Mecquoise 54 Versets Juz 22
سبإ

La sourate Saba (سبإ) est le 34e chapitre du Saint Coran — une sourate Mecquoise de 54 versets. Les sourates mecquoises ont été révélées avant l'émigration du Prophète Muhammad (paix sur lui) à Médine et mettent souvent l'accent sur la foi, l'unicité de Dieu et l'au-delà.

بِسْمِIn (the) namebis'miٱللَّهِ(of) Allahl-lahiٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِthe Most Graciousl-raḥmāniٱلرَّحِيمِthe Most Mercifull-raḥīmi
Au nom d'Allah, le Tout Miséricordieux, le Très Miséricordieux
34:1
ٱلْحَمْدُAll praisesal-ḥamduلِلَّهِ(be) to Allahlillahiٱلَّذِىthe One to Whom belongsalladhīلَهُۥthe One to Whom belongslahuمَاwhatevermāفِى(is) infīٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِthe heavensl-samāwātiوَمَاand whateverwamāفِى(is) infīٱلْأَرْضِthe earthl-arḍiوَلَهُand for Himwalahuٱلْحَمْدُ(are) all praisesl-ḥamduفِىinfīٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ ۚthe Hereafterl-ākhiratiوَهُوَAnd Hewahuwaٱلْحَكِيمُ(is) the All-Wisel-ḥakīmuٱلْخَبِيرُthe All-Awarel-khabīru١
Louange à Allah à qui appartient tout ce qui est dans les cieux et tout ce qui est sur la terre. Et louange à Lui dans l’au-delà. Et c’est Lui le Sage, le Parfaitement Connaisseur.
34:2
يَعْلَمُHe knowsyaʿlamuمَاwhatmāيَلِجُpenetratesyalijuفِىinfīٱلْأَرْضِthe earthl-arḍiوَمَاand whatwamāيَخْرُجُcomes outyakhrujuمِنْهَاfrom itmin'hāوَمَاand whatwamāيَنزِلُdescendsyanziluمِنَfromminaٱلسَّمَآءِthe heavenl-samāiوَمَاand whatwamāيَعْرُجُascendsyaʿrujuفِيهَا ۚthereinfīhāوَهُوَAnd Hewahuwaٱلرَّحِيمُ(is) the Most Mercifull-raḥīmuٱلْغَفُورُthe Oft-Forgivingl-ghafūru٢
Il sait qui pénètre en terre et qui en sort, ce qui descend du ciel et ce qui y remonte. Et c’est Lui le Miséricordieux, le Pardonneur.
34:3
وَقَالَBut saywaqālaٱلَّذِينَthose whoalladhīnaكَفَرُوا۟disbelievekafarūلَاNotlāتَأْتِينَاwill come to ustatīnāٱلسَّاعَةُ ۖthe Hourl-sāʿatuقُلْSayqulبَلَىٰNaybalāوَرَبِّىby my Lordwarabbīلَتَأْتِيَنَّكُمْsurely it will come to youlatatiyannakumعَـٰلِمِ(He is the) Knowerʿālimiٱلْغَيْبِ ۖ(of) the unseenl-ghaybiلَاNotlāيَعْزُبُescapesyaʿzubuعَنْهُfrom Himʿanhuمِثْقَالُ(the) weightmith'qāluذَرَّةٍۢ(of) an atomdharratinفِىinfīٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِthe heavensl-samāwātiوَلَاand notwalāفِىinfīٱلْأَرْضِthe earthl-arḍiوَلَآand notwalāأَصْغَرُsmalleraṣgharuمِنthanminذَٰلِكَthatdhālikaوَلَآand notwalāأَكْبَرُgreaterakbaruإِلَّاbutillāفِى(is) infīكِتَـٰبٍۢa RecordkitābinمُّبِينٍۢClearmubīnin٣
Ceux qui ne croient pas disent : "L’Heure ne nous viendra pas." Dis : "Par mon Seigneur ! Très certainement, elle vous viendra. [Mon Seigneur] le Connaisseur de l’Inconnaissable. Rien ne Lui échappe fût-il du poids d’un atome dans les cieux, comme sur la terre. Et rien n’existe de plus petit ni de plus grand, qui ne soit inscrit dans un Livre explicite
34:4
لِّيَجْزِىَThat He may rewardliyajziyaٱلَّذِينَthose whoalladhīnaءَامَنُوا۟believeāmanūوَعَمِلُوا۟and dowaʿamilūٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ ۚrighteous deedsl-ṣāliḥātiأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَThose ulāikaلَهُمfor themlahumمَّغْفِرَةٌۭ(will be) forgivenessmaghfiratunوَرِزْقٌۭand a provisionwariz'qunكَرِيمٌۭnoblekarīmun٤
afin qu’Il récompense ceux qui croient et accomplissent les bonnes œuvres. Pour ceux-ci, il y aura un pardon et un don généreux.
34:5
وَٱلَّذِينَBut those whowa-alladhīnaسَعَوْstrivesaʿawفِىٓagainstfīءَايَـٰتِنَاOur Versesāyātināمُعَـٰجِزِينَ(to) cause failure muʿājizīnaأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَthose ulāikaلَهُمْfor themlahumعَذَابٌۭ(is) a punishmentʿadhābunمِّنofminرِّجْزٍfoul naturerij'zinأَلِيمٌۭpainfulalīmun٥
Et ceux qui s’efforcent de rendre vains Nos versets, ceux-là auront le châtiment d’un supplice douloureux.
34:6
وَيَرَىAnd seewayarāٱلَّذِينَthose whoalladhīnaأُوتُوا۟have been givenūtūٱلْعِلْمَthe knowledgel-ʿil'maٱلَّذِىٓ(that) whatalladhīأُنزِلَis revealedunzilaإِلَيْكَto youilaykaمِنfromminرَّبِّكَyour Lordrabbikaهُوَ[it]huwaٱلْحَقَّ(is) the Truthl-ḥaqaوَيَهْدِىٓand it guideswayahdīإِلَىٰtoilāصِرَٰطِ(the) Pathṣirāṭiٱلْعَزِيزِ(of) the All-Mightyl-ʿazīziٱلْحَمِيدِthe Praiseworthyl-ḥamīdi٦
Et ceux à qui le savoir a été donné voient qu’on t’a fait descendre de la part de ton Seigneur est la vérité qui guide au chemin du Tout Puissant, du Digne de Louange.
