La sourate Al-Anfal (الأنفال) est le 8e chapitre du Saint Coran — une sourate Médinoise de 75 versets. Les sourates médinoises ont été révélées après l'émigration à Médine et traitent plus souvent du culte, de la loi et de la vie de la communauté musulmane.

بِسْمِIn (the) namebis'miٱللَّهِ(of) Allahl-lahiٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِthe Most Graciousl-raḥmāniٱلرَّحِيمِthe Most Mercifull-raḥīmi
Au nom d'Allah, le Tout Miséricordieux, le Très Miséricordieux
8:1
يَسْـَٔلُونَكَThey ask youyasalūnakaعَنِaboutʿaniٱلْأَنفَالِ ۖthe spoils of warl-anfāliقُلِSayquliٱلْأَنفَالُThe spoils of warl-anfāluلِلَّهِ(are) for Allahlillahiوَٱلرَّسُولِ ۖand the Messengerwal-rasūliفَٱتَّقُوا۟So fearfa-ittaqūٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaوَأَصْلِحُوا۟and set rightwa-aṣliḥūذَاتَthatdhātaبَيْنِكُمْ ۖ(which is) between youbaynikumوَأَطِيعُوا۟and obeywa-aṭīʿūٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaوَرَسُولَهُۥٓand His Messengerwarasūlahuإِنifinكُنتُمyou arekuntumمُّؤْمِنِينَbelieversmu'minīna١
Ils t’interrogent au sujet du butin. Dis : “Le butin est à Allah et à Son Messager.” Craignez Allah ! Maintenez la concorde entre vous et obéissez à Allah et à Son Messager, si vous êtes croyants !
8:2
إِنَّمَاOnlyinnamāٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَthe believersl-mu'minūnaٱلَّذِينَ(are) those whoalladhīnaإِذَاwhenidhāذُكِرَis mentioneddhukiraٱللَّهُAllahl-lahuوَجِلَتْfeel fearwajilatقُلُوبُهُمْtheir heartsqulūbuhumوَإِذَاand whenwa-idhāتُلِيَتْare recitedtuliyatعَلَيْهِمْto themʿalayhimءَايَـٰتُهُۥHis Versesāyātuhuزَادَتْهُمْthey increase themzādathumإِيمَـٰنًۭا(in) faithīmānanوَعَلَىٰand uponwaʿalāرَبِّهِمْtheir Lordrabbihimيَتَوَكَّلُونَthey put their trustyatawakkalūna٢
Les vrais croyants sont ceux dont les cœurs frémissent quand on mentionne Allah. Et quand Ses versets leur sont récités, cela fait augmenter leur foi. Et ils placent leur confiance en leur Seigneur.
8:3
ٱلَّذِينَThose whoalladhīnaيُقِيمُونَestablishyuqīmūnaٱلصَّلَوٰةَthe prayerl-ṣalataوَمِمَّاand out of whatwamimmāرَزَقْنَـٰهُمْWe have provided themrazaqnāhumيُنفِقُونَthey spendyunfiqūna٣
Ceux qui accomplissent la prière (As-Salât) et qui dépensent [dans le sentir d’Allah] de ce que Nous leur avons attribué.
8:4
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَThose ulāikaهُمُthey arehumuٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَthe believersl-mu'minūnaحَقًّۭا ۚ(in) truthḥaqqanلَّهُمْFor themlahumدَرَجَـٰتٌ(are) ranksdarajātunعِندَwithʿindaرَبِّهِمْtheir Lordrabbihimوَمَغْفِرَةٌۭand forgivenesswamaghfiratunوَرِزْقٌۭand a provisionwariz'qunكَرِيمٌۭnoblekarīmun٤
Ceux-là sont, en toute vérité les croyants : à eux des degrés (élevés) auprès de leur Seigneur, ainsi qu’un pardon et une dotation généreuse.
8:5
كَمَآAskamāأَخْرَجَكَbrought you outakhrajakaرَبُّكَyour Lordrabbukaمِنۢfromminبَيْتِكَyour homebaytikaبِٱلْحَقِّin truthbil-ḥaqiوَإِنَّwhile indeedwa-innaفَرِيقًۭاa partyfarīqanمِّنَamongminaٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَthe believersl-mu'minīnaلَكَـٰرِهُونَcertainly dislikedlakārihūna٥
De même, c’est au nom de la vérité que ton Seigneur t’a fait sortir de ta demeure, malgré la répulsion d’une partie des croyants .
8:6
يُجَـٰدِلُونَكَThey dispute with youyujādilūnakaفِىconcerningfīٱلْحَقِّthe truthl-ḥaqiبَعْدَ مَاafter whatbaʿdamāتَبَيَّنَwas made cleartabayyanaكَأَنَّمَاas ifka-annamāيُسَاقُونَthey were drivenyusāqūnaإِلَىtoilāٱلْمَوْتِ[the] deathl-mawtiوَهُمْwhile theywahumيَنظُرُونَ(were) lookingyanẓurūna٦
Ils discutent avec toi au sujet de la vérité après qu’elle fut clairement apparue; comme si on les poussait vers la mort et qu’ils (la) voyaient .
8:7
وَإِذْAnd whenwa-idhيَعِدُكُمُpromised youyaʿidukumuٱللَّهُAllahl-lahuإِحْدَىoneiḥ'dāٱلطَّآئِفَتَيْنِ(of) the two groups l-ṭāifatayniأَنَّهَاthat it (would be)annahāلَكُمْfor you lakumوَتَوَدُّونَand you wishedwatawaddūnaأَنَّthatannaغَيْرَ(one) other thanghayraذَاتِthatdhātiٱلشَّوْكَةِ(of) the armedl-shawkatiتَكُونُwould betakūnuلَكُمْfor youlakumوَيُرِيدُBut intendedwayurīduٱللَّهُAllahl-lahuأَنtoanيُحِقَّjustifyyuḥiqqaٱلْحَقَّthe truthl-ḥaqaبِكَلِمَـٰتِهِۦby His wordsbikalimātihiوَيَقْطَعَand cut offwayaqṭaʿaدَابِرَ(the) rootsdābiraٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ(of) the disbelieversl-kāfirīna٧
Et (rappelez-vous), quand Allah vous promettait qu’une des deux bandes serait à vous. "Vous désiriez vous emparer de celle qui était sans armes, alors qu’Allah voulait par Ses paroles faire triompher la vérité et anéantir les mécréants jusqu’au dernier1
8:8
لِيُحِقَّThat He might justifyliyuḥiqqaٱلْحَقَّthe truthl-ḥaqaوَيُبْطِلَand prove falsewayub'ṭilaٱلْبَـٰطِلَthe falsehoodl-bāṭilaوَلَوْeven ifwalawكَرِهَdisliked (it)karihaٱلْمُجْرِمُونَthe criminalsl-muj'rimūna٨
afin qu’Il fasse triompher la vérité et anéantir le faux, en dépit de la répulsion qu’en avaient les criminels.
8:9
إِذْWhenidhتَسْتَغِيثُونَyou were seeking helptastaghīthūnaرَبَّكُمْ(of) your Lordrabbakumفَٱسْتَجَابَand He answeredfa-is'tajābaلَكُمْ[to] youlakumأَنِّىIndeed, I amannīمُمِدُّكُمgoing to reinforce youmumiddukumبِأَلْفٍۢwith a thousandbi-alfinمِّنَofminaٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِthe Angelsl-malāikatiمُرْدِفِينَone after anothermur'difīna٩
Et (rappelez-vous) le moment où vous imploriez le secours de votre Seigneur et qu’Il vous exauça aussitôt : “Je vais vous renforcer d’un millier d’Anges déferlant les uns à la suite des autres. ”
8:10
وَمَاAnd notwamāجَعَلَهُ(it was) madejaʿalahuٱللَّهُ(by) Allahl-lahuإِلَّاbutillāبُشْرَىٰgood tidingsbush'rāوَلِتَطْمَئِنَّand so that might be at restwalitaṭma-innaبِهِۦwith itbihiقُلُوبُكُمْ ۚyour heartsqulūbukumوَمَاAnd (there is) nowamāٱلنَّصْرُ[the] victoryl-naṣruإِلَّاexceptillāمِنْfromminعِندِ[of]ʿindiٱللَّهِ ۚAllahl-lahiإِنَّIndeedinnaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaعَزِيزٌ(is) All-MightyʿazīzunحَكِيمٌAll-Wiseḥakīmun١٠
Allah ne fit cela que pour (vous) apporter une bonne nouvelle et pour qu’avec cela vos cœurs se tranquillisent. Et il n’y a de victoire que de la part d’Allah. Allah est Puissant est Sage.
