بسملة

بِسْمِIn (the) nameٱللَّهِ(of) Allahٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِthe Most Graciousٱلرَّحِيمِthe Most Merciful

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

٢١:١

ٱقْتَرَبَ(Has) approachedلِلنَّاسِfor [the] mankindحِسَابُهُمْtheir accountوَهُمْwhile theyفِى(are) inغَفْلَةٍۢheedlessnessمُّعْرِضُونَturning away١

[The time of] their account has approached for the people, while they are in heedlessness turning away.

٢١:٢

مَاNotيَأْتِيهِمcomes to themمِّنofذِكْرٍۢa Reminderمِّنfromرَّبِّهِمtheir Lordمُّحْدَثٍanewإِلَّاexceptٱسْتَمَعُوهُthey listen to itوَهُمْwhile theyيَلْعَبُونَ(are at) play٢

No mention [i.e., revelation] comes to them anew from their Lord except that they listen to it while they are at play

٢١:٣

لَاهِيَةًۭDistractedقُلُوبُهُمْ ۗtheir heartsوَأَسَرُّوا۟And they concealٱلنَّجْوَىthe private conversationٱلَّذِينَthose whoظَلَمُوا۟[they] wrongedهَلْIsهَـٰذَآthisإِلَّاexceptبَشَرٌۭa human beingمِّثْلُكُمْ ۖlike youأَفَتَأْتُونَSo would you approachٱلسِّحْرَthe magicوَأَنتُمْwhile youتُبْصِرُونَsee (it)٣

With their hearts distracted. And those who do wrong conceal their private conversation, [saying], "Is this [Prophet] except a human being like you? So would you approach magic while you are aware [of it]?"

٢١:٤

قَالَHe saidرَبِّىMy Lordيَعْلَمُknowsٱلْقَوْلَthe wordفِىinٱلسَّمَآءِthe heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِ ۖand the earthوَهُوَAnd Heٱلسَّمِيعُ(is) the All-Hearerٱلْعَلِيمُthe All-Knower٤

He [the Prophet (ﷺ)] said, "My Lord knows whatever is said throughout the heaven and earth, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing."

٢١:٥

بَلْNayقَالُوٓا۟they sayأَضْغَـٰثُMuddledأَحْلَـٰمٍۭdreamsبَلِnayٱفْتَرَىٰهُhe (has) invented itبَلْnayهُوَheشَاعِرٌۭ(is) a poetفَلْيَأْتِنَاSo let him bring usبِـَٔايَةٍۢa signكَمَآlike whatأُرْسِلَwas sentٱلْأَوَّلُونَ(to) the former٥

But they say, "[The revelation is but] a mixture of false dreams; rather, he has invented it; rather, he is a poet. So let him bring us a sign just as the previous [messengers] were sent [with miracles]."

٢١:٦

مَآNotءَامَنَتْbelievedقَبْلَهُمbefore themمِّنanyقَرْيَةٍtownأَهْلَكْنَـٰهَآ ۖwhich We destroyedأَفَهُمْso will theyيُؤْمِنُونَbelieve٦

Not a [single] city which We destroyed believed before them, so will they believe?

٢١:٧

وَمَآAnd notأَرْسَلْنَاWe sentقَبْلَكَbefore youإِلَّاexceptرِجَالًۭاmenنُّوحِىٓWe revealedإِلَيْهِمْ ۖto themفَسْـَٔلُوٓا۟So askأَهْلَ(the) peopleٱلذِّكْرِ(of) the Reminderإِنifكُنتُمْyouلَا(do) notتَعْلَمُونَknow٧

And We sent not before you, [O Muḥammad], except men to whom We revealed [the message], so ask the people of the message [i.e., former scriptures] if you do not know.

٢١:٨

وَمَاAnd notجَعَلْنَـٰهُمْWe made themجَسَدًۭاbodiesلَّاnotيَأْكُلُونَeatingٱلطَّعَامَthe foodوَمَاand notكَانُوا۟they wereخَـٰلِدِينَimmortals٨

And We did not make them [i.e., the prophets] forms not eating food, nor were they immortal [on earth].

٢١:٩

ثُمَّThenصَدَقْنَـٰهُمُWe fulfilled (for) themٱلْوَعْدَthe promiseفَأَنجَيْنَـٰهُمْand We saved themوَمَنand whomنَّشَآءُWe willedوَأَهْلَكْنَاand We destroyedٱلْمُسْرِفِينَthe transgressors٩

Then We fulfilled for them the promise, and We saved them and whom We willed and destroyed the transgressors.

٢١:١٠

لَقَدْIndeedأَنزَلْنَآWe (have) sent downإِلَيْكُمْto youكِتَـٰبًۭاa Bookفِيهِin itذِكْرُكُمْ ۖ(is) your mentionأَفَلَاThen will notتَعْقِلُونَyou use reason١٠

We have certainly sent down to you a Book [i.e., the Qur’ān] in which is your mention. Then will you not reason?

٢١:١١

وَكَمْAnd how manyقَصَمْنَاWe (have) shatteredمِنofقَرْيَةٍۢa townكَانَتْ(that) wasظَالِمَةًۭunjustوَأَنشَأْنَاand We producedبَعْدَهَاafter themقَوْمًاanother peopleءَاخَرِينَanother people١١

And how many a city which was unjust have We shattered and produced after it another people.

٢١:١٢

فَلَمَّآThen whenأَحَسُّوا۟they perceivedبَأْسَنَآOur tormentإِذَاbeholdهُمtheyمِّنْهَاfrom itيَرْكُضُونَwere fleeing١٢

And when they [i.e., its inhabitants] perceived Our punishment, at once they fled from it.

٢١:١٣

لَاFlee notتَرْكُضُوا۟Flee notوَٱرْجِعُوٓا۟but returnإِلَىٰtoمَآwhatأُتْرِفْتُمْyou were given luxuryفِيهِin itوَمَسَـٰكِنِكُمْand to your homesلَعَلَّكُمْso that you mayتُسْـَٔلُونَbe questioned١٣

[Some angels said], "Do not flee but return to where you were given luxury and to your homes - perhaps you will be questioned."1

٢١:١٤

قَالُوا۟They saidيَـٰوَيْلَنَآO woe to usإِنَّاIndeed, [we]كُنَّاwe wereظَـٰلِمِينَwrongdoers١٤

They said, "O woe to us! Indeed, we were wrongdoers."

٢١:١٥

فَمَاThen notزَالَتceasedتِّلْكَ[this]دَعْوَىٰهُمْtheir cryحَتَّىٰuntilجَعَلْنَـٰهُمْWe made themحَصِيدًاreapedخَـٰمِدِينَextinct١٥

And that declaration of theirs did not cease until We made them [as] a harvest [mowed down], extinguished [like a fire].

