مريم

La sourate Maryam (مريم) est le 19e chapitre du Saint Coran — une sourate Mecquoise de 98 versets. Les sourates mecquoises ont été révélées avant l'émigration du Prophète Muhammad (paix sur lui) à Médine et mettent souvent l'accent sur la foi, l'unicité de Dieu et l'au-delà.

بِسْمِIn (the) namebis'miٱللَّهِ(of) Allahl-lahiٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِthe Most Graciousl-raḥmāniٱلرَّحِيمِthe Most Mercifull-raḥīmi
Au nom d'Allah, le Tout Miséricordieux, le Très Miséricordieux
19:1
كٓهيعٓصٓKaaf Ha Ya Ain Sadkaf-ha-ya-ain-sad١
Kâf, Hâ, Yâ, ‘Ayn, Sâd .
19:2
ذِكْرُ(A) mentiondhik'ruرَحْمَتِ(of the) Mercyraḥmatiرَبِّكَ(of) your Lordrabbikaعَبْدَهُۥ(to) His servantʿabdahuزَكَرِيَّآZakariyazakariyyā٢
C’est un récit de la miséricorde de ton Seigneur envers Son serviteur Zacharie.
19:3
إِذْWhenidhنَادَىٰhe callednādāرَبَّهُۥ(to) his Lordrabbahuنِدَآءًa call nidāanخَفِيًّۭاsecretkhafiyyan٣
Lorsqu’il invoqua son Seigneur d’une invocation secrète,
19:4
قَالَHe saidqālaرَبِّMy LordrabbiإِنِّىIndeed, [I]innīوَهَنَ(have) weakenedwahanaٱلْعَظْمُmy bonesl-ʿaẓmuمِنِّىmy bonesminnīوَٱشْتَعَلَand flaredwa-ish'taʿalaٱلرَّأْسُ(my) headl-rasuشَيْبًۭا(with) whiteshaybanوَلَمْand notwalamأَكُنۢI have beenakunبِدُعَآئِكَin (my) supplication (to) Youbiduʿāikaرَبِّmy Lordrabbiشَقِيًّۭاunblessedshaqiyyan٤
et dit : “Seigneur ! Mes os sont affaiblis et ma tête s’est enflammée de cheveux blancs. [Cependant] Je n’ai jamais été malheureux [déçu] en te priant, Seigneur !
19:5
وَإِنِّىAnd indeed, Iwa-innīخِفْتُ[I] fearkhif'tuٱلْمَوَٰلِىَthe successorsl-mawāliyaمِنafter meminوَرَآءِىafter mewarāīوَكَانَتِand iswakānatiٱمْرَأَتِىmy wifeim'ra-atīعَاقِرًۭاbarrenʿāqiranفَهَبْSo givefahabلِى[to] melīمِنfromminلَّدُنكَYourselfladunkaوَلِيًّۭاan heirwaliyyan٥
Je crains [le comportement] de mes héritiers, après moi. Et ma propre femme est stérile. Accorde-moi donc, de Ta part, un descendant .
19:6
يَرِثُنِىWho will inherit meyarithunīوَيَرِثُand inheritwayarithuمِنْfromminءَالِ(the) familyāliيَعْقُوبَ ۖ(of) YaqubyaʿqūbaوَٱجْعَلْهُAnd make himwa-ij'ʿalhuرَبِّmy Lordrabbiرَضِيًّۭاpleasingraḍiyyan٦
qui hérite de moi et hérite de la famille de Jacob. Et fais qu’il te soit agréable, Seigneur !”
19:7
يَـٰزَكَرِيَّآO ZakariyayāzakariyyāإِنَّاIndeed, Weinnāنُبَشِّرُكَ[We] give you glad tidingsnubashirukaبِغُلَـٰمٍof a boybighulāminٱسْمُهُۥhis nameus'muhuيَحْيَىٰ(will be) YahyayaḥyāلَمْnotlamنَجْعَلWe (have) assignednajʿalلَّهُۥ[for] itlahuمِنbeforeminقَبْلُbeforeqabluسَمِيًّۭا(this) namesamiyyan٧
"Ô Zacharie ! Nous t’annonçons la bonne nouvelle d’un fils. Son nom sera Jean (Yahyâ). Nous ne lui avons pas donné auparavant d’homonyme."
19:8
قَالَHe saidqālaرَبِّMy LordrabbiأَنَّىٰHowannāيَكُونُcanyakūnuلِىI havelīغُلَـٰمٌۭa boyghulāmunوَكَانَتِwhile iswakānatiٱمْرَأَتِىmy wifeim'ra-atīعَاقِرًۭاbarrenʿāqiranوَقَدْand indeedwaqadبَلَغْتُI have reachedbalaghtuمِنَofminaٱلْكِبَرِthe old agel-kibariعِتِيًّۭاextremeʿitiyyan٨
Et [Zacharie dit] : “Seigneur ! Comment aurai-je un fils, quand ma femme est stérile et que je suis très avancé en vieillesse ? ”
19:9
قَالَHe saidqālaكَذَٰلِكَThuskadhālikaقَالَsaidqālaرَبُّكَyour Lordrabbukaهُوَ'Ithuwaعَلَىَّ(is) easy for Meʿalayyaهَيِّنٌۭ(is) easy for Mehayyinunوَقَدْand certainlywaqadخَلَقْتُكَI (have) created youkhalaqtukaمِنbeforeminقَبْلُbeforeqabluوَلَمْwhile notwalamتَكُyou weretakuشَيْـًۭٔاanything.'shayan٩
[Allah] lui dit : "Ainsi sera-t-il ! Ton Seigneur a dit : "Ceci m’est facile. Et avant cela, Je t’ai créé alors que tu n’étais rien."
19:10
قَالَHe saidqālaرَبِّMy LordrabbiٱجْعَلMakeij'ʿalلِّىٓfor melīءَايَةًۭ ۚa signāyatanقَالَHe saidqālaءَايَتُكَYour signāyatukaأَلَّا(is) that notallāتُكَلِّمَyou will speaktukallimaٱلنَّاسَ(to) the peoplel-nāsaثَلَـٰثَ(for) threethalāthaلَيَالٍۢnightslayālinسَوِيًّۭاsoundsawiyyan١٠
“Seigneur, dit [Zacharie], accorde-moi un signe !” “Ton signe, dit [Allah,] sera que tu ne pourras pas parler aux gens pendant trois nuits tout en étant bien portant.”
19:11
فَخَرَجَThen he came outfakharajaعَلَىٰtoʿalāقَوْمِهِۦhis peopleqawmihiمِنَfromminaٱلْمِحْرَابِthe prayer chamberl-miḥ'rābiفَأَوْحَىٰٓand he signaledfa-awḥāإِلَيْهِمْto themilayhimأَنtoanسَبِّحُوا۟glorify (Allah)sabbiḥūبُكْرَةًۭ(in) the morningbuk'ratanوَعَشِيًّۭاand (in) the eveningwaʿashiyyan١١
Il sortit donc du sanctuaire vers son peuple; puis il leur fit signe de prier matin et soir.