8:11
إِذْWhenidhيُغَشِّيكُمُHe covered youyughashīkumuٱلنُّعَاسَwith [the] slumberl-nuʿāsaأَمَنَةًۭa securityamanatanمِّنْهُfrom Himmin'huوَيُنَزِّلُand sent downwayunazziluعَلَيْكُمupon youʿalaykumمِّنَfromminaٱلسَّمَآءِthe skyl-samāiمَآءًۭwatermāanلِّيُطَهِّرَكُمso that He may purify youliyuṭahhirakumبِهِۦwith itbihiوَيُذْهِبَand take awaywayudh'hibaعَنكُمْfrom youʿankumرِجْزَevil (suggestions)rij'zaٱلشَّيْطَـٰنِ(of) the Shaitaanl-shayṭāniوَلِيَرْبِطَAnd to strengthenwaliyarbiṭaعَلَىٰ[on]ʿalāقُلُوبِكُمْyour heartsqulūbikumوَيُثَبِّتَand make firmwayuthabbitaبِهِwith itbihiٱلْأَقْدَامَyour feetl-aqdāma١١
Et quand Il vous enveloppa d’un sommeil comme d’une sécurité de Sa part, et du ciel Il fit descendre de l’eau sur vous afin de vous en purifier, d’ôter de vous la souillure du Diable (Satan), de renforcer les cœurs et d’en raffermir les pas [vos pas]!
8:12
إِذْWhenidhيُوحِىinspiredyūḥīرَبُّكَyour Lordrabbukaإِلَىtoilāٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِthe Angelsl-malāikatiأَنِّىI amannīمَعَكُمْwith youmaʿakumفَثَبِّتُوا۟so strengthenfathabbitūٱلَّذِينَthose whoalladhīnaءَامَنُوا۟ ۚbelievedāmanūسَأُلْقِىI will castsa-ul'qīفِىinfīقُلُوبِ(the) heartsqulūbiٱلَّذِينَ(of) those whoalladhīnaكَفَرُوا۟disbelieved kafarūٱلرُّعْبَthe terrorl-ruʿ'baفَٱضْرِبُوا۟so strikefa-iḍ'ribūفَوْقَabovefawqaٱلْأَعْنَاقِthe necksl-aʿnāqiوَٱضْرِبُوا۟and strikewa-iḍ'ribūمِنْهُمْfrom themmin'humكُلَّeverykullaبَنَانٍۢfingertip[s]banānin١٢
Et ton Seigneur révéla aux Anges : "Je suis avec vous ! Affermissez donc les croyants ! Je vais jeter l’effroi dans les cœurs des mécréants. Frappez donc au-dessus des cous et frappez-les sur tous les bouts des doigts !
8:13
ذَٰلِكَThatdhālikaبِأَنَّهُمْ(is) because theybi-annahumشَآقُّوا۟opposedshāqqūٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaوَرَسُولَهُۥ ۚand His MessengerwarasūlahuوَمَنAnd whoeverwamanيُشَاقِقِopposesyushāqiqiٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaوَرَسُولَهُۥand His Messengerwarasūlahuفَإِنَّthen indeedfa-innaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaشَدِيدُ(is) severeshadīduٱلْعِقَابِin [the] penaltyl-ʿiqābi١٣
Ce, parce qu’ils ont désobéi à Allah et à Son Messager." Et quiconque désobéit à Allah et à Son Messager…alors Allah est certainement dur en punition !
8:14
ذَٰلِكُمْThat dhālikumفَذُوقُوهُSo taste itfadhūqūhuوَأَنَّAnd thatwa-annaلِلْكَـٰفِرِينَfor the disbelieverslil'kāfirīnaعَذَابَ(is the) punishmentʿadhābaٱلنَّارِ(of) the Firel-nāri١٤
Voilà (votre sort) ; goûtez-le donc ! Et aux mécréants le châtiment du Feu (sera réservé).
8:15
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاO youyāayyuhāٱلَّذِينَwhoalladhīnaءَامَنُوٓا۟believeāmanūإِذَاWhenidhāلَقِيتُمُyou meetlaqītumuٱلَّذِينَthose whoalladhīnaكَفَرُوا۟disbelievekafarūزَحْفًۭاadvancingzaḥfanفَلَاthen (do) notfalāتُوَلُّوهُمُturn to themtuwallūhumuٱلْأَدْبَارَthe backsl-adbāra١٥
Ô vous qui croyez ! Quand vous rencontrez (l’armée) des mécréants en marche , ne leur tournez point le dos !
8:16
وَمَنAnd whoeverwamanيُوَلِّهِمْturns to themyuwallihimيَوْمَئِذٍۢthat dayyawma-idhinدُبُرَهُۥٓhis backduburahuإِلَّاexceptillāمُتَحَرِّفًۭا(as) a strategymutaḥarrifanلِّقِتَالٍof warliqitālinأَوْorawمُتَحَيِّزًا(to) joinmutaḥayyizanإِلَىٰtoilāفِئَةٍۢa groupfi-atinفَقَدْcertainlyfaqadبَآءَ(he has) incurredbāaبِغَضَبٍۢwrathbighaḍabinمِّنَofminaٱللَّهِAllahl-lahiوَمَأْوَىٰهُand his abodewamawāhuجَهَنَّمُ ۖ(is) Helljahannamuوَبِئْسَa wretchedwabi'saٱلْمَصِيرُdestinationl-maṣīru١٦
Quiconque, ce jour-là, leur tourne le dos, - à moins que ce soit par tactique de combat, ou pour rallier un autre groupe, - celui-là encourt la colère d’Allah et son refuge sera l’Enfer. Et quelle mauvaise destination !
8:17
فَلَمْAnd notfalamتَقْتُلُوهُمْyou kill themtaqtulūhumوَلَـٰكِنَّbutwalākinnaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaقَتَلَهُمْ ۚkilled themqatalahumوَمَاAnd notwamāرَمَيْتَyou threwramaytaإِذْwhenidhرَمَيْتَyou threwramaytaوَلَـٰكِنَّbutwalākinnaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaرَمَىٰ ۚthrewramāوَلِيُبْلِىَand that He may testwaliyub'liyaٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَthe believersl-mu'minīnaمِنْهُfrom Himmin'huبَلَآءً(with) a trialbalāanحَسَنًا ۚgoodḥasananإِنَّIndeedinnaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaسَمِيعٌ(is) All-HearingsamīʿunعَلِيمٌۭAll-Knowingʿalīmun١٧
Ce n’est pas vous qui les avez tués, mais c’est Allah qui les a tués. Et lorsque tu lançais (une poignée de terre) , ce n’est pas toi qui lançais: mais c’est Allah qui lançait, et ce pour éprouver les croyants d’une belle épreuve de Sa part ! Allah est Audient et Omniscient.
8:18
ذَٰلِكُمْThat (is the case)dhālikumوَأَنَّand thatwa-annaٱللَّهَAllah (is)l-lahaمُوهِنُone who makes weakmūhinuكَيْدِ(the) plankaydiٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ(of) the disbelieversl-kāfirīna١٨
Voilà! Et Allah réduit à néant la ruse des mécréants.
8:19
إِنIfinتَسْتَفْتِحُوا۟you ask for victorytastaftiḥūفَقَدْthen certainlyfaqadجَآءَكُمُhas come to youjāakumuٱلْفَتْحُ ۖthe victoryl-fatḥuوَإِنAnd ifwa-inتَنتَهُوا۟you desisttantahūفَهُوَthen it (is)fahuwaخَيْرٌۭgoodkhayrunلَّكُمْ ۖfor youlakumوَإِنbut ifwa-inتَعُودُوا۟you returntaʿūdūنَعُدْWe will return (too)naʿudوَلَنAnd neverwalanتُغْنِىَwill availtugh'niyaعَنكُمْyouʿankumفِئَتُكُمْyour forcesfi-atukumشَيْـًۭٔاanythingshayanوَلَوْeven ifwalawكَثُرَتْ(they are) numerouskathuratوَأَنَّAnd thatwa-annaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaمَعَ(is) withmaʿaٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَthe believersl-mu'minīna١٩
Si vous avez imploré l’arbitrage d’Allah vous connaissez maintenant la sentence [d’Allah] Et si vous cessez [la mécréance et l’hostilité contre le Prophète], c’est mieux pour vous. Mais si vous revenez, Nous reviendrons, et votre masse, même nombreuse, ne vous sera d’aucune utilité. Car Allah est vraiment avec les croyants.
8:20
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاO youyāayyuhāٱلَّذِينَwhoalladhīnaءَامَنُوٓا۟believeāmanūأَطِيعُوا۟ObeyaṭīʿūٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaوَرَسُولَهُۥand His MessengerwarasūlahuوَلَاAnd (do) notwalāتَوَلَّوْا۟turn awaytawallawعَنْهُfrom himʿanhuوَأَنتُمْwhile youwa-antumتَسْمَعُونَheartasmaʿūna٢٠
Ô vous qui croyez! Obéissez à Allah et à Son Messager et ne vous détournez pas de lui quand vous l’entendez (parler) !
8:21
وَلَاAnd (do) notwalāتَكُونُوا۟betakūnūكَٱلَّذِينَlike those whoka-alladhīnaقَالُوا۟sayqālūسَمِعْنَاWe heardsamiʿ'nāوَهُمْwhile theywahumلَا(do) notlāيَسْمَعُونَhearyasmaʿūna٢١
Et ne soyez pas comme ceux qui disent: "Nous avons entendu ", alors qu’ils n’entendent pas.
