Bismillah
بِسْمِ In (the) name bis'mi
In (the) name
ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah l-lahi
(of) Allah
ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ the Most Gracious l-raḥmāni
the Most Gracious
ٱلرَّحِيمِ the Most Merciful l-raḥīmi
the Most Merciful
Au nom d'Allah, le Tout Miséricordieux, le Très Miséricordieux
66:1
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا O yāayyuhā
O
ٱلنَّبِىُّ Prophet l-nabiyu
Prophet
لِمَ Why (do) lima
Why (do)
تُحَرِّمُ you prohibit tuḥarrimu
you prohibit
مَآ what
what
أَحَلَّ has made lawful aḥalla
has made lawful
ٱللَّهُ Allah l-lahu
Allah
لَكَ ۖ for you laka
for you
تَبْتَغِى seeking tabtaghī
seeking
مَرْضَاتَ (to) please marḍāta
(to) please
أَزْوَٰجِكَ ۚ your wives azwājika
your wives
وَٱللَّهُ And Allah wal-lahu
And Allah
غَفُورٌۭ (is) Oft-Forgiving ghafūrun
(is) Oft-Forgiving
رَّحِيمٌۭ Most Merciful raḥīmun
Most Merciful
١ (1)
(1)
Ô Prophète ! Pourquoi, en recherchant l’agrément de tes femmes, t’interdis-tu ce qu’Allah t’a rendu licite ? Et Allah est Pardonneur, Très Miséricordieux.
66:2
قَدْ Indeed qad
Indeed
فَرَضَ has ordained faraḍa
has ordained
ٱللَّهُ Allah l-lahu
Allah
لَكُمْ for you lakum
for you
تَحِلَّةَ (the) dissolution taḥillata
(the) dissolution
أَيْمَـٰنِكُمْ ۚ (of) your oaths aymānikum
(of) your oaths
وَٱللَّهُ And Allah wal-lahu
And Allah
مَوْلَىٰكُمْ ۖ (is) your Protector mawlākum
(is) your Protector
وَهُوَ and He wahuwa
and He
ٱلْعَلِيمُ (is) the All-Knower l-ʿalīmu
(is) the All-Knower
ٱلْحَكِيمُ the All-Wise l-ḥakīmu
the All-Wise
٢ (2)
(2)
Allah vous a prescrit certes, de vous libérer de vos serments. Allah est votre Maître; et c’est Lui l’Omniscient, le Sage .
66:3
وَإِذْ And when wa-idh
And when
أَسَرَّ confided asarra
confided
ٱلنَّبِىُّ the Prophet l-nabiyu
the Prophet
إِلَىٰ to ilā
to
بَعْضِ one baʿḍi
one
أَزْوَٰجِهِۦ (of) his wives azwājihi
(of) his wives
حَدِيثًۭا a statement ḥadīthan
a statement
فَلَمَّا and when falammā
and when
نَبَّأَتْ she informed nabba-at
she informed
بِهِۦ about it bihi
about it
وَأَظْهَرَهُ and made it apparent wa-aẓharahu
and made it apparent
ٱللَّهُ Allah l-lahu
Allah
عَلَيْهِ to him ʿalayhi
to him
عَرَّفَ he made known ʿarrafa
he made known
بَعْضَهُۥ a part of it baʿḍahu
a part of it
وَأَعْرَضَ and avoided wa-aʿraḍa
and avoided
عَنۢ [of] ʿan
[of]
بَعْضٍۢ ۖ a part baʿḍin
a part
فَلَمَّا Then when falammā
Then when
نَبَّأَهَا he informed her nabba-ahā
he informed her
بِهِۦ about it bihi
about it
قَالَتْ she said qālat
she said
مَنْ Who man
Who
أَنۢبَأَكَ informed you anba-aka
informed you
هَـٰذَا ۖ this hādhā
this
قَالَ He said qāla
He said
نَبَّأَنِىَ Has informed me nabba-aniya
Has informed me
ٱلْعَلِيمُ the All-Knower l-ʿalīmu
the All-Knower
ٱلْخَبِيرُ the All-Aware l-khabīru
the All-Aware
٣ (3)
(3)
Lorsque le Prophète confia un secret à l’une de ses épouses et qu’elle l’eut divulgué et qu’Allah l’en eut informé, celui-ci en fit connaître une partie et passa sur une partie. Puis, quand il l’en eut informée elle dit : "Qui t’en a donné nouvelle ?" Il dit : "C’est l’Omniscient, le Parfaitement Connaisseur qui m’en a avisé."