19:12
يَـٰيَحْيَىٰO YahyayāyaḥyāخُذِHoldkhudhiٱلْكِتَـٰبَthe Scripturel-kitābaبِقُوَّةٍۢ ۖwith strengthbiquwwatinوَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُAnd We gave himwaātaynāhuٱلْحُكْمَ[the] wisdoml-ḥuk'maصَبِيًّۭا(when he was) a childṣabiyyan١٢
“Ô Jean (Yahyâ) ! Tiens fermement au Livre (la Thora) !” Et Nous lui donnâmes la sagesse alors qu’il était enfant,
19:13
وَحَنَانًۭاAnd affectionwaḥanānanمِّنfromminلَّدُنَّاUsladunnāوَزَكَوٰةًۭ ۖand puritywazakatanوَكَانَand he waswakānaتَقِيًّۭاrighteoustaqiyyan١٣
ainsi que la tendresse de Notre part et la pureté. Et il était pieux.
19:14
وَبَرًّۢاAnd dutifulwabarranبِوَٰلِدَيْهِto his parentsbiwālidayhiوَلَمْand notwalamيَكُنhe wasyakunجَبَّارًاa tyrantjabbāranعَصِيًّۭاdisobedientʿaṣiyyan١٤
et dévoué envers ses père et mère; et ne fut ni violent ni désobéissant.
19:15
وَسَلَـٰمٌAnd peace bewasalāmunعَلَيْهِupon himʿalayhiيَوْمَ(the) dayyawmaوُلِدَhe was bornwulidaوَيَوْمَand (the) daywayawmaيَمُوتُhe diesyamūtuوَيَوْمَand (the) daywayawmaيُبْعَثُhe will be raisedyub'ʿathuحَيًّۭاaliveḥayyan١٥
Que la paix soit sur lui le jour où il naquit, le jour où il mourra, et le jour où il sera ressuscité vivant !
19:16
وَٱذْكُرْAnd mentionwa-udh'kurفِىinfīٱلْكِتَـٰبِthe Bookl-kitābiمَرْيَمَMaryammaryamaإِذِwhenidhiٱنتَبَذَتْshe withdrewintabadhatمِنْfromminأَهْلِهَاher familyahlihāمَكَانًۭا(to) a placemakānanشَرْقِيًّۭاeasternsharqiyyan١٦
Et mentionne, dans le Livre (le Coran), Marie, quand elle se retira de sa famille en un lieu vers l’Orient.
19:17
فَٱتَّخَذَتْThen she tookfa-ittakhadhatمِنfrom themminدُونِهِمْfrom themdūnihimحِجَابًۭاa screenḥijābanفَأَرْسَلْنَآThen We sentfa-arsalnāإِلَيْهَاto herilayhāرُوحَنَاOur Spiritrūḥanāفَتَمَثَّلَthen he assumed for her the likenessfatamathalaلَهَاthen he assumed for her the likenesslahāبَشَرًۭا(of) a manbasharanسَوِيًّۭاwell-proportionedsawiyyan١٧
Elle mit entre elle et eux un voile. Nous lui envoyâmes alors Notre Esprit (Gabriel), qui se présenta à elle sous la forme d’un homme parfait.
19:18
قَالَتْShe saidqālatإِنِّىٓIndeed, Iinnīأَعُوذُ[I] seek refugeaʿūdhuبِٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِwith the Most Graciousbil-raḥmāniمِنكَfrom youminkaإِنifinكُنتَyou arekuntaتَقِيًّۭاGod fearingtaqiyyan١٨
Elle dit : "Je me réfugie contre toi auprès du Tout Miséricordieux ! Si tu es pieux [ne m’approche point]."
19:19
قَالَHe saidqālaإِنَّمَآOnlyinnamāأَنَا۠I amanāرَسُولُa Messengerrasūluرَبِّكِ(from) your Lordrabbikiلِأَهَبَthat I (may) bestowli-ahabaلَكِon youlakiغُلَـٰمًۭاa songhulāmanزَكِيًّۭاpurezakiyyan١٩
Il dit : "Je ne suis qu'un Messager de ton Seigneur pour te faire don d'un fils pur."
19:20
قَالَتْShe saidqālatأَنَّىٰHowannāيَكُونُcan beyakūnuلِىfor melīغُلَـٰمٌۭa songhulāmunوَلَمْwhen notwalamيَمْسَسْنِىhas touched meyamsasnīبَشَرٌۭa manbasharunوَلَمْand notwalamأَكُI amakuبَغِيًّۭاunchastebaghiyyan٢٠
Elle dit : “Comment aurais-je un fils, quand aucun homme ne m’a touchée, et je ne suis pas une prostituée ? ”
19:21
قَالَHe saidqālaكَذَٰلِكِThuskadhālikiقَالَsaidqālaرَبُّكِyour Lordrabbukiهُوَ'Ithuwaعَلَىَّ(is) for Meʿalayyaهَيِّنٌۭ ۖeasyhayyinunوَلِنَجْعَلَهُۥٓand so that We will make himwalinajʿalahuءَايَةًۭa signāyatanلِّلنَّاسِfor the mankindlilnnāsiوَرَحْمَةًۭand a Mercywaraḥmatanمِّنَّا ۚfrom UsminnāوَكَانَAnd (it) iswakānaأَمْرًۭاa matteramranمَّقْضِيًّۭاdecreed.'maqḍiyyan٢١
Il dit : "Ainsi sera-t-il ! Cela M’est facile, a dit ton Seigneur ! Et Nous ferons de lui un signe pour les gens, et une miséricorde de Notre part. C’est une affaire déjà décidée."
19:22
۞ فَحَمَلَتْهُSo she conceived himfaḥamalathuفَٱنتَبَذَتْand she withdrewfa-intabadhatبِهِۦwith himbihiمَكَانًۭا(to) a placemakānanقَصِيًّۭاremoteqaṣiyyan٢٢
Elle devint donc enceinte [de l’enfant], et elle se retira avec lui en un lieu éloigné.
19:23
فَأَجَآءَهَاThen drove herfa-ajāahāٱلْمَخَاضُthe pains of childbirthl-makhāḍuإِلَىٰtoilāجِذْعِ(the) trunkjidh'ʿiٱلنَّخْلَةِ(of) the date-palml-nakhlatiقَالَتْShe saidqālatيَـٰلَيْتَنِىO! I wishyālaytanīمِتُّI (had) diedmittuقَبْلَbeforeqablaهَـٰذَاthishādhāوَكُنتُand I waswakuntuنَسْيًۭا(in) oblivionnasyanمَّنسِيًّۭاforgottenmansiyyan٢٣
Puis les douleurs de l’enfantement l’amenèrent au tronc du palmier, et elle dit: "Malheur à moi! Que je fusse morte avant cet instant! Et que je fusse totalement oubliée!"
19:24
فَنَادَىٰهَاSo cried to herfanādāhāمِنfromminتَحْتِهَآbeneath hertaḥtihāأَلَّاThat (do) notallāتَحْزَنِىgrievetaḥzanīقَدْverilyqadجَعَلَ(has) placedjaʿalaرَبُّكِyour Lordrabbukiتَحْتَكِbeneath youtaḥtakiسَرِيًّۭاa streamsariyyan٢٤
Alors, il l’appela d’au-dessous d’elle, [lui disant:] "Ne t’afflige pas. Ton Seigneur a placé à tes pieds une source.