8:22
۞ إِنَّIndeedinnaشَرَّworstsharraٱلدَّوَآبِّ(of) the living creaturesl-dawābiعِندَnearʿindaٱللَّهِAllahl-lahiٱلصُّمُّ(are) the deafl-ṣumuٱلْبُكْمُthe dumb l-buk'muٱلَّذِينَthose whoalladhīnaلَا(do) notlāيَعْقِلُونَuse (their) intellectyaʿqilūna٢٢
Les pires des bêtes auprès d’Allah, sont, [en vérité], les sourds-muets, ceux qui ne raisonnent pas .
8:23
وَلَوْAnd ifwalawعَلِمَ(had) knownʿalimaٱللَّهُAllahl-lahuفِيهِمْin themfīhimخَيْرًۭاany goodkhayranلَّأَسْمَعَهُمْ ۖsurely, He (would) have made them hearla-asmaʿahumوَلَوْAnd ifwalawأَسْمَعَهُمْHe had made them hearasmaʿahumلَتَوَلَّوا۟surely they would have turned awaylatawallawوَّهُمwhile theywahumمُّعْرِضُونَ(were) aversemuʿ'riḍūna٢٣
Et si Allah avait reconnu en eux quelque bien, Il aurait fait qu’ils entendent. Mais, même s’Il les faisait entendre, ils tourneraient [sûrement] le dos en s’éloignant.
8:24
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاO youyāayyuhāٱلَّذِينَwhoalladhīnaءَامَنُوا۟believeāmanūٱسْتَجِيبُوا۟Respondis'tajībūلِلَّهِto Allahlillahiوَلِلرَّسُولِand His Messengerwalilrrasūliإِذَاwhenidhāدَعَاكُمْhe calls youdaʿākumلِمَاto whatlimāيُحْيِيكُمْ ۖgives you lifeyuḥ'yīkumوَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟And knowwa-iʿ'lamūأَنَّthatannaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaيَحُولُcomesyaḥūluبَيْنَ(in) betweenbaynaٱلْمَرْءِa manl-mariوَقَلْبِهِۦand his heartwaqalbihiوَأَنَّهُۥٓand thatwa-annahuإِلَيْهِto Himilayhiتُحْشَرُونَyou will be gatheredtuḥ'sharūna٢٤
Ô vous qui croyez! Répondez à Allah et au Messager lorsqu’il vous appelle à ce qui vous donne la (vraie) vie, et sachez qu’Allah s’interpose entre l’homme et son cœur, et que c’est vers Lui que vous serez rassemblés.
8:25
وَٱتَّقُوا۟And fearwa-ittaqūفِتْنَةًۭa trialfit'natanلَّاnotlāتُصِيبَنَّwhich will afflicttuṣībannaٱلَّذِينَthose whoalladhīnaظَلَمُوا۟do wrongẓalamūمِنكُمْamong youminkumخَآصَّةًۭ ۖexclusivelykhāṣṣatanوَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟And knowwa-iʿ'lamūأَنَّthatannaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaشَدِيدُ(is) severeshadīduٱلْعِقَابِ(in) the penaltyl-ʿiqābi٢٥
Et craignez une calamité qui n’affligera pas exclusivement les injustes d’entre vous. Et sachez qu’Allah est dur en punition.
8:26
وَٱذْكُرُوٓا۟And rememberwa-udh'kurūإِذْwhenidhأَنتُمْyouantumقَلِيلٌۭ(were) fewqalīlunمُّسْتَضْعَفُونَ(and) deemed weakmus'taḍʿafūnaفِىinfīٱلْأَرْضِthe earthl-arḍiتَخَافُونَfearingtakhāfūnaأَنthatanيَتَخَطَّفَكُمُmight do away with youyatakhaṭṭafakumuٱلنَّاسُthe menl-nāsuفَـَٔاوَىٰكُمْthen He sheltered youfaāwākumوَأَيَّدَكُمand strengthened youwa-ayyadakumبِنَصْرِهِۦwith His helpbinaṣrihiوَرَزَقَكُمand provided youwarazaqakumمِّنَofminaٱلطَّيِّبَـٰتِthe good thingsl-ṭayibātiلَعَلَّكُمْso that you maylaʿallakumتَشْكُرُونَ(be) thankfultashkurūna٢٦
Et rappelez-vous quand vous étiez peu nombreux, opprimés sur terre, craignant de vous faire enlever par des gens. Il vous donna asile, vous renforça de Son secours et vous attribua de bonnes choses afin que vous soyez reconnaissants.
8:27
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاO youyāayyuhāٱلَّذِينَwhoalladhīnaءَامَنُوا۟believeāmanūلَا(Do) notlāتَخُونُوا۟betraytakhūnūٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaوَٱلرَّسُولَand the Messengerwal-rasūlaوَتَخُونُوٓا۟or betraywatakhūnūأَمَـٰنَـٰتِكُمْyour trustsamānātikumوَأَنتُمْwhile youwa-antumتَعْلَمُونَknowtaʿlamūna٢٧
Ô vous qui croyez! Ne trahissez pas Allah et le Messager. Et ne trahissez pas sciemment la confiance qu’on a placée en vous ?
8:28
وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟And knowwa-iʿ'lamūأَنَّمَآthatannamāأَمْوَٰلُكُمْyour wealthamwālukumوَأَوْلَـٰدُكُمْand your childrenwa-awlādukumفِتْنَةٌۭ(are) a trialfit'natunوَأَنَّAnd thatwa-annaٱللَّهَAllah l-lahaعِندَهُۥٓwith Himʿindahuأَجْرٌ(is) a rewardajrunعَظِيمٌۭgreatʿaẓīmun٢٨
Et sachez que vos biens et vos enfants ne sont qu’une épreuve et qu’auprès d’Allah il y a une énorme récompense.
8:29
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاO youyāayyuhāٱلَّذِينَwhoalladhīnaءَامَنُوٓا۟believeāmanūإِنIfinتَتَّقُوا۟you feartattaqūٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaيَجْعَلHe will grantyajʿalلَّكُمْyoulakumفُرْقَانًۭاa criterionfur'qānanوَيُكَفِّرْand will removewayukaffirعَنكُمْfrom youʿankumسَيِّـَٔاتِكُمْyour evil deedssayyiātikumوَيَغْفِرْand forgivewayaghfirلَكُمْ ۗyoulakumوَٱللَّهُAnd Allahwal-lahuذُو(is) the Possessordhūٱلْفَضْلِ(of) Bountyl-faḍliٱلْعَظِيمِthe Greatl-ʿaẓīmi٢٩
Ô vous qui croyez! Si vous craignez Allah, Il vous accordera la faculté de discerner (entre le bien et le mal), vous effacera vos méfaits et [Il] vous pardonnera. Et Allah est le Détenteur de l’énorme grâce.
8:30
وَإِذْAnd whenwa-idhيَمْكُرُplottedyamkuruبِكَagainst youbikaٱلَّذِينَthose whoalladhīnaكَفَرُوا۟disbelievedkafarūلِيُثْبِتُوكَthat they restrain youliyuth'bitūkaأَوْorawيَقْتُلُوكَkill youyaqtulūkaأَوْorawيُخْرِجُوكَ ۚdrive you outyukh'rijūkaوَيَمْكُرُونَAnd they were planningwayamkurūnaوَيَمْكُرُand (also) was planningwayamkuruٱللَّهُ ۖAllahl-lahuوَٱللَّهُAnd Allahwal-lahuخَيْرُis (the) Bestkhayruٱلْمَـٰكِرِينَ(of) the Plannersl-mākirīna٣٠
Et (rappelle-toi) le moment où les mécréants complotaient contre toi pour t’emprisonner ou t’assassiner ou te bannir. Ils complotèrent, mais Allah fit échouer leur complot, et Allah est le meilleur en stratagèmes.
8:31
وَإِذَاAnd whenwa-idhāتُتْلَىٰare recitedtut'lāعَلَيْهِمْto themʿalayhimءَايَـٰتُنَاOur Versesāyātunāقَالُوا۟they sayqālūقَدْVerilyqadسَمِعْنَاwe have heardsamiʿ'nāلَوْiflawنَشَآءُwe wishnashāuلَقُلْنَاsurely, we could saylaqul'nāمِثْلَlikemith'laهَـٰذَآ ۙthishādhāإِنْNotinهَـٰذَآis thishādhāإِلَّآbutillāأَسَـٰطِيرُtalesasāṭīruٱلْأَوَّلِينَ(of) the former (people)l-awalīna٣١
Et lorsque Nos versets leur sont récités, ils disent: "Nous avons écouté, certes! Si nous voulions, nous dirions pareil à cela, ce ne sont que des légendes d’anciens."
8:32
وَإِذْAnd whenwa-idhقَالُوا۟they saidqālūٱللَّهُمَّO Allahl-lahumaإِنIfinكَانَwaskānaهَـٰذَاthishādhāهُوَ[it]huwaٱلْحَقَّthe truthl-ḥaqaمِنْ[of]minعِندِكَfrom Youʿindikaفَأَمْطِرْthen (send) rainfa-amṭirعَلَيْنَاupon usʿalaynāحِجَارَةًۭ(of) stonesḥijāratanمِّنَfromminaٱلسَّمَآءِthe skyl-samāiأَوِorawiٱئْتِنَاbring (upon) usi'tināبِعَذَابٍa punishmentbiʿadhābinأَلِيمٍۢpainfulalīmin٣٢
Et quand ils dirent : "Ô Allah ! Si cela est la vérité de Ta part, alors, fais pleuvoir du ciel des pierres sur nous, ou fais venir sur nous un châtiment douloureux !"
