عبس

La sourate 'Abasa (عبس) est le 80e chapitre du Saint Coran — une sourate Mecquoise de 42 versets. Les sourates mecquoises ont été révélées avant l'émigration du Prophète Muhammad (paix sur lui) à Médine et mettent souvent l'accent sur la foi, l'unicité de Dieu et l'au-delà.

Bismillah
بِسْمِIn (the) namebis'miٱللَّهِ(of) Allahl-lahiٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِthe Most Graciousl-raḥmāniٱلرَّحِيمِthe Most Mercifull-raḥīmi
Au nom d'Allah, le Tout Miséricordieux, le Très Miséricordieux
80:1
عَبَسَHe frownedʿabasaوَتَوَلَّىٰٓand turned awaywatawallā١
Il s’est renfrogné et il s’est détourné .
80:2
أَنBecauseanجَآءَهُcame to himjāahuٱلْأَعْمَىٰthe blind manl-aʿmā٢
Parce que l’aveugle est venu à lui.
80:3
وَمَاBut whatwamāيُدْرِيكَwould make you knowyud'rīkaلَعَلَّهُۥthat he mightlaʿallahuيَزَّكَّىٰٓpurify himselfyazzakkā٣
Qui te dit : peut-être [cherche]-t-il à se purifier.
80:4
أَوْOrawيَذَّكَّرُbe remindedyadhakkaruفَتَنفَعَهُso would benefit himfatanfaʿahuٱلذِّكْرَىٰٓthe reminderl-dhik'rā٤
Ou à se rappeler en sorte que le rappel lui profite.
80:5
أَمَّاAs forammāمَنِ(him) whomaniٱسْتَغْنَىٰconsiders himself free from needis'taghnā٥
Quant à celui qui se complait dans sa suffisance (pour sa richesse.
80:6
فَأَنتَSo youfa-antaلَهُۥto himlahuتَصَدَّىٰgive attentiontaṣaddā٦
tu vas avec empressement à sa rencontre.
80:7
وَمَاAnd notwamāعَلَيْكَupon youʿalaykaأَلَّاthat notallāيَزَّكَّىٰhe purifies himselfyazzakkā٧
Or, que t’importe qu’il ne se purifie pas .
80:8
وَأَمَّاBut as forwa-ammāمَن(he) whomanجَآءَكَcame to youjāakaيَسْعَىٰstrivingyasʿā٨
Et quant à celui qui vient à toi avec empressement.
80:9
وَهُوَWhile hewahuwaيَخْشَىٰfearsyakhshā٩
tout en ayant la crainte.
80:10
فَأَنتَBut youfa-antaعَنْهُfrom himʿanhuتَلَهَّىٰ(are) distractedtalahhā١٠
tu ne t’en soucies pas.
80:11
كَلَّآNaykallāإِنَّهَاIndeed, itinnahāتَذْكِرَةٌۭ(is) a remindertadhkiratun١١
N’agis plus ainsi ! Vraiment ceci est un rappel,
80:12
فَمَنSo whosoeverfamanشَآءَwillsshāaذَكَرَهُۥmay remember itdhakarahu١٢
quiconque veut, donc, s’en rappelle,
80:13
فِىInfīصُحُفٍۢsheetsṣuḥufinمُّكَرَّمَةٍۢhonoredmukarramatin١٣
consigné dans des feuilles honorées,
80:14
مَّرْفُوعَةٍۢExaltedmarfūʿatinمُّطَهَّرَةٍۭpurifiedmuṭahharatin١٤
élevées, purifiées,
80:15
بِأَيْدِىIn (the) handsbi-aydīسَفَرَةٍۢ(of) scribessafaratin١٥
entre les mains d’ambassadeur ,
80:16
كِرَامٍۭNoblekirāminبَرَرَةٍۢdutifulbararatin١٦
nobles, obéissants.
80:17
قُتِلَIs destroyedqutilaٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ[the] manl-insānuمَآhowmāأَكْفَرَهُۥungrateful is heakfarahu١٧
Que périsse l’homme ! Qu’il est ingrat.
80:18
مِنْFromminأَىِّwhatayyiشَىْءٍthingshayinخَلَقَهُۥHe created himkhalaqahu١٨
De quoi [Dieu] l’a-t-Il créé.
80:19
مِنFromminنُّطْفَةٍa semen-dropnuṭ'fatinخَلَقَهُۥHe created himkhalaqahuفَقَدَّرَهُۥthen He proportioned himfaqaddarahu١٩
D’une goutte de sperme, Il le crée et détermine (son destin)
80:20
ثُمَّThenthummaٱلسَّبِيلَthe wayl-sabīlaيَسَّرَهُۥHe made easy for himyassarahu٢٠
puis Il lui facilite le chemin,
80:21
ثُمَّThenthummaأَمَاتَهُۥHe causes him to dieamātahuفَأَقْبَرَهُۥand provides a grave for himfa-aqbarahu٢١
puis Il lui donne la mort et le met au tombeau,
80:22
ثُمَّThenthummaإِذَاwhenidhāشَآءَHe willsshāaأَنشَرَهُۥHe will resurrect himansharahu٢٢
puis Il le ressuscitera quand Il voudra.
