ابراهيم

La sourate Ibrahim (ابراهيم) est le 14e chapitre du Saint Coran — une sourate Mecquoise de 52 versets. Les sourates mecquoises ont été révélées avant l'émigration du Prophète Muhammad (paix sur lui) à Médine et mettent souvent l'accent sur la foi, l'unicité de Dieu et l'au-delà.

بِسْمِIn (the) namebis'miٱللَّهِ(of) Allahl-lahiٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِthe Most Graciousl-raḥmāniٱلرَّحِيمِthe Most Mercifull-raḥīmi
Au nom d'Allah, le Tout Miséricordieux, le Très Miséricordieux
14:1
الٓر ۚAlif Laam Raalif-lam-raكِتَـٰبٌA Bookkitābunأَنزَلْنَـٰهُwhich We have revealedanzalnāhuإِلَيْكَto youilaykaلِتُخْرِجَso that you may bring outlitukh'rijaٱلنَّاسَthe mankindl-nāsaمِنَfromminaٱلظُّلُمَـٰتِthe darkness[es]l-ẓulumātiإِلَىtoilāٱلنُّورِthe lightl-nūriبِإِذْنِby the permissionbi-idh'niرَبِّهِمْ(of) their Lordrabbihimإِلَىٰtoilāصِرَٰطِthe Pathṣirāṭiٱلْعَزِيزِ(of) the All-Mightyl-ʿazīziٱلْحَمِيدِthe Praiseworthyl-ḥamīdi١
Alif, Lâm, Râ . (Voici) un livre que nous avons fait descendre sur toi, afin que - par la permission de leur Seigneur - tu fasses sortir les gens des ténèbres vers la lumière, sur la voie du Tout Puissant, du Digne de louange,
14:2
ٱللَّهِAllahal-lahiٱلَّذِى(is) the Onealladhīلَهُۥto Him (belongs)lahuمَاwhatevermāفِى(is) infīٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِthe heavensl-samāwātiوَمَاand whateverwamāفِى(is) infīٱلْأَرْضِ ۗthe earthl-arḍiوَوَيْلٌۭAnd woewawaylunلِّلْكَـٰفِرِينَto the disbelieverslil'kāfirīnaمِنْfromminعَذَابٍۢthe punishmentʿadhābinشَدِيدٍsevereshadīdin٢
Allah, à qui appartient tout ce qui est dans les cieux et sur la Terre. Et malheur aux mécréants, pour un dur châtiment [qu’ils subiront].
14:3
ٱلَّذِينَThose whoalladhīnaيَسْتَحِبُّونَlove moreyastaḥibbūnaٱلْحَيَوٰةَthe lifel-ḥayataٱلدُّنْيَا(of) the worldl-dun'yāعَلَىthanʿalāٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِthe Hereafterl-ākhiratiوَيَصُدُّونَand hinderwayaṣuddūnaعَنfromʿanسَبِيلِ(the) Pathsabīliٱللَّهِ(of) Allahl-lahiوَيَبْغُونَهَاand seek in itwayabghūnahāعِوَجًا ۚcrookednessʿiwajanأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَthoseulāikaفِى[in]fīضَلَـٰلٍۭ(are) far astrayḍalālinبَعِيدٍۢ(are) far astraybaʿīdin٣
Ceux qui préfèrent la vie d’ici-bas à l’au-delà, obstruent [aux gens], le chemin d’Allah et cherchent à le rendre tortueux, ceux-là sont loin dans l’égarement.
14:4
وَمَآAnd notwamāأَرْسَلْنَاWe sentarsalnāمِنanyminرَّسُولٍMessengerrasūlinإِلَّاexceptillāبِلِسَانِwith the languagebilisāniقَوْمِهِۦ(of) his peopleqawmihiلِيُبَيِّنَso that he might make clearliyubayyinaلَهُمْ ۖfor themlahumفَيُضِلُّThen Allah lets go astrayfayuḍilluٱللَّهُThen Allah lets go astrayl-lahuمَنwhommanيَشَآءُHe willsyashāuوَيَهْدِىand guideswayahdīمَنwhommanيَشَآءُ ۚHe willsyashāuوَهُوَAnd Hewahuwaٱلْعَزِيزُ(is) the All-Mightyl-ʿazīzuٱلْحَكِيمُthe All-Wisel-ḥakīmu٤
Et Nous n’avons envoyé de Messager qu’avec la langue de son peuple, afin de les éclairer. Allah égare qui Il veut et guide qui Il veut. Et, c’est Lui le Tout-Puissant, le Sage.
14:5
وَلَقَدْAnd verilywalaqadأَرْسَلْنَاWe sentarsalnāمُوسَىٰMusamūsāبِـَٔايَـٰتِنَآwith Our SignsbiāyātināأَنْthatanأَخْرِجْBring outakhrijقَوْمَكَyour peopleqawmakaمِنَfromminaٱلظُّلُمَـٰتِthe darkness[es]l-ẓulumātiإِلَىtoilāٱلنُّورِthe lightl-nūriوَذَكِّرْهُمAnd remind themwadhakkir'humبِأَيَّىٰمِof the daysbi-ayyāmiٱللَّهِ ۚ(of) Allahl-lahiإِنَّIndeedinnaفِىinfīذَٰلِكَthatdhālikaلَـَٔايَـٰتٍۢsurely (are) the signslaāyātinلِّكُلِّfor everyonelikulliصَبَّارٍۢpatientṣabbārinشَكُورٍۢand thankfulshakūrin٥
Nous avons certes, envoyé Moïse avec Nos signes [en lui disant] : "Fais sortir ton peuple des ténèbres vers la lumière, et rappelle-leur les jours d’Allah !" [Ses bienfaits] Dans tout cela, il y a des signes pour tout homme plein d’endurance et de reconnaissance.
