عبس

سورة عبس (عبس) هي السورة رقم ٨٠ في القرآن الكريم — وهي سورة مكية تتألف من ٤٢ آية. السور المكية نزلت قبل هجرة النبي محمد ﷺ إلى المدينة، وتركّز غالبًا على الإيمان وتوحيد الله والآخرة.

بسملة
بِسْمِIn (the) namebis'miٱللَّهِ(of) Allahl-lahiٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِthe Most Graciousl-raḥmāniٱلرَّحِيمِthe Most Mercifull-raḥīmi
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
٨٠:١
عَبَسَHe frownedʿabasaوَتَوَلَّىٰٓand turned awaywatawallā١
He [i.e., the Prophet (ﷺ) ] frowned and turned away
٨٠:٢
أَنBecauseanجَآءَهُcame to himjāahuٱلْأَعْمَىٰthe blind manl-aʿmā٢
Because there came to him the blind man, [interrupting].
٨٠:٣
وَمَاBut whatwamāيُدْرِيكَwould make you knowyud'rīkaلَعَلَّهُۥthat he mightlaʿallahuيَزَّكَّىٰٓpurify himselfyazzakkā٣
But what would make you perceive, [O Muḥammad], that perhaps he might be purified
٨٠:٤
أَوْOrawيَذَّكَّرُbe remindedyadhakkaruفَتَنفَعَهُso would benefit himfatanfaʿahuٱلذِّكْرَىٰٓthe reminderl-dhik'rā٤
Or be reminded and the remembrance would benefit him?
٨٠:٥
أَمَّاAs forammāمَنِ(him) whomaniٱسْتَغْنَىٰconsiders himself free from needis'taghnā٥
As for he who thinks himself without need,
٨٠:٦
فَأَنتَSo youfa-antaلَهُۥto himlahuتَصَدَّىٰgive attentiontaṣaddā٦
To him you give attention.
٨٠:٧
وَمَاAnd notwamāعَلَيْكَupon youʿalaykaأَلَّاthat notallāيَزَّكَّىٰhe purifies himselfyazzakkā٧
And not upon you [is any blame] if he will not be purified.
٨٠:٨
وَأَمَّاBut as forwa-ammāمَن(he) whomanجَآءَكَcame to youjāakaيَسْعَىٰstrivingyasʿā٨
But as for he who came to you striving [for knowledge]
٨٠:٩
وَهُوَWhile hewahuwaيَخْشَىٰfearsyakhshā٩
While he fears [Allāh],
٨٠:١٠
فَأَنتَBut youfa-antaعَنْهُfrom himʿanhuتَلَهَّىٰ(are) distractedtalahhā١٠
From him you are distracted.
٨٠:١١
كَلَّآNaykallāإِنَّهَاIndeed, itinnahāتَذْكِرَةٌۭ(is) a remindertadhkiratun١١
No! Indeed, they [i.e., these verses] are a reminder;
٨٠:١٢
فَمَنSo whosoeverfamanشَآءَwillsshāaذَكَرَهُۥmay remember itdhakarahu١٢
So whoever wills may remember it.
٨٠:١٣
فِىInصُحُفٍۢsheetsṣuḥufinمُّكَرَّمَةٍۢhonoredmukarramatin١٣
[It is recorded] in honored sheets,
٨٠:١٤
مَّرْفُوعَةٍۢExaltedmarfūʿatinمُّطَهَّرَةٍۭpurifiedmuṭahharatin١٤
Exalted and purified,
٨٠:١٥
بِأَيْدِىIn (the) handsbi-aydīسَفَرَةٍۢ(of) scribessafaratin١٥
[Carried] by the hands of messenger-angels,
٨٠:١٦
كِرَامٍۭNoblekirāminبَرَرَةٍۢdutifulbararatin١٦
Noble and dutiful.
٨٠:١٧
قُتِلَIs destroyedqutilaٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ[the] manl-insānuمَآhowأَكْفَرَهُۥungrateful is heakfarahu١٧
Destroyed [i.e., cursed] is man; how disbelieving is he.
٨٠:١٨
مِنْFromminأَىِّwhatayyiشَىْءٍthingshayinخَلَقَهُۥHe created himkhalaqahu١٨
From what thing [i.e., substance] did He create him?
٨٠:١٩
مِنFromminنُّطْفَةٍa semen-dropnuṭ'fatinخَلَقَهُۥHe created himkhalaqahuفَقَدَّرَهُۥthen He proportioned himfaqaddarahu١٩
From a sperm-drop He created him and destined for him;
٨٠:٢٠
ثُمَّThenthummaٱلسَّبِيلَthe wayl-sabīlaيَسَّرَهُۥHe made easy for himyassarahu٢٠
Then He eased the way for him;
٨٠:٢١
ثُمَّThenthummaأَمَاتَهُۥHe causes him to dieamātahuفَأَقْبَرَهُۥand provides a grave for himfa-aqbarahu٢١
Then He causes his death and provides a grave for him.
