القلم

سورة القلم (القلم) هي السورة رقم ٦٨ في القرآن الكريم — وهي سورة مكية تتألف من ٥٢ آية. السور المكية نزلت قبل هجرة النبي محمد ﷺ إلى المدينة، وتركّز غالبًا على الإيمان وتوحيد الله والآخرة.

بسملة
بِسْمِIn (the) namebis'miٱللَّهِ(of) Allahl-lahiٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِthe Most Graciousl-raḥmāniٱلرَّحِيمِthe Most Mercifull-raḥīmi
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
٦٨:١
نٓ ۚNunnoonوَٱلْقَلَمِBy the penwal-qalamiوَمَاand whatwamāيَسْطُرُونَthey writeyasṭurūna١
Nūn. By the pen and what they inscribe,
٦٨:٢
مَآNotأَنتَyou (are)antaبِنِعْمَةِby (the) Gracebiniʿ'matiرَبِّكَ(of) your Lordrabbikaبِمَجْنُونٍۢa madmanbimajnūnin٢
You are not, [O Muḥammad], by the favor of your Lord, a madman.
٦٨:٣
وَإِنَّAnd indeedwa-innaلَكَfor youlakaلَأَجْرًاsurely (is) a rewardla-ajranغَيْرَwithoutghayraمَمْنُونٍۢendmamnūnin٣
And indeed, for you is a reward uninterrupted.
٦٨:٤
وَإِنَّكَAnd indeed, youwa-innakaلَعَلَىٰsurely (are)laʿalāخُلُقٍ(of) a moral characterkhuluqinعَظِيمٍۢgreatʿaẓīmin٤
And indeed, you are of a great moral character.
٦٨:٥
فَسَتُبْصِرُSo you will seefasatub'ṣiruوَيُبْصِرُونَand they will seewayub'ṣirūna٥
So you will see and they will see.
٦٨:٦
بِأَييِّكُمُWhich of youbi-ayyikumuٱلْمَفْتُونُ(is) the afflicted onel-maftūnu٦
Which of you is the afflicted [by a devil].
٦٨:٧
إِنَّIndeedinnaرَبَّكَyour LordrabbakaهُوَHehuwaأَعْلَمُ(is) most knowingaʿlamuبِمَنof (he) whobimanضَلَّhas strayedḍallaعَنfromʿanسَبِيلِهِۦHis waysabīlihiوَهُوَand Hewahuwaأَعْلَمُ(is) most knowingaʿlamuبِٱلْمُهْتَدِينَof the guided onesbil-muh'tadīna٧
Indeed, your Lord is most knowing of who has gone astray from His way, and He is most knowing of the [rightly] guided.
٦٨:٨
فَلَاSo (do) notfalāتُطِعِobeytuṭiʿiٱلْمُكَذِّبِينَthe deniersl-mukadhibīna٨
Then do not obey the deniers.
٦٨:٩
وَدُّوا۟They wishwaddūلَوْthatlawتُدْهِنُyou should compromisetud'hinuفَيُدْهِنُونَso they would compromisefayud'hinūna٩
They wish that you would soften [in your position], so they would soften [toward you].
٦٨:١٠
وَلَاAnd (do) notwalāتُطِعْobeytuṭiʿكُلَّeverykullaحَلَّافٍۢhabitual swearerḥallāfinمَّهِينٍworthlessmahīnin١٠
And do not obey every worthless habitual swearer
٦٨:١١
هَمَّازٍۢDefamerhammāzinمَّشَّآءٍۭgoing aboutmashāinبِنَمِيمٍۢwith malicious gossipbinamīmin١١
[And] scorner, going about with malicious gossip -
٦٨:١٢
مَّنَّاعٍۢA preventermannāʿinلِّلْخَيْرِof (the) goodlil'khayriمُعْتَدٍtransgressormuʿ'tadinأَثِيمٍsinfulathīmin١٢
A preventer of good, transgressing and sinful,
٦٨:١٣
عُتُلٍّۭCruelʿutullinبَعْدَafterbaʿdaذَٰلِكَ(all) thatdhālikaزَنِيمٍutterly uselesszanīmin١٣
Cruel, moreover, and an illegitimate pretender.
