Al-Mu'minun

Mecquoise 118 Versets Juz 18

المؤمنون

Bismillah

بِسْمِ In (the) name ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ the Most Gracious ٱلرَّحِيمِ the Most Merciful

Au nom d'Allah, le Tout Miséricordieux, le Très Miséricordieux

23:1

قَدْ Indeed أَفْلَحَ successful ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ (are) the believers ١ (1)

Bienheureux sont certes les croyants ,

23:2

ٱلَّذِينَ Those who هُمْ [they] فِى during صَلَاتِهِمْ their prayers خَـٰشِعُونَ (are) humbly submissive ٢ (2)

ceux qui sont humbles dans leur prière (As-Salât),

23:3

وَٱلَّذِينَ Those who هُمْ [they] عَنِ from ٱللَّغْوِ the vain talk مُعْرِضُونَ turn away ٣ (3)

(et ceux) qui se détournent des futilités,

23:4

وَٱلَّذِينَ Those who هُمْ [they] لِلزَّكَوٰةِ of purification works فَـٰعِلُونَ (are) doers ٤ (4)

(et ceux) qui s’acquittent de l’aumône (Az-Zakāt),

23:5

وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who هُمْ [they] لِفُرُوجِهِمْ of their modesty حَـٰفِظُونَ (are) guardians ٥ (5)

et (ceux) qui préservent leurs sexes [de tout rapport],

23:6

إِلَّا Except عَلَىٰٓ from أَزْوَٰجِهِمْ their spouses أَوْ or مَا what مَلَكَتْ possess أَيْمَـٰنُهُمْ their right hands فَإِنَّهُمْ then indeed, they غَيْرُ (are) not مَلُومِينَ blameworthy ٦ (6)

si ce n’est qu’avec leurs épouses ou les esclaves qu’ils possèdent , car là vraiment, on ne peut les blâmer ;

23:7

فَمَنِ Then whoever ٱبْتَغَىٰ seeks وَرَآءَ beyond ذَٰلِكَ that فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ then those هُمُ [they] ٱلْعَادُونَ (are) the transgressors ٧ (7)

alors que ceux qui cherchent au-delà de ces limites sont des transgresseurs ;

23:8

وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who هُمْ [they] لِأَمَـٰنَـٰتِهِمْ of their trusts وَعَهْدِهِمْ and their promise(s) رَٰعُونَ (are) observers ٨ (8)

et (ceux) qui veillent à la sauvegarde des dépôts confiés à eux et honorent leurs engagements,

23:9

وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who هُمْ [they] عَلَىٰ over صَلَوَٰتِهِمْ their prayers يُحَافِظُونَ they guard ٩ (9)

et (ceux) qui observent strictement leur prière (Aṣ-Ṣalāt).

23:10

أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ Those هُمُ [they] ٱلْوَٰرِثُونَ (are) the inheritors ١٠ (10)

Ce sont eux les héritiers,

23:11

ٱلَّذِينَ Who يَرِثُونَ will inherit ٱلْفِرْدَوْسَ the Paradise هُمْ They فِيهَا therein خَـٰلِدُونَ (will) abide forever ١١ (11)

ceux qui hériteront le Paradis pour y demeurer éternellement.

23:12

وَلَقَدْ And indeed خَلَقْنَا We created ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ the humankind مِن from سُلَـٰلَةٍۢ an essence مِّن of طِينٍۢ clay ١٢ (12)

Nous avons certes créé l’homme d’un extrait d’argile,

23:13

ثُمَّ Then جَعَلْنَـٰهُ We placed him نُطْفَةًۭ (as) a semen-drop فِى in قَرَارٍۢ a resting place مَّكِينٍۢ firm ١٣ (13)

puis Nous en fîmes une goutte de sperme dans un reposoir solide.

23:14

ثُمَّ Then خَلَقْنَا We created ٱلنُّطْفَةَ the semen-drop عَلَقَةًۭ (into) a clinging substance فَخَلَقْنَا then We created ٱلْعَلَقَةَ the clinging substance مُضْغَةًۭ (into) an embryonic lump فَخَلَقْنَا then We created ٱلْمُضْغَةَ the embryonic lump عِظَـٰمًۭا (into) bones فَكَسَوْنَا then We clothed ٱلْعِظَـٰمَ the bones لَحْمًۭا (with) flesh ثُمَّ then أَنشَأْنَـٰهُ We produce it خَلْقًا (as) a creation ءَاخَرَ ۚ another فَتَبَارَكَ So blessed is ٱللَّهُ Allah أَحْسَنُ (the) Best ٱلْخَـٰلِقِينَ (of) the Creators ١٤ (14)

Ensuite, Nous avons fait du sperme une adhérence; et de l’adhérence Nous avons créé un embryon ; puis, de cet embryon Nous avons créé des os et Nous avons revêtu les os de chair. Ensuite, Nous l’avons transformé en une tout autre création. Béni soit donc Allah le Meilleur des créateurs !

23:15

ثُمَّ Then إِنَّكُم indeed, you بَعْدَ after ذَٰلِكَ that لَمَيِّتُونَ surely (will) die ١٥ (15)

Puis, après cela vous mourrez.

23:16

ثُمَّ Then إِنَّكُمْ indeed, you يَوْمَ (on the) Day ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ (of) the Resurrection تُبْعَثُونَ will be resurrected ١٦ (16)

Puis au Jour de la Résurrection vous serez ressuscités.

23:17

وَلَقَدْ And indeed خَلَقْنَا We (have) created فَوْقَكُمْ above you سَبْعَ seven طَرَآئِقَ paths وَمَا and not كُنَّا We are عَنِ of ٱلْخَلْقِ the creation غَـٰفِلِينَ unaware ١٧ (17)

Et Nous avons créé, au-dessus de vous, sept cieux. Et Nous ne sommes pas inattentifs à la création.

23:18

وَأَنزَلْنَا And We send down مِنَ from ٱلسَّمَآءِ the sky مَآءًۢ water بِقَدَرٍۢ in (due) measure فَأَسْكَنَّـٰهُ then We cause it to settle فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ the earth وَإِنَّا And indeed, We عَلَىٰ on ذَهَابٍۭ taking it away بِهِۦ taking it away لَقَـٰدِرُونَ surely (are) Able ١٨ (18)

Et Nous avons fait descendre l’eau du ciel avec mesure. Puis Nous l’avons maintenue dans la terre, cependant que Nous sommes bien Capable de la faire disparaître.