14:6
وَإِذْAnd whenwa-idhقَالَsaidqālaمُوسَىٰMusamūsāلِقَوْمِهِto his peopleliqawmihiٱذْكُرُوا۟Rememberudh'kurūنِعْمَةَ(the) Favor of Allahniʿ'mataٱللَّهِ(the) Favor of Allahl-lahiعَلَيْكُمْupon youʿalaykumإِذْwhenidhأَنجَىٰكُمHe saved youanjākumمِّنْfromminءَالِ(the) peopleāliفِرْعَوْنَ(of) Firaunfir'ʿawnaيَسُومُونَكُمْthey were afflicting youyasūmūnakumسُوٓءَ(with) evilsūaٱلْعَذَابِtormentl-ʿadhābiوَيُذَبِّحُونَand were slaughteringwayudhabbiḥūnaأَبْنَآءَكُمْyour sonsabnāakumوَيَسْتَحْيُونَand letting livewayastaḥyūnaنِسَآءَكُمْ ۚyour womennisāakumوَفِىAnd inwafīذَٰلِكُمthatdhālikumبَلَآءٌۭ(was) a trialbalāonمِّنfromminرَّبِّكُمْyour Lordrabbikumعَظِيمٌۭgreatʿaẓīmun٦
Et (Rappelle-toi) quand Moïse dit à son peuple : "Rappelez- vous le bienfait d’Allah sur vous quand Il vous sauva des gens de Pharaon qui vous infligeaient le pire châtiment. Ils massacraient vos fils et laissaient en vie vos filles. Il y avait là une dure épreuve de la part de votre Seigneur !"
14:7
وَإِذْAnd whenwa-idhتَأَذَّنَproclaimedta-adhanaرَبُّكُمْyour LordrabbukumلَئِنIfla-inشَكَرْتُمْyou are thankfulshakartumلَأَزِيدَنَّكُمْ ۖsurely I will increase youla-azīdannakumوَلَئِنbut ifwala-inكَفَرْتُمْyou are ungratefulkafartumإِنَّindeedinnaعَذَابِىMy punishmentʿadhābīلَشَدِيدٌۭ(is) surely severelashadīdun٧
Et lorsque votre Seigneur proclama : "Si vous êtes reconnaissants, très certainement J’augmenterai [Mes bienfaits] pour vous. Mais si vous êtes ingrats , alors Mon châtiment sera terrible !"
14:8
وَقَالَAnd saidwaqālaمُوسَىٰٓMusamūsāإِنIfinتَكْفُرُوٓا۟you disbelievetakfurūأَنتُمْyouantumوَمَنand whoeverwamanفِى(is) infīٱلْأَرْضِthe earthl-arḍiجَمِيعًۭاalljamīʿanفَإِنَّthen indeedfa-innaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaلَغَنِىٌّcertainly (is) Free of needlaghaniyyunحَمِيدٌPraiseworthyḥamīdun٨
Et Moïse dit : "Si vous êtes ingrats, vous ainsi que tous ceux qui sont sur Terre, [sachez] qu’Allah Se suffit à Lui-même et qu’Il est digne de louange."
14:9
أَلَمْHas notalamيَأْتِكُمْcome to youyatikumنَبَؤُا۟(the) newsnaba-uٱلَّذِينَ(of) those whoalladhīnaمِن(were) before youminقَبْلِكُمْ(were) before youqablikumقَوْمِthe peopleqawmiنُوحٍۢof Nuhnūḥinوَعَادٍۢand Aadwaʿādinوَثَمُودَ ۛand Thamudwathamūdaوَٱلَّذِينَand those whowa-alladhīnaمِنۢ(were) after themminبَعْدِهِمْ ۛ(were) after thembaʿdihimلَاNonelāيَعْلَمُهُمْknows themyaʿlamuhumإِلَّاexceptillāٱللَّهُ ۚAllahl-lahuجَآءَتْهُمْCame to themjāathumرُسُلُهُمtheir Messengersrusuluhumبِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِwith clear proofsbil-bayinātiفَرَدُّوٓا۟but they returnedfaraddūأَيْدِيَهُمْtheir handsaydiyahumفِىٓinfīأَفْوَٰهِهِمْtheir mouthsafwāhihimوَقَالُوٓا۟and they saidwaqālūإِنَّاIndeed weinnāكَفَرْنَا[we] disbelievekafarnāبِمَآin whatbimāأُرْسِلْتُمyou have been sentur'sil'tumبِهِۦwith [it]bihiوَإِنَّاand indeed, wewa-innāلَفِى(are) surely inlafīشَكٍّۢdoubtshakkinمِّمَّاabout whatmimmāتَدْعُونَنَآyou invite ustadʿūnanāإِلَيْهِto itilayhiمُرِيبٍۢsuspiciousmurībin٩
Ne vous est-il pas parvenu le récit de ceux d’avant vous, du peuple de Noé, des 'Âd, des Thamûd et de ceux qui vécurent après eux, et que seul Allah connaît? Leurs Messagers vinrent à eux avec des preuves (évidentes), mais ils dirent, ramenant leurs mains à leurs bouches : "Nous ne croyons pas [au message] avec lequel vous avez été envoyés et nous sommes, au sujets de ce à quoi vous nous appelez, dans un doute vraiment troublant."
14:10
۞ قَالَتْSaidqālatرُسُلُهُمْtheir MessengersrusuluhumأَفِىCan (there) be aboutafīٱللَّهِAllahl-lahiشَكٌّۭany doubtshakkunفَاطِرِ(the) Creatorfāṭiriٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ(of) the heavensl-samāwātiوَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖand the earthwal-arḍiيَدْعُوكُمْHe invites youyadʿūkumلِيَغْفِرَso that He may forgiveliyaghfiraلَكُمfor youlakumمِّن[of]minذُنُوبِكُمْyour sinsdhunūbikumوَيُؤَخِّرَكُمْand give you respitewayu-akhirakumإِلَىٰٓforilāأَجَلٍۢa termajalinمُّسَمًّۭى ۚappointedmusammanقَالُوٓا۟They saidqālūإِنْNotinأَنتُمْyouantumإِلَّا(are) butillāبَشَرٌۭa humanbasharunمِّثْلُنَاlike usmith'lunāتُرِيدُونَyou wishturīdūnaأَنtoanتَصُدُّونَاhinder ustaṣuddūnāعَمَّاfrom whatʿammāكَانَused tokānaيَعْبُدُworshipyaʿbuduءَابَآؤُنَاour forefathersābāunāفَأْتُونَاSo bring usfatūnāبِسُلْطَـٰنٍۢan authoritybisul'ṭāninمُّبِينٍۢclearmubīnin١٠
Leurs Messagers dirent : "Y a-t-il un doute au sujet d’Allah, Créateur des cieux et de la Terre, qui vous appelle pour vous pardonner une partie de vos péchés et vous donner un délai jusqu’à un terme fixé ?" [Les mécréants] répondirent : "Vous n’êtes que des hommes comme nous. Vous voulez nous empêcher de ce que nos ancêtres adoraient ! Apportez-nous donc une preuve évidente !"