66:4
إِن If in

تَتُوبَآ you both turn tatūbā
you both turn
إِلَى to ilā
to
ٱللَّهِ Allah l-lahi
Allah
فَقَدْ so indeed faqad
so indeed
صَغَتْ (are) inclined ṣaghat
(are) inclined
قُلُوبُكُمَا ۖ your hearts qulūbukumā
your hearts
وَإِن but if wa-in
but if
تَظَـٰهَرَا you backup each other taẓāharā
you backup each other
عَلَيْهِ against him ʿalayhi
against him
فَإِنَّ then indeed fa-inna
then indeed
ٱللَّهَ Allah l-laha
Allah
هُوَ He huwa
He
مَوْلَىٰهُ (is) his Protector mawlāhu
(is) his Protector
وَجِبْرِيلُ and Jibreel wajib'rīlu
and Jibreel
وَصَـٰلِحُ and (the) righteous waṣāliḥu
and (the) righteous
ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ۖ believers l-mu'minīna
believers
وَٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ and the Angels wal-malāikatu
and the Angels
بَعْدَ after baʿda
after
ذَٰلِكَ that dhālika
that
ظَهِيرٌ (are his) assistants ẓahīrun
(are his) assistants
٤ (4)
(4)
Si vous vous repentez à Allah c’est que vos cœurs ont fléchi. Mais si vous vous soutenez l’une l’autre contre le Prophète, alors ses alliés seront Allah, Gabriel et les vertueux d’entre les croyants, et les Anges sont par surcroît [son] soutien .
66:5
عَسَىٰ Perhaps ʿasā
Perhaps
رَبُّهُۥٓ his Lord rabbuhu
his Lord
إِن if in
if
طَلَّقَكُنَّ he divorced you ṭallaqakunna
he divorced you
أَن [that] an
[that]
يُبْدِلَهُۥٓ He will substitute for him yub'dilahu
He will substitute for him
أَزْوَٰجًا wives azwājan
wives
خَيْرًۭا better khayran
better
مِّنكُنَّ than you minkunna
than you
مُسْلِمَـٰتٍۢ submissive mus'limātin
submissive
مُّؤْمِنَـٰتٍۢ faithful mu'minātin
faithful
قَـٰنِتَـٰتٍۢ obedient qānitātin
obedient
تَـٰٓئِبَـٰتٍ repentant tāibātin
repentant
عَـٰبِدَٰتٍۢ who worship ʿābidātin
who worship
سَـٰٓئِحَـٰتٍۢ who fast sāiḥātin
who fast
ثَيِّبَـٰتٍۢ previously married thayyibātin
previously married
وَأَبْكَارًۭا and virgins wa-abkāran
and virgins
٥ (5)
(5)
S’Ils vous répudie, il se peut que Seigneur lui donne en échange des épouses meilleures que vous, musulmanes, croyantes, obéissantes, repentantes, adoratrices, jeûneuses, déjà mariées ou vierges .
66:6
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا O yāayyuhā
O
ٱلَّذِينَ (you) who alladhīna
(you) who
ءَامَنُوا۟ believe āmanū
believe
قُوٓا۟ Protect
Protect
أَنفُسَكُمْ yourselves anfusakum
yourselves
وَأَهْلِيكُمْ and your families wa-ahlīkum
and your families
نَارًۭا (from) a Fire nāran
(from) a Fire
وَقُودُهَا whose fuel waqūduhā
whose fuel
ٱلنَّاسُ (is) people l-nāsu
(is) people
وَٱلْحِجَارَةُ and stones wal-ḥijāratu
and stones
عَلَيْهَا over it ʿalayhā
over it
مَلَـٰٓئِكَةٌ (are) Angels malāikatun
(are) Angels
غِلَاظٌۭ stern ghilāẓun
stern
شِدَادٌۭ severe shidādun
severe
لَّا not
not
يَعْصُونَ they disobey yaʿṣūna
they disobey
ٱللَّهَ Allah l-laha
Allah
مَآ (in) what
(in) what
أَمَرَهُمْ He Commands them amarahum
He Commands them
وَيَفْعَلُونَ but they do wayafʿalūna
but they do
مَا what
what
يُؤْمَرُونَ they are commanded yu'marūna
they are commanded
٦ (6)
(6)
Ô vous qui avez cru ! Préservez vos personnes et vos familles, d’un Feu dont le combustible sera les gens et les pierres, surveillé par des Anges rudes, durs, ne désobéissant jamais à Allah en ce qu’Il leur commande, et faisant strictement ce qu’on leur ordonne.
66:7
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا O yāayyuhā
O
ٱلَّذِينَ (you) who alladhīna
(you) who
كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieve kafarū
disbelieve
لَا (Do) not
(Do) not
تَعْتَذِرُوا۟ make excuses taʿtadhirū
make excuses
ٱلْيَوْمَ ۖ today l-yawma
today
إِنَّمَا Only innamā
Only
تُجْزَوْنَ you will be recompensed tuj'zawna
you will be recompensed
مَا (for) what
(for) what
كُنتُمْ you used to kuntum
you used to
تَعْمَلُونَ do taʿmalūna
do
٧ (7)
(7)
Ô vous qui avez mécru ! Ne vous excusez pas aujourd’hui Vous ne serez rétribués que selon ce que vous œuvriez.