23:19

فَأَنشَأْنَا Then We produced لَكُم for you بِهِۦ by it جَنَّـٰتٍۢ gardens مِّن of date-palms نَّخِيلٍۢ of date-palms وَأَعْنَـٰبٍۢ and grapevines لَّكُمْ for you فِيهَا in it فَوَٰكِهُ (are) fruits كَثِيرَةٌۭ abundant وَمِنْهَا and from them تَأْكُلُونَ you eat ١٩ (19)

Avec elle, Nous avons produit pour vous des jardins de palmiers et de vignes, dans lesquels vous avez des fruits abondants et desquels vous mangez,

23:20

وَشَجَرَةًۭ And a tree تَخْرُجُ (that) springs forth مِن from طُورِ Mount Sinai سَيْنَآءَ Mount Sinai تَنۢبُتُ (which) produces بِٱلدُّهْنِ oil وَصِبْغٍۢ and a relish لِّلْـَٔاكِلِينَ for those who eat ٢٠ (20)

ainsi qu’un arbre (l’olivier) qui pousse au Mont Sinaï, en produisant l’huile servant à oindre et où les mangeurs trempent leur pain.

23:21

وَإِنَّ And indeed لَكُمْ for you فِى in ٱلْأَنْعَـٰمِ the cattle لَعِبْرَةًۭ ۖ surely, (is) a lesson نُّسْقِيكُم We give you drink مِّمَّا from what فِى (is) in بُطُونِهَا their bellies وَلَكُمْ and for you فِيهَا in them مَنَـٰفِعُ (are) benefits كَثِيرَةٌۭ many وَمِنْهَا and of them تَأْكُلُونَ you eat ٢١ (21)

Vous avez certes dans les bestiaux, un sujet de méditation : Nous vous donnons à boire de ce qu’ils ont dans le ventre, et vous y trouvez également maintes utilités ; et vous vous en nourrissez.

23:22

وَعَلَيْهَا And on them وَعَلَى and on ٱلْفُلْكِ [the] ships تُحْمَلُونَ you are carried ٢٢ (22)

Sur eux ainsi que sur des vaisseaux vous êtes transportés.

23:23

وَلَقَدْ And verily أَرْسَلْنَا We sent نُوحًا Nuh إِلَىٰ to قَوْمِهِۦ his people فَقَالَ and he said يَـٰقَوْمِ O my people ٱعْبُدُوا۟ Worship ٱللَّهَ Allah مَا not لَكُم for you مِّنْ (is) any إِلَـٰهٍ god غَيْرُهُۥٓ ۖ other than Him أَفَلَا Then will not تَتَّقُونَ you fear ٢٣ (23)

Nous envoyâmes Noé vers son peuple. Il dit : "Ô mon peuple ! Adorez Allah ! Vous n’avez pas d’autre divinité [véritable] en dehors de Lui. Ne [Le] craignez-vous pas ?"

23:24

فَقَالَ But said ٱلْمَلَؤُا۟ the chiefs ٱلَّذِينَ (of) those who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieved مِن among قَوْمِهِۦ his people مَا This is not هَـٰذَآ This is not إِلَّا but بَشَرٌۭ a man مِّثْلُكُمْ like you يُرِيدُ he wishes أَن to يَتَفَضَّلَ assert (his) superiority عَلَيْكُمْ over you وَلَوْ and if شَآءَ Allah had willed ٱللَّهُ Allah had willed لَأَنزَلَ surely He (would have) sent down مَلَـٰٓئِكَةًۭ Angels مَّا Not سَمِعْنَا we heard بِهَـٰذَا of this فِىٓ from ءَابَآئِنَا our forefathers ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ our forefathers ٢٤ (24)

Alors les notables de son peuple qui avaient mécru dirent : "Celui-ci n’est qu’un être humain comme vous voulant se distinguer à votre détriment. Si Allah avait voulu, ce sont des Anges qu’Il aurait fait descendre. Jamais nous n’avons entendu cela chez nos ancêtres les plus reculés.

23:25

إِنْ Not هُوَ he إِلَّا (is) but رَجُلٌۢ a man بِهِۦ in him جِنَّةٌۭ (is) madness فَتَرَبَّصُوا۟ so wait بِهِۦ concerning him حَتَّىٰ until حِينٍۢ a time ٢٥ (25)

Ce n’est, en vérité qu’un homme atteint de folie, observez-le donc durant quelque temps.

23:26

قَالَ He said رَبِّ My Lord ٱنصُرْنِى Help me بِمَا because كَذَّبُونِ they deny me ٢٦ (26)

Il dit : "Seigneur ! Apporte-moi secours parce qu’ils me traitent de menteur."

23:27

فَأَوْحَيْنَآ So We inspired إِلَيْهِ to him أَنِ That ٱصْنَعِ construct ٱلْفُلْكَ the ship بِأَعْيُنِنَا under Our eyes وَوَحْيِنَا and Our inspiration فَإِذَا then when جَآءَ comes أَمْرُنَا Our Command وَفَارَ and gushes forth ٱلتَّنُّورُ ۙ the oven فَٱسْلُكْ then put فِيهَا into it مِن of كُلٍّۢ every (kind) زَوْجَيْنِ (of) mates ٱثْنَيْنِ two وَأَهْلَكَ and your family إِلَّا except مَن those سَبَقَ (has) preceded عَلَيْهِ against whom ٱلْقَوْلُ the Word مِنْهُمْ ۖ thereof وَلَا And (do) not تُخَـٰطِبْنِى address Me فِى concerning ٱلَّذِينَ those who ظَلَمُوٓا۟ ۖ wronged إِنَّهُم indeed, they مُّغْرَقُونَ (are) the ones to be drowned ٢٧ (27)

Nous lui révélâmes : "Construis l’arche sous Nos yeux et selon Notre révélation. Et quand Notre commandement viendra et que le four bouillonnera, achemine là-dedans un couple de chaque espèce, ainsi que ta famille, sauf ceux d’entre eux contre qui la parole a déjà été prononcé. Et ne t’adresse pas à Moi au sujet des injustes, car ils seront fatalement noyés !