19:25
وَهُزِّىٓAnd shakewahuzzīإِلَيْكِtowards youilaykiبِجِذْعِ(the) trunkbijidh'ʿiٱلنَّخْلَةِ(of) the date-palml-nakhlatiتُسَـٰقِطْit will droptusāqiṭعَلَيْكِupon youʿalaykiرُطَبًۭاfresh datesruṭabanجَنِيًّۭاripejaniyyan٢٥
Secoue vers toi le tronc du palmier: il fera tomber sur toi des dattes fraîches et mûres.
19:26
فَكُلِىSo eatfakulīوَٱشْرَبِىand drinkwa-ish'rabīوَقَرِّىand coolwaqarrīعَيْنًۭا ۖ(your) eyesʿaynanفَإِمَّاAnd iffa-immāتَرَيِنَّyou seetarayinnaمِنَfromminaٱلْبَشَرِhuman beingl-bashariأَحَدًۭاanyoneaḥadanفَقُولِىٓthen sayfaqūlīإِنِّىIndeed, Iinnīنَذَرْتُ[I] have vowednadhartuلِلرَّحْمَـٰنِto the Most Graciouslilrraḥmāniصَوْمًۭاa fastṣawmanفَلَنْso notfalanأُكَلِّمَI will speakukallimaٱلْيَوْمَtodayl-yawmaإِنسِيًّۭا(to any) human beinginsiyyan٢٦
Mange donc et bois et que ton œil se réjouisse ! Si tu vois quelqu’un d’entre les humaines, dis [lui:] "Assurément, j’ai voué un jeûne au Tout Miséricordieux : je ne parlerai donc aujourd’hui à aucun être humain."
19:27
فَأَتَتْThen she camefa-atatبِهِۦwith himbihiقَوْمَهَا(to) her peopleqawmahāتَحْمِلُهُۥ ۖcarrying himtaḥmiluhuقَالُوا۟They saidqālūيَـٰمَرْيَمُO MaryamyāmaryamuلَقَدْCertainlylaqadجِئْتِyou (have) broughtji'tiشَيْـًۭٔاan amazing thingshayanفَرِيًّۭاan amazing thingfariyyan٢٧
Alors, elle vint auprès des siens en le portant [le bébé]. Ils dirent : "Ô Marie ! Tu as fait une chose monstrueuse !
19:28
يَـٰٓأُخْتَO sisteryāukh'taهَـٰرُونَ(of) HarunhārūnaمَاNotmāكَانَwaskānaأَبُوكِyour fatherabūkiٱمْرَأَan evil manim'ra-aسَوْءٍۢan evil mansawinوَمَاand notwamāكَانَتْwaskānatأُمُّكِyour motherummukiبَغِيًّۭاunchastebaghiyyan٢٨
"Soeur de Aaron (Harûn) , ton père n’était pas un homme de mal et ta mère n’était pas une prostituée."
19:29
فَأَشَارَتْThen she pointedfa-ashāratإِلَيْهِ ۖto himilayhiقَالُوا۟They saidqālūكَيْفَHowkayfaنُكَلِّمُ(can) we speaknukallimuمَن(to one) whomanكَانَiskānaفِىinfīٱلْمَهْدِthe cradlel-mahdiصَبِيًّۭاa childṣabiyyan٢٩
Elle fit alors un signe vers lui [le bébé]. Ils dirent : "Comment parlerions-nous à un bébé au berceau ?"
19:30
قَالَHe saidqālaإِنِّىIndeed, I aminnīعَبْدُa slaveʿabduٱللَّهِ(of) Allahl-lahiءَاتَىٰنِىَHe gave meātāniyaٱلْكِتَـٰبَthe Scripturel-kitābaوَجَعَلَنِىand made mewajaʿalanīنَبِيًّۭاa Prophetnabiyyan٣٠
Mais [le bébé] dit : "Je suis vraiment le serviteur d’Allah. Il m’a donné le Livre et m’a désigné Prophète.
19:31
وَجَعَلَنِىAnd He (has) made mewajaʿalanīمُبَارَكًاblessedmubārakanأَيْنَwhereveraynaمَاwherevermāكُنتُI amkuntuوَأَوْصَـٰنِىand has enjoined (on) mewa-awṣānīبِٱلصَّلَوٰةِ[of] the prayerbil-ṣalatiوَٱلزَّكَوٰةِand zakahwal-zakatiمَاas long as I ammāدُمْتُas long as I amdum'tuحَيًّۭاaliveḥayyan٣١
Où que je sois, Il m’a rendu béni; et Il m’a recommandé, tant que je vivrai, la prière (As-Salât) et l’aumône (Az-Zakât) ;
19:32
وَبَرًّۢاAnd dutifulwabarranبِوَٰلِدَتِىto my motherbiwālidatīوَلَمْand notwalamيَجْعَلْنِىHe (has) made meyajʿalnīجَبَّارًۭاinsolentjabbāranشَقِيًّۭاunblessedshaqiyyan٣٢
et la bonté envers ma mère. Il ne m’a fait ni violent ni malheureux.
19:33
وَٱلسَّلَـٰمُAnd peace (be)wal-salāmuعَلَىَّon meʿalayyaيَوْمَ(the) dayyawmaوُلِدتُّI was bornwulidttuوَيَوْمَand (the) daywayawmaأَمُوتُI will dieamūtuوَيَوْمَand (the) DaywayawmaأُبْعَثُI will be raisedub'ʿathuحَيًّۭاaliveḥayyan٣٣
Et que la paix soit sur moi le jour où je naquis, le jour où je mourrai, et le jour où je serai ressuscité vivant."
19:34
ذَٰلِكَThatdhālikaعِيسَى(was) Isaʿīsāٱبْنُ(the) sonub'nuمَرْيَمَ ۚ(of) Maryammaryamaقَوْلَa statementqawlaٱلْحَقِّ(of) truthl-ḥaqiٱلَّذِىthat whichalladhīفِيهِabout itfīhiيَمْتَرُونَthey disputeyamtarūna٣٤
Tel est Jésus('Issâ), fils de Marie: parole de vérité, dont ils doutent.
19:35
مَاNotmāكَانَ(it) iskānaلِلَّهِfor AllahlillahiأَنthatanيَتَّخِذَHe should takeyattakhidhaمِنany sonminوَلَدٍۢ ۖany sonwaladinسُبْحَـٰنَهُۥٓ ۚGlory be to Himsub'ḥānahuإِذَاWhenidhāقَضَىٰٓHe decreesqaḍāأَمْرًۭاa matteramranفَإِنَّمَاthen onlyfa-innamāيَقُولُHe saysyaqūluلَهُۥto itlahuكُنBekunفَيَكُونُand it isfayakūnu٣٥
Il ne convient pas à Allah de S’attribuer un fils. Gloire à Lui ! Quand Il décide d’une chose, Il dit seulement : "Sois !" et elle est.
19:36
وَإِنَّAnd indeedwa-innaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaرَبِّى(is) my Lordrabbīوَرَبُّكُمْand your Lordwarabbukumفَٱعْبُدُوهُ ۚso worship Himfa-uʿ'budūhuهَـٰذَاThishādhāصِرَٰطٌۭ(is) a pathṣirāṭunمُّسْتَقِيمٌۭstraightmus'taqīmun٣٦
"Certes, Allah est mon Seigneur tout comme votre Seigneur. Adorez-Le donc ! Voilà un droit chemin."