٢١:١٦

وَمَاAnd notخَلَقْنَاWe createdٱلسَّمَآءَthe heavensوَٱلْأَرْضَand the earthوَمَاand whatبَيْنَهُمَا(is) between themلَـٰعِبِينَ(for) playing١٦

And We did not create the heaven and earth and that between them in play.

٢١:١٧

لَوْIfأَرَدْنَآWe intendedأَنthatنَّتَّخِذَWe takeلَهْوًۭاa pastimeلَّٱتَّخَذْنَـٰهُsurely We (could have) taken itمِنfromلَّدُنَّآUsإِنifكُنَّاWe wereفَـٰعِلِينَdoers١٧

Had We intended to take a diversion, We could have taken it from [what is] with Us - if [indeed] We were to do so.

٢١:١٨

بَلْNayنَقْذِفُWe hurlبِٱلْحَقِّthe truthعَلَىagainstٱلْبَـٰطِلِ[the] falsehoodفَيَدْمَغُهُۥand it breaks its headفَإِذَاbeholdهُوَit (is)زَاهِقٌۭ ۚvanishingوَلَكُمُAnd for youٱلْوَيْلُ(is) destructionمِمَّاfor whatتَصِفُونَyou ascribe١٨

Rather, We dash the truth upon falsehood, and it destroys it, and thereupon it departs. And for you is destruction from that which you describe.

٢١:١٩

وَلَهُۥAnd to Him (belongs)مَنwhoeverفِى(is) inٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِthe heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚand the earthوَمَنْAnd (those) whoعِندَهُۥ(are) near Himلَاnotيَسْتَكْبِرُونَthey are arrogantعَنْtoعِبَادَتِهِۦworship Himوَلَاand notيَسْتَحْسِرُونَthey tire١٩

To Him belongs whoever is in the heavens and the earth. And those near Him [i.e., the angels] are not prevented by arrogance from His worship, nor do they tire.

٢١:٢٠

يُسَبِّحُونَThey glorify (Him)ٱلَّيْلَ[the] nightوَٱلنَّهَارَand [the] dayلَاnotيَفْتُرُونَthey slacken٢٠

They exalt [Him] night and day [and] do not slacken.

٢١:٢١

أَمِOrٱتَّخَذُوٓا۟(have) they takenءَالِهَةًۭgodsمِّنَfromٱلْأَرْضِthe earthهُمْtheyيُنشِرُونَraise (the dead)٢١

Or have they [i.e., men] taken for themselves gods from the earth who resurrect [the dead]?

٢١:٢٢

لَوْIfكَانَ(there) wereفِيهِمَآin both of themءَالِهَةٌgodsإِلَّاbesidesٱللَّهُAllahلَفَسَدَتَا ۚsurely they (would) have been ruinedفَسُبْحَـٰنَSo glorifiedٱللَّهِ(is) AllahرَبِّLordٱلْعَرْشِ(of) the Throneعَمَّا(above) whatيَصِفُونَthey attribute٢٢

Had there been within them [i.e., the heavens and earth] gods besides Allāh, they both would have been ruined. So exalted is Allāh, Lord of the Throne, above what they describe.

٢١:٢٣

لَاNotيُسْـَٔلُHe (can) be questionedعَمَّاabout whatيَفْعَلُHe doesوَهُمْbut theyيُسْـَٔلُونَwill be questioned٢٣

He is not questioned about what He does, but they will be questioned.

٢١:٢٤

أَمِOrٱتَّخَذُوا۟(have) they takenمِنbesides Himدُونِهِۦٓbesides Himءَالِهَةًۭ ۖgodsقُلْSayهَاتُوا۟Bringبُرْهَـٰنَكُمْ ۖyour proofهَـٰذَاThisذِكْرُ(is) a Reminderمَن(for those) whoمَّعِىَ(are) with meوَذِكْرُand a Reminderمَن(for those) whoقَبْلِى ۗ(were) before meبَلْButأَكْثَرُهُمْmost of themلَا(do) notيَعْلَمُونَknowٱلْحَقَّ ۖthe truthفَهُمso theyمُّعْرِضُونَ(are) averse٢٤

Or have they taken gods besides Him? Say, [O Muḥammad], "Produce your proof. This [Qur’ān] is the message for those with me and the message of those before me."1 But most of them do not know the truth, so they are turning away.

٢١:٢٥

وَمَآAnd notأَرْسَلْنَاWe sentمِنbefore youقَبْلِكَbefore youمِنanyرَّسُولٍMessengerإِلَّاbutنُوحِىٓWe reveal(ed)إِلَيْهِto himأَنَّهُۥthat [He]لَآ(There is) noإِلَـٰهَgodإِلَّآexceptأَنَا۠Meفَٱعْبُدُونِso worship Me٢٥

And We sent not before you any messenger except We revealed to him that, "There is no deity except Me, so worship Me."

٢١:٢٦

وَقَالُوا۟And they sayٱتَّخَذَHas takenٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُthe Most Graciousوَلَدًۭا ۗa sonسُبْحَـٰنَهُۥ ۚGlorified is HeبَلْNayعِبَادٌۭ(they are) slavesمُّكْرَمُونَhonored٢٦

And they say, "The Most Merciful has taken a son." Exalted is He! Rather, they are [but] honored servants.

٢١:٢٧

لَاNotيَسْبِقُونَهُۥthey (can) precede Himبِٱلْقَوْلِin wordوَهُمand theyبِأَمْرِهِۦby His commandيَعْمَلُونَact٢٧

They cannot precede Him in word, and they act by His command.

٢١:٢٨

يَعْلَمُHe knowsمَاwhatبَيْنَ(is) before themأَيْدِيهِمْ(is) before themوَمَاand whatخَلْفَهُمْ(is) behind themوَلَاand notيَشْفَعُونَthey (can) intercedeإِلَّاexceptلِمَنِfor whomٱرْتَضَىٰHe approvesوَهُمAnd theyمِّنْfromخَشْيَتِهِۦfear of Himمُشْفِقُونَstand in awe٢٨

He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they cannot intercede except on behalf of one whom He approves. And they, from fear of Him, are apprehensive.

٢١:٢٩

۞ وَمَنAnd whoeverيَقُلْsaysمِنْهُمْof themإِنِّىٓIndeed, I amإِلَـٰهٌۭa godمِّنbesides Himدُونِهِۦbesides HimفَذَٰلِكَThen thatنَجْزِيهِWe will recompenseجَهَنَّمَ ۚ(with) HellكَذَٰلِكَThusنَجْزِىWe recompenseٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَthe wrongdoers٢٩

And whoever of them should say, "Indeed, I am a god besides Him" - that one We would recompense with Hell. Thus do We recompense the wrongdoers.