14:11
قَالَتْSaidqālatلَهُمْto themlahumرُسُلُهُمْtheir MessengersrusuluhumإِنNotinنَّحْنُwe (are)naḥnuإِلَّاbutillāبَشَرٌۭa humanbasharunمِّثْلُكُمْlike youmith'lukumوَلَـٰكِنَّbutwalākinnaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaيَمُنُّbestows His GraceyamunnuعَلَىٰonʿalāمَنwhommanيَشَآءُHe willsyashāuمِنْofminعِبَادِهِۦ ۖHis slavesʿibādihiوَمَاAnd notwamāكَانَiskānaلَنَآfor uslanāأَنthatanنَّأْتِيَكُمwe bring younatiyakumبِسُلْطَـٰنٍan authoritybisul'ṭāninإِلَّاexceptillāبِإِذْنِby the permission of Allahbi-idh'niٱللَّهِ ۚby the permission of Allahl-lahiوَعَلَىAnd uponwaʿalāٱللَّهِAllahl-lahiفَلْيَتَوَكَّلِso let put (their) trustfalyatawakkaliٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَthe believersl-mu'minūna١١
Leurs Messagers leur dirent : "Certes, nous ne sommes que des humains comme vous. Mais Allah favorise qui Il veut parmi Ses serviteurs. Il ne nous appartient de vous apporter quelque preuve, que par la permission d’Allah. Et c’est en Allah que les croyants doivent placer leur confiance.
14:12
وَمَاAnd whatwamāلَنَآ(is) for uslanāأَلَّاthat notallāنَتَوَكَّلَwe put our trustnatawakkalaعَلَىuponʿalāٱللَّهِAllahl-lahiوَقَدْwhile certainlywaqadهَدَىٰنَاHe has guided ushadānāسُبُلَنَا ۚto our wayssubulanāوَلَنَصْبِرَنَّAnd surely we will bear with patiencewalanaṣbirannaعَلَىٰonʿalāمَآwhatmāءَاذَيْتُمُونَا ۚharm you may cause usādhaytumūnāوَعَلَىAnd uponwaʿalāٱللَّهِAllahl-lahiفَلْيَتَوَكَّلِso let put (their) trustfalyatawakkaliٱلْمُتَوَكِّلُونَthe ones who put (their) trustl-mutawakilūna١٢
Et qu’aurions-nous à ne pas placer notre confiance en Allah, alors qu’Il nous a guidés sur les sentiers [que nous devions suivre] ? Nous endurerons sûrement la persécution que vous nous infligez. Et ceux qui ont confiance en Allah s’en remettent entièrement à Lui.”
14:13
وَقَالَAnd saidwaqālaٱلَّذِينَthose whoalladhīnaكَفَرُوا۟disbelievedkafarūلِرُسُلِهِمْto their MessengerslirusulihimلَنُخْرِجَنَّكُمSurely we will drive you outlanukh'rijannakumمِّنْofminأَرْضِنَآour landarḍināأَوْorawلَتَعُودُنَّsurely you should returnlataʿūdunnaفِىtofīمِلَّتِنَا ۖour religionmillatināفَأَوْحَىٰٓSo inspiredfa-awḥāإِلَيْهِمْto themilayhimرَبُّهُمْtheir LordrabbuhumلَنُهْلِكَنَّWe will surely destroylanuh'likannaٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَthe wrongdoersl-ẓālimīna١٣
Et ceux qui ont mécru dirent à leurs Messagers : "Nous vous expulserons certainement de notre territoire, à moins que vous ne réintégriez notre religion!" Alors, leur Seigneur leur révéla : "Assurément Nous anéantirons les injustes,
14:14
وَلَنُسْكِنَنَّكُمُAnd surely We will make you dwellwalanus'kinannakumuٱلْأَرْضَ(in) the landl-arḍaمِنۢafter themminبَعْدِهِمْ ۚafter thembaʿdihimذَٰلِكَThatdhālikaلِمَنْ(is) for whoeverlimanخَافَfearskhāfaمَقَامِىstanding before Memaqāmīوَخَافَand fearswakhāfaوَعِيدِMy Threatwaʿīdi١٤
et vous établirons dans le pays après eux. Cela est pour celui qui craint Ma présence et craint Ma menace."
14:15
وَٱسْتَفْتَحُوا۟And they sought victorywa-is'taftaḥūوَخَابَand disappointedwakhābaكُلُّeverykulluجَبَّارٍtyrantjabbārinعَنِيدٍۢobstinateʿanīdin١٥
Et ils demandèrent [à Allah] la victoire. Et tout tyran insolent fut déçu.
14:16
مِّنof himminوَرَآئِهِۦAheadwarāihiجَهَنَّمُ(is) Helljahannamuوَيُسْقَىٰand he will be made to drinkwayus'qāمِنofminمَّآءٍۢwatermāinصَدِيدٍۢpurulentṣadīdin١٦
L’Enfer est sa destination et il sera abreuvé d’une eau purulente.
14:17
يَتَجَرَّعُهُۥHe will sip ityatajarraʿuhuوَلَاbut notwalāيَكَادُhe will be nearyakāduيُسِيغُهُۥ(to) swallowing ityusīghuhuوَيَأْتِيهِAnd will come to himwayatīhiٱلْمَوْتُthe deathl-mawtuمِنfromminكُلِّeverykulliمَكَانٍۢsidemakāninوَمَاbut notwamāهُوَhehuwaبِمَيِّتٍۢ ۖwill diebimayyitinوَمِنAnd ahead of himwaminوَرَآئِهِۦAnd ahead of himwarāihiعَذَابٌ(is) a punishmentʿadhābunغَلِيظٌۭharshghalīẓun١٧
qu’il tentera d’avaler à petites gorgées. Mais c’est à peine s’il peut l’avaler. La mort lui viendra de toutes parts, mais il ne mourra pas; et il aura un châtiment terrible.
