لقمان

La sourate Luqman (لقمان) est le 31e chapitre du Saint Coran — une sourate Mecquoise de 34 versets. Les sourates mecquoises ont été révélées avant l'émigration du Prophète Muhammad (paix sur lui) à Médine et mettent souvent l'accent sur la foi, l'unicité de Dieu et l'au-delà.

بِسْمِIn (the) namebis'miٱللَّهِ(of) Allahl-lahiٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِthe Most Graciousl-raḥmāniٱلرَّحِيمِthe Most Mercifull-raḥīmi
Au nom d'Allah, le Tout Miséricordieux, le Très Miséricordieux
31:1
الٓمٓAlif Lam Meemalif-lam-meem١
Alif, Lâm, Mîm .
31:2
تِلْكَThesetil'kaءَايَـٰتُ(are) Versesāyātuٱلْكِتَـٰبِ(of) the Bookl-kitābiٱلْحَكِيمِthe Wisel-ḥakīmi٢
Voici les versets du Livre plein de sagesse,
31:3
هُدًۭىA guidancehudanوَرَحْمَةًۭand a mercywaraḥmatanلِّلْمُحْسِنِينَfor the good-doerslil'muḥ'sinīna٣
c’est un guide et une miséricorde pour les bienfaisants.
31:4
ٱلَّذِينَThose whoalladhīnaيُقِيمُونَestablishyuqīmūnaٱلصَّلَوٰةَthe prayerl-ṣalataوَيُؤْتُونَand givewayu'tūnaٱلزَّكَوٰةَzakahl-zakataوَهُمand theywahumبِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِin the Hereafterbil-ākhiratiهُمْ[they]humيُوقِنُونَbelieve firmlyyūqinūna٤
qui accomplissent la Ṣalāt, acquittent l'aumône (Az-Zakât) et qui croient avec certitude en l’au-delà.
31:5
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَThoseulāikaعَلَىٰ(are) onʿalāهُدًۭىguidancehudanمِّنfromminرَّبِّهِمْ ۖtheir Lordrabbihimوَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَand thosewa-ulāikaهُمُ[they]humuٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ(are) the successfull-muf'liḥūna٥
Ceux-là sont sur le chemin droit de leur Seigneur et ce sont eux les bienheureux.
31:6
وَمِنَAnd ofwaminaٱلنَّاسِthe mankindl-nāsiمَن(is he) whomanيَشْتَرِىpurchasesyashtarīلَهْوَidle taleslahwaٱلْحَدِيثِidle talesl-ḥadīthiلِيُضِلَّto misleadliyuḍillaعَنfromʿanسَبِيلِ(the) pathsabīliٱللَّهِ(of) Allahl-lahiبِغَيْرِwithoutbighayriعِلْمٍۢknowledgeʿil'minوَيَتَّخِذَهَاand takes itwayattakhidhahāهُزُوًا ۚ(in) ridiculehuzuwanأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَThoseulāikaلَهُمْfor themlahumعَذَابٌۭ(is) a punishmentʿadhābunمُّهِينٌۭhumiliatingmuhīnun٦
Et, parmi les hommes, il est [quelqu’un] qui, dénué de science, achète de plaisants discours pour égarer hors du chemin d’Allah et pour le prendre en raillerie. Ceux-là subiront un châtiment avilissant.
31:7
وَإِذَاAnd whenwa-idhāتُتْلَىٰare recitedtut'lāعَلَيْهِto himʿalayhiءَايَـٰتُنَاOur Versesāyātunāوَلَّىٰhe turns awaywallāمُسْتَكْبِرًۭاarrogantlymus'takbiranكَأَنas ifka-anلَّمْnotlamيَسْمَعْهَاhe (had) heard themyasmaʿhāكَأَنَّas ifka-annaفِىٓinfīأُذُنَيْهِhis earsudhunayhiوَقْرًۭا ۖ(is) deafnesswaqranفَبَشِّرْهُSo give him tidingsfabashir'huبِعَذَابٍof a punishmentbiʿadhābinأَلِيمٍpainfulalīmin٧
Et quand on lui récite Nos versets, il tourne le dos avec orgueil, comme s’il ne les avait point entendus, comme s’il y avait un poids dans ses oreilles. Fais-lui donc l’annonce d’un châtiment douloureux.