8:33
وَمَاBut notwamāكَانَiskānaٱللَّهُ(for) Allahl-lahuلِيُعَذِّبَهُمْthat He punishes themliyuʿadhibahumوَأَنتَwhile youwa-antaفِيهِمْ ۚ(are) among themfīhimوَمَاand notwamāكَانَiskānaٱللَّهُAllahl-lahuمُعَذِّبَهُمْthe One Who punishes themmuʿadhibahumوَهُمْwhile theywahumيَسْتَغْفِرُونَseek forgivenessyastaghfirūna٣٣
Allah n’est point tel qu’Il les châtie, alors que tu es au milieu d’eux. Et Allah n’est point tel qu’Il les châtie alors qu’ils demandent pardon.
8:34
وَمَاBut whatwamāلَهُمْ(is) for themlahumأَلَّاthat notallāيُعَذِّبَهُمُ(should) punish themyuʿadhibahumuٱللَّهُAllahl-lahuوَهُمْwhile theywahumيَصُدُّونَhinder (people)yaṣuddūnaعَنِfromʿaniٱلْمَسْجِدِAl-Masjidl-masjidiٱلْحَرَامِAl-Haraaml-ḥarāmiوَمَاwhile notwamāكَانُوٓا۟they arekānūأَوْلِيَآءَهُۥٓ ۚits guardiansawliyāahuإِنْNot (can be)inأَوْلِيَآؤُهُۥٓits guardiansawliyāuhuإِلَّاexceptillāٱلْمُتَّقُونَthe ones who fear Allahl-mutaqūnaوَلَـٰكِنَّbutwalākinnaأَكْثَرَهُمْmost of themaktharahumلَا(do) notlāيَعْلَمُونَknowyaʿlamūna٣٤
Qu’ont-ils donc pour qu’Allah ne les châtie pas, alors qu’ils repoussent (les croyants) de la Mosquée Sacrée, quoiqu’ils n’en soient pas les gardiens, car ses gardiens ne sont que les pieux. Mais la plupart d’entre eux ne le savent pas.
8:35
وَمَاAnd notwamāكَانَwaskānaصَلَاتُهُمْtheir prayerṣalātuhumعِندَatʿindaٱلْبَيْتِthe Housel-baytiإِلَّاexceptillāمُكَآءًۭwhistlingmukāanوَتَصْدِيَةًۭ ۚand clappingwataṣdiyatanفَذُوقُوا۟So tastefadhūqūٱلْعَذَابَthe punishmentl-ʿadhābaبِمَاbecausebimāكُنتُمْyou used tokuntumتَكْفُرُونَdisbelievetakfurūna٣٥
Et leur prière, auprès de la Maison, n’est que sifflement et battements de mains : "Goûtez donc au châtiment, à cause de votre mécréance !"
8:36
إِنَّIndeedinnaٱلَّذِينَthose whoalladhīnaكَفَرُوا۟disbelievekafarūيُنفِقُونَthey spendyunfiqūnaأَمْوَٰلَهُمْtheir wealthamwālahumلِيَصُدُّوا۟to hinder (people)liyaṣuddūعَنfromʿanسَبِيلِ(the) waysabīliٱللَّهِ ۚ(of) Allahl-lahiفَسَيُنفِقُونَهَاSo they will spend itfasayunfiqūnahāثُمَّthenthummaتَكُونُit will betakūnuعَلَيْهِمْfor themʿalayhimحَسْرَةًۭa regretḥasratanثُمَّthenthummaيُغْلَبُونَ ۗthey will be overcomeyugh'labūnaوَٱلَّذِينَAnd those whowa-alladhīnaكَفَرُوٓا۟disbelievekafarūإِلَىٰtoilāجَهَنَّمَHelljahannamaيُحْشَرُونَthey will be gatheredyuḥ'sharūna٣٦
Ceux qui ne croient pas dépensent leurs biens pour obstruer (les gens) du sentier d’Allah. Or, après les avoir dépensés, ils seront pour eux un sujet de regret. Puis, ils seront vaincus, et tous ceux qui ne croient pas seront rassemblés vers l’Enfer,
8:37
لِيَمِيزَThat may distinguishliyamīzaٱللَّهُAllahl-lahuٱلْخَبِيثَthe wickedl-khabīthaمِنَfromminaٱلطَّيِّبِthe goodl-ṭayibiوَيَجْعَلَand placewayajʿalaٱلْخَبِيثَthe wickedl-khabīthaبَعْضَهُۥsome of thembaʿḍahuعَلَىٰonʿalāبَعْضٍۢothersbaʿḍinفَيَرْكُمَهُۥand heap themfayarkumahuجَمِيعًۭاall togetherjamīʿanفَيَجْعَلَهُۥand put themfayajʿalahuفِىinfīجَهَنَّمَ ۚHelljahannamaأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَThose ulāikaهُمُtheyhumuٱلْخَـٰسِرُونَ(are) the losersl-khāsirūna٣٧
afin qu’Allah distingue le mauvais du bon, et qu’Il place les mauvais les uns sur les autres, pour en faire un amoncellement qu’Il jettera dans l’Enfer. Ceux-là sont les perdants.
8:38
قُلSayqulلِّلَّذِينَto those wholilladhīnaكَفَرُوٓا۟disbelievekafarūإِنifinيَنتَهُوا۟they ceaseyantahūيُغْفَرْwill be forgivenyugh'farلَهُمfor themlahumمَّاwhatmāقَدْ[verily]qadسَلَفَ(is) pastsalafaوَإِنBut ifwa-inيَعُودُوا۟they returnyaʿūdūفَقَدْthen verilyfaqadمَضَتْprecededmaḍatسُنَّتُ(the) practicesunnatuٱلْأَوَّلِينَ(of) the former (people)l-awalīna٣٨
Dis à ceux qui ne croient pas que, s’ils cessent, on leur pardonnera ce qui s’est passé. Et s’ils récidivent, (ils seront châtiés) ; à l’exemple de (leurs) devanciers.
8:39
وَقَـٰتِلُوهُمْAnd fight themwaqātilūhumحَتَّىٰuntilḥattāلَاnotlāتَكُونَthere istakūnaفِتْنَةٌۭoppressionfit'natunوَيَكُونَand iswayakūnaٱلدِّينُthe religionl-dīnuكُلُّهُۥall of itkulluhuلِلَّهِ ۚfor AllahlillahiفَإِنِBut iffa-iniٱنتَهَوْا۟they ceaseintahawفَإِنَّthen indeedfa-innaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaبِمَاof whatbimāيَعْمَلُونَthey doyaʿmalūnaبَصِيرٌۭ(is) All-Seerbaṣīrun٣٩
Et combattez-les jusqu’à ce qu’il ne subsiste plus d’association, et que la religion soit entièrement à Allah. Puis, s’ils cessent (ils seront pardonnés car) Allah observe bien ce qu’ils œuvrent.
8:40
وَإِنAnd ifwa-inتَوَلَّوْا۟they turn awaytawallawفَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟then knowfa-iʿ'lamūأَنَّthatannaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaمَوْلَىٰكُمْ ۚ(is) your ProtectormawlākumنِعْمَExcellentniʿ'maٱلْمَوْلَىٰ(is) the Protectorl-mawlāوَنِعْمَand Excellentwaniʿ'maٱلنَّصِيرُ(is) the Helperl-naṣīru٤٠
Et s’ils tournent le dos, sachez alors qu’Allah est votre Maître. Quel excellent Maître et quel excellent Secoureur !
8:41
۞ وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟And knowwa-iʿ'lamūأَنَّمَاthat whatannamāغَنِمْتُمyou obtain (as) spoils of warghanim'tumمِّنofminشَىْءٍۢanythingshayinفَأَنَّthen thatfa-annaلِلَّهِfor Allahlillahiخُمُسَهُۥ(is) one fifth of itkhumusahuوَلِلرَّسُولِand for the Messengerwalilrrasūliوَلِذِىand for thewalidhīٱلْقُرْبَىٰnear relativesl-qur'bāوَٱلْيَتَـٰمَىٰand the orphanswal-yatāmāوَٱلْمَسَـٰكِينِand the needywal-masākīniوَٱبْنِand thewa-ib'niٱلسَّبِيلِwayfarerl-sabīliإِنifinكُنتُمْyoukuntumءَامَنتُمbelieveāmantumبِٱللَّهِin Allahbil-lahiوَمَآand (in) whatwamāأَنزَلْنَاWe sent downanzalnāعَلَىٰtoʿalāعَبْدِنَاOur slaveʿabdināيَوْمَ(on the) dayyawmaٱلْفُرْقَانِ(of) the criterionl-fur'qāniيَوْمَ(the) dayyawmaٱلْتَقَى(when) metl-taqāٱلْجَمْعَانِ ۗthe two forcesl-jamʿāniوَٱللَّهُAnd Allahwal-lahuعَلَىٰ(is) onʿalāكُلِّeverykulliشَىْءٍۢthingshayinقَدِيرٌAll-Powerfulqadīrun٤١
Et sachez que, de tout butin que vous avez ramassé, le cinquième appartient à Allah, au Messager, à ses proches parents, aux orphelins, aux pauvres, et aux voyageurs (en détresse), si vous croyez en Allah et en ce que Nous avons fait descendre sur Notre serviteur, le jour du Discernement: le jour où les deux groupes s’étaient rencontrés, et Allah est Omnipotent .
