سورة المعارج (المعارج) هي السورة رقم ٧٠ في القرآن الكريم — وهي سورة مكية تتألف من ٤٤ آية. السور المكية نزلت قبل هجرة النبي محمد ﷺ إلى المدينة، وتركّز غالبًا على الإيمان وتوحيد الله والآخرة.

بسملة
بِسْمِIn (the) namebis'miٱللَّهِ(of) Allahl-lahiٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِthe Most Graciousl-raḥmāniٱلرَّحِيمِthe Most Mercifull-raḥīmi
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
٧٠:١
سَأَلَAskedsa-alaسَآئِلٌۢa questionersāilunبِعَذَابٍۢabout a punishmentbiʿadhābinوَاقِعٍۢbound to happenwāqiʿin١
A supplicant asked for a punishment bound to happen
٧٠:٢
لِّلْكَـٰفِرِينَTo the disbelieverslil'kāfirīnaلَيْسَnotlaysaلَهُۥof itlahuدَافِعٌۭany preventerdāfiʿun٢
To the disbelievers; of it there is no preventer.
٧٠:٣
مِّنَFromminaٱللَّهِAllahl-lahiذِىOwnerdhīٱلْمَعَارِجِ(of) the ways of ascentl-maʿāriji٣
[It is] from Allāh, owner of the ways of ascent.
٧٠:٤
تَعْرُجُAscendtaʿrujuٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُthe Angelsl-malāikatuوَٱلرُّوحُand the Spiritwal-rūḥuإِلَيْهِto Himilayhiفِىinfīيَوْمٍۢa Dayyawminكَانَ[is]kānaمِقْدَارُهُۥits measuremiq'dāruhuخَمْسِينَ(is) fiftykhamsīnaأَلْفَthousandalfaسَنَةٍۢyear(s)sanatin٤
The angels and the Spirit [i.e., Gabriel] will ascend to Him during a Day the extent of which is fifty thousand years.
٧٠:٥
فَٱصْبِرْSo be patientfa-iṣ'birصَبْرًۭاa patienceṣabranجَمِيلًاgoodjamīlan٥
So be patient with gracious patience.
٧٠:٦
إِنَّهُمْIndeed, theyinnahumيَرَوْنَهُۥsee ityarawnahuبَعِيدًۭا(as) far offbaʿīdan٦
Indeed, they see it [as] distant,
٧٠:٧
وَنَرَىٰهُBut We see itwanarāhuقَرِيبًۭاnearqarīban٧
But We see it [as] near.
٧٠:٨
يَوْمَ(The) Day yawmaتَكُونُwill betakūnuٱلسَّمَآءُthe skyl-samāuكَٱلْمُهْلِlike molten copperkal-muh'li٨
On the Day the sky will be like murky oil,
٧٠:٩
وَتَكُونُAnd will bewatakūnuٱلْجِبَالُthe mountainsl-jibāluكَٱلْعِهْنِlike woolkal-ʿih'ni٩
And the mountains will be like wool,
٧٠:١٠
وَلَاAnd notwalāيَسْـَٔلُwill askyasaluحَمِيمٌa friendḥamīmunحَمِيمًۭا(about) a friendḥamīman١٠
And no friend will ask [anything of] a friend,
٧٠:١١
يُبَصَّرُونَهُمْ ۚThey will be made to see each otheryubaṣṣarūnahumيَوَدُّWould wishyawadduٱلْمُجْرِمُthe criminall-muj'rimuلَوْiflawيَفْتَدِىhe (could be) ransomedyaftadīمِنْfromminعَذَابِ(the) punishmentʿadhābiيَوْمِئِذٍۭ(of) that Dayyawmi-idhinبِبَنِيهِby his childrenbibanīhi١١
They will be shown each other. The criminal will wish that he could be ransomed from the punishment of that Day by his children.
٧٠:١٢
وَصَـٰحِبَتِهِۦAnd his spousewaṣāḥibatihiوَأَخِيهِand his brotherwa-akhīhi١٢
And his wife and his brother
٧٠:١٣
وَفَصِيلَتِهِAnd his nearest kindredwafaṣīlatihiٱلَّتِىwhoallatīتُـْٔوِيهِsheltered himtu'wīhi١٣
And his nearest kindred who shelter him.
٧٠:١٤
وَمَنAnd whoeverwamanفِى(is) onfīٱلْأَرْضِthe earthl-arḍiجَمِيعًۭاalljamīʿanثُمَّthenthummaيُنجِيهِit (could) save himyunjīhi١٤
And whoever is on earth entirely [so] then it could save him.
٧٠:١٥
كَلَّآ ۖBy no meanskallāإِنَّهَاIndeed, it (is)innahāلَظَىٰsurely a Flame of Helllaẓā١٥
No! Indeed, it is the Flame [of Hell],
٧٠:١٦
نَزَّاعَةًۭA removernazzāʿatanلِّلشَّوَىٰof the skin of the headlilshawā١٦
A remover of exteriors.