14:18
مَّثَلُ(The) examplemathaluٱلَّذِينَ(of) those whoalladhīnaكَفَرُوا۟disbelievekafarūبِرَبِّهِمْ ۖin their Lordbirabbihimأَعْمَـٰلُهُمْtheir deedsaʿmāluhumكَرَمَادٍ(are) like asheskaramādinٱشْتَدَّتْblows furiouslyish'taddatبِهِon itbihiٱلرِّيحُthe windl-rīḥuفِىinfīيَوْمٍa dayyawminعَاصِفٍۢ ۖstormyʿāṣifinلَّاNolāيَقْدِرُونَcontrol (they have)yaqdirūnaمِمَّاof whatmimmāكَسَبُوا۟they have earnedkasabūعَلَىٰonʿalāشَىْءٍۢ ۚanythingshayinذَٰلِكَThatdhālikaهُوَ[it]huwaٱلضَّلَـٰلُ(is) the strayingl-ḍalāluٱلْبَعِيدُfarl-baʿīdu١٨
Les œuvres de ceux qui ont mécru en leur Seigneur sont comparables à de la cendre violemment frappée par le vent, dans un jour de tempête. Ils ne tireront aucun profit de ce qu'ils ont acquis. C'est cela l'égarement profond.
14:19
أَلَمْDo notalamتَرَyou seetaraأَنَّthatannaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaخَلَقَcreatedkhalaqaٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِthe heavensl-samāwātiوَٱلْأَرْضَand the earthwal-arḍaبِٱلْحَقِّ ۚin truthbil-ḥaqiإِنIfinيَشَأْHe willsyashaيُذْهِبْكُمْHe can remove youyudh'hib'kumوَيَأْتِand bringwayatiبِخَلْقٍۢa creationbikhalqinجَدِيدٍۢnewjadīdin١٩
Ne vois-tu pas qu’Allah a créé les cieux et la Terre pour une juste raison ? S’Il voulait, Il vous ferait disparaître et ferait venir de nouvelles créatures,
14:20
وَمَاAnd notwamāذَٰلِكَ(is) thatdhālikaعَلَىonʿalāٱللَّهِAllahl-lahiبِعَزِيزٍۢgreatbiʿazīzin٢٠
et cela n'est nullement difficile pour Allah.
14:21
وَبَرَزُوا۟And they will come forthwabarazūلِلَّهِbefore Allahlillahiجَمِيعًۭاall togetherjamīʿanفَقَالَthen will sayfaqālaٱلضُّعَفَـٰٓؤُا۟the weakl-ḍuʿafāuلِلَّذِينَto those wholilladhīnaٱسْتَكْبَرُوٓا۟were arrogantis'takbarūإِنَّاIndeed weinnāكُنَّاwe werekunnāلَكُمْyourlakumتَبَعًۭاfollowerstabaʿanفَهَلْso canfahalأَنتُمyou (be)antumمُّغْنُونَthe one who availsmugh'nūnaعَنَّاusʿannāمِنْfromminعَذَابِ(the) punishmentʿadhābiٱللَّهِ(of) Allahl-lahiمِنanythingminشَىْءٍۢ ۚanythingshayinقَالُوا۟They will sayqālūلَوْIflawهَدَىٰنَاAllah had guided ushadānāٱللَّهُAllah had guided usl-lahuلَهَدَيْنَـٰكُمْ ۖsurely we would have guided youlahadaynākumسَوَآءٌ(It is) samesawāonعَلَيْنَآfor usʿalaynāأَجَزِعْنَآwhether we show intoleranceajaziʿ'nāأَمْoramصَبَرْنَاwe are patientṣabarnāمَاnotmāلَنَا(is) for uslanāمِنanyminمَّحِيصٍۢplace of escapemaḥīṣin٢١
Et tous comparaîtront devant Allah. Alors, les faibles diront à ceux qui s’enflaient d’orgueil : “Nous étions bien vos suiveurs. Pouvez-vous nous être de quelque utilité contre le châtiment d’Allah? ” - Les autres [leur] diront: “Si Allah nous avait guidés nous vous aurions certainement guidés. Il est indifférent pour nous de nous plaindre ou d’endurer; nous n’avons pas d’échappatoire.”
14:22
وَقَالَAnd will saywaqālaٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُthe Shaitaanl-shayṭānuلَمَّاwhenlammāقُضِىَhas been decidedquḍiyaٱلْأَمْرُthe matterl-amruإِنَّIndeedinnaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaوَعَدَكُمْpromised youwaʿadakumوَعْدَa promisewaʿdaٱلْحَقِّ(of) truthl-ḥaqiوَوَعَدتُّكُمْAnd I promised youwawaʿadttukumفَأَخْلَفْتُكُمْ ۖbut I betrayed youfa-akhlaftukumوَمَاBut notwamāكَانَI hadkānaلِىَI hadliyaعَلَيْكُمover youʿalaykumمِّنanyminسُلْطَـٰنٍauthoritysul'ṭāninإِلَّآexceptillāأَنthatanدَعَوْتُكُمْI invited youdaʿawtukumفَٱسْتَجَبْتُمْand you respondedfa-is'tajabtumلِى ۖto melīفَلَاSo (do) notfalāتَلُومُونِىblame metalūmūnīوَلُومُوٓا۟but blamewalūmūأَنفُسَكُم ۖyourselvesanfusakumمَّآNotmāأَنَا۠(can) Ianāبِمُصْرِخِكُمْ(be) your helperbimuṣ'rikhikumوَمَآand notwamāأَنتُمyou (can)antumبِمُصْرِخِىَّ ۖ(be) my helperbimuṣ'rikhiyyaإِنِّىIndeed, Iinnīكَفَرْتُdenykafartuبِمَآ[of what]bimāأَشْرَكْتُمُونِyour association of me (with Allah)ashraktumūniمِنbeforeminقَبْلُ ۗbeforeqabluإِنَّIndeedinnaٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَthe wrongdoersl-ẓālimīnaلَهُمْfor themlahumعَذَابٌ(is) a punishmentʿadhābunأَلِيمٌۭpainfulalīmun٢٢
Et quand tout sera accompli, le Diable (Satan) dira : “Certes, Allah vous avait fait une promesse de vérité tandis que moi, je vous ai fait une promesse que je n’ai pas tenue. Je n’avais aucune autorité sur vous si ce n’est que je vous ai appelés, et que vous m’avez répondu. Ne me faites donc pas de reproches! Mais faites-en à vous-même. Je ne vous suis d’aucun secours et vous ne m’êtes d’aucun secours! Je vous renie de m’avoir jadis associé [à Allah] !” Certes, un châtiment douloureux attend les injustes [les polythéistes].