٢١:٣٠

أَوَلَمْDo notيَرَseeٱلَّذِينَthose whoكَفَرُوٓا۟disbelievedأَنَّthatٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِthe heavensوَٱلْأَرْضَand the earthكَانَتَاwereرَتْقًۭاa joined entityفَفَتَقْنَـٰهُمَا ۖthen We parted themوَجَعَلْنَاand We madeمِنَfromٱلْمَآءِ[the] waterكُلَّeveryشَىْءٍliving thingحَىٍّ ۖliving thingأَفَلَاThen will notيُؤْمِنُونَthey believe٣٠

Have those who disbelieved not considered that the heavens and the earth were a joined entity, and then We separated them and made from water every living thing? Then will they not believe?

٢١:٣١

وَجَعَلْنَاAnd We (have) placedفِىinٱلْأَرْضِthe earthرَوَٰسِىَfirmly set mountainsأَنlestتَمِيدَit (should) shakeبِهِمْwith themوَجَعَلْنَاand We madeفِيهَاthereinفِجَاجًۭاbroad passesسُبُلًۭا(as) waysلَّعَلَّهُمْso that they mayيَهْتَدُونَ(be) guided٣١

And We placed within the earth firmly set mountains, lest it should shift with them, and We made therein [mountain] passes [as] roads that they might be guided.

٢١:٣٢

وَجَعَلْنَاAnd We madeٱلسَّمَآءَthe skyسَقْفًۭاa roofمَّحْفُوظًۭا ۖprotectedوَهُمْBut theyعَنْfromءَايَـٰتِهَاits Signsمُعْرِضُونَturn away٣٢

And We made the sky a protected ceiling, but they, from its signs, are turning away.

٢١:٣٣

وَهُوَAnd Heٱلَّذِى(is) the One Whoخَلَقَcreatedٱلَّيْلَthe nightوَٱلنَّهَارَand the dayوَٱلشَّمْسَand the sunوَٱلْقَمَرَ ۖand the moonكُلٌّۭeachفِىinفَلَكٍۢan orbitيَسْبَحُونَfloating٣٣

And it is He who created the night and the day and the sun and the moon; all [heavenly bodies] in an orbit are swimming.

٢١:٣٤

وَمَاAnd notجَعَلْنَاWe madeلِبَشَرٍۢfor any manمِّنbefore youقَبْلِكَbefore youٱلْخُلْدَ ۖ[the] immortalityأَفَإِي۟نso ifمِّتَّyou dieفَهُمُthen (would) theyٱلْخَـٰلِدُونَlive forever٣٤

And We did not grant to any man before you eternity [on earth]; so if you die - would they be eternal?

٢١:٣٥

كُلُّEveryنَفْسٍۢsoulذَآئِقَةُ(will) tasteٱلْمَوْتِ ۗ[the] deathوَنَبْلُوكُمAnd We test youبِٱلشَّرِّwith [the] badوَٱلْخَيْرِand [the] goodفِتْنَةًۭ ۖ(as) a trialوَإِلَيْنَاand to Usتُرْجَعُونَyou will be returned٣٥

Every soul will taste death. And We test you with evil and with good as trial; and to Us you will be returned.

٢١:٣٦

وَإِذَاAnd whenرَءَاكَthey see youٱلَّذِينَthose whoكَفَرُوٓا۟disbelieveإِنnotيَتَّخِذُونَكَthey take youإِلَّاexceptهُزُوًا(in) ridiculeأَهَـٰذَاIs thisٱلَّذِىthe one whoيَذْكُرُmentionsءَالِهَتَكُمْyour godsوَهُمAnd theyبِذِكْرِat (the) mentionٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ(of) the Most Graciousهُمْ[they]كَـٰفِرُونَ(are) disbelievers٣٦

And when those who disbelieve see you, [O Muḥammad], they take you not except in ridicule, [saying], "Is this the one who mentions [i.e., insults] your gods?" And they are, at the mention of the Most Merciful, disbelievers.

٢١:٣٧

خُلِقَIs createdٱلْإِنسَـٰنُthe manمِنْofعَجَلٍۢ ۚhasteسَأُو۟رِيكُمْI will show youءَايَـٰتِىMy Signsفَلَاso (do) notتَسْتَعْجِلُونِask Me to hasten٣٧

Man was created of haste [i.e., impatience]. I will show you My signs [i.e., vengeance], so do not impatiently urge Me.

٢١:٣٨

وَيَقُولُونَAnd they sayمَتَىٰWhen (will be fulfilled)هَـٰذَاthisٱلْوَعْدُpromiseإِنifكُنتُمْyou areصَـٰدِقِينَtruthful٣٨

And they say, "When is this promise, if you should be truthful?"

٢١:٣٩

لَوْIfيَعْلَمُknewٱلَّذِينَthose whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelievedحِينَ(the) timeلَا(when) notيَكُفُّونَthey will avertعَنfromوُجُوهِهِمُtheir facesٱلنَّارَthe Fireوَلَاand notعَنfromظُهُورِهِمْtheir backsوَلَاand notهُمْtheyيُنصَرُونَwill be helped٣٩

If those who disbelieved but knew the time when they will not avert the Fire from their faces or from their backs and they will not be aided...

٢١:٤٠

بَلْNayتَأْتِيهِمit will come to themبَغْتَةًۭunexpectedlyفَتَبْهَتُهُمْand bewilder themفَلَاthen notيَسْتَطِيعُونَthey will be ableرَدَّهَاto repel itوَلَاand notهُمْtheyيُنظَرُونَwill be given respite٤٠

Rather, it will come to them unexpectedly and bewilder them, and they will not be able to repel it, nor will they be reprieved.

٢١:٤١

وَلَقَدِAnd verilyٱسْتُهْزِئَwere mockedبِرُسُلٍۢMessengersمِّنbefore youقَبْلِكَbefore youفَحَاقَthen surroundedبِٱلَّذِينَthose whoسَخِرُوا۟mockedمِنْهُمfrom themمَّاwhatكَانُوا۟they usedبِهِۦat itيَسْتَهْزِءُونَ(to) mock٤١

And already were messengers ridiculed before you, but those who mocked them were enveloped by what they used to ridicule.

٢١:٤٢

قُلْSayمَنWhoيَكْلَؤُكُم(can) protect youبِٱلَّيْلِin the nightوَٱلنَّهَارِand the dayمِنَfromٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ۗthe Most GraciousبَلْYetهُمْtheyعَنfromذِكْرِ(the) remembranceرَبِّهِم(of) their Lordمُّعْرِضُونَturn away٤٢

Say, "Who can protect you at night or by day from the Most Merciful?" But they are, from the remembrance of their Lord, turning away.