8:42
إِذْWhenidhأَنتُمyou (were)antumبِٱلْعُدْوَةِon side of the valleybil-ʿud'watiٱلدُّنْيَاthe nearerl-dun'yāوَهُمand theywahumبِٱلْعُدْوَةِ(were) on the sidebil-ʿud'watiٱلْقُصْوَىٰthe fartherl-quṣ'wāوَٱلرَّكْبُand the caravanwal-rakbuأَسْفَلَ(was) lowerasfalaمِنكُمْ ۚthan youminkumوَلَوْAnd ifwalawتَوَاعَدتُّمْyou (had) made an appointmenttawāʿadttumلَٱخْتَلَفْتُمْcertainly you would have failedla-ikh'talaftumفِىinfīٱلْمِيعَـٰدِ ۙthe appointmentl-mīʿādiوَلَـٰكِنButwalākinلِّيَقْضِىَthat might accomplishliyaqḍiyaٱللَّهُAllahl-lahuأَمْرًۭاa matteramranكَانَ(that) waskānaمَفْعُولًۭاdestinedmafʿūlanلِّيَهْلِكَthat (might be) destroyedliyahlikaمَنْ(those) whomanهَلَكَ(were to be) destroyedhalakaعَنۢonʿanبَيِّنَةٍۢa clear evidencebayyinatinوَيَحْيَىٰand (might) livewayaḥyāمَنْ(those) whomanحَىَّ(were to) liveḥayyaعَنۢonʿanبَيِّنَةٍۢ ۗa clear evidencebayyinatinوَإِنَّAnd indeedwa-innaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaلَسَمِيعٌ(is) All-HearinglasamīʿunعَلِيمٌAll-Knowingʿalīmun٤٢
Vous étiez sur le versant le plus proche, et eux (les ennemis) sur le versant le plus éloigné, tandis que la caravane était plus bas que vous. Si vous vous étiez donné rendez-vous, vous l’auriez manqué (effrayés par le nombre de l’ennemi). Mais il fallait qu’Allah accomplît un ordre qui devait être exécuté, pour que, sur preuve, pérît celui qui (devait) périr, et vécût, sur preuve, celui qui (devait) vivre. Et certes, Allah est Audient et Omniscient .
8:43
إِذْWhenidhيُرِيكَهُمُyou (where) shown themyurīkahumuٱللَّهُ(by) Allahl-lahuفِىinfīمَنَامِكَyour dreammanāmikaقَلِيلًۭا ۖ(as) fewqalīlanوَلَوْand ifwalawأَرَىٰكَهُمْHe had shown them to youarākahumكَثِيرًۭا(as) manykathīranلَّفَشِلْتُمْsurely you would have lost couragelafashil'tumوَلَتَنَـٰزَعْتُمْand surely you would have disputedwalatanāzaʿtumفِىinfīٱلْأَمْرِthe matterl-amriوَلَـٰكِنَّbutwalākinnaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaسَلَّمَ ۗsaved (you)sallamaإِنَّهُۥIndeed, Heinnahuعَلِيمٌۢ(is) All-Knowerʿalīmunبِذَاتِof what is inbidhātiٱلصُّدُورِthe breastsl-ṣudūri٤٣
En songe, Allah te les avait montrés peu nombreux! Car s’Il te les avait montrés nombreux, vous auriez certainement fléchi, et vous vous seriez certainement disputés à propos de l’affaire. Mais Allah vous en a préservés. Il connaît le contenu des poitrines.
8:44
وَإِذْAnd whenwa-idhيُرِيكُمُوهُمْHe showed them to youyurīkumūhumإِذِwhenidhiٱلْتَقَيْتُمْyou met l-taqaytumفِىٓinfīأَعْيُنِكُمْyour eyesaʿyunikumقَلِيلًۭا(as) fewqalīlanوَيُقَلِّلُكُمْand He made you (appear) as fewwayuqallilukumفِىٓinfīأَعْيُنِهِمْtheir eyesaʿyunihimلِيَقْضِىَthat might accomplishliyaqḍiyaٱللَّهُAllah might accomplishl-lahuأَمْرًۭاa matteramranكَانَ(that) waskānaمَفْعُولًۭا ۗ(already) destinedmafʿūlanوَإِلَىAnd towa-ilāٱللَّهِAllahl-lahiتُرْجَعُreturntur'jaʿuٱلْأُمُورُ(all) the mattersl-umūru٤٤
Et aussi, au moment de la rencontre, Il vous les montrait peu nombreux à vos yeux, de même qu’Il vous faisait paraître à leurs yeux peu nombreux afin qu’Allah parachève un ordre qui devait être exécuté. C’est à Allah que sont ramenées les choses.
8:45
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاO youyāayyuhāٱلَّذِينَwhoalladhīnaءَامَنُوٓا۟believeāmanūإِذَاWhenidhāلَقِيتُمْyou meetlaqītumفِئَةًۭa forcefi-atanفَٱثْبُتُوا۟then be firmfa-uth'butūوَٱذْكُرُوا۟and rememberwa-udh'kurūٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaكَثِيرًۭاmuchkathīranلَّعَلَّكُمْso that you maylaʿallakumتُفْلِحُونَ(be) successfultuf'liḥūna٤٥
Ô vous qui croyez! Lorsque vous rencontrez une troupe (ennemie), soyez fermes, et invoquez beaucoup Allah afin de réussir.
8:46
وَأَطِيعُوا۟And obeywa-aṭīʿūٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaوَرَسُولَهُۥand His Messengerwarasūlahuوَلَاand (do) notwalāتَنَـٰزَعُوا۟disputetanāzaʿūفَتَفْشَلُوا۟lest you lose couragefatafshalūوَتَذْهَبَand (would) departwatadhhabaرِيحُكُمْ ۖyour strengthrīḥukumوَٱصْبِرُوٓا۟ ۚand be patientwa-iṣ'birūإِنَّIndeedinnaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaمَعَ(is) withmaʿaٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَthe patient onesl-ṣābirīna٤٦
Et obéissez à Allah et à Son Messager ! Et ne vous disputez pas, sinon vous fléchirez et perdrez votre force. Et soyez endurants, car Allah est avec les endurants.
8:47
وَلَاAnd (do) notwalāتَكُونُوا۟betakūnūكَٱلَّذِينَlike those whoka-alladhīnaخَرَجُوا۟came forthkharajūمِنfromminدِيَـٰرِهِمtheir homesdiyārihimبَطَرًۭاboastfullybaṭaranوَرِئَآءَand showing offwariāaٱلنَّاسِ(to) the peoplel-nāsiوَيَصُدُّونَand hinder (them)wayaṣuddūnaعَنfromʿanسَبِيلِ(the) waysabīliٱللَّهِ ۚ(of) Allahl-lahiوَٱللَّهُAnd Allahwal-lahuبِمَاof whatbimāيَعْمَلُونَthey doyaʿmalūnaمُحِيطٌۭ(is) All-Encompassingmuḥīṭun٤٧
Et ne soyez pas comme ceux qui sortirent de leurs demeures pour repousser la vérité et avec ostentation publique, obstruant le chemin d’Allah. Et Allah cerne ce qu’ils font .
8:48
وَإِذْAnd whenwa-idhزَيَّنَmade fair-seemingzayyanaلَهُمُto themlahumuٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُthe Shaitaanl-shayṭānuأَعْمَـٰلَهُمْtheir deedsaʿmālahumوَقَالَand he saidwaqālaلَاNo (one)lāغَالِبَ(can) overcomeghālibaلَكُمُ[to] youlakumuٱلْيَوْمَtodayl-yawmaمِنَfromminaٱلنَّاسِthe peoplel-nāsiوَإِنِّىand indeed, I amwa-innīجَارٌۭa neighborjārunلَّكُمْ ۖfor youlakumفَلَمَّاBut whenfalammāتَرَآءَتِcame in sighttarāatiٱلْفِئَتَانِthe two forcesl-fi-atāniنَكَصَhe turned awaynakaṣaعَلَىٰonʿalāعَقِبَيْهِhis heelsʿaqibayhiوَقَالَand saidwaqālaإِنِّىIndeed, I aminnīبَرِىٓءٌۭfreebarīonمِّنكُمْof youminkumإِنِّىٓIndeed, Iinnīأَرَىٰseearāمَاwhatmāلَاnotlāتَرَوْنَyou seetarawnaإِنِّىٓindeed, Iinnīأَخَافُ[I] fearakhāfuٱللَّهَ ۚAllahl-lahaوَٱللَّهُAnd Allahwal-lahuشَدِيدُ(is) severeshadīduٱلْعِقَابِ(in) the penaltyl-ʿiqābi٤٨
Et quand le Diable (Satan) leur eut embelli leurs actions et dit : "Nul parmi les humains ne peut vous dominer aujourd’hui, et je suis votre soutien." Mais, lorsque les deux groupes furent en vue l’un de l’autre, il tourna les deux talons et dit : "Je vous désavoue. Je vois ce que vous ne voyez pas; je crains Allah, et Allah est dur en punition !"
