونَhe will beyakūnaمِنَofminaٱلْمُفْلِحِينَthe successful onesl-muf'liḥīna٦٧
Mais celui qui se sera repenti, qui aura cru et fait le bien, il se peut alors qu’il soit parmi ceux qui réussissent.
28:68
وَرَبُّكَAnd your LordwarabbukaيَخْلُقُcreatesyakhluquمَاwhatmāيَشَآءُHe willsyashāuوَيَخْتَارُ ۗand chooseswayakhtāruمَاNotmāكَانَthey havekānaلَهُمُfor themlahumuٱلْخِيَرَةُ ۚthe choicel-khiyaratuسُبْحَـٰنَGlory besub'ḥānaٱللَّهِ(to) Allahl-lahiوَتَعَـٰلَىٰand High is Hewataʿālāعَمَّاabove whatʿammāيُشْرِكُونَthey associate (with Him)yush'rikūna٦٨
Et ton Seigneur crée ce qu’Il veut et Il choisit; il ne leur a jamais appartenu de choisir . Gloire à Allah ! Il est bien au-dessus de ce qu’ils associent à Lui !
28:69
وَرَبُّكَAnd your Lordwarabbukaيَعْلَمُknowsyaʿlamuمَاwhatmāتُكِنُّconcealstukinnuصُدُورُهُمْtheir breastsṣudūruhumوَمَاand whatwamāيُعْلِنُونَthey declareyuʿ'linūna٦٩
Ton Seigneur sait ce que cachent leurs poitrines et ce qu’ils divulguent.
28:70
وَهُوَAnd Hewahuwaٱللَّهُ(is) Allahl-lahuلَآ(there is) nolāإِلَـٰهَgodilāhaإِلَّاbutillāهُوَ ۖHehuwaلَهُTo Himlahuٱلْحَمْدُ(are due) all praisesl-ḥamduفِىinfīٱلْأُولَىٰthe firstl-ūlāوَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ ۖand the lastwal-ākhiratiوَلَهُAnd for Himwalahuٱلْحُكْمُ(is) the Decisionl-ḥuk'muوَإِلَيْهِand to Himwa-ilayhiتُرْجَعُونَyou will be returnedtur'jaʿūna٧٠
Et c’est lui Allah. Pas de divinité [véritable] à part Lui. A Lui la louange ici-bas comme dans l’au-delà ! À Lui appartient le Jugement. Et vers Lui vous serez ramenés.
28:71
قُلْSayqulأَرَءَيْتُمْHave you seenara-aytumإِنifinجَعَلَAllah madejaʿalaٱللَّهُAllah madel-lahuعَلَيْكُمُfor youʿalaykumuٱلَّيْلَthe nightal-laylaسَرْمَدًاcontinuoussarmadanإِلَىٰtillilāيَوْمِ(the) Dayyawmiٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ(of) the Resurrectionl-qiyāmatiمَنْwhomanإِلَـٰهٌ(is the) godilāhunغَيْرُbesidesghayruٱللَّهِAllahl-lahiيَأْتِيكُمwho could bring youyatīkumبِضِيَآءٍ ۖlightbiḍiyāinأَفَلَاThen will notafalāتَسْمَعُونَyou heartasmaʿūna٧١
Dis : "Que diriez-vous si Allah vous assignait la nuit en permanence jusqu’au Jour de la Résurrection ? Quelle divinité autre qu’Allah pourrait vous apporter une lumière ? N’entendez-vous donc pas ?"
28:72
قُلْSayqulأَرَءَيْتُمْHave you seenara-aytumإِنifinجَعَلَAllah madejaʿalaٱللَّهُAllah madel-lahuعَلَيْكُمُfor youʿalaykumuٱلنَّهَارَthe dayl-nahāraسَرْمَدًاcontinuoussarmadanإِلَىٰtillilāيَوْمِ(the) Dayyawmiٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ(of) the Resurrectionl-qiyāmatiمَنْwhomanإِلَـٰهٌ(is the) godilāhunغَيْرُbesidesghayruٱللَّهِAllahl-lahiيَأْتِيكُمwho could bring youyatīkumبِلَيْلٍۢnightbilaylinتَسْكُنُونَ(for) you (to) resttaskunūnaفِيهِ ۖin itfīhiأَفَلَاThen will notafalāتُبْصِرُونَyou seetub'ṣirūna٧٢
Dis : "Que diriez-vous si Allah vous assignait le jour en permanence jusqu’au Jour de la Résurrection ? Quelle divinité autre qu’Allah pourrait vous apporter une nuit durant laquelle vous reposeriez ? N’observez-vous donc pas ?"