٢١:٤٣

أَمْOrلَهُمْhave theyءَالِهَةٌۭgodsتَمْنَعُهُم(to) defend themمِّنfromدُونِنَا ۚUsلَاNotيَسْتَطِيعُونَthey are ableنَصْرَ(to) helpأَنفُسِهِمْthemselvesوَلَاand notهُمtheyمِّنَّاfrom Usيُصْحَبُونَcan be protected٤٣

Or do they have gods to defend them other than Us? They are unable [even] to help themselves, nor can they be protected from Us.

٢١:٤٤

بَلْNayمَتَّعْنَاWe gave provisionهَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ(to) theseوَءَابَآءَهُمْand their fathersحَتَّىٰuntilطَالَgrew longعَلَيْهِمُfor themٱلْعُمُرُ ۗthe lifeأَفَلَاThen do notيَرَوْنَthey seeأَنَّاthat WeنَأْتِىWe comeٱلْأَرْضَ(to) the landنَنقُصُهَاWe reduce itمِنْfromأَطْرَافِهَآ ۚits bordersأَفَهُمُSo is (it) theyٱلْغَـٰلِبُونَ(who will be) overcoming٤٤

But, [on the contrary], We have provided good things for these [disbelievers] and their fathers until life was prolonged for them. Then do they not see that We set upon the land, reducing it from its borders? Is it they who will overcome?

٢١:٤٥

قُلْSayإِنَّمَآOnlyأُنذِرُكُمI warn youبِٱلْوَحْىِ ۚby the revelationوَلَاBut notيَسْمَعُhearٱلصُّمُّthe deafٱلدُّعَآءَthe callإِذَاwhenمَاwhenيُنذَرُونَthey are warned٤٥

Say, "I only warn you by revelation." But the deaf do not hear the call when they are warned.

٢١:٤٦

وَلَئِنAnd ifمَّسَّتْهُمْtouches themنَفْحَةٌۭa whiffمِّنْofعَذَابِ(the) punishmentرَبِّكَ(of) your Lordلَيَقُولُنَّsurely they will sayيَـٰوَيْلَنَآO woe to usإِنَّاIndeed, weكُنَّا[we] wereظَـٰلِمِينَwrongdoers٤٦

And if [as much as] a whiff of the punishment of your Lord should touch them, they would surely say, "O woe to us! Indeed, we have been wrongdoers."

٢١:٤٧

وَنَضَعُAnd We setٱلْمَوَٰزِينَthe scalesٱلْقِسْطَ(of) the justiceلِيَوْمِfor (the) Dayٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ(of) the Resurrectionفَلَاso notتُظْلَمُwill be wrongedنَفْسٌۭany soulشَيْـًۭٔا ۖ(in) anythingوَإِنAnd ifكَانَ(there) beمِثْقَالَweightحَبَّةٍۢ(of) a seedمِّنْofخَرْدَلٍa mustardأَتَيْنَاWe will bringبِهَا ۗ[with] itوَكَفَىٰAnd sufficientبِنَا(are) Weحَـٰسِبِينَ(as) Reckoners٤٧

And We place the scales of justice for the Day of Resurrection, so no soul will be treated unjustly at all. And if there is [even] the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it forth. And sufficient are We as accountant.

٢١:٤٨

وَلَقَدْAnd verilyءَاتَيْنَاWe gaveمُوسَىٰMusaوَهَـٰرُونَand Harunٱلْفُرْقَانَthe Criterionوَضِيَآءًۭand a lightوَذِكْرًۭاand a Reminderلِّلْمُتَّقِينَfor the righteous٤٨

And We had already given Moses and Aaron the criterion and a light and a reminder for the righteous

٢١:٤٩

ٱلَّذِينَThose whoيَخْشَوْنَfearرَبَّهُمtheir Lordبِٱلْغَيْبِin the unseenوَهُمand theyمِّنَofٱلسَّاعَةِthe Hourمُشْفِقُونَ(are) afraid٤٩

Who fear their Lord unseen, while they are of the Hour apprehensive.

٢١:٥٠

وَهَـٰذَاAnd thisذِكْرٌۭ(is) a Reminderمُّبَارَكٌblessedأَنزَلْنَـٰهُ ۚwhich We (have) revealedأَفَأَنتُمْThen are youلَهُۥof itمُنكِرُونَrejecters٥٠

And this [Qur’ān] is a blessed message which We have sent down. Then are you with it unacquainted?

٢١:٥١

۞ وَلَقَدْAnd verilyءَاتَيْنَآWe gaveإِبْرَٰهِيمَIbrahimرُشْدَهُۥhis guidanceمِنbeforeقَبْلُbeforeوَكُنَّاand We wereبِهِۦabout himعَـٰلِمِينَWell-Knowing٥١

And We had certainly given Abraham his sound judgement before, and We were of him well-Knowing

٢١:٥٢

إِذْWhenقَالَhe saidلِأَبِيهِto his fatherوَقَوْمِهِۦand his peopleمَاWhatهَـٰذِهِ(are) theseٱلتَّمَاثِيلُ[the] statuesٱلَّتِىٓwhichأَنتُمْyouلَهَاto itعَـٰكِفُونَ(are) devoted٥٢

When he said to his father and his people, "What are these statues to which you are devoted?"

٢١:٥٣

قَالُوا۟They saidوَجَدْنَآWe foundءَابَآءَنَاour forefathersلَهَاof themعَـٰبِدِينَworshippers٥٣

They said, "We found our fathers worshippers of them."

٢١:٥٤

قَالَHe saidلَقَدْVerilyكُنتُمْyou areأَنتُمْ[you]وَءَابَآؤُكُمْand your forefathersفِى(were) inضَلَـٰلٍۢan errorمُّبِينٍۢmanifest٥٤

He said, "You were certainly, you and your fathers, in manifest error."

٢١:٥٥

قَالُوٓا۟They saidأَجِئْتَنَاHave you come to usبِٱلْحَقِّwith the truthأَمْorأَنتَyouمِنَ(are) ofٱللَّـٰعِبِينَthose who play٥٥

They said, "Have you come to us with truth, or are you of those who jest?"

٢١:٥٦

قَالَHe saidبَلNayرَّبُّكُمْyour Lordرَبُّ(is the) Lordٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ(of) the heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِand the earthٱلَّذِىthe One Whoفَطَرَهُنَّcreated themوَأَنَا۠and I amعَلَىٰtoذَٰلِكُمthatمِّنَofٱلشَّـٰهِدِينَthe witnesses٥٦

He said, "[No], rather, your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth who created them, and I, to that, am of those who testify.