23:28

فَإِذَا And when ٱسْتَوَيْتَ you (have) boarded أَنتَ you وَمَن and whoever مَّعَكَ (is) with you عَلَى [on] ٱلْفُلْكِ the ship فَقُلِ then say ٱلْحَمْدُ Praise لِلَّهِ (be) to Allah ٱلَّذِى Who نَجَّىٰنَا (has) saved us مِنَ from ٱلْقَوْمِ the people ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ the wrongdoers ٢٨ (28)

Et lorsque tu seras installé, toi et ceux qui sont avec toi, dans l’arche, dis : "Louange à Allah qui nous a sauvés du peuple des injustes."

23:29

وَقُل And say رَّبِّ My Lord أَنزِلْنِى cause me to land مُنزَلًۭا (at) a landing place مُّبَارَكًۭا blessed وَأَنتَ and You خَيْرُ (are) the Best ٱلْمُنزِلِينَ (of) those who cause to land.' ٢٩ (29)

Et dis: "Seigneur, fais-moi débarquer d’un débarquement béni. Tu es Celui qui procure le meilleur débarquement."

23:30

إِنَّ Indeed فِى in ذَٰلِكَ that لَـَٔايَـٰتٍۢ surely (are) Signs وَإِن and indeed كُنَّا We are لَمُبْتَلِينَ surely testing ٣٠ (30)

Voilà bien là des signes. Nous sommes certes Celui qui éprouve.

23:31

ثُمَّ Then أَنشَأْنَا We produced مِنۢ after them بَعْدِهِمْ after them قَرْنًا a generation ءَاخَرِينَ another ٣١ (31)

Puis, après eux, Nous avons créé d’autres générations.

23:32

فَأَرْسَلْنَا And We sent فِيهِمْ among them رَسُولًۭا a Messenger مِّنْهُمْ from themselves أَنِ [that] ٱعْبُدُوا۟ Worship ٱللَّهَ Allah مَا not لَكُم for you مِّنْ (is) any إِلَـٰهٍ god غَيْرُهُۥٓ ۖ other than Him أَفَلَا Then will not تَتَّقُونَ you fear ٣٢ (32)

Nous envoyâmes parmi elles un Messager [issu] d’elles pour leur dire : "Adorez Allah ! Vous n’avez pas d’autre divinité en dehors de Lui. Ne Le craignez-vous pas ?"

23:33

وَقَالَ And said ٱلْمَلَأُ the chiefs مِن of قَوْمِهِ his people ٱلَّذِينَ who كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieved وَكَذَّبُوا۟ and denied بِلِقَآءِ (the) meeting ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ (of) the Hereafter وَأَتْرَفْنَـٰهُمْ while We had given them luxury فِى in ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ the life ٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the world مَا Not هَـٰذَآ (is) this إِلَّا but بَشَرٌۭ a man مِّثْلُكُمْ like you يَأْكُلُ He eats مِمَّا of what تَأْكُلُونَ you eat مِنْهُ [from it] وَيَشْرَبُ and he drinks مِمَّا of what تَشْرَبُونَ you drink ٣٣ (33)

Les notables de son peuple qui avaient mécru et traité de mensonge la rencontre de l’au-delà, et auxquels Nous avions accordé le luxe dans la vie présente, dirent : "Celui-ci n’est qu’un être humain comme vous, mangeant de ce que vous mangez, et buvant de ce que vous buvez.

23:34

وَلَئِنْ And surely if أَطَعْتُم you obey بَشَرًۭا a man مِّثْلَكُمْ like you إِنَّكُمْ indeed, you إِذًۭا then لَّخَـٰسِرُونَ surely (will be) losers ٣٤ (34)

Si vous obéissez à un homme comme vous, vous serez alors perdants.

23:35

أَيَعِدُكُمْ Does he promise you أَنَّكُمْ that you إِذَا when مِتُّمْ you are dead وَكُنتُمْ and you become تُرَابًۭا dust وَعِظَـٰمًا and bones أَنَّكُم that you مُّخْرَجُونَ (will be) brought forth ٣٥ (35)

Vous promet-il, quand vous serez morts, et devenus poussière et ossements, que vous serez sortis [de vos sépulcres] ?

23:36

۞ هَيْهَاتَ Far-(fetched) هَيْهَاتَ far-(fetched) لِمَا is what تُوعَدُونَ you are promised ٣٦ (36)

Chimères, rien que des chimères ce que l'on vous promet!

23:37

إِنْ Not هِىَ it إِلَّا (is) but حَيَاتُنَا our life ٱلدُّنْيَا (of) the world نَمُوتُ we die وَنَحْيَا and we live وَمَا and not نَحْنُ we بِمَبْعُوثِينَ (will be) resurrected ٣٧ (37)

Ce n’est là que notre vie présente: nous mourons et nous vivons ; et nous ne serons jamais ressuscités.

23:38

إِنْ Not هُوَ (is) he إِلَّا but رَجُلٌ a man ٱفْتَرَىٰ who (has) invented عَلَى about ٱللَّهِ Allah كَذِبًۭا a lie وَمَا and not نَحْنُ we لَهُۥ (in) him بِمُؤْمِنِينَ (are) believers ٣٨ (38)

Ce n’est qu’un homme qui forge un mensonge contre Allah ; et nous ne croirons pas en lui."

23:39

قَالَ He said رَبِّ My Lord ٱنصُرْنِى Help me بِمَا because كَذَّبُونِ they deny me ٣٩ (39)

Il dit : "Seigneur ! Apporte-moi secours parce qu’ils me traitent de menteur."

23:40

قَالَ He said عَمَّا After a little while قَلِيلٍۢ After a little while لَّيُصْبِحُنَّ surely they will become نَـٰدِمِينَ regretful ٤٠ (40)

[Allah] dit : "Oui, bientôt ils en viendront aux regrets."

23:41

فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ So seized them ٱلصَّيْحَةُ the awful cry بِٱلْحَقِّ in truth فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمْ and We made them غُثَآءًۭ ۚ (as) rubbish of dead leaves فَبُعْدًۭا So away لِّلْقَوْمِ with the people ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ the wrongdoers ٤١ (41)

Le Cri, donc, les saisit en toute justice ; puis Nous les rendîmes semblables à des débris emportés par le torrent. Que disparaissent à jamais les injustes !

23:42

ثُمَّ Then أَنشَأْنَا We produced مِنۢ after them بَعْدِهِمْ after them قُرُونًا a generation ءَاخَرِينَ another ٤٢ (42)

Puis après eux Nous avons créé d’autres générations.