31:8
إِنَّIndeedinnaٱلَّذِينَthose whoalladhīnaءَامَنُوا۟believeāmanūوَعَمِلُوا۟and dowaʿamilūٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِrighteous deedsl-ṣāliḥātiلَهُمْfor themlahumجَنَّـٰتُ(are) Gardensjannātuٱلنَّعِيمِ(of) Delightl-naʿīmi٨
Ceux qui croient et accomplissent les bonnes œuvres auront les Jardins des délices,
31:9
خَـٰلِدِينَ(To) abide foreverkhālidīnaفِيهَا ۖin itfīhāوَعْدَ(The) Promise of Allahwaʿdaٱللَّهِ(The) Promise of Allahl-lahiحَقًّۭا ۚ(is) trueḥaqqanوَهُوَAnd Hewahuwaٱلْعَزِيزُ(is) the All-Mightyl-ʿazīzuٱلْحَكِيمُthe All-Wisel-ḥakīmu٩
pour y demeurer éternellement, - c’est en vérité une promesse d’Allah. - C’est Lui le Puissant, le Sage.
31:10
خَلَقَHe createdkhalaqaٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِthe heavensl-samāwātiبِغَيْرِwithoutbighayriعَمَدٍۢpillarsʿamadinتَرَوْنَهَا ۖthat you seetarawnahāوَأَلْقَىٰand has castwa-alqāفِىinfīٱلْأَرْضِthe earthl-arḍiرَوَٰسِىَfirm mountainsrawāsiyaأَنlestanتَمِيدَit (might) shaketamīdaبِكُمْwith youbikumوَبَثَّand He dispersedwabathaفِيهَاin itfīhāمِنfromminكُلِّeverykulliدَآبَّةٍۢ ۚcreaturedābbatinوَأَنزَلْنَاAnd We sent downwa-anzalnāمِنَfromminaٱلسَّمَآءِthe skyl-samāiمَآءًۭwatermāanفَأَنۢبَتْنَاthen We caused to growfa-anbatnāفِيهَاthereinfīhāمِنofminكُلِّeverykulliزَوْجٍۢkindzawjinكَرِيمٍnoblekarīmin١٠
Il a créé les cieux sans piliers que vous puissiez voir ; et Il a enfoncé des montagnes fermes dans la terre pour l’empêcher de basculer avec vous ; et Il y a propagé des animaux de toute espèce. Et du ciel, Nous avons fait descendre une eau, avec laquelle Nous avons fait pousser des plantes productives par couples de toute espèce.
31:11
هَـٰذَاThishādhāخَلْقُ(is the) creationkhalquٱللَّهِ(of) Allahl-lahiفَأَرُونِىSo show Mefa-arūnīمَاذَاwhatmādhāخَلَقَhave createdkhalaqaٱلَّذِينَthosealladhīnaمِنbesides Himminدُونِهِۦ ۚbesides HimdūnihiبَلِNaybaliٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَthe wrongdoersl-ẓālimūnaفِى(are) infīضَلَـٰلٍۢerrorḍalālinمُّبِينٍۢclearmubīnin١١
"Voilà la création d’Allah. Montrez-Moi donc ce qu’ont créé, ceux qui sont en dehors de Lui ?" Mais les injustes sont dans un égarement évident.