٢١:٥٧

وَتَٱللَّهِAnd by Allahلَأَكِيدَنَّsurely, I will planأَصْنَـٰمَكُم(against) your idolsبَعْدَafterأَن[that]تُوَلُّوا۟you go awayمُدْبِرِينَturning (your) backs٥٧

And [I swear] by Allāh, I will surely plan against your idols after you have turned and gone away."

٢١:٥٨

فَجَعَلَهُمْSo he made themجُذَٰذًا(into) piecesإِلَّاexceptكَبِيرًۭاa large (one)لَّهُمْof themلَعَلَّهُمْso that they mayإِلَيْهِto itيَرْجِعُونَreturn٥٨

So he made them into fragments, except a large one among them, that they might return to it [and question].

٢١:٥٩

قَالُوا۟They saidمَنWhoفَعَلَ(has) doneهَـٰذَاthisبِـَٔالِهَتِنَآto our godsإِنَّهُۥIndeed, heلَمِنَ(is) ofٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَthe wrongdoers٥٩

They said, "Who has done this to our gods? Indeed, he is of the wrongdoers."

٢١:٦٠

قَالُوا۟They saidسَمِعْنَاWe heardفَتًۭىa youthيَذْكُرُهُمْmention themيُقَالُhe is calledلَهُۥٓhe is calledإِبْرَٰهِيمُIbrahim٦٠

They said, "We heard a young man mention them who is called Abraham."

٢١:٦١

قَالُوا۟They saidفَأْتُوا۟Then bringبِهِۦhimعَلَىٰٓbeforeأَعْيُنِ(the) eyesٱلنَّاسِ(of) the peopleلَعَلَّهُمْso that they mayيَشْهَدُونَbear witness٦١

They said, "Then bring him before the eyes of the people that they may testify."1

٢١:٦٢

قَالُوٓا۟They saidءَأَنتَHave youفَعَلْتَdoneهَـٰذَاthisبِـَٔالِهَتِنَاto our godsيَـٰٓإِبْرَٰهِيمُO Ibrahim٦٢

They said, "Have you done this to our gods, O Abraham?"

٢١:٦٣

قَالَHe saidبَلْNayفَعَلَهُۥ(some doer) did itكَبِيرُهُمْTheir chiefهَـٰذَا(is) thisفَسْـَٔلُوهُمْSo ask themإِنifكَانُوا۟they (can)يَنطِقُونَspeak٦٣

He said, "Rather, this - the largest of them - did it, so ask them, if they should [be able to] speak."

٢١:٦٤

فَرَجَعُوٓا۟So they returnedإِلَىٰٓtoأَنفُسِهِمْthemselvesفَقَالُوٓا۟and saidإِنَّكُمْIndeed, youأَنتُمُ[you]ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ(are) the wrongdoers٦٤

So they returned to [blaming] themselves and said [to each other], "Indeed, you are the wrongdoers."

٢١:٦٥

ثُمَّThenنُكِسُوا۟they were turnedعَلَىٰonرُءُوسِهِمْtheir headsلَقَدْVerilyعَلِمْتَyou knowمَاnotهَـٰٓؤُلَآءِtheseيَنطِقُونَ(can) speak٦٥

Then they reversed themselves, [saying], "You have already known that these do not speak!"

٢١:٦٦

قَالَHe saidأَفَتَعْبُدُونَThen do you worshipمِنbesidesدُونِbesidesٱللَّهِAllahمَاwhatلَا(does) notيَنفَعُكُمْbenefit youشَيْـًۭٔا(in) anythingوَلَاand notيَضُرُّكُمْharms you٦٦

He said, "Then do you worship instead of Allāh that which does not benefit you at all or harm you?

٢١:٦٧

أُفٍّۢUffلَّكُمْto youوَلِمَاand to whatتَعْبُدُونَyou worshipمِنbesidesدُونِbesidesٱللَّهِ ۖAllahأَفَلَاThen will notتَعْقِلُونَyou use reason٦٧

Uff to you and to what you worship instead of Allāh. Then will you not use reason?"

٢١:٦٨

قَالُوا۟They saidحَرِّقُوهُBurn himوَٱنصُرُوٓا۟and supportءَالِهَتَكُمْyour godsإِنifكُنتُمْyou areفَـٰعِلِينَdoers٦٨

They said, "Burn him and support your gods - if you are to act."

٢١:٦٩

قُلْنَاWe saidيَـٰنَارُO fireكُونِىBeبَرْدًۭاcool[ness]وَسَلَـٰمًاand safe[ty]عَلَىٰٓforإِبْرَٰهِيمَIbrahim٦٩

We [i.e., Allāh] said, "O fire, be coolness and safety upon Abraham."

٢١:٧٠

وَأَرَادُوا۟And they intendedبِهِۦfor himكَيْدًۭاa planفَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمُbut We made themٱلْأَخْسَرِينَthe greatest losers٧٠

And they intended for him a plan [i.e., harm], but We made them the greatest losers.

٢١:٧١

وَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُAnd We delivered himوَلُوطًاand Lutإِلَىtoٱلْأَرْضِthe landٱلَّتِىwhichبَـٰرَكْنَاWe (had) blessedفِيهَا[in it]لِلْعَـٰلَمِينَfor the worlds٧١

And We delivered him and Lot to the land which We had blessed for the worlds [i.e., peoples].

٢١:٧٢

وَوَهَبْنَاAnd We bestowedلَهُۥٓon himإِسْحَـٰقَIsaacوَيَعْقُوبَand Yaqubنَافِلَةًۭ ۖ(in) additionوَكُلًّۭاand allجَعَلْنَاWe madeصَـٰلِحِينَrighteous٧٢

And We gave him Isaac and Jacob in addition, and all [of them] We made righteous.

٢١:٧٣

وَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمْAnd We made themأَئِمَّةًۭleadersيَهْدُونَthey guideبِأَمْرِنَاby Our CommandوَأَوْحَيْنَآAnd We inspiredإِلَيْهِمْto themفِعْلَ(the) doingٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ(of) good deedsوَإِقَامَand establishmentٱلصَّلَوٰةِ(of) the prayerوَإِيتَآءَand givingٱلزَّكَوٰةِ ۖ(of) zakahوَكَانُوا۟and they wereلَنَاof Usعَـٰبِدِينَworshippers٧٣

And We made them leaders guiding by Our command. And We inspired to them the doing of good deeds, establishment of prayer, and giving of zakāh; and they were worshippers of Us.