23:43

مَا Not تَسْبِقُ can precede مِنْ any أُمَّةٍ nation أَجَلَهَا its term وَمَا and not يَسْتَـْٔخِرُونَ they (can) delay (it) ٤٣ (43)

Nulle communauté ne peut avancer ni reculer son terme.

23:44

ثُمَّ Then أَرْسَلْنَا We sent رُسُلَنَا Our Messengers تَتْرَا ۖ (in) succession كُلَّ Every time مَا Every time جَآءَ came أُمَّةًۭ (to) a nation رَّسُولُهَا its Messenger كَذَّبُوهُ ۚ they denied him فَأَتْبَعْنَا so We made (them) follow بَعْضَهُم some of them بَعْضًۭا others وَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمْ and We made them أَحَادِيثَ ۚ narrations فَبُعْدًۭا So away لِّقَوْمٍۢ with a people لَّا not يُؤْمِنُونَ they believe ٤٤ (44)

Ensuite, Nous envoyâmes successivement Nos Messagers. Chaque fois qu’un Messager se présentait à sa communauté, ils le traitaient de menteur. Et Nous les fîmes succéder les unes aux autres [dans la destruction], et Nous en fîmes des thèmes de récits légendaires. Que disparaissent à jamais les gens qui ne croient pas !

23:45

ثُمَّ Then أَرْسَلْنَا We sent مُوسَىٰ Musa وَأَخَاهُ and his brother هَـٰرُونَ Harun بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا with Our Signs وَسُلْطَـٰنٍۢ and an authority مُّبِينٍ clear ٤٥ (45)

Ensuite, Nous envoyâmes Moïse et son frère Aaron avec Nos prodiges et une preuve évidente,

23:46

إِلَىٰ To فِرْعَوْنَ Firaun وَمَلَإِي۟هِۦ and his chiefs فَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ but they behaved arrogantly وَكَانُوا۟ and they were قَوْمًا a people عَالِينَ haughty ٤٦ (46)

vers Pharaon et ses notables mais ceux-ci s’enflèrent d’orgueil : ils étaient des gens hautains.

23:47

فَقَالُوٓا۟ Then they said أَنُؤْمِنُ Shall we believe لِبَشَرَيْنِ (in) two men مِثْلِنَا like ourselves وَقَوْمُهُمَا while their people لَنَا for us عَـٰبِدُونَ (are) slaves ٤٧ (47)

Ils dirent : "Croirons-nous en deux hommes comme nous dont les congénères sont nos esclaves.

23:48

فَكَذَّبُوهُمَا So they denied them فَكَانُوا۟ and they became مِنَ of ٱلْمُهْلَكِينَ those who were destroyed ٤٨ (48)

Ils les traitèrent [tous deux] de menteurs, ils furent donc parmi les anéantis.

23:49

وَلَقَدْ And verily ءَاتَيْنَا We gave مُوسَى Musa ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ the Scripture لَعَلَّهُمْ so that they may يَهْتَدُونَ be guided ٤٩ (49)

Et Nous avions apporté le Livre à Moïse afin qu’ils se guident.

23:50

وَجَعَلْنَا And We made ٱبْنَ (the) son مَرْيَمَ (of) Maryam وَأُمَّهُۥٓ and his mother ءَايَةًۭ a Sign وَءَاوَيْنَـٰهُمَآ and We sheltered them إِلَىٰ to رَبْوَةٍۢ a high ground ذَاتِ of tranquility قَرَارٍۢ of tranquility وَمَعِينٍۢ and water springs ٥٠ (50)

Et Nous fîmes du fils de Marie, ainsi que de sa mère, un prodige; et Nous donnâmes à tous deux asile sur une colline bien stable et dotée d’une source.

23:51

يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا O Messengers ٱلرُّسُلُ O Messengers كُلُوا۟ Eat مِنَ of ٱلطَّيِّبَـٰتِ the good things وَٱعْمَلُوا۟ and do صَـٰلِحًا ۖ righteous (deeds) إِنِّى Indeed, I Am بِمَا of what تَعْمَلُونَ you do عَلِيمٌۭ All-Knower ٥١ (51)

"Ô Messagers ! Mangez de ce qui est permis et agréable et faites du bien. Car Je sais parfaitement ce que vous faites.

23:52

وَإِنَّ And indeed هَـٰذِهِۦٓ this أُمَّتُكُمْ your religion أُمَّةًۭ (is) religion وَٰحِدَةًۭ one وَأَنَا۠ And I Am رَبُّكُمْ your Lord فَٱتَّقُونِ so fear Me ٥٢ (52)

Et cette communauté, la vôtre, est une seule communauté, tandis que Je suis votre Seigneur. Craignez-Moi donc."

23:53

فَتَقَطَّعُوٓا۟ But they cut off أَمْرَهُم their affair (of unity) بَيْنَهُمْ between them زُبُرًۭا ۖ (into) sects كُلُّ each حِزْبٍۭ faction بِمَا in what لَدَيْهِمْ they have فَرِحُونَ rejoicing ٥٣ (53)

Mais ils se sont divisés en sectes, chaque secte exultant ce qu’elle détenait.

23:54

فَذَرْهُمْ So leave them فِى in غَمْرَتِهِمْ their confusion حَتَّىٰ until حِينٍ a time ٥٤ (54)

Laisse-les dans leur errement pour un certain temps.

23:55

أَيَحْسَبُونَ Do they think أَنَّمَا that what نُمِدُّهُم We extend to them بِهِۦ [with it] مِن of مَّالٍۢ wealth وَبَنِينَ and children ٥٥ (55)

Pensent-ils que ce que Nous leur accordons, en biens et en enfants,

23:56

نُسَارِعُ We hasten لَهُمْ to them فِى in ٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ ۚ the good بَل Nay لَّا not يَشْعُرُونَ they perceive ٥٦ (56)

[soit une avance] que Nous Nous empressons de leur faire sur les biens [de la vie future]? Au contraire, ils n’en sont pas conscients.