31:12
وَلَقَدْAnd verilywalaqadءَاتَيْنَاWe gaveātaynāلُقْمَـٰنَLuqmanluq'mānaٱلْحِكْمَةَthe wisdoml-ḥik'mataأَنِthataniٱشْكُرْBe gratefulush'kurلِلَّهِ ۚto AllahlillahiوَمَنAnd whoeverwamanيَشْكُرْ(is) gratefulyashkurفَإِنَّمَاthen onlyfa-innamāيَشْكُرُhe is gratefulyashkuruلِنَفْسِهِۦ ۖfor himselflinafsihiوَمَنAnd whoeverwamanكَفَرَ(is) ungratefulkafaraفَإِنَّthen indeedfa-innaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaغَنِىٌّ(is) Free of needghaniyyunحَمِيدٌۭPraiseworthyḥamīdun١٢
Nous avons effectivement donné à Luqmân la sagesse : "Sois reconnaissant envers Allah, car quiconque est reconnaissant, n’est reconnaissant que pour soi- même; quant à celui qui est ingrat... En vérité, Allah se dispense de tout, et Il est digne de louange."
31:13
وَإِذْAnd whenwa-idhقَالَsaidqālaلُقْمَـٰنُLuqmanluq'mānuلِٱبْنِهِۦto his sonli-ib'nihiوَهُوَwhile hewahuwaيَعِظُهُۥ(was) instructing himyaʿiẓuhuيَـٰبُنَىَّO my sonyābunayyaلَا(Do) notlāتُشْرِكْassociate partnerstush'rikبِٱللَّهِ ۖwith Allahbil-lahiإِنَّIndeedinnaٱلشِّرْكَassociating partnersl-shir'kaلَظُلْمٌ(is) surely an injusticelaẓul'munعَظِيمٌۭgreatʿaẓīmun١٣
Et lorsque Luqmân dit à son fils tout en l’exhortant : "Ô mon fils, ne donne pas d’associé à Allah, car l’association à [Allah] est vraiment une injustice énorme".
31:14
وَوَصَّيْنَاAnd We have enjoinedwawaṣṣaynāٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ(upon) manl-insānaبِوَٰلِدَيْهِfor his parents biwālidayhiحَمَلَتْهُcarried himḥamalathuأُمُّهُۥhis motherummuhuوَهْنًا(in) weaknesswahnanعَلَىٰuponʿalāوَهْنٍۢweaknesswahninوَفِصَـٰلُهُۥand his weaningwafiṣāluhuفِى(is) infīعَامَيْنِtwo yearsʿāmayniأَنِthataniٱشْكُرْBe gratefulush'kurلِىto Melīوَلِوَٰلِدَيْكَand to your parentswaliwālidaykaإِلَىَّtowards Meilayyaٱلْمَصِيرُ(is) the destinationl-maṣīru١٤
Nous avons commandé à l’homme [la bienfaisance envers] ses père et mère ; sa mère l’a porté [subissant pour lui] peine sur peine : son sevrage a lieu à deux ans." Sois reconnaissant envers Moi ainsi qu’envers tes parents. Vers Moi est la destination.
31:15
وَإِنBut ifwa-inجَـٰهَدَاكَthey strive against youjāhadākaعَلَىٰٓonʿalāأَنthatanتُشْرِكَyou associate partnerstush'rikaبِىwith Mebīمَاwhatmāلَيْسَnotlaysaلَكَyou havelakaبِهِۦof itbihiعِلْمٌۭany knowledgeʿil'munفَلَاthen (do) notfalāتُطِعْهُمَا ۖobey both of themtuṭiʿ'humāوَصَاحِبْهُمَاBut accompany themwaṣāḥib'humāفِىinfīٱلدُّنْيَاthe worldl-dun'yāمَعْرُوفًۭا ۖ(with) kindnessmaʿrūfanوَٱتَّبِعْand followwa-ittabiʿسَبِيلَ(the) pathsabīlaمَنْ(of him) whomanأَنَابَturnsanābaإِلَىَّ ۚto MeilayyaثُمَّThenthummaإِلَىَّtowards Meilayyaمَرْجِعُكُمْ(is) your returnmarjiʿukumفَأُنَبِّئُكُمthen I will inform youfa-unabbi-ukumبِمَاof whatbimāكُنتُمْyou used (to)kuntumتَعْمَلُونَdotaʿmalūna١٥
Et si tous deux te forcent à M’associer ce dont tu n’as aucune connaissance, alors ne leur obéis pas ; mais reste avec eux ici-bas de façon convenable. Et suis le sentier de celui qui se tourne vers Moi. Vers Moi, ensuite, est votre retour, et alors Je vous informerai de ce que vous faisiez."