34:7
وَقَالَBut saywaqālaٱلَّذِينَthose whoalladhīnaكَفَرُوا۟disbelievekafarūهَلْShallhalنَدُلُّكُمْwe direct younadullukumعَلَىٰtoʿalāرَجُلٍۢa manrajulinيُنَبِّئُكُمْwho informs youyunabbi-ukumإِذَاwhenidhāمُزِّقْتُمْyou have disintegratedmuzziq'tumكُلَّ(in) totalkullaمُمَزَّقٍdisintegrationmumazzaqinإِنَّكُمْindeed youinnakumلَفِىsurely (will be) inlafīخَلْقٍۢa creationkhalqinجَدِيدٍnewjadīdin٧
Et ceux qui ne croient pas dirent: "Voulez-vous que nous vous indiquions un homme qui vous informe que lorsque vous serez complètement désintégrés, vous reparaîtrez, sans nul doute, en une nouvelle création?
34:8
أَفْتَرَىٰHas he inventedaftarāعَلَىaboutʿalāٱللَّهِAllahl-lahiكَذِبًاa liekadhibanأَمoramبِهِۦin himbihiجِنَّةٌۢ ۗ(is) madnessjinnatunبَلِNaybaliٱلَّذِينَthose whoalladhīnaلَا(do) notlāيُؤْمِنُونَbelieveyu'minūnaبِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِin the Hereafterbil-ākhiratiفِى(will be) infīٱلْعَذَابِthe punishmentl-ʿadhābiوَٱلضَّلَـٰلِand errorwal-ḍalāliٱلْبَعِيدِfarl-baʿīdi٨
Invente-t-il un mensonge contre Allah ? ou bien est-il fou ?" [Non], mais ceux qui ne croient pas en l’au-delà sont voués au châtiment et à l’égarement lointain.
34:9
أَفَلَمْThen, do notafalamيَرَوْا۟they seeyarawإِلَىٰtowardsilāمَاwhatmāبَيْنَ(is) before thembaynaأَيْدِيهِمْ(is) before themaydīhimوَمَاand whatwamāخَلْفَهُم(is) behind themkhalfahumمِّنَofminaٱلسَّمَآءِthe heavenl-samāiوَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚand the earthwal-arḍiإِنIfinنَّشَأْWe willnashaنَخْسِفْWe (could) cause to swallow themnakhsifبِهِمُWe (could) cause to swallow thembihimuٱلْأَرْضَthe earthl-arḍaأَوْorawنُسْقِطْcause to fallnus'qiṭعَلَيْهِمْupon themʿalayhimكِسَفًۭاfragmentskisafanمِّنَfromminaٱلسَّمَآءِ ۚthe skyl-samāiإِنَّIndeedinnaفِىinfīذَٰلِكَthatdhālikaلَـَٔايَةًۭsurely, is a Signlaāyatanلِّكُلِّfor everylikulliعَبْدٍۢslaveʿabdinمُّنِيبٍۢwho turns (to Allah)munībin٩
Ne voient-ils donc pas ce qu’il y a comme ciel et comme terre devant et derrière eux ? Si Nous voulions, Nous ferions au la terre les engloutisse, ou que des morceaux du ciel tombent sur eux. Il y a en cela une preuve pour tout serviteur repentant.
34:10
۞ وَلَقَدْAnd certainlywalaqadءَاتَيْنَاWe gaveātaynāدَاوُۥدَDawooddāwūdaمِنَّاfrom Usminnāفَضْلًۭا ۖBountyfaḍlanيَـٰجِبَالُO mountainsyājibāluأَوِّبِىRepeat praisesawwibīمَعَهُۥwith himmaʿahuوَٱلطَّيْرَ ۖand the birdswal-ṭayraوَأَلَنَّاAnd We made pliablewa-alannāلَهُfor himlahuٱلْحَدِيدَ[the] ironl-ḥadīda١٠
Nous avons certes accordé une grâce à David de notre part. Ô montagnes et oiseaux, répétez avec lui (les louanges d’Allah). Et pour lui, Nous avons amolli le fer.
34:11
أَنِThataniٱعْمَلْmakeiʿ'malسَـٰبِغَـٰتٍۢfull coats of mailsābighātinوَقَدِّرْand measure preciselywaqaddirفِى[of]fīٱلسَّرْدِ ۖthe links (of armor)l-sardiوَٱعْمَلُوا۟and workwa-iʿ'malūصَـٰلِحًا ۖrighteousnessṣāliḥanإِنِّىIndeed, I Aminnīبِمَاof whatbimāتَعْمَلُونَyou dotaʿmalūnaبَصِيرٌۭAll-Seerbaṣīrun١١
(en lui disant) : "Fabrique des cottes de mailles complètes et mesure bien les mailles." Et faites le bien. Je suis Clairvoyant sur ce que vous faites.
34:12
وَلِسُلَيْمَـٰنَAnd to Sulaimanwalisulaymānaٱلرِّيحَthe wind l-rīḥaغُدُوُّهَاits morning courseghuduwwuhāشَهْرٌۭ(was) a monthshahrunوَرَوَاحُهَاand its afternoon coursewarawāḥuhāشَهْرٌۭ ۖ(was) a monthshahrunوَأَسَلْنَاand We caused to flowwa-asalnāلَهُۥfor himlahuعَيْنَa springʿaynaٱلْقِطْرِ ۖ(of) molten copperl-qiṭ'riوَمِنَAnd [of]waminaٱلْجِنِّthe jinnl-jiniمَنwhomanيَعْمَلُworkedyaʿmaluبَيْنَbefore himbaynaيَدَيْهِbefore himyadayhiبِإِذْنِby the permissionbi-idh'niرَبِّهِۦ ۖ(of) his LordrabbihiوَمَنAnd whoeverwamanيَزِغْdeviatedyazighمِنْهُمْamong themmin'humعَنْfromʿanأَمْرِنَاOur CommandamrināنُذِقْهُWe will make him tastenudhiq'huمِنْofminعَذَابِ(the) punishmentʿadhābiٱلسَّعِيرِ(of) the Blazel-saʿīri١٢
Et à Salomon (Nous avons assujetti) le vent, dont le parcours du matin équivaut à un mois (de marche) et le parcours du soir, un mois aussi. Et pour lui nous avons fait couler la source de cuivre. Et parmi les djinns il y en a qui travaillaient sous ses ordres, par permission de son Seigneur. Quiconque d’entre eux, cependant, déviait de Notre ordre, Nous lui faisions goûter le châtiment de la fournaise.