23:57

إِنَّ Indeed ٱلَّذِينَ those who هُم [they] مِّنْ from خَشْيَةِ (the) fear رَبِّهِم (of) their Lord مُّشْفِقُونَ (are) cautious ٥٧ (57)

Ceux qui, de la crainte de leur Seigneur, sont pénétrés,

23:58

وَٱلَّذِينَ And those هُم [they] بِـَٔايَـٰتِ in (the) Signs رَبِّهِمْ (of) their Lord يُؤْمِنُونَ believe ٥٨ (58)

(et ceux) qui croient aux versets de leur Seigneur,

23:59

وَٱلَّذِينَ And those هُم [they] بِرَبِّهِمْ with their Lord لَا (do) not يُشْرِكُونَ associate partners ٥٩ (59)

(et ceux) qui n’associent rien à leur Seigneur,

23:60

وَٱلَّذِينَ And those who يُؤْتُونَ give مَآ what ءَاتَوا۟ they give وَّقُلُوبُهُمْ while their hearts وَجِلَةٌ (are) fearful أَنَّهُمْ because they إِلَىٰ to رَبِّهِمْ their Lord رَٰجِعُونَ (will) return ٦٠ (60)

(et ceux) qui donnent ce qu’ils donnent, tandis que leurs cœurs sont emplis de crainte [à la pensée] qu’ils doivent retourner à leur Seigneur.

23:61

أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ (It is) those يُسَـٰرِعُونَ who hasten فِى in ٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ the good (deeds) وَهُمْ and they لَهَا in them سَـٰبِقُونَ (are) foremost ٦١ (61)

Ceux-là se précipitent vers les bonnes actions et sont les premiers à les accomplir.

23:62

وَلَا And not نُكَلِّفُ We burden نَفْسًا any soul إِلَّا except وُسْعَهَا ۖ (to) its capacity وَلَدَيْنَا and with Us كِتَـٰبٌۭ (is) a Record يَنطِقُ (which) speaks بِٱلْحَقِّ ۚ with the truth وَهُمْ and they لَا (will) not يُظْلَمُونَ be wronged ٦٢ (62)

Nous n’imposons à personne que selon sa capacité. Et auprès de Nous existe un Livre qui dit la vérité, et ils ne seront pas lésés.

23:63

بَلْ Nay قُلُوبُهُمْ their hearts فِى (are) in غَمْرَةٍۢ confusion مِّنْ over هَـٰذَا this وَلَهُمْ and for them أَعْمَـٰلٌۭ (are) deeds مِّن besides دُونِ besides ذَٰلِكَ that هُمْ they لَهَا for it عَـٰمِلُونَ (are) doers ٦٣ (63)

Mais leurs cœurs restent dans l’ignorance à l’égard de cela [le Coran]. [En outre] ils ont d’autres actes (vils) qu’ils accomplissent,

23:64

حَتَّىٰٓ Until إِذَآ when أَخَذْنَا We seize مُتْرَفِيهِم their affluent ones بِٱلْعَذَابِ with the punishment إِذَا behold هُمْ They يَجْـَٔرُونَ cry for help ٦٤ (64)

jusqu’à ce que par le châtiment Nous saisissions les plus aisés parmi eux et voilà qu’ils crient au secours.

23:65

لَا (Do) not تَجْـَٔرُوا۟ cry for help ٱلْيَوْمَ ۖ today إِنَّكُم Indeed, you مِّنَّا from Us لَا not تُنصَرُونَ will be helped ٦٥ (65)

"Ne criez pas aujourd’hui ! Nul ne vous protégera contre Nous.

23:66

قَدْ Verily كَانَتْ were ءَايَـٰتِى My Verses تُتْلَىٰ recited عَلَيْكُمْ to you فَكُنتُمْ but you used عَلَىٰٓ (to) on أَعْقَـٰبِكُمْ your heels تَنكِصُونَ turn back ٦٦ (66)

Mes versets vous étaient récités auparavant ; mais vous vous [en] détourniez,

23:67

مُسْتَكْبِرِينَ (Being) arrogant بِهِۦ about it سَـٰمِرًۭا conversing by night تَهْجُرُونَ speaking evil ٦٧ (67)

enflant d’orgueil, et vous les dénigriez au cours de vos veillées."

23:68

أَفَلَمْ Then, do not يَدَّبَّرُوا۟ they ponder ٱلْقَوْلَ the Word أَمْ or جَآءَهُم has come to them مَّا what لَمْ not يَأْتِ (had) come ءَابَآءَهُمُ (to) their forefathers ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ (to) their forefathers ٦٨ (68)

Ne méditent-ils donc pas sur la parole (le Coran) ? Ou est-ce que leur est venu ce qui n’est jamais venu à leurs premiers ancêtres ?

23:69

أَمْ Or لَمْ (do) not يَعْرِفُوا۟ they recognize رَسُولَهُمْ their Messenger فَهُمْ so they لَهُۥ (are) rejecting him مُنكِرُونَ (are) rejecting him ٦٩ (69)

Ou n’ont-ils pas connu leur Messager, au point de le renier ?

23:70

أَمْ Or يَقُولُونَ they say بِهِۦ In him جِنَّةٌۢ ۚ (is) madness بَلْ Nay جَآءَهُم he brought them بِٱلْحَقِّ the truth وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ but most of them لِلْحَقِّ to the truth كَـٰرِهُونَ (are) averse ٧٠ (70)

Ou diront-ils : "Il est fou ?" Au contraire, c’est la vérité qu’il leur a apportée. Et la plupart d’entre eux dédaignent la vérité.

23:71

وَلَوِ But if ٱتَّبَعَ (had) followed ٱلْحَقُّ the truth أَهْوَآءَهُمْ their desires لَفَسَدَتِ surely (would) have been corrupted ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتُ the heavens وَٱلْأَرْضُ and the earth وَمَن and whoever فِيهِنَّ ۚ (is) therein بَلْ Nay أَتَيْنَـٰهُم We have brought them بِذِكْرِهِمْ their reminder فَهُمْ but they عَن from ذِكْرِهِم their reminder مُّعْرِضُونَ (are) turning away ٧١ (71)

Si la vérité était conforme à leurs passions, les cieux et la Terre et ceux qui s’y trouvent seraient, certes, corrompus. Au contraire, Nous leur avons donné leur rappel mais ils s’en détournent.

23:72

أَمْ Or تَسْـَٔلُهُمْ you ask them خَرْجًۭا (for) a payment فَخَرَاجُ But the payment رَبِّكَ (of) your Lord خَيْرٌۭ ۖ (is) best وَهُوَ and He خَيْرُ (is) the Best ٱلرَّٰزِقِينَ (of) the Providers ٧٢ (72)

Ou leur demandes-tu une rétribution ? Mais la rétribution de ton Seigneur est meilleure. Et c’est Lui, le Meilleur des pourvoyeurs.

