نوح

La sourate Nuh (نوح) est le 71e chapitre du Saint Coran — une sourate Mecquoise de 28 versets. Les sourates mecquoises ont été révélées avant l'émigration du Prophète Muhammad (paix sur lui) à Médine et mettent souvent l'accent sur la foi, l'unicité de Dieu et l'au-delà.

بِسْمِIn (the) namebis'miٱللَّهِ(of) Allahl-lahiٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِthe Most Graciousl-raḥmāniٱلرَّحِيمِthe Most Mercifull-raḥīmi
Au nom d'Allah, le Tout Miséricordieux, le Très Miséricordieux
71:1
إِنَّآIndeed, Weinnāأَرْسَلْنَا[We] sentarsalnāنُوحًاNuhnūḥanإِلَىٰtoilāقَوْمِهِۦٓhis peopleqawmihiأَنْthatanأَنذِرْWarnandhirقَوْمَكَyour peopleqawmakaمِنfromminقَبْلِbeforeqabliأَن[that]anيَأْتِيَهُمْcomes to themyatiyahumعَذَابٌa punishmentʿadhābunأَلِيمٌۭpainfulalīmun١
Nous avons envoyé Noé vers son peuple : "Avertis ton peuple, avant que leur vienne un châtiment douloureux."
71:2
قَالَHe saidqālaيَـٰقَوْمِO my peopleyāqawmiإِنِّىIndeed, I aminnīلَكُمْto youlakumنَذِيرٌۭa warnernadhīrunمُّبِينٌclearmubīnun٢
Il [leur] dit : "Ô mon peuple, je suis vraiment pour vous, un avertisseur clair,
71:3
أَنِThataniٱعْبُدُوا۟Worshipuʿ'budūٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaوَٱتَّقُوهُand fear Himwa-ittaqūhuوَأَطِيعُونِand obey mewa-aṭīʿūni٣
Adorez Allah, craignez-Le et obéissez-moi,
71:4
يَغْفِرْHe will forgiveyaghfirلَكُمfor youlakumمِّن[of]minذُنُوبِكُمْyour sinsdhunūbikumوَيُؤَخِّرْكُمْand give you respitewayu-akhir'kumإِلَىٰٓforilāأَجَلٍۢa termajalinمُّسَمًّى ۚspecifiedmusammanإِنَّIndeedinnaأَجَلَ(the) termajalaٱللَّهِ(of) Allahl-lahiإِذَاwhenidhāجَآءَit comesjāaلَاnotlāيُؤَخَّرُ ۖis delayedyu-akharuلَوْiflawكُنتُمْyoukuntumتَعْلَمُونَknowtaʿlamūna٤
pour qu’Il vous pardonne vos péchés et qu’Il vous donne un délai jusqu’à un terme fixé. Mais quand vient le terme fixé par Allah, il ne saurait être différé si vous saviez !"
71:5
قَالَHe saidqālaرَبِّMy LordrabbiإِنِّىIndeed, Iinnīدَعَوْتُinviteddaʿawtuقَوْمِىmy peopleqawmīلَيْلًۭاnightlaylanوَنَهَارًۭاand daywanahāran٥
Il dit : "Seigneur ! J’ai appelé mon peuple, nuit et jour.
71:6
فَلَمْBut notfalamيَزِدْهُمْincreased themyazid'humدُعَآءِىٓmy invitationduʿāīإِلَّاexceptillāفِرَارًۭا(in) flightfirāran٦
Mais mon appel n’a fait qu’accroître leur fuite.
71:7
وَإِنِّىAnd indeed, Iwa-innīكُلَّمَاevery timekullamāدَعَوْتُهُمْI invited themdaʿawtuhumلِتَغْفِرَthat You may forgivelitaghfiraلَهُمْthemlahumجَعَلُوٓا۟they putjaʿalūأَصَـٰبِعَهُمْtheir fingersaṣābiʿahumفِىٓinfīءَاذَانِهِمْtheir earsādhānihimوَٱسْتَغْشَوْا۟and covered themselveswa-is'taghshawثِيَابَهُمْ(with) their garmentsthiyābahumوَأَصَرُّوا۟and persistedwa-aṣarrūوَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟and were arrogantwa-is'takbarūٱسْتِكْبَارًۭا(with) prideis'tik'bāran٧
Et chaque fois que je les ai appelés pour que Tu leur pardonnes, ils ont mis leurs doigts dans leurs oreilles, se sont enveloppés de leurs vêtements, se sont entêtés et se sont montrés extrêmement orgueilleux.