8:49
إِذْWhenidhيَقُولُsaidyaqūluٱلْمُنَـٰفِقُونَthe hypocritesl-munāfiqūnaوَٱلَّذِينَand those who wa-alladhīnaفِىinfīقُلُوبِهِمtheir heartsqulūbihimمَّرَضٌ(was) a diseasemaraḍunغَرَّ(Had) deludedgharraهَـٰٓؤُلَآءِthese (people)hāulāiدِينُهُمْ ۗtheir religiondīnuhumوَمَنBut whoeverwamanيَتَوَكَّلْputs (his) trustyatawakkalعَلَىinʿalāٱللَّهِAllahl-lahiفَإِنَّthen indeedfa-innaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaعَزِيزٌ(is) All-MightyʿazīzunحَكِيمٌۭAll-Wiseḥakīmun٤٩
(Rappelez-vous) quand les hypocrites et ceux qui ont une maladie au cœur [dont la foi est douteuse] disaient : "Ces gens-là, leur religion les trompe." Mais quiconque place sa confiance en Allah (sera victorieux)... Certes, Allah est Puissant et Sage.
8:50
وَلَوْAnd ifwalawتَرَىٰٓyou (could) seetarāإِذْwhenidhيَتَوَفَّىtake away soulsyatawaffāٱلَّذِينَ(of) those whoalladhīnaكَفَرُوا۟ ۙdisbelievekafarūٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُthe Angelsl-malāikatuيَضْرِبُونَstrikingyaḍribūnaوُجُوهَهُمْtheir faceswujūhahumوَأَدْبَـٰرَهُمْand their backswa-adbārahumوَذُوقُوا۟Tastewadhūqūعَذَابَ(the) punishmentʿadhābaٱلْحَرِيقِ(of) the Blazing Firel-ḥarīqi٥٠
Si tu voyais, lorsque les Anges arrachaient les âmes aux mécréants ! Ils les frappaient sur leurs visages et leurs derrières, (en disant) : "Goûtez au châtiment du Feu .
8:51
ذَٰلِكَThatdhālikaبِمَا(is) for whatbimāقَدَّمَتْsent forthqaddamatأَيْدِيكُمْyour handsaydīkumوَأَنَّAnd indeedwa-annaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaلَيْسَ(is) notlaysaبِظَلَّـٰمٍۢunjustbiẓallāminلِّلْعَبِيدِto His slaveslil'ʿabīdi٥١
Cela (le châtiment), pour ce que vos mains ont accompli." Et Allah n’est point injuste envers les esclaves.
8:52
كَدَأْبِLike (the) waykadabiءَالِ(of) peopleāliفِرْعَوْنَ ۙ(of) Firaunfir'ʿawnaوَٱلَّذِينَand those whowa-alladhīnaمِن(were) fromminقَبْلِهِمْ ۚbefore themqablihimكَفَرُوا۟They disbelievedkafarūبِـَٔايَـٰتِin (the) Signsbiāyātiٱللَّهِ(of) Allahl-lahiفَأَخَذَهُمُso seized themfa-akhadhahumuٱللَّهُAllahl-lahuبِذُنُوبِهِمْ ۗfor their sinsbidhunūbihimإِنَّIndeedinnaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaقَوِىٌّۭ(is) All-Strongqawiyyunشَدِيدُ(and) severeshadīduٱلْعِقَابِ(in) the penaltyl-ʿiqābi٥٢
Il en fut de même des gens de Pharaon et ceux qui avant eux n’avaient pas cru aux signes (enseignements) d’Allah. Allah les saisit pour leurs péchés. Allah est certes Fort et sévère en punition .
8:53
ذَٰلِكَThatdhālikaبِأَنَّ(is) becausebi-annaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaلَمْnotlamيَكُisyakuمُغَيِّرًۭاOne Who changesmughayyiranنِّعْمَةًa favorniʿ'matanأَنْعَمَهَاwhich He had bestowedanʿamahāعَلَىٰonʿalāقَوْمٍa peopleqawminحَتَّىٰuntilḥattāيُغَيِّرُوا۟they changeyughayyirūمَاwhatmāبِأَنفُسِهِمْ ۙ(is) in themselvesbi-anfusihimوَأَنَّAnd indeedwa-annaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaسَمِيعٌ(is) All-HearingsamīʿunعَلِيمٌۭAll-Knowingʿalīmun٥٣
C’est qu’en effet Allah ne modifie pas un bienfait dont Il a gratifié un peuple jusqu’à ce que celui-ci change ce qui est en lui-même . Et Allah est Audient et Omniscient.
8:54
كَدَأْبِLike (the) waykadabiءَالِ(of) peopleāliفِرْعَوْنَ ۙ(of) Firaunfir'ʿawnaوَٱلَّذِينَand those whowa-alladhīnaمِن(were) fromminقَبْلِهِمْ ۚbefore themqablihimكَذَّبُوا۟They deniedkadhabūبِـَٔايَـٰتِ(the) Signsbiāyātiرَبِّهِمْ(of) their Lordrabbihimفَأَهْلَكْنَـٰهُمso We destroyed themfa-ahlaknāhumبِذُنُوبِهِمْfor their sinsbidhunūbihimوَأَغْرَقْنَآand We drownedwa-aghraqnāءَالَ(the) peopleālaفِرْعَوْنَ ۚ(of) Firaunfir'ʿawnaوَكُلٌّۭand (they) allwakullunكَانُوا۟werekānūظَـٰلِمِينَwrongdoersẓālimīna٥٤
Il en fut de même des gens de Pharaon et ceux qui avant eux avaient traité de mensonges les signes (enseignements) de leur Seigneur. Nous les avons fait périr pour leurs péchés. Et Nous avons noyé les gens de Pharaon. Car ils étaient tous des injustes.
8:55
إِنَّIndeedinnaشَرَّ(the) worstsharraٱلدَّوَآبِّ(of) the living creaturesl-dawābiعِندَnearʿindaٱللَّهِAllahl-lahiٱلَّذِينَ(are) those whoalladhīnaكَفَرُوا۟disbelievekafarūفَهُمْand theyfahumلَا(will) notlāيُؤْمِنُونَbelieveyu'minūna٥٥
Les pires bêtes, auprès d’Allah, sont ceux qui ont été infidèles (dans le passé) et qui ne croient donc point (actuellement),
8:56
ٱلَّذِينَThose who alladhīnaعَـٰهَدتَّyou made a covenantʿāhadttaمِنْهُمْwith themmin'humثُمَّthenthummaيَنقُضُونَthey breakyanquḍūnaعَهْدَهُمْtheir covenantʿahdahumفِى[in]fīكُلِّeverykulliمَرَّةٍۢtimemarratinوَهُمْand theywahumلَا(do) notlāيَتَّقُونَfear (Allah)yattaqūna٥٦
ceux-là mêmes avec lesquels tu as fait un pacte et qui chaque fois le rompent, sans aucune crainte [d’Allah].
8:57
فَإِمَّاSo iffa-immāتَثْقَفَنَّهُمْyou gain dominance over themtathqafannahumفِىinfīٱلْحَرْبِthe warl-ḥarbiفَشَرِّدْdispersefasharridبِهِمby thembihimمَّنْ(those) whomanخَلْفَهُمْ(are) behind themkhalfahumلَعَلَّهُمْso that they maylaʿallahumيَذَّكَّرُونَtake heedyadhakkarūna٥٧
Donc, si tu les maîtrises à la guerre, inflige-leur un châtiment exemplaire de telle sorte que ceux qui sont derrière eux soient effarouchés. Afin qu’ils se souviennent.
8:58
وَإِمَّاAnd ifwa-immāتَخَافَنَّyou feartakhāfannaمِنfromminقَوْمٍa peopleqawminخِيَانَةًۭbetrayalkhiyānatanفَٱنۢبِذْthrow backfa-inbidhإِلَيْهِمْto themilayhimعَلَىٰonʿalāسَوَآءٍ ۚequal (terms)sawāinإِنَّIndeedinnaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaلَا(does) notlāيُحِبُّloveyuḥibbuٱلْخَآئِنِينَthe traitorsl-khāinīna٥٨
Et si jamais tu crains vraiment une trahison de la part d’un peuple, dénonce alors le pacte (que tu as conclu avec), d’une façon franche et loyale car Allah n’aime pas les traîtres.
8:59
وَلَاAnd (let) notwalāيَحْسَبَنَّthinkyaḥsabannaٱلَّذِينَthose whoalladhīnaكَفَرُوا۟disbelievekafarūسَبَقُوٓا۟ ۚthey can outstripsabaqūإِنَّهُمْIndeed, theyinnahumلَا(can) notlāيُعْجِزُونَescapeyuʿ'jizūna٥٩
Que les mécréants ne pensent pas qu’ils Nous ont échappé. Non, ils ne pourront jamais Nous empêcher (de les rattraper à n’importe quel moment).