14:23
وَأُدْخِلَAnd will be admittedwa-ud'khilaٱلَّذِينَthose whoalladhīnaءَامَنُوا۟believedāmanūوَعَمِلُوا۟and didwaʿamilūٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِrighteous deedsl-ṣāliḥātiجَنَّـٰتٍۢ(to) Gardensjannātinتَجْرِىflowstajrīمِنfromminتَحْتِهَاunderneath ittaḥtihāٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُthe riversl-anhāruخَـٰلِدِينَ(will) abide foreverkhālidīnaفِيهَاin itfīhāبِإِذْنِby the permissionbi-idh'niرَبِّهِمْ ۖ(of) their Lordrabbihimتَحِيَّتُهُمْtheir greetingstaḥiyyatuhumفِيهَاthereinfīhāسَلَـٰمٌ(will be) peacesalāmun٢٣
Et on fera entrer ceux qui croient et font de bonnes œuvres, dans les jardins sous lesquels coulent les ruisseaux, pour y demeurer éternellement, par permission de leur Seigneur. Et là, leur salutation sera :"Paix (Salâm)."
14:24
أَلَمْDo notalamتَرَyou seetaraكَيْفَhowkayfaضَرَبَAllah sets forthḍarabaٱللَّهُAllah sets forthl-lahuمَثَلًۭاthe examplemathalanكَلِمَةًۭa wordkalimatanطَيِّبَةًۭgoodṭayyibatanكَشَجَرَةٍۢ(is) like a treekashajaratinطَيِّبَةٍgoodṭayyibatinأَصْلُهَاits rootaṣluhāثَابِتٌۭ(is) firmthābitunوَفَرْعُهَاand its brancheswafarʿuhāفِى(are) infīٱلسَّمَآءِthe skyl-samāi٢٤
N’as-tu pas vu comment Allah propose en parabole une bonne parole pareille à un bel arbre dont la racine est ferme et la ramure s’élançe dans le ciel ?
14:25
تُؤْتِىٓGivingtu'tīأُكُلَهَاits fruitukulahāكُلَّallkullaحِينٍۭtimeḥīninبِإِذْنِby the permissionbi-idh'niرَبِّهَا ۗof its LordrabbihāوَيَضْرِبُAnd Allah sets forthwayaḍribuٱللَّهُAnd Allah sets forthl-lahuٱلْأَمْثَالَthe examplesl-amthālaلِلنَّاسِfor mankindlilnnāsiلَعَلَّهُمْso that they maylaʿallahumيَتَذَكَّرُونَrememberyatadhakkarūna٢٥
Il donne à tout instant ses fruits, par la grâce de son Seigneur. Allah propose ses paraboles à l’intention des gens afin qu’ils se rappellent.
14:26
وَمَثَلُAnd (the) examplewamathaluكَلِمَةٍ(of) a wordkalimatinخَبِيثَةٍۢevilkhabīthatinكَشَجَرَةٍ(is) like a treekashajaratinخَبِيثَةٍevilkhabīthatinٱجْتُثَّتْuprooteduj'tuthatمِنfromminفَوْقِthe surfacefawqiٱلْأَرْضِ(of) the earthl-arḍiمَاnotmāلَهَاfor itlahāمِن(is) anyminقَرَارٍۢstabilityqarārin٢٦
Et une mauvaise parole est pareille à un mauvais arbre, déraciné de la surface de la terre et qui n'a point de stabilité.
14:27
يُثَبِّتُAllah keeps firmyuthabbituٱللَّهُAllah keeps firml-lahuٱلَّذِينَthose whoalladhīnaءَامَنُوا۟believeāmanūبِٱلْقَوْلِwith the firm wordbil-qawliٱلثَّابِتِwith the firm wordl-thābitiفِىinfīٱلْحَيَوٰةِthe lifel-ḥayatiٱلدُّنْيَا(of) the worldl-dun'yāوَفِىand inwafīٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ ۖthe Hereafterl-ākhiratiوَيُضِلُّAnd Allah lets go astraywayuḍilluٱللَّهُAnd Allah lets go astrayl-lahuٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ ۚthe wrongdoersl-ẓālimīnaوَيَفْعَلُAnd Allah doeswayafʿaluٱللَّهُAnd Allah doesl-lahuمَاwhatmāيَشَآءُHe willsyashāu٢٧
Allah affermit les croyants par une parole ferme, dans la vie présente et dans l’au-delà . Et Il égare les injustes. Et Allah fait ce qu’Il veut.
14:28
۞ أَلَمْHave notalamتَرَyou seentaraإِلَى[to]ilāٱلَّذِينَthose whoalladhīnaبَدَّلُوا۟(have) changedbaddalūنِعْمَتَ(the) Favorniʿ'mataٱللَّهِ(of) Allahl-lahiكُفْرًۭا(for) disbeliefkuf'ranوَأَحَلُّوا۟and they ledwa-aḥallūقَوْمَهُمْtheir peopleqawmahumدَارَ(to the) housedāraٱلْبَوَارِ(of) destructionl-bawāri٢٨
Ne vois-tu point ceux qui troquent les bienfaits d'Allah contre l'ingratitude et établissent leur peuple dans la demeure de la perdition.
14:29
جَهَنَّمَHelljahannamaيَصْلَوْنَهَا ۖ(in) it they will burnyaṣlawnahāوَبِئْسَand a wretchedwabi'saٱلْقَرَارُplace to settlel-qarāru٢٩
...l’Enfer, où ils brûleront ? Et quel mauvais gîte !
