بِسْمِ In (the) name bis'mi

ٱللَّهِ (of) Allah l-lahi
(of) Allah
ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ the Most Gracious l-raḥmāni
the Most Gracious
ٱلرَّحِيمِ the Most Merciful l-raḥīmi
the Most Merciful
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
٣٦:١
يسٓ Ya Seen ya-seen
Ya Seen
١ (1)
(1)
Yā, Seen.
٣٦:٢
وَٱلْقُرْءَانِ By the Quran wal-qur'āni
By the Quran
ٱلْحَكِيمِ the Wise l-ḥakīmi
the Wise
٢ (2)
(2)
By the wise Qur’ān,
٣٦:٣
إِنَّكَ Indeed, you innaka
Indeed, you
لَمِنَ (are) among lamina
(are) among
ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ the Messengers l-mur'salīna
the Messengers
٣ (3)
(3)
Indeed you, [O Muḥammad], are from among the messengers,
٣٦:٤
عَلَىٰ On ʿalā
On
صِرَٰطٍۢ a Path ṣirāṭin
a Path
مُّسْتَقِيمٍۢ Straight mus'taqīmin
Straight
٤ (4)
(4)
On a straight path.
٣٦:٥
تَنزِيلَ A revelation tanzīla
A revelation
ٱلْعَزِيزِ (of) the All-Mighty l-ʿazīzi
(of) the All-Mighty
ٱلرَّحِيمِ the Most Merciful l-raḥīmi
the Most Merciful
٥ (5)
(5)
[This is] a revelation of the Exalted in Might, the Merciful,
٣٦:٦
لِتُنذِرَ That you may warn litundhira
That you may warn
قَوْمًۭا a people qawman
a people
مَّآ not
not
أُنذِرَ were warned undhira
were warned
ءَابَآؤُهُمْ their forefathers ābāuhum
their forefathers
فَهُمْ so they fahum
so they
غَـٰفِلُونَ (are) heedless ghāfilūna
(are) heedless
٦ (6)
(6)
That you may warn a people whose forefathers were not warned, so they are unaware.
٣٦:٧
لَقَدْ Certainly laqad
Certainly
حَقَّ (has) proved true ḥaqqa
(has) proved true
ٱلْقَوْلُ the word l-qawlu
the word
عَلَىٰٓ upon ʿalā
upon
أَكْثَرِهِمْ most of them aktharihim
most of them
فَهُمْ so they fahum
so they
لَا (do) not
(do) not
يُؤْمِنُونَ believe yu'minūna
believe
٧ (7)
(7)
Already the word [i.e., decree] has come into effect upon most of them, so they do not believe.
٣٦:٨
إِنَّا Indeed, We innā
Indeed, We
جَعَلْنَا [We] have placed jaʿalnā
[We] have placed
فِىٓ on
on
أَعْنَـٰقِهِمْ their necks aʿnāqihim
their necks
أَغْلَـٰلًۭا iron collars aghlālan
iron collars
فَهِىَ and they fahiya
and they
إِلَى (are up) to ilā
(are up) to
ٱلْأَذْقَانِ the chins l-adhqāni
the chins
فَهُم so they fahum
so they
مُّقْمَحُونَ (are with) heads raised up muq'maḥūna
(are with) heads raised up
٨ (8)
(8)
Indeed, We have put shackles on their necks, and they are to their chins, so they are with heads [kept] aloft.
٣٦:٩
وَجَعَلْنَا And We have made wajaʿalnā
And We have made
مِنۢ from min
from
بَيْنِ before/between bayni
before/between
أَيْدِيهِمْ their hands/their front aydīhim
their hands/their front
سَدًّۭا a barrier saddan
a barrier
وَمِنْ and from wamin
and from
خَلْفِهِمْ behind them khalfihim
behind them
سَدًّۭا a barrier saddan
a barrier
فَأَغْشَيْنَـٰهُمْ and We covered them fa-aghshaynāhum
and We covered them
فَهُمْ so they fahum
so they
لَا (do) not
(do) not
يُبْصِرُونَ see yub'ṣirūna
see
٩ (9)
(9)
And We have put before them a barrier and behind them a barrier and covered them, so they do not see.
٣٦:١٠
وَسَوَآءٌ And it (is) same wasawāon
And it (is) same
عَلَيْهِمْ to them ʿalayhim
to them
ءَأَنذَرْتَهُمْ whether you warn them a-andhartahum
whether you warn them
أَمْ or am
or
لَمْ (do) not lam
(do) not
تُنذِرْهُمْ warn them tundhir'hum
warn them
لَا not
not
يُؤْمِنُونَ they will believe yu'minūna
they will believe
١٠ (10)
(10)
And it is all the same for them whether you warn them or do not warn them - they will not believe.
٣٦:١١
إِنَّمَا Only innamā
Only
تُنذِرُ you (can) warn tundhiru
you (can) warn
مَنِ (him) who mani
(him) who
ٱتَّبَعَ follows ittabaʿa
follows
ٱلذِّكْرَ the Reminder l-dhik'ra
the Reminder
وَخَشِىَ and fears wakhashiya
and fears
ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنَ the Most Gracious l-raḥmāna
the Most Gracious
بِٱلْغَيْبِ ۖ in the unseen bil-ghaybi
in the unseen
فَبَشِّرْهُ So give him glad tidings fabashir'hu
So give him glad tidings
بِمَغْفِرَةٍۢ of forgiveness bimaghfiratin
of forgiveness
وَأَجْرٍۢ and a reward wa-ajrin
and a reward
كَرِيمٍ noble karīmin
noble
١١ (11)
(11)
You can only warn one who follows the message and fears the Most Merciful unseen. So give him good tidings of forgiveness and noble reward.
٣٦:١٢
إِنَّا Indeed, We innā
Indeed, We
نَحْنُ [We] naḥnu
[We]
نُحْىِ [We] give life nuḥ'yī
[We] give life
ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ (to) the dead l-mawtā
(to) the dead
وَنَكْتُبُ and We record wanaktubu
and We record
مَا what
what
قَدَّمُوا۟ they have sent before qaddamū
they have sent before
وَءَاثَـٰرَهُمْ ۚ and their footprints waāthārahum
and their footprints
وَكُلَّ and every wakulla
and every
شَىْءٍ thing shayin
thing
أَحْصَيْنَـٰهُ We have enumerated it aḥṣaynāhu
We have enumerated it
فِىٓ in
in
إِمَامٍۢ a Register imāmin
a Register
مُّبِينٍۢ clear mubīnin
clear
١٢ (12)
(12)
Indeed, it is We who bring the dead to life and record what they have put forth and what they left behind, and all things We have enumerated in a clear register.