80:23
كَلَّاNaykallāلَمَّاNotlammāيَقْضِhe has accomplishedyaqḍiمَآwhatmāأَمَرَهُۥHe commanded himamarahu٢٣
Eh bien non! [L’homme] n’accomplit pas ce qu’Il lui commande.
80:24
فَلْيَنظُرِThen let lookfalyanẓuriٱلْإِنسَـٰنُthe manl-insānuإِلَىٰatilāطَعَامِهِۦٓhis foodṭaʿāmihi٢٤
Que l’homme considère donc sa nourriture.
80:25
اَنَّاThat [We]annāصَبَبْنَا[We] pouredṣababnāٱلْمَآءَthe waterl-māaصَبًّۭا(in) abundanceṣabban٢٥
C’est Nous qui versons l’eau abondante.
80:26
ثُمَّThenthummaشَقَقْنَاWe cleavedshaqaqnāٱلْأَرْضَthe earthl-arḍaشَقًّۭاsplittingshaqqan٢٦
Puis Nous fendons la terre par fissure.
80:27
فَأَنۢبَتْنَاThen We caused to growfa-anbatnāفِيهَاthereinfīhāحَبًّۭاgrainḥabban٢٧
Et y faisons pousser grains,
80:28
وَعِنَبًۭاAnd grapeswaʿinabanوَقَضْبًۭاand green fodderwaqaḍban٢٨
vignobles et légumes,
80:29
وَزَيْتُونًۭاAnd olivewazaytūnanوَنَخْلًۭاand date-palmswanakhlan٢٩
oliviers et palmiers,
80:30
وَحَدَآئِقَAnd gardenswaḥadāiqaغُلْبًۭا(of) thick foliageghul'ban٣٠
jardins touffus,
80:31
وَفَـٰكِهَةًۭAnd fruitswafākihatanوَأَبًّۭاand grasswa-abban٣١
fruits et herbages,
80:32
مَّتَـٰعًۭا(As) a provisionmatāʿanلَّكُمْfor youlakumوَلِأَنْعَـٰمِكُمْand for your cattlewali-anʿāmikum٣٢
pour votre jouissance vous et vos bestiaux.
80:33
فَإِذَاBut whenfa-idhāجَآءَتِcomesjāatiٱلصَّآخَّةُthe Deafening Blastl-ṣākhatu٣٣
Puis quand viendra le Fracas.
80:34
يَوْمَ(The) Dayyawmaيَفِرُّwill fleeyafirruٱلْمَرْءُa manl-maruمِنْfromminأَخِيهِhis brotherakhīhi٣٤
Le jour où l’homme s’enfuira de son frère.
80:35
وَأُمِّهِۦAnd his motherwa-ummihiوَأَبِيهِand his fatherwa-abīhi٣٥
De sa mère, de son père.
80:36
وَصَـٰحِبَتِهِۦAnd his wifewaṣāḥibatihiوَبَنِيهِand his childrenwabanīhi٣٦
De sa compagne et de ses enfants.
80:37
لِكُلِّFor everylikulliٱمْرِئٍۢmanim'ri-inمِّنْهُمْamong themmin'humيَوْمَئِذٍۢthat Dayyawma-idhinشَأْنٌۭ(will be) a mattershanunيُغْنِيهِoccupying himyugh'nīhi٣٧
Car chacun d’eux, ce jour-là, aura son propre cas pour l’occuper.
80:38
وُجُوهٌۭFaceswujūhunيَوْمَئِذٍۢthat Dayyawma-idhinمُّسْفِرَةٌۭ(will be) brightmus'firatun٣٨
Ce jour-là, il y aura des visages rayonnants,
80:39
ضَاحِكَةٌۭLaughingḍāḥikatunمُّسْتَبْشِرَةٌۭrejoicing at good newsmus'tabshiratun٣٩
riants et réjouis.
80:40
وَوُجُوهٌۭAnd faceswawujūhunيَوْمَئِذٍthat Dayyawma-idhinعَلَيْهَاupon themʿalayhāغَبَرَةٌۭ(will be) dustghabaratun٤٠
De même qu’il y aura, ce jour-là, des visages couverts de poussière,
80:41
تَرْهَقُهَاWill cover themtarhaquhāقَتَرَةٌdarknessqataratun٤١
recouverts de ténèbres.
80:42
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَThoseulāikaهُمُ[they]humuٱلْكَفَرَةُ(are) the disbelieversl-kafaratuٱلْفَجَرَةُthe wicked onesl-fajaratu٤٢
Voilà les infidèles, les libertins.