٦٨:١٤
أَنBecauseanكَانَ(he) iskānaذَاa possessordhāمَالٍۢ(of) wealthmālinوَبَنِينَand childrenwabanīna١٤
Because he is a possessor of wealth and children,
٦٨:١٥
إِذَاWhenidhāتُتْلَىٰare recitedtut'lāعَلَيْهِto himʿalayhiءَايَـٰتُنَاOur Versesāyātunāقَالَhe saysqālaأَسَـٰطِيرُStoriesasāṭīruٱلْأَوَّلِينَ(of) the former (people)l-awalīna١٥
When Our verses are recited to him, he says, "Legends of the former peoples."
٦٨:١٦
سَنَسِمُهُۥWe will brand himsanasimuhuعَلَىonʿalāٱلْخُرْطُومِthe snoutl-khur'ṭūmi١٦
We will brand him upon the snout.
٦٨:١٧
إِنَّاIndeed, Weinnāبَلَوْنَـٰهُمْhave tried thembalawnāhumكَمَاaskamāبَلَوْنَآWe triedbalawnāأَصْحَـٰبَ(the) companionsaṣḥābaٱلْجَنَّةِ(of) the gardenl-janatiإِذْwhenidhأَقْسَمُوا۟they sworeaqsamūلَيَصْرِمُنَّهَاto pluck its fruitlayaṣrimunnahāمُصْبِحِينَ(in the) morningmuṣ'biḥīna١٧
Indeed, We have tried them as We tried the companions of the garden, when they swore to cut its fruit in the [early] morning
٦٨:١٨
وَلَاAnd notwalāيَسْتَثْنُونَmaking exceptionyastathnūna١٨
Without making exception.
٦٨:١٩
فَطَافَSo there camefaṭāfaعَلَيْهَاupon itʿalayhāطَآئِفٌۭa visitationṭāifunمِّنfromminرَّبِّكَyour Lordrabbikaوَهُمْwhile theywahumنَآئِمُونَwere asleepnāimūna١٩
So there came upon it [i.e., the garden] an affliction from your Lord while they were asleep.
٦٨:٢٠
فَأَصْبَحَتْSo it becamefa-aṣbaḥatكَٱلصَّرِيمِas if reapedkal-ṣarīmi٢٠
And it became as though reaped.
٦٨:٢١
فَتَنَادَوْا۟And they called one anotherfatanādawمُصْبِحِينَ(at) morningmuṣ'biḥīna٢١
And they called one another at morning,
٦٨:٢٢
أَنِThataniٱغْدُوا۟Go earlyigh'dūعَلَىٰtoʿalāحَرْثِكُمْyour cropḥarthikumإِنifinكُنتُمْyou wouldkuntumصَـٰرِمِينَpluck (the) fruitṣārimīna٢٢
[Saying], "Go early to your crop if you would cut the fruit."
٦٨:٢٣
فَٱنطَلَقُوا۟So they wentfa-inṭalaqūوَهُمْwhile theywahumيَتَخَـٰفَتُونَlowered (their) voicesyatakhāfatūna٢٣
So they set out, while lowering their voices,
٦٨:٢٤
أَنThatanلَّاNotيَدْخُلَنَّهَاwill enter ityadkhulannahāٱلْيَوْمَtodayl-yawmaعَلَيْكُمupon youʿalaykumمِّسْكِينٌۭany poor personmis'kīnun٢٤
[Saying], "There will surely not enter it today upon you [any] poor person."