31:16
يَـٰبُنَىَّO my sonyābunayyaإِنَّهَآIndeed itinnahāإِنifinتَكُit betakuمِثْقَالَ(the) weightmith'qālaحَبَّةٍۢ(of) a grainḥabbatinمِّنْofminخَرْدَلٍۢa mustard seedkhardalinفَتَكُنand it befatakunفِىinfīصَخْرَةٍa rockṣakhratinأَوْorawفِىinfīٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِthe heavensl-samāwātiأَوْorawفِىinfīٱلْأَرْضِthe earthl-arḍiيَأْتِAllah will bring it forthyatiبِهَاAllah will bring it forthbihāٱللَّهُ ۚAllah will bring it forthl-lahuإِنَّIndeedinnaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaلَطِيفٌ(is) All-SubtlelaṭīfunخَبِيرٌۭAll-Awarekhabīrun١٦
"Ô mon enfant, fût-ce le poids d’un grain de moutarde, au fond d’un rocher, ou dans les cieux ou dans la terre, Allah le fera venir . Allah est infiniment Doux et Parfaitement Connaisseur.
31:17
يَـٰبُنَىَّO my sonyābunayyaأَقِمِEstablishaqimiٱلصَّلَوٰةَthe prayerl-ṣalataوَأْمُرْand enjoinwamurبِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ[with] the rightbil-maʿrūfiوَٱنْهَand forbidwa-in'haعَنِfromʿaniٱلْمُنكَرِthe wrongl-munkariوَٱصْبِرْand be patientwa-iṣ'birعَلَىٰoverʿalāمَآwhatmāأَصَابَكَ ۖbefalls youaṣābakaإِنَّIndeedinnaذَٰلِكَthatdhālikaمِنْ(is) ofminعَزْمِthe matters requiring determinationʿazmiٱلْأُمُورِthe matters requiring determinationl-umūri١٧
Ô mon enfant, accomplis la prière (As-Salât), commande le convenable, interdis le blâmable et endure ce qui t’arrive avec patience. Telle est la résolution à prendre dans toute entreprise !
31:18
وَلَاAnd (do) notwalāتُصَعِّرْturntuṣaʿʿirخَدَّكَyour cheekkhaddakaلِلنَّاسِfrom menlilnnāsiوَلَاand (do) notwalāتَمْشِwalktamshiفِىinfīٱلْأَرْضِthe earthl-arḍiمَرَحًا ۖexultantlymaraḥanإِنَّIndeedinnaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaلَا(does) notlāيُحِبُّlikeyuḥibbuكُلَّeverykullaمُخْتَالٍۢself-conceitedmukh'tālinفَخُورٍۢboasterfakhūrin١٨
Et ne détourne pas ton visage des hommes, et ne foule pas la terre avec arrogance, car Allah n’aime pas le présomptueux plein de gloriole.
31:19
وَٱقْصِدْAnd be moderatewa-iq'ṣidفِىinfīمَشْيِكَyour pacemashyikaوَٱغْضُضْand lowerwa-ugh'ḍuḍمِن[of]minصَوْتِكَ ۚyour voiceṣawtikaإِنَّIndeedinnaأَنكَرَ(the) harshestankaraٱلْأَصْوَٰتِ(of all) soundsl-aṣwātiلَصَوْتُ(is) surely (the) voicelaṣawtuٱلْحَمِيرِ(of) the donkeysl-ḥamīri١٩
Sois modeste dans ta démarche, et baisse ta voix, car la plus détestée des voix, c’est bien la voix des ânes."