19:37
فَٱخْتَلَفَBut differedfa-ikh'talafaٱلْأَحْزَابُthe sectsl-aḥzābuمِنۢfrom among themminبَيْنِهِمْ ۖfrom among thembaynihimفَوَيْلٌۭso woefawaylunلِّلَّذِينَto those wholilladhīnaكَفَرُوا۟disbelievekafarūمِنfromminمَّشْهَدِ(the) witnessingmashhadiيَوْمٍ(of) a Dayyawminعَظِيمٍgreatʿaẓīmin٣٧
[Par la suite,] les sectes divergèrent entre elles. Alors, malheur aux mécréants lors de la vue d’un jour terrible !
19:38
أَسْمِعْHow they will hearasmiʿبِهِمْHow they will hearbihimوَأَبْصِرْand how (they will) seewa-abṣirيَوْمَ(the) Dayyawmaيَأْتُونَنَا ۖthey will come to Usyatūnanāلَـٰكِنِbutlākiniٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَthe wrongdoersl-ẓālimūnaٱلْيَوْمَtodayl-yawmaفِى(are) infīضَلَـٰلٍۢerrorḍalālinمُّبِينٍۢclearmubīnin٣٨
Comme ils entendront et verront bien le jour où ils viendront à Nous ! Mais aujourd’hui, les injustes sont dans un égarement évident.
19:39
وَأَنذِرْهُمْAnd warn themwa-andhir'humيَوْمَ(of the) Dayyawmaٱلْحَسْرَةِ(of) the Regretl-ḥasratiإِذْwhenidhقُضِىَhas been decidedquḍiyaٱلْأَمْرُthe matterl-amruوَهُمْAnd theywahumفِى(are) infīغَفْلَةٍۢheedlessnessghaflatinوَهُمْand theywahumلَا(do) notlāيُؤْمِنُونَbelieveyu'minūna٣٩
Et avertis-les du jour du Regret, quand tout sera réglé; alors qu’ils sont [dans ce monde] inattentifs et qu’ils ne croient pas.
19:40
إِنَّاIndeed, Weinnāنَحْنُ[We]naḥnuنَرِثُ[We] will inheritnarithuٱلْأَرْضَthe earthl-arḍaوَمَنْand whoeverwamanعَلَيْهَا(is) on itʿalayhāوَإِلَيْنَاand to Uswa-ilaynāيُرْجَعُونَthey will be returnedyur'jaʿūna٤٠
C’est Nous, en vérité, qui hériterons la Terre et tout ce qui s’y trouve, et c’est à Nous qu’ils seront ramenés.
19:41
وَٱذْكُرْAnd mentionwa-udh'kurفِىinfīٱلْكِتَـٰبِthe Bookl-kitābiإِبْرَٰهِيمَ ۚIbrahimib'rāhīmaإِنَّهُۥIndeed, heinnahuكَانَwaskānaصِدِّيقًۭاa man of truthṣiddīqanنَّبِيًّاa Prophetnabiyyan٤١
Et mentionne dans le Livre, Abraham C’était un très véridique et un Prophète.
19:42
إِذْWhenidhقَالَhe saidqālaلِأَبِيهِto his fatherli-abīhiيَـٰٓأَبَتِO my fatheryāabatiلِمَWhylimaتَعْبُدُ(do) you worshiptaʿbuduمَاthat whichmāلَاnotlāيَسْمَعُhearsyasmaʿuوَلَاand notwalāيُبْصِرُseesyub'ṣiruوَلَاand notwalāيُغْنِىbenefitsyugh'nīعَنكَ[to] youʿankaشَيْـًۭٔا(in) anythingshayan٤٢
Lorsqu’il dit à son père : “Ô mon cher père ! Pourquoi adores-tu ce qui n’entend ni ne voit, et ne te profite en rien ?
19:43
يَـٰٓأَبَتِO my fatheryāabatiإِنِّىIndeed, [I]innīقَدْverilyqadجَآءَنِى(has) come to mejāanīمِنَofminaٱلْعِلْمِthe knowledgel-ʿil'miمَاwhatmāلَمْnotlamيَأْتِكَcame to youyatikaفَٱتَّبِعْنِىٓso follow mefa-ittabiʿ'nīأَهْدِكَI will guide youahdikaصِرَٰطًۭا(to) the pathṣirāṭanسَوِيًّۭاevensawiyyan٤٣
Ô mon cher père ! Il m’est venu de la science ce que tu n’as pas reçu ; suis-moi donc, je te guiderai sur une voie droite.
19:44
يَـٰٓأَبَتِO my fatheryāabatiلَا(Do) notlāتَعْبُدِworshiptaʿbudiٱلشَّيْطَـٰنَ ۖthe Shaitaanl-shayṭānaإِنَّIndeedinnaٱلشَّيْطَـٰنَthe Shaitaanl-shayṭānaكَانَiskānaلِلرَّحْمَـٰنِto the Most Graciouslilrraḥmāniعَصِيًّۭاdisobedientʿaṣiyyan٤٤
Ô mon cher père ! N’adore pas le Diable (Satan), car le Diable désobéit au Tout Miséricordieux !
19:45
يَـٰٓأَبَتِO my fatheryāabatiإِنِّىٓIndeed, Iinnīأَخَافُ[I] fearakhāfuأَنthatanيَمَسَّكَwill touch youyamassakaعَذَابٌۭa punishmentʿadhābunمِّنَfromminaٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِthe Most Graciousl-raḥmāniفَتَكُونَso you would befatakūnaلِلشَّيْطَـٰنِto the Shaitaanlilshayṭāniوَلِيًّۭاa friendwaliyyan٤٥
Ô mon cher père ! Je crains qu’un châtiment venant du Tout Miséricordieux ne te touche et que tu ne deviennes un allié du Diable (Satan).”
19:46
قَالَHe saidqālaأَرَاغِبٌDo you hatearāghibunأَنتَDo you hateantaعَنْ(from)ʿanءَالِهَتِىmy godsālihatīيَـٰٓإِبْرَٰهِيمُ ۖO Ibrahimyāib'rāhīmuلَئِنSurely, ifla-inلَّمْnotlamتَنتَهِyou desisttantahiلَأَرْجُمَنَّكَ ۖsurely, I will stone youla-arjumannakaوَٱهْجُرْنِىso leave mewa-uh'jur'nīمَلِيًّۭا(for) a prolonged timemaliyyan٤٦
Il dit : "Ô Abraham ! Aurais-tu du dédain pour mes divinités ? Si tu ne cesses pas, certes je te lapiderai, éloigne-toi de moi pour bien longtemps."
19:47
قَالَHe saidqālaسَلَـٰمٌPeace (be)salāmunعَلَيْكَ ۖon youʿalaykaسَأَسْتَغْفِرُI will ask forgivenesssa-astaghfiruلَكَfor youlakaرَبِّىٓ ۖ(from) my LordrabbīإِنَّهُۥIndeed, Heinnahuكَانَiskānaبِىto mebīحَفِيًّۭاEver Graciousḥafiyyan٤٧
"Paix sur toi", dit Abraham. "J'implorerai mon Seigneur de te pardonner car Il a toujours été bienveillant à mon égard, répondant à mes prières."