٣٦:١٣
وَٱضْرِبْ And set forth wa-iḍ'rib
And set forth
لَهُم to them lahum
to them
مَّثَلًا an example mathalan
an example
أَصْحَـٰبَ (of the) companions aṣḥāba
(of the) companions
ٱلْقَرْيَةِ (of) the city l-qaryati
(of) the city
إِذْ when idh
when
جَآءَهَا came to it jāahā
came to it
ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ the Messengers l-mur'salūna
the Messengers
١٣ (13)
(13)
And present to them an example: the people of the city, when the messengers came to it -
٣٦:١٤
إِذْ When idh
When
أَرْسَلْنَآ We sent arsalnā
We sent
إِلَيْهِمُ to them ilayhimu
to them
ٱثْنَيْنِ two (Messengers) ith'nayni
two (Messengers)
فَكَذَّبُوهُمَا but they denied both of them fakadhabūhumā
but they denied both of them
فَعَزَّزْنَا so We strengthened them faʿazzaznā
so We strengthened them
بِثَالِثٍۢ with a third bithālithin
with a third
فَقَالُوٓا۟ and they said faqālū
and they said
إِنَّآ Indeed, We innā
Indeed, We
إِلَيْكُم to you ilaykum
to you
مُّرْسَلُونَ (are) Messengers mur'salūna
(are) Messengers
١٤ (14)
(14)
When We sent to them two but they denied them, so We strengthened [them] with a third, and they said, "Indeed, we are messengers to you."
٣٦:١٥
قَالُوا۟ They said qālū
They said
مَآ Not
Not
أَنتُمْ you antum
you
إِلَّا (are) but illā
(are) but
بَشَرٌۭ human beings basharun
human beings
مِّثْلُنَا like us mith'lunā
like us
وَمَآ and not wamā
and not
أَنزَلَ has revealed anzala
has revealed
ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ the Most Gracious l-raḥmānu
the Most Gracious
مِن any min
any
شَىْءٍ thing shayin
thing
إِنْ Not in
Not
أَنتُمْ you antum
you
إِلَّا (are) but illā
(are) but
تَكْذِبُونَ lying takdhibūna
lying
١٥ (15)
(15)
They said, "You are not but human beings like us, and the Most Merciful has not revealed a thing. You are only telling lies."
٣٦:١٦
قَالُوا۟ They said qālū
They said
رَبُّنَا Our Lord rabbunā
Our Lord
يَعْلَمُ knows yaʿlamu
knows
إِنَّآ that we innā
that we
إِلَيْكُمْ to you ilaykum
to you
لَمُرْسَلُونَ (are) surely Messengers lamur'salūna
(are) surely Messengers
١٦ (16)
(16)
They said, "Our Lord knows that we are messengers to you,
٣٦:١٧
وَمَا And not wamā
And not
عَلَيْنَآ (is) on us ʿalaynā
(is) on us
إِلَّا except illā
except
ٱلْبَلَـٰغُ the conveyance l-balāghu
the conveyance
ٱلْمُبِينُ clear l-mubīnu
clear
١٧ (17)
(17)
And we are not responsible except for clear notification."
٣٦:١٨
قَالُوٓا۟ They said qālū
They said
إِنَّا Indeed, we innā
Indeed, we
تَطَيَّرْنَا [we] see an evil omen taṭayyarnā
[we] see an evil omen
بِكُمْ ۖ from you bikum
from you
لَئِن If la-in
If
لَّمْ not lam
not
تَنتَهُوا۟ you desist tantahū
you desist
لَنَرْجُمَنَّكُمْ surely, we will stone you lanarjumannakum
surely, we will stone you
وَلَيَمَسَّنَّكُم and surely will touch you walayamassannakum
and surely will touch you
مِّنَّا from us minnā
from us
عَذَابٌ a punishment ʿadhābun
a punishment
أَلِيمٌۭ painful alīmun
painful
١٨ (18)
(18)
They said, "Indeed, we consider you a bad omen. If you do not desist, we will surely stone you, and there will surely touch you, from us, a painful punishment."
٣٦:١٩
قَالُوا۟ They said qālū
They said
طَـٰٓئِرُكُم Your evil omen ṭāirukum
Your evil omen
مَّعَكُمْ ۚ (be) with you maʿakum
(be) with you
أَئِن Is it because a-in
Is it because
ذُكِّرْتُم ۚ you are admonished dhukkir'tum
you are admonished
بَلْ Nay bal
Nay
أَنتُمْ you antum
you
قَوْمٌۭ (are) a people qawmun
(are) a people
مُّسْرِفُونَ transgressing mus'rifūna
transgressing
١٩ (19)
(19)
They said, "Your omen [i.e., fate] is with yourselves. Is it because you were reminded? Rather, you are a transgressing people."
٣٦:٢٠
وَجَآءَ And came wajāa
And came
مِنْ from min
from
أَقْصَا (the) farthest end aqṣā
(the) farthest end
ٱلْمَدِينَةِ (of) the city l-madīnati
(of) the city
رَجُلٌۭ a man rajulun
a man
يَسْعَىٰ running yasʿā
running
قَالَ He said qāla
He said
يَـٰقَوْمِ O my People yāqawmi
O my People
ٱتَّبِعُوا۟ Follow ittabiʿū
Follow
ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ the Messengers l-mur'salīna
the Messengers
٢٠ (20)
(20)
And there came from the farthest end of the city a man, running. He said, "O my people, follow the messengers.
٣٦:٢١
ٱتَّبِعُوا۟ Follow ittabiʿū
Follow
مَن (those) who man
(those) who
لَّا (do) not
(do) not
يَسْـَٔلُكُمْ ask (of) you yasalukum
ask (of) you
أَجْرًۭا any payment ajran
any payment
وَهُم and they wahum
and they
مُّهْتَدُونَ (are) rightly guided muh'tadūna
(are) rightly guided
٢١ (21)
(21)
Follow those who do not ask of you [any] payment, and they are [rightly] guided.
٣٦:٢٢
وَمَا And what wamā
And what
لِىَ (is) for me liya
(is) for me
لَآ (that) not
(that) not
أَعْبُدُ I worship aʿbudu
I worship
ٱلَّذِى the One Who alladhī
the One Who
فَطَرَنِى created me faṭaranī
created me
وَإِلَيْهِ and to Whom wa-ilayhi
and to Whom
تُرْجَعُونَ you will be returned tur'jaʿūna
you will be returned
٢٢ (22)
(22)
And why should I not worship He who created me and to whom you will be returned?