٢١:٧٤

وَلُوطًاAnd (to) LutءَاتَيْنَـٰهُWe gave himحُكْمًۭاjudgmentوَعِلْمًۭاand knowledgeوَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُand We saved himمِنَfromٱلْقَرْيَةِthe townٱلَّتِىwhichكَانَتwasتَّعْمَلُdoingٱلْخَبَـٰٓئِثَ ۗwicked deedsإِنَّهُمْIndeed, theyكَانُوا۟wereقَوْمَa peopleسَوْءٍۢevilفَـٰسِقِينَdefiantly disobedient٧٤

And to Lot We gave judgement and knowledge, and We saved him from the city that was committing wicked deeds. Indeed, they were a people of evil, defiantly disobedient.

٢١:٧٥

وَأَدْخَلْنَـٰهُAnd We admitted himفِىintoرَحْمَتِنَآ ۖOur MercyإِنَّهُۥIndeed, heمِنَ(was) ofٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَthe righteous٧٥

And We admitted him into Our mercy. Indeed, he was of the righteous.

٢١:٧٦

وَنُوحًاAnd Nuhإِذْwhenنَادَىٰhe calledمِنbeforeقَبْلُbeforeفَٱسْتَجَبْنَاso We respondedلَهُۥto himفَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُand We saved himوَأَهْلَهُۥand his familyمِنَfromٱلْكَرْبِthe afflictionٱلْعَظِيمِ[the] great٧٦

And [mention] Noah, when he called [to Allāh]1 before [that time], so We responded to him and saved him and his family from the great affliction [i.e., the flood].

٢١:٧٧

وَنَصَرْنَـٰهُAnd We helped himمِنَfromٱلْقَوْمِthe peopleٱلَّذِينَwhoكَذَّبُوا۟deniedبِـَٔايَـٰتِنَآ ۚOur SignsإِنَّهُمْIndeed, theyكَانُوا۟wereقَوْمَa peopleسَوْءٍۢevilفَأَغْرَقْنَـٰهُمْso We drowned themأَجْمَعِينَall٧٧

And We aided [i.e., saved] him from the people who denied Our signs. Indeed, they were a people of evil, so We drowned them, all together.

٢١:٧٨

وَدَاوُۥدَAnd Dawudوَسُلَيْمَـٰنَand Sulaimanإِذْwhenيَحْكُمَانِthey judgedفِىconcerningٱلْحَرْثِthe fieldإِذْwhenنَفَشَتْpasturedفِيهِin itغَنَمُsheepٱلْقَوْمِ(of) a peopleوَكُنَّاand We wereلِحُكْمِهِمْto their judgmentشَـٰهِدِينَwitness٧٨

And [mention] David and Solomon, when they judged concerning the field - when the sheep of a people overran it [at night], and We were witness to their judgement.

٢١:٧٩

فَفَهَّمْنَـٰهَاAnd We gave understanding of itسُلَيْمَـٰنَ ۚ(to) Sulaimanوَكُلًّاand (to) eachءَاتَيْنَاWe gaveحُكْمًۭاjudgmentوَعِلْمًۭا ۚand knowledgeوَسَخَّرْنَاAnd We subjectedمَعَwithدَاوُۥدَDawudٱلْجِبَالَthe mountainsيُسَبِّحْنَ(to) glorify Our praisesوَٱلطَّيْرَ ۚand the birdsوَكُنَّاAnd We wereفَـٰعِلِينَthe Doers٧٩

And We gave understanding of it [i.e., the case] to Solomon, and to each [of them] We gave judgement and knowledge. And We subjected the mountains to exalt [Us], along with David and [also] the birds. And We were doing [that].

٢١:٨٠

وَعَلَّمْنَـٰهُAnd We taught himصَنْعَةَ(the) makingلَبُوسٍۢ(of) coats of armorلَّكُمْfor youلِتُحْصِنَكُمto protect youمِّنۢfromبَأْسِكُمْ ۖyour battleفَهَلْThen willأَنتُمْyouشَـٰكِرُونَ(be) grateful٨٠

And We taught him the fashioning of coats of armor to protect you from your [enemy in] battle. So will you then be grateful?

٢١:٨١

وَلِسُلَيْمَـٰنَAnd to Sulaimanٱلرِّيحَthe windعَاصِفَةًۭforcefullyتَجْرِىblowingبِأَمْرِهِۦٓby his commandإِلَىtoٱلْأَرْضِthe landٱلَّتِىwhichبَـٰرَكْنَاWe blessedفِيهَا ۚ[in it]وَكُنَّاAnd We areبِكُلِّof everyشَىْءٍthingعَـٰلِمِينَKnowers٨١

And to Solomon [We subjected] the wind, blowing forcefully, proceeding by his command toward the land which We had blessed. And We are ever, of all things, Knowing.

٢١:٨٢

وَمِنَAnd ofٱلشَّيَـٰطِينِthe devilsمَن(were some) whoيَغُوصُونَwould diveلَهُۥfor himوَيَعْمَلُونَand would doعَمَلًۭاworkدُونَother thanذَٰلِكَ ۖthatوَكُنَّاAnd We wereلَهُمْof themحَـٰفِظِينَGuardians٨٢

And of the devils [i.e., jinn] were those who dived for him and did work other than that. And We were of them a guardian.

٢١:٨٣

۞ وَأَيُّوبَAnd Ayubإِذْwhenنَادَىٰhe calledرَبَّهُۥٓ(to) his LordأَنِّىIndeed, [I]مَسَّنِىَhas touched meٱلضُّرُّthe adversityوَأَنتَand Youأَرْحَمُ(are) Most Mercifulٱلرَّٰحِمِينَ(of) the Merciful٨٣

And [mention] Job, when he called to his Lord, "Indeed, adversity has touched me, and You are the most merciful of the merciful."

٢١:٨٤

فَٱسْتَجَبْنَاSo We respondedلَهُۥto himفَكَشَفْنَاand We removedمَاwhatبِهِۦ(was) on himمِنofضُرٍّۢ ۖ(the) adversityوَءَاتَيْنَـٰهُAnd We gave himأَهْلَهُۥhis familyوَمِثْلَهُمand (the) like thereofمَّعَهُمْwith themرَحْمَةًۭ(as) Mercyمِّنْfrom Ourselvesعِندِنَاfrom Ourselvesوَذِكْرَىٰand a reminderلِلْعَـٰبِدِينَfor the worshippers٨٤

So We responded to him and removed what afflicted him of adversity. And We gave him [back] his family and the like thereof with them as mercy from Us and a reminder for the worshippers [of Allāh].