19:48
وَأَعْتَزِلُكُمْAnd I will leave youwa-aʿtazilukumوَمَاand whatwamāتَدْعُونَyou invoketadʿūnaمِنbesidesminدُونِbesidesdūniٱللَّهِAllahl-lahiوَأَدْعُوا۟and I will invokewa-adʿūرَبِّىmy LordrabbīعَسَىٰٓMay beʿasāأَلَّآthat notallāأَكُونَI will beakūnaبِدُعَآءِin invocationbiduʿāiرَبِّى(to) my Lordrabbīشَقِيًّۭاunblessedshaqiyyan٤٨
Je me sépare de vous, ainsi que de ce que vous invoquez, en dehors d’Allah, et j’invoquerai mon Seigneur. J’espère ne pas être malheureux dans mon appel à mon Seigneur."
19:49
فَلَمَّاSo whenfalammāٱعْتَزَلَهُمْhe left themiʿ'tazalahumوَمَاand whatwamāيَعْبُدُونَthey worshippedyaʿbudūnaمِنbesides Allahminدُونِbesides Allahdūniٱللَّهِbesides Allahl-lahiوَهَبْنَا[and] We bestowedwahabnāلَهُۥٓ[to] himlahuإِسْحَـٰقَIsaacis'ḥāqaوَيَعْقُوبَ ۖand Yaqubwayaʿqūbaوَكُلًّۭاand each (of them)wakullanجَعَلْنَاWe madejaʿalnāنَبِيًّۭاa Prophetnabiyyan٤٩
Puis, lorsqu’il se fut séparé d’eux et de ce qu’ils adoraient en dehors d’Allah, Nous lui fîmes don d’Isaac et de Jacob; et de chacun Nous fîmes un Prophète.
19:50
وَوَهَبْنَاAnd We bestowedwawahabnāلَهُمto themlahumمِّنofminرَّحْمَتِنَاOur Mercyraḥmatināوَجَعَلْنَاand We madewajaʿalnāلَهُمْfor themlahumلِسَانَa truthful mentionlisānaصِدْقٍa truthful mentionṣid'qinعَلِيًّۭاhighʿaliyyan٥٠
Et Nous leur donnâmes de Notre miséricorde, et Nous leur accordâmes un langage sublime de vérité.
19:51
وَٱذْكُرْAnd mentionwa-udh'kurفِىinfīٱلْكِتَـٰبِthe Bookl-kitābiمُوسَىٰٓ ۚMusamūsāإِنَّهُۥIndeed, heinnahuكَانَwaskānaمُخْلَصًۭاchosenmukh'laṣanوَكَانَand waswakānaرَسُولًۭاa Messengerrasūlanنَّبِيًّۭاa Prophetnabiyyan٥١
Et mentionne dans le Livre Moïse. C’était vraiment un élu, et c’était un Messager et un Prophète.
19:52
وَنَـٰدَيْنَـٰهُAnd We called himwanādaynāhuمِنfromminجَانِبِ(the) sidejānibiٱلطُّورِ(of) the Mountl-ṭūriٱلْأَيْمَنِthe rightl-aymaniوَقَرَّبْنَـٰهُand brought him nearwaqarrabnāhuنَجِيًّۭا(for) conversationnajiyyan٥٢
Du côté droit du Mont (Sinaï) Nous l’appelâmes et Nous le fîmes approcher tel un confident.
19:53
وَوَهَبْنَاAnd We bestowedwawahabnāلَهُۥ[to] himlahuمِنfromminرَّحْمَتِنَآOur Mercyraḥmatināأَخَاهُhis brotherakhāhuهَـٰرُونَHarunhārūnaنَبِيًّۭاa Prophetnabiyyan٥٣
Et par Notre miséricorde, Nous lui donnâmes Aaron son frère comme Prophète.
19:54
وَٱذْكُرْAnd mentionwa-udh'kurفِىinfīٱلْكِتَـٰبِthe Bookl-kitābiإِسْمَـٰعِيلَ ۚIshmaelis'māʿīlaإِنَّهُۥIndeed, heinnahuكَانَwaskānaصَادِقَtrueṣādiqaٱلْوَعْدِ(to his) promisel-waʿdiوَكَانَand waswakānaرَسُولًۭاa Messenger rasūlanنَّبِيًّۭاa Prophetnabiyyan٥٤
Et mentionne Ismaël, dans le Livre. Il était fidèle à ses promesses; et c’était un Messager et un Prophète.
19:55
وَكَانَAnd he usedwakānaيَأْمُرُ(to) enjoinyamuruأَهْلَهُۥ(on) his peopleahlahuبِٱلصَّلَوٰةِthe prayerbil-ṣalatiوَٱلزَّكَوٰةِand zakahwal-zakatiوَكَانَand waswakānaعِندَnearʿindaرَبِّهِۦhis Lordrabbihiمَرْضِيًّۭاpleasingmarḍiyyan٥٥
Et il commandait à sa famille la prière (As-Salât) et l’aumône (Az-Zakât) ; et il était agréé auprès de son Seigneur.
19:56
وَٱذْكُرْAnd mentionwa-udh'kurفِىinfīٱلْكِتَـٰبِthe Bookl-kitābiإِدْرِيسَ ۚIdrisid'rīsaإِنَّهُۥIndeed, heinnahuكَانَwaskānaصِدِّيقًۭاtruthfulṣiddīqanنَّبِيًّۭاa Prophetnabiyyan٥٦
Et mentionne Idris, dans le Livre. C’était un véridique et un Prophète.
19:57
وَرَفَعْنَـٰهُAnd We raised himwarafaʿnāhuمَكَانًا(to) a positionmakānanعَلِيًّاhighʿaliyyan٥٧
Et Nous l’élevâmes à un haut rang.
19:58
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَThoseulāikaٱلَّذِينَ(were) the ones whomalladhīnaأَنْعَمَAllah bestowed favoranʿamaٱللَّهُAllah bestowed favorl-lahuعَلَيْهِمupon themʿalayhimمِّنَfrom (among)minaٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَthe Prophetsl-nabiyīnaمِنofminذُرِّيَّةِ(the) offspringdhurriyyatiءَادَمَ(of) Adamādamaوَمِمَّنْand of thosewamimmanحَمَلْنَاWe carriedḥamalnāمَعَwithmaʿaنُوحٍۢNuhnūḥinوَمِنand ofwaminذُرِّيَّةِ(the) offspringdhurriyyatiإِبْرَٰهِيمَ(of) Ibrahimib'rāhīmaوَإِسْرَٰٓءِيلَand Israelwa-is'rāīlaوَمِمَّنْand of (those) whomwamimmanهَدَيْنَاWe guidedhadaynāوَٱجْتَبَيْنَآ ۚand We chosewa-ij'tabaynāإِذَاWhenidhāتُتْلَىٰwere recitedtut'lāعَلَيْهِمْto themʿalayhimءَايَـٰتُ(the) Versesāyātuٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ(of) the Most Graciousl-raḥmāniخَرُّوا۟they fellkharrūسُجَّدًۭاprostratingsujjadanوَبُكِيًّۭا ۩and weepingwabukiyyan٥٨
Voilà ceux qu’Allah a comblés de faveurs, parmi les Prophètes, parmi les descendants d’Adam, et aussi parmi ceux que Nous avons transportés en compagnie de Noé, et parmi la descendance d’Abraham et d’Israël, et parmi ceux que Nous avons guidés et choisis. Lorsque les versets du Tout Miséricordieux leur étaient récités, ils tombaient prosternés en pleurant .