٣٦:٢٣
ءَأَتَّخِذُ Should I take a-attakhidhu
Should I take
مِن besides Him min
besides Him
دُونِهِۦٓ besides Him dūnihi
besides Him
ءَالِهَةً gods ālihatan
gods
إِن If in
If
يُرِدْنِ intends for me yurid'ni
intends for me
ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ the Most Gracious l-raḥmānu
the Most Gracious
بِضُرٍّۢ any harm biḍurrin
any harm
لَّا not
not
تُغْنِ will avail tugh'ni
will avail
عَنِّى [from] me ʿannī
[from] me
شَفَـٰعَتُهُمْ their intercession shafāʿatuhum
their intercession
شَيْـًۭٔا (in) anything shayan
(in) anything
وَلَا and not walā
and not
يُنقِذُونِ they (can) save me yunqidhūni
they (can) save me
٢٣ (23)
(23)
Should I take other than Him [false] deities [while], if the Most Merciful intends for me some adversity, their intercession will not avail me at all, nor can they save me?
٣٦:٢٤
إِنِّىٓ Indeed, I innī
Indeed, I
إِذًۭا then idhan
then
لَّفِى surely would be in lafī
surely would be in
ضَلَـٰلٍۢ an error ḍalālin
an error
مُّبِينٍ clear mubīnin
clear
٢٤ (24)
(24)
Indeed, I would then be in manifest error.
٣٦:٢٥
إِنِّىٓ Indeed, I innī
Indeed, I
ءَامَنتُ [I] have believed āmantu
[I] have believed
بِرَبِّكُمْ in your Lord birabbikum
in your Lord
فَٱسْمَعُونِ so listen to me fa-is'maʿūni
so listen to me
٢٥ (25)
(25)
Indeed, I have believed in your Lord, so listen to me."
٣٦:٢٦
قِيلَ It was said qīla
It was said
ٱدْخُلِ Enter ud'khuli
Enter
ٱلْجَنَّةَ ۖ Paradise l-janata
Paradise
قَالَ He said qāla
He said
يَـٰلَيْتَ I wish yālayta
I wish
قَوْمِى my people qawmī
my people
يَعْلَمُونَ knew yaʿlamūna
knew
٢٦ (26)
(26)
It was said, "Enter Paradise."1 He said, "I wish my people could know
٣٦:٢٧
بِمَا Of how bimā
Of how
غَفَرَ has forgiven ghafara
has forgiven
لِى me
me
رَبِّى my Lord rabbī
my Lord
وَجَعَلَنِى and placed me wajaʿalanī
and placed me
مِنَ among mina
among
ٱلْمُكْرَمِينَ the honored ones l-muk'ramīna
the honored ones
٢٧ (27)
(27)
Of how my Lord has forgiven me and placed me among the honored."
٣٦:٢٨
۞ وَمَآ And not wamā
And not
أَنزَلْنَا We sent down anzalnā
We sent down
عَلَىٰ upon ʿalā
upon
قَوْمِهِۦ his people qawmihi
his people
مِنۢ after him min
after him
بَعْدِهِۦ after him baʿdihi
after him
مِن any min
any
جُندٍۢ host jundin
host
مِّنَ from mina
from
ٱلسَّمَآءِ the heaven l-samāi
the heaven
وَمَا and not wamā
and not
كُنَّا were We kunnā
were We
مُنزِلِينَ (to) send down munzilīna
(to) send down
٢٨ (28)
(28)
And We did not send down upon his people after him any soldiers from the heaven, nor would We have done so.
٣٦:٢٩
إِن Not in
Not
كَانَتْ it was kānat
it was
إِلَّا but illā
but
صَيْحَةًۭ a shout ṣayḥatan
a shout
وَٰحِدَةًۭ one wāḥidatan
one
فَإِذَا then behold fa-idhā
then behold
هُمْ They hum
They
خَـٰمِدُونَ (were) extinguished khāmidūna
(were) extinguished
٢٩ (29)
(29)
It was not but one shout, and immediately they were extinguished.
٣٦:٣٠
يَـٰحَسْرَةً Alas yāḥasratan
Alas
عَلَى for ʿalā
for
ٱلْعِبَادِ ۚ the servants l-ʿibādi
the servants
مَا Not
Not
يَأْتِيهِم came to them yatīhim
came to them
مِّن any min
any
رَّسُولٍ Messenger rasūlin
Messenger
إِلَّا but illā
but
كَانُوا۟ they did kānū
they did
بِهِۦ mock at him bihi
mock at him
يَسْتَهْزِءُونَ mock at him yastahziūna
mock at him
٣٠ (30)
(30)
How regretful for the servants. There did not come to them any messenger except that they used to ridicule him.
٣٦:٣١
أَلَمْ Do not alam
Do not
يَرَوْا۟ they see yaraw
they see
كَمْ how many kam
how many
أَهْلَكْنَا We destroyed ahlaknā
We destroyed
قَبْلَهُم before them qablahum
before them
مِّنَ of mina
of
ٱلْقُرُونِ the generations l-qurūni
the generations
أَنَّهُمْ That they annahum
That they
إِلَيْهِمْ to them ilayhim
to them
لَا will not return
will not return
يَرْجِعُونَ will not return yarjiʿūna
will not return
٣١ (31)
(31)
Have they not considered how many generations We destroyed before them - that they to them will not return?
٣٦:٣٢
وَإِن And surely wa-in
And surely
كُلٌّۭ all kullun
all
لَّمَّا then lammā
then
جَمِيعٌۭ together jamīʿun
together
لَّدَيْنَا before Us ladaynā
before Us
مُحْضَرُونَ (will be) brought muḥ'ḍarūna
(will be) brought
٣٢ (32)
(32)
And indeed, all of them will yet be brought present before Us.
٣٦:٣٣
وَءَايَةٌۭ And a Sign waāyatun
And a Sign
لَّهُمُ for them lahumu
for them
ٱلْأَرْضُ (is) the earth l-arḍu
(is) the earth
ٱلْمَيْتَةُ dead l-maytatu
dead
أَحْيَيْنَـٰهَا We give it life aḥyaynāhā
We give it life
وَأَخْرَجْنَا and We bring forth wa-akhrajnā
and We bring forth
مِنْهَا from it min'hā
from it
حَبًّۭا grain ḥabban
grain
فَمِنْهُ and from it famin'hu
and from it
يَأْكُلُونَ they eat yakulūna
they eat
٣٣ (33)
(33)
And a sign for them is the dead earth. We have brought it to life and brought forth from it grain, and from it they eat.