8:60
وَأَعِدُّوا۟And preparewa-aʿiddūلَهُمfor themlahumمَّاwhatevermāٱسْتَطَعْتُمyou able (to)is'taṭaʿtumمِّنofminقُوَّةٍۢforcequwwatinوَمِنand ofwaminرِّبَاطِtetheredribāṭiٱلْخَيْلِhorsesl-khayliتُرْهِبُونَ(to) terrifytur'hibūnaبِهِۦtherewithbihiعَدُوَّ(the) enemyʿaduwwaٱللَّهِ(of) Allahl-lahiوَعَدُوَّكُمْand your enemywaʿaduwwakumوَءَاخَرِينَand otherswaākharīnaمِنfromminدُونِهِمْbesides themdūnihimلَاnotlāتَعْلَمُونَهُمُ(do) you know themtaʿlamūnahumuٱللَّهُ(but) Allahl-lahuيَعْلَمُهُمْ ۚknows themyaʿlamuhumوَمَاAnd whateverwamāتُنفِقُوا۟you spendtunfiqūمِنfromminشَىْءٍۢ(any) thingshayinفِىinfīسَبِيلِ(the) waysabīliٱللَّهِ(of) Allahl-lahiيُوَفَّit will be fully repaidyuwaffaإِلَيْكُمْto youilaykumوَأَنتُمْand youwa-antumلَا(will) notlāتُظْلَمُونَbe wrongedtuẓ'lamūna٦٠
Et préparez [pour lutter] contre eux tout ce que vous pouvez comme force et comme cavalerie équipée, afin d’effrayer l’ennemi d’Allah et le vôtre, et d’autres encore que vous ne connaissez pas en dehors de ceux-ci mais qu’Allah connaît. Et tout ce que vous dépensez dans le sentier d’Allah vous sera remboursé pleinement et vous ne serez point lésés.
8:61
۞ وَإِنAnd ifwa-inجَنَحُوا۟they inclinejanaḥūلِلسَّلْمِto peacelilssalmiفَٱجْنَحْthen you (also) inclinefa-ij'naḥلَهَاto itlahāوَتَوَكَّلْand put (your) trustwatawakkalعَلَىinʿalāٱللَّهِ ۚAllahl-lahiإِنَّهُۥIndeedinnahuهُوَHehuwaٱلسَّمِيعُ(is) All-Hearerl-samīʿuٱلْعَلِيمُAll-Knowerl-ʿalīmu٦١
Et s’ils inclinent à la paix, incline vers celle-ci (toi aussi) et place ta confiance en Allah, car c’est Lui l’Audient, l’Omniscient.
8:62
وَإِنBut ifwa-inيُرِيدُوٓا۟they intendyurīdūأَنtoanيَخْدَعُوكَdeceive youyakhdaʿūkaفَإِنَّthen indeedfa-innaحَسْبَكَis sufficient for youḥasbakaٱللَّهُ ۚAllahl-lahuهُوَHehuwaٱلَّذِىٓ(is) the One Whoalladhīأَيَّدَكَsupported youayyadakaبِنَصْرِهِۦwith His helpbinaṣrihiوَبِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَand with the believerswabil-mu'minīna٦٢
Et s’ils veulent te tromper, alors Allah te suffira. C’est Lui qui t’a soutenu par Son secours, ainsi que par (l’assistance) des croyants.
8:63
وَأَلَّفَAnd He (has) put affectionwa-allafaبَيْنَbetweenbaynaقُلُوبِهِمْ ۚtheir heartsqulūbihimلَوْIflawأَنفَقْتَyou (had) spentanfaqtaمَاwhatevermāفِى(is) infīٱلْأَرْضِthe earthl-arḍiجَمِيعًۭاalljamīʿanمَّآnotmāأَلَّفْتَ(could) you (have) put affectionallaftaبَيْنَbetweenbaynaقُلُوبِهِمْtheir heartsqulūbihimوَلَـٰكِنَّbutwalākinnaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaأَلَّفَ(has) put affectionallafaبَيْنَهُمْ ۚbetween thembaynahumإِنَّهُۥIndeed, Heinnahuعَزِيزٌ(is) All-MightyʿazīzunحَكِيمٌۭAll-Wiseḥakīmun٦٣
Il a uni leurs cœurs (par la foi). Aurais-tu dépensé tout ce qui est sur Terre, tu n’aurais pu unir leurs cœurs; mais c’est Allah qui les a unis, car Il est Puissant et Sage .
8:64
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاOyāayyuhāٱلنَّبِىُّProphetl-nabiyuحَسْبُكَSufficient for youḥasbukaٱللَّهُ(is) Allahl-lahuوَمَنِand whoeverwamaniٱتَّبَعَكَfollows youittabaʿakaمِنَofminaٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَthe believersl-mu'minīna٦٤
Ô Prophète ! Allah et ceux des croyants qui te suivent te suffisent.
8:65
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاOyāayyuhāٱلنَّبِىُّProphetl-nabiyuحَرِّضِUrgeḥarriḍiٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَthe believersl-mu'minīnaعَلَىtoʿalāٱلْقِتَالِ ۚ[the] fightl-qitāliإِنIfinيَكُن(there) areyakunمِّنكُمْamong youminkumعِشْرُونَtwentyʿish'rūnaصَـٰبِرُونَsteadfastṣābirūnaيَغْلِبُوا۟they will overcomeyaghlibūمِا۟ئَتَيْنِ ۚtwo hundredmi-atayniوَإِنAnd ifwa-inيَكُن(there) areyakunمِّنكُمamong youminkumمِّا۟ئَةٌۭa hundredmi-atunيَغْلِبُوٓا۟they will overcomeyaghlibūأَلْفًۭاa thousandalfanمِّنَofminaٱلَّذِينَthose whoalladhīnaكَفَرُوا۟disbelievekafarūبِأَنَّهُمْbecause theybi-annahumقَوْمٌۭ(are) a peopleqawmunلَّا(who do) notlāيَفْقَهُونَunderstandyafqahūna٦٥
Ô Prophète ! Incite les croyants au combat. S’il se trouve parmi vous vingt endurants, ils vaincront deux cents ; et s’il s’en trouve cent, ils vaincront mille mécréants, car ce sont vraiment des gens qui ne comprennent pas.
8:66
ٱلْـَٔـٰنَNowal-ānaخَفَّفَhas (been) lightenedkhaffafaٱللَّهُ(by) Allahl-lahuعَنكُمْfor youʿankumوَعَلِمَand He knowswaʿalimaأَنَّthatannaفِيكُمْin youfīkumضَعْفًۭا ۚ(there) is weaknessḍaʿfanفَإِنSo iffa-inيَكُن(there) areyakunمِّنكُمamong youminkumمِّا۟ئَةٌۭa hundredmi-atunصَابِرَةٌۭsteadfastṣābiratunيَغْلِبُوا۟they will overcomeyaghlibūمِا۟ئَتَيْنِ ۚtwo hundredmi-atayniوَإِنAnd ifwa-inيَكُن(there) areyakunمِّنكُمْamong youminkumأَلْفٌۭa thousandalfunيَغْلِبُوٓا۟they will overcomeyaghlibūأَلْفَيْنِtwo thousandalfayniبِإِذْنِwith (the) permissionbi-idh'niٱللَّهِ ۗ(of) Allahl-lahiوَٱللَّهُAnd Allahwal-lahuمَعَ(is) withmaʿaٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَthe steadfastl-ṣābirīna٦٦
Maintenant, Allah a allégé votre tâche, sachant qu’il y a de la faiblesse en vous. S’il y a cent endurants parmi vous, ils vaincront deux cents; et s’il y en a mille, ils vaincront deux mille, par la grâce d’Allah. Et Allah est avec les endurants.
8:67
مَاNotmāكَانَiskānaلِنَبِىٍّfor a Prophetlinabiyyinأَنthatanيَكُونَ(there) should beyakūnaلَهُۥٓfor himlahuأَسْرَىٰprisoners of warasrāحَتَّىٰuntilḥattāيُثْخِنَhe has battled strenuouslyyuth'khinaفِىinfīٱلْأَرْضِ ۚthe landl-arḍiتُرِيدُونَYou desireturīdūnaعَرَضَ(the) commoditiesʿaraḍaٱلدُّنْيَا(of) the worldl-dun'yāوَٱللَّهُbut Allahwal-lahuيُرِيدُdesiresyurīduٱلْـَٔاخِرَةَ ۗ(for you) the Hereafterl-ākhirataوَٱللَّهُAnd Allahwal-lahuعَزِيزٌ(is) All-MightyʿazīzunحَكِيمٌۭAll-Wiseḥakīmun٦٧
Un prophète ne devrait pas faire de prisonniers avant d’avoir prévalu [et mis les mécréants hors de combat] sur la Terre. Vous voulez les biens d’ici- bas, tandis qu’Allah veut l’au-delà. Allah est Puissant et Sage .