34:13
يَعْمَلُونَThey workedyaʿmalūnaلَهُۥfor himlahuمَاwhatmāيَشَآءُhe willedyashāuمِنofminمَّحَـٰرِيبَelevated chambersmaḥārībaوَتَمَـٰثِيلَand statueswatamāthīlaوَجِفَانٍۢand bowlswajifāninكَٱلْجَوَابِlike reservoirskal-jawābiوَقُدُورٍۢand cooking-potswaqudūrinرَّاسِيَـٰتٍ ۚfixedrāsiyātinٱعْمَلُوٓا۟Workiʿ'malūءَالَO familyālaدَاوُۥدَ(of) Dawooddāwūdaشُكْرًۭا ۚ(in) gratitudeshuk'ranوَقَلِيلٌۭBut fewwaqalīlunمِّنْofminعِبَادِىَMy slavesʿibādiyaٱلشَّكُورُ(are) gratefull-shakūru١٣
Ils exécutaient pour lui ce qu’il voulait : sanctuaires, statues , plateaux comme des bassins et marmites bien ancrées. "Ô famille de David, œuvrez par gratitude", alors qu’il y a peu de Mes serviteurs qui sont reconnaissants.
34:14
فَلَمَّاThen whenfalammāقَضَيْنَاWe decreedqaḍaynāعَلَيْهِfor himʿalayhiٱلْمَوْتَthe deathl-mawtaمَاnotmāدَلَّهُمْindicated to themdallahumعَلَىٰ[on]ʿalāمَوْتِهِۦٓhis deathmawtihiإِلَّاexceptillāدَآبَّةُa creaturedābbatuٱلْأَرْضِ(of) the earthl-arḍiتَأْكُلُeatingtakuluمِنسَأَتَهُۥ ۖhis staffminsa-atahuفَلَمَّاBut whenfalammāخَرَّhe fell downkharraتَبَيَّنَتِbecame cleartabayyanatiٱلْجِنُّ(to) the jinnl-jinuأَنthatanلَّوْiflawكَانُوا۟they hadkānūيَعْلَمُونَknownyaʿlamūnaٱلْغَيْبَthe unseenl-ghaybaمَاnotmāلَبِثُوا۟they (would have) remainedlabithūفِىinfīٱلْعَذَابِthe punishmentl-ʿadhābiٱلْمُهِينِhumiliatingl-muhīni١٤
Puis, quand Nous décidâmes sa mort, il n’y eut pour les avertir de sa mort que "la bête de terre", qui rongea sa canne. Puis lorsqu’il s’écroula, il apparut de toute évidence aux djinns que s’ils savaient vraiment l’inconnu, ils ne seraient pas restés dans le supplice humiliant [de la servitude] .
34:15
لَقَدْCertainlylaqadكَانَ(there) waskānaلِسَبَإٍۢfor Sabalisaba-inفِىinfīمَسْكَنِهِمْtheir dwelling placemaskanihimءَايَةٌۭ ۖa sign:āyatunجَنَّتَانِTwo gardensjannatāniعَنonʿanيَمِينٍۢ(the) rightyamīninوَشِمَالٍۢ ۖand (on the) leftwashimālinكُلُوا۟Eatkulūمِنfromminرِّزْقِ(the) provisionriz'qiرَبِّكُمْ(of) your Lordrabbikumوَٱشْكُرُوا۟and be gratefulwa-ush'kurūلَهُۥ ۚto HimlahuبَلْدَةٌۭA landbaldatunطَيِّبَةٌۭgoodṭayyibatunوَرَبٌّand a LordwarabbunغَفُورٌۭOft-Forgivingghafūrun١٥
Il y avait assurément, pour la tribu de Saba˓ un Signe dans leurs habitats; deux jardin, l’un à droit et l’autre à gauche. "Mangez de ce que votre Seigneur vous a attribué, et soyez Lui reconnaissants: une bonne contrée et un Seigneur Pardonneur".
34:16
فَأَعْرَضُوا۟But they turned awayfa-aʿraḍūفَأَرْسَلْنَاso We sentfa-arsalnāعَلَيْهِمْupon themʿalayhimسَيْلَ(the) floodsaylaٱلْعَرِمِ(of) the daml-ʿarimiوَبَدَّلْنَـٰهُمand We changed for themwabaddalnāhumبِجَنَّتَيْهِمْtheir two gardensbijannatayhimجَنَّتَيْنِ(with) two gardensjannatayniذَوَاتَىْproducing fruitdhawātayأُكُلٍproducing fruitukulinخَمْطٍۢbitterkhamṭinوَأَثْلٍۢand tamariskswa-athlinوَشَىْءٍۢand (some)thingwashayinمِّنofminسِدْرٍۢlote treessid'rinقَلِيلٍۢfewqalīlin١٦
Mais ils se détournèrent. Nous déchaînâmes contre eux l’inondation du Barrage, et leur changeâmes leurs deux jardins en deux jardins aux fruits amers, tamaris et quelques jujubiers.
34:17
ذَٰلِكَThatdhālikaجَزَيْنَـٰهُمWe recompensed themjazaynāhumبِمَاbecausebimāكَفَرُوا۟ ۖthey disbelievedkafarūوَهَلْAnd notwahalنُجَـٰزِىٓWe recompensenujāzīإِلَّاexceptillāٱلْكَفُورَthe ungratefull-kafūra١٧
Ainsi les rétribuâmes-Nous pour leur mécréance. Saurions-Nous sanctionner un autre que le mécréant ?