٣٦:٣٤
وَجَعَلْنَا And We placed wajaʿalnā
And We placed
فِيهَا therein fīhā
therein
جَنَّـٰتٍۢ gardens jannātin
gardens
مِّن of min
of
نَّخِيلٍۢ date-palms nakhīlin
date-palms
وَأَعْنَـٰبٍۢ and grapevines wa-aʿnābin
and grapevines
وَفَجَّرْنَا and We caused to gush forth wafajjarnā
and We caused to gush forth
فِيهَا in it fīhā
in it
مِنَ of mina
of
ٱلْعُيُونِ the springs l-ʿuyūni
the springs
٣٤ (34)
(34)
And We placed therein gardens of palm trees and grapevines and caused to burst forth therefrom some springs -
٣٦:٣٥
لِيَأْكُلُوا۟ That they may eat liyakulū
That they may eat
مِن of min
of
ثَمَرِهِۦ its fruit thamarihi
its fruit
وَمَا And not wamā
And not
عَمِلَتْهُ made it ʿamilathu
made it
أَيْدِيهِمْ ۖ their hands aydīhim
their hands
أَفَلَا So will not afalā
So will not
يَشْكُرُونَ they be grateful yashkurūna
they be grateful
٣٥ (35)
(35)
That they may eat of His fruit. And their hands have not produced it, so will they not be grateful?
٣٦:٣٦
سُبْحَـٰنَ Glory be sub'ḥāna
Glory be
ٱلَّذِى (to) the One Who alladhī
(to) the One Who
خَلَقَ created khalaqa
created
ٱلْأَزْوَٰجَ (in) pairs l-azwāja
(in) pairs
كُلَّهَا all kullahā
all
مِمَّا of what mimmā
of what
تُنۢبِتُ grows tunbitu
grows
ٱلْأَرْضُ the earth l-arḍu
the earth
وَمِنْ and of wamin
and of
أَنفُسِهِمْ themselves anfusihim
themselves
وَمِمَّا and of what wamimmā
and of what
لَا not
not
يَعْلَمُونَ they know yaʿlamūna
they know
٣٦ (36)
(36)
Exalted is He who created all pairs - from what the earth grows and from themselves and from that which they do not know.
٣٦:٣٧
وَءَايَةٌۭ And a Sign waāyatun
And a Sign
لَّهُمُ for them lahumu
for them
ٱلَّيْلُ (is) the night al-laylu
(is) the night
نَسْلَخُ We withdraw naslakhu
We withdraw
مِنْهُ from it min'hu
from it
ٱلنَّهَارَ the day l-nahāra
the day
فَإِذَا Then behold fa-idhā
Then behold
هُم They hum
They
مُّظْلِمُونَ (are) those in darkness muẓ'limūna
(are) those in darkness
٣٧ (37)
(37)
And a sign for them is the night. We remove from it the [light of] day, so they are [left] in darkness.
٣٦:٣٨
وَٱلشَّمْسُ And the sun wal-shamsu
And the sun
تَجْرِى runs tajrī
runs
لِمُسْتَقَرٍّۢ to a term appointed limus'taqarrin
to a term appointed
لَّهَا ۚ for it lahā
for it
ذَٰلِكَ That dhālika
That
تَقْدِيرُ (is the) Decree taqdīru
(is the) Decree
ٱلْعَزِيزِ (of) the All-Mighty l-ʿazīzi
(of) the All-Mighty
ٱلْعَلِيمِ the All-Knowing l-ʿalīmi
the All-Knowing
٣٨ (38)
(38)
And the sun runs [on course] toward its stopping point. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing.
٣٦:٣٩
وَٱلْقَمَرَ And the moon wal-qamara
And the moon
قَدَّرْنَـٰهُ We have ordained for it qaddarnāhu
We have ordained for it
مَنَازِلَ phases manāzila
phases
حَتَّىٰ until ḥattā
until
عَادَ it returns ʿāda
it returns
كَٱلْعُرْجُونِ like the date stalk kal-ʿur'jūni
like the date stalk
ٱلْقَدِيمِ the old l-qadīmi
the old
٣٩ (39)
(39)
And the moon - We have determined for it phases, until it returns [appearing] like the old date stalk.
٣٦:٤٠
لَا Not
Not
ٱلشَّمْسُ the sun l-shamsu
the sun
يَنۢبَغِى is permitted yanbaghī
is permitted
لَهَآ for it lahā
for it
أَن that an
that
تُدْرِكَ it overtakes tud'rika
it overtakes
ٱلْقَمَرَ the moon l-qamara
the moon
وَلَا and not walā
and not
ٱلَّيْلُ the night al-laylu
the night
سَابِقُ (can) outstrip sābiqu
(can) outstrip
ٱلنَّهَارِ ۚ the day l-nahāri
the day
وَكُلٌّۭ but all wakullun
but all
فِى in
in
فَلَكٍۢ an orbit falakin
an orbit
يَسْبَحُونَ they are floating yasbaḥūna
they are floating
٤٠ (40)
(40)
It is not allowable [i.e., possible] for the sun to reach the moon, nor does the night overtake the day, but each, in an orbit, is swimming.
٣٦:٤١
وَءَايَةٌۭ And a Sign waāyatun
And a Sign
لَّهُمْ for them lahum
for them
أَنَّا (is) that annā
(is) that
حَمَلْنَا We carried ḥamalnā
We carried
ذُرِّيَّتَهُمْ their offspring dhurriyyatahum
their offspring
فِى in
in
ٱلْفُلْكِ the ship l-ful'ki
the ship
ٱلْمَشْحُونِ laden l-mashḥūni
laden
٤١ (41)
(41)
And a sign for them is that We carried their forefathers in a laden ship.
٣٦:٤٢
وَخَلَقْنَا And We created wakhalaqnā
And We created
لَهُم for them lahum
for them
مِّن from min
from
مِّثْلِهِۦ (the) likes of it mith'lihi
(the) likes of it
مَا what
what
يَرْكَبُونَ they ride yarkabūna
they ride
٤٢ (42)
(42)
And We created for them from the likes of it that which they ride.