28:73
وَمِنAnd fromwaminرَّحْمَتِهِۦHis MercyraḥmatihiجَعَلَHe madejaʿalaلَكُمُfor youlakumuٱلَّيْلَthe nightal-laylaوَٱلنَّهَارَand the daywal-nahāraلِتَسْكُنُوا۟that you may restlitaskunūفِيهِthereinfīhiوَلِتَبْتَغُوا۟and that you may seekwalitabtaghūمِنfromminفَضْلِهِۦHis Bountyfaḍlihiوَلَعَلَّكُمْand so that you maywalaʿallakumتَشْكُرُونَbe gratefultashkurūna٧٣
C’est de par Sa miséricorde qu’Il vous a assigné la nuit et le jour pour que vous vous reposiez et cherchiez de Sa grâce, et afin que vous soyez reconnaissants.
28:74
وَيَوْمَAnd (the) DaywayawmaيُنَادِيهِمْHe will call themyunādīhimفَيَقُولُand sayfayaqūluأَيْنَWhereaynaشُرَكَآءِىَ(are) My partnersshurakāiyaٱلَّذِينَwhomalladhīnaكُنتُمْyou used (to)kuntumتَزْعُمُونَclaimtazʿumūna٧٤
Et le jour où Il les appellera, Il dira : "Où sont ceux que vous prétendiez être Mes associés ?"
28:75
وَنَزَعْنَاAnd We will draw forthwanazaʿnāمِنfromminكُلِّeverykulliأُمَّةٍۢnationummatinشَهِيدًۭاa witnessshahīdanفَقُلْنَاand We will sayfaqul'nāهَاتُوا۟Bringhātūبُرْهَـٰنَكُمْyour proofbur'hānakumفَعَلِمُوٓا۟Then they will knowfaʿalimūأَنَّthatannaٱلْحَقَّthe truthl-ḥaqaلِلَّهِ(is) for Allahlillahiوَضَلَّand (will be) lostwaḍallaعَنْهُمfrom themʿanhumمَّاwhatmāكَانُوا۟they used (to)kānūيَفْتَرُونَinventyaftarūna٧٥
Cependant, Nous ferons sortir de chaque communauté un témoin, puis Nous dirons : "Apportez votre preuve décisive !" Ils sauront alors que la Vérité est à Allah ; et que ce qu’ils avaient inventé les a abandonnés.
28:76
۞ إِنَّIndeedinnaقَـٰرُونَQarunqārūnaكَانَwaskānaمِنfromminقَوْمِ(the) peopleqawmiمُوسَىٰ(of) Musamūsāفَبَغَىٰbut he oppressedfabaghāعَلَيْهِمْ ۖ[on] themʿalayhimوَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُAnd We gave himwaātaynāhuمِنَofminaٱلْكُنُوزِthe treasuresl-kunūziمَآwhichmāإِنَّindeedinnaمَفَاتِحَهُۥ(the) keys of itmafātiḥahuلَتَنُوٓأُwould burdenlatanūuبِٱلْعُصْبَةِa company (of men)bil-ʿuṣ'batiأُو۟لِىpossessors of great strengthulīٱلْقُوَّةِpossessors of great strengthl-quwatiإِذْWhenidhقَالَsaidqālaلَهُۥto himlahuقَوْمُهُۥhis peopleqawmuhuلَا(Do) notlāتَفْرَحْ ۖexulttafraḥإِنَّIndeedinnaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaلَا(does) notlāيُحِبُّloveyuḥibbuٱلْفَرِحِينَthe exultantl-fariḥīna٧٦
En vérité, Coré [Qarûn] était du peuple de Moïse mais il était empli de violence envers eux. Et Nous lui avions donné de trésors dont les clefs pesaient lourd à toute une bande de gens forts. Son peuple lui dit : "Ne te réjouis point ! Car Allah n’aime pas les arrogants.
