الأعلى

سورة الأعلى (الأعلى) هي السورة رقم ٨٧ في القرآن الكريم — وهي سورة مكية تتألف من ١٩ آية. السور المكية نزلت قبل هجرة النبي محمد ﷺ إلى المدينة، وتركّز غالبًا على الإيمان وتوحيد الله والآخرة.

بسملة
بِسْمِIn (the) namebis'miٱللَّهِ(of) Allahl-lahiٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِthe Most Graciousl-raḥmāniٱلرَّحِيمِthe Most Mercifull-raḥīmi
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
٨٧:١
سَبِّحِGlorifysabbiḥiٱسْمَ(the) nameis'maرَبِّكَ(of) your Lordrabbikaٱلْأَعْلَىthe Most Highl-aʿlā١
Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High,
٨٧:٢
ٱلَّذِىThe One Whoalladhīخَلَقَcreatedkhalaqaفَسَوَّىٰthen proportionedfasawwā٢
Who created and proportioned
٨٧:٣
وَٱلَّذِىAnd the One Whowa-alladhīقَدَّرَmeasuredqaddaraفَهَدَىٰthen guidedfahadā٣
And who destined and [then] guided
٨٧:٤
وَٱلَّذِىٓAnd the One Whowa-alladhīأَخْرَجَbrings forthakhrajaٱلْمَرْعَىٰthe pasturel-marʿā٤
And who brings out the pasture
٨٧:٥
فَجَعَلَهُۥAnd then makes itfajaʿalahuغُثَآءًstubbleghuthāanأَحْوَىٰdarkaḥwā٥
And [then] makes it black stubble.
٨٧:٦
سَنُقْرِئُكَWe will make you recitesanuq'ri-ukaفَلَاso notfalāتَنسَىٰٓyou will forgettansā٦
We will make you recite, [O Muḥammad], and you will not forget,
٨٧:٧
إِلَّاExceptillāمَاwhatشَآءَwillsshāaٱللَّهُ ۚAllahl-lahuإِنَّهُۥIndeed, Heinnahuيَعْلَمُknowsyaʿlamuٱلْجَهْرَthe manifestl-jahraوَمَاand whatwamāيَخْفَىٰis hiddenyakhfā٧
Except what Allāh should will. Indeed, He knows what is declared and what is hidden.
٨٧:٨
وَنُيَسِّرُكَAnd We will ease youwanuyassirukaلِلْيُسْرَىٰto the easelil'yus'rā٨
And We will ease you toward ease.
٨٧:٩
فَذَكِّرْSo remindfadhakkirإِنifinنَّفَعَتِbenefitsnafaʿatiٱلذِّكْرَىٰthe reminderl-dhik'rā٩
So remind, if the reminder should benefit;
٨٧:١٠
سَيَذَّكَّرُHe will pay heed sayadhakkaruمَن(one) whomanيَخْشَىٰfears (Allah)yakhshā١٠
He who fears [Allāh] will be reminded.
٨٧:١١
وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَاAnd will avoid itwayatajannabuhāٱلْأَشْقَىthe wretched onel-ashqā١١
But the wretched one will avoid it
٨٧:١٢
ٱلَّذِىThe one whoalladhīيَصْلَىwill burnyaṣlāٱلنَّارَ(in) the Firel-nāraٱلْكُبْرَىٰ[the] greatl-kub'rā١٢
[He] who will [enter and] burn in the greatest Fire,
٨٧:١٣
ثُمَّThenthummaلَاnotيَمُوتُhe will dieyamūtuفِيهَاthereinfīhāوَلَاand notwalāيَحْيَىٰwill liveyaḥyā١٣
Neither dying therein nor living.
٨٧:١٤
قَدْCertainlyqadأَفْلَحَhas succeededaflaḥaمَن(one) whomanتَزَكَّىٰpurifies (himself)tazakkā١٤
He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself
٨٧:١٥
وَذَكَرَAnd rememberswadhakaraٱسْمَ(the) nameis'maرَبِّهِۦ(of) his Lordrabbihiفَصَلَّىٰand praysfaṣallā١٥
And mentions the name of his Lord and prays.
٨٧:١٦
بَلْNaybalتُؤْثِرُونَYou prefertu'thirūnaٱلْحَيَوٰةَthe lifel-ḥayataٱلدُّنْيَا(of) the worldl-dun'yā١٦
But you prefer the worldly life,
٨٧:١٧
وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةُWhile the Hereafterwal-ākhiratuخَيْرٌۭ(is) betterkhayrunوَأَبْقَىٰٓand everlastingwa-abqā١٧
While the Hereafter is better and more enduring.
٨٧:١٨
إِنَّIndeedinnaهَـٰذَاthishādhāلَفِىsurely (is) inlafīٱلصُّحُفِthe Scripturesl-ṣuḥufiٱلْأُولَىٰ[the] formerl-ūlā١٨
Indeed, this is in the former scriptures,
٨٧:١٩
صُحُفِ(The) Scripturesṣuḥufiإِبْرَٰهِيمَ(of) Ibrahimib'rāhīmaوَمُوسَىٰand Musawamūsā١٩
The scriptures of Abraham and Moses.