14:30
وَجَعَلُوا۟And they set upwajaʿalūلِلَّهِto Allahlillahiأَندَادًۭاequalsandādanلِّيُضِلُّوا۟so that they misleadliyuḍillūعَنfromʿanسَبِيلِهِۦ ۗHis PathsabīlihiقُلْSayqulتَمَتَّعُوا۟Enjoytamattaʿūفَإِنَّbut indeedfa-innaمَصِيرَكُمْyour destinationmaṣīrakumإِلَى(is) toilāٱلنَّارِthe Firel-nāri٣٠
Et ils ont donné à Allah des égaux afin d’égarer (les gens) de Son sentier. - Dis :"Jouissez [de cette vie] car votre destination sera le Feu."
14:31
قُلSayqulلِّعِبَادِىَto My slavesliʿibādiyaٱلَّذِينَthose whoalladhīnaءَامَنُوا۟believeāmanūيُقِيمُوا۟(to) establishyuqīmūٱلصَّلَوٰةَthe prayersl-ṣalataوَيُنفِقُوا۟and (to) spendwayunfiqūمِمَّاfrom whatmimmāرَزَقْنَـٰهُمْWe have provided themrazaqnāhumسِرًّۭاsecretlysirranوَعَلَانِيَةًۭand publiclywaʿalāniyatanمِّنbeforeminقَبْلِbeforeqabliأَن[that]anيَأْتِىَcomesyatiyaيَوْمٌۭa Dayyawmunلَّاnotlāبَيْعٌۭany tradebayʿunفِيهِin itfīhiوَلَاand notwalāخِلَـٰلٌany friendshipkhilālun٣١
Dis à Mes serviteurs qui ont cru, qu’ils accomplissent la prière (As-Salât) et qu’ils dépensent [dans le bien] en secret et en public de ce que Nous leur avons attribué, avant que vienne le jour où il n’y aura ni rachat ni amitié.
14:32
ٱللَّهُAllahal-lahuٱلَّذِى(is) the One Whoalladhīخَلَقَcreatedkhalaqaٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِthe heavensl-samāwātiوَٱلْأَرْضَand the earthwal-arḍaوَأَنزَلَand sent downwa-anzalaمِنَfromminaٱلسَّمَآءِthe skyl-samāiمَآءًۭwatermāanفَأَخْرَجَthen brought forthfa-akhrajaبِهِۦfrom itbihiمِنَofminaٱلثَّمَرَٰتِthe fruitsl-thamarātiرِزْقًۭا(as) a provisionriz'qanلَّكُمْ ۖfor youlakumوَسَخَّرَand subjectedwasakharaلَكُمُfor youlakumuٱلْفُلْكَthe shipsl-ful'kaلِتَجْرِىَso that they may saillitajriyaفِىinfīٱلْبَحْرِthe seal-baḥriبِأَمْرِهِۦ ۖby His commandbi-amrihiوَسَخَّرَand subjectedwasakharaلَكُمُfor youlakumuٱلْأَنْهَـٰرَthe riversl-anhāra٣٢
Allah, c’est Lui qui a créé les cieux et la Terre et qui, du ciel, a fait descendre l’eau grâce à laquelle Il a produit des fruits pour vous nourrir. Il a soumis à votre service les vaisseaux qui, par Son ordre, voguent sur la mer. Et Il a soumis à votre service les rivières.
14:33
وَسَخَّرَAnd He subjectedwasakharaلَكُمُfor youlakumuٱلشَّمْسَthe sunl-shamsaوَٱلْقَمَرَand the moonwal-qamaraدَآئِبَيْنِ ۖboth constantly pursuing their coursesdāibayniوَسَخَّرَand subjectedwasakharaلَكُمُfor youlakumuٱلَّيْلَthe nightal-laylaوَٱلنَّهَارَand the daywal-nahāra٣٣
Et pour vous, Il a assujetti le soleil et la lune à une perpétuelle révolution. Et Il vous a assujetti la nuit et le jour.
14:34
وَءَاتَىٰكُمAnd He gave youwaātākumمِّنofminكُلِّallkulliمَاwhatmāسَأَلْتُمُوهُ ۚyou asked of Himsa-altumūhuوَإِنAnd ifwa-inتَعُدُّوا۟you counttaʿuddūنِعْمَتَ(the) Favor of Allahniʿ'mataٱللَّهِ(the) Favor of Allahl-lahiلَاnotlāتُحْصُوهَآ ۗyou will (be able to) count themtuḥ'ṣūhāإِنَّIndeedinnaٱلْإِنسَـٰنَthe mankindl-insānaلَظَلُومٌۭ(is) surely unjustlaẓalūmunكَفَّارٌۭ(and) ungratefulkaffārun٣٤
Et Il vous a accordé de tout ce que vous Lui avez demandé. Et si vous comptiez les bienfaits d’Allah, vous ne sauriez les dénombrer. L’homme est vraiment très injuste, très ingrat.
14:35
وَإِذْAnd whenwa-idhقَالَsaidqālaإِبْرَٰهِيمُIbrahimib'rāhīmuرَبِّMy LordrabbiٱجْعَلْMakeij'ʿalهَـٰذَاthishādhāٱلْبَلَدَcityl-baladaءَامِنًۭاsafeāminanوَٱجْنُبْنِىand keep me awaywa-uj'nub'nīوَبَنِىَّand my sonswabaniyyaأَنthatanنَّعْبُدَwe worshipnaʿbudaٱلْأَصْنَامَthe idolsl-aṣnāma٣٥
Et (rappelle-toi) quand Abraham dit : “Seigneur ! Fais de cette cité un lieu sûr, et préserve-moi ainsi que mes enfants de l’adoration des idoles !
14:36
رَبِّMy LordrabbiإِنَّهُنَّIndeed, theyinnahunnaأَضْلَلْنَhave led astrayaḍlalnaكَثِيرًۭاmanykathīranمِّنَamongminaٱلنَّاسِ ۖthe mankindl-nāsiفَمَنSo whoeverfamanتَبِعَنِىfollows metabiʿanīفَإِنَّهُۥthen indeed, hefa-innahuمِنِّى ۖ(is) of meminnīوَمَنْand whoeverwamanعَصَانِىdisobeys meʿaṣānīفَإِنَّكَthen indeed, Youfa-innakaغَفُورٌۭ(are) Oft-ForgivingghafūrunرَّحِيمٌۭMost Mercifulraḥīmun٣٦
Seigneur ! Elles (les idoles) ont égaré beaucoup de gens. Quiconque me suit est des miens. Quand à celui qui me désobéit... alors c’est Toi, le Pardonneur, le Très Miséricordieux !