8:68
لَّوْلَاHad notlawlāكِتَـٰبٌۭan ordainmentkitābunمِّنَfromminaٱللَّهِAllahl-lahiسَبَقَprecededsabaqaلَمَسَّكُمْsurely (would) have touched youlamassakumفِيمَآfor whatfīmāأَخَذْتُمْyou took akhadhtumعَذَابٌa punishmentʿadhābunعَظِيمٌۭgreatʿaẓīmun٦٨
N’eut-été une prescription préalable d’Allah, un énorme châtiment vous aurait touché pour ce que vous avez pris [de la rançon].
8:69
فَكُلُوا۟So eatfakulūمِمَّاfrom whatmimmāغَنِمْتُمْyou got as war booty ghanim'tumحَلَـٰلًۭاlawfulḥalālanطَيِّبًۭا ۚ(and) goodṭayyibanوَٱتَّقُوا۟and fearwa-ittaqūٱللَّهَ ۚAllahl-lahaإِنَّIndeedinnaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaغَفُورٌۭ(is) Oft-ForgivingghafūrunرَّحِيمٌۭMost Mercifulraḥīmun٦٩
Mangez donc de ce qui vous est échu en butin, tant qu’il est licite et pur. Et craignez Allah ! Certes, Allah est Pardonneur et Miséricordieux.
8:70
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاOyāayyuhāٱلنَّبِىُّProphetl-nabiyuقُلSayqulلِّمَنto whoeverlimanفِىٓ(is) infīأَيْدِيكُمyour handsaydīkumمِّنَofminaٱلْأَسْرَىٰٓthe captivesl-asrāإِنIfinيَعْلَمِknowsyaʿlamiٱللَّهُAllahl-lahuفِىinfīقُلُوبِكُمْyour heartsqulūbikumخَيْرًۭاany goodkhayranيُؤْتِكُمْHe will give youyu'tikumخَيْرًۭاbetterkhayranمِّمَّآthan whatmimmāأُخِذَwas takenukhidhaمِنكُمْfrom youminkumوَيَغْفِرْand He will forgivewayaghfirلَكُمْ ۗyoulakumوَٱللَّهُAnd Allahwal-lahuغَفُورٌۭ(is) Oft-ForgivingghafūrunرَّحِيمٌۭMost Mercifulraḥīmun٧٠
Ô Prophète ! Dis aux captifs qui sont entre vos mains : "Si Allah sait qu’il y a quelque bien dans vos cœurs, Il vous donnera mieux que ce qui vous a été pris et vous pardonnera. Allah est Pardonneur et Miséricordieux.
8:71
وَإِنBut ifwa-inيُرِيدُوا۟they intendyurīdūخِيَانَتَكَ(to) betray youkhiyānatakaفَقَدْcertainlyfaqadخَانُوا۟they have betrayedkhānūٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaمِنfromminقَبْلُbeforeqabluفَأَمْكَنَSo He gave (you) powerfa-amkanaمِنْهُمْ ۗover themmin'humوَٱللَّهُAnd Allahwal-lahuعَلِيمٌ(is) All-KnowerʿalīmunحَكِيمٌAll-Wiseḥakīmun٧١
Et s’ils veulent te trahir..., c’est qu’ils ont déjà trahi Allah [par la mécréance] ; mais Il a donné prise sur eux [le jour de Badr]. Et Allah est Omniscient et Sage.
8:72
إِنَّIndeedinnaٱلَّذِينَthose whoalladhīnaءَامَنُوا۟believedāmanūوَهَاجَرُوا۟and emigratedwahājarūوَجَـٰهَدُوا۟and strove hardwajāhadūبِأَمْوَٰلِهِمْwith their wealthbi-amwālihimوَأَنفُسِهِمْand their liveswa-anfusihimفِىinfīسَبِيلِ(the) waysabīliٱللَّهِ(of) Allahl-lahiوَٱلَّذِينَand those whowa-alladhīnaءَاوَوا۟gave shelterāwawوَّنَصَرُوٓا۟and helpedwanaṣarūأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَthose ulāikaبَعْضُهُمْsome of thembaʿḍuhumأَوْلِيَآءُ(are) alliesawliyāuبَعْضٍۢ ۚ(of) anotherbaʿḍinوَٱلَّذِينَBut those whowa-alladhīnaءَامَنُوا۟believedāmanūوَلَمْand (did) notwalamيُهَاجِرُوا۟emigrateyuhājirūمَا(it is) notmāلَكُمfor youlakumمِّن(of)minوَلَـٰيَتِهِمtheir protectionwalāyatihimمِّن(in)minشَىْءٍ(in) anythingshayinحَتَّىٰuntilḥattāيُهَاجِرُوا۟ ۚthey emigrateyuhājirūوَإِنِAnd ifwa-iniٱسْتَنصَرُوكُمْthey seek your helpis'tanṣarūkumفِىinfīٱلدِّينِthe religionl-dīniفَعَلَيْكُمُthen upon youfaʿalaykumuٱلنَّصْرُ(is to) help theml-naṣruإِلَّاexceptillāعَلَىٰagainstʿalāقَوْمٍۭa peopleqawminبَيْنَكُمْbetween youbaynakumوَبَيْنَهُمand between themwabaynahumمِّيثَـٰقٌۭ ۗ(is) a treatymīthāqunوَٱللَّهُAnd Allahwal-lahuبِمَاof whatbimāتَعْمَلُونَyou dotaʿmalūnaبَصِيرٌۭ(is) All-Seerbaṣīrun٧٢
Ceux qui ont cru, émigré et lutté de leurs biens et de leurs personnes dans le sentier d’Allah, ainsi que ceux qui leur ont donné refuge et secours, ceux- là sont alliés les uns des autres. Quant à ceux qui ont cru et n’ont pas émigré, vous ne serez pas liés à eux, jusqu’à ce qu’ils émigrent. Et s’ils vous demandent secours au nom de la religion, à vous alors de leur porter secours, mais pas contre un peuple auquel vous êtes liés par un pacte. Et Allah observe bien ce que vous œuvrez .
8:73
وَٱلَّذِينَAnd those whowa-alladhīnaكَفَرُوا۟disbelievekafarūبَعْضُهُمْsome of thembaʿḍuhumأَوْلِيَآءُ(are) alliesawliyāuبَعْضٍ ۚ(to) anotherbaʿḍinإِلَّاIf notillāتَفْعَلُوهُyou do ittafʿalūhuتَكُن(there) will betakunفِتْنَةٌۭoppressionfit'natunفِىinfīٱلْأَرْضِthe earthl-arḍiوَفَسَادٌۭand corruptionwafasādunكَبِيرٌۭgreatkabīrun٧٣
Et ceux qui n’ont pas cru sont alliés les uns des autres. Si vous n’agissez pas ainsi [en rompant les liens avec les infidèles], il y aura discorde sur Terre et grand désordre.
8:74
وَٱلَّذِينَAnd those whowa-alladhīnaءَامَنُوا۟believedāmanūوَهَاجَرُوا۟and emigratedwahājarūوَجَـٰهَدُوا۟and strove hardwajāhadūفِىinfīسَبِيلِ(the) waysabīliٱللَّهِ(of) Allahl-lahiوَٱلَّذِينَand those whowa-alladhīnaءَاوَوا۟gave shelterāwawوَّنَصَرُوٓا۟and helpedwanaṣarūأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَthose ulāikaهُمُthey (are)humuٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَthe believersl-mu'minūnaحَقًّۭا ۚ(in) truthḥaqqanلَّهُمFor themlahumمَّغْفِرَةٌۭ(is) forgivenessmaghfiratunوَرِزْقٌۭand a provisionwariz'qunكَرِيمٌۭnoblekarīmun٧٤
Et ceux qui ont cru, émigré et lutté dans le sentier d’Allah, ainsi que ceux qui leur ont donné refuge et porté secours, ceux-là sont les vrais croyants: à eux, un pardon et une récompense généreuse.
8:75
وَٱلَّذِينَAnd those whowa-alladhīnaءَامَنُوا۟believedāmanūمِنۢfromminبَعْدُafterwardsbaʿduوَهَاجَرُوا۟and emigratedwahājarūوَجَـٰهَدُوا۟and strove hardwajāhadūمَعَكُمْwith youmaʿakumفَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَthen thosefa-ulāikaمِنكُمْ ۚ(are) of youminkumوَأُو۟لُوا۟But thosewa-ulūٱلْأَرْحَامِ(of) blood relationshipl-arḥāmiبَعْضُهُمْsome of thembaʿḍuhumأَوْلَىٰ(are) nearerawlāبِبَعْضٍۢto anotherbibaʿḍinفِىinfīكِتَـٰبِ(the) Bookkitābiٱللَّهِ ۗ(of) Allahl-lahiإِنَّIndeedinnaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaبِكُلِّof everybikulliشَىْءٍthingshayinعَلِيمٌۢ(is) All-Knowerʿalīmun٧٥
Et ceux qui après cela ont cru et émigré et lutté en votre compagnie, ceux-là sont des vôtres. Cependant ceux qui sont liés par la parenté ont priorité les uns envers les autres, d’après le Livre d’Allah. Certes, Allah est Omniscient.