٨٠:٢٢
ثُمَّThenthummaإِذَاwhenidhāشَآءَHe willsshāaأَنشَرَهُۥHe will resurrect himansharahu٢٢
Then when He wills, He will resurrect him.
٨٠:٢٣
كَلَّاNaykallāلَمَّاNotlammāيَقْضِhe has accomplishedyaqḍiمَآwhatأَمَرَهُۥHe commanded himamarahu٢٣
No! He [i.e., man] has not yet accomplished what He commanded him.
٨٠:٢٤
فَلْيَنظُرِThen let lookfalyanẓuriٱلْإِنسَـٰنُthe manl-insānuإِلَىٰatilāطَعَامِهِۦٓhis foodṭaʿāmihi٢٤
Then let mankind look at his food -
٨٠:٢٥
اَنَّاThat [We]annāصَبَبْنَا[We] pouredṣababnāٱلْمَآءَthe waterl-māaصَبًّۭا(in) abundanceṣabban٢٥
How We poured down water in torrents,
٨٠:٢٦
ثُمَّThenthummaشَقَقْنَاWe cleavedshaqaqnāٱلْأَرْضَthe earthl-arḍaشَقًّۭاsplittingshaqqan٢٦
Then We broke open the earth, splitting [it with sprouts],
٨٠:٢٧
فَأَنۢبَتْنَاThen We caused to growfa-anbatnāفِيهَاthereinfīhāحَبًّۭاgrainḥabban٢٧
And caused to grow within it grain
٨٠:٢٨
وَعِنَبًۭاAnd grapeswaʿinabanوَقَضْبًۭاand green fodderwaqaḍban٢٨
And grapes and herbage
٨٠:٢٩
وَزَيْتُونًۭاAnd olivewazaytūnanوَنَخْلًۭاand date-palmswanakhlan٢٩
And olive and palm trees
٨٠:٣٠
وَحَدَآئِقَAnd gardenswaḥadāiqaغُلْبًۭا(of) thick foliageghul'ban٣٠
And gardens of dense shrubbery
٨٠:٣١
وَفَـٰكِهَةًۭAnd fruitswafākihatanوَأَبًّۭاand grasswa-abban٣١
And fruit and grass -
٨٠:٣٢
مَّتَـٰعًۭا(As) a provisionmatāʿanلَّكُمْfor youlakumوَلِأَنْعَـٰمِكُمْand for your cattlewali-anʿāmikum٣٢
[As] enjoyment [i.e., provision] for you and your grazing livestock.
٨٠:٣٣
فَإِذَاBut whenfa-idhāجَآءَتِcomesjāatiٱلصَّآخَّةُthe Deafening Blastl-ṣākhatu٣٣
But when there comes the Deafening Blast
٨٠:٣٤
يَوْمَ(The) Dayyawmaيَفِرُّwill fleeyafirruٱلْمَرْءُa manl-maruمِنْfromminأَخِيهِhis brotherakhīhi٣٤
On the Day a man will flee from his brother
٨٠:٣٥
وَأُمِّهِۦAnd his motherwa-ummihiوَأَبِيهِand his fatherwa-abīhi٣٥
And his mother and his father
٨٠:٣٦
وَصَـٰحِبَتِهِۦAnd his wifewaṣāḥibatihiوَبَنِيهِand his childrenwabanīhi٣٦
And his wife and his children,
٨٠:٣٧
لِكُلِّFor everylikulliٱمْرِئٍۢmanim'ri-inمِّنْهُمْamong themmin'humيَوْمَئِذٍۢthat Dayyawma-idhinشَأْنٌۭ(will be) a mattershanunيُغْنِيهِoccupying himyugh'nīhi٣٧
For every man, that Day, will be a matter adequate for him.
٨٠:٣٨
وُجُوهٌۭFaceswujūhunيَوْمَئِذٍۢthat Dayyawma-idhinمُّسْفِرَةٌۭ(will be) brightmus'firatun٣٨
[Some] faces, that Day, will be bright -
٨٠:٣٩
ضَاحِكَةٌۭLaughingḍāḥikatunمُّسْتَبْشِرَةٌۭrejoicing at good newsmus'tabshiratun٣٩
Laughing, rejoicing at good news.
٨٠:٤٠
وَوُجُوهٌۭAnd faceswawujūhunيَوْمَئِذٍthat Dayyawma-idhinعَلَيْهَاupon themʿalayhāغَبَرَةٌۭ(will be) dustghabaratun٤٠
And [other] faces, that Day, will have upon them dust.
٨٠:٤١
تَرْهَقُهَاWill cover themtarhaquhāقَتَرَةٌdarknessqataratun٤١
Blackness will cover them.
٨٠:٤٢
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَThoseulāikaهُمُ[they]humuٱلْكَفَرَةُ(are) the disbelieversl-kafaratuٱلْفَجَرَةُthe wicked onesl-fajaratu٤٢
Those are the disbelievers, the wicked ones.