14:37
رَّبَّنَآOur LordrabbanāإِنِّىٓIndeed, Iinnīأَسْكَنتُ[I] have settledaskantuمِن(some) ofminذُرِّيَّتِىmy offspringsdhurriyyatīبِوَادٍin a valleybiwādinغَيْرِnotghayriذِىwithdhīزَرْعٍcultivationzarʿinعِندَnearʿindaبَيْتِكَYour Sacred HousebaytikaٱلْمُحَرَّمِYour Sacred Housel-muḥaramiرَبَّنَاour Lordrabbanāلِيُقِيمُوا۟That they may establishliyuqīmūٱلصَّلَوٰةَthe prayersl-ṣalataفَٱجْعَلْSo makefa-ij'ʿalأَفْـِٔدَةًۭheartsafidatanمِّنَofminaٱلنَّاسِthe menl-nāsiتَهْوِىٓinclinetahwīإِلَيْهِمْtowards themilayhimوَٱرْزُقْهُمand provide themwa-ur'zuq'humمِّنَwithminaٱلثَّمَرَٰتِthe fruitsl-thamarātiلَعَلَّهُمْso that they maylaʿallahumيَشْكُرُونَbe gratefulyashkurūna٣٧
Notre Seigneur ! J’ai établi une partie de ma descendance dans une vallée sans agriculture, près de Ta Maison Sacrée [Al Ka’bah], - ô notre Seigneur - afin qu’ils accomplissent la prière (As-Salât). Fais donc que se penchent vers eux les cœurs d’une partie des gens. Et nourris-les de fruits. Peut-être seront-ils reconnaissants?
14:38
رَبَّنَآOur LordrabbanāإِنَّكَIndeed, YouinnakaتَعْلَمُYou knowtaʿlamuمَاwhatmāنُخْفِىwe concealnukh'fīوَمَاand whatwamāنُعْلِنُ ۗwe proclaimnuʿ'linuوَمَاAnd notwamāيَخْفَىٰ(is) hiddenyakhfāعَلَىfromʿalāٱللَّهِAllahl-lahiمِنanyminشَىْءٍۢthingshayinفِىinfīٱلْأَرْضِthe earthl-arḍiوَلَاand notwalāفِىinfīٱلسَّمَآءِthe heavenl-samāi٣٨
Notre Seigneur! Tu sais, vraiment, ce que nous cachons et ce que nous divulguons - et rien n’échappe à Allah, ni sur Terre, ni au ciel! -
14:39
ٱلْحَمْدُAll the Praiseal-ḥamduلِلَّهِ(is) for Allahlillahiٱلَّذِىthe One Whoalladhīوَهَبَhas grantedwahabaلِىmelīعَلَىinʿalāٱلْكِبَرِthe old agel-kibariإِسْمَـٰعِيلَIshmaelis'māʿīlaوَإِسْحَـٰقَ ۚand Isaacwa-is'ḥāqaإِنَّIndeedinnaرَبِّىmy Lordrabbīلَسَمِيعُ(is) All-Hearerlasamīʿuٱلدُّعَآءِ(of) the prayerl-duʿāi٣٩
Louange à Allah, qui en dépit de ma vieillesse, m’a donné Ismaël et Isaac. Certes, mon Seigneur entend bien les prières.
14:40
رَبِّMy LordrabbiٱجْعَلْنِىMake meij'ʿalnīمُقِيمَan establishermuqīmaٱلصَّلَوٰةِ(of) the prayerl-ṣalatiوَمِنand fromwaminذُرِّيَّتِى ۚmy offspringsdhurriyyatīرَبَّنَاOur Lordrabbanāوَتَقَبَّلْand acceptwataqabbalدُعَآءِmy prayerduʿāi٤٠
Ô mon Seigneur ! Fais que j’accomplisse assidûment la prière (As-Salât) ainsi qu’une partie de ma descendance ! Ô notre Seigneur ! Exauce ma prière !
14:41
رَبَّنَاOur LordrabbanāٱغْفِرْForgiveigh'firلِىmelīوَلِوَٰلِدَىَّand my parentswaliwālidayyaوَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَand the believerswalil'mu'minīnaيَوْمَ(on) the Dayyawmaيَقُومُwill (be) establishedyaqūmuٱلْحِسَابُthe accountl-ḥisābu٤١
Notre Seigneur ! Pardonne-moi, ainsi qu’à mes père et mère et aux croyants, le Jour de la Reddition des Comptes !”
14:42
وَلَاAnd (do) notwalāتَحْسَبَنَّthinktaḥsabannaٱللَّهَ(that) Allahl-lahaغَـٰفِلًا(is) unawareghāfilanعَمَّاof whatʿammāيَعْمَلُdoyaʿmaluٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ ۚthe wrongdoersl-ẓālimūnaإِنَّمَاOnlyinnamāيُؤَخِّرُهُمْHe gives them respiteyu-akhiruhumلِيَوْمٍۢto a Dayliyawminتَشْخَصُwill staretashkhaṣuفِيهِin itfīhiٱلْأَبْصَـٰرُthe eyesl-abṣāru٤٢
Et ne pense point qu’Allah soit inattentif à ce que font les injustes. Il leur accordera un délai jusqu’au jour où leurs regards se figeront.
14:43
مُهْطِعِينَRacing aheadmuh'ṭiʿīnaمُقْنِعِىraised upmuq'niʿīرُءُوسِهِمْtheir headsruūsihimلَاnotlāيَرْتَدُّreturningyartadduإِلَيْهِمْtowards themilayhimطَرْفُهُمْ ۖtheir gazeṭarfuhumوَأَفْـِٔدَتُهُمْand their heartswa-afidatuhumهَوَآءٌۭ(are) emptyhawāon٤٣
Ils courront [suppliant], levant la tête, les yeux hagards et les cœurs vides.