31:20
أَلَمْDo notalamتَرَوْا۟you seetarawأَنَّthatannaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaسَخَّرَhas subjectedsakharaلَكُمto youlakumمَّاwhatevermāفِى(is) infīٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِthe heavensl-samāwātiوَمَاand whateverwamāفِى(is) infīٱلْأَرْضِthe earthl-arḍiوَأَسْبَغَand amply bestowedwa-asbaghaعَلَيْكُمْupon youʿalaykumنِعَمَهُۥHis Bountiesniʿamahuظَـٰهِرَةًۭapparentẓāhiratanوَبَاطِنَةًۭ ۗand hiddenwabāṭinatanوَمِنَBut ofwaminaٱلنَّاسِthe peoplel-nāsiمَن(is he) whomanيُجَـٰدِلُdisputesyujādiluفِىaboutfīٱللَّهِAllahl-lahiبِغَيْرِwithoutbighayriعِلْمٍۢknowledgeʿil'minوَلَاand notwalāهُدًۭىguidancehudanوَلَاand notwalāكِتَـٰبٍۢa bookkitābinمُّنِيرٍۢenlighteningmunīrin٢٠
Ne voyez-vous pas qu’Allah vous a assujetti ce qui est dans les cieux et sur la Terre ? Et Il vous a comblés de Ses bienfaits apparents et cachés. Et parmi les gens, il y en a qui disputent à propos d’Allah, sans science, ni guidée, ni Livre éclairant.
31:21
وَإِذَاAnd whenwa-idhāقِيلَit is saidqīlaلَهُمُto themlahumuٱتَّبِعُوا۟FollowittabiʿūمَآwhatmāأَنزَلَAllah (has) revealedanzalaٱللَّهُAllah (has) revealedl-lahuقَالُوا۟they sayqālūبَلْNaybalنَتَّبِعُwe will follownattabiʿuمَاwhatmāوَجَدْنَاwe foundwajadnāعَلَيْهِon itʿalayhiءَابَآءَنَآ ۚour forefathersābāanāأَوَلَوْEven ifawalawكَانَShaitaan waskānaٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُShaitaan wasl-shayṭānuيَدْعُوهُمْ(to) call themyadʿūhumإِلَىٰtoilāعَذَابِ(the) punishmentʿadhābiٱلسَّعِيرِ(of) the Blazel-saʿīri٢١
Et quand on leur dit : "Suivez ce qu’Allah a fait descendre", ils disent : "Nous suivons plutôt ce sur quoi nous avons trouvé nos ancêtres." [Les suivront-ils] même si le Diable (Satan) les appellaient au châtiment de la fournaise ?
31:22
۞ وَمَنAnd whoeverwamanيُسْلِمْsubmitsyus'limوَجْهَهُۥٓhis facewajhahuإِلَىtoilāٱللَّهِAllahl-lahiوَهُوَwhile hewahuwaمُحْسِنٌۭ(is) a good-doermuḥ'sinunفَقَدِthen indeedfaqadiٱسْتَمْسَكَhe has graspedis'tamsakaبِٱلْعُرْوَةِthe handholdbil-ʿur'watiٱلْوُثْقَىٰ ۗthe most trustworthyl-wuth'qāوَإِلَىAnd towa-ilāٱللَّهِAllahl-lahiعَـٰقِبَةُ(is the) endʿāqibatuٱلْأُمُورِ(of) the mattersl-umūri٢٢
Et quiconque soumet son être à Allah, tout en étant bienfaisant, s’accroche réellement à l’anse la plus ferme. La fin de toute chose appartient à Allah.