71:8
ثُمَّThenthummaإِنِّىindeed, Iinnīدَعَوْتُهُمْinvited themdaʿawtuhumجِهَارًۭاpubliclyjihāran٨
Ensuite, je les ai appelés ouvertement.
71:9
ثُمَّThenthummaإِنِّىٓindeed, Iinnīأَعْلَنتُannouncedaʿlantuلَهُمْto themlahumوَأَسْرَرْتُand I confidedwa-asrartuلَهُمْto themlahumإِسْرَارًۭاsecretlyis'rāran٩
Puis, je leur ai fait des proclamations publiques, et des confidences en secret.
71:10
فَقُلْتُThen I saidfaqul'tuٱسْتَغْفِرُوا۟Ask forgivenessis'taghfirūرَبَّكُمْ(from) your LordrabbakumإِنَّهُۥIndeed, HeinnahuكَانَiskānaغَفَّارًۭاOft-Forgivingghaffāran١٠
J’ai donc dit : "Implorez le pardon de votre Seigneur, car Il est grand Pardonneur,
71:11
يُرْسِلِHe will send downyur'siliٱلسَّمَآءَ(rain from) the skyl-samāaعَلَيْكُمupon youʿalaykumمِّدْرَارًۭا(in) abundancemid'rāran١١
pour qu’Il vous envoie du ciel, des pluies abondante,
71:12
وَيُمْدِدْكُمAnd provide youwayum'did'kumبِأَمْوَٰلٍۢwith wealthbi-amwālinوَبَنِينَand childrenwabanīnaوَيَجْعَلand makewayajʿalلَّكُمْfor youlakumجَنَّـٰتٍۢgardensjannātinوَيَجْعَلand makewayajʿalلَّكُمْfor youlakumأَنْهَـٰرًۭاriversanhāran١٢
et qu’Il vous accorde beaucoup de biens et d’enfants, et vous donne des jardins et vous donne des rivières.
71:13
مَّاWhatmāلَكُمْ(is) for youlakumلَاnotlāتَرْجُونَyou attributetarjūnaلِلَّهِto Allahlillahiوَقَارًۭاgrandeurwaqāran١٣
Qu’avez-vous à ne pas vénérer Allah comme il se doit,
71:14
وَقَدْAnd indeedwaqadخَلَقَكُمْHe created youkhalaqakumأَطْوَارًا(in) stagesaṭwāran١٤
alors qu’Il vous a créés par phases successives ?
71:15
أَلَمْDo notalamتَرَوْا۟you seetarawكَيْفَhowkayfaخَلَقَdid createkhalaqaٱللَّهُAllahl-lahuسَبْعَ(the) sevensabʿaسَمَـٰوَٰتٍۢheavenssamāwātinطِبَاقًۭا(in) layersṭibāqan١٥
N’avez-vous pas vu comment Allah a créé sept cieux superposés.
71:16
وَجَعَلَAnd madewajaʿalaٱلْقَمَرَthe moonl-qamaraفِيهِنَّthereinfīhinnaنُورًۭاa lightnūranوَجَعَلَand madewajaʿalaٱلشَّمْسَthe sunl-shamsaسِرَاجًۭاa lampsirājan١٦
Et y a fait de la lune une lumière et du soleil une lampe ?
71:17
وَٱللَّهُAnd Allahwal-lahuأَنۢبَتَكُمhas caused you to growanbatakumمِّنَfromminaٱلْأَرْضِthe earthl-arḍiنَبَاتًۭا(as) a growthnabātan١٧
Et c’est Allah qui, de la terre, vous a fait croître comme des plantes,
71:18
ثُمَّThenthummaيُعِيدُكُمْHe will return youyuʿīdukumفِيهَاinto itfīhāوَيُخْرِجُكُمْand bring you forthwayukh'rijukumإِخْرَاجًۭا(a new) bringing forthikh'rājan١٨
puis Il vous y fera retourner et vous en fera sortir véritablement.
71:19
وَٱللَّهُAnd Allahwal-lahuجَعَلَmadejaʿalaلَكُمُfor youlakumuٱلْأَرْضَthe earthl-arḍaبِسَاطًۭاan expansebisāṭan١٩
Et c’est Allah qui vous a fait de la terre un tapis,
71:20
لِّتَسْلُكُوا۟That you may go alonglitaslukūمِنْهَاthereinmin'hāسُبُلًۭا(in) pathssubulanفِجَاجًۭاwidefijājan٢٠
pour que vous vous acheminiez par ses voies spacieuses."
