القارعة

سورة القارعة (القارعة) هي السورة رقم ١٠١ في القرآن الكريم — وهي سورة مكية تتألف من ١١ آية. السور المكية نزلت قبل هجرة النبي محمد ﷺ إلى المدينة، وتركّز غالبًا على الإيمان وتوحيد الله والآخرة.

بِسْمِIn (the) namebis'miٱللَّهِ(of) Allahl-lahiٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِthe Most Graciousl-raḥmāniٱلرَّحِيمِthe Most Mercifull-raḥīmi
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
١٠١:١
ٱلْقَارِعَةُThe Striking Calamityal-qāriʿatu١
The Striking Calamity -
١٠١:٢
مَاWhatmāٱلْقَارِعَةُ(is) the Striking Calamityl-qāriʿatu٢
What is the Striking Calamity?
١٠١:٣
وَمَآAnd whatwamāأَدْرَىٰكَwill make you knowadrākaمَاwhatmāٱلْقَارِعَةُ(is) the Striking Calamityl-qāriʿatu٣
And what can make you know what is the Striking Calamity?
١٠١:٤
يَوْمَ(The) Dayyawmaيَكُونُwill beyakūnuٱلنَّاسُthe mankindl-nāsuكَٱلْفَرَاشِlike mothskal-farāshiٱلْمَبْثُوثِscatteredl-mabthūthi٤
It is the Day when people will be like moths, dispersed,
١٠١:٥
وَتَكُونُAnd will bewatakūnuٱلْجِبَالُthe mountainsl-jibāluكَٱلْعِهْنِlike woolkal-ʿih'niٱلْمَنفُوشِfluffed upl-manfūshi٥
And the mountains will be like wool, fluffed up.
١٠١:٦
فَأَمَّاThen as forfa-ammāمَن(him) whosemanثَقُلَتْ(are) heavythaqulatمَوَٰزِينُهُۥhis scalesmawāzīnuhu٦
Then as for one whose scales are heavy [with good deeds],
١٠١:٧
فَهُوَThen hefahuwaفِى(will be) infīعِيشَةٍۢa lifeʿīshatinرَّاضِيَةٍۢpleasantrāḍiyatin٧
He will be in a pleasant life.
١٠١:٨
وَأَمَّاBut as forwa-ammāمَنْ(him) whosemanخَفَّتْ(are) lightkhaffatمَوَٰزِينُهُۥhis scalesmawāzīnuhu٨
But as for one whose scales are light,
١٠١:٩
فَأُمُّهُۥHis abodefa-ummuhuهَاوِيَةٌۭ(will be the) Pithāwiyatun٩
His refuge will be an abyss.
١٠١:١٠
وَمَآAnd whatwamāأَدْرَىٰكَwill make you knowadrākaمَاwhatmāهِيَهْit ishiyah١٠
And what can make you know what that is?
١٠١:١١
نَارٌA Firenārunحَامِيَةٌۢintensely hotḥāmiyatun١١
It is a Fire, intensely hot.