34:18
وَجَعَلْنَاAnd We madewajaʿalnāبَيْنَهُمْbetween thembaynahumوَبَيْنَand betweenwabaynaٱلْقُرَىthe townsl-qurāٱلَّتِىwhichallatīبَـٰرَكْنَاWe had blessedbāraknāفِيهَاin itfīhāقُرًۭىtownsquranظَـٰهِرَةًۭvisibleẓāhiratanوَقَدَّرْنَاAnd We determinedwaqaddarnāفِيهَاbetween themfīhāٱلسَّيْرَ ۖthe journeyl-sayraسِيرُوا۟Travelsīrūفِيهَاbetween themfīhāلَيَالِىَ(by) nightlayāliyaوَأَيَّامًاand (by) daywa-ayyāmanءَامِنِينَsafelyāminīna١٨
Et Nous avions placé entre eux et les cités que Nous avions bénies, d’autres cités proéminentes, et Nous avions évalué les étapes de voyage entre elles. "Voyagez entre elles pendant des nuits et des jours, en sécurité."
34:19
فَقَالُوا۟But they saidfaqālūرَبَّنَاOur Lordrabbanāبَـٰعِدْlengthen (the distance)bāʿidبَيْنَbetweenbaynaأَسْفَارِنَاour journeysasfārināوَظَلَمُوٓا۟And they wrongedwaẓalamūأَنفُسَهُمْthemselvesanfusahumفَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمْso We made themfajaʿalnāhumأَحَادِيثَnarrationsaḥādīthaوَمَزَّقْنَـٰهُمْand We dispersed themwamazzaqnāhumكُلَّ(in) a totalkullaمُمَزَّقٍ ۚdispersionmumazzaqinإِنَّIndeedinnaفِىinfīذَٰلِكَthatdhālikaلَـَٔايَـٰتٍۢsurely (are) Signslaāyātinلِّكُلِّfor everyonelikulliصَبَّارٍۢpatientṣabbārinشَكُورٍۢ(and) gratefulshakūrin١٩
Puis ils dirent : "Seigneur, allonge les distances entre nos étapes", et ils se firent du tort à eux-mêmes. Nous fîmes d’eux, donc, des sujets de légendes et les désintégrâmes totalement. Il y a en cela des avertissements pour tout grand endurant et grand reconnaissant.
34:20
وَلَقَدْAnd certainlywalaqadصَدَّقَfound trueṣaddaqaعَلَيْهِمْabout themʿalayhimإِبْلِيسُIblisib'līsuظَنَّهُۥhis assumptionẓannahuفَٱتَّبَعُوهُso they followed himfa-ittabaʿūhuإِلَّاexceptillāفَرِيقًۭاa groupfarīqanمِّنَofminaٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَthe believersl-mu'minīna٢٠
Et Satan a très certainement rendu véridique sa conjecture à leur égard. Ils l’ont suivi donc, sauf un groupe parmi les croyants.
34:21
وَمَاAnd notwamāكَانَwaskānaلَهُۥfor himlahuعَلَيْهِمover themʿalayhimمِّنanyminسُلْطَـٰنٍauthoritysul'ṭāninإِلَّاexceptillāلِنَعْلَمَthat We (might) make evidentlinaʿlamaمَنwhomanيُؤْمِنُbelievesyu'minuبِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِin the Hereafterbil-ākhiratiمِمَّنْfrom (one) whomimmanهُوَ[he]huwaمِنْهَاabout itmin'hāفِى(is) infīشَكٍّۢ ۗdoubtshakkinوَرَبُّكَAnd your Lordwarabbukaعَلَىٰoverʿalāكُلِّallkulliشَىْءٍthingsshayinحَفِيظٌۭ(is) a Guardianḥafīẓun٢١
Et pourtant il n’avait sur eux aucun pouvoir si ce n’est que Nous voulions distinguer celui qui croyait en l’au-delà et celui qui doutait. Ton Seigneur, cependant, assure la sauvegarde de toute chose.
34:22
قُلِSayquliٱدْعُوا۟Call uponid'ʿūٱلَّذِينَthose whomalladhīnaزَعَمْتُمyou claimzaʿamtumمِّنbesidesminدُونِbesidesdūniٱللَّهِ ۖAllahl-lahiلَاNotlāيَمْلِكُونَthey possessyamlikūnaمِثْقَالَ(the) weightmith'qālaذَرَّةٍۢ(of) an atomdharratinفِىinfīٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِthe heavensl-samāwātiوَلَاand notwalāفِىinfīٱلْأَرْضِthe earthl-arḍiوَمَاand notwamāلَهُمْfor themlahumفِيهِمَاin both of themfīhimāمِنanyminشِرْكٍۢpartnershipshir'kinوَمَاand notwamāلَهُۥfor Himlahuمِنْهُمfrom themmin'humمِّنanyminظَهِيرٍۢsupporterẓahīrin٢٢
Dis : "Invoquez ceux qu’en dehors d’Allah vous prétendez [être des divinités]. Ils ne possèdent même pas le poids d’un atome, ni dans les cieux ni sur la terre. Ils n’ont jamais été associés à leur création et Il n’a personne parmi eux pour Le soutenir."
34:23
وَلَاAnd notwalāتَنفَعُbenefitstanfaʿuٱلشَّفَـٰعَةُthe intercessionl-shafāʿatuعِندَهُۥٓwith Himʿindahuإِلَّاexceptillāلِمَنْfor (one) whomlimanأَذِنَHe permitsadhinaلَهُۥ ۚfor himlahuحَتَّىٰٓUntilḥattāإِذَاwhenidhāفُزِّعَfear is removedfuzziʿaعَنonʿanقُلُوبِهِمْtheir heartsqulūbihimقَالُوا۟they will sayqālūمَاذَاWhat is that mādhāقَالَyour Lord has saidqālaرَبُّكُمْ ۖyour Lord has saidrabbukumقَالُوا۟They will sayqālūٱلْحَقَّ ۖThe truthl-ḥaqaوَهُوَAnd Hewahuwaٱلْعَلِىُّ(is) the Most Highl-ʿaliyuٱلْكَبِيرُthe Most Greatl-kabīru٢٣
L’intercession auprès de Lui ne profite qu’à celui qui en faveur duquel Il la permet. Quand ensuite la frayeur se sera éloignée de leurs cœurs, ils diront : "Qu’a dit votre Seigneur ?" Ils répondront : "La Vérité ; C’est Lui le Sublime, le Grand."