71:21
قَالَSaidqālaنُوحٌۭNuhnūḥunرَّبِّMy LordrabbiإِنَّهُمْIndeed, theyinnahumعَصَوْنِىdisobeyed meʿaṣawnīوَٱتَّبَعُوا۟and followedwa-ittabaʿūمَن(the one) whomanلَّمْ(did) notlamيَزِدْهُincrease himyazid'huمَالُهُۥhis wealthmāluhuوَوَلَدُهُۥٓand his childrenwawaladuhuإِلَّاexceptillāخَسَارًۭا(in) losskhasāran٢١
Noé dit : "Seigneur, ils m’ont désobéi et ils ont suivi celui dont les biens et les enfants n’ont fait qu’accroître la perte.
71:22
وَمَكَرُوا۟And they have plannedwamakarūمَكْرًۭاa planmakranكُبَّارًۭاgreatkubbāran٢٢
Ils ont ourdi un immense stratagème,
71:23
وَقَالُوا۟And they saidwaqālūلَا(Do) notlāتَذَرُنَّleavetadharunnaءَالِهَتَكُمْyour godsālihatakumوَلَاand (do) notwalāتَذَرُنَّleavetadharunnaوَدًّۭاWaddwaddanوَلَاand notwalāسُوَاعًۭاSuwasuwāʿanوَلَاand notwalāيَغُوثَYaguthyaghūthaوَيَعُوقَand Yauqwayaʿūqaوَنَسْرًۭاand Nasrwanasran٢٣
et ils ont dit : "N’abandonnez jamais vos divinités et n’abandonnez jamais Wadd, Suwâ', Yaghûth, Ya'ûq et Nasr .
71:24
وَقَدْAnd indeedwaqadأَضَلُّوا۟they have led astrayaḍallūكَثِيرًۭا ۖmanykathīranوَلَاAnd notwalāتَزِدِincreasetazidiٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَthe wrongdoersl-ẓālimīnaإِلَّاexceptillāضَلَـٰلًۭا(in) errorḍalālan٢٤
Elles [les idoles] ont déjà égaré un grand nombre. Ne fais (Seigneur) croître les injustes qu’en égarement.
71:25
مِّمَّاBecause ofmimmāخَطِيٓـَٔـٰتِهِمْtheir sinskhaṭīātihimأُغْرِقُوا۟they were drownedugh'riqūفَأُدْخِلُوا۟then made to enterfa-ud'khilūنَارًۭا(the) Firenāranفَلَمْand notfalamيَجِدُوا۟they foundyajidūلَهُمfor themselveslahumمِّنfromminدُونِbesidesdūniٱللَّهِAllahl-lahiأَنصَارًۭاany helpersanṣāran٢٥
A cause de leurs fautes, ils ont été noyés, puis on les a fait entrer au Feu, et ils n’ont pas trouvé en dehors d’Allah, de secoureurs."
71:26
وَقَالَAnd saidwaqālaنُوحٌۭNuhnūḥunرَّبِّMy Lordrabbiلَا(Do) notlāتَذَرْleavetadharعَلَىonʿalāٱلْأَرْضِthe earthl-arḍiمِنَanyminaٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ(of) the disbelieversl-kāfirīnaدَيَّارًا(as) an inhabitantdayyāran٢٦
Et Noé dit : "Seigneur, ne laisse sur la terre aucun infidèle.
71:27
إِنَّكَIndeed, YouinnakaإِنifinتَذَرْهُمْYou leave themtadharhumيُضِلُّوا۟they will misleadyuḍillūعِبَادَكَYour slavesʿibādakaوَلَاand notwalāيَلِدُوٓا۟they will begetyalidūإِلَّاexceptillāفَاجِرًۭاa wickedfājiranكَفَّارًۭاa disbelieverkaffāran٢٧
Si Tu les laisses [en vie], ils égareront Tes serviteurs et n’engendreront que des pécheurs infidèles.
71:28
رَّبِّMy LordrabbiٱغْفِرْForgiveigh'firلِىmelīوَلِوَٰلِدَىَّand my parentswaliwālidayyaوَلِمَنand whoeverwalimanدَخَلَentersdakhalaبَيْتِىَmy house baytiyaمُؤْمِنًۭاa believermu'minanوَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَand the believing menwalil'mu'minīnaوَٱلْمُؤْمِنَـٰتِand the believing womenwal-mu'minātiوَلَاAnd (do) notwalāتَزِدِincreasetazidiٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَthe wrongdoersl-ẓālimīnaإِلَّاexceptillāتَبَارًۢا(in) destructiontabāran٢٨
Seigneur! Pardonne-moi, et à mes père et mère et à celui qui entre dans ma demeure croyant, ainsi qu’aux croyants et croyantes; et ne fait croître les injustes qu’en perdition."