٦٨:٢٥
وَغَدَوْا۟And they went earlywaghadawعَلَىٰwithʿalāحَرْدٍۢdeterminationḥardinقَـٰدِرِينَableqādirīna٢٥
And they went early in determination, [assuming themselves] able.
٦٨:٢٦
فَلَمَّاBut whenfalammāرَأَوْهَاthey saw itra-awhāقَالُوٓا۟they saidqālūإِنَّاIndeed, weinnāلَضَآلُّونَ(are) surely lostlaḍāllūna٢٦
But when they saw it, they said, "Indeed, we are lost;
٦٨:٢٧
بَلْNaybalنَحْنُWenaḥnuمَحْرُومُونَ(are) deprivedmaḥrūmūna٢٧
Rather, we have been deprived."
٦٨:٢٨
قَالَSaidqālaأَوْسَطُهُمْ(the) most moderate of themawsaṭuhumأَلَمْDid notalamأَقُلI tellaqulلَّكُمْyoulakumلَوْلَا'Why notlawlāتُسَبِّحُونَyou glorify (Allah)?'tusabbiḥūna٢٨
The most moderate of them said, "Did I not say to you, 'Why do you not exalt [Allāh]?'"1
٦٨:٢٩
قَالُوا۟They saidqālūسُبْحَـٰنَGlory besub'ḥānaرَبِّنَآ(to) our LordrabbināإِنَّاIndeed, weinnāكُنَّا[we] werekunnāظَـٰلِمِينَwrongdoersẓālimīna٢٩
They said, "Exalted is our Lord! Indeed, we were wrongdoers."
٦٨:٣٠
فَأَقْبَلَThen approachedfa-aqbalaبَعْضُهُمْsome of thembaʿḍuhumعَلَىٰtoʿalāبَعْضٍۢothersbaʿḍinيَتَلَـٰوَمُونَblaming each otheryatalāwamūna٣٠
Then they approached one another, blaming each other.
٦٨:٣١
قَالُوا۟They saidqālūيَـٰوَيْلَنَآO woe to usyāwaylanāإِنَّاIndeed, weinnāكُنَّا[we] werekunnāطَـٰغِينَtransgressorsṭāghīna٣١
They said, "O woe to us; indeed we were transgressors.
٦٨:٣٢
عَسَىٰPerhapsʿasāرَبُّنَآour Lordrabbunāأَن[that]anيُبْدِلَنَاwill substitute for usyub'dilanāخَيْرًۭاa betterkhayranمِّنْهَآthan itmin'hāإِنَّآIndeed, weinnāإِلَىٰtoilāرَبِّنَاour Lordrabbināرَٰغِبُونَturn devoutlyrāghibūna٣٢
Perhaps our Lord will substitute for us [one] better than it. Indeed, we are toward our Lord desirous."1
٦٨:٣٣
كَذَٰلِكَSuchkadhālikaٱلْعَذَابُ ۖ(is) the punishmentl-ʿadhābuوَلَعَذَابُAnd surely the punishmentwalaʿadhābuٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ(of) the Hereafterl-ākhiratiأَكْبَرُ ۚ(is) greaterakbaruلَوْiflawكَانُوا۟theykānūيَعْلَمُونَknowyaʿlamūna٣٣
Such is the punishment [of this world]. And the punishment of the Hereafter is greater, if they only knew.
٦٨:٣٤
إِنَّIndeedinnaلِلْمُتَّقِينَfor the righteouslil'muttaqīnaعِندَwithʿindaرَبِّهِمْtheir Lordrabbihimجَنَّـٰتِ(are) Gardensjannātiٱلنَّعِيمِ(of) Delightl-naʿīmi٣٤
Indeed, for the righteous with their Lord are the Gardens of Pleasure.
٦٨:٣٥
أَفَنَجْعَلُThen will We treatafanajʿaluٱلْمُسْلِمِينَthe Muslimsl-mus'limīnaكَٱلْمُجْرِمِينَlike the criminalskal-muj'rimīna٣٥
Then will We treat the Muslims like the criminals?