٣٦:٤٣
وَإِن And if wa-in
And if
نَّشَأْ We will nasha
We will
نُغْرِقْهُمْ We could drown them nugh'riq'hum
We could drown them
فَلَا then not falā
then not
صَرِيخَ (would be) a responder to a cry ṣarīkha
(would be) a responder to a cry
لَهُمْ for them lahum
for them
وَلَا and not walā
and not
هُمْ they hum
they
يُنقَذُونَ would be saved yunqadhūna
would be saved
٤٣ (43)
(43)
And if We should will, We could drown them; then no one responding to a cry would there be for them, nor would they be saved
٣٦:٤٤
إِلَّا Except illā
Except
رَحْمَةًۭ (by) Mercy raḥmatan
(by) Mercy
مِّنَّا from Us minnā
from Us
وَمَتَـٰعًا and provision wamatāʿan
and provision
إِلَىٰ for ilā
for
حِينٍۢ a time ḥīnin
a time
٤٤ (44)
(44)
Except as a mercy from Us and provision for a time.
٣٦:٤٥
وَإِذَا And when wa-idhā
And when
قِيلَ it is said qīla
it is said
لَهُمُ to them lahumu
to them
ٱتَّقُوا۟ Fear ittaqū
Fear
مَا what
what
بَيْنَ (is) before you bayna
(is) before you
أَيْدِيكُمْ (is) before you aydīkum
(is) before you
وَمَا and what wamā
and what
خَلْفَكُمْ (is) behind you khalfakum
(is) behind you
لَعَلَّكُمْ so that you may laʿallakum
so that you may
تُرْحَمُونَ receive mercy tur'ḥamūna
receive mercy
٤٥ (45)
(45)
But when it is said to them, "Beware of what is before you and what is behind you; perhaps you will receive mercy..."2
٣٦:٤٦
وَمَا And not wamā
And not
تَأْتِيهِم comes to them tatīhim
comes to them
مِّنْ of min
of
ءَايَةٍۢ a Sign āyatin
a Sign
مِّنْ from min
from
ءَايَـٰتِ (the) Signs āyāti
(the) Signs
رَبِّهِمْ (of) their Lord rabbihim
(of) their Lord
إِلَّا but illā
but
كَانُوا۟ they kānū
they
عَنْهَا from it ʿanhā
from it
مُعْرِضِينَ turn away muʿ'riḍīna
turn away
٤٦ (46)
(46)
And no sign comes to them from the signs of their Lord except that they are from it turning away.
٣٦:٤٧
وَإِذَا And when wa-idhā
And when
قِيلَ it is said qīla
it is said
لَهُمْ to them lahum
to them
أَنفِقُوا۟ Spend anfiqū
Spend
مِمَّا from what mimmā
from what
رَزَقَكُمُ (has) provided you razaqakumu
(has) provided you
ٱللَّهُ Allah l-lahu
Allah
قَالَ Said qāla
Said
ٱلَّذِينَ those who alladhīna
those who
كَفَرُوا۟ disbelieved kafarū
disbelieved
لِلَّذِينَ to those who lilladhīna
to those who
ءَامَنُوٓا۟ believed āmanū
believed
أَنُطْعِمُ Should we feed anuṭ'ʿimu
Should we feed
مَن whom man
whom
لَّوْ if law
if
يَشَآءُ Allah willed yashāu
Allah willed
ٱللَّهُ Allah willed l-lahu
Allah willed
أَطْعَمَهُۥٓ He would have fed him aṭʿamahu
He would have fed him
إِنْ Not in
Not
أَنتُمْ (are) you antum
(are) you
إِلَّا except illā
except
فِى in
in
ضَلَـٰلٍۢ an error ḍalālin
an error
مُّبِينٍۢ clear mubīnin
clear
٤٧ (47)
(47)
And when it is said to them, "Spend from that which Allāh has provided for you," those who disbelieve say to those who believe, "Should we feed one whom, if Allāh had willed, He would have fed? You are not but in clear error."
٣٦:٤٨
وَيَقُولُونَ And they say wayaqūlūna
And they say
مَتَىٰ When (is) matā
When (is)
هَـٰذَا this hādhā
this
ٱلْوَعْدُ promise l-waʿdu
promise
إِن if in
if
كُنتُمْ you are kuntum
you are
صَـٰدِقِينَ truthful ṣādiqīna
truthful
٤٨ (48)
(48)
And they say, "When is this promise, if you should be truthful?"
٣٦:٤٩
مَا Not
Not
يَنظُرُونَ they await yanẓurūna
they await
إِلَّا except illā
except
صَيْحَةًۭ a shout ṣayḥatan
a shout
وَٰحِدَةًۭ one wāḥidatan
one
تَأْخُذُهُمْ it will seize them takhudhuhum
it will seize them
وَهُمْ while they wahum
while they
يَخِصِّمُونَ are disputing yakhiṣṣimūna
are disputing
٤٩ (49)
(49)
They do not await except one blast which will seize them while they are disputing.
٣٦:٥٠
فَلَا Then not falā
Then not
يَسْتَطِيعُونَ they will be able yastaṭīʿūna
they will be able
تَوْصِيَةًۭ (to) make a will tawṣiyatan
(to) make a will
وَلَآ and not walā
and not
إِلَىٰٓ to ilā
to
أَهْلِهِمْ their people ahlihim
their people
يَرْجِعُونَ they (can) return yarjiʿūna
they (can) return
٥٠ (50)
(50)
And they will not be able [to give] any instruction, nor to their people can they return.
٣٦:٥١
وَنُفِخَ And will be blown wanufikha
And will be blown
فِى [in]
[in]
ٱلصُّورِ the trumpet l-ṣūri
the trumpet
فَإِذَا and behold fa-idhā
and behold
هُم They hum
They
مِّنَ from mina
from
ٱلْأَجْدَاثِ the graves l-ajdāthi
the graves
إِلَىٰ to ilā
to
رَبِّهِمْ their Lord rabbihim
their Lord
يَنسِلُونَ [they] will hasten yansilūna
[they] will hasten
٥١ (51)
(51)
And the Horn will be blown; and at once from the graves to their Lord they will hasten.
٣٦:٥٢
قَالُوا۟ They [will] say qālū
They [will] say
يَـٰوَيْلَنَا O woe to us yāwaylanā
O woe to us
مَنۢ Who man
Who
بَعَثَنَا has raised us baʿathanā
has raised us
مِن from min
from
مَّرْقَدِنَا ۜ ۗ our sleeping place marqadinā
our sleeping place
هَـٰذَا This (is) hādhā
This (is)
مَا What
What
وَعَدَ (had) promised waʿada
(had) promised
ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ the Most Gracious l-raḥmānu
the Most Gracious
وَصَدَقَ and told (the) truth waṣadaqa
and told (the) truth
ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ the Messengers l-mur'salūna
the Messengers
٥٢ (52)
(52)
They will say, "O woe to us! Who has raised us up from our sleeping place?" [The reply will be], "This is what the Most Merciful had promised, and the messengers told the truth."