66:8
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا O yāayyuhā
O
ٱلَّذِينَ (you) who believe alladhīna
(you) who believe
ءَامَنُوا۟ believe āmanū
believe
تُوبُوٓا۟ Turn tūbū
Turn
إِلَى to ilā
to
ٱللَّهِ Allah l-lahi
Allah
تَوْبَةًۭ (in) repentance tawbatan
(in) repentance
نَّصُوحًا sincere naṣūḥan
sincere
عَسَىٰ Perhaps ʿasā
Perhaps
رَبُّكُمْ your Lord rabbukum
your Lord
أَن will an
will
يُكَفِّرَ remove yukaffira
remove
عَنكُمْ from you ʿankum
from you
سَيِّـَٔاتِكُمْ your evil deeds sayyiātikum
your evil deeds
وَيُدْخِلَكُمْ and admit you wayud'khilakum
and admit you
جَنَّـٰتٍۢ (into) Gardens jannātin
(into) Gardens
تَجْرِى flow tajrī
flow
مِن from min
from
تَحْتِهَا underneath it taḥtihā
underneath it
ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ the rivers l-anhāru
the rivers
يَوْمَ (on the) Day yawma
(on the) Day
لَا not
not
يُخْزِى will be disgraced yukh'zī
will be disgraced
ٱللَّهُ (by) Allah l-lahu
(by) Allah
ٱلنَّبِىَّ the Prophet l-nabiya
the Prophet
وَٱلَّذِينَ and those who wa-alladhīna
and those who
ءَامَنُوا۟ believed āmanū
believed
مَعَهُۥ ۖ with him maʿahu
with him
نُورُهُمْ Their light nūruhum
Their light
يَسْعَىٰ will run yasʿā
will run
بَيْنَ before bayna
before
أَيْدِيهِمْ their hands aydīhim
their hands
وَبِأَيْمَـٰنِهِمْ and on their right wabi-aymānihim
and on their right
يَقُولُونَ they will say yaqūlūna
they will say
رَبَّنَآ Our Lord rabbanā
Our Lord
أَتْمِمْ Perfect atmim
Perfect
لَنَا for us lanā
for us
نُورَنَا our light nūranā
our light
وَٱغْفِرْ and grant forgiveness wa-igh'fir
and grant forgiveness
لَنَآ ۖ to us lanā
to us
إِنَّكَ Indeed, You innaka
Indeed, You
عَلَىٰ (are) over ʿalā
(are) over
كُلِّ every kulli
every
شَىْءٍۢ thing shayin
thing
قَدِيرٌۭ All-Powerful qadīrun
All-Powerful
٨ (8)
(8)
Ô vous qui avez cru ! Repentez-vous à Allah d’un repentir sincère. Il se peut que votre Seigneur vous efface vos fautes et qu’Il vous fasse entrer dans des Jardins sous lesquels coulent les ruisseaux, le jour où Allah épargnera l’ignominie au Prophète et à ceux qui croient avec lui. Leur lumière courra devant eux et à leur droite; ils diront : "Seigneur, parfais-nous notre lumière et pardonne-nous. Car Tu es Omnipotent."
66:9
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا O yāayyuhā
O
ٱلنَّبِىُّ Prophet l-nabiyu
Prophet
جَـٰهِدِ Strive jāhidi
Strive
ٱلْكُفَّارَ (against) the disbelievers l-kufāra
(against) the disbelievers
وَٱلْمُنَـٰفِقِينَ and the hypocrites wal-munāfiqīna
and the hypocrites
وَٱغْلُظْ and be stern wa-ugh'luẓ
and be stern
عَلَيْهِمْ ۚ with them ʿalayhim
with them
وَمَأْوَىٰهُمْ And their abode wamawāhum
And their abode
جَهَنَّمُ ۖ (is) Hell jahannamu
(is) Hell
وَبِئْسَ and wretched is wabi'sa
and wretched is
ٱلْمَصِيرُ the destination l-maṣīru
the destination
٩ (9)
(9)
Ô Prophète ! Mène la lutte contre les mécréants et hypocrites et sois rude à leur égard. leur refuge sera l’Enfer, et quelle mauvaise destination !