٦٨:٣٦
مَاWhatلَكُمْ(is) for youlakumكَيْفَHowkayfaتَحْكُمُونَ(do) you judgetaḥkumūna٣٦
What is [the matter] with you? How do you judge?
٦٨:٣٧
أَمْOramلَكُمْ(is) for youlakumكِتَـٰبٌۭa bookkitābunفِيهِwhereinfīhiتَدْرُسُونَyou learntadrusūna٣٧
Or do you have a scripture in which you learn
٦٨:٣٨
إِنَّIndeedinnaلَكُمْfor youlakumفِيهِin itfīhiلَمَاwhatlamāتَخَيَّرُونَyou choosetakhayyarūna٣٨
That indeed for you is whatever you choose?
٦٨:٣٩
أَمْOramلَكُمْfor youlakumأَيْمَـٰنٌoathsaymānunعَلَيْنَاfrom usʿalaynāبَـٰلِغَةٌreachingbālighatunإِلَىٰtoilāيَوْمِ(the) Dayyawmiٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ ۙ(of) the Resurrectionl-qiyāmatiإِنَّindeedinnaلَكُمْfor youlakumلَمَا(is) whatlamāتَحْكُمُونَyou judgetaḥkumūna٣٩
Or do you have oaths [binding] upon Us, extending until the Day of Resurrection, that indeed for you is whatever you judge?
٦٨:٤٠
سَلْهُمْAsk themsalhumأَيُّهُمwhich of themayyuhumبِذَٰلِكَfor thatbidhālikaزَعِيمٌ(is) responsiblezaʿīmun٤٠
Ask them which of them, for that [claim], is responsible.
٦٨:٤١
أَمْOramلَهُمْ(are) for themlahumشُرَكَآءُpartnersshurakāuفَلْيَأْتُوا۟Then let them bringfalyatūبِشُرَكَآئِهِمْtheir partnersbishurakāihimإِنifinكَانُوا۟they arekānūصَـٰدِقِينَtruthfulṣādiqīna٤١
Or do they have partners? Then let them bring their partners, if they should be truthful.
٦٨:٤٢
يَوْمَ(The) Dayyawmaيُكْشَفُwill be uncoveredyuk'shafuعَنfromʿanسَاقٍۢthe shinsāqinوَيُدْعَوْنَand they will be calledwayud'ʿawnaإِلَىtoilāٱلسُّجُودِprostratel-sujūdiفَلَاbut notfalāيَسْتَطِيعُونَthey will be ableyastaṭīʿūna٤٢
The Day the shin will be uncovered and they are invited to prostration but they [i.e., the disbelievers] will not be able,
٦٨:٤٣
خَـٰشِعَةًHumbledkhāshiʿatanأَبْصَـٰرُهُمْtheir eyesabṣāruhumتَرْهَقُهُمْwill cover themtarhaquhumذِلَّةٌۭ ۖhumiliationdhillatunوَقَدْAnd indeedwaqadكَانُوا۟they werekānūيُدْعَوْنَcalledyud'ʿawnaإِلَىtoilāٱلسُّجُودِprostratel-sujūdiوَهُمْwhile theywahumسَـٰلِمُونَ(were) soundsālimūna٤٣
Their eyes humbled, humiliation will cover them. And they used to be invited to prostration while they were sound.
٦٨:٤٤
فَذَرْنِىSo leave Mefadharnīوَمَنand whoeverwamanيُكَذِّبُdeniesyukadhibuبِهَـٰذَاthisbihādhāٱلْحَدِيثِ ۖStatementl-ḥadīthiسَنَسْتَدْرِجُهُمWe will progressively lead themsanastadrijuhumمِّنْfromminحَيْثُwhereḥaythuلَاnotيَعْلَمُونَthey knowyaʿlamūna٤٤
So leave Me, [O Muḥammad], with [the matter of] whoever denies this statement [i.e., the Qur’ān]. We will progressively lead them [to punishment] from where they do not know.