34:24
۞ قُلْSayqulمَنWhomanيَرْزُقُكُمprovides (for) youyarzuqukumمِّنَfromminaٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِthe heavensl-samāwātiوَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖand the earthwal-arḍiقُلِSayquliٱللَّهُ ۖAllahl-lahuوَإِنَّآAnd indeed, wewa-innāأَوْorawإِيَّاكُمْyouiyyākumلَعَلَىٰ(are) surely uponlaʿalāهُدًىguidancehudanأَوْorawفِىinfīضَلَـٰلٍۢerrorḍalālinمُّبِينٍۢclearmubīnin٢٤
Dis : "Qui vous nourrit du ciel et de la terre ?" Dis : "Allah. C’est nous ou bien vous qui sommes sur une bonne voie, ou dans un égarement manifeste."
34:25
قُلSayqulلَّاNotlāتُسْـَٔلُونَyou will be askedtus'alūnaعَمَّآabout whatʿammāأَجْرَمْنَاsins we committedajramnāوَلَاand notwalāنُسْـَٔلُwe will be askednus'aluعَمَّاabout whatʿammāتَعْمَلُونَyou dotaʿmalūna٢٥
Dis : "Vous ne serez pas interrogés sur les crimes que nous avons commis, et nous ne serons pas interrogés sur ce que vous faites."
34:26
قُلْSayqulيَجْمَعُWill gatheryajmaʿuبَيْنَنَاus togetherbaynanāرَبُّنَاour LordrabbunāثُمَّthenthummaيَفْتَحُHe will judgeyaftaḥuبَيْنَنَاbetween usbaynanāبِٱلْحَقِّin truthbil-ḥaqiوَهُوَAnd Hewahuwaٱلْفَتَّاحُ(is) the Judgel-fatāḥuٱلْعَلِيمُthe All-Knowingl-ʿalīmu٢٦
Dis : "Notre Seigneur nous réunira, puis Il tranchera entre nous, avec la vérité, car c’est Lui le Grand Juge, l’Omniscient."
34:27
قُلْSayqulأَرُونِىَShow mearūniyaٱلَّذِينَthose whomalladhīnaأَلْحَقْتُمyou have joinedalḥaqtumبِهِۦwith Himbihiشُرَكَآءَ ۖ(as) partnersshurakāaكَلَّا ۚBy no meanskallāبَلْNaybalهُوَHehuwaٱللَّهُ(is) Allahl-lahuٱلْعَزِيزُthe All-Mightyl-ʿazīzuٱلْحَكِيمُthe All-Wisel-ḥakīmu٢٧
Dis : "Montrez-moi ceux que vous Lui avez donnés comme associés. Eh bien, non! C’est plutôt Lui, Allah, le Puissant, le Sage."
34:28
وَمَآAnd notwamāأَرْسَلْنَـٰكَWe have sent youarsalnākaإِلَّاexceptillāكَآفَّةًۭcomprehensivelykāffatanلِّلنَّاسِto mankindlilnnāsiبَشِيرًۭا(as) a giver of glad tidingsbashīranوَنَذِيرًۭاand (as) a warnerwanadhīranوَلَـٰكِنَّButwalākinnaأَكْثَرَmostaktharaٱلنَّاسِ[the] peoplel-nāsiلَا(do) notlāيَعْلَمُونَknowyaʿlamūna٢٨
Et Nous ne t’avons envoyé qu’en tant qu’annonciateur et avertisseur pour toute l’humanité. Mais la plupart des gens ne savent pas.
34:29
وَيَقُولُونَAnd they saywayaqūlūnaمَتَىٰWhenmatāهَـٰذَا(is) thishādhāٱلْوَعْدُpromisel-waʿduإِنifinكُنتُمْyou arekuntumصَـٰدِقِينَtruthfulṣādiqīna٢٩
Et ils disent : "A quand cette promesse, si vous êtes véridiques ?"
34:30
قُلSayqulلَّكُمFor youlakumمِّيعَادُ(is the) appointmentmīʿāduيَوْمٍۢ(of) a Dayyawminلَّاnotlāتَسْتَـْٔخِرُونَyou can postponetastakhirūnaعَنْهُ[of] itʿanhuسَاعَةًۭ(for) an hoursāʿatanوَلَاand notwalāتَسْتَقْدِمُونَ(can) you precede (it)tastaqdimūna٣٠
Dis : "Le rendez-vous est pour un jour que vous ne saurez retarder d’une heure, ni avancer !"
34:31
وَقَالَAnd saywaqālaٱلَّذِينَthose whoalladhīnaكَفَرُوا۟disbelievekafarūلَنNever willlanنُّؤْمِنَwe believenu'minaبِهَـٰذَاin thisbihādhāٱلْقُرْءَانِQuranl-qur'āniوَلَاand notwalāبِٱلَّذِىin (that) whichbi-alladhīبَيْنَ(was) before itbaynaيَدَيْهِ ۗ(was) before ityadayhiوَلَوْBut ifwalawتَرَىٰٓyou (could) seetarāإِذِwhenidhiٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَthe wrongdoersl-ẓālimūnaمَوْقُوفُونَwill be made to standmawqūfūnaعِندَbeforeʿindaرَبِّهِمْtheir Lordrabbihimيَرْجِعُwill throw backyarjiʿuبَعْضُهُمْsome of thembaʿḍuhumإِلَىٰtoilāبَعْضٍothersbaʿḍinٱلْقَوْلَthe wordl-qawlaيَقُولُWill sayyaqūluٱلَّذِينَthose whoalladhīnaٱسْتُضْعِفُوا۟were oppressedus'tuḍ'ʿifūلِلَّذِينَto those wholilladhīnaٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟were arrogantis'takbarūلَوْلَآIf notlawlāأَنتُمْ(for) youantumلَكُنَّاcertainly we (would) have beenlakunnāمُؤْمِنِينَbelieversmu'minīna٣١
Et ceux qui avaient mécru dirent : "Jamais nous ne croirons à ce Coran ni à ce qui l’a précédé." Et si tu pouvais voir les injustes seront debout devant leur Seigneur, se renvoyant la parole les uns aux autres ! Ceux que l’on considérait comme faibles diront à ceux qui s’enorgueillissaient : "Sans vous, nous aurions certainement été croyants."