23:73

وَإِنَّكَ And indeed, you لَتَدْعُوهُمْ certainly call them إِلَىٰ to صِرَٰطٍۢ (the) Path مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ Straight ٧٣ (73)

Et tu les appelles, certes, vers le droit chemin.

23:74

وَإِنَّ And indeed ٱلَّذِينَ those who لَا (do) not يُؤْمِنُونَ believe بِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ in the Hereafter عَنِ from ٱلصِّرَٰطِ the path لَنَـٰكِبُونَ surely (are) deviating ٧٤ (74)

Or, ceux qui ne croient pas à l’au-delà sont bien écartés de ce chemin.

23:75

۞ وَلَوْ And if رَحِمْنَـٰهُمْ We had mercy on them وَكَشَفْنَا and We removed مَا what بِهِم (was) on them مِّن of ضُرٍّۢ (the) hardship لَّلَجُّوا۟ surely they would persist فِى in طُغْيَـٰنِهِمْ their transgression يَعْمَهُونَ wandering blindly ٧٥ (75)

Et si Nous leur faisions miséricorde et écartions d’eux le mal, ils persisteraient certainement dans leur transgression, confus et hésitants.

23:76

وَلَقَدْ And verily أَخَذْنَـٰهُم We seized them بِٱلْعَذَابِ with the punishment فَمَا but not ٱسْتَكَانُوا۟ they submit لِرَبِّهِمْ to their Lord وَمَا and not يَتَضَرَّعُونَ they supplicate humbly ٧٦ (76)

Et Nous leur avons infligé de Notre châtiment (la famine), mais ils ne sont pas soumis pour autant à leur Seigneur, ni ne l'ont imploré,

23:77

حَتَّىٰٓ Until إِذَا when فَتَحْنَا We opened عَلَيْهِم for them بَابًۭا a gate ذَا of a punishment عَذَابٍۢ of a punishment شَدِيدٍ severe إِذَا behold هُمْ They فِيهِ in it مُبْلِسُونَ (will be in) despair ٧٧ (77)

jusqu'au jour où Nous ouvrirons sur eux une porte au dur châtiment. Là, ils s'y trouveront désemparés.

23:78

وَهُوَ And He ٱلَّذِىٓ (is) the One Who أَنشَأَ produced لَكُمُ for you ٱلسَّمْعَ the hearing وَٱلْأَبْصَـٰرَ and the sight وَٱلْأَفْـِٔدَةَ ۚ and the feeling قَلِيلًۭا little مَّا (is) what تَشْكُرُونَ you give thanks ٧٨ (78)

Et c’est Lui qui a créé pour vous l’ouïe, les yeux et les cœurs. Mais vous êtes rarement reconnaissants.

23:79

وَهُوَ And He ٱلَّذِى (is) the One Who ذَرَأَكُمْ multiplied you فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth وَإِلَيْهِ and to Him تُحْشَرُونَ you will be gathered ٧٩ (79)

C’est Lui qui vous a répandus sur la Terre, et c’est vers Lui que vous serez rassemblés.

23:80

وَهُوَ And He ٱلَّذِى (is) the One Who يُحْىِۦ gives life وَيُمِيتُ and causes death وَلَهُ and for Him ٱخْتِلَـٰفُ (is the) alternation ٱلَّيْلِ (of) the night وَٱلنَّهَارِ ۚ and the day أَفَلَا Then will not تَعْقِلُونَ you reason ٨٠ (80)

Et c’est Lui qui donne la vie et qui donne la mort; et l’alternance de la nuit et du jour dépend de Lui. Ne raisonnerez-vous donc pas ?

23:81

بَلْ Nay قَالُوا۟ they say مِثْلَ (the) like مَا (of) what قَالَ said ٱلْأَوَّلُونَ the former (people) ٨١ (81)

Ils ont plutôt tenu les mêmes propos que les Anciens.

23:82

قَالُوٓا۟ They said أَءِذَا What! When مِتْنَا we are dead وَكُنَّا and become تُرَابًۭا dust وَعِظَـٰمًا and bones أَءِنَّا would we لَمَبْعُوثُونَ surely be resurrected ٨٢ (82)

Ils ont dit : "Lorsque nous serons morts et que nous serons poussière et ossements, serons-nous vraiment ressuscités ?

23:83

لَقَدْ Verily وُعِدْنَا we have been promised نَحْنُ [we] وَءَابَآؤُنَا and our forefathers هَـٰذَا this مِن before قَبْلُ before إِنْ not هَـٰذَآ (is) this إِلَّآ but أَسَـٰطِيرُ (the) tales ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ (of) the former (people) ٨٣ (83)

On nous a promis cela, ainsi qu’à nos ancêtres auparavant; ce ne sont que de vieilles sornettes."

23:84

قُل Say لِّمَنِ To whom (belongs) ٱلْأَرْضُ the earth وَمَن and whoever فِيهَآ (is) in it إِن if كُنتُمْ you تَعْلَمُونَ know ٨٤ (84)

Dis : "A qui appartient la terre et ceux qui y sont? si vous savez."

23:85

سَيَقُولُونَ They will say لِلَّهِ ۚ To Allah قُلْ Say أَفَلَا Then will not تَذَكَّرُونَ you remember ٨٥ (85)

Ils diront: "À Allah". Dis : "Ne vous souvenez-vous donc pas?"

23:86

قُلْ Say مَن Who رَّبُّ (is the) Lord ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ (of) the seven heavens ٱلسَّبْعِ (of) the seven heavens وَرَبُّ and (the) Lord ٱلْعَرْشِ (of) the Throne ٱلْعَظِيمِ the Great ٨٦ (86)

Dis : "Qui est le Seigneur des sept cieux et le Seigneur du Trône sublime ?"

23:87

سَيَقُولُونَ They will say لِلَّهِ ۚ Allah قُلْ Say أَفَلَا Then will not تَتَّقُونَ you fear (Him) ٨٧ (87)

Ils diront: [ils appartiennent] "A Allah". Dis: "Ne craignez-vous donc pas?"

23:88

قُلْ Say مَنۢ Who is (it) بِيَدِهِۦ in Whose Hand(s) مَلَكُوتُ (is the) dominion كُلِّ (of) all شَىْءٍۢ things وَهُوَ and He يُجِيرُ protects وَلَا and no (one) يُجَارُ (can) be protected عَلَيْهِ against Him إِن If كُنتُمْ you تَعْلَمُونَ know ٨٨ (88)

Dis : "Qui détient dans sa main la royauté absolue de toute chose, et qui protège et n’a pas besoin d’être protégé ? [Dites], si vous le savez !"