31:23
وَمَنAnd whoeverwamanكَفَرَdisbelieveskafaraفَلَاlet notfalāيَحْزُنكَgrieve youyaḥzunkaكُفْرُهُۥٓ ۚhis disbeliefkuf'ruhuإِلَيْنَاTo Usilaynāمَرْجِعُهُمْ(is) their returnmarjiʿuhumفَنُنَبِّئُهُمthen We will inform themfanunabbi-uhumبِمَاof whatbimāعَمِلُوٓا۟ ۚthey didʿamilūإِنَّIndeedinnaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaعَلِيمٌۢ(is) the All-Knowerʿalīmunبِذَاتِof whatbidhātiٱلصُّدُورِ(is in) the breastsl-ṣudūri٢٣
Celui qui a mécru, que sa mécréance ne t’afflige pas: vers Nous sera leur retour et Nous les informerons de ce qu’ils faisaient. Allah connaît bien le contenu des poitrines.
31:24
نُمَتِّعُهُمْWe grant them enjoymentnumattiʿuhumقَلِيلًۭا(for) a littleqalīlanثُمَّthenthummaنَضْطَرُّهُمْWe will force themnaḍṭarruhumإِلَىٰtoilāعَذَابٍa punishmentʿadhābinغَلِيظٍۢsevereghalīẓin٢٤
Nous leur donnons de la jouissance pour peu de temps; ensuite Nous les forcerons vers un dur châtiment.
31:25
وَلَئِنAnd ifwala-inسَأَلْتَهُمyou ask themsa-altahumمَّنْWhomanخَلَقَcreatedkhalaqaٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِthe heavensl-samāwātiوَٱلْأَرْضَand the earthwal-arḍaلَيَقُولُنَّThey will surely saylayaqūlunnaٱللَّهُ ۚAllahl-lahuقُلِSayquliٱلْحَمْدُAll praisesl-ḥamduلِلَّهِ ۚ(are) for AllahlillahiبَلْButbalأَكْثَرُهُمْmost of themaktharuhumلَا(do) notlāيَعْلَمُونَknowyaʿlamūna٢٥
Si tu leur demandes : "Qui a créé les cieux et la Terre ? ", ils diront, certes : "Allah !" Dis : "Louange à Allah !" Mais la plupart d’entre eux ne savent pas.
31:26
لِلَّهِTo Allah (belongs)lillahiمَاwhatevermāفِى(is) infīٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِthe heavensl-samāwātiوَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚand the earthwal-arḍiإِنَّIndeedinnaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaهُوَHehuwaٱلْغَنِىُّ(is) Free of needl-ghaniyuٱلْحَمِيدُthe Praiseworthyl-ḥamīdu٢٦
A Allah appartient tout ce qui est dans les cieux et en terre. Allah est Celui qui se suffit à Lui-même, Il est Le Digne de louange !
31:27
وَلَوْAnd ifwalawأَنَّمَاwhateverannamāفِى(is) infīٱلْأَرْضِthe earthl-arḍiمِنofminشَجَرَةٍ(the) treesshajaratinأَقْلَـٰمٌۭ(were) pensaqlāmunوَٱلْبَحْرُand the seawal-baḥruيَمُدُّهُۥ(to) add to ityamudduhuمِنۢafter itminبَعْدِهِۦafter itbaʿdihiسَبْعَةُsevensabʿatuأَبْحُرٍۢseasabḥurinمَّاnotmāنَفِدَتْwould be exhaustednafidatكَلِمَـٰتُ(the) Wordskalimātuٱللَّهِ ۗ(of) Allahl-lahiإِنَّIndeedinnaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaعَزِيزٌ(is) All-MightyʿazīzunحَكِيمٌۭAll-Wiseḥakīmun٢٧
Quand bien même tous les arbres de la terre se changeraient en calames [plumes pour écrire], quand bien même l’océan serait un océan d’encre où conflueraient sept autres océans, les paroles d’Allah ne s’épuiseraient pas. Car Allah est Puissant et Sage.
31:28
مَّاNotmāخَلْقُكُمْ(is) your creationkhalqukumوَلَاand notwalāبَعْثُكُمْyour resurrectionbaʿthukumإِلَّاbutillāكَنَفْسٍۢas a soulkanafsinوَٰحِدَةٍ ۗsinglewāḥidatinإِنَّIndeedinnaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaسَمِيعٌۢ(is) All-HearersamīʿunبَصِيرٌAll-Seerbaṣīrun٢٨
Votre création et votre résurrection [à tous] sont [aussi faciles à Allah] que s’il s’agissait d’une seule âme. Certes Allah est Audient et Clairvoyant.