19:59
۞ فَخَلَفَThen succeededfakhalafaمِنۢafter themminبَعْدِهِمْafter thembaʿdihimخَلْفٌsuccessorskhalfunأَضَاعُوا۟who neglectedaḍāʿūٱلصَّلَوٰةَthe prayerl-ṣalataوَٱتَّبَعُوا۟and they followedwa-ittabaʿūٱلشَّهَوَٰتِ ۖthe lustsl-shahawātiفَسَوْفَso soonfasawfaيَلْقَوْنَthey will meetyalqawnaغَيًّاevilghayyan٥٩
Puis leur succédèrent des générations qui délaissèrent la prière et suivirent leurs passions. Ils se trouvèrent en perdition,
19:60
إِلَّاExceptillāمَن(one) whomanتَابَrepentedtābaوَءَامَنَand believedwaāmanaوَعَمِلَand didwaʿamilaصَـٰلِحًۭاgood (deeds)ṣāliḥanفَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَThen thosefa-ulāikaيَدْخُلُونَwill enteryadkhulūnaٱلْجَنَّةَParadisel-janataوَلَاand notwalāيُظْلَمُونَthey will be wrongedyuẓ'lamūnaشَيْـًۭٔا(in) anythingshayan٦٠
sauf celui qui se repent, croit et fait le bien : ceux-là entreront au Paradis et ne seront point lésés,
19:61
جَنَّـٰتِGardensjannātiعَدْنٍ(of) Edenʿadninٱلَّتِىwhichallatīوَعَدَpromisedwaʿadaٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُthe Most Graciousl-raḥmānuعِبَادَهُۥ(to) His slavesʿibādahuبِٱلْغَيْبِ ۚin the unseenbil-ghaybiإِنَّهُۥIndeed, [it]innahuكَانَiskānaوَعْدُهُۥHis promisewaʿduhuمَأْتِيًّۭاsure to comematiyyan٦١
aux jardins du séjour (éternel) que le Tout Miséricordieux a promis à Ses serviteurs, [qui ont cru] au mystère. Car Sa promesse arrivera sans nul doute.
19:62
لَّاNotlāيَسْمَعُونَthey will hearyasmaʿūnaفِيهَاthereinfīhāلَغْوًاvain talklaghwanإِلَّاbutillāسَلَـٰمًۭا ۖpeacesalāmanوَلَهُمْAnd for themwalahumرِزْقُهُمْ(is) their provisionriz'quhumفِيهَاthereinfīhāبُكْرَةًۭmorningbuk'ratanوَعَشِيًّۭاand eveningwaʿashiyyan٦٢
Ils n’y entendront nulle parole insignifiante mais seulement: “Paix (Salâm)” ; et ils auront là leur nourriture, matin et soir.
19:63
تِلْكَThistil'kaٱلْجَنَّةُ(is) Paradisel-janatuٱلَّتِىwhichallatīنُورِثُWe give (as) inheritancenūrithuمِنْ[of] (to)minعِبَادِنَاOur slavesʿibādināمَن(the one) whomanكَانَiskānaتَقِيًّۭاrighteoustaqiyyan٦٣
Voilà le Paradis dont Nous ferons hériter ceux de Nos serviteurs qui auront été pieux.
19:64
وَمَاAnd notwamāنَتَنَزَّلُwe descendnatanazzaluإِلَّاexceptillāبِأَمْرِby (the) Commandbi-amriرَبِّكَ ۖ(of) your LordrabbikaلَهُۥTo Him (belongs)lahuمَاwhatmāبَيْنَ(is) before usbaynaأَيْدِينَا(is) before usaydīnāوَمَاand whatwamāخَلْفَنَا(is) behind uskhalfanāوَمَاand whatwamāبَيْنَ(is) betweenbaynaذَٰلِكَ ۚthatdhālikaوَمَاAnd notwamāكَانَiskānaرَبُّكَyour Lordrabbukaنَسِيًّۭاforgetfulnasiyyan٦٤
"Nous ne descendons que sur ordre de ton Seigneur . À Lui tout ce qui est devant nous, tout ce qui est derrière nous et tout ce qui est entre les deux. Et ton Seigneur n’oublie rien.
19:65
رَّبُّLordrabbuٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ(of) the heavensl-samāwātiوَٱلْأَرْضِand the earthwal-arḍiوَمَاand whateverwamāبَيْنَهُمَا(is) between both of thembaynahumāفَٱعْبُدْهُso worship Himfa-uʿ'bud'huوَٱصْطَبِرْand be constantwa-iṣ'ṭabirلِعِبَـٰدَتِهِۦ ۚin His worshipliʿibādatihiهَلْDohalتَعْلَمُyou knowtaʿlamuلَهُۥfor Himlahuسَمِيًّۭاany similaritysamiyyan٦٥
Il est le Seigneur des cieux et de la Terre et de tout ce qui est entre eux deux. Adore-Le donc, et sois constant dans Son adoration. Lui connais-tu un homonyme ?"
19:66
وَيَقُولُAnd sayswayaqūluٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ[the] manl-insānuأَءِذَاWhat! Whena-idhāمَاWhat! WhenmāمِتُّI am deadmittuلَسَوْفَsurely willlasawfaأُخْرَجُI be brought forthukh'rajuحَيًّاaliveḥayyan٦٦
Et l’homme dit : "Une fois mort, me sortira-t-on vivant ?"
19:67
أَوَلَاDoes notawalāيَذْكُرُrememberyadhkuruٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ[the] manl-insānuأَنَّاthat WeannāخَلَقْنَـٰهُWe created himkhalaqnāhuمِنbeforeminقَبْلُbeforeqabluوَلَمْwhile notwalamيَكُhe wasyakuشَيْـًۭٔاanythingshayan٦٧
L’homme ne se rappelle-t-il pas qu’avant cela, c’est Nous qui l’avons créé, alors qu’il n’était rien?
19:68
فَوَرَبِّكَSo by your Lordfawarabbikaلَنَحْشُرَنَّهُمْsurely, We will gather themlanaḥshurannahumوَٱلشَّيَـٰطِينَand the devilswal-shayāṭīnaثُمَّthenthummaلَنُحْضِرَنَّهُمْsurely, We will bring themlanuḥ'ḍirannahumحَوْلَaroundḥawlaجَهَنَّمَHelljahannamaجِثِيًّۭاbent (on) kneesjithiyyan٦٨
Par ton Seigneur! Assurément, Nous les rassemblerons, eux et les diables. Puis, Nous les placerons autour de l’Enfer, agenouillés.
19:69
ثُمَّThenthummaلَنَنزِعَنَّsurely, We will drag outlananziʿannaمِنfromminكُلِّeverykulliشِيعَةٍsectshīʿatinأَيُّهُمْthose of themayyuhumأَشَدُّ(who were) worstashadduعَلَىagainstʿalāٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِthe Most Graciousl-raḥmāniعِتِيًّۭا(in) rebellionʿitiyyan٦٩
Ensuite, Nous arracherons de chaque groupe ceux d’entre eux qui étaient les plus obstinés contre le Tout Miséricordieux.
19:70
ثُمَّThenthummaلَنَحْنُsurely, Welanaḥnuأَعْلَمُknow bestaʿlamuبِٱلَّذِينَ[of] those whobi-alladhīnaهُمْ[they]humأَوْلَىٰ(are) most worthyawlāبِهَاthereinbihāصِلِيًّۭا(of) being burntṣiliyyan٧٠
Puis nous sommes le meilleur à savoir ceux qui méritent le plus d’y être brûlés.