23:89

سَيَقُولُونَ They will say لِلَّهِ ۚ Allah قُلْ Say فَأَنَّىٰ Then how تُسْحَرُونَ are you deluded ٨٩ (89)

Ils diront: "Allah". Dis: "Comment donc se fait-il que vous soyez ensorcelés?" ( au point de ne pas croire en Lui].

23:90

بَلْ Nay أَتَيْنَـٰهُم We (have) brought them بِٱلْحَقِّ the truth وَإِنَّهُمْ but indeed, they لَكَـٰذِبُونَ surely, (are) liars ٩٠ (90)

Nous leur avons plutôt apporté la vérité et ils sont assurément des menteurs.

23:91

مَا Not ٱتَّخَذَ Allah has taken ٱللَّهُ Allah has taken مِن any وَلَدٍۢ son وَمَا and not كَانَ is مَعَهُۥ with Him مِنْ any إِلَـٰهٍ ۚ god إِذًۭا Then لَّذَهَبَ surely (would have) taken away كُلُّ each إِلَـٰهٍۭ god بِمَا what خَلَقَ he created وَلَعَلَا and surely would have overpowered بَعْضُهُمْ some of them عَلَىٰ [on] بَعْضٍۢ ۚ others سُبْحَـٰنَ Glory be ٱللَّهِ (to) Allah عَمَّا above what يَصِفُونَ they attribute ٩١ (91)

Allah ne S’est point attribué d’enfant et il n’existe point de divinité avec Lui ; sinon, chaque divinité s’en irait avec ce qu’elle a créé et certaines seraient supérieures aux autres. Gloire à Allah ! Il est bien au-dessus de tout ce qu’ils décrivent.

23:92

عَـٰلِمِ Knower ٱلْغَيْبِ (of) the unseen وَٱلشَّهَـٰدَةِ and the witnessed فَتَعَـٰلَىٰ exalted is He عَمَّا above what يُشْرِكُونَ they associate ٩٢ (92)

[Il est] Connaisseur de toute chose visible et invisible ! Il est bien au-dessus de ce qu’ils [Lui] associent !

23:93

قُل Say رَّبِّ My Lord إِمَّا If تُرِيَنِّى You should show me مَا what يُوعَدُونَ they are promised ٩٣ (93)

Dis : "Seigneur, si jamais Tu me montres ce qui leur est promis ;

23:94

رَبِّ My Lord فَلَا then (do) not تَجْعَلْنِى place me فِى among ٱلْقَوْمِ the people ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ the wrongdoers ٩٤ (94)

alors, Seigneur, ne me place pas parmi les gens injustes !

23:95

وَإِنَّا And indeed We عَلَىٰٓ on أَن that نُّرِيَكَ We show you مَا what نَعِدُهُمْ We have promised them لَقَـٰدِرُونَ surely able ٩٥ (95)

Nous sommes Capable, certes, de te montrer ce que Nous leur promettons.

23:96

ٱدْفَعْ Repel بِٱلَّتِى by that هِىَ which أَحْسَنُ (is) best ٱلسَّيِّئَةَ ۚ the evil نَحْنُ We أَعْلَمُ know best بِمَا of what يَصِفُونَ they attribute ٩٦ (96)

Repousse le mal par ce qui est meilleur. Nous savons très bien ce qu’ils décrivent.

23:97

وَقُل And say رَّبِّ My Lord أَعُوذُ I seek refuge بِكَ in You مِنْ from هَمَزَٰتِ (the) suggestions ٱلشَّيَـٰطِينِ (of) the evil ones ٩٧ (97)

Et dis : “Seigneur ! Je me réfugie en Toi contre les incitations des diables.

23:98

وَأَعُوذُ And I seek refuge بِكَ in You رَبِّ My Lord أَن Lest يَحْضُرُونِ they be present with me ٩٨ (98)

et je cherche Ta protection, Seigneur, contre leur présence auprès de moi."

23:99

حَتَّىٰٓ Until إِذَا when جَآءَ comes أَحَدَهُمُ (to) one of them ٱلْمَوْتُ the death قَالَ he says رَبِّ My Lord ٱرْجِعُونِ Send me back ٩٩ (99)

Puis, lorsque la mort vient à l’un deux, il dit : "Seigneur ! Fais-moi revenir (sur Terre),

23:100

لَعَلِّىٓ That I may أَعْمَلُ do صَـٰلِحًۭا righteous (deeds) فِيمَا in what تَرَكْتُ ۚ I left behind كَلَّآ ۚ No إِنَّهَا Indeed, it كَلِمَةٌ (is) a word هُوَ he قَآئِلُهَا ۖ speaks it وَمِن and before them وَرَآئِهِم and before them بَرْزَخٌ (is) a barrier إِلَىٰ till يَوْمِ (the) Day يُبْعَثُونَ they are resurrected ١٠٠ (100)

afin que je fasse du bien dans ce que je délaissais." Non, c’est simplement une parole qu’il dit. Derrière eux, cependant, il y a une barrière, jusqu’au jour où ils seront ressuscités."

23:101

فَإِذَا So when نُفِخَ is blown فِى in ٱلصُّورِ the trumpet فَلَآ then not أَنسَابَ (there) will be relationship بَيْنَهُمْ among them يَوْمَئِذٍۢ that Day وَلَا and not يَتَسَآءَلُونَ will they ask each other ١٠١ (101)

Et lorsqu'on soufflera dans la Trompe, alors il n’y aura plus de parenté entre eux ce jour-là, et ils ne se poseront pas de questions.

23:102

فَمَن Then (the one) whose ثَقُلَتْ (are) heavy مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ his scales فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ then those هُمُ they ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ (are) the successful ١٠٢ (102)

Ceux dont la balance sera lourde seront les bienheureux.

23:103

وَمَنْ But (the one) whose خَفَّتْ (are) light مَوَٰزِينُهُۥ his scales فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ then those ٱلَّذِينَ they [who] خَسِرُوٓا۟ have lost أَنفُسَهُمْ their souls فِى in جَهَنَّمَ Hell خَـٰلِدُونَ they (will) abide forever ١٠٣ (103)

et ceux dont la balance sera légère seront ceux qui auront ruiné leurs propres âmes et ils demeureront éternellement dans l’Enfer.