31:29
أَلَمْDo notalamتَرَyou seetaraأَنَّthatannaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaيُولِجُcauses to enteryūlijuٱلَّيْلَthe nightal-laylaفِىintofīٱلنَّهَارِthe dayl-nahāriوَيُولِجُand causes to enterwayūlijuٱلنَّهَارَthe dayl-nahāraفِىintofīٱلَّيْلِthe nightal-layliوَسَخَّرَand has subjectedwasakharaٱلشَّمْسَthe sunl-shamsaوَٱلْقَمَرَand the moonwal-qamaraكُلٌّۭeachkullunيَجْرِىٓmovingyajrīإِلَىٰٓforilāأَجَلٍۢa termajalinمُّسَمًّۭىappointedmusammanوَأَنَّand thatwa-annaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaبِمَاof whatbimāتَعْمَلُونَyou dotaʿmalūnaخَبِيرٌۭ(is) All-Awarekhabīrun٢٩
N’as-tu pas vu qu’Allah fait pénétrer la nuit dans le jour, et qu’il fait pénétrer le jour dans la nuit, et qu’Il a assujetti le soleil et la lune chacun poursuivant sa course jusqu’à un terme fixé ? Et Allah est Parfaitement Informé de ce que vous faites.
31:30
ذَٰلِكَThatdhālikaبِأَنَّ(is) becausebi-annaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaهُوَHehuwaٱلْحَقُّ(is) the Truthl-ḥaquوَأَنَّand thatwa-annaمَاwhatmāيَدْعُونَthey callyadʿūnaمِنbesides Himminدُونِهِbesides Himdūnihiٱلْبَـٰطِلُ(is) [the] falsehoodl-bāṭiluوَأَنَّand thatwa-annaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaهُوَHehuwaٱلْعَلِىُّ(is) the Most Highl-ʿaliyuٱلْكَبِيرُthe Most Greatl-kabīru٣٠
Il en est ainsi parce qu’Allah est la Vérité, et que tout ce qu’ils invoquent en dehors de Lui est le Faux, et qu’Allah, c’est Lui le Haut, le Grand.
31:31
أَلَمْDo notalamتَرَyou seetaraأَنَّthatannaٱلْفُلْكَthe shipsl-ful'kaتَجْرِىsailtajrīفِىthroughfīٱلْبَحْرِthe seal-baḥriبِنِعْمَتِby (the) Gracebiniʿ'matiٱللَّهِ(of) Allahl-lahiلِيُرِيَكُمthat He may show youliyuriyakumمِّنْofminءَايَـٰتِهِۦٓ ۚHis SignsāyātihiإِنَّIndeedinnaفِىinfīذَٰلِكَthatdhālikaلَـَٔايَـٰتٍۢsurely (are) Signslaāyātinلِّكُلِّfor everyonelikulliصَبَّارٍۢ(who is) patientṣabbārinشَكُورٍۢgratefulshakūrin٣١
N’as-tu pas vu que c’est par la grâce d’Allah que le vaisseau vogue sur la mer, afin qu’Il vous fasse voir de Ses merveilles ? Il y a en cela des preuves pour tout homme patient et reconnaissant.