٢١:٨٥

وَإِسْمَـٰعِيلَAnd Ishmaelوَإِدْرِيسَand Idrisوَذَاand Dhul-Kiflٱلْكِفْلِ ۖand Dhul-Kiflكُلٌّۭallمِّنَ(were) ofٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَthe patient ones٨٥

And [mention] Ishmael and Idrees and Dhul-Kifl; all were of the patient.

٢١:٨٦

وَأَدْخَلْنَـٰهُمْAnd We admitted themفِىinرَحْمَتِنَآ ۖOur MercyإِنَّهُمIndeed, theyمِّنَ(were) ofٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَthe righteous٨٦

And We admitted them into Our mercy. Indeed, they were of the righteous.

٢١:٨٧

وَذَاAnd Dhun-NunٱلنُّونِAnd Dhun-Nunإِذwhenذَّهَبَhe wentمُغَـٰضِبًۭا(while) angryفَظَنَّand thoughtأَنthatلَّنneverنَّقْدِرَWe would decreeعَلَيْهِupon himفَنَادَىٰThen he calledفِىinٱلظُّلُمَـٰتِthe darkness(es)أَنthatلَّآ(There is) noإِلَـٰهَgodإِلَّآexceptأَنتَYouسُبْحَـٰنَكَGlory be to YouإِنِّىIndeed, [I]كُنتُI amمِنَofٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَthe wrongdoers٨٧

And [mention] the man of the fish [i.e., Jonah], when he went off in anger and thought that We would not decree [anything] upon him. And he called out within the darknesses, "There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers."

٢١:٨٨

فَٱسْتَجَبْنَاSo We respondedلَهُۥto himوَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُand We saved himمِنَfromٱلْغَمِّ ۚthe distressوَكَذَٰلِكَAnd thusنُـۨجِىWe saveٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَthe believers٨٨

So We responded to him and saved him from the distress. And thus do We save the believers.

٢١:٨٩

وَزَكَرِيَّآAnd Zakariyaإِذْwhenنَادَىٰhe calledرَبَّهُۥ(to) his LordرَبِّMy Lordلَا(Do) notتَذَرْنِىleave meفَرْدًۭاaloneوَأَنتَwhile Youخَيْرُ(are) [the] Bestٱلْوَٰرِثِينَ(of) the inheritors٨٩

And [mention] Zechariah, when he called to his Lord, "My Lord, do not leave me alone [with no heir], while You are the best of inheritors."

٢١:٩٠

فَٱسْتَجَبْنَاSo We respondedلَهُۥto himوَوَهَبْنَاand We bestowedلَهُۥon himيَحْيَىٰYahyaوَأَصْلَحْنَاand We curedلَهُۥfor himزَوْجَهُۥٓ ۚhis wifeإِنَّهُمْIndeed, theyكَانُوا۟used (to)يُسَـٰرِعُونَhastenفِىinٱلْخَيْرَٰتِgood deedsوَيَدْعُونَنَاand they supplicate to Usرَغَبًۭا(in) hopeوَرَهَبًۭا ۖand fearوَكَانُوا۟and they wereلَنَاto Usخَـٰشِعِينَhumbly submissive٩٠

So We responded to him, and We gave to him John, and amended for him his wife. Indeed, they used to hasten to good deeds and supplicate Us in hope and fear, and they were to Us humbly submissive.

٢١:٩١

وَٱلَّتِىٓAnd she whoأَحْصَنَتْguardedفَرْجَهَاher chastityفَنَفَخْنَاso We breathedفِيهَاinto herمِنofرُّوحِنَاOur Spiritوَجَعَلْنَـٰهَاand We made herوَٱبْنَهَآand her sonءَايَةًۭa signلِّلْعَـٰلَمِينَfor the worlds٩١

And [mention] the one who guarded her chastity [i.e., Mary], so We blew into her [garment] through Our angel [i.e., Gabriel], and We made her and her son a sign for the worlds.

٢١:٩٢

إِنَّIndeedهَـٰذِهِۦٓthisأُمَّتُكُمْ(is) your religion أُمَّةًۭreligionوَٰحِدَةًۭoneوَأَنَا۠and I Amرَبُّكُمْyour Lordفَٱعْبُدُونِso worship Me٩٢

Indeed this, your religion, is one religion, and I am your Lord, so worship Me.

٢١:٩٣

وَتَقَطَّعُوٓا۟But they cut offأَمْرَهُمtheir affairبَيْنَهُمْ ۖamong themselvesكُلٌّallإِلَيْنَاto Usرَٰجِعُونَ(will) return٩٣

And [yet] they divided their affair [i.e., that of their religion] among themselves, [but] all to Us will return.

٢١:٩٤

فَمَنThen whoeverيَعْمَلْdoesمِنَ[of]ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ[the] righteous deedsوَهُوَwhile heمُؤْمِنٌۭ(is) a believerفَلَاthen notكُفْرَانَ(will be) rejectedلِسَعْيِهِۦ[of] his effortوَإِنَّاAnd indeed, Weلَهُۥof itكَـٰتِبُونَ(are) Recorders٩٤

So whoever does righteous deeds while he is a believer - no denial will there be for his effort, and indeed We [i.e., Our angels], of it, are recorders.

٢١:٩٥

وَحَرَٰمٌAnd (there is) prohibitionعَلَىٰuponقَرْيَةٍa cityأَهْلَكْنَـٰهَآwhich We have destroyedأَنَّهُمْthat theyلَاnotيَرْجِعُونَwill return٩٥

And it is prohibited to [the people of] a city which We have destroyed that they will [ever] return

٢١:٩٦

حَتَّىٰٓUntilإِذَاwhenفُتِحَتْhas been openedيَأْجُوجُ(for) the Yajujوَمَأْجُوجُand Majujوَهُمand theyمِّنfromكُلِّeveryحَدَبٍۢelevationيَنسِلُونَdescend٩٦

Until when [the dam of] Gog and Magog has been opened and they, from every elevation, descend

٢١:٩٧

وَٱقْتَرَبَAnd has approachedٱلْوَعْدُthe promiseٱلْحَقُّ[the] trueفَإِذَاthen beholdهِىَ[it]شَـٰخِصَةٌ(are) staringأَبْصَـٰرُ(the) eyesٱلَّذِينَ(of) those whoكَفَرُوا۟disbelievedيَـٰوَيْلَنَاO woe to usقَدْVerilyكُنَّاwe had beenفِىinغَفْلَةٍۢheedlessnessمِّنْofهَـٰذَاthisبَلْnayكُنَّاwe wereظَـٰلِمِينَwrongdoers٩٧

And [when] the true promise [i.e., the resurrection] has approached; then suddenly the eyes of those who disbelieved will be staring [in horror, while they say], "O woe to us; we had been unmindful of this; rather, we were wrongdoers."

