Meccan 8 Ayahs Juz 1
الشرح
Bismillah
بِسْمِ In (the) name bis'mi
In (the) name ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah l-lahi
(of) Allah ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ the Most Gracious l-raḥmāni
the Most Gracious ٱلرَّحِيمِ the Most Merciful l-raḥīmi
the Most Merciful
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
94:1
أَلَمْ Have not alam
Have not نَشْرَحْ We expanded nashraḥ
We expanded لَكَ for you laka
for you صَدْرَكَ your breast ṣadraka
your breast ١ (1)
(1)
Did We not expand for you, [O Muḥammad], your breast?
94:2
وَوَضَعْنَا And We removed wawaḍaʿnā
And We removed عَنكَ from you ʿanka
from you وِزْرَكَ your burden wiz'raka
your burden ٢ (2)
(2)
And We removed from you your burden
94:3
ٱلَّذِىٓ Which alladhī
Which أَنقَضَ weighed upon anqaḍa
weighed upon ظَهْرَكَ your back ẓahraka
your back ٣ (3)
(3)
Which had weighed upon your back
94:4
وَرَفَعْنَا And We raised high warafaʿnā
And We raised high لَكَ for you laka
for you ذِكْرَكَ your reputation dhik'raka
your reputation ٤ (4)
(4)
And raised high for you your repute.
94:5
فَإِنَّ So indeed fa-inna
So indeed مَعَ with maʿa
with ٱلْعُسْرِ the hardship l-ʿus'ri
the hardship يُسْرًا (is) ease yus'ran
(is) ease ٥ (5)
(5)
For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease [i.e., relief].
94:6
إِنَّ Indeed inna
Indeed مَعَ with maʿa
with ٱلْعُسْرِ the hardship l-ʿus'ri
the hardship يُسْرًۭا (is) ease yus'ran
(is) ease ٦ (6)
(6)
Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease.
94:7
فَإِذَا So when fa-idhā
So when فَرَغْتَ you have finished faraghta
you have finished فَٱنصَبْ then labor hard fa-inṣab
then labor hard ٧ (7)
(7)
So when you have finished [your duties], then stand up [for worship].
94:8
وَإِلَىٰ And to wa-ilā
And to رَبِّكَ your Lord rabbika
your Lord فَٱرْغَب turn your attention fa-ir'ghab
turn your attention ٨ (8)
(8)
And to your Lord direct [your] longing.