٣٦:٥٣
إِن Not in
Not
كَانَتْ it will be kānat
it will be
إِلَّا but illā
but
صَيْحَةًۭ a shout ṣayḥatan
a shout
وَٰحِدَةًۭ single wāḥidatan
single
فَإِذَا so behold fa-idhā
so behold
هُمْ They hum
They
جَمِيعٌۭ all jamīʿun
all
لَّدَيْنَا before Us ladaynā
before Us
مُحْضَرُونَ (will be) brought muḥ'ḍarūna
(will be) brought
٥٣ (53)
(53)
It will not be but one blast, and at once they are all brought present before Us.
٣٦:٥٤
فَٱلْيَوْمَ So this Day fal-yawma
So this Day
لَا not
not
تُظْلَمُ will be wronged tuẓ'lamu
will be wronged
نَفْسٌۭ a soul nafsun
a soul
شَيْـًۭٔا (in) anything shayan
(in) anything
وَلَا and not walā
and not
تُجْزَوْنَ you will be recompensed tuj'zawna
you will be recompensed
إِلَّا except illā
except
مَا (for) what
(for) what
كُنتُمْ you used (to) kuntum
you used (to)
تَعْمَلُونَ do taʿmalūna
do
٥٤ (54)
(54)
So today [i.e., the Day of Judgement] no soul will be wronged at all, and you will not be recompensed except for what you used to do.
٣٦:٥٥
إِنَّ Indeed inna
Indeed
أَصْحَـٰبَ (the) companions aṣḥāba
(the) companions
ٱلْجَنَّةِ (of) Paradise l-janati
(of) Paradise
ٱلْيَوْمَ this Day l-yawma
this Day
فِى [in]
[in]
شُغُلٍۢ will be occupied shughulin
will be occupied
فَـٰكِهُونَ (in) amusement fākihūna
(in) amusement
٥٥ (55)
(55)
Indeed the companions of Paradise, that Day, will be amused in [joyful] occupation -
٣٦:٥٦
هُمْ They hum
They
وَأَزْوَٰجُهُمْ and their spouses wa-azwājuhum
and their spouses
فِى in
in
ظِلَـٰلٍ shades ẓilālin
shades
عَلَى on ʿalā
on
ٱلْأَرَآئِكِ [the] couches l-arāiki
[the] couches
مُتَّكِـُٔونَ reclining muttakiūna
reclining
٥٦ (56)
(56)
They and their spouses - in shade, reclining on adorned couches.
٣٦:٥٧
لَهُمْ For them lahum
For them
فِيهَا therein fīhā
therein
فَـٰكِهَةٌۭ (are) fruits fākihatun
(are) fruits
وَلَهُم and for them walahum
and for them
مَّا (is) whatever
(is) whatever
يَدَّعُونَ they call for yaddaʿūna
they call for
٥٧ (57)
(57)
For them therein is fruit, and for them is whatever they request [or wish]
٣٦:٥٨
سَلَـٰمٌۭ Peace salāmun
Peace
قَوْلًۭا A word qawlan
A word
مِّن from min
from
رَّبٍّۢ a Lord rabbin
a Lord
رَّحِيمٍۢ Most Merciful raḥīmin
Most Merciful
٥٨ (58)
(58)
[And] "Peace," a word from a Merciful Lord.
٣٦:٥٩
وَٱمْتَـٰزُوا۟ But stand apart wa-im'tāzū
But stand apart
ٱلْيَوْمَ today l-yawma
today
أَيُّهَا O criminals ayyuhā
O criminals
ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ O criminals l-muj'rimūna
O criminals
٥٩ (59)
(59)
[Then He will say], "But stand apart today, you criminals.
٣٦:٦٠
۞ أَلَمْ Did not alam
Did not
أَعْهَدْ I enjoin aʿhad
I enjoin
إِلَيْكُمْ upon you ilaykum
upon you
يَـٰبَنِىٓ O Children of Adam yābanī
O Children of Adam
ءَادَمَ O Children of Adam ādama
O Children of Adam
أَن That an
That
لَّا (do) not
(do) not
تَعْبُدُوا۟ worship taʿbudū
worship
ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنَ ۖ the Shaitaan l-shayṭāna
the Shaitaan
إِنَّهُۥ indeed, he innahu
indeed, he
لَكُمْ (is) for you lakum
(is) for you
عَدُوٌّۭ an enemy ʿaduwwun
an enemy
مُّبِينٌۭ clear mubīnun
clear
٦٠ (60)
(60)
Did I not enjoin upon you, O children of Adam, that you not worship Satan - [for] indeed, he is to you a clear enemy -
٣٦:٦١
وَأَنِ And that wa-ani
And that
ٱعْبُدُونِى ۚ you worship Me uʿ'budūnī
you worship Me
هَـٰذَا This hādhā
This
صِرَٰطٌۭ (is) a Path ṣirāṭun
(is) a Path
مُّسْتَقِيمٌۭ Straight mus'taqīmun
Straight
٦١ (61)
(61)
And that you worship [only] Me? This is a straight path.
٣٦:٦٢
وَلَقَدْ And indeed walaqad
And indeed
أَضَلَّ he led astray aḍalla
he led astray
مِنكُمْ from you minkum
from you
جِبِلًّۭا a multitude jibillan
a multitude
كَثِيرًا ۖ great kathīran
great
أَفَلَمْ Then did not afalam
Then did not
تَكُونُوا۟ you takūnū
you
تَعْقِلُونَ use reason taʿqilūna
use reason
٦٢ (62)
(62)
And he had already led astray from among you much of creation, so did you not use reason?
٣٦:٦٣
هَـٰذِهِۦ This (is) hādhihi
This (is)
جَهَنَّمُ (the) Hell jahannamu
(the) Hell
ٱلَّتِى which allatī
which
كُنتُمْ you were kuntum
you were
تُوعَدُونَ promised tūʿadūna
promised
٦٣ (63)
(63)
This is the Hellfire which you were promised.