14:44
وَأَنذِرِAnd warnwa-andhiriٱلنَّاسَthe mankindl-nāsaيَوْمَ(of) a Dayyawmaيَأْتِيهِمُ(when) will come to themyatīhimuٱلْعَذَابُthe punishmentl-ʿadhābuفَيَقُولُthen will sayfayaqūluٱلَّذِينَthose whoalladhīnaظَلَمُوا۟did wrongẓalamūرَبَّنَآOur LordrabbanāأَخِّرْنَآRespite usakhir'nāإِلَىٰٓforilāأَجَلٍۢa termajalinقَرِيبٍۢshortqarībinنُّجِبْwe will answernujibدَعْوَتَكَYour calldaʿwatakaوَنَتَّبِعِand we will followwanattabiʿiٱلرُّسُلَ ۗthe Messengersl-rusulaأَوَلَمْHad notawalamتَكُونُوٓا۟youtakūnūأَقْسَمْتُمswornaqsamtumمِّنbeforeminقَبْلُbeforeqabluمَاnotmāلَكُمfor youlakumمِّنanyminزَوَالٍۢendzawālin٤٤
Et avertis les gens du jour où le châtiment les atteindra et ceux qui auront été injustes diront: “Notre Seigneur! Accorde-nous un court délai, nous répondrons à Ton appel et suivront les Messagers.” N’avez-vous pas juré auparavant que vous ne deviez jamais disparaître ?
14:45
وَسَكَنتُمْAnd you dweltwasakantumفِىinfīمَسَـٰكِنِthe dwellingsmasākiniٱلَّذِينَ(of) those whoalladhīnaظَلَمُوٓا۟wrongedẓalamūأَنفُسَهُمْthemselvesanfusahumوَتَبَيَّنَand it had become clearwatabayyanaلَكُمْto youlakumكَيْفَhowkayfaفَعَلْنَاWe dealtfaʿalnāبِهِمْwith thembihimوَضَرَبْنَاand We put forthwaḍarabnāلَكُمُfor youlakumuٱلْأَمْثَالَthe examplesl-amthāla٤٥
Et vous avez habité, les demeures de ceux qui s’étaient fait du tort à eux-mêmes. Il vous est apparu en toute évidence comment Nous les avons traité et Nous vous avons cité les exemples.
14:46
وَقَدْAnd indeedwaqadمَكَرُوا۟they plannedmakarūمَكْرَهُمْtheir planmakrahumوَعِندَbut withwaʿindaٱللَّهِAllahl-lahiمَكْرُهُمْ(was) their planmakruhumوَإِنeven ifwa-inكَانَwaskānaمَكْرُهُمْtheir planmakruhumلِتَزُولَthat should be movedlitazūlaمِنْهُby itmin'huٱلْجِبَالُthe mountainsl-jibālu٤٦
Ils ont certes comploté. Or leur complot est (inscrit) auprès d’Allah même si leur complot était assez puissant pour faire disparaître les montagnes....
14:47
فَلَاSo (do) notfalāتَحْسَبَنَّthinktaḥsabannaٱللَّهَ(that) Allahl-lahaمُخْلِفَwill failmukh'lifaوَعْدِهِۦ(to) keep His Promisewaʿdihiرُسُلَهُۥٓ ۗ(to) His MessengersrusulahuإِنَّIndeedinnaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaعَزِيزٌۭ(is) All-MightyʿazīzunذُوOwner (of) RetributiondhūٱنتِقَامٍۢOwner (of) Retributionintiqāmin٤٧
Ne pense point qu’Allah manque à Sa Promesse envers Ses Messagers. Certes, Allah est Tout Puissant et Détenteur du pouvoir de punir,
14:48
يَوْمَ(On the) Dayyawmaتُبَدَّلُwill be changedtubaddaluٱلْأَرْضُthe earthl-arḍuغَيْرَ(to) other (than)ghayraٱلْأَرْضِthe earthl-arḍiوَٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتُ ۖand the heavenswal-samāwātuوَبَرَزُوا۟and they will come forthwabarazūلِلَّهِbefore Allahlillahiٱلْوَٰحِدِthe Onel-wāḥidiٱلْقَهَّارِthe Irresistiblel-qahāri٤٨
au jour où la Terre sera remplacée par une autre, de même que les cieux et où (les hommes) comparaîtront devant Allah, l’Unique, Le Dominateur Suprême.
14:49
وَتَرَىAnd you will seewatarāٱلْمُجْرِمِينَthe criminalsl-muj'rimīnaيَوْمَئِذٍۢ(on) that Dayyawma-idhinمُّقَرَّنِينَbound togethermuqarranīnaفِىinfīٱلْأَصْفَادِthe chainsl-aṣfādi٤٩
Et ce jour-là, tu verras les coupables, enchaînés les uns aux autres,
14:50
سَرَابِيلُهُمTheir garmentssarābīluhumمِّنofminقَطِرَانٍۢtarqaṭirāninوَتَغْشَىٰand will coverwataghshāوُجُوهَهُمُtheir faceswujūhahumuٱلنَّارُthe Firel-nāru٥٠
leurs tuniques seront de goudron et le Feu couvrira leurs visages.
14:51
لِيَجْزِىَSo that Allah may recompenseliyajziyaٱللَّهُSo that Allah may recompensel-lahuكُلَّeachkullaنَفْسٍۢsoulnafsinمَّا(for) whatmāكَسَبَتْ ۚit earnedkasabatإِنَّIndeedinnaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaسَرِيعُ(is) Swiftsarīʿuٱلْحِسَابِ(in) the reckoningl-ḥisābi٥١
(Tout cela) afin qu’Allah rétribue chaque âme de ce qu’elle aura acquis. Certes, Allah est prompt dans Ses comptes.
14:52
هَـٰذَاThishādhāبَلَـٰغٌۭ(is) a Messagebalāghunلِّلنَّاسِfor the mankindlilnnāsiوَلِيُنذَرُوا۟that they may be warnedwaliyundharūبِهِۦwith itbihiوَلِيَعْلَمُوٓا۟and that they may knowwaliyaʿlamūأَنَّمَاthat onlyannamāهُوَHehuwaإِلَـٰهٌۭ(is) One Godilāhunوَٰحِدٌۭ(is) One Godwāḥidunوَلِيَذَّكَّرَand that may take heedwaliyadhakkaraأُو۟لُوا۟menulūٱلْأَلْبَـٰبِ(of) understandingl-albābi٥٢
Ceci est un message (le Coran) pour les gens afin qu’ils soient avertis, qu’ils sachent qu’Il n’est qu’un Dieu unique, et pour que les doués d’intelligence s’exhortent.