٢١:٩٨

إِنَّكُمْIndeed, youوَمَاand whatتَعْبُدُونَyou worshipمِنbesides Allahدُونِbesides Allahٱللَّهِbesides Allahحَصَبُ(are) firewoodجَهَنَّمَ(of) HellأَنتُمْYouلَهَاto itوَٰرِدُونَwill come٩٨

Indeed, you [disbelievers] and what you worship other than Allāh are the firewood of Hell. You will be coming to [enter] it.

٢١:٩٩

لَوْIfكَانَwereهَـٰٓؤُلَآءِtheseءَالِهَةًۭgodsمَّاnotوَرَدُوهَا ۖthey (would) have come to itوَكُلٌّۭAnd allفِيهَاthereinخَـٰلِدُونَwill abide forever٩٩

Had these [false deities] been [actual] gods, they would not have come to it, but all are eternal therein.

٢١:١٠٠

لَهُمْFor themفِيهَاthereinزَفِيرٌۭ(is) sighingوَهُمْand theyفِيهَاthereinلَاnotيَسْمَعُونَwill hear١٠٠

For them therein is heavy sighing, and they therein will not hear.

٢١:١٠١

إِنَّIndeedٱلَّذِينَthoseسَبَقَتْhas gone forthلَهُمfor themمِّنَّاfrom Usٱلْحُسْنَىٰٓthe goodأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَthoseعَنْهَاfrom itمُبْعَدُونَ(will be) removed far١٠١

Indeed, those for whom the best [reward] has preceded from Us - they are from it far removed.

٢١:١٠٢

لَاNotيَسْمَعُونَthey will hearحَسِيسَهَا ۖ(the) slightest sound of itوَهُمْand theyفِىinمَاwhatٱشْتَهَتْdesireأَنفُسُهُمْtheir soulsخَـٰلِدُونَwill abide forever١٠٢

They will not hear its sound, while they are, in that which their souls desire, abiding eternally.

٢١:١٠٣

لَاNotيَحْزُنُهُمُwill grieve themٱلْفَزَعُthe terrorٱلْأَكْبَرُ[the] greatestوَتَتَلَقَّىٰهُمُand will meet themٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُthe AngelsهَـٰذَاThisيَوْمُكُمُ(is) your Dayٱلَّذِىwhichكُنتُمْyou wereتُوعَدُونَpromised١٠٣

They will not be grieved by the greatest terror, and the angels will meet them, [saying], "This is your Day which you have been promised" -

٢١:١٠٤

يَوْمَ(The) DayنَطْوِىWe will foldٱلسَّمَآءَthe heavenكَطَىِّlike (the) foldingٱلسِّجِلِّ(of) a scrollلِلْكُتُبِ ۚfor recordsكَمَاAsبَدَأْنَآWe beganأَوَّلَ(the) firstخَلْقٍۢcreationنُّعِيدُهُۥ ۚWe will repeat itوَعْدًاa promiseعَلَيْنَآ ۚupon UsإِنَّاIndeed, We كُنَّاWe areفَـٰعِلِينَ(the) Doers١٠٤

The Day when We will fold the heaven like the folding of a [written] sheet for the records. As We began the first creation, We will repeat it. [That is] a promise binding upon Us. Indeed, We will do it.

٢١:١٠٥

وَلَقَدْAnd verilyكَتَبْنَاWe have writtenفِىinٱلزَّبُورِthe Scriptureمِنۢafterبَعْدِafterٱلذِّكْرِthe mentionأَنَّthatٱلْأَرْضَthe earth يَرِثُهَاwill inherit itعِبَادِىَMy slavesٱلصَّـٰلِحُونَthe righteous١٠٥

And We have already written in the book [of Psalms]1 after the [previous] mention that the land [of Paradise] is inherited by My righteous servants.

٢١:١٠٦

إِنَّIndeedفِىinهَـٰذَاthisلَبَلَـٰغًۭاsurely is a Messageلِّقَوْمٍfor a peopleعَـٰبِدِينَworshippers١٠٦

Indeed, in this [Qur’ān] is notification for a worshipping people.

٢١:١٠٧

وَمَآAnd notأَرْسَلْنَـٰكَWe have sent youإِلَّاbutرَحْمَةًۭ(as) a mercyلِّلْعَـٰلَمِينَfor the worlds١٠٧

And We have not sent you, [O Muḥammad], except as a mercy to the worlds.

٢١:١٠٨

قُلْSayإِنَّمَاOnlyيُوحَىٰٓit is revealedإِلَىَّto meأَنَّمَآthatإِلَـٰهُكُمْyour godإِلَـٰهٌۭ(is) Godوَٰحِدٌۭ ۖOneفَهَلْso willأَنتُمyouمُّسْلِمُونَsubmit (to Him)١٠٨

Say, "It is only revealed to me that your god is but one God; so will you be Muslims [in submission to Him]?"

٢١:١٠٩

فَإِنBut ifتَوَلَّوْا۟they turn awayفَقُلْthen sayءَاذَنتُكُمْI (have) announced to youعَلَىٰequallyسَوَآءٍۢ ۖequallyوَإِنْAnd notأَدْرِىٓI knowأَقَرِيبٌwhether is nearأَمorبَعِيدٌۭfarمَّاwhatتُوعَدُونَyou are promised١٠٩

But if they turn away, then say, "I have announced to [all of] you equally. And I know not whether near or far is that which you are promised.

٢١:١١٠

إِنَّهُۥIndeed, Heيَعْلَمُknowsٱلْجَهْرَthe declaredمِنَ[of]ٱلْقَوْلِ[the] speechوَيَعْلَمُand He knowsمَاwhatتَكْتُمُونَyou conceal١١٠

Indeed, He knows what is declared of speech, and He knows what you conceal.

٢١:١١١

وَإِنْAnd notأَدْرِىI knowلَعَلَّهُۥperhaps it may beفِتْنَةٌۭa trialلَّكُمْfor youوَمَتَـٰعٌand an enjoymentإِلَىٰforحِينٍۢa time١١١

And I know not; perhaps it is a trial for you and enjoyment for a time."

٢١:١١٢

قَـٰلَHe saidرَبِّMy Lordٱحْكُمjudgeبِٱلْحَقِّ ۗin truthوَرَبُّنَاAnd our Lordٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ(is) the Most Graciousٱلْمُسْتَعَانُthe One Whose help is soughtعَلَىٰagainstمَاwhatتَصِفُونَyou attribute١١٢

[The Prophet (ﷺ)] has said, "My Lord, judge [between us] in truth. And our Lord is the Most Merciful, the one whose help is sought against that which you describe."1