31:32
وَإِذَاAnd whenwa-idhāغَشِيَهُمcovers themghashiyahumمَّوْجٌۭa wavemawjunكَٱلظُّلَلِlike canopieskal-ẓulaliدَعَوُا۟they calldaʿawūٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaمُخْلِصِينَ(being) sinceremukh'liṣīnaلَهُto Himlahuٱلدِّينَ(in) religionl-dīnaفَلَمَّاBut whenfalammāنَجَّىٰهُمْHe delivers themnajjāhumإِلَىtoilāٱلْبَرِّthe landl-bariفَمِنْهُمthen among themfamin'humمُّقْتَصِدٌۭ ۚ(some are) moderatemuq'taṣidunوَمَاAnd notwamāيَجْحَدُdenyyajḥaduبِـَٔايَـٰتِنَآOur Signsbiāyātināإِلَّاexceptillāكُلُّeverykulluخَتَّارٍۢtraitorkhattārinكَفُورٍۢungratefulkafūrin٣٢
Quand une vague les recouvre comme des ombres, ils invoquent Allah, vouant leur Culte exclusivement à Lui ; et lorsqu’Il les sauve, en les ramenant vers la terre ferme, certains d’entre eux deviennent réticents ; mais, seul le grand traître et le grand ingrat renient Nos signes.
31:33
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاOyāayyuhāٱلنَّاسُmankindl-nāsuٱتَّقُوا۟Fearittaqūرَبَّكُمْyour Lordrabbakumوَٱخْشَوْا۟and fearwa-ikh'shawيَوْمًۭاa Dayyawmanلَّاnotlāيَجْزِىcan availyajzīوَالِدٌa fatherwālidunعَن[for]ʿanوَلَدِهِۦhis sonwaladihiوَلَاand notwalāمَوْلُودٌa sonmawlūdunهُوَhehuwaجَازٍ(can) availjāzinعَن[for]ʿanوَالِدِهِۦhis fatherwālidihiشَيْـًٔا ۚanythingshayanإِنَّIndeedinnaوَعْدَ(the) Promisewaʿdaٱللَّهِ(of) Allahl-lahiحَقٌّۭ ۖ(is) Trueḥaqqunفَلَاso let not deceive youfalāتَغُرَّنَّكُمُso let not deceive youtaghurrannakumuٱلْحَيَوٰةُthe lifel-ḥayatuٱلدُّنْيَا(of) the worldl-dun'yāوَلَاand let not deceive youwalāيَغُرَّنَّكُمand let not deceive youyaghurrannakumبِٱللَّهِabout Allahbil-lahiٱلْغَرُورُthe deceiverl-gharūru٣٣
"Ô hommes ! Craignez votre Seigneur et redoutez un jour où le père ne répondra en quoi que ce soit pour son enfant, ni l’enfant pour son père. La promesse d’Allah est vérité. Que la vie présente ne vous trompe donc pas, et que le Trompeur (Satan) ne vous induise pas en erreur sur Allah !"
31:34
إِنَّIndeedinnaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaعِندَهُۥwith Himʿindahuعِلْمُ(is the) knowledgeʿil'muٱلسَّاعَةِ(of) the Hourl-sāʿatiوَيُنَزِّلُand He sends downwayunazziluٱلْغَيْثَthe rainl-ghaythaوَيَعْلَمُand knowswayaʿlamuمَاwhatmāفِى(is) infīٱلْأَرْحَامِ ۖthe wombsl-arḥāmiوَمَاAnd notwamāتَدْرِىknowstadrīنَفْسٌۭany soulnafsunمَّاذَاwhatmādhāتَكْسِبُit will earntaksibuغَدًۭا ۖtomorrowghadanوَمَاand notwamāتَدْرِىknowstadrīنَفْسٌۢany soulnafsunبِأَىِّin whatbi-ayyiأَرْضٍۢlandarḍinتَمُوتُ ۚit will dietamūtuإِنَّIndeedinnaٱللَّهَAllahl-lahaعَلِيمٌ(is) All-KnowerʿalīmunخَبِيرٌۢAll-Awarekhabīrun٣٤
La connaissance de l’Heure est auprès d’Allah ; et c’est Lui qui fait tomber la pluie salvatrice ; et Il sait ce qu’il y a dans les matrices. Et personne ne sait ce qu’il acquerra demain, et personne ne sait dans quelle terre il mourra. Certes Allah est Omniscient et Parfaitement Informé.