34:32
قَالَWill sayqālaٱلَّذِينَthose whoalladhīnaٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟were arrogantis'takbarūلِلَّذِينَto thoselilladhīnaٱسْتُضْعِفُوٓا۟who were oppressedus'tuḍ'ʿifūأَنَحْنُDid weanaḥnuصَدَدْنَـٰكُمْavert youṣadadnākumعَنِfromʿaniٱلْهُدَىٰthe guidancel-hudāبَعْدَafterbaʿdaإِذْwhenidhجَآءَكُم ۖit had come to youjāakumبَلْNaybalكُنتُمyou werekuntumمُّجْرِمِينَcriminalsmuj'rimīna٣٢
Ceux qui s’enorgueillissaient diront à ceux qu’ils considéraient comme faibles : "Est-ce nous qui vous avons repoussés de la bonne direction après qu’elle vous fut venue ? Mais vous étiez plutôt des criminels."
34:33
وَقَالَAnd will saywaqālaٱلَّذِينَthose whoalladhīnaٱسْتُضْعِفُوا۟were oppressedus'tuḍ'ʿifūلِلَّذِينَto those wholilladhīnaٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟were arrogantis'takbarūبَلْNaybalمَكْرُ(it was) a plotmakruٱلَّيْلِ(by) nightal-layliوَٱلنَّهَارِand (by) daywal-nahāriإِذْwhenidhتَأْمُرُونَنَآyou were ordering ustamurūnanāأَنthatanنَّكْفُرَwe disbelievenakfuraبِٱللَّهِin Allahbil-lahiوَنَجْعَلَand we set upwanajʿalaلَهُۥٓfor Himlahuأَندَادًۭا ۚequalsandādanوَأَسَرُّوا۟But they will concealwa-asarrūٱلنَّدَامَةَthe regretl-nadāmataلَمَّاwhenlammāرَأَوُا۟they seera-awūٱلْعَذَابَthe punishmentl-ʿadhābaوَجَعَلْنَاAnd We will putwajaʿalnāٱلْأَغْلَـٰلَshacklesl-aghlālaفِىٓonfīأَعْنَاقِ(the) necksaʿnāqiٱلَّذِينَ(of) those whoalladhīnaكَفَرُوا۟ ۚdisbelievedkafarūهَلْWillhalيُجْزَوْنَthey be recompensedyuj'zawnaإِلَّاexceptillāمَا(for) whatmāكَانُوا۟they used tokānūيَعْمَلُونَdoyaʿmalūna٣٣
Et ceux que l’on considérait comme faibles diront à ceux qui s’enorgueillissaient: "C’était votre stratagème, plutôt, nuit et jours, de nous commander de ne pas croire en Allah et de Lui donner des égaux." Et ils cacheront leur regret quand ils verront le châtiment. Nous placerons des carcans aux cous de ceux qui ont mécru: Seront-ils rétribués autrement que selon ce qu’ils œuvraient ?"
34:34
وَمَآAnd notwamāأَرْسَلْنَاWe sentarsalnāفِىtofīقَرْيَةٍۢa townqaryatinمِّنanyminنَّذِيرٍwarnernadhīrinإِلَّاbutillāقَالَsaidqālaمُتْرَفُوهَآits wealthy onesmut'rafūhāإِنَّاIndeed weinnāبِمَآin whatbimāأُرْسِلْتُمyou have been sentur'sil'tumبِهِۦwithbihiكَـٰفِرُونَ(are) disbelieverskāfirūna٣٤
Et Nous n’avons envoyé aucun avertisseur dans une cité sans que ses gens aisés n’aient dit : "Nous ne croyons pas au message avec lequel vous êtes envoyés."
34:35
وَقَالُوا۟And they saywaqālūنَحْنُWenaḥnuأَكْثَرُ(have) moreaktharuأَمْوَٰلًۭاwealthamwālanوَأَوْلَـٰدًۭاand childrenwa-awlādanوَمَاand notwamāنَحْنُwenaḥnuبِمُعَذَّبِينَwill be punishedbimuʿadhabīna٣٥
Et ils dirent : "Nous avons d’avantage de richesses et d’enfants et nous ne serons pas châtiés."
34:36
قُلْSayqulإِنَّIndeedinnaرَبِّىmy Lordrabbīيَبْسُطُextendsyabsuṭuٱلرِّزْقَthe provisionl-riz'qaلِمَنfor whomlimanيَشَآءُHe willsyashāuوَيَقْدِرُand restrictswayaqdiruوَلَـٰكِنَّbutwalākinnaأَكْثَرَmostaktharaٱلنَّاسِ[the] peoplel-nāsiلَا(do) notlāيَعْلَمُونَknowyaʿlamūna٣٦
Dis : "Mon Seigneur dispense avec largesse ou restreint Ses dons à qui Il veut. Mais la plupart des gens ne savent pas."
34:37
وَمَآAnd notwamāأَمْوَٰلُكُمْyour wealthamwālukumوَلَآand notwalāأَوْلَـٰدُكُمyour childrenawlādukumبِٱلَّتِى[that]bi-allatīتُقَرِّبُكُمْwill bring you closetuqarribukumعِندَنَاto Usʿindanāزُلْفَىٰٓ(in) positionzul'fāإِلَّاbutillāمَنْwhoevermanءَامَنَbelievesāmanaوَعَمِلَand doeswaʿamilaصَـٰلِحًۭاrighteousnessṣāliḥanفَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَthen thosefa-ulāikaلَهُمْfor themlahumجَزَآءُ(will be) rewardjazāuٱلضِّعْفِtwo-foldl-ḍiʿ'fiبِمَاfor whatbimāعَمِلُوا۟they didʿamilūوَهُمْand theywahumفِى(will be) infīٱلْغُرُفَـٰتِthe high dwellingsl-ghurufātiءَامِنُونَsecureāminūna٣٧
Ni vos biens ni vos enfants ne vous rapprocherons à proximité de Nous. Sauf celui qui croit et œuvre dans le bien. Ceux-là auront une double récompense pour ce qu’ils œuvraient, tandis qu’ils seront en sécurités, aux étages supérieurs (du Paradis).