66:10
ضَرَبَ Presents ḍaraba
Presents
ٱللَّهُ Allah l-lahu
Allah
مَثَلًۭا an example mathalan
an example
لِّلَّذِينَ for those who lilladhīna
for those who
كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieved kafarū
disbelieved
ٱمْرَأَتَ (the) wife im'ra-ata
(the) wife
نُوحٍۢ (of) Nuh nūḥin
(of) Nuh
وَٱمْرَأَتَ (and the) wife wa-im'ra-ata
(and the) wife
لُوطٍۢ ۖ (of) Lut lūṭin
(of) Lut
كَانَتَا They were kānatā
They were
تَحْتَ under taḥta
under
عَبْدَيْنِ two [slaves] ʿabdayni
two [slaves]
مِنْ of min
of
عِبَادِنَا Our slaves ʿibādinā
Our slaves
صَـٰلِحَيْنِ righteous ṣāliḥayni
righteous
فَخَانَتَاهُمَا but they both betrayed them fakhānatāhumā
but they both betrayed them
فَلَمْ so not falam
so not
يُغْنِيَا they availed yugh'niyā
they availed
عَنْهُمَا both of them ʿanhumā
both of them
مِنَ from mina
from
ٱللَّهِ Allah l-lahi
Allah
شَيْـًۭٔا (in) anything shayan
(in) anything
وَقِيلَ and it was said waqīla
and it was said
ٱدْخُلَا Enter ud'khulā
Enter
ٱلنَّارَ the Fire l-nāra
the Fire
مَعَ with maʿa
with
ٱلدَّٰخِلِينَ those who enter l-dākhilīna
those who enter
١٠ (10)
(10)
Allah a cité en parabole pour ceux qui ont mécru la femme de Noé et la femme de Lot. Elles étaient sous l’autorité de deux vertueux de Nos serviteurs. Toutes deux les trahirent et ils ne furent d’aucune aide pour [ces deux femmes] vis-à-vis d’Allah. Et il [leur] fut dit : "Entrez au Feu toutes les deux, avec ceux qui y entrent",
66:11
وَضَرَبَ And presents waḍaraba
And presents
ٱللَّهُ Allah l-lahu
Allah
مَثَلًۭا an example mathalan
an example
لِّلَّذِينَ for those who lilladhīna
for those who
ءَامَنُوا۟ believed āmanū
believed
ٱمْرَأَتَ (the) wife im'ra-ata
(the) wife
فِرْعَوْنَ (of) Firaun fir'ʿawna
(of) Firaun
إِذْ when idh
when
قَالَتْ she said qālat
she said
رَبِّ My Lord rabbi
My Lord
ٱبْنِ Build ib'ni
Build
لِى for me
for me
عِندَكَ near You ʿindaka
near You
بَيْتًۭا a house baytan
a house
فِى in
in
ٱلْجَنَّةِ Paradise l-janati
Paradise
وَنَجِّنِى and save me wanajjinī
and save me
مِن from min
from
فِرْعَوْنَ Firaun fir'ʿawna
Firaun
وَعَمَلِهِۦ and his deeds waʿamalihi
and his deeds
وَنَجِّنِى and save me wanajjinī
and save me
مِنَ from mina
from
ٱلْقَوْمِ the people l-qawmi
the people
ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ the wrongdoers l-ẓālimīna
the wrongdoers
١١ (11)
(11)
et Allah a cité en parabole pour ceux qui croient, la femme de Pharaon, quand elle dit : "Seigneur, construis-moi auprès de Toi une maison dans le Paradis, et sauve-moi de Pharaon et de son œuvre; et sauve-moi des gens injustes."
66:12
وَمَرْيَمَ And Maryam wamaryama
And Maryam
ٱبْنَتَ (the) daughter ib'nata
(the) daughter
عِمْرَٰنَ (of) Imran ʿim'rāna
(of) Imran
ٱلَّتِىٓ who allatī
who
أَحْصَنَتْ guarded aḥṣanat
guarded
فَرْجَهَا her chastity farjahā
her chastity
فَنَفَخْنَا so We breathed fanafakhnā
so We breathed
فِيهِ into it fīhi
into it
مِن of min
of
رُّوحِنَا Our Spirit rūḥinā
Our Spirit
وَصَدَّقَتْ And she believed waṣaddaqat
And she believed
بِكَلِمَـٰتِ (in the) Words bikalimāti
(in the) Words
رَبِّهَا (of) her Lord rabbihā
(of) her Lord
وَكُتُبِهِۦ and His Books wakutubihi
and His Books
وَكَانَتْ and she was wakānat
and she was
مِنَ of mina
of
ٱلْقَـٰنِتِينَ the devoutly obedient l-qānitīna
the devoutly obedient
١٢ (12)
(12)
De même, Marie, la fille d’Imran qui avait préservé sa virginité ; Nous y insufflâmes alors de Notre Esprit. Elle avait déclaré véridiques les paroles de son Seigneur ainsi que Ses Livres : elle fut parmi les dévoués.