٧٠:١٧
تَدْعُوا۟Invitingtadʿūمَنْ(him) whomanأَدْبَرَturned his backadbaraوَتَوَلَّىٰand went awaywatawallā١٧
It invites he who turned his back [on truth] and went away [from obedience]
٧٠:١٨
وَجَمَعَAnd collectedwajamaʿaفَأَوْعَىٰٓand hoardedfa-awʿā١٨
And collected [wealth] and hoarded.
٧٠:١٩
۞ إِنَّIndeedinnaٱلْإِنسَـٰنَthe manl-insānaخُلِقَwas createdkhuliqaهَلُوعًاanxious halūʿan١٩
Indeed, mankind was created anxious:
٧٠:٢٠
إِذَاWhenidhāمَسَّهُtouches himmassahuٱلشَّرُّthe evill-sharuجَزُوعًۭاdistressedjazūʿan٢٠
When evil touches him, impatient,
٧٠:٢١
وَإِذَاAnd whenwa-idhāمَسَّهُtouches himmassahuٱلْخَيْرُthe goodl-khayruمَنُوعًاwithholdingmanūʿan٢١
And when good touches him, withholding [of it],
٧٠:٢٢
إِلَّاExceptillāٱلْمُصَلِّينَthose who pray l-muṣalīna٢٢
Except the observers of prayer -
٧٠:٢٣
ٱلَّذِينَThose whoalladhīnaهُمْ[they]humعَلَىٰatʿalāصَلَاتِهِمْtheir prayerṣalātihimدَآئِمُونَ(are) constantdāimūna٢٣
Those who are constant in their prayer
٧٠:٢٤
وَٱلَّذِينَAnd those whowa-alladhīnaفِىٓinfīأَمْوَٰلِهِمْtheir wealthamwālihimحَقٌّۭ(is) a rightḥaqqunمَّعْلُومٌۭknownmaʿlūmun٢٤
And those within whose wealth is a known right
٧٠:٢٥
لِّلسَّآئِلِFor the one who askslilssāiliوَٱلْمَحْرُومِand the deprivedwal-maḥrūmi٢٥
For the petitioner and the deprived -
٧٠:٢٦
وَٱلَّذِينَAnd those whowa-alladhīnaيُصَدِّقُونَaccept (the) truthyuṣaddiqūnaبِيَوْمِ(of the) Daybiyawmiٱلدِّينِ(of) the Judgmentl-dīni٢٦
And those who believe in the Day of Recompense
٧٠:٢٧
وَٱلَّذِينَAnd those whowa-alladhīnaهُم[they]humمِّنْofminعَذَابِ(the) punishmentʿadhābiرَبِّهِم(of) their Lordrabbihimمُّشْفِقُونَ(are) fearful mush'fiqūna٢٧
And those who are fearful of the punishment of their Lord -
٧٠:٢٨
إِنَّIndeedinnaعَذَابَ(the) punishmentʿadhābaرَبِّهِمْ(of) your Lordrabbihimغَيْرُ(is) notghayruمَأْمُونٍۢto be felt secure (of) mamūnin٢٨
Indeed, the punishment of their Lord is not that from which one is safe -
٧٠:٢٩
وَٱلَّذِينَAnd those whowa-alladhīnaهُمْ[they]humلِفُرُوجِهِمْtheir modestylifurūjihimحَـٰفِظُونَ(are) guardiansḥāfiẓūna٢٩
And those who guard their private parts
٧٠:٣٠
إِلَّاExceptillāعَلَىٰٓfromʿalāأَزْوَٰجِهِمْtheir spousesazwājihimأَوْorawمَاwhatmāمَلَكَتْthey possessmalakatأَيْمَـٰنُهُمْrightfullyaymānuhumفَإِنَّهُمْthen indeed, theyfa-innahumغَيْرُ(are) notghayruمَلُومِينَblameworthymalūmīna٣٠
Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they are not to be blamed -
٧٠:٣١
فَمَنِBut whoeverfamaniٱبْتَغَىٰseeksib'taghāوَرَآءَbeyondwarāaذَٰلِكَthatdhālikaفَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَthen thosefa-ulāikaهُمُ[they]humuٱلْعَادُونَ(are) the transgressors l-ʿādūna٣١
But whoever seeks beyond that, then they are the transgressors -
٧٠:٣٢
وَٱلَّذِينَAnd those whowa-alladhīnaهُمْ[they]humلِأَمَـٰنَـٰتِهِمْof their trustsli-amānātihimوَعَهْدِهِمْand their promisewaʿahdihimرَٰعُونَ(are) observersrāʿūna٣٢
And those who are to their trusts and promises attentive.