28:77
وَٱبْتَغِBut seekwa-ib'taghiفِيمَآthrough whatfīmāءَاتَىٰكَAllah has given youātākaٱللَّهُAllah has given youl-lahuٱلدَّارَthe homel-dāraٱلْـَٔاخِرَةَ ۖ(of) the Hereafterl-ākhirataوَلَاand (do) notwalāتَنسَforgettansaنَصِيبَكَyour sharenaṣībakaمِنَofminaٱلدُّنْيَا ۖthe worldl-dun'yāوَأَحْسِنAnd do goodwa-aḥsinكَمَآaskamāأَحْسَنَAllah has been goodaḥsanaٱللَّهُAllah has been goodl-lahuإِلَيْكَ ۖto youilaykaوَلَاAnd (do) notwalāتَبْغِseektabghiٱلْفَسَادَcorruptionl-fasādaفِىinfīٱلْأَرْضِ ۖthe earthl-arḍiإِنَّIndeedinnaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaلَا(does) notlāيُحِبُّloveyuḥibbuٱلْمُفْسِدِينَthe corruptersl-muf'sidīna٧٧
Et recherche à travers ce qu’Allah t’a donné, la Demeure dernière. Et n’oublie pas ta part en cette vie. Et sois bienfaisant comme Allah a été bienfaisant envers toi. Et ne recherche pas la corruption sur Terre. Car Allah n’aime point les corrupteurs."
28:78
قَالَHe saidqālaإِنَّمَآOnlyinnamāأُوتِيتُهُۥI have been given itūtītuhuعَلَىٰon (account)ʿalāعِلْمٍ(of) knowledgeʿil'minعِندِىٓ ۚI haveʿindīأَوَلَمْDid notawalamيَعْلَمْhe knowyaʿlamأَنَّthatannaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaقَدْindeedqadأَهْلَكَdestroyedahlakaمِنbefore himminقَبْلِهِۦbefore himqablihiمِنَofminaٱلْقُرُونِthe generationsl-qurūniمَنْwhomanهُوَ[they]huwaأَشَدُّ(were) strongerashadduمِنْهُthan himmin'huقُوَّةًۭ(in) strengthquwwatanوَأَكْثَرُand greaterwa-aktharuجَمْعًۭا ۚ(in) accumulationjamʿanوَلَاAnd notwalāيُسْـَٔلُwill be questionedyus'aluعَنaboutʿanذُنُوبِهِمُtheir sinsdhunūbihimuٱلْمُجْرِمُونَthe criminalsl-muj'rimūna٧٨
Il dit : "C’est par une science que je possède que ceci m’est venu." Ne sait-il pas qu’avant lui Allah a fait périr des générations supérieures à lui en force et plus riches en biens ? Et les criminels ne seront [même] pas interrogés sur leurs péchés !"
28:79
فَخَرَجَSo he went forthfakharajaعَلَىٰtoʿalāقَوْمِهِۦhis peopleqawmihiفِىinfīزِينَتِهِۦ ۖhis adornmentzīnatihiقَالَSaidqālaٱلَّذِينَthose whoalladhīnaيُرِيدُونَdesireyurīdūnaٱلْحَيَوٰةَthe lifel-ḥayataٱلدُّنْيَا(of) the worldl-dun'yāيَـٰلَيْتَO! Would thatyālaytaلَنَاfor uslanāمِثْلَ(the) likemith'laمَآ(of) whatmāأُوتِىَhas been givenūtiyaقَـٰرُونُ(to) QarunqārūnuإِنَّهُۥIndeed, heinnahuلَذُو(is the) ownerladhūحَظٍّ(of) fortuneḥaẓẓinعَظِيمٍۢgreatʿaẓīmin٧٩
Il sortit donc à son peuple dans tout son apparat. Ceux qui aimaient la vie présente dirent : "Si seulement nous avions comme ce qui a été donné à Coré. Il a été doté, certes, d’une immense fortune."
28:80
وَقَالَBut saidwaqālaٱلَّذِينَthose whoalladhīnaأُوتُوا۟were givenūtūٱلْعِلْمَthe knowledgel-ʿil'maوَيْلَكُمْWoe to youwaylakumثَوَابُ(The) rewardthawābuٱللَّهِ(of) Allahl-lahiخَيْرٌۭ(is) betterkhayrunلِّمَنْfor (he) wholimanءَامَنَbelievesāmanaوَعَمِلَand doeswaʿamilaصَـٰلِحًۭاrighteous (deeds)ṣāliḥanوَلَاAnd notwalāيُلَقَّىٰهَآit is grantedyulaqqāhāإِلَّاexceptillāٱلصَّـٰبِرُونَ(to) the patient onesl-ṣābirūna٨٠
Tandis que ceux auxquels le savoir fut donné dirent : “Malheur à vous ! La récompense d’Allah est meilleure pour celui qui croit et fait le bien.” Mais elle ne sera accordée qu’à ceux qui endurent.