٦٨:٤٥
وَأُمْلِىAnd I will give respitewa-um'līلَهُمْ ۚto themlahumإِنَّIndeedinnaكَيْدِىMy plankaydīمَتِينٌ(is) firmmatīnun٤٥
And I will give them time. Indeed, My plan is firm.
٦٨:٤٦
أَمْOramتَسْـَٔلُهُمْyou ask themtasaluhumأَجْرًۭاa paymentajranفَهُمso theyfahumمِّنfromminمَّغْرَمٍۢ(the) debtmaghraminمُّثْقَلُونَ(are) burdenedmuth'qalūna٤٦
Or do you ask of them a payment, so they are by debt burdened down?
٦٨:٤٧
أَمْOramعِندَهُمُ(is) with themʿindahumuٱلْغَيْبُthe unseenl-ghaybuفَهُمْso theyfahumيَكْتُبُونَwrite ityaktubūna٤٧
Or have they [knowledge of] the unseen, so they write [it] down?
٦٨:٤٨
فَٱصْبِرْSo be patientfa-iṣ'birلِحُكْمِfor (the) decisionliḥuk'miرَبِّكَ(of) your Lordrabbikaوَلَاand (do) notwalāتَكُنbetakunكَصَاحِبِlike (the) companionkaṣāḥibiٱلْحُوتِ(of) the fishl-ḥūtiإِذْwhenidhنَادَىٰhe called outnādāوَهُوَwhile hewahuwaمَكْظُومٌۭ(was) distressedmakẓūmun٤٨
Then be patient for the decision of your Lord, [O Muḥammad], and be not like the companion of the fish [i.e., Jonah] when he called out while he was distressed.
٦٨:٤٩
لَّوْلَآIf notlawlāأَنthatanتَدَٰرَكَهُۥovertook himtadārakahuنِعْمَةٌۭa Favorniʿ'matunمِّنfromminرَّبِّهِۦhis Lordrabbihiلَنُبِذَsurely he would have been thrownlanubidhaبِٱلْعَرَآءِonto (the) naked shorebil-ʿarāiوَهُوَwhile hewahuwaمَذْمُومٌۭ(was) blamedmadhmūmun٤٩
If not that a favor [i.e., mercy] from his Lord overtook him, he would have been thrown onto the naked shore while he was censured.
٦٨:٥٠
فَٱجْتَبَـٰهُBut chose himfa-ij'tabāhuرَبُّهُۥhis Lordrabbuhuفَجَعَلَهُۥand made himfajaʿalahuمِنَofminaٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَthe righteousl-ṣāliḥīna٥٠
And his Lord chose him and made him of the righteous.
٦٨:٥١
وَإِنAnd indeedwa-inيَكَادُwould almostyakāduٱلَّذِينَthose whoalladhīnaكَفَرُوا۟disbelievekafarūلَيُزْلِقُونَكَsurely make you sliplayuz'liqūnakaبِأَبْصَـٰرِهِمْwith their lookbi-abṣārihimلَمَّاwhenlammāسَمِعُوا۟they hearsamiʿūٱلذِّكْرَthe Messagel-dhik'raوَيَقُولُونَand they saywayaqūlūnaإِنَّهُۥIndeed, heinnahuلَمَجْنُونٌۭ(is) surely madlamajnūnun٥١
And indeed, those who disbelieve would almost make you slip with their eyes [i.e., looks] when they hear the message, and they say, "Indeed, he is mad."
٦٨:٥٢
وَمَاAnd notwamāهُوَit (is)huwaإِلَّاbutillāذِكْرٌۭa Reminderdhik'runلِّلْعَـٰلَمِينَto the worldslil'ʿālamīna٥٢
But it is not except a reminder to the worlds.