19:71
وَإِنAnd (there is) notwa-inمِّنكُمْ(any) of youminkumإِلَّاbutillāوَارِدُهَا ۚ(will be) passing over itwāriduhāكَانَ(This) iskānaعَلَىٰuponʿalāرَبِّكَyour Lordrabbikaحَتْمًۭاan inevitabilityḥatmanمَّقْضِيًّۭاdecreedmaqḍiyyan٧١
Et il n’y a personne parmi vous qui ne passera pas par [L’Enfer] : Car [il s’agit là] pour ton Seigneur d’une sentence irrévocable.
19:72
ثُمَّThenthummaنُنَجِّىWe will delivernunajjīٱلَّذِينَthose whoalladhīnaٱتَّقَوا۟feared (Allah)ittaqawوَّنَذَرُand We will leavewanadharuٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَthe wrongdoersl-ẓālimīnaفِيهَاthereinfīhāجِثِيًّۭاbent (on) kneesjithiyyan٧٢
Ensuite, Nous délivrerons ceux qui étaient pieux et Nous y laisserons les injustes agenouillés.
19:73
وَإِذَاAnd whenwa-idhāتُتْلَىٰare recitedtut'lāعَلَيْهِمْto themʿalayhimءَايَـٰتُنَاOur Versesāyātunāبَيِّنَـٰتٍۢclearbayyinātinقَالَsayqālaٱلَّذِينَthose whoalladhīnaكَفَرُوا۟disbelievedkafarūلِلَّذِينَto those wholilladhīnaءَامَنُوٓا۟believedāmanūأَىُّWhichayyuٱلْفَرِيقَيْنِ(of) the two groupsl-farīqayniخَيْرٌۭ(is) betterkhayrunمَّقَامًۭا(in) positionmaqāmanوَأَحْسَنُand bestwa-aḥsanuنَدِيًّۭا(in) assemblynadiyyan٧٣
Et lorsque Nos versets évidents leur sont récités les mécréants disent à ceux qui croient: "Lequel des deux groupes a la situation la plus confortable et la meilleure compagnie ?"
19:74
وَكَمْAnd how manywakamأَهْلَكْنَاWe destroyedahlaknāقَبْلَهُمbefore themqablahumمِّنofminقَرْنٍa generation qarninهُمْtheyhumأَحْسَنُ(were) betteraḥsanuأَثَـٰثًۭا(in) possessionsathāthanوَرِءْيًۭاand appearancewari'yan٧٤
Et combien de générations, avant eux, avons-Nous fait périr, qui les surpassaient en biens et en apparence ?
19:75
قُلْSayqulمَنWhoevermanكَانَiskānaفِىinfīٱلضَّلَـٰلَةِ[the] errorl-ḍalālatiفَلْيَمْدُدْthen surely will extendfalyamdudلَهُfor himlahuٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُthe Most Graciousl-raḥmānuمَدًّا ۚan extensionmaddanحَتَّىٰٓuntilḥattāإِذَاwhenidhāرَأَوْا۟they seera-awمَاwhatmāيُوعَدُونَthey were promisedyūʿadūnaإِمَّاeitherimmāٱلْعَذَابَthe punishmentl-ʿadhābaوَإِمَّاorwa-immāٱلسَّاعَةَthe Hourl-sāʿataفَسَيَعْلَمُونَthen they will knowfasayaʿlamūnaمَنْwhomanهُوَ[he]huwaشَرٌّۭ(is) worstsharrunمَّكَانًۭا(in) positionmakānanوَأَضْعَفُand weakerwa-aḍʿafuجُندًۭا(in) forcesjundan٧٥
Dis : "Celui qui est dans l’égarement, que le Tout Miséricordieux prolonge sa vie pour un certain temps, jusqu’à ce qu’ils voient soit le châtiment, soit l’Heure dont ils sont menacés. Alors, ils sauront qui a la pire situation et la troupe la plus faible."
19:76
وَيَزِيدُAnd Allah increaseswayazīduٱللَّهُAnd Allah increasesl-lahuٱلَّذِينَthose whoalladhīnaٱهْتَدَوْا۟accept guidanceih'tadawهُدًۭى ۗ(in) guidancehudanوَٱلْبَـٰقِيَـٰتُAnd the everlastingwal-bāqiyātuٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتُgood deedsl-ṣāliḥātuخَيْرٌ(are) betterkhayrunعِندَnearʿindaرَبِّكَyour Lordrabbikaثَوَابًۭا(for) rewardthawābanوَخَيْرٌۭand betterwakhayrunمَّرَدًّا(for) returnmaraddan٧٦
Allah accroît la rectitude de ceux qui suivent le bon chemin, et les bonnes œuvres durables méritent auprès de ton Seigneur une meilleure récompense et une meilleure destination.
19:77
أَفَرَءَيْتَThen, have you seenafara-aytaٱلَّذِىhe whoalladhīكَفَرَdisbelievedkafaraبِـَٔايَـٰتِنَاin Our Versesbiāyātināوَقَالَand saidwaqālaلَأُوتَيَنَّSurely, I will be givenlaūtayannaمَالًۭاwealthmālanوَوَلَدًاand childrenwawaladan٧٧
As-tu vu celui qui ne croit pas à Nos versets et dit : "On me donnera certes des biens et des enfants !"
19:78
أَطَّلَعَHas he lookedaṭṭalaʿaٱلْغَيْبَ(into) the unseenl-ghaybaأَمِoramiٱتَّخَذَhas he takenittakhadhaعِندَfromʿindaٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِthe Most Graciousl-raḥmāniعَهْدًۭاa promiseʿahdan٧٨
Est-il au courant de l’Inconnaissable ou a-t-il pris un engagement avec le Tout Miséricordieux ?
19:79
كَلَّا ۚNaykallāسَنَكْتُبُWe will recordsanaktubuمَاwhatmāيَقُولُhe saysyaqūluوَنَمُدُّand We will extendwanamudduلَهُۥfor himlahuمِنَfromminaٱلْعَذَابِthe punishmentl-ʿadhābiمَدًّۭاextensivelymaddan٧٩
Bien au contraire ! Nous enregistrerons ce qu’il dit et Nous accroîtrons la durée son châtiment.
19:80
وَنَرِثُهُۥAnd We will inherit (from) himwanarithuhuمَاwhatmāيَقُولُhe saysyaqūluوَيَأْتِينَاand he will come to Uswayatīnāفَرْدًۭاalonefardan٨٠
Et c’est Nous qui hériterons ce dont il parle, tandis qu’il viendra à Nous, tout seul.
19:81
وَٱتَّخَذُوا۟And they have takenwa-ittakhadhūمِنbesides Allahminدُونِbesides Allahdūniٱللَّهِbesides Allahl-lahiءَالِهَةًۭgodsālihatanلِّيَكُونُوا۟that they may beliyakūnūلَهُمْfor themlahumعِزًّۭاan honorʿizzan٨١
Et ils ont adopté des divinités en dehors d’Allah pour qu’ils leur soient des protecteurs (contre le châtiment).