34:38
وَٱلَّذِينَAnd those whowa-alladhīnaيَسْعَوْنَstriveyasʿawnaفِىٓagainstfīءَايَـٰتِنَاOur Versesāyātināمُعَـٰجِزِينَ(to) cause failuremuʿājizīnaأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَthoseulāikaفِىintofīٱلْعَذَابِthe punishmentl-ʿadhābiمُحْضَرُونَ(will be) broughtmuḥ'ḍarūna٣٨
Et quant à ceux qui s’efforcent à rendre Nos versets inefficient, ceux-là seront forcés de se présenter au châtiment.
34:39
قُلْSayqulإِنَّIndeedinnaرَبِّىmy Lordrabbīيَبْسُطُextendsyabsuṭuٱلرِّزْقَthe provisionl-riz'qaلِمَنfor whomlimanيَشَآءُHe willsyashāuمِنْofminعِبَادِهِۦHis slavesʿibādihiوَيَقْدِرُand restrictswayaqdiruلَهُۥ ۚfor himlahuوَمَآBut whatwamāأَنفَقْتُمyou spendanfaqtumمِّنofminشَىْءٍۢanythingshayinفَهُوَthen Hefahuwaيُخْلِفُهُۥ ۖwill compensate ityukh'lifuhuوَهُوَand Hewahuwaخَيْرُ(is the) Bestkhayruٱلرَّٰزِقِينَ(of) the Providersl-rāziqīna٣٩
Dis : "Mon Seigneur dispense avec largesse ou restreint Ses dons à ce qui Il veut parmi Ses serviteurs. Et toute dépense que vous faites [dans le bien], Il la remplace, et c’est Lui le Meilleur des donateurs."
34:40
وَيَوْمَAnd (the) DaywayawmaيَحْشُرُهُمْHe will gather themyaḥshuruhumجَمِيعًۭاalljamīʿanثُمَّthenthummaيَقُولُHe will sayyaqūluلِلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِto the Angelslil'malāikatiأَهَـٰٓؤُلَآءِWere these youahāulāiإِيَّاكُمْWere these youiyyākumكَانُوا۟they werekānūيَعْبُدُونَworshippingyaʿbudūna٤٠
Et un jour Il les rassemblera tous. Puis Il dira aux Anges : "Est-ce vous que ces gens-là adoraient ?"
34:41
قَالُوا۟They will sayqālūسُبْحَـٰنَكَGlory be to Yousub'ḥānakaأَنتَYouantaوَلِيُّنَا(are) our Protectorwaliyyunāمِنnot themminدُونِهِم ۖnot themdūnihimبَلْNaybalكَانُوا۟they usedkānūيَعْبُدُونَ(to) worshipyaʿbudūnaٱلْجِنَّ ۖthe jinnl-jinaأَكْثَرُهُمmost of themaktharuhumبِهِمin thembihimمُّؤْمِنُونَ(were) believersmu'minūna٤١
Ils diront : "Gloire à Toi ! Tu es notre Allié en dehors d’eux. Ils adoraient plutôt les djinns, en qui la plupart d’entre eux croyaient.
34:42
فَٱلْيَوْمَBut todayfal-yawmaلَاnotlāيَمْلِكُpossess poweryamlikuبَعْضُكُمْsome of youbaʿḍukumلِبَعْضٍۢon otherslibaʿḍinنَّفْعًۭاto benefitnafʿanوَلَاand notwalāضَرًّۭاto harmḍarranوَنَقُولُand We will saywanaqūluلِلَّذِينَto thoselilladhīnaظَلَمُوا۟who wrongedẓalamūذُوقُوا۟Tastedhūqūعَذَابَ(the) punishmentʿadhābaٱلنَّارِ(of) the Firel-nāriٱلَّتِىwhichallatīكُنتُمyou usedkuntumبِهَاto [it]bihāتُكَذِّبُونَdenytukadhibūna٤٢
Ce jour-là donc, vous n’aurez aucun moyen pour profiter ou nuire les uns aux autres, tandis que Nous dirons aux injustes : "Goûtez au châtiment du Feu que vous traitiez de mensonge."
34:43
وَإِذَاAnd whenwa-idhāتُتْلَىٰare recitedtut'lāعَلَيْهِمْto themʿalayhimءَايَـٰتُنَاOur Versesāyātunāبَيِّنَـٰتٍۢclearbayyinātinقَالُوا۟they sayqālūمَاNotmāهَـٰذَآ(is) thishādhāإِلَّاbutillāرَجُلٌۭa manrajulunيُرِيدُwho wishesyurīduأَنtoanيَصُدَّكُمْhinder youyaṣuddakumعَمَّاfrom whatʿammāكَانَusedkānaيَعْبُدُ(to) worshipyaʿbuduءَابَآؤُكُمْyour forefathersābāukumوَقَالُوا۟And they saywaqālūمَاNotmāهَـٰذَآ(is) thishādhāإِلَّآexceptillāإِفْكٌۭa lieif'kunمُّفْتَرًۭى ۚinventedmuf'taranوَقَالَAnd saidwaqālaٱلَّذِينَthose whoalladhīnaكَفَرُوا۟disbelievedkafarūلِلْحَقِّabout the truthlil'ḥaqqiلَمَّاwhenlammāجَآءَهُمْit came to themjāahumإِنْNotinهَـٰذَآ(is) thishādhāإِلَّاexceptillāسِحْرٌۭa magicsiḥ'runمُّبِينٌۭobviousmubīnun٤٣
Et quand Nos versets édifiants leur sont récités, ils disent : "Ce n’est là qu’un homme qui veut vous repousser de ce que vos ancêtres adoraient." Et ils disent : "Ceci (Le Coran) n’est qu’un mensonge inventé." Et ceux qui ne croient pas disent de la Vérité quand elle leur vient : "Ce n’est là qu’une magie évidente !"
34:44
وَمَآAnd notwamāءَاتَيْنَـٰهُمWe (had) given themātaynāhumمِّنanyminكُتُبٍۢScriptureskutubinيَدْرُسُونَهَا ۖwhich they could studyyadrusūnahāوَمَآand notwamāأَرْسَلْنَآWe sentarsalnāإِلَيْهِمْto themilayhimقَبْلَكَbefore youqablakaمِنanyminنَّذِيرٍۢwarnernadhīrin٤٤
[Pourtant] Nous ne leurs avons pas donné de livres à étudier. Et Nous ne leur avons envoyés avant toi aucun avertisseur.