٣٦:٦٤
ٱصْلَوْهَا Burn therein iṣ'lawhā
Burn therein
ٱلْيَوْمَ today l-yawma
today
بِمَا because bimā
because
كُنتُمْ you used to kuntum
you used to
تَكْفُرُونَ disbelieve takfurūna
disbelieve
٦٤ (64)
(64)
[Enter to] burn therein today for what you used to deny."1
٣٦:٦٥
ٱلْيَوْمَ This Day al-yawma
This Day
نَخْتِمُ We will seal nakhtimu
We will seal
عَلَىٰٓ [on] ʿalā
[on]
أَفْوَٰهِهِمْ their mouths afwāhihim
their mouths
وَتُكَلِّمُنَآ and will speak to Us watukallimunā
and will speak to Us
أَيْدِيهِمْ their hands aydīhim
their hands
وَتَشْهَدُ and will bear witness watashhadu
and will bear witness
أَرْجُلُهُم their feet arjuluhum
their feet
بِمَا about what bimā
about what
كَانُوا۟ they used to kānū
they used to
يَكْسِبُونَ earn yaksibūna
earn
٦٥ (65)
(65)
That Day, We will seal over their mouths, and their hands will speak to Us, and their feet will testify about what they used to earn.
٣٦:٦٦
وَلَوْ And if walaw
And if
نَشَآءُ We willed nashāu
We willed
لَطَمَسْنَا We (would have) surely obliterated laṭamasnā
We (would have) surely obliterated
عَلَىٰٓ [over] ʿalā
[over]
أَعْيُنِهِمْ their eyes aʿyunihim
their eyes
فَٱسْتَبَقُوا۟ then they (would) race fa-is'tabaqū
then they (would) race
ٱلصِّرَٰطَ (to find) the path l-ṣirāṭa
(to find) the path
فَأَنَّىٰ then how fa-annā
then how
يُبْصِرُونَ (could) they see yub'ṣirūna
(could) they see
٦٦ (66)
(66)
And if We willed, We could have obliterated their eyes, and they would race to [find] the path, and how could they see?
٣٦:٦٧
وَلَوْ And if walaw
And if
نَشَآءُ We willed nashāu
We willed
لَمَسَخْنَـٰهُمْ surely, We (would have) transformed them lamasakhnāhum
surely, We (would have) transformed them
عَلَىٰ in ʿalā
in
مَكَانَتِهِمْ their places makānatihim
their places
فَمَا then not famā
then not
ٱسْتَطَـٰعُوا۟ they would have been able is'taṭāʿū
they would have been able
مُضِيًّۭا to proceed muḍiyyan
to proceed
وَلَا and not walā
and not
يَرْجِعُونَ return yarjiʿūna
return
٦٧ (67)
(67)
And if We willed, We could have deformed them, [paralyzing them] in their places so they would not be able to proceed, nor could they return.
٣٦:٦٨
وَمَن And (he) whom waman
And (he) whom
نُّعَمِّرْهُ We grant him long life nuʿammir'hu
We grant him long life
نُنَكِّسْهُ We reverse him nunakkis'hu
We reverse him
فِى in
in
ٱلْخَلْقِ ۖ the creation l-khalqi
the creation
أَفَلَا Then will not afalā
Then will not
يَعْقِلُونَ they use intellect yaʿqilūna
they use intellect
٦٨ (68)
(68)
And he to whom We grant long life We reverse in creation; so will they not understand?
٣٦:٦٩
وَمَا And not wamā
And not
عَلَّمْنَـٰهُ We taught him ʿallamnāhu
We taught him
ٱلشِّعْرَ [the] poetry l-shiʿ'ra
[the] poetry
وَمَا and not wamā
and not
يَنۢبَغِى it is befitting yanbaghī
it is befitting
لَهُۥٓ ۚ for him lahu
for him
إِنْ Not in
Not
هُوَ it huwa
it
إِلَّا (is) except illā
(is) except
ذِكْرٌۭ a Reminder dhik'run
a Reminder
وَقُرْءَانٌۭ and a Quran waqur'ānun
and a Quran
مُّبِينٌۭ clear mubīnun
clear
٦٩ (69)
(69)
And We did not give him [i.e., Prophet Muḥammad (ﷺ)] knowledge of poetry, nor is it befitting for him. It is not but a message and a clear Qur’ān
٣٦:٧٠
لِّيُنذِرَ To warn liyundhira
To warn
مَن (him) who man
(him) who
كَانَ is kāna
is
حَيًّۭا alive ḥayyan
alive
وَيَحِقَّ and may be proved true wayaḥiqqa
and may be proved true
ٱلْقَوْلُ the Word l-qawlu
the Word
عَلَى against ʿalā
against
ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ the disbelievers l-kāfirīna
the disbelievers
٧٠ (70)
(70)
To warn whoever is alive and justify the word [i.e., decree] against the disbelievers.
٣٦:٧١
أَوَلَمْ Do not awalam
Do not
يَرَوْا۟ they see yaraw
they see
أَنَّا that We annā
that We
خَلَقْنَا [We] created khalaqnā
[We] created
لَهُم for them lahum
for them
مِّمَّا from what mimmā
from what
عَمِلَتْ have made ʿamilat
have made
أَيْدِينَآ Our hands aydīnā
Our hands
أَنْعَـٰمًۭا cattle anʿāman
cattle
فَهُمْ then they fahum
then they
لَهَا [for them] lahā
[for them]
مَـٰلِكُونَ (are the) owners mālikūna
(are the) owners
٧١ (71)
(71)
Do they not see that We have created for them from what Our hands have made, grazing livestock, and [then] they are their owners?
٣٦:٧٢
وَذَلَّلْنَـٰهَا And We have tamed them wadhallalnāhā
And We have tamed them
لَهُمْ for them lahum
for them
فَمِنْهَا so some of them famin'hā
so some of them
رَكُوبُهُمْ they ride them rakūbuhum
they ride them
وَمِنْهَا and some of them wamin'hā
and some of them
يَأْكُلُونَ they eat yakulūna
they eat
٧٢ (72)
(72)
And We have tamed them for them, so some of them they ride, and some of them they eat.
٣٦:٧٣
وَلَهُمْ And for them walahum
And for them
فِيهَا therein fīhā
therein
مَنَـٰفِعُ (are) benefits manāfiʿu
(are) benefits
وَمَشَارِبُ ۖ and drinks wamashāribu
and drinks
أَفَلَا so (will) not afalā
so (will) not
يَشْكُرُونَ they give thanks yashkurūna
they give thanks
٧٣ (73)
(73)
And for them therein are [other] benefits and drinks, so will they not be grateful?
٣٦:٧٤
وَٱتَّخَذُوا۟ But they have taken wa-ittakhadhū
But they have taken
مِن besides min
besides
دُونِ besides dūni
besides
ٱللَّهِ Allah l-lahi
Allah
ءَالِهَةًۭ gods ālihatan
gods
لَّعَلَّهُمْ that they may laʿallahum
that they may
يُنصَرُونَ be helped yunṣarūna
be helped
٧٤ (74)
(74)
But they have taken besides Allāh [false] deities that perhaps they would be helped.