23:104

تَلْفَحُ Will burn وُجُوهَهُمُ their faces ٱلنَّارُ the Fire وَهُمْ and they فِيهَا in it كَـٰلِحُونَ (will) grin with displaced lips ١٠٤ (104)

Le Feu brûlera leurs visages et ils auront les lèvres crispées.

23:105

أَلَمْ Were not تَكُنْ Were not ءَايَـٰتِى My Verses تُتْلَىٰ recited عَلَيْكُمْ to you فَكُنتُم and you used (to) بِهَا deny them تُكَذِّبُونَ deny them ١٠٥ (105)

"Mes versets ne vous étaient-ils pas récités et vous les traitiez alors de mensonges ?"

23:106

قَالُوا۟ They (will) say رَبَّنَا Our Lord غَلَبَتْ Overcame عَلَيْنَا [on] us شِقْوَتُنَا our wretchedness وَكُنَّا and we were قَوْمًۭا a people ضَآلِّينَ astray ١٠٦ (106)

Ils diront : "Notre Seigneur ! Notre malheur nous a vaincus, et nous étions des gens égarés.

23:107

رَبَّنَآ Our Lord أَخْرِجْنَا Bring us out مِنْهَا from it فَإِنْ then if عُدْنَا we return فَإِنَّا then indeed, we ظَـٰلِمُونَ (would be) wrongdoers ١٠٧ (107)

Notre Seigneur, fais-nous-en sortir ! Et si nous récidivons, nous serons alors des injustes."

23:108

قَالَ He (will) say ٱخْسَـُٔوا۟ Remain despised فِيهَا in it وَلَا and (do) not تُكَلِّمُونِ speak to Me ١٠٨ (108)

Il dit : "Soyez-y refoulés (humiliés) et ne Me parlez plus !"

23:109

إِنَّهُۥ Indeed كَانَ (there) was فَرِيقٌۭ a party مِّنْ of عِبَادِى My slaves يَقُولُونَ (who) said رَبَّنَآ Our Lord ءَامَنَّا We believe فَٱغْفِرْ so forgive لَنَا us وَٱرْحَمْنَا and have mercy on us وَأَنتَ and You خَيْرُ (are) best ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ (of) those who show mercy ١٠٩ (109)

Il y avait un groupe de Mes serviteurs qui disaient : “Notre Seigneur ! Nous croyons ! Pardonne-nous donc et fais-nous miséricorde, car Tu es le meilleur des Miséricordieux.” ;

23:110

فَٱتَّخَذْتُمُوهُمْ But you took them سِخْرِيًّا (in) mockery حَتَّىٰٓ until أَنسَوْكُمْ they made you forget ذِكْرِى My remembrance وَكُنتُم and you used (to) مِّنْهُمْ at them تَضْحَكُونَ laugh ١١٠ (110)

mais vous les avez pris en raillerie jusqu’à oublier de M’invoquer, et vous vous riiez d’eux.

23:111

إِنِّى Indeed, I جَزَيْتُهُمُ have rewarded them ٱلْيَوْمَ this Day بِمَا because صَبَرُوٓا۟ they were patient أَنَّهُمْ indeed, they هُمُ [they] ٱلْفَآئِزُونَ (are) the successful ones ١١١ (111)

Vraiment, Je les ai récompensés aujourd’hui pour ce qu’ils ont enduré; et ce sont eux les triomphants.

23:112

قَـٰلَ He will say كَمْ How long لَبِثْتُمْ did you remain فِى in ٱلْأَرْضِ the earth عَدَدَ (in) number سِنِينَ (of) years ١١٢ (112)

Il dira : "Combien d’années êtes-vous restés sur Terre ?"

23:113

قَالُوا۟ They will say لَبِثْنَا We remained يَوْمًا a day أَوْ or بَعْضَ a part يَوْمٍۢ (of) a day فَسْـَٔلِ but ask ٱلْعَآدِّينَ those who keep count ١١٣ (113)

Ils diront : "Nous y avons demeuré un jour, ou une partie d’un jour. Interroge donc ceux qui comptent."

23:114

قَـٰلَ He will say إِن Not لَّبِثْتُمْ you stayed إِلَّا but قَلِيلًۭا ۖ a little لَّوْ if أَنَّكُمْ only you كُنتُمْ [you] تَعْلَمُونَ knew ١١٤ (114)

Il dira : "Vous n’y avez demeuré que peu [de temps], si seulement vous saviez.

23:115

أَفَحَسِبْتُمْ Then did you think أَنَّمَا that خَلَقْنَـٰكُمْ We created you عَبَثًۭا uselessly وَأَنَّكُمْ and that you إِلَيْنَا to Us لَا not تُرْجَعُونَ will be returned ١١٥ (115)

Pensiez-vous que Nous vous avions créés sans but, et que vous ne seriez pas ramenés vers Nous ?"

23:116

فَتَعَـٰلَى So exalted is ٱللَّهُ Allah ٱلْمَلِكُ the King ٱلْحَقُّ ۖ the Truth لَآ (There is) no إِلَـٰهَ god إِلَّا except هُوَ Him رَبُّ (the) Lord ٱلْعَرْشِ (of) the Throne ٱلْكَرِيمِ Honorable ١١٦ (116)

Que soit exalté Allah, le vrai Souverain! Pas de divinité [véritable] en dehors de Lui, le Seigneur du Trône sublime !

23:117

وَمَن And whoever يَدْعُ invokes مَعَ with ٱللَّهِ Allah إِلَـٰهًا god ءَاخَرَ other لَا no بُرْهَـٰنَ proof لَهُۥ for him بِهِۦ in it فَإِنَّمَا Then only حِسَابُهُۥ his account عِندَ (is) with رَبِّهِۦٓ ۚ his Lord إِنَّهُۥ Indeed, [he] لَا not يُفْلِحُ will succeed ٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَ the disbelievers ١١٧ (117)

Et quiconque invoque avec Allah une autre divinité, sans avoir la preuve évidente [de son existence], aura à en rendre compte à son Seigneur. En vérité, les mécréants, ne réussiront pas.

23:118

وَقُل And say رَّبِّ My Lord ٱغْفِرْ Forgive وَٱرْحَمْ and have mercy وَأَنتَ and You خَيْرُ (are the) Best ٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ (of) those who show mercy ١١٨ (118)

Et dis : "Seigneur ! Pardonne et fais miséricorde ! C’est Toi le Meilleur des miséricordieux."