٧٠:٣٣
وَٱلَّذِينَAnd those whowa-alladhīnaهُم[they]humبِشَهَـٰدَٰتِهِمْin their testimoniesbishahādātihimقَآئِمُونَstand firmqāimūna٣٣
And those who are in their testimonies upright
٧٠:٣٤
وَٱلَّذِينَAnd those whowa-alladhīnaهُمْ[they]humعَلَىٰonʿalāصَلَاتِهِمْtheir prayerṣalātihimيُحَافِظُونَkeep a guard yuḥāfiẓūna٣٤
And those who [carefully] maintain their prayer:
٧٠:٣٥
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَThoseulāikaفِى(will be) infīجَنَّـٰتٍۢGardensjannātinمُّكْرَمُونَhonoredmuk'ramūna٣٥
They will be in gardens, honored.
٧٠:٣٦
فَمَالِSo what is withfamāliٱلَّذِينَthose whoalladhīnaكَفَرُوا۟disbelievekafarūقِبَلَكَbefore youqibalakaمُهْطِعِينَ(they) hastenmuh'ṭiʿīna٣٦
So what is [the matter] with those who disbelieve, hastening [from] before you, [O Muḥammad],
٧٠:٣٧
عَنِOnʿaniٱلْيَمِينِthe rightl-yamīniوَعَنِand onwaʿaniٱلشِّمَالِthe leftl-shimāliعِزِينَ(in) separate groupsʿizīna٣٧
[To sit] on [your] right and [your] left in separate groups?
٧٠:٣٨
أَيَطْمَعُDoes longayaṭmaʿuكُلُّeverykulluٱمْرِئٍۢpersonim'ri-inمِّنْهُمْamong themmin'humأَنthatanيُدْخَلَhe entersyud'khalaجَنَّةَa Gardenjannataنَعِيمٍۢ(of) Delightnaʿīmin٣٨
Does every person among them aspire to enter a garden of pleasure?
٧٠:٣٩
كَلَّآ ۖBy no meanskallāإِنَّاIndeed, Weinnāخَلَقْنَـٰهُم[We] have created themkhalaqnāhumمِّمَّاfrom whatmimmāيَعْلَمُونَthey knowyaʿlamūna٣٩
No! Indeed, We have created them from that which they know.
٧٠:٤٠
فَلَآBut nayfalāأُقْسِمُI swearuq'simuبِرَبِّby (the) Lordbirabbiٱلْمَشَـٰرِقِ(of) the risingsl-mashāriqiوَٱلْمَغَـٰرِبِand the settingswal-maghāribiإِنَّاthat Weinnāلَقَـٰدِرُونَ(are) surely Ablelaqādirūna٤٠
So I swear by the Lord of [all] risings and settings that indeed We are able
٧٠:٤١
عَلَىٰٓ[On]ʿalāأَنtoanنُّبَدِّلَ[We] replacenubaddilaخَيْرًۭا(with) betterkhayranمِّنْهُمْthan themmin'humوَمَاand notwamāنَحْنُWenaḥnuبِمَسْبُوقِينَ(are) to be outrunbimasbūqīna٤١
To replace them with better than them; and We are not to be outdone.
٧٠:٤٢
فَذَرْهُمْSo leave themfadharhumيَخُوضُوا۟(to) converse vainlyyakhūḍūوَيَلْعَبُوا۟and amuse themselveswayalʿabūحَتَّىٰuntilḥattāيُلَـٰقُوا۟they meetyulāqūيَوْمَهُمُtheir Dayyawmahumuٱلَّذِىwhichalladhīيُوعَدُونَthey are promisedyūʿadūna٤٢
So leave them to converse vainly and amuse themselves until they meet their Day which they are promised -
٧٠:٤٣
يَوْمَ(The) Dayyawmaيَخْرُجُونَthey will come outyakhrujūnaمِنَfromminaٱلْأَجْدَاثِthe gravesl-ajdāthiسِرَاعًۭاrapidlysirāʿanكَأَنَّهُمْas if they (were)ka-annahumإِلَىٰtoilāنُصُبٍۢa goalnuṣubinيُوفِضُونَhasteningyūfiḍūna٤٣
The Day they will emerge from the graves rapidly as if they were, toward an erected idol, hastening.
٧٠:٤٤
خَـٰشِعَةًHumbledkhāshiʿatanأَبْصَـٰرُهُمْtheir eyesightsabṣāruhumتَرْهَقُهُمْwill cover themtarhaquhumذِلَّةٌۭ ۚhumiliationdhillatunذَٰلِكَThatdhālikaٱلْيَوْمُ(is) the Dayl-yawmuٱلَّذِىwhichalladhīكَانُوا۟they werekānūيُوعَدُونَpromisedyūʿadūna٤٤
Their eyes humbled, humiliation will cover them. That is the Day which they had been promised.