34:45
وَكَذَّبَAnd deniedwakadhabaٱلَّذِينَthose whoalladhīnaمِن(were) before themminقَبْلِهِمْ(were) before themqablihimوَمَاand notwamāبَلَغُوا۟they have attainedbalaghūمِعْشَارَa tenthmiʿ'shāraمَآ(of) whatmāءَاتَيْنَـٰهُمْWe (had) given themātaynāhumفَكَذَّبُوا۟But they deniedfakadhabūرُسُلِى ۖMy Messengersrusulīفَكَيْفَso howfakayfaكَانَwaskānaنَكِيرِMy rejectionnakīri٤٥
Ceux d’avant eux avaient [aussi] démenti (leurs Messagers). [Les Mecquois] n’ont pas atteint le dixième de ce que Nous leur avons donné [en force et en richesse]. Ils traitaient Mes Messagers de menteurs. Et quelle réprobation fut la mienne !
34:46
۞ قُلْSayqulإِنَّمَآOnlyinnamāأَعِظُكُمI advise youaʿiẓukumبِوَٰحِدَةٍ ۖfor one (thing)biwāḥidatinأَنthatanتَقُومُوا۟you standtaqūmūلِلَّهِfor Allahlillahiمَثْنَىٰ(in) pairsmathnāوَفُرَٰدَىٰand (as) individualswafurādāثُمَّthenthummaتَتَفَكَّرُوا۟ ۚreflecttatafakkarūمَاNotmāبِصَاحِبِكُم(is in) your companionbiṣāḥibikumمِّنanyminجِنَّةٍ ۚmadnessjinnatinإِنْNotinهُوَhehuwaإِلَّا(is) exceptillāنَذِيرٌۭa warnernadhīrunلَّكُمfor youlakumبَيْنَbeforebaynaيَدَىْbeforeyadayعَذَابٍۢa punishmentʿadhābinشَدِيدٍۢsevereshadīdin٤٦
Dis : "Je vous exhorte seulement à une chose: que pour Allah vous vous leviez, par deux ou isolément, et qu’ensuite vous réfléchissiez. Votre compagnon (Mohammed) n’est nullement possédé : il n’est pour vous qu’un avertisseur annonçant un dur châtiment."
34:47
قُلْSayqulمَاNotmāسَأَلْتُكُمI ask yousa-altukumمِّنْforminأَجْرٍۢany paymentajrinفَهُوَbut it (is)fahuwaلَكُمْ ۖfor youlakumإِنْNotinأَجْرِىَ(is) my paymentajriyaإِلَّاbutillāعَلَىfromʿalāٱللَّهِ ۖAllahl-lahiوَهُوَAnd Hewahuwaعَلَىٰ(is) overʿalāكُلِّallkulliشَىْءٍۢthingsshayinشَهِيدٌۭa Witnessshahīdun٤٧
Dis : "Ce que je vous demande comme salaire, c’est pour vous- mêmes. Car mon salaire n’incombe qu’à Allah. Il est Témoin de toute chose."
34:48
قُلْSayqulإِنَّIndeedinnaرَبِّىmy Lordrabbīيَقْذِفُprojectsyaqdhifuبِٱلْحَقِّthe truthbil-ḥaqiعَلَّـٰمُ(the) All-Knowerʿallāmuٱلْغُيُوبِ(of) the unseenl-ghuyūbi٤٨
Dis : "Certes, mon Seigneur lance la Vérité, [à Ses Messagers]. Il est Parfait Connaisseur des inconnaissables."
34:49
قُلْSayqulجَآءَHas comejāaٱلْحَقُّthe truthl-ḥaquوَمَاand notwamāيُبْدِئُ(can) originateyub'di-uٱلْبَـٰطِلُthe falsehoodl-bāṭiluوَمَاand notwamāيُعِيدُrepeatyuʿīdu٤٩
Dis : "La Vérité [l’islam] est venue. Et le Faux [la mécréance] ne peut rien commencer ni renouveler."
34:50
قُلْSayqulإِنIfinضَلَلْتُI errḍalaltuفَإِنَّمَآthen onlyfa-innamāأَضِلُّI will erraḍilluعَلَىٰagainstʿalāنَفْسِى ۖmyselfnafsīوَإِنِBut ifwa-iniٱهْتَدَيْتُI am guidedih'tadaytuفَبِمَاthen it is by whatfabimāيُوحِىٓrevealsyūḥīإِلَىَّto meilayyaرَبِّىٓ ۚmy LordrabbīإِنَّهُۥIndeed, Heinnahuسَمِيعٌۭ(is) All-HearersamīʿunقَرِيبٌۭEver-Nearqarībun٥٠
Dis : "Si je m’égare, je ne m’égare qu’à mes dépens; tandis que si je me guide, alors c’est grâce à ce que Mon Seigneur m’a révèle, car Il est Audient et Proche."
34:51
وَلَوْAnd ifwalawتَرَىٰٓyou (could) seetarāإِذْwhenidhفَزِعُوا۟they will be terrifiedfaziʿūفَلَاbut (there will be) nofalāفَوْتَescapefawtaوَأُخِذُوا۟and they will be seizedwa-ukhidhūمِنfromminمَّكَانٍۢa placemakāninقَرِيبٍۢnearqarībin٥١
Si tu voyais quand ils seront saisis de peur, - pas d’échappatoires pour eux, - et ils seront saisis de près !
34:52
وَقَالُوٓا۟And they will saywaqālūءَامَنَّاWe believeāmannāبِهِۦin itbihiوَأَنَّىٰBut howwa-annāلَهُمُfor themlahumuٱلتَّنَاوُشُ(will be) the receivingl-tanāwushuمِنfromminمَّكَانٍۭa placemakāninبَعِيدٍۢfar offbaʿīdin٥٢
Ils diront alors : "Nous croyons en lui ", - Mais comment atteindront-ils la foi de si loin ?
34:53
وَقَدْAnd certainlywaqadكَفَرُوا۟they disbelievedkafarūبِهِۦin itbihiمِنbeforeminقَبْلُ ۖbeforeqabluوَيَقْذِفُونَAnd they utter conjectureswayaqdhifūnaبِٱلْغَيْبِabout the unseenbil-ghaybiمِنfromminمَّكَانٍۭa placemakāninبَعِيدٍۢfar offbaʿīdin٥٣