٣٦:٧٥
لَا Not
Not
يَسْتَطِيعُونَ they are able yastaṭīʿūna
they are able
نَصْرَهُمْ to help them naṣrahum
to help them
وَهُمْ but they wahum
but they
لَهُمْ for them lahum
for them
جُندٌۭ (are) hosts jundun
(are) hosts
مُّحْضَرُونَ (who will) be brought muḥ'ḍarūna
(who will) be brought
٧٥ (75)
(75)
They are not able to help them, and they [themselves] are for them soldiers in attendance.
٣٦:٧٦
فَلَا So (let) not falā
So (let) not
يَحْزُنكَ grieve you yaḥzunka
grieve you
قَوْلُهُمْ ۘ their speech qawluhum
their speech
إِنَّا Indeed, We innā
Indeed, We
نَعْلَمُ [We] know naʿlamu
[We] know
مَا what
what
يُسِرُّونَ they conceal yusirrūna
they conceal
وَمَا and what wamā
and what
يُعْلِنُونَ they declare yuʿ'linūna
they declare
٧٦ (76)
(76)
So let not their speech grieve you. Indeed, We know what they conceal and what they declare.
٣٦:٧٧
أَوَلَمْ Does not awalam
Does not
يَرَ see yara
see
ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ [the] man l-insānu
[the] man
أَنَّا that We annā
that We
خَلَقْنَـٰهُ [We] created him khalaqnāhu
[We] created him
مِن from min
from
نُّطْفَةٍۢ a semen-drop nuṭ'fatin
a semen-drop
فَإِذَا Then behold fa-idhā
Then behold
هُوَ He huwa
He
خَصِيمٌۭ (is) an opponent khaṣīmun
(is) an opponent
مُّبِينٌۭ clear mubīnun
clear
٧٧ (77)
(77)
Does man not consider that We created him from a [mere] sperm-drop - then at once he is a clear adversary?
٣٦:٧٨
وَضَرَبَ And he sets forth waḍaraba
And he sets forth
لَنَا for Us lanā
for Us
مَثَلًۭا an example mathalan
an example
وَنَسِىَ and forgets wanasiya
and forgets
خَلْقَهُۥ ۖ his (own) creation khalqahu
his (own) creation
قَالَ He says qāla
He says
مَن Who man
Who
يُحْىِ will give life yuḥ'yī
will give life
ٱلْعِظَـٰمَ (to) the bones l-ʿiẓāma
(to) the bones
وَهِىَ while they wahiya
while they
رَمِيمٌۭ (are) decomposed ramīmun
(are) decomposed
٧٨ (78)
(78)
And he presents for Us an example and forgets his [own] creation. He says, "Who will give life to bones while they are disintegrated?"
٣٦:٧٩
قُلْ Say qul
Say
يُحْيِيهَا He will give them life yuḥ'yīhā
He will give them life
ٱلَّذِىٓ Who alladhī
Who
أَنشَأَهَآ produced them ansha-ahā
produced them
أَوَّلَ (the) first awwala
(the) first
مَرَّةٍۢ ۖ time marratin
time
وَهُوَ and He wahuwa
and He
بِكُلِّ (is) of every bikulli
(is) of every
خَلْقٍ creation khalqin
creation
عَلِيمٌ All-Knower ʿalīmun
All-Knower
٧٩ (79)
(79)
Say, "He will give them life who produced them the first time; and He is, of all creation, Knowing."
٣٦:٨٠
ٱلَّذِى The One Who alladhī
The One Who
جَعَلَ made jaʿala
made
لَكُم for you lakum
for you
مِّنَ from mina
from
ٱلشَّجَرِ the tree l-shajari
the tree
ٱلْأَخْضَرِ [the] green l-akhḍari
[the] green
نَارًۭا fire nāran
fire
فَإِذَآ and behold fa-idhā
and behold
أَنتُم You antum
You
مِّنْهُ from it min'hu
from it
تُوقِدُونَ ignite tūqidūna
ignite
٨٠ (80)
(80)
[It is] He who made for you from the green tree, fire, and then from it you ignite.
٣٦:٨١
أَوَلَيْسَ Is it not awalaysa
Is it not
ٱلَّذِى (He) Who alladhī
(He) Who
خَلَقَ created khalaqa
created
ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ the heavens l-samāwāti
the heavens
وَٱلْأَرْضَ and the earth wal-arḍa
and the earth
بِقَـٰدِرٍ Able biqādirin
Able
عَلَىٰٓ to ʿalā
to
أَن [that] an

يَخْلُقَ create yakhluqa

مِثْلَهُم ۚ (the) like of them mith'lahum
(the) like of them
بَلَىٰ Yes, indeed balā
Yes, indeed
وَهُوَ and He wahuwa
and He
ٱلْخَلَّـٰقُ (is) the Supreme Creator l-khalāqu
(is) the Supreme Creator
ٱلْعَلِيمُ the All-Knower l-ʿalīmu
the All-Knower
٨١ (81)
(81)
Is not He who created the heavens and the earth Able to create the likes of them? Yes, [it is so]; and He is the Knowing Creator.
٣٦:٨٢
إِنَّمَآ Only innamā
Only
أَمْرُهُۥٓ His Command amruhu
His Command
إِذَآ when idhā
when
أَرَادَ He intends arāda
He intends
شَيْـًٔا a thing shayan
a thing
أَن that an
that
يَقُولَ He says yaqūla
He says
لَهُۥ to it lahu
to it
كُن Be kun
Be
فَيَكُونُ and it is fayakūnu
and it is
٨٢ (82)
(82)
His command is only when He intends a thing that He says to it, "Be," and it is.
٣٦:٨٣
فَسُبْحَـٰنَ So glory be fasub'ḥāna
So glory be
ٱلَّذِى (to) the One who alladhī
(to) the One who
بِيَدِهِۦ in Whose hand biyadihi
in Whose hand
مَلَكُوتُ is (the) dominion malakūtu
is (the) dominion
كُلِّ (of) all kulli
(of) all
شَىْءٍۢ things shayin
things
وَإِلَيْهِ and to Him wa-ilayhi
and to Him
تُرْجَعُونَ you will be returned tur'jaʿūna
you will be returned
٨٣ (83)
(83)
So exalted is He in whose hand is the realm of all things, and to Him you will be returned.
