البلد

La sourate Al-Balad (البلد) est le 90e chapitre du Saint Coran — une sourate Mecquoise de 20 versets. Les sourates mecquoises ont été révélées avant l'émigration du Prophète Muhammad (paix sur lui) à Médine et mettent souvent l'accent sur la foi, l'unicité de Dieu et l'au-delà.

Bismillah
بِسْمِIn (the) namebis'miٱللَّهِ(of) Allahl-lahiٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِthe Most Graciousl-raḥmāniٱلرَّحِيمِthe Most Mercifull-raḥīmi
Au nom d'Allah, le Tout Miséricordieux, le Très Miséricordieux
90:1
لَآNaylāأُقْسِمُI swearuq'simuبِهَـٰذَاby thisbihādhāٱلْبَلَدِcityl-baladi١
Non !... Je jure par cette Cité !
90:2
وَأَنتَAnd youwa-antaحِلٌّۢ(are) free (to dwell)ḥillunبِهَـٰذَاin thisbihādhāٱلْبَلَدِcityl-baladi٢
et toi, tu es un résident dans cette cité -
90:3
وَوَالِدٍۢAnd the begetterwawālidinوَمَاand whatwamāوَلَدَhe begotwalada٣
Et par le père et ce qu’il engendre !
90:4
لَقَدْCertainlylaqadخَلَقْنَاWe have createdkhalaqnāٱلْإِنسَـٰنَmanl-insānaفِى(to be) infīكَبَدٍhardshipkabadin٤
Nous avons, certes, créé l’homme pour une vie de lutte.
90:5
أَيَحْسَبُDoes he thinkayaḥsabuأَنthatanلَّنnotlanيَقْدِرَhas poweryaqdiraعَلَيْهِover himʿalayhiأَحَدٌۭanyoneaḥadun٥
Pense-t-il que personne ne pourra rien contre lui ?
90:6
يَقُولُHe will sayyaqūluأَهْلَكْتُI have squanderedahlaktuمَالًۭاwealthmālanلُّبَدًاabundantlubadan٦
Il dit : "J’ai gaspillé beaucoup de biens."
90:7
أَيَحْسَبُDoes he thinkayaḥsabuأَنthatanلَّمْnotlamيَرَهُۥٓsees himyarahuأَحَدٌanyoneaḥadun٧
Pense-t-il que nul ne l’a vu?
90:8
أَلَمْHave notalamنَجْعَلWe madenajʿalلَّهُۥfor himlahuعَيْنَيْنِtwo eyesʿaynayni٨
Ne lui avons-Nous pas assigné deux yeux,
90:9
وَلِسَانًۭاAnd a tonguewalisānanوَشَفَتَيْنِand two lipswashafatayni٩
et une langue et deux lèvres ?
90:10
وَهَدَيْنَـٰهُAnd shown himwahadaynāhuٱلنَّجْدَيْنِthe two waysl-najdayni١٠
Ne l’avons-Nous pas guidé aux deux voies .
90:11
فَلَاBut notfalāٱقْتَحَمَhe has attemptediq'taḥamaٱلْعَقَبَةَthe steep pathl-ʿaqabata١١
Or, il ne s’engage pas dans la voie difficile !
90:12
وَمَآAnd whatwamāأَدْرَىٰكَcan make you knowadrākaمَاwhatmāٱلْعَقَبَةُthe steep path (is)l-ʿaqabatu١٢
Et qui te dira ce qu’est la voie difficile ?
90:13
فَكُّ(It is) freeingfakkuرَقَبَةٍa neckraqabatin١٣
C’est délier un joug [affranchir un esclave],
90:14
أَوْOrawإِطْعَـٰمٌۭfeedingiṭ'ʿāmunفِىinfīيَوْمٍۢa dayyawminذِىofdhīمَسْغَبَةٍۢsevere hungermasghabatin١٤
ou nourrir, en un jour de famine,
90:15
يَتِيمًۭاAn orphanyatīmanذَاofdhāمَقْرَبَةٍnear relationshipmaqrabatin١٥
un orphelin proche parent.
90:16
أَوْOrawمِسْكِينًۭاa needy personmis'kīnanذَاindhāمَتْرَبَةٍۢmiserymatrabatin١٦
ou un pauvre dans le dénouement.
90:17
ثُمَّThenthummaكَانَhe iskānaمِنَofminaٱلَّذِينَthose whoalladhīnaءَامَنُوا۟believeāmanūوَتَوَاصَوْا۟and enjoin (each other)watawāṣawبِٱلصَّبْرِto patiencebil-ṣabriوَتَوَاصَوْا۟and enjoin (each other)watawāṣawبِٱلْمَرْحَمَةِto compassionbil-marḥamati١٧
Et c’est être, en outre, de ceux qui croient et s’enjoignent mutuellement l’endurance, et s’enjoignent mutuellement la miséricorde.
90:18
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَThoseulāikaأَصْحَـٰبُ(are the) companionsaṣḥābuٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ(of) the right (hand)l-maymanati١٨
Ceux-là sont les gens de la droite ;
90:19
وَٱلَّذِينَBut those whowa-alladhīnaكَفَرُوا۟disbelievekafarūبِـَٔايَـٰتِنَاin Our Versesbiāyātināهُمْtheyhumأَصْحَـٰبُ(are the) companionsaṣḥābuٱلْمَشْـَٔمَةِ(of) the left (hand)l-mashamati١٩
alors que ceux qui ne croient pas en Nos versets sont les gens de la gauche.
90:20
عَلَيْهِمْOver themʿalayhimنَارٌۭ(will be the) Firenārunمُّؤْصَدَةٌۢclosed inmu'ṣadatun٢٠
Le Feu se refermera sur eux.