28:81
فَخَسَفْنَاThen We caused to swallow upfakhasafnāبِهِۦhimbihiوَبِدَارِهِand his homewabidārihiٱلْأَرْضَthe earthl-arḍaفَمَاThen notfamāكَانَwaskānaلَهُۥfor himlahuمِنanyminفِئَةٍۢgroupfi-atinيَنصُرُونَهُۥ(to) help himyanṣurūnahuمِنbesidesminدُونِbesidesdūniٱللَّهِAllahl-lahiوَمَاand notwamāكَانَwaskānaمِنَ(he) ofminaٱلْمُنتَصِرِينَthose who (could) defend themselvesl-muntaṣirīna٨١
Nous fîmes donc que la terre l’engloutît, lui et sa maison. Aucun clan en dehors d’Allah ne fut là pour le secourir, et il ne pût se secourir lui-même.
28:82
وَأَصْبَحَAnd beganwa-aṣbaḥaٱلَّذِينَthose whoalladhīnaتَمَنَّوْا۟(had) wishedtamannawمَكَانَهُۥhis positionmakānahuبِٱلْأَمْسِthe day beforebil-amsiيَقُولُونَ(to) sayyaqūlūnaوَيْكَأَنَّAh! Thatwayka-annaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaيَبْسُطُextendsyabsuṭuٱلرِّزْقَthe provisionl-riz'qaلِمَنfor whomlimanيَشَآءُHe willsyashāuمِنْofminعِبَادِهِۦHis slavesʿibādihiوَيَقْدِرُ ۖand restricts itwayaqdiruلَوْلَآIf notlawlāأَنthatanمَّنَّAllah had favoredmannaٱللَّهُAllah had favoredl-lahuعَلَيْنَا[to] usʿalaynāلَخَسَفَHe would have caused it to swallow uslakhasafaبِنَا ۖHe would have caused it to swallow usbināوَيْكَأَنَّهُۥAh! Thatwayka-annahuلَاnotlāيُفْلِحُwill succeedyuf'liḥuٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَthe disbelieversl-kāfirūna٨٢
Et ceux qui, la veille, souhaitaient d’être à sa place, se mirent à dire : "Ah ! Il est vrai qu’Allah augmente la part de qui Il veut, parmi Ses serviteurs, ou la restreint. Si Allah ne nous avait pas favorisés, Il nous aurait certainement fait engloutir. Ah ! Il est vrai que ceux qui ne croient pas ne réussissent pas."
28:83
تِلْكَThattil'kaٱلدَّارُthe Homel-dāruٱلْـَٔاخِرَةُ(of) the Hereafterl-ākhiratuنَجْعَلُهَاWe assign itnajʿaluhāلِلَّذِينَto those wholilladhīnaلَا(do) notlāيُرِيدُونَdesireyurīdūnaعُلُوًّۭاexaltednessʿuluwwanفِىinfīٱلْأَرْضِthe earthl-arḍiوَلَاand notwalāفَسَادًۭا ۚcorruptionfasādanوَٱلْعَـٰقِبَةُAnd the good endwal-ʿāqibatuلِلْمُتَّقِينَ(is) for the righteouslil'muttaqīna٨٣
Cette Demeure dernière, Nous la réservons à ceux qui ne recherchent, ni à s’élever sur Terre, ni à y semer la corruption. Cependant, l’heureuse fin appartient aux pieux.