19:82
كَلَّا ۚNaykallāسَيَكْفُرُونَthey will denysayakfurūnaبِعِبَادَتِهِمْtheir worship (of them)biʿibādatihimوَيَكُونُونَand they will bewayakūnūnaعَلَيْهِمْagainst themʿalayhimضِدًّاopponentsḍiddan٨٢
Bien au contraire ! [Ces divinités] renieront leur adoration et seront pour eux des adversaires.
19:83
أَلَمْDo notalamتَرَyou seetaraأَنَّآthat Weannāأَرْسَلْنَا[We] have sentarsalnāٱلشَّيَـٰطِينَthe devilsl-shayāṭīnaعَلَىuponʿalāٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَthe disbelieversl-kāfirīnaتَؤُزُّهُمْinciting themta-uzzuhumأَزًّۭا(with) incitementazzan٨٣
N’as-tu pas vu que Nous avons envoyé contre les mécréants des diables qui les excitent furieusement [à désobéir] ?
19:84
فَلَاSo (do) notfalāتَعْجَلْmake hastetaʿjalعَلَيْهِمْ ۖagainst themʿalayhimإِنَّمَاOnlyinnamāنَعُدُّWe countnaʿudduلَهُمْfor themlahumعَدًّۭاa numberʿaddan٨٤
Ne te hâte donc pas contre eux : Nous tenons un compte précis de [tous leurs actes].
19:85
يَوْمَ(The) DayyawmaنَحْشُرُWe will gathernaḥshuruٱلْمُتَّقِينَthe righteousl-mutaqīnaإِلَىtoilāٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِthe Most Graciousl-raḥmāniوَفْدًۭا(as) a delegationwafdan٨٥
Et (Rappelle) le jour où Nous rassemblerons les pieux sur des montures et en grande pompe, auprès du Tout Miséricordieux,
19:86
وَنَسُوقُAnd We will drivewanasūquٱلْمُجْرِمِينَthe criminalsl-muj'rimīnaإِلَىٰtoilāجَهَنَّمَHelljahannamaوِرْدًۭاthirstywir'dan٨٦
et Nous pousserons les criminels à l’Enfer comme (un troupeau) à l’abreuvoir,
19:87
لَّاNotlāيَمْلِكُونَthey will have the poweryamlikūnaٱلشَّفَـٰعَةَ(of) the intercessionl-shafāʿataإِلَّاexceptillāمَنِ(he) whomaniٱتَّخَذَhas takenittakhadhaعِندَfromʿindaٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِthe Most Graciousl-raḥmāniعَهْدًۭاa covenantʿahdan٨٧
ils ne disposeront d’aucune intercession, sauf celui qui aura pris un engagement avec le Tout Miséricordieux.
19:88
وَقَالُوا۟And they saywaqālūٱتَّخَذَHas takenittakhadhaٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُthe Most Graciousl-raḥmānuوَلَدًۭاa sonwaladan٨٨
Et ils ont dit : "Le Tout Miséricordieux S’est attribué un enfant !"
19:89
لَّقَدْVerilylaqadجِئْتُمْyou have put forthji'tumشَيْـًٔاa thingshayanإِدًّۭاatrociousiddan٨٩
Vous avancez certes là une chose abominable !
19:90
تَكَادُAlmosttakāduٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتُthe heavensl-samāwātuيَتَفَطَّرْنَget tornyatafaṭṭarnaمِنْهُtherefrommin'huوَتَنشَقُّand splits asunderwatanshaqquٱلْأَرْضُthe earthl-arḍuوَتَخِرُّand collapsewatakhirruٱلْجِبَالُthe mountainl-jibāluهَدًّا(in) devastationhaddan٩٠
Peu s’en faut que les cieux ne s’entrouvrent à ces mots, que la terre ne se fende et que les montagnes ne s’écroulent,
19:91
أَنThatanدَعَوْا۟they invokedaʿawلِلرَّحْمَـٰنِto the Most Graciouslilrraḥmāniوَلَدًۭاa sonwaladan٩١
du fait qu’ils ont attribué un enfant au Tout Miséricordieux,
19:92
وَمَاAnd notwamāيَنۢبَغِىis appropriateyanbaghīلِلرَّحْمَـٰنِfor the Most GraciouslilrraḥmāniأَنthatanيَتَّخِذَHe should takeyattakhidhaوَلَدًاa sonwaladan٩٢
alors qu’il ne convient nullement au Tout Miséricordieux d’avoir un enfant !
19:93
إِنNotinكُلُّallkulluمَنwhomanفِى(are) infīٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِthe heavensl-samāwātiوَٱلْأَرْضِand the earthwal-arḍiإِلَّآbutillāءَاتِى(will) comeātīٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ(to) the Most Graciousl-raḥmāniعَبْدًۭا(as) a slaveʿabdan٩٣
Tous ceux qui sont dans les cieux et sur la Terre se rendront auprès du Tout Miséricordieux, [sans exceptions], en serviteurs.
19:94
لَّقَدْVerilylaqadأَحْصَىٰهُمْHe has enumerated themaḥṣāhumوَعَدَّهُمْand counted themwaʿaddahumعَدًّۭاa countingʿaddan٩٤
Il les a certes dénombrés et bien comptés.
19:95
وَكُلُّهُمْAnd all of themwakulluhumءَاتِيهِ(will) come (to) Himātīhiيَوْمَ(on the) Dayyawmaٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ(of) the Resurrectionl-qiyāmatiفَرْدًاalonefardan٩٥
Et au Jour de la Résurrection, chacun d’eux se rendra seul auprès de Lui.
19:96
إِنَّIndeedinnaٱلَّذِينَthose whoalladhīnaءَامَنُوا۟believedāmanūوَعَمِلُوا۟and didwaʿamilūٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِgood deedsl-ṣāliḥātiسَيَجْعَلُwill bestowsayajʿaluلَهُمُfor themlahumuٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُthe Most Graciousl-raḥmānuوُدًّۭاaffectionwuddan٩٦
À ceux qui croient et font de bonnes œuvres, le Tout Miséricordieux accordera Son amour .
19:97
فَإِنَّمَاSo, onlyfa-innamāيَسَّرْنَـٰهُWe (have) made it easyyassarnāhuبِلِسَانِكَin your tonguebilisānikaلِتُبَشِّرَthat you may give glad tidingslitubashiraبِهِwith itbihiٱلْمُتَّقِينَ(to) the righteousl-mutaqīnaوَتُنذِرَand warnwatundhiraبِهِۦwith itbihiقَوْمًۭاa peopleqawmanلُّدًّۭاhostileluddan٩٧
Nous l’avons rendu (le Coran) facile [à comprendre] en ta langue, afin que tu annonces par lui la bonne nouvelle aux gens pieux, et que, tu avertisses un peuple irréductible.
19:98
وَكَمْAnd how manywakamأَهْلَكْنَاWe (have) destroyedahlaknāقَبْلَهُمbefore themqablahumمِّنofminقَرْنٍa generationqarninهَلْCanhalتُحِسُّyou perceivetuḥissuمِنْهُمof themmin'humمِّنْanyminأَحَدٍoneaḥadinأَوْorawتَسْمَعُheartasmaʿuلَهُمْfrom themlahumرِكْزًۢاa soundrik'zan٩٨
Que de générations avant eux avons-Nous fait périr ! En retrouves-tu un seul individu ? Ou en entends-tu le moindre murmure?