28:84
مَنWhoevermanجَآءَcomesjāaبِٱلْحَسَنَةِwith a good (deed)bil-ḥasanatiفَلَهُۥthen for himfalahuخَيْرٌۭ(will be) betterkhayrunمِّنْهَا ۖthan itmin'hāوَمَنand whoeverwamanجَآءَcomesjāaبِٱلسَّيِّئَةِwith an evil (deed)bil-sayi-atiفَلَاthen notfalāيُجْزَىwill be recompensedyuj'zāٱلَّذِينَthose whoalladhīnaعَمِلُوا۟doʿamilūٱلسَّيِّـَٔاتِthe evil (deeds)l-sayiātiإِلَّاexceptillāمَاwhatmāكَانُوا۟they used (to)kānūيَعْمَلُونَdoyaʿmalūna٨٤
Quiconque viendra avec le bien, aura meilleur que cela encore ; et quiconque viendra avec le mal, (qu’il sache que) ceux qui commettront des méfaits ne seront rétribués que selon ce qu’ils ont commis.
28:85
إِنَّIndeedinnaٱلَّذِىHe Whoalladhīفَرَضَordainedfaraḍaعَلَيْكَupon youʿalaykaٱلْقُرْءَانَthe Quranl-qur'ānaلَرَآدُّكَ(will) surely take you backlarāddukaإِلَىٰtoilāمَعَادٍۢ ۚa place of returnmaʿādinقُلSayqulرَّبِّىٓMy Lordrabbīأَعْلَمُ(is) most knowingaʿlamuمَن(of him) whomanجَآءَcomesjāaبِٱلْهُدَىٰwith the guidancebil-hudāوَمَنْand who wamanهُوَhehuwaفِى(is) infīضَلَـٰلٍۢan errorḍalālinمُّبِينٍۢmanifestmubīnin٨٥
Celui qui t’a prescrit le Coran te ramènera certainement là où tu (souhaites) retourner . Dis : “Mon Seigneur connaît mieux celui qui est venu avec la guidée et celui qui est dans un égarement évident.”
28:86
وَمَاAnd notwamāكُنتَyou werekuntaتَرْجُوٓا۟expectingtarjūأَنthatanيُلْقَىٰٓwould be sent downyul'qāإِلَيْكَto youilaykaٱلْكِتَـٰبُthe Bookl-kitābuإِلَّاexceptillāرَحْمَةًۭ(as) a mercyraḥmatanمِّنfromminرَّبِّكَ ۖyour LordrabbikaفَلَاSo (do) notfalāتَكُونَنَّbetakūnannaظَهِيرًۭاan assistantẓahīranلِّلْكَـٰفِرِينَto the disbelieverslil'kāfirīna٨٦
Et tu n’espérais nullement que le Livre te soit révélé. Ceci n’a été que par une miséricorde de ton Seigneur. Ne sois donc jamais un soutien pour les infidèles ;
28:87
وَلَاAnd (let) notwalāيَصُدُّنَّكَavert youyaṣuddunnakaعَنْfromʿanءَايَـٰتِ(the) Versesāyātiٱللَّهِ(of) Allahl-lahiبَعْدَafterbaʿdaإِذْ[when]idhأُنزِلَتْthey have been revealedunzilatإِلَيْكَ ۖto youilaykaوَٱدْعُAnd invite (people)wa-ud'ʿuإِلَىٰtoilāرَبِّكَ ۖyour LordrabbikaوَلَاAnd (do) notwalāتَكُونَنَّbetakūnannaمِنَofminaٱلْمُشْرِكِينَthe polytheistsl-mush'rikīna٨٧
et que ceux-ci ne te détournent point des versets d’Allah une fois qu’on les a fait descendre vers toi. Et appelle les gens vers ton Seigneur et ne sois point du nombre des polythéistes !
28:88
وَلَاAnd (do) notwalāتَدْعُinvoketadʿuمَعَwithmaʿaٱللَّهِAllahl-lahiإِلَـٰهًاgodilāhanءَاخَرَ ۘotherākharaلَآ(There is) nolāإِلَـٰهَgodilāhaإِلَّاexceptillāهُوَ ۚHimhuwaكُلُّEverykulluشَىْءٍthingshayinهَالِكٌ(will be) destroyedhālikunإِلَّاexceptillāوَجْهَهُۥ ۚHis FacewajhahuلَهُTo Himlahuٱلْحُكْمُ(is) the Decisionl-ḥuk'muوَإِلَيْهِand to Himwa-ilayhiتُرْجَعُونَyou will be returnedtur'jaʿūna٨٨
Et n’invoque nulle autre divinité avec Allah. Point de divinité [véritable] à part Lui. Tout doit périr, sauf Son Visage . À Lui appartient le Jugement; et vers Lui vous serez ramenés.
